29:1
ወተንሥአ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወሖረ ፡ ጽባሐ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ላባ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ባቱኤል ፡ ሶርያዊ ፡ እኁሃ ፡ ለርብቃ ፡ እሞሙ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ወለዔሳው ።
雅各起行，到了東方人之地，
Then Jacob went on his journey, and came to the land of the children of the east.
29:2
ወሶበ ፡ ይኔጽር ፡ ወይሬኢ ፡ ዐዘቅተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወሀሎ ፡ ህየ ፡ ሠላስ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ወያዐርፋ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ እስመ ፡ እምነ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፡ ያሰትይዎን ፡ ለውእቶን ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ አፉሃ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፡ እብን ፡ ዐቢይ ።
看見田間有一口井，有三群羊臥在井旁；因為人飲羊群都是用那井裏的水。井口上的石頭是大的。
He looked, and saw a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying there by it. For out of that well they watered the flocks. The stone on the well’s mouth was large.
29:3
ወይትጋብኡ ፡ ህየ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ኖሎት ፡ ወያሴስልዋ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ እብን ፡ እምአፈ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ ያሰትዩ ፡ አባግዒሆሙ ፡ ወያገብእዋ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ እብን ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፈ ፡ ዐዘቅት ።
常有羊群在那裏聚集，牧人把石頭轉離井口飲羊，隨後又把石頭放在井口的原處。
There all the flocks were gathered. They rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone back on the well’s mouth in its place.
29:4
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ አኅዊነ ፡ እምነ ፡ አይቴ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ እምነ ፡ ካራን ፡ ንሕነ ።
雅各對牧人說：「弟兄們，你們是哪裏來的？」他們說：「我們是哈蘭來的。」
Jacob said to them, “My relatives, where are you from?” They said, “We are from Haran.”
29:5
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ታአምርዎኑ ፡ ለላባ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ናኮር ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ናአምሮ ።
他問他們說：「拿鶴的孫子拉班，你們認識嗎？」他們說：「我們認識。」
He said to them, “Do you know Laban, the son of Nahor?” They said, “We know him.”
29:6
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ዳኅንኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ዳኅን ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይትናገሩ ፡ ናሁ ፡ መጽአት ፡ ራሔል ፡ ምስለ ፡ አባግዐ ፡ አቡሃ ።
雅各說：「他平安嗎？」他們說：「平安。看哪，他女兒拉結領着羊來了。」
He said to them, “Is it well with him?” They said, “It is well. See, Rachel, his daughter, is coming with the sheep.”
29:7
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ዓዲኑ ፡ ኢበጽሐ ፡ ሰዐት ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትጋባእ ፡ እንስሳክሙ ፡ ወታሰትዩ ፡ ወይሑር ፡ ይትረዐይ ።
雅各說：「日頭還高，不是羊群聚集的時候，你們不如飲羊，再去放一放。」
He said, “Behold, it is still the middle of the day, not time to gather the livestock together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them.”
29:8
ወይቤልዎ ፡ ኢንክል ፡ ለእመ ፡ ኢይትጋብኡ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ኖሎት ፡ ወያሰስልዋ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ እብን ፡ እምአፈ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፡ ወናሰቲ ፡ አባግዒነ ።
他們說：「我們不能，必等羊群聚齊，人把石頭轉離井口才可飲羊。」
They said, “We can’t, until all the flocks are gathered together, and they roll the stone from the well’s mouth. Then we will water the sheep.”
29:9
ወእንዘ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ይትናገሩ ፡ በጽሐት ፡ ራሔል ፡ ምስለ ፡ አባግዐ ፡ አቡሃ ።
雅各正和他們說話的時候，拉結領着她父親的羊來了，因為那些羊是她牧放的。
While he was yet speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she kept them.
29:10
ወሶበ ፡ ርእያ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለራሔል ፡ ወለተ ፡ ላባ ፡ እኁሃ ፡ ለእሙ ፡ [አሰሰለ ፡ እብነ ፡ እምዐዘቅት ፡ ወአስተየ ፡ ላቲ ፡ አባግዒሃ ።]
雅各看見母舅拉班的女兒拉結和母舅拉班的羊群，就上前把石頭轉離井口，飲他母舅拉班的羊群。
When Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban, his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban, his mother’s brother, Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother.
29:11
ወሰዐማ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለራሔል ፡ ወጸርኀ ፡ በቃሉ ፡ ወበከየ ።
雅各與拉結親嘴，就放聲而哭。
Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
29:12
ወአይድዓ ፡ ለራሔል ፡ ከመ ፡ ወልደ ፡ እኅቱ ፡ ለአቡሃ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ርብቃ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወሮጸት ፡ ራሔል ፡ ወአይድዐቶ ፡ ለአቡሃ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገረ ።
雅各告訴拉結，自己是她父親的外甥，是利百加的兒子，拉結就跑去告訴她父親。
Jacob told Rachel that he was her father’s relative, and that he was Rebekah’s son. She ran and told her father.
