3:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Κἀγώ , ἀδελφοί , οὐκ ἠδυνήθην λαλῆσαι ὑμῖν ὡς πνευματικοῖς ἀλλ’ ὡς σαρκίνοις , ὡς νηπίοις ἐν Χριστῷ .
Et ego , fratres , non potui vobis loqui quasi spiritualibus , sed quasi carnalibus . Tamquam parvulis in Christo ,
ወአንሰ አኀውየ ኢክህልኩ ምህሮተክሙ ከመ ዘመንፈሳውያን ዘእንበለ ከመ ዘበሕገ ሥጋ ወደም ወከመ ዘለሕፃናት በሃይማኖተ ክርስቶስ ።
Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.
3:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ γάλα ὑμᾶς ἐπότισα οὐ βρῶμα · οὔπω γὰρ ἐδύνασθε . ἀλλ’ οὐδὲ ἔτι νῦν δύνασθε ·
lac vobis potum dedi , non escam : nondum enim poteratis : sed nec nunc quidem potestis : adhuc enim carnales estis .
ሐሊበ ወጋእኩክሙ ወአኮ መብልዐ ጽኑዐ ዘአብላዕኩክሙ እስመ ዓዲክሙ ኢጸናዕክሙ ወበሕግ ዘሥጋ ወደም ሀለውክሙ ።
I fed you with milk, not with solid food, for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, you aren’t ready even now,
3:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἔτι γὰρ σαρκικοί ἐστε . ὅπου γὰρ ἐν ὑμῖν ζῆλος καὶ ἔρις , οὐχὶ σαρκικοί ἐστε καὶ κατὰ ἄνθρωπον περιπατεῖτε ;
Cum enim sit inter vos zelus , et contentio : nonne carnales estis , et secundum hominem ambulatis ?
ወእመሰ ትትቃንኡ ወትትጋአዙ አኮኑ ዘሥጋ ወደም አንትሙ ወከመ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ተሐውሩ ።
for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?
3:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅταν γὰρ λέγῃ τις , ἐγὼ μέν εἰμι Παύλου , ἕτερος δέ , ἐγὼ Ἀπολλῶ , οὐκ ἄνθρωποί ἐστε ;
Cum enim quis dicat : Ego quidem sum Pauli ; alius autem : Ego Apollo : nonne homines estis ? Quid igitur est Apollo ? quid vero Paulus ?
እስመ ቦ እምውስቴትክሙ ዘይብል አነ ዘጳውሎስ ወካልእ ይብል አነ ዘአጵሎስ ።
For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?
3:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ τί οὖν ἐστιν Ἀπολλῶς ; τί δέ ἐστιν Παῦλος ; διάκονοι δι’ ὧν ἐπιστεύσατε , καὶ ἑκάστῳ ὡς ὁ κύριος ἔδωκεν .
ministri ejus , cui credidistis , et unicuique sicut Dominus dedit .
ምንትኑ ጳውሎስ ወምንትኑ አጵሎስ አኮኑ ሰብእ ከማክሙ እሙንቱ ወበላዕሌሆሙ አመንክሙ ወለለ አሐዱ አሐዱ በከመ ወሀቦ እግዚአብሔር ።
Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed, and each as the Lord gave to him?
3:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐγὼ ἐφύτευσα , Ἀπολλὼς ἐπότισεν , ἀλλὰ ὁ θεὸς ηὔξανεν ·
Ego plantavi , Apollo rigavit : sed Deus incrementum dedit .
አነ ተከልኩ ወአጵሎስ ሰቀየ ወእግዚአብሔር አልሀቀ ።
I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.
3:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὥστε οὔτε ὁ φυτεύων ἐστίν τι οὔτε ὁ ποτίζων , ἀλλ’ ὁ αὐξάνων θεός .
Itaque neque qui plantat est aliquid , neque qui rigat : sed qui incrementum dat , Deus .
