Ὃς κατῴκει ἐν Ἀναθώθ . Ἀπὸ πέντε μυρίωνἹερουσαλὴμ Ἀναθώθ
「他住在亞拿突。」亞拿突距耶路撒冷五萬。
'Who dwelt in Anathoth.' Anathoth is five myriads from Jerusalem.

Ἐπίσταμαί σε . Κατὰ τοὺς τῆς προγνώσεως λόγους
「我認識你。」按照預知的道理而言。
'I know you.' According to the terms of foreknowledge.
1:3⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐκριζοῦν . Ἐκριζοῦν τὴν κακίαν
「拔出」。拔出邪惡。
'To uproot.' To uproot wickedness.
1:4⧉ ⤴︎
Βακτηρίαν καρυΐνην . Ταῦτα ἐκ διαλείμματος , ὅταν εἴπῃ·
「杏木的杖」。這些話是隔了一段之後才說的,當他說:
'A rod of nut-wood [i.e., almond].' These things come after an interval, when he says:

Καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος Κυρίου πρός με λέγων·
「耶和華的話臨到我說:」
'And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:'
1:6⧉ ⤴︎
οὐ γὰρ ἐφεξῆς , ἀλλ' ἐδίδου συνιδεῖν τὰ λεγόμενα
因為並非接連而說,而是使人能綜觀所述之事。
for it was not in unbroken sequence, but he was enabling [the hearer] to grasp together what was said.
1:7⧉ ⤴︎
Τὸ γὰρ ξύλον τοῦτο στεῤῥὸν , καὶ βαρὺ , καὶ πληκτικόν
因為這木材堅硬、沉重,且易於擊打。
For this wood is hard, and heavy, and apt to strike.
1:8⧉ ⤴︎
Τίνος ἕνεκεν ταῦτα ἔβλεπον; Ὅτι τὰ πράγματα καὶ αἱ ὄψεις ἐναργέστεραι ἦσαν , καὶ μᾶλλον ἔπληττον τὸν ἀκροατήν
他們為何看見這些事呢?因為事物與異象更為鮮明,也更能震動聽者。
For what reason did they see these things? Because the realities and the visions were more vivid, and struck the hearer the more.
1:9⧉ ⤴︎
Ἡ γὰρ ῥάβδος πληγῆς ἐστι σύμβολον
因為杖是擊打的象徵。
For the rod is a symbol of a blow.
1:10⧉ ⤴︎
Λόγος , τὸ κάρυον ἀγρυπνίας εἶναι ποιητικόν·
有一種說法:杏樹能使人聯想到儆醒;
The account is that the almond is productive of wakefulness;
1:11⧉ ⤴︎
εἶναι δὲ καὶ εὔθραστον τὸ ξύλον , καὶ σημαίνει τὴν μετριωτέραν ὀργήν·
而且此木質脆易斷,象徵較為溫和的忿怒;
and also the wood is easily broken, and it signifies the more moderate wrath;

ὡς ἀγρυπνοῦντος μὲν τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐπὶ τοῖς ἁμαρτάνουσιν , κολάζοντος δὲ μετριώτερον
彷彿神儆醒察看犯罪的人,卻施以較溫和的懲罰。
inasmuch as God is watchful over those who sin, yet punishes more moderately.

Ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ Βοῤῥᾶ . Διὰ τὸν Βαβυλώνιόν φησι
「從北方而來」。他這樣說是因為巴比倫人的緣故。
'From the face of the North.' He says this on account of the Babylonian.
1:14⧉ ⤴︎
Βορειοτέρα γὰρ ἡ Βαβυλὼν ὡς πρὸς τὴν Ἱερουσαλήμ
因為巴比倫相對於耶路撒冷位於更北之地。
For Babylon lies more to the north in relation to Jerusalem.
1:15⧉ ⤴︎
Πρὸς δὲ διάνοιας , εἰς πρόσωπον τοῦ σκληροῦ Βορέου ὁ διάβολος λαμβάνεται
至於靈意而言,魔鬼是以嚴酷的北風為喻。
But according to the deeper sense, the devil is understood under the figure of the harsh North wind.
1:16⧉ ⤴︎
Λέβητα ὑποκαιόμενον . Κατὰ μὲν τὸ γράμμα τὴν Ἱερουσαλὴμ , καὶ τοὺς ἐν αὐτῇ ἄρχοντας·
「被火燒開的鍋」。按字面而言,指耶路撒冷及城中的掌權者;
'A cauldron set on the fire.' According to the letter, this signifies Jerusalem and the rulers within it;

πρὸς δὲ θεωρίαν , τὴν συνείδησιν τὴν ἑαυτὴν δοκιμάζουσαν
但按靈解而言,指的是自我省察的良心。
but according to the spiritual interpretation, it signifies the conscience testing itself.
1:18⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ σὺ περίζωσαι . Ἀντὶ τοῦ , ἄνδρισαι , θαῤῥῶν πορεύου
「你當束腰」。意即:要剛強,放膽前行。
'And gird yourself.' That is, be manly, and go forth with confidence.
1:19⧉ ⤴︎
Πρὸς δὲ διάνοιαν , περιζώννυται τὴν ὀσφὺν ὁ σώφρων
至於靈意,節制自守的人束緊自己的腰。
But according to the deeper sense, the man of sound mind girds his loins.
1:20⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐν γὰρ τῇ ὀσφύϊ λέγουσιν εἶναι τὰ σπέρματα
因為據說種子(生殖之源)就在腰間。
For they say that the seed of generation resides in the loins.
1:21⧉ ⤴︎
Εἴρηται γὰρ περὶ τοῦ Λευΐ·
因為論到利未,曾這樣說:
For it is said concerning Levi:

Ἔτι γὰρ ἐν τῇ ὀσφύϊ τοῦ πατρός σου ἦν
「因為他尚在你祖宗的腰中」。
'For he was still in the loins of your father.'
1:23⧉ ⤴︎
Μὴ φοβηθῇς ὅτι μετὰ σοῦ εἰμί . Περιφράξας ταῖς ἀγγελικαῖς δυνάμεσιν
「不要懼怕,因我與你同在。」以天使的能力將他四圍圍護。
'Do not fear, for I am with you.' Having hedged him about with angelic powers.

Ἐμνήσθην ἐλέους νεότητός σου . Τῷ Σωτῆρι Χριστῷ ἅγιος Ἰσραὴλ τῷ Κυρίῳ·
「我記念你幼年的恩情」——是對救主基督說的。「以色列歸耶和華為聖」;
'I remembered the mercy of your youth' — addressed to the Savior Christ. 'Israel is holy to the Lord';

ὁ ἀληθινὸς Ἰσραὴλ , ὁ νοῦς ὁ ὁρῶν Θεὸν , ὃν καὶ ἡδέως ὁρᾷ ὥσπερ ἀπαρχήν τινα γεννημάτων
真以色列就是見神的心智,神也樂於看顧他,如同初熟的果實。
the true Israel is the mind that sees God, whom God also beholds with pleasure, as a kind of firstfruits of the harvest.