29:13
ወሶበ ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ ላባ ፡ ስመ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ርብቃ ፡ እኅቱ ፡ ሮጸ ፡ ወተቀበሎ ፡ ወሐቀፎ ፡ ወሰዐሞ ፡ ወወሰዶ ፡ ቤቶ ፡ ወነገሮ ፡ ለላባ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገረ ።
拉班聽見外甥雅各的信息，就跑去迎接，抱着他，與他親嘴，領他到自己的家。雅各將一切的情由告訴拉班。
When Laban heard the news of Jacob, his sister’s son, he ran to meet Jacob, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. Jacob told Laban all these things.
29:14
ወይቤሎ ፡ ላባ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዐጽምየ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ሥጋየ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወነበረ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ሠላሳ ፡ መዋዕለ ።
拉班對他說：「你實在是我的骨肉。」雅各就和他同住了一個月。
Laban said to him, “Surely you are my bone and my flesh.” Jacob stayed with him for a month.
29:15
ወይቤሎ ፡ ላባ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ እስመ ፡ እኁየ ፡ አንተ ፡ ኢትትቀነይ ፡ ሊተ ፡ በከ ፡ [ንግረኒ ፡] ምንት ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዐስብከ ።
拉班對雅各說：「你雖是我的骨肉 ，豈可白白地服事我？請告訴我，你要甚麼為工價？」
Laban said to Jacob, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what will your wages be?”
29:16
ወቦቱ ፡ ላባ ፡ ክልኤ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ወስማ ፡ ለአሐቲ ፡ ለእንተ ፡ ትልህቅ ፡ ልያ ፡ ወለእንተ ፡ ትንእስ ፡ ራሔል ።
拉班有兩個女兒，大的名叫利亞，小的名叫拉結。
Laban had two daughters. The name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
29:17
ወልያሰ ፡ ትደዊ ፡ አዕይንቲሃ ፡ ወራሔልሰ ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ራእያ ፡ ወለሓይ ፡ ገጻ ።
利亞的眼睛沒有神氣，拉結卻生得美貌俊秀。
Leah’s eyes were weak, but Rachel was beautiful in form and attractive.
29:18
ወአፍቀራ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለራሔል ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለላባ ፡ እትቀነይ ፡ ለከ ፡ ሰብዐተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ራሔል ፡ ወለትከ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትንእስ ፡ (ወሀበኒያ ፡ ኪያሃ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትኩነኒ ፡ ብእሲተ ።)
雅各愛拉結，就說：「我願為你小女兒拉結服事你七年。」
Jacob loved Rachel. He said, “I will serve you seven years for Rachel, your younger daughter.”
29:19
ወይቤሎ ፡ ላባ ፡ ይኄይሰኒ ፡ ለከ ፡ አሀብ ፡ (ለማእምርየ ፡ ወለሥጋየ ፡) እምነ ፡ ለካልእ ፡ ብእሲ ፤ ንበር ፡ እንከሰ ።
拉班說：「我把她給你，勝似給別人，你與我同住吧！」
Laban said, “It is better that I give her to you, than that I should give her to another man. Stay with me.”
29:20
ወተቀንየ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ሰብዐተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ራሔል ፡ ወኮና ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘኅዳጥ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ እስመ ፡ ያፈቅራ ።
雅各就為拉結服事了七年；他因為深愛拉結，就看這七年如同幾天。
Jacob served seven years for Rachel. They seemed to him but a few days, for the love he had for her.
29:21
ወይቤሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለላባ ፡ ሀበኒያ ፡ እንከሰ ፡ ብእሲትየ ፡ ከመ ፡ እባእ ፡ ኀቤሃ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፈጸምኩ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ።
雅各對拉班說：「日期已經滿了，求你把我的妻子給我，我好與她同房。」
Jacob said to Laban, “Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in to her.”
29:22
ወአስተጋብኦሙ ፡ ላባ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ወገብረ ፡ ከብካበ ።
拉班就擺設筵席，請齊了那地方的眾人。
Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
29:23
ወሶበ ፡ መስየ ፡ ነሥኣ ፡ ላባ ፡ ለልያ ፡ ወለቱ ፡ ወአብኣ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ያዕቆብ ።
到晚上，拉班將女兒利亞送來給雅各，雅各就與她同房。
In the evening, he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to Jacob. He went in to her.
29:24
ወወሀባ ፡ ላባ ፡ ለወለቱ ፡ ልያ ፡ ዘለፋሃ ፡ ወለተ ፡ ትኩና ፡ አመተ ።
拉班又將婢女悉帕給女兒利亞作使女。
Laban gave Zilpah his servant to his daughter Leah for a servant.
