17:1 ወነሥኡኒ፡ ውስተ፡ አሐዱ፡ መካን፡ ኅበ፡ ሀለዉ፡ ህየ፡ ከመ፡ እሳት፡ ዘይነድድ፡ ወሶበ፡ ይፈቅዱ፡ ያስተርእዩ፡ ከመ፡ ሰብእ።他們把我帶到一處地方，那裡的眾者形如烈火，他們若願意，便顯現如人。And they took and brought me to a place in which those who were there were like flaming fire, and, when they wished, they appeared as men.
17:2 ወወሰዱኒ፡ ውስተ፡ መካን፡ ዘዐውሎ፡ ወውስተ፡ ደብር፡ ዘከተማ፡ ርእሱ፡ ይበጽሕ፡ ውስተ፡ ሰማይ።他們又領我到幽暗之地，到一座山前，那山的頂峯直達諸天。And they brought me to the place of darkness, and to a mountain the point of whose summit reached to heaven.
17:3 ወርኢኩ፡ አርባዕተ፡ መካናተ፡ ብሩሃተ፡ ወነጐድጓድ፡ ውስተ፡ አጽናፍ፡ ወኀበ፡ ዕመቁ፡ ቀስተ፡ እሳት፡ ወሐጽ፡ ወምጕንጳቲሆሙ፡ ወሰይፈ፡ እሳት፡ ወመባርቅት፡ ኵሉ።我看見眾光體之所、眾星與雷霆的庫房，又看見那極深之處，有火造的弓與箭和箭袋、火造的劍與一切閃電。And I saw the places of the luminaries and the treasuries of the stars and of the thunder and in the uttermost depths, where were a fiery bow and arrows and their quiver, and a fiery sword and all the lightnings.
17:4 ወነሥኡኒ፡ እስከ፡ ማየ፡ ሕይወት፡ ዘይትናገር፡ ወእስከ፡ እሳተ፡ ዐረብ፡ ዘውእቱ፡ ይእኅዝ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዕርበተ፡ ፀሓይ።他們又領我到那有聲息的活水之處，到西方之火，就是那承接日落的火。And they took me to the living waters, and to the fire of the west, which receives every setting of the sun.
17:5 ወመጻእኩ፡ እስከ፡ ፈለገ፡ እሳት፡ ዘይውኅዝ፡ እሳቱ፡ ከመ፡ ማይ፡ ወይትከዐው፡ ውስተ፡ ባሕር፡ ዐቢይ፡ ዘመንገለ፡ ዐረብ።我來到一條火河，其火流動如水，傾入西方那大海之中。And I came to a river of fire in which the fire flows like water and discharges itself into the great sea towards the west.
17:6 ወርኢኩ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዐበይተ፡ አፍላገ፡ ወእስከ፡ ዐቢይ፡ ጽልመት፡ በጻሕኩ፡ ወሖርኩ፡ ኀበ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘሥጋ፡ ያንሶሱ።我看見一切大河，又來到那極深的幽暗之處，行到那無一血肉之軀所到的地方。I saw the great rivers and came to the great river and to the great darkness, and went to the place where no flesh walks.
17:7 ወርኢኩ፡ አድባረ፡ ቆራባት፡ እለ፡ ክረምት፡ ወምክዓወ፡ ማይ፡ ዘኵሉ፡ ቀላይ።我看見隆冬幽暗的眾山，與一切深淵之水所從出的地方。I saw the mountains of the darkness of winter and the place whence all the waters of the deep flow.
17:8 ወርኢኩ፡ አፉሆሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ አፍላገ፡ ምድር፡ ወአፉሃ፡ ለቀላይ።我看見地上一切河流的源口，與深淵的源口。I saw the mouths of all the rivers of the earth and the mouth of the deep.