Λέγεται οὖν Ἰσραὴλ ποτὲ μὲν ὁ Ἰουδαίων λαὸς , ποτὲ δὲ οἱ διορατικώτεροι , καὶ αὐτὸς δὲ ὁ πατριάρχης καὶ ὁ κατὰ σάρκα ἐξ Ἰσραὴλ Χριστός
「以色列」一詞,有時指猶太人民,有時指那些洞察力更強的人,也指族長本人,以及按肉身出自以色列的基督。
'Israel,' then, is used sometimes for the people of the Jews, sometimes for those of keener spiritual insight, and also for the patriarch himself, and for Christ, who according to the flesh is from Israel.

Κατὰ ἔλεος , φησὶ , καὶ ἀγάπην ἔχρισά σε εἰς προφήτην·
他說:「我照著憐憫與愛膏立你作先知」;
'According to mercy,' he says, 'and love I anointed you as a prophet;'

οὐ γὰρ ἐκ κατορθωμάτων τὰ χαρίσματα
因為恩賜並非出於功績。
for the gifts of grace do not come from one's own good deeds.
1:29⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω τῶν ματαίων . Τῶν εἰδώλων καὶ τῶν τρόπων τῆς κακίας
「他們隨從虛妄的事。」即偶像與邪惡的行徑。
'And they went after vain things.' That is, idols and the ways of wickedness.

Εἰς τὸν Κάρμηλον . Ὄρος τοῦτο τῆς Παλαιστίνης
「到迦密。」這是巴勒斯坦的一座山。
'Unto Carmel.' This is a mountain of Palestine.

Ἑρμηνεύεται δὲ ἐπίγνωσις περιτομῆς·
此名解作「割禮之知識」;
It is interpreted to mean 'knowledge of circumcision';

δι' ἧς ἀποτέμνομεν τὰ ἀγαθὰ ἀπὸ τῶν φαύλων
藉此我們將美善之事與卑劣之事分割開來。
through which we cut off the good things from the base.

Διέλθετε εἰς νήσους Χεττιείμ . Τινὲς μὲν Κυπρίους φασὶ , τινὲς δὲ Ἰνδῶν ἕθνη
「你們要過到基提眾島去。」有人說指塞浦路斯人,也有人說指印度諸族。
'Pass over unto the islands of Chittim.' Some say these are the Cypriots, others the nations of the Indians.

Ὁ Κηδὰρ τοῦ Ἰσμαὴλ ἀπόγονος·
基達是以實瑪利的後裔;
Kedar is a descendant of Ishmael;

σημαίνονται δὲ διὰ τούτου τὰ Σαρακηνῶν ἔθνη
藉此名意指撒拉森諸族。
and by this name the nations of the Saracens are signified.

Ἑρμηνεύεται δὲ σκοτασμός·
此名解作「昏暗」;
It is interpreted to mean 'darkening';

φασὶ δὲ καὶ ὀστρακίνην δηλοῦσθαι διὰ τοῦ Κηδάρ
又有人說,「基達」也含有「屬瓦器」之意。
and they also say that 'earthen' — that is, of clay — is signified by the name Kedar.

Ἐπ' αὐτὸν ὠρύοντο λέοντες . Λέοντες πρὸς μὲν τὸ ῥητὸν οἱ Βαβυλώνιοι , πρὸς δὲ διάνοιαν ἀνήμεροι δαίμονες
「獅子向他咆哮。」按字面而言,獅子指巴比倫人;按靈意而言,則指兇猛的鬼魔。
'Upon him lions roared.' The lions, according to the literal text, are the Babylonians; but according to the deeper sense, savage demons.

Παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι· Διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν οἰκήτορας ἀγαθούς
「因無人居住」——因為那裡沒有良善的居民。
'Because it is not inhabited' — because it has no good inhabitants.

Πιεῖν ὕδωρ Γηών . Γηὼν ὁ Νεῖλος , ὕδωρ δὲ . τῶν Αἰγυπτίων , ἡ πολύθεος αὐτῶν πλάνη
「喝基訓的水。」基訓就是尼羅河;水指埃及人〔的水〕——即他們多神的謬妄。
'To drink the water of Geon.' Geon is the Nile; and the water is that of the Egyptians — their polytheistic error.

Πιεῖν ὕδωρ ποταμῶν . Ἀσσυρίων ποταμοὶ οἱ πολυειδεῖς τῆς κακίας τρόποι , καὶ ἐπὶ ἑκατέρων δὲ , ἀμφότερα ἔστι νοεῖν
「喝河流的水。」亞述人的河流指邪惡的種種形式;而對這兩者,皆可作兩層理解。
'To drink the water of the rivers.' The rivers of the Assyrians are the manifold forms of wickedness; and in both cases it is possible to understand both senses.

Ὅτι ἀπ' αἰῶνος συνέτριψας τὸν ζυγόν σου . Ἐξ ἀρχῆς γὰρ σκληροτράχηλος , ἀεὶ ἀντιπίπτων τῷ ἁγίῳ Πνεύματι·
「因為你自古以來就折斷了你的軛。」因為〔以色列〕從起初就是硬著頸項,常常抗拒聖靈;
'For from of old you broke your yoke.' For from the beginning she was stiff-necked, ever resisting the Holy Spirit;

ζυγὸν δὲ τὴν νομοθεσίαν λέγει
「軛」指的就是律法。
and by 'yoke' he means the giving of the Law.
1:44⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐκεῖ διαχυθήσομαι ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ μου . Ἡ γὰρ κακία ἀρχὴν λαβοῦσα εἰς ἄπειρον ἐκχεῖται
「我要在那裡放縱於我的淫行。」因為邪惡一旦開了頭,就會無限地氾濫。
'There I will pour myself out in my fornication.' For wickedness, once it has taken a beginning, pours itself out without limit.
1:45⧉ ⤴︎
Πῶς ἐστράφης εἰς πικρίαν; Τὰ κακὰ γὰρ οὐ κατὰ φύσιν , ἀλλὰ κατὰ παρατροπήν·
「你怎麼變為苦味呢?」因為惡並非出於本性,而是出於偏離〔本性〕;
'How were you turned to bitterness?' For evils exist not by nature, but by deviation from what is natural;

ἄμπελος ἡ ἀλλοτρία , ἡ προαιρετικῶς ἑαυτὴν τῷ Θεῷ ἀλλοτριώσασα
「異樣的葡萄樹」,指那出於己意、自願與神疏遠的〔葡萄樹〕。
the 'alien vine' is the one that, by its own choice, has estranged itself from God.
1:47⧉ ⤴︎
Πῶς ἐρεῖς , Οὐκ ἐμιάνθην; Ἐσχάτης ἀπονοίας τὸν ἁμαρτάνοντα ἀρνεῖσθαι
「你怎能說:我未曾被玷污?」犯罪者若加以否認,乃是極度狂妄之舉。
'How can you say, I have not been defiled?' It belongs to the utmost recklessness for the sinner to deny his sin.

Ἴδε τὰς ὁδούς σου ἐν τῷ πολυανδρίῳ . Πολυάνδριον ὁ τάφος·
「看,你在墳場中的行徑。」「墳場」即是墓地;
'Behold your ways in the burial-ground.' The 'burial-ground' is the tomb;

ἢ οὖν τινα ἔπραττον ἐν τοῖς τάφοις ἀρεστὰ δαίμοσιν , ἢ ὅτι καὶ αὐτοὶ τάφοι κεκονιαμένοι ἦσαν
或指他們在墳墓中行討鬼魔喜悅之事,或指他們自己就是粉飾的墳墓。
either, then, they were doing in the tombs certain things pleasing to demons, or it means that they themselves were whitewashed tombs.