29:25
ወሶበ ፡ ጸብሐ ፡ ነያ ፡ ልያ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለላባ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ረሴይከኒ ፡ አኮኑ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ራሔል ፡ ተቀነይኩ ፡ ለከ ፡ ምንተ ፡ አስታሕቀርከኒ ።
到了早晨，雅各一看是利亞，就對拉班說：「你向我做的是甚麼事呢？我服事你，不是為拉結嗎？你為甚麼欺哄我呢？」
In the morning, behold, it was Leah! He said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Didn’t I serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?”
29:26
ወይቤሎ ፡ ላባ ፡ ኢኮነ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ በብሔርነሰ ፡ ኢይቀድሙ ፡ ውሂበ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትንእስ ፡ እንዘ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትልህቅ ፡ ሀለወት ።
拉班說：「大女兒還沒有給人，先把小女兒給人，在我們這地方沒有這規矩。
Laban said, “It is not done so in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn.
29:27
ፈጽም ፡ ለዛቲኒ ፡ ሰብዐተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ወእሁበከ ፡ ኪያሃኒ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዘተቀነይከ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ካልአ ፡ ሰብዐተ ፡ ዓመተ ።
你為這個滿了七日，我就把那個也給你，你再為她服事我七年。」
Fulfill the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you will serve with me for seven more years.”
29:28
ወገብረ ፡ ላቲኒ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወፈጸመ ፡ ላቲኒ ፡ ሰብዐተ ፡ ዓመቲሃ ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ ላባ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ራሔልሃ ።
雅各就如此行。滿了利亞的七日，拉班便將女兒拉結給雅各為妻。
Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week. He gave him Rachel his daughter as wife.
29:29
ወወሀባ ፡ ለራሔል ፡ ባላሃ ፡ ትኩና ፡ አመታ ።
拉班又將婢女辟拉給女兒拉結作使女。
Laban gave Bilhah, his servant, to his daughter Rachel to be her servant.
29:30
ወቦአ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ራሔል ፡ ወአፍቀራ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ እምነ ፡ ልያ ፡ ወተቀንየ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ካልእተ ፡ ሰብዐተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ በእንቲአሃ ።
雅各也與拉結同房，並且愛拉結勝似愛利亞，於是又服事了拉班七年。
He went in also to Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him seven more years.
29:31
ወሶበ ፡ ርእየ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ትጸላእ ፡ ልያ ፡ ፈትሐ ፡ ማሕፀና ፡ ወራሔልሰ ፡ ኮነት ፡ መካነ ።
耶和華見利亞失寵 ，就使她生育，拉結卻不生育。
Yahweh saw that Leah was hated, and he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.
29:32
ወፀንሰት ፡ ልያ ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ወልደ ፡ ወሰመየቶ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ሩቤል ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትብል ፡ እስመ ፡ ርእየኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ትሕትናየ ፡ ወእምይእዜሰ ፡ ያፈቅረኒ ፡ ምትየ ።
利亞懷孕生子，就給他起名叫呂便 ，因而說：「耶和華看見我的苦情，如今我的丈夫必愛我。」
Leah conceived, and bore a son, and she named him Reuben. For she said, “Because Yahweh has looked at my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”
29:33
ወደገመት ፡ ፀንሰት ፡ ልያ ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ወልደ ፡ ካልአ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ወትቤ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰምዐኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ እጸላእ ፡ ወሰከኒ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ወሰመየቶ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ስምዖን ።
她又懷孕生子，就說：「耶和華因為聽見我失寵，所以又賜給我這個兒子」，於是給他起名叫西緬 。
She conceived again, and bore a son, and said, “Because Yahweh has heard that I am hated, he has therefore given me this son also.” She named him Simeon.
29:34
ወፀንሰት ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ወልደ ፡ ወትቤ ፡ እምይእዜሰኬ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ምትየ ፡ እስመ ፡ ወለድኩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ሠለስተ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ወሰመየት ፡ ስሞ ፡ ሌዊ ።
她又懷孕生子，起名叫利未 ，說：「我給丈夫生了三個兒子，他必與我聯合。」
She conceived again, and bore a son. She said, “Now this time my husband will be joined to me, because I have borne him three sons.” Therefore his name was called Levi.
29:35
ወፀንሰት ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ወወለደት ፡ ወልደ ፡ ወትቤ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ በእንተዝ ፡ አአምኖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፡ ወበእንተዝ ፡ ሰመየት ፡ ስሞ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ [ወአቀመት ፡ ወሊደ ።]
她又懷孕生子，說：「這回我要讚美耶和華」，因此給他起名叫猶大 。這才停了生育。
She conceived again, and bore a son. She said, “This time I will praise Yahweh.” Therefore she named him Judah. Then she stopped bearing.
