2:1
Super custodiam meam stabo, et figam gradum super munitionem : et contemplabor ut videam quid dicatur mihi, et quid respondeam ad arguentem me.
我要站在守望所, 立在望樓上觀看, 看耶和華對我說甚麼話, 我可用甚麼話向他訴冤 。
I will stand at my watch and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
2:2
Et respondit mihi Dominus, et dixit : Scribe visum, et explana eum super tabulas, ut percurrat qui legerit eum.
他對我說:將這默示明明地寫在版上, 使讀的人容易讀 。
Yahweh answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.
2:3
Quia adhuc visus procul ; et apparebit in finem, et non mentietur : si moram fecerit, exspecta illum, quia veniens veniet, et non tardabit.
因為這默示有一定的日期, 快要應驗,並不虛謊。 雖然遲延,還要等候; 因為必然臨到,不再遲延。
For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it, because it will surely come. It won’t delay.
2:4
Ecce qui incredulus est, non erit recta anima ejus in semetipso ; justus autem in fide sua vivet.
迦勒底人自高自大,心不正直; 惟義人因信得生。
Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
2:5
Et quomodo vinum potantem decipit, sic erit vir superbus, et non decorabitur : qui dilatavit quasi infernus animam suam, et ipse quasi mors, et non adimpletur : et congregabit ad se omnes gentes, et coacervabit ad se omnes populos.
迦勒底人因酒詭詐,狂傲, 不住在家中, 擴充心欲,好像陰間。 他如死不能知足, 聚集萬國,堆積萬民都歸自己。
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.
2:6
Numquid non omnes isti super eum parabolam sument, et loquelam aenigmatum ejus, et dicetur : Vae ei qui multiplicat non sua ? usquequo et aggravat contra se densum lutum ?
這些國的民豈不都要提起詩歌並俗語譏刺他說: 禍哉!迦勒底人,你增添不屬自己的財物, 多多取人的當頭,要到幾時為止呢?
Won’t all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion! How long?’
2:7
Numquid non repente consurgent qui mordeant te, et suscitabuntur lacerantes te, et eris in rapinam eis ?
咬傷你的豈不忽然起來, 擾害你的豈不興起, 你就作他們的擄物嗎?
Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
2:8
Quia tu spoliasti gentes multas, spoliabunt te omnes qui reliqui fuerint de populis, propter sanguinem hominis, et iniquitatem terrae, civitatis, et omnium habitantium in ea.
因你搶奪許多的國,殺人流血, 向國內的城並城中一切居民施行強暴, 所以各國剩下的民都必搶奪你。
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
2:9
Vae qui congregat avaritiam malam domui suae, ut sit in excelso nidus ejus, et liberari se putat de manu mali !
為本家積蓄不義之財、 在高處搭窩、指望免災的有禍了!
Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!
2:10
Cogitasti confusionem domui tuae ; concidisti populos multos, et peccavit anima tua.
你圖謀剪除多國的民,犯了罪, 使你的家蒙羞,自害己命。
You have devised shame to your house by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
2:11
Quia lapis de pariete clamabit, et lignum, quod inter juncturas aedificiorum est, respondebit.
牆裏的石頭必呼叫; 房內的棟樑必應聲。
For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.
2:12
Vae qui aedificat civitatem in sanguinibus, et praeparat urbem in iniquitate !
以人血建城、 以罪孽立邑的有禍了!
Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!
2:13
Numquid non haec sunt a Domino exercituum ? laborabunt enim populi in multo igne, et gentes in vacuum, et deficient.
眾民所勞碌得來的被火焚燒, 列國由勞乏而得的歸於虛空, 不都是出於萬軍之耶和華嗎?
Behold, isn’t it from Yahweh of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?
2:14
Quia replebitur terra, ut cognoscant gloriam Domini, quasi aquae operientes mare.
認識耶和華榮耀的知識要充滿遍地, 好像水充滿洋海一般。
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Yahweh’s glory, as the waters cover the sea.
2:15
Vae qui potum dat amico suo mittens fel suum, et inebrians ut aspiciat nuditatem ejus !
給人酒喝、又加上毒物、 使他喝醉、好看見他下體的有禍了!
“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!
2:16
Repletus es ignominia pro gloria ; bibe tu quoque, et consopire. Circumdabit te calix dexterae Domini, et vomitus ignominiae super gloriam tuam.
你滿受羞辱,不得榮耀; 你也喝吧,顯出是未受割禮的! 耶和華右手的杯必傳到你那裏; 你的榮耀就變為大大地羞辱。
You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of Yahweh’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
2:17
Quia iniquitas Libani operiet te, et vastitas animalium deterrebit eos de sanguinibus hominum, et iniquitate terrae, et civitatis, et omnium habitantium in ea.
你向黎巴嫩行強暴與殘害 驚嚇野獸的事必遮蓋你; 因你殺人流血, 向國內的城並城中一切居民施行強暴。
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
2:18
Quid prodest sculptile, quia sculpsit illud fictor suus, conflatile, et imaginem falsam ? quia speravit in figmento fictor ejus, ut faceret simulacra muta.
雕刻的偶像,人將它刻出來, 有甚麼益處呢? 鑄造的偶像就是虛謊的師傅。 製造者倚靠這啞巴偶像有甚麼益處呢?
“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
2:19
Vae qui dicit ligno : Expergiscere ; Surge, lapidi tacenti ! Numquid ipse docere poterit ? ecce iste coopertus est auro et argento, et omnis spiritus non est in visceribus ejus.
對木偶說:醒起! 對啞巴石像說:起來!那人有禍了! 這個還能教訓人嗎? 看哪,是包裹金銀的,其中毫無氣息。
Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all within it.
2:20
Dominus autem in templo sancto suo : sileat a facie ejus omnis terra !
惟耶和華在他的聖殿中; 全地的人都當在他面前肅敬靜默。
But Yahweh is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!”