Ἐν ὑποκρίσει τῆς ἀληθείας τὸ ψεῦδος καταδιώκοντες
在虛偽地假裝真理之下,追逐謊言。
pursuing falsehood under the pretense of truth.

Ὀψὲ φωνὴ αὐτῆς ὠλόλυζε , τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῆς ἐπλάτυνεν ἐφ' ὕδατα ἐρήμου . Ὀλολύζουσιν αἱ θήλειαι κύνες εἰς μίξιν τοὺς ἄῤῥενας προκαλούμεναι τοῦτο οὖν , φησὶ , πέπονθεν ἐν σκοτίᾳ ψυχῆς , τοὺς ἀκαθάρτους προκαλουμένη δαίμονας
「她的聲音在夜晚哀嚎,她在曠野的水邊拓寬自己的道路。」母狗會哀嚎以挑動公狗交合;他說,〔以色列的〕靈魂在黑暗中也遭遇同樣的事,挑動污穢的鬼魔。
'Late her voice howled; she widened her ways over the waters of the desert.' Female dogs howl, provoking the males to mating; this, then, he says, she has suffered in the darkness of the soul, provoking the unclean demons.

Τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῆς ἐπλάτυνεν ὑφ' ὕδατα ἐρήμου
「她在曠野的水下拓寬了自己的道路。」
'She widened her ways beneath the waters of the desert.'

ἐνεργειῶν ἐπληροῦντο πνευμάτων ἀκαθάρτων
他們被污穢之靈的作為所充滿。
they were filled with the operations of unclean spirits.

出於己意將自己交付出去。

Τὸν γὰρ μὴ βουλόμενον θεραπευθῆναι , οὐδεὶς ἰάσεται
因為不願接受醫治的人,無人能使他痊癒。
For no one can heal one who is unwilling to be treated.
1:56⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐν τῇ ταπεινώσει αὐτῆς εὑρήσουσιν αὐτήν . Διὰ τὸ προσκεῖσθαι αὐτοῖς
「在她卑微之時,他們必尋見她。」因為她一向依附於他們。
'In her humiliation they will find her.' Because she was devoted to them.

Ἀνδριοῦμαι . Ἐμαυτῇ ἀρκῶ εἰς βοήθειαν , οὐ δέομαι τοῦ Θεοῦ , ἢ τοῦτο λέγει , ὅτι πρὸς ὃ ἐνουθετεῖτο , ἠνδρίζετο εἰς τὴν παρακοήν
「我要逞強。」〔意即〕:我足以自助,無需神。或者此語意指:對於她所受的勸誡,她反倒剛愎地陷入悖逆。
'I shall play the man.' That is: I am sufficient for my own help; I have no need of God. Or he means this: that in regard to that concerning which she was being admonished, she hardened herself into disobedience.

Μὴ ἔρημος ἐγενήθην τῷ Ἰσραήλ; Μὴ οὐκ ἐδωρησάμην αὐτοῖς , φησὶ , πάντα τὰ πρὸς ζωὴν καὶ ὠφέλειαν
「我豈曾向以色列作曠野呢?」他說:我豈不是已經賜給他們一切有益於生命的事物嗎?
'Have I become a wilderness to Israel?' Have I not, he says, given them all things needful for life and benefit?
1:59⧉ ⤴︎
Τί ἔτι καλὸν ἐπιτηδεύσεις ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς σου τοῦ ζητῆσαι ἀγάπησιν; Ψυχὴ ἀφισταμένη ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀληθινοῦ Θεοῦ , οὐκ ἀνεχομένη εἶναι ἄθεος , θεοὺς ἑαυτῇ τοὺς μὴ ὄντας περιποιεῖται , ἐντεῦθεν ἑαυτῇ παράκλησιν περιποιουμένη
「你在你的路上,還要圖謀什麼美事以尋求愛情呢?」離開真神的靈魂,無法忍受自己沒有神,便為自己造出根本不存在的神祇,藉此為自己求得〔虛假的〕安慰。
'What good thing will you still contrive in your ways, to seek love?' A soul that departs from the true God, unable to bear being without a god, procures for itself gods that do not exist, thereby procuring for itself a spurious consolation.
1:60⧉ ⤴︎
Οὐχ οὕτως οὖν , φησὶ , τουτέστιν οὐ δυνατὸν εἶναι ἐκ τῶν ψευδωνύμων θεῶν τῇ ψυχῇ παράκλησιν
他說:「並非如此」,意即:靈魂不可能從那些冒名的神祇獲得安慰。
'Not so, then,' he says — that is, it is not possible for the soul to find consolation from the falsely-named gods.

Οὐκ ἐν διορύγμασιν εὗρον αὐτοὺς , ἀλλ' ἐπὶ πάσῃ δρυΐ . Οὐδὲ λάθρα , φησὶν , ἀλλ' ἐφ' ὑψηλοῦ , τουτέστιν , φανερῶς ἁμαρτάνουσιν
「我沒有在隱密的洞穴中找到他們,卻在每棵橡樹下〔找到〕。」他說,並非隱密而行,而是在高處,也就是公然犯罪。
'I did not find them in hiding-places, but under every oak.' Not even in secret, he says, but on a height — that is, they sin openly.
1:62⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ εἶπας , Ἀθῶός εἰμι . Δέον ἐξομολογεῖσθαι τὰς ἁμαρτίας , καὶ ἀναισχυντεῖς ταύτας ἀρνούμενος; Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κρίνομαι πρὸς σὲ ἐν τῷ λέγειν σε , Οὐχ ἥμαρτον . Εἰ δι' ἄλλου προφήτου προστάττει λέγειν τὰς ἁμαρτίας , ἵνα δικαιωθῇ τις , λέγει [ λύει ] γάρ τις διὰ τῆς ἐξομολογήσεως τὸ πταῖσμα , ἄτοπος πά . λιν ὁ λέγων·
「你又說:我是無辜的。」本應承認自己的罪,你卻恬不知恥地否認嗎?「看哪,我要審問你,因為你說:我沒有犯罪。」倘若他藉另一位先知吩咐人當承認己罪,使人得稱義——因為人是藉著承認而解除過犯——那麼再說「我是無辜」的人便是荒謬的:
'And you said, I am innocent.' Though it is necessary to confess one's sins, are you shameless in denying them? 'Behold, I bring you to judgment, because you say, I have not sinned.' If through another prophet he commands that sins be declared, so that one may be justified — for one dissolves the offense through confession — then absurd again is the one who says:

Ἀθῶός εἰμι , ἀποστραφήτω αὐτοῦ ὁ θυμὸς ἀπ' ἐμοῦ·
「我是無辜的,願祂的怒氣轉離我」;
'I am innocent; let his wrath turn away from me;'
1:64⧉ ⤴︎
ἐπάγει γὰρ τὸ , Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κρίνομαι πρὸς σὲ , ἐν τῷ λέγειν σε , Οὐχ ἥμαρτον·
因為接著又說:「看哪,我要審問你,因為你說:我沒有犯罪」;
for he adds, 'Behold, I bring you to judgment, because you say, I have not sinned;'
1:65⧉ ⤴︎
πανταχοῦ δεῖ τὸν πταίσαντα θεραπεύειν τῇ ἐξομολογήσει τὸ ἁμάρτημα
凡有過犯的人,都必須藉著認罪來醫治自己的罪。
in every case the one who has offended must heal his sin through confession.
1:66⧉ ⤴︎
Ὅτι κατεφρόνησας τοῦ δευτερῶσαι τὰς ὁδούς σου . Οὕτως ἐν καταφρονήσει ἔσχες , καὶ ἀφόβως πράττεις τὰ κακὰ , ὡς καὶ τοῖς φθάσασι ἕτερα προστιθέναι

'Because you scorned to retrace your ways.' You held this in such contempt, and did evil so fearlessly, that you even added other sins to those already committed.

