3:1
ወአርዌ ፡ ምድርሰ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ትጠብብ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወትቤላ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ምንትኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘይቤለክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ እምዕፅ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ገነት ።
耶和華上帝所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇對女人說：「上帝豈是真說不許你們吃園中所有樹上的果子嗎？」
Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”
3:2
ወትቤላ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ለአርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ እምነ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ዘይፈሪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገነት ፡ ንበልዕ ።
女人對蛇說：「園中樹上的果子，我們可以吃，
The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden,
3:3
ወእምነ ፡ [ፍሬ ፡] ዕፅሰ ፡ ባሕቱ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ገነት ፡ ይቤለነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢንብላዕ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ኢንግስሶ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢንሙት ፡ ይቤ ።
惟有園當中那棵樹上的果子，上帝曾說：『你們不可吃，也不可摸，免得你們死。』」
but not the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, ‘You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die.’”
3:4
ወትቤላ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ አኮ ፡ ሞተ ፡ ዘትመውቱ ።
蛇對女人說：「你們不一定死；
The serpent said to the woman, “You won’t really die,
3:5
አላ ፡ እስመ ፡ ያአምር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ይትፈታሕ ፡ አዕይንቲክሙ ፡ [ወትከውኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ አማልክት ፡] ወታአምሩ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ወእኩየ ።
因為上帝知道，你們吃的日子眼睛就明亮了，你們便如上帝能知道善惡。」
for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
3:6
ወሶበ ፡ ርእየት ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ከመ ፡ ሠናይ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ለበሊዕ ፡ ወሠናይ ፡ ለአዕይንት ፡ ወለርእይ ፡ ወሠናየ ፡ ያጤይቅ ፡ ነሥአት ፡ ፍሬሁ ፡ ወበልዐት ፡ ወወሀበቶ ፡ ለብእሲሃ ፡ ምስሌሃ ፡ ወበልዑ ።
於是女人見那棵樹的果子好作食物，也悅人的眼目，且是可喜愛的，能使人有智慧，就摘下果子來吃了，又給她丈夫，她丈夫也吃了。
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate. Then she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too.
3:7
ወተፈትሐ ፡ አዕይንቲሆሙ ፡ [ለክልኤሆሙ ፡] ወአእመሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዕራቃኒሆሙ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወሰፈዩ ፡ ቈጽለ ፡ በለስ ፡ ወገብሩ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ መዋርእተ ።
他們二人的眼睛就明亮了，才知道自己是赤身露體，便拿無花果樹的葉子為自己編做裙子。
Their eyes were opened, and they both knew that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together, and made coverings for themselves.
3:8
ወሰምዑ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እንዘ ፡ የሐውር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገነት ፡ ፍና ፡ ሰርክ ፡ ወተኀብኡ ፡ አዳም ፡ ወብእሲቱ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ዕፀዊሃ ፡ ለገነት ።
天起了涼風，耶和華上帝在園中行走。那人和他妻子聽見上帝的聲音，就藏在園裏的樹木中，躲避耶和華上帝的面。
They heard Yahweh God’s voice walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh God among the trees of the garden.
3:9
ወጸውዖ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአዳም ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ አይቴ ፡ አንተ ።
耶和華上帝呼喚那人，對他說：「你在哪裏？」
Yahweh God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”
3:10
ወይቤሎ ፡ አዳም ፡ ቃለከ ፡ ሰማዕኩ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ታንሶሱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገነት ፡ ወፈራህኩ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዕራቅየ ፡ አነ ፡ ወተኀባእኩ ።
他說：「我在園中聽見你的聲音，我就害怕；因為我赤身露體，我便藏了。」
The man said, “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; so I hid myself.”
