5:1 ጠየቁ፡ እፎ፡ ዕፀው፡ በሐመልማለ፡ አቍጽል፡ ይትከደኑ፡ ወይፈርዩ፡ ወለብዉ፡ በእንተ፡ ኵሉ፡ በከመ፡ ገብረ፡ ለክሙ፡ ለእሎንቱ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ዘሕያው፡ ለዓለም።你們觀察樹木怎樣披上青翠的葉子、結出果子；你們要因此留心，認識他一切的作為，並要曉得那永遠長存的活神是怎樣造成了這一切。Observe ye how the trees cover themselves with green leaves and bear fruit: wherefore give ye heed and know with regard to all His works, and recognize how He that liveth for ever hath made them so.
5:2 ወምግባሩ፡ ቅድሜሁ፡ ለለ፡ ዓመት፡ ዘይከውን፡ ወኵሉ፡ ምግባሩ፡ ይትቀነዩ፡ ሎቱ፡ ወኢይትመየጡ፡ አላ፡ በከመ፡ ሠርዐ፡ አምላክ፡ ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ይትገበር፡ ኵሉ።他的作為年復一年永遠如此進行，他一切的工都服事他，毫不改變；乃是照著神所命定的，一切都這樣成就。And all His works go on thus from year to year for ever, and all the tasks which they accomplish for Him, and their tasks change not, but according as God hath ordained so is it done.
5:3 ወርእዩ፡ እፎ፡ አብሕርት፡ ወአፍላግ፡ ኅቡረ፡ ይፌጽሙ፡ ኵሎ፡ ግብሮሙ።你們要看海洋與江河怎樣照樣成就它們一切的工，照他的命令毫不改變。And behold how the sea and the rivers in like manner accomplish and change not their tasks from His commandments.
5:4 ወአንትሙሰ፡ ኢተዐገሥክሙ፡ ወኢገበርክሙ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ እግዚእ፡ አላ፡ ተዐደውክሙ፡ ወሐመይክሙ፡ ዐቢያተ፡ ወድሩካተ፡ ቃላተ፡ በአፍ፡ ርኵስት፡ ዘዚኣክሙ፡ ላዕለ፡ ዕበየ፡ ዚኣሁ፡ ይቡሳነ፡ ልብ፡ ኢትከውነክሙ፡ ሰላም።但你們卻不堅定持守，也不遵行主的誡命，反倒偏離正路，用你們污穢的口說出狂傲剛硬的話，攻擊他的尊大。你們這些心硬的人哪，你們必不得平安。But ye—ye have not been steadfast, nor done the commandments of the Lord, But ye have turned away and spoken proud and hard words With your impure mouths against His greatness. Oh, ye hard-hearted, ye shall find no peace.
5:5 ወበእንተ፡ ዝ፡ አንትሙ፡ መዋዕሊክሙ፡ ትረግሙ፡ ወዓመታተ፡ ሕይወትክሙ፡ ታሀጕሉ፡ ወይበዝኅ፡ መርገም፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ወኢይከውነክሙ፡ ሣህል።因此你們必咒詛自己的年日，你們生命的歲月必歸於滅亡，你們敗亡的年日必加增，陷在永遠的咒詛中，你們也必不蒙憐憫。Therefore shall ye execrate your days, And the years of your life shall perish, And the years of your destruction shall be multiplied in eternal execration, And ye shall find no mercy.
5:6 ወበውእቱ፡ መዋዕል፡ ትሁቡ፡ ሰላመ፡ ዚኣክሙ፡ በርግመት፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ለኵሉ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ወኪያክሙ፡ ይረግሙ፡ ኃጥኣን፡ ዘልፈ፡ ወለክሙ፡ ኅቡረ፡ ምስለ፡ ኃጥኣን።在那些日子，你們的名必在一切義人中成為永遠的咒詛；凡咒詛的，必指著你們咒詛，一切罪人與不敬虔的人必指著你們發咒。但義人必歡喜快樂，罪得赦免，凡事蒙憐憫、得平安、蒙寬容，救恩臨到他們，有美好的光。至於你們這一切罪人，必沒有救恩，咒詛卻要常在你們眾人身上。In those days ye shall make your names an eternal execration unto all the righteous, And by you shall all who curse, curse, And all the sinners and godless shall imprecate by you, And all the … shall rejoice, And there shall be forgiveness of sins, And every mercy and peace and forbearance: There shall be salvation unto them, a goodly light. And for all of you sinners there shall be no salvation, But on you all shall abide a curse.
5:7 ወለኅሩያንሰ፡ ይከውን፡ ብርሃን፡ ወፍሥሓ፡ ወሰላም፡ ወእሙንቱ፡ ይወርስዋ፡ ለምድር፡ ወለክሙሰ፡ ረሲዓን፡ ይከውነክሙ፡ ርግመት።你們這些不敬虔的人哪，咒詛必臨到你們；但蒙揀選的人必得著光明、喜樂與平安，他們也必承受地土。And for you the godless there shall be a curse. But for the elect there shall be light and joy and peace, And they shall inherit the earth.
5:8 ወእመሂ፡ ይትወሀቦሙ፡ ለኅሩያን፡ ጥበብ፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ እሎንቱ፡ የሐይዉ፡ ወኢይደግሙ፡ አብሶ፡ ኢ፡ በረሲዕ፡ ወኢ፡ በትዕቢት፡ አላ፡ ይገንዩ፡ ዘቦሙ፡ ጥበብ።那時智慧必賜給蒙揀選的人，他們都要存活，永不再犯罪，無論是出於不敬虔或出於驕傲；那些有智慧的人必存謙卑。And then there shall be bestowed upon the elect wisdom, And they shall all live and never again sin, Either through ungodliness or through pride: But they who are wise shall be humble.
5:9 ወኢይደግሙ፡ አብሶ፡ ወኢይትኴነኑ፡ ኵሎ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሕይወቶሙ፡ ወኢይመውቱ፡ በመዓት፡ ወኢ፡ በመቅሠፍት፡ አላ፡ ኍልቈ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሕይወቶሙ፡ ይፌጽሙ፡ ወይልህቅ፡ ሕይወቶሙ፡ በሰላም፡ ወዓመታተ፡ ፍሥሓሆሙ፡ ይበዝኁ፡ በሐሤት፡ ወበሰላም፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሕይወቶሙ።他們必不再犯罪，他們一生的日子都不再有過犯，也不因神的烈怒或忿怒而死，乃要滿足他們生命日子的數目。他們的生命必在平安中加增，他們喜樂的歲月必在永遠的歡欣與平安中倍增，貫穿他們一生的日子。And they shall not again transgress, Nor shall they sin all the days of their life, Nor shall they die of (the divine) anger or wrath, But they shall complete the number of the days of their life. And their lives shall be increased in peace, And the years of their joy shall be multiplied, In eternal gladness and peace, All the days of their life.