「你與許多牧人行淫。」〔意指〕或指假師傅,或指污穢的鬼魔。
'And you played the harlot with many shepherds.' He means either false teachers, or also the unclean demons.

Οὐχ ὡς οἶκόν με ἐκάλεσας , καὶ πατέρα , καὶ ἀρχηγόν . Εἰ καὶ σὺ , φησὶ , μὴ ἐπεκαλέσω με , σκέπην , καὶ πατέρα , καὶ ἀρχηγὸν τῆς παρθενίας σου , ἀλλ' ἐγὼ οὐκ ἐάσω διαμεῖναι τὰ κακὰ , ἢ χάριτί σε σώζων , ἢ σωφρονισμοῖς
「你豈不是稱我為家、為父、為君王嗎?」他說:即使你未曾稱我為你貞潔的庇護、父親、與君王,我仍不容惡事繼續下去——或以恩典拯救你,或以懲戒管教你。
'Did you not call me house, and father, and prince?' Even if you, he says, did not call upon me as the shelter, the father, and the prince of your virginity, yet I will not allow the evils to continue — saving you either by grace, or by chastisement.

「她卻沒有回轉。」他稱她為「不信實的」(ἀσύνθετος)——與自己不一致且自相矛盾,因為她口中尊崇神,心裡卻是虛謊的;或者也指那廢棄了與神所立之約的人;或者也指那反覆無常、不堅守同一件事的人。
"and she did not return." He calls her "faithless" [ἀσύνθετος] — inconsistent with herself and discordant, because, while honoring God with her lips, she was lying in her heart; or [he calls faithless] the one who dissolved her covenants with God, or also the unstable one, who does not abide by the same things.

Ἔλυσα τὰ πρὸς αὐτὴν δίκαια , παραδοὺς τοῖς Βαβυλωνίοις
「我廢棄了我對她所持有的公義權利,把她交付給了巴比倫人。」
"I dissolved the just claims I held against her, handing her over to the Babylonians."

"Go, and read these words toward the North." Because their hearts had grown cold, and did not have spiritual warmth;

for the North is a cold wind.

「我必不使我的臉長久向著我們。」我不會持續地對我們發怒。
"And I will not fix my face against us." I will not persist in wrath against us.

Καὶ λήψομαι ὑμᾶς ἕνα ἐκ πόλεως , καὶ δύο ἐκ πατριᾶς . Ἐκ δύο σύγκειται ὁ ἄνθρωπος , ἐκ ψυχῆς , καὶ σώματος·
「我必取你們,一人出於一城,兩人出於一族。」人是由兩部分組成的,即靈魂與身體;
"And I will take you, one from a city, and two from a clan." Man is composed of two things, of soul and body;

"They shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord." Because the Holy Spirit rests in the Church;

"Truly the hills were for a lie." The divinations practiced on the mountains, or also the weight of sin.

Οὐκ ὀμνύναι προστάττει , ἀλλ' εἰ ἄρα τις ὀμνύει , βούλεται ἑαυτῶν μὴ τὰ εἴδωλα ὅρκια ποιεῖσθαι
他並非吩咐人起誓,只是若有人確實要起誓,他的意思是不要以偶像作為自己起誓的對象。
He does not command them to swear, but if indeed someone does swear, he wishes that they not make idols the objects of their oaths.

Πλέκει δὲ τὸ , Ζῇ Κύριος , τῷ ὅρκῳ , ἵνα ὀμνύοντες ὁμοῦ , καὶ δοξολογῶσι , καὶ εὐχαριστῶσιν

And he joins "As the Lord lives" to the oath, so that, in swearing, they might at the same time both glorify and give thanks.

因為美好的品行也會成為他人得救的緣由。
For good conduct also becomes for others a cause of salvation.

Περιτμήθητε τῷ Θεῷ ὑμῶν . Τὴν γὰρ κακίαν , οὐ τὴν σάρκα βούλεται περιτέμνεσθαι
「你們當為你們的神受割禮。」因為他所要人割去的是惡,而非肉體。
"Be circumcised to your God." For he wishes wickedness, not the flesh, to be circumcised.

「迷惑的靈在曠野中。」藉著巴比倫人(或羅馬人)的攻擊,或藉著末世的〔臨到〕,那些先前迷失的人——無論是猶太人,或是其餘的人——都將藉著自己所遭受的荒廢,認識到他們從前的迷惑。
"A spirit of wandering is in the wilderness." By the attack of the Babylonians, or the Romans, or by that of the consummation, those who had previously gone astray — whether Jews or the rest of mankind — will, through their own desolation, come to know their former error.

Πνεῦμα πληρώσεως ἥξει μοι . Ἐπειδὴ τὰς ἐρήμους ψυχὰς πνεῦμα πλανήσεως ἐπλάνησεν , ὑπισχνεῖται δώσειν Πνεῦμα ἅγιον ἐπιστρέφον τὰς ψυχὰς πληρούσας αὐτοῦ τὰς Ἐκκλησίας
「充滿的靈必臨到我。」既然迷惑的靈曾使那些空虛的靈魂走入歧途,他便應許要賜下聖靈,使靈魂回轉,充滿祂的眾教會。
"A spirit of fullness shall come to me." Since a spirit of wandering had led the desolate souls astray, he promises to give the Holy Spirit, which turns souls, filling His Churches.

Ἕως πότε ὑπάρχουσιν; Καὶ γὰρ οἱ τὰ μάταια διαλογιζόμενοι πονοῦσιν ἐπὶ τὸ εὑρεῖν τὸ ζητούμενον

"How long shall they exist?" For indeed those who reason about vain things also labor to find what is sought.

"For the voice of one going up from Dan shall come to me." Of one who announces that the capture will happen from Dan even to Beersheba, at the hands of the Babylonians, or the Romans.

Ἔστι δὲ ἡ μὲν Δὰν πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου , ὄρος δὲ Ἐφραὶμ ἡ Σαμάρεια
但,位於約但河對岸;而撒瑪利亞則是以法蓮山。
Now Dan is beyond the Jordan, and Samaria is the mountain of Ephraim.

Φασὶ δέ τινες , καὶ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Δὰν ἥξειν τὸν ἀντικείμενον
也有人說,那敵對者也將從但支派而出。
And some say that the adversary will also come from the tribe of Dan.