3:11
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መኑ ፡ አይድዐከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዕራቅከ ፡ አንተ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አኮ ፡ ዘበላዕከ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ዕፀ ፡ ዘአነ ፡ ከላእኩከ ።
耶和華說：「誰告訴你赤身露體呢？莫非你吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子嗎？」
God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
3:12
ወይቤ ፡ አዳም ፡ ብእሲትየ ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀብከኒ ፡ ምስሌየ ፡ ትንበር ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወሀበተኒ ፡ ወበላዕኩ ።
那人說：「你所賜給我、與我同居的女人，她把那樹上的果子給我，我就吃了。」
The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
3:13
ወይቤላ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለብእሲት ፡ ዘንተኑ ፡ ገበርኪ ፡ ወትቤ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ አርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ አስፈጠተኒ ፡ ወበላዕኩ ።
耶和華上帝對女人說：「你做的是甚麼事呢？」女人說：「那蛇引誘我，我就吃了。」
Yahweh God said to the woman, “What have you done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
3:14
ወይቤላ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአርዌ ፡ ምድር ፡ እስመ ፡ ገበርክዮ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ርግምተ ፡ ኩኒ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወእምኵሉ ፡ አራዊተ ፡ ምድር ፡ በእንግድዓኪ ፡ ሑሪ ፡ ወመሬተ ፡ ብልዒ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሕይወትኪ ።
耶和華上帝對蛇說： 你既做了這事，就必受咒詛， 比一切的牲畜野獸更甚； 你必用肚子行走， 終身吃土。
Yahweh God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed above all livestock, and above every animal of the field. You shall go on your belly and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
3:15
አስተፃርር ፡ ማእከሌኪ ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ ዘርእኪ ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ ዘርኣ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለይዕቀብ ፡ ርእሰኪ ፡ ወአንቲ ፡ ዕቀቢ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ።
我又要叫你和女人彼此為仇； 你的後裔和女人的後裔也彼此為仇。 女人的後裔要傷你的頭； 你要傷他的腳跟。
I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
3:16
ወለብእሲትኒ ፡ ይቤላ ፡ አብዝኆ ፡ አበዝኆ ፡ ለሐዘንኪ ፡ ወለሥቃይኬ ፡ ወበሐዘን ፡ ለዲ ፡ ወወሊደኪ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ምትኪ ፡ ምግባኢኪ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ይቀንየኪ ።
又對女人說： 我必多多加增你懷胎的苦楚； 你生產兒女必多受苦楚。 你必戀慕你丈夫； 你丈夫必管轄你。
To the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. You will bear children in pain. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
3:17
ወለአዳምሰ ፡ ይቤሎ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰማዕከ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ብእሲትከ ፡ ወበላዕከ ፡ እምነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ዘአዘዝኩከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትብላዕ ፡ እምነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ባሕቲቱ ፡ ወበላዕከ ፡ ርግምተ ፡ ትኩን ፡ ምድር ፡ በተግባርከ ፡ ወበሐዘን ፡ ብላዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሕይወትከ ።
又對亞當說： 你既聽從妻子的話， 吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子， 地必為你的緣故受咒詛； 你必終身勞苦才能從地裏得吃的。
To Adam he said, “Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and have eaten from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.
3:18
አሥዋክ ፡ ወአሜከላ ፡ ይብቈልከ ፡ ወብላዕ ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ገዳም ።
地必給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來； 你也要吃田間的菜蔬。
It will yield thorns and thistles to you; and you will eat the herb of the field.
3:19
ወበሃፈ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ ብላዕ ፡ ኅብስተከ ፡ [እስከ ፡] ትገብእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መሬትከ ፡ እንተ ፡ እምኔሃ ፡ ወፃእከ ፡ እስመ ፡ መሬት ፡ አንተ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ መሬት ፡ ትገብእ ።
你必汗流滿面才得糊口， 直到你歸了土， 因為你是從土而出的。 你本是塵土，仍要歸於塵土。
You will eat bread by the sweat of your face until you return to the ground, for you were taken out of it. For you are dust, and you shall return to dust.”
3:20
ወሰመያ ፡ አዳም ፡ ስመ ፡ ብእሲቱ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ እስመ ፡ እሞሙ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ለሕያዋን ።
亞當給他妻子起名叫夏娃，因為她是眾生之母。
The man called his wife Eve because she would be the mother of all the living.
3:21
ወገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአዳም ፡ ወለብእሲቱ ፡ አዕዳለ ፡ ዘማእስ ፡ ወአልበሶሙ ።
耶和華上帝為亞當和他妻子用皮子做衣服給他們穿。
Yahweh God made garments of animal skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them.
3:22
ወይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ናሁ ፡ አዳም ፡ ኮነ ፡ ከመ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምኔነ ፡ ያአምር ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ወእኩየ ፡ ወይእዜኒ ፡ ዮጊ ፡ ያአምር ፡ ወያሌዕል ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ወይነሥእ ፡ እምዕፀ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ወይበልዕ ፡ ወየሐዩ ፡ ለዓለም ።
耶和華上帝說：「那人已經與我們相似，能知道善惡；現在恐怕他伸手又摘生命樹的果子吃，就永遠活着。」
Yahweh God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—”
3:23
ወአውፅኦ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአዳም ፡ እምነ ፡ ገነተ ፡ ትድላ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትገበራ ፡ ለምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ እምኔሃ ፡ ወፅአ ።
耶和華上帝便打發他出伊甸園去，耕種他所自出之土。
Therefore Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
3:24
ወአውጽኦ ፡ ለአዳም ፡ ወአኅደሮ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገነተ ፡ ትፍሥሕት ፡ ወአዘዞሙ ፡ ለ(ሱራፌል ፡ ወለ)ኪሩቤል ፡ በሰይፈ ፡ እሳት ፡ እንተ ፡ ትትመየጥ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይዕቀቡ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ዕፀ ፡ ሕይወት ።
於是把他趕出去了；又在伊甸園的東邊安設基路伯和四面轉動發火焰的劍，要把守生命樹的道路。
So he drove out the man; and he placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