Διεσπάσθησαν αἱ δέῤῥεις μου , ἐταλαιπώρησαν αἱ σκηναί μου . Τροπικῶς μὲν τὴν ψυχὴν [ λέγει ], καὶ τὰς ἀναδοτικὰς τῆς ψυχῆς δυνάμεις·
「我的皮子撕裂了,我的帳棚遭難了。」轉義而言,這是指靈魂,以及靈魂那輸布滋養的諸能力;
"My skins have been torn apart, my tents have been afflicted." Figuratively he means the soul, and the nourishing powers of the soul;

而先知的肺腑也因憐憫之情而受攪擾。
and the prophet's own inward parts are also troubled out of compassion.

「帳棚」(或作聖殿)遭難了;或也指在末後,那整個大地——我們如寄居者一般,居住在其中如同居住在帳棚裡。
The tent — or the temple — has been afflicted; or also, at the end, the whole earth, which we inhabit as a tent, being sojourners.

Πάλιν ἢ τὸν ναόν φησιν , ἢ τὰ τῆς κακίας ἐπικαλύμματα , πάντων πρὸς τῷ τέλει φανερουμένων
再者,他所指的或是聖殿,或是遮蓋惡行之物,因萬事都要在末後顯露出來。
Again, either he speaks of the temple, or of the coverings of wickedness, since all things will be made manifest at the end.

"How long shall I see men fleeing, hearing the sound of trumpets?" Of the Babylonians, or the Romans, or also, at the end, of the diabolical proclamation.

Ἢ τοὺς αἰσθητοὺς πολεμίους , ἢ καὶ τοὺς μὴ δυναμένους ἀντιστῆναι τῷ διαβόλῳ φησίν
他所說的,或指有形可見的敵人,或也指那些無力抵擋魔鬼的人。
He speaks either of the sensible enemies, or also of those who are unable to withstand the devil.

或指敵人,或也指那些怪異的〔異端〕宣講。
Either of the enemies, or also of the strange teachings.

Καὶ εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν , καὶ οὐκ ἦν τὰ φῶτα αὐτοῦ . Τὸ σκότος τὸ ἐπὶ τοῦ σταυροῦ γεγονὸς προκαταγγέλλει , ἢ καὶ τὴν τῶν φωστήρων πρὸς τῷ τέλει ἀναίρεσιν
「我又觀看諸天,其中的光竟不在了。」他預先宣告了在十字架上所發生的黑暗,或也預告末後眾光體的除滅。
"And [I looked] to heaven, and its lights were not there." He foretells the darkness that occurred at the cross, or also the removal of the luminaries at the end.

Ἢ τὸ μηδένα δικαιοπραγοῦντα σημαίνει , ἢ καὶ τὸ εἰς οὐδὲν ἀποκαταστῆναι τὴν γῆν διὰ τὴν ἀποστασίαν
或指沒有一人行公義,或也指大地因〔人的〕背道而被歸於虛無。
Either it signifies that no one does what is righteous, or also that the earth is reduced to nothing on account of the apostasy.

Εἶδον τὰ ὄρη , καὶ ἰδοὺ ἦν τρέμοντα . Ἢ τὰ ἐπὶ τοῦ σταυροῦ φησιν , ὅτε αἱ πέτραι ἐσχίσθησαν , ἢ τὰ περὶ τῆς καθόλου συντελείας , ἢ τὰς ἀντικειμένας δυνάμεις κλονουμένας , ὅτε ὁ Χριστὸς ἔλυε τοῦ ᾅδου τὸ δεσμωτήριον
「我觀看群山,看哪,它們正在震動。」他所說的,或指十字架上所發生的事——那時磐石崩裂;或指有關普世末日的事;或指那些敵對的權勢動搖之時——即基督釋放陰間牢獄之時。
"I saw the mountains, and behold, they were trembling." He speaks either of the things that happened at the cross, when the rocks were split, or of the things concerning the universal consummation, or of the opposing powers being shaken, when Christ was loosing the prison of Hades.

Those who have rejected the good shepherd, the wolf seizes — either the manifold onslaught of enemies, or also many-formed wickedness.

Faith has failed from their mouth. He accuses them of faithlessness, or also of lying speech.

The false reed of the scribes has become vain. ‘The reed,’ he says—that is, the lot of the scribes, which they received by lot for teaching—has become vain, because they pursued a private wisdom of their own, and misinterpreted the divine ordinances.

Σοφία τίς ἐν αὐτοῖς; Σοφία τίς ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτοῖς; Οὐδεμία γὰρ ἐν τοῖς τοιούτοις σοφία

What wisdom is in them? What wisdom indeed is in them? For there is no wisdom at all in such men.

Ὁ τῆς φύσεως κρατῶν , καὶ ἄχρηστα δένδρα ποιῶν , οὐ πολλῷ μᾶλλον τὰ τείχη; Εἰσέλθωμεν εἰς τὰς πόλεις τὰς ὀχυράς . Πρὸς μὲν ἱστορίαν εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἔφυγον ὕστερον·
那掌管自然、使樹木變得無用的主,豈不更能使城牆變為無用嗎?『我們進入堅固城去吧。』按史實而言,他們後來逃往埃及;
He who has dominion over nature, and renders the trees useless, will he not much more [render useless] the walls? ‘Let us enter into the fortified cities.’ According to the historical sense, they later fled into Egypt;

For behold, I send forth serpents against you. [Meaning] the enemies—either sensible, or also intelligible.

……狡詐的羅網竟是如此苦毒。
…thus bitter are the nets of cunning.

Μετ' ὀδύνης καρδίας ὑμῶν ἀπορουμένης . Οὐ γὰρ ἐνδέχεται μὴ νύττεσθαι ὑπὸ τῆς συνειδήσεως
因你們心中困惑而痛苦。因為不可能不被良心刺痛。
With the pain of your perplexed heart. For it is not possible not to be stung by conscience.

Διῆλθε θέρος , παρῆλθεν ἀμητός . Ἐν εὐδίας , φησὶ , καιρῷ , ὅτε καιρὸς ἦν τῆς μετανοίας , οὐ μετενοήσαμεν
夏天過去了,收割的時候也過了。他說:在風和日麗、正是悔改之時,我們卻沒有悔改。
The summer has passed, the harvest has gone by. ‘In the season of fair weather,’ he says, ‘when it was the time for repentance, we did not repent.’

難道基列沒有乳香嗎?基列山有許多香柏樹,用其樹脂可醫治多種疾病。
Is there no balm in Gilead? Mount Gilead has many cedars, from which resin is produced for [treating] many ailments.

Ἡ δὲ πόλις ἡ Γαλαὰδ , πόλις τυγχάνουσα τοῦ Ἰορδάνου , εἴδωλα ἔπλαττεν·

But the city of Gilead, being a city by the Jordan, was fashioning idols;

Why then, he asks, though they had those who could heal, did they not bring about healing? That is, did they not close up their wounds, did they not let them form a scar? [Chapter]

誰肯將水澆在我頭上?先知祈求水澆在自己頭上,好使淚泉為他湧出,使他能恰如其分地為那些被罪所傷的人哀哭;
Who will give water to my head? The prophet asks to receive water upon his head, that fountains of tears might arise for him, and that he might fittingly weep for those wounded by sin;
1:247⧉ ⤴︎
ἀριθμεῖται δὲ αὐτῶν τὰ πλημμελήματα , γεγενημένα μὲν καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν τοῦ προφήτου καιρῶν , τολμηθέντα δὲ παρ' αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ τοῦ Δεσπότου Χριστοῦ
並且他們的罪過被一一數算——這些罪過雖發生在先知的時代,但他們也同樣膽敢用以對待救主基督。
and their transgressions are enumerated—transgressions that occurred in the prophet's own time, but which they also dared to commit against the Master Christ.

Λέγει δὲ καὶ κατὰ μισαδελφίας , καὶ κατὰ τοκιζόντων·
他也指責憎恨弟兄的行為,以及放高利貸的人;
And he speaks also against hatred of the brethren, and against those who practice usury;
1:249⧉ ⤴︎
προλέγει δὲ καὶ τὴν παντελῆ τῆς Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐρήμωσιν
他也預言耶路撒冷將要全然荒蕪。
and he also foretells the complete desolation of Jerusalem.

Θυγατρὸς λαοῦ μου . Τῆς συναγωγῆς τῶν Ἰουδαίων
我百姓的女兒:指猶太人的會眾。
Of the daughter of my people: [meaning] the congregation of the Jews.
1:251⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἐνέτειναν τὴν γλῶσσαν αὐτῶν ὡς τόξον . Μηδὲ μικρὸν χαλῶντες , ἀλλ' ἀνενδότως διὰ τῆς γλώττης ἁμαρτάνοντες , ὥσπερ ἀμέλει καὶ τὸν Σωτῆρα λοιδορίαις πλύνοντες
他們彎起舌頭如弓一般。絲毫不鬆懈,反倒藉著舌頭不斷地犯罪——正如他們也曾以辱罵澆灌救主一樣。
And they bent their tongue like a bow. Not slackening even a little, but sinning unremittingly through the tongue—just as, indeed, they also drenched the Savior with reproaches.

Καταπαίξεται . Δόλῳ ὑποσκελίζει
他必戲弄人。他用詭詐使人絆倒。
He shall mock. He trips [his neighbor] up by deceit.
1:253⧉ ⤴︎
Οὐκ ἤκουσαν φωνὴν ὑπάρξεως . Οὐκ ἠθέλησαν ἀκοῦσαι τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τῆς χαριζομένης αὐτοῖς τὴν εἰσάει ὕπαρξιν , ὅ ἐστι τὴν ἀθανασίαν
他們沒有聽從那賜存有之聲。他們不願聽從主的聲音,那聲音要賜給他們永遠的存有,也就是不朽。
They did not hear the voice of existence. They were unwilling to hear the voice of the Lord, which grants to them existence forever, that is, immortality.
1:254⧉ ⤴︎
Ἀπὸ πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ , καὶ ἕως κτηνῶν . Καὶ οἱ ὑψηλοὶ , φησὶ , κατ' ἀρετὴν , καὶ οἱ κτηνώδεις ἐξέκλιναν εἰς τὸ κακόν·
從空中的飛鳥直到走獸。他說:無論是在德行上高尚的人,還是如同走獸一般的人,都偏向了惡;
From the birds of the sky even unto the cattle. ‘Both those who are lofty in virtue,’ he says, ‘and those who are beast-like, turned aside to evil;’
1:255⧉ ⤴︎
σημαίνει δὲ καὶ τὴν παντελῆ τοῦ τόπου ἐρήμωσιν
這也表明那地方將完全荒蕪。
and it also signifies the complete desolation of the place.
1:256⧉ ⤴︎
Ἀνήφθη ὡς ἔρημος παρὰ τὸ μὴ διοδεύεσθαι αὐτήν . Διὰ τὸ μηδένα , φησὶν , ἔχειν ὁδεύοντα ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς Κυρίου γέγονεν ἔρημος
它像曠野一般被焚燒,因為無人經過。他說:因為那裡沒有人行走在主的道路上,所以它變成了曠野。
It has been set ablaze like a desert, because it is not traveled through. ‘Because,’ he says, ‘it has no one journeying on the ways of the Lord, it has become a desert.’
1:257⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἀποστελῶ εἰς αὐτοὺς τὴν μάχαιραν . Τὴν ἀπότομον ἐκδίκησιν
我要打發刀劍到他們中間。指嚴厲的報應。
And I will send the sword against them. [Meaning] severe vengeance.
1:258⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ πρὸς τὰς σοφὰς ἀποστείλατε . Τὰς Ἐκκλησίας , ἢ τὰς τῶν ἁγίων ψυχὰς , ἃς σοφὰς καλεῖ·
你們要打發人去請聰明的婦女來。指教會,或聖徒的靈魂,他稱之為『聰明的』;
And send to the wise women. [Meaning] the Churches, or the souls of the saints, whom he calls ‘wise’;
1:259⧉ ⤴︎
αὗται γὰρ θρηνοῦσι τοὺς ὑπὸ τῆς ἁμαρτίας ἀνῃρημένους , ὡς ὁ Παῦλός φησι·
因為她們為那些被罪所殺害的人哀哭,正如保羅所說:
for these lament those slain by sin, as Paul says:
1:260⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ πενθήσω πολλοὺς τῶν προημαρτηκότων , καὶ μὴ μετανοησάντων
『我要為許多從前犯了罪、卻不悔改的人悲傷。』
‘And I shall mourn many of those who sinned beforehand, and have not repented.’
1:261⧉ ⤴︎
Καταγαγέτωσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν δάκρυα . Τὸ τῆς μετανοίας δάκρυον
願你們的眼睛流下眼淚。指悔改的眼淚。
Let your eyes bring down tears. [Meaning] the tear of repentance.
1:262⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐγκατελίπομεν τὴν γῆν . Τῆς εὐσεβείας τὴν γνῶσιν
我們離棄了那地。指虔敬的知識。
We have forsaken the land. [Meaning] the knowledge of piety.
1:263⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἀπεῤῥίψαμεν τὰ σκηνώματα ἡμῶν . Αὐτοὶ ἑαυτοῖς τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας αἴτιοι γεγόναμεν
我們拋棄了自己的帳幕。我們自己成了自己被擄的緣由。
And we have cast away our dwellings. We ourselves have become the cause of our own captivity.
1:264⧉ ⤴︎
Ὅτι ἀνέβη θάνατος διὰ τῶν θυρίδων ὑμῶν . Καθόλου μὲν διὰ τῶν διδασκάλων τῶν δοκούντων τὰ κεκρυμμένα ἑρμηνεύειν
因為死亡從你們的窗戶爬進來了。總體而言,這是指那些自以為能解釋隱秘之事的教師;
For death has come up through your windows. In general, [this refers to] the teachers who suppose they interpret hidden things;
1:265⧉ ⤴︎
Αἱ γὰρ θυρίδες φανεροποιοῦσι τὰ ἐντὸς ἑνὸς ἑκάστου διὰ τῶν αἰσθητηρίων·
因為窗戶藉著感官,將每個人裡面的東西顯露出來;
for windows make manifest the things within each person, through the sense-organs;

συνέβη δὲ ἴσως τοῦτο καθ' ἱστορίαν , διὰ τῶν πολεμίων·
而按史實而言,這事或許是藉著敵人發生的;
and this perhaps happened, according to the historical sense, through the enemies;

θυρίδες εἰσὶν αἱ τῆς πλάνης ἐπίνοιαι
窗戶就是那迷惑人的意念。
the windows are the devisings of error.
1:268⧉ ⤴︎
καυχάσθω συνιεῖν καὶ γινώσκειν . Παραινεῖ ὁ λόγος ἐν μηδενὶ καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῷ συνιέναι , καὶ γινώσκειν τὸν Κύριον , καὶ ὅτι τὸ θέλημα τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐστι , τὸ ἔλεος , καὶ τὸ κρῖμα , καὶ ἡ δικαιοσύνη
讓他所誇的是明白且認識〔我〕。此節勸勉人除了明白並認識主之外,不要以任何事誇口,並要知道神的旨意就是憐憫、公平與公義。
Let him boast to understand and to know [me]. The passage exhorts us to boast in nothing except in understanding and knowing the Lord, and [in knowing] that the will of God is mercy, and judgment, and righteousness.
1:269⧉ ⤴︎
Αἰγύπτιοι οἱ Βάρβαροι καλοῦνται παρὰ τῇ θείᾳ Γραφῇ
埃及人在聖經中被稱為『野蠻人』。
The Egyptians are called ‘Barbarians’ by the divine Scripture.
1:270⧉ ⤴︎
Ἰδουμαῖοί τε , οἱ καὶ Ἐδωμῖται , πόρνοι , καὶ βέβηλοι , ὡς ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἡσαῦ·
以土買人,也就是以東人,被稱為淫亂之人與褻瀆之人,因為他們出自以掃;
And the Idumeans, who are also called Edomites, [are called] fornicators and profane, as being descended from Esau;
1:271⧉ ⤴︎
οἱ δὲ Μωαβῖται , καὶ Ἀμμανῖται διὰ τὸν τρόπον κελεύονται μὴ εἰσιέναι εἰς Ἐκκλησίαν Θεοῦ
至於摩押人和亞捫人,因他們的行為,被吩咐不可進入神的會眾。
but the Moabites and Ammonites, on account of their conduct, are commanded not to enter into the assembly of God.
1:272⧉ ⤴︎
Τῶν Ἰουδαίων οὖν τὸν τρόπον , διὰ τῶν ἐθνῶν τούτων ἐχαρακτήρισε , τούτοις αὐτοὺς καλέσας τοῖς ὀνόμασι
因此,他藉著這些外邦民族來刻畫猶太人的行為,用這些名稱稱呼他們。
Therefore he characterized the conduct of the Jews by means of these nations, calling them by these very names.
1:273⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα περικειρόμενον . Τοὺς τὸ φαινόμενον καλλωπίζοντας
以及一切剃周圍頭髮的人。指那些只修飾外表的人。
And upon everyone who shaves the corners of his hair. [Meaning] those who beautify [only] outward appearance.
1:274⧉ ⤴︎
Λέγει δὲ τοὺς μόρφωσιν ἔχοντας εὐσεβείας , τὴν δὲ δύναμιν αὐτῆς ἠρνημένους
他所指的是那些有敬虔的外貌,卻背棄了敬虔實質能力的人。
He speaks of those who have the outward form of piety, but have denied its power.
1:275⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν σημείων τοῦ οὐρανοῦ μὴ φοβεῖσθε , ὅτι . Τὰς ἡλιακὰς , φησὶν , ἀνακυκλώσεις ὁρῶντες , καὶ σελήνην φθίνουσαν καὶ αὐξανομένην , καὶ ἀστέρων σχέσιν καὶ ἀπόστασιν , καὶ τὰς κατὰ καιρὸν αὐτῶν ἐκφάνσεις καὶ ἀποκρύψεις , καὶ τὴν εὐάρμοστον αὐτῶν κίνησιν , μὴ φοβηθῆτε αὐτὰ ὡς θεοὺς , ἀλλὰ τὸν ταῦτα ποιήσαντα
也不要懼怕天象,因為——他說:你們看見太陽的週而復始,月亮的虧盈,星辰的位置與距離,以及它們按時的顯現與隱沒,還有它們和諧的運行,不要把這些當作神明來懼怕,而要敬畏那造這一切的主。
And do not fear the signs of heaven, because— ‘Seeing,’ he says, ‘the cyclical revolutions of the sun, the waning and waxing of the moon, the relation and distance of the stars, their appearing and disappearing according to season, and their harmonious motion, do not fear these things as gods, but [fear] him who made them.’
1:276⧉ ⤴︎
Ὁ ἀνορθώσας τὴν οἰκουμένην ἐν τῇ σοφίᾳ αὐτοῦ . Ἐν τῷ Υἱῷ·
他憑自己的智慧建立了世界。指藉著聖子;
He who has set the world upright by his wisdom. [Meaning] in the Son;
1:277⧉ ⤴︎
ἐν αὐτῷ γὰρ ἐκτίσθη τὰ πάντα
因為萬有都是藉著他被造的。
for in him all things were created.
1:278⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐμωράνθη πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ἀπὸ γνώσεως , κατησχύνθη
各人都因無知識而變為愚昧,他們都蒙羞,
Every man has become foolish, devoid of knowledge; he has been put to shame,
1:279⧉ ⤴︎
ὅτι ψευδῆ ἐχώνευσεν . Ὁ μὴ τὴν γνῶσιν ἔχων ταύτης τῆς θεολογίας , μωρός ἐστιν
……因為他鑄造了虛假的〔偶像〕。凡不具備這種神學知識的人,就是愚昧的。
…because he has cast false [idols]. He who does not possess the knowledge of this theology is foolish.
1:280⧉ ⤴︎
ἐν καιρῷ ἐπισκοπῆς αὐτῶν ἀπολοῦνται . Ὅταν ὁ Θεὸς ἐπισκέψηται τὴν γῆν , ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ δηλονότι τοῦ Χριστοῦ
在他們受懲罰的時候,他們必滅亡。這是指當神眷顧大地之時,也就是基督降臨之時。
in the time of their visitation they shall perish. When God visits the earth—evidently at the coming of Christ.
1:281⧉ ⤴︎
Συνήγαγεν ἔξωθεν τὴν ὑπόστασιν αὐτοῦ κατοικοῦσαν . Ὦ γνῶσις Θεοῦ , ἡ ἐν τοῖς ἐκλεκτοῖς κατοικοῦσα , ἀπὸ τῶν θαυμάτων αὐτοῦ , καὶ τῶν ποιημάτων καταλαμβάνεταί σου ἡ ὑπόστασις
祂從外面聚集了祂那內住的實體。噢,神的知識啊,你住在選民之中:從祂的奇事,也從祂的作為,你的實存被領悟。
He gathered from outside his indwelling substance. O knowledge of God, that dwells in the elect: from his wonders, and from his works, your reality is apprehended.
1:282⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἡ Ἐκκλησία δὲ ἔξωθεν , τουτέστιν ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν συνήχθη
教會也是照樣從外面被聚集,就是從外邦人中被聚集。
And the Church too was gathered from outside, that is, from the nations.
1:283⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ ἠρήμωσαν . Οὐκ ἐῶντες ἐντρέφεσθαι τῇ πίστει καὶ ταῖς καλαῖς διδασκαλίαις·
他們使他的地方變為荒涼。不容許它在信仰與美善的教導中得著滋養;
And they laid his place waste. Not allowing it to be nourished in the faith and in good teachings;
1:284⧉ ⤴︎
ἢ ἄρδην ἀνελόντες , ἢ εἰδωλολατρεῖν ἀναγκάσαντες
或是將它徹底毀滅,或是強迫它拜偶像。
either utterly destroying it, or compelling it to worship idols.
1:285⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ἄνθρωπος , ὂς οὐκ ἀκούσεται τῶν λόγων . Ὁ Θεὸς καταρᾶται , ἀλλ' οἱ τοὺς θείους παραβαίνοντες νόμους ἑαυτοῖς ἐπισπῶνται τὰ δεινά
凡不聽這些話的人必受咒詛。神說出咒詛,但那違犯神聖律法的人,卻是自己招來禍患。
Cursed is the man who will not hear the words. God utters the curse, but it is those who transgress the divine laws who draw the calamities upon themselves.
1:286⧉ ⤴︎
Τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτοῖς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα , καὶ μέλι . Πρὸς μὲν ἱστορίαν , τὴν Παλαιστίνην·
要把流奶與蜜之地賜給他們。按照歷史的意思,這是指巴勒斯坦;
to give them a land flowing with milk and honey. According to the historical sense, Palestine;
1:287⧉ ⤴︎
πρὸς δὲ διάνοιαν , τὴν Ἐκκλησίαν·
但按照靈意,則是指教會;
but according to the spiritual sense, the Church;
1:288⧉ ⤴︎
γάλα μὲν ποτίζουσαν τοὺς ἀρτιφύτους , μέλι δὲ τοὺς δυναμένους ἀπογεύσασθαι τῶν τελειοτέρων μαθημάτων
教會使初栽種的人得飲奶,卻使那些能夠嚐到更完全教訓的人得嚐蜜。
which gives milk to drink to those newly planted, but honey to those able to taste the more perfect teachings.
1:289⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἀπεκρίθην , καὶ εἶπα , Γένοιτο , Κύριε . Τὴν θεοφάνιον ἡμέραν τοῦ Σωτῆρος ὁ προφήτης προβλέπει , καθ' ἣν ταῦτα τοῖς πιστοῖς δέδοται , ἣν καὶ εὐχόμενος παραγενέσθαι , φησὶ , Γένοιτο , Κύριε
我就回答說:主啊,願如此成就。先知預先看見救主顯現的日子,這些事就是在那日賜給信徒的;他祈願那日到來,便說:主啊,願如此成就。
And I answered and said, So be it, Lord. The prophet foresees the day of the Savior's manifestation, in which these things are given to the faithful; and praying that it come, he says, So be it, Lord.
1:290⧉ ⤴︎
Εὑρέθη σύνδεσμος ἐν ἀνδράσιν Ἰούδα . Συμφωνία πάντων ἐπὶ τὸ χεῖρον
在猶大人中間查出一個同謀。這是眾人在惡事上的一致同心。
A conspiracy was found among the men of Judah. A concord of all unto evil.
1:291⧉ ⤴︎
Τί ἡ ἠγαπημένη; Ἀντὶ τοῦ , Πῶς ἡ ἠγαπημένη; Ἐλαίαν ὡραίαν , εὔσκιον τῷ εἴδει . Ὅτε τοὺς πατριάρχας ἐκλεξάμενος ἐφύτευσεν
「這蒙愛的是甚麼?」——即「這蒙愛的是何等〔美〕!」的意思。「美麗的橄欖樹,形貌蔥鬱」——這是指祂揀選列祖、栽種她的時候。
"What is the beloved?" — instead of, "How [beautiful] is the beloved!" "A fair olive tree, shady in form" — when he chose the patriarchs and planted her.
1:292⧉ ⤴︎
Εἰς φωνὴν περιτομῆς αὐτῆς , ἀνήφθη πῦρ ἐπ' αὐτὴν , μεγάλη ἡ θλίψις ἐπὶ σέ . Ὅτε , φησὶν , ἔδει καλλιεργηθῆναι τὴν Συναγωγὴν , τότε πυρὸς ἑαυτὴν ἀξίαν κατέστησεν·
因她受割禮的聲音,火就在她身上燃起;大災難臨到你了。他說:當會堂本應受到良好栽培之時,她卻使自己配受火焚;
At the sound of her circumcision fire was kindled upon her; great is the affliction upon you. When, he says, the Synagogue ought to have been well tended, then she made herself worthy of fire;
1:293⧉ ⤴︎
ἔδει δὲ αὐτὴν καλλιεργηθῆναι ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ τοῦ Χριστοῦ
因為她本應在基督降臨之時受到良好的栽培。
for she ought to have been well tended at the coming of Christ.
1:294⧉ ⤴︎
Κύριε , γνώρισόν μοι , καὶ γνώσομαι . Θείαν . ἀποκάλυψιν αἰτεῖ λαβεῖν περί τε τῶν καθ' ἑαυτὸν , καὶ τῶν ἐπὶ τοῦ Δεσπότου Χριστοῦ
主啊,求你使我知道,我就知道了。他祈求得著神聖的啟示,一則關乎他自己的事,一則關乎主基督的事。
Lord, make known to me, and I shall know. He asks to receive a divine revelation, both concerning the things that pertain to himself, and concerning those that pertain to the Master Christ.
1:295⧉ ⤴︎
Ἐγὼ δὲ ὡς ἀρνίον ἄκακον . Ὡς γὰρ πρόβατον ἐπὶ σφαγὴν ἤχθη ὁ Κύριος , κατὰ τὸν Ἡσαΐαν
但我如同無邪的羔羊。因為照以賽亞所說,主如同羊被牽去宰殺。
But I was like a guileless lamb. For, according to Isaiah, the Lord was led as a sheep to the slaughter.
1:296⧉ ⤴︎
Οὐ γὰρ ἐρίσει , φησὶν , οὐδὲ κραυγάσει , οὐδὲ ἀκουσθήσεται ἔξω ἡ φωνὴ αὐτοῦ . Ἐμβάλωμεν ξύλον . Πρὸς μὲν τὸν προφήτην , βοτάνην τινὰ θανάσιμον , ἵνα ἐσθίων ὀδυνᾶται
經上說:「他不爭競,也不喧嚷,人也聽不見他的聲音在外面。」「我們把木頭放進去。」就先知本身而言,是指某種致命的草藥,使他吃了便受痛苦;
"For he will not strive," it says, "nor cry out, nor will his voice be heard outside." "Let us put in wood." As applied to the prophet, some deadly herb, that by eating it he might be caused to suffer;
1:297⧉ ⤴︎
Τῷ δὲ τιμίῳ σταυρῷ τὸν ἄρτον τῆς ζωῆς ἐνέπηξαν
但他們藉著寶貴的十字架,把生命的糧釘在其上。
but by the precious cross they fastened the bread of life [to it].
1:298⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ ἐκτρίψωμεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ γῆς ζώντων , καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ μνησθῇ οὐκέτι . Ὅρα πῶς καὶ ἀνώνυμον αὐτὸν ποιῆσαι θέλουσιν , οὐδὲ μνήμην τινὰ αὐτοῦ εἶναι βουλόμενοι
我們要把他從活人之地除滅,使他的名不再被記念。你看,他們甚至想要使他無名無姓,不願留下絲毫關於他的記念。
And let us blot him out from the land of the living, and his name shall no more be remembered. See how they wish to make him even nameless, wanting there to be no memory of him whatsoever.