ወይእዜኒ ኢዘተከለ ወኢዘሰቀየ አልቦ ዘበቍዐ ዘእንበለ ዳእሙ እግዚአብሔር ዘአልሀቀ ።
So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
3:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ φυτεύων δὲ καὶ ὁ ποτίζων ἕν εἰσιν , ἕκαστος δὲ τὸν ἴδιον μισθὸν λήμψεται κατὰ τὸν ἴδιον κόπον .
Qui autem plantat , et qui rigat , unum sunt . Unusquisque autem propriam mercedem accipiet , secundum suum laborem .
ወዘሂ ተከለ ወዘሂ ሰቀየ አሐዱ እሙንቱ ወኵሎሙ ዐስቦሙ ይነሥኡ በአምጣነ ጻማሆሙ ።
Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
3:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ θεοῦ γάρ ἐσμεν συνεργοί · θεοῦ γεώργιον , θεοῦ οἰκοδομή ἐστε .
Dei enim sumus adjutores : Dei agricultura estis , Dei aedificatio estis .
እስመ ነኀብር በግብረ እግዚአብሔር ወላእካነ እግዚአብሔር ንሕነ ወአንትሙሰ ሕንጻ እግዚአብሔር አንትሙ ።
For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.
3:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ Κατὰ τὴν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ τὴν δοθεῖσάν μοι ὡς σοφὸς ἀρχιτέκτων θεμέλιον ἔθηκα , ἄλλος δὲ ἐποικοδομεῖ . ἕκαστος δὲ βλεπέτω πῶς ἐποικοδομεῖ ·
Secundum gratiam Dei , quae data est mihi , ut sapiens architectus fundamentum posui : alius autem superaedificat . Unusquisque autem videat quomodo superaedificet .
ወበከመ ጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ዘወሀበኒ አስተናደፍኩ መሠረተ ከመ ጠቢብ ሊቀ ጸረብት ወባሕቱ ካልእ ውእቱ ዘይሔድሳ ለሕንጸት ወኵሉ ለይትዐቀብ ዘከመ የሐንጽ ።
According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.
3:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ θεμέλιον γὰρ ἄλλον οὐδεὶς δύναται θεῖναι παρὰ τὸν κείμενον , ὅς ἐστιν Ἰησοῦς Χριστός .
Fundamentum enim aliud nemo potest ponere praeter id quod positum est , quod est Christus Jesus .
ወካልአሰ መሠረተ አልቦ ዘይክል ሣርሮ ዘእንበለ ዘተሣረረ ወመሠረቱሂ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ውእቱ ።
For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.
3:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰ δέ τις ἐποικοδομεῖ ἐπὶ τὸν θεμέλιον χρυσίον , ἀργύριον , λίθους τιμίους , ξύλα , χόρτον , καλάμην ,
Si quis autem superaedificat super fundamentum hoc , aurum , argentum , lapides pretiosos , ligna , foenum , stipulam ,
ወእመ ቦ ዘየሐንጽ ዲበ ዝንቱ መሠረት ወርቀ ወብሩረ ወእብነ ክቡረ ወዕፀ ወሣዕረ ወብርዐ ።
But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw,
3:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἑκάστου τὸ ἔργον φανερὸν γενήσεται , ἡ γὰρ ἡμέρα δηλώσει · ὅτι ἐν πυρὶ ἀποκαλύπτεται , καὶ ἑκάστου τὸ ἔργον ὁποῖόν ἐστιν τὸ πῦρ αὐτὸ δοκιμάσει .
uniuscujusque opus manifestum erit : dies enim Domini declarabit , quia in igne revelabitur : et uniuscujusque opus quale sit , ignis probabit .
ለለአሐዱ ይትከሠት ምግባሩ ወዕለቱ ያዐውቆ አመ ከሠቶ እሳት ወለለ አሐዱ እሳት ያሜክር ምግባሮ ።
each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is.
3:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἴ τινος τὸ ἔργον μενεῖ ὃ ἐποικοδόμησεν , μισθὸν λήμψεται ·
Si cujus opus manserit quod superaedificavit , mercedem accipiet .
ወዘሰ ጸንዐ ወቆመ ምግባሩ ውእቱኬ ዘይነሥእ ዕሴቶ ።
If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.
3:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἴ τινος τὸ ἔργον κατακαήσεται , ζημιωθήσεται , αὐτὸς δὲ σωθήσεται , οὕτως δὲ ὡς διὰ πυρός .
Si cujus opus arserit , detrimentum patietur : ipse autem salvus erit , sic tamen quasi per ignem .
ወዘሰ ውዕየ ምግባሩ የኀጕል ዐስቦ ወውእቱ የሐዩ ከመ ዘይድኅን እምእሳት ።
If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.
3:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ Οὐκ οἴδατε ὅτι ναὸς θεοῦ ἐστε καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ θεοῦ οἰκεῖ ἐν ὑμῖν ;
Nescitis quia templum Dei estis , et Spiritus Dei habitat in vobis ?
ኢተአምሩኑ ከመ ታቦቱ ለእግዚአብሔር አንትሙ ወመንፈሰ እግዚአብሔር ኅዱር ላዕሌክሙ ።
Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
3:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἴ τις τὸν ναὸν τοῦ θεοῦ φθείρει , φθερεῖ τοῦτον ὁ θεός · ὁ γὰρ ναὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ἅγιός ἐστιν , οἵτινές ἐστε ὑμεῖς .
Si quis autem templum Dei violaverit , disperdet illum Deus . Templum enim Dei sanctum est , quod estis vos .
ወዘሰ አማሰነ ቤተ እግዚአብሔር ሎቱኒ ያማስኖ እግዚአብሔር ወቤቱሰ ለእግዚአብሔር አንትሙ ውእቱ ወቅዱሳን አንትሙ ወኢታርኵሱ ቤቶ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.
3:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ Μηδεὶς ἑαυτὸν ἐξαπατάτω · εἴ τις δοκεῖ σοφὸς εἶναι ἐν ὑμῖν ἐν τῷ αἰῶνι τούτῳ , μωρὸς γενέσθω , ἵνα γένηται σοφός .
Nemo se seducat : si quis videtur inter vos sapiens esse in hoc saeculo , stultus fiat ut sit sapiens .
ወኢታስሕቱ ርእሰክሙ ወዘይኄሊ እምውስቴትክሙ ከመ ጠቢብ ውእቱ በዝ ዓለም አብደ ለይረሲ ርእሶ ከመ ይኩን ጠቢበ ።
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
3:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡ γὰρ σοφία τοῦ κόσμου τούτου μωρία παρὰ τῷ θεῷ ἐστιν · γέγραπται γάρ , ὁ δρασσόμενος τοὺς σοφοὺς ἐν τῇ πανουργίᾳ αὐτῶν ·
Sapientia enim hujus mundi , stultitia est apud Deum . Scriptum est enim : Comprehendam sapientes in astutia eorum .
እስመ እበድ ውእቱ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር ጥበቡ ለዝ ዓለም እስመ ከመዝ ይቤ መጽሐፍ «ዘይእኅዞሙ ለጠቢባን ትምይንቶሙ ።»
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”
3:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πάλιν , κύριος γινώσκει τοὺς διαλογισμοὺς τῶν σοφῶν ὅτι εἰσὶν μάταιοι .
Et iterum : Dominus novit cogitationes sapientium quoniam vanae sunt .
ወካዕበ ይቤ «የአምር እግዚአብሔር ኅሊናሆሙ ለጠቢባን ከመ ከንቱ ውእቱ ።»
And again, “The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.”
3:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὥστε μηδεὶς καυχάσθω ἐν ἀνθρώποις · πάντα γὰρ ὑμῶν ἐστιν ,
Nemo itaque glorietur in hominibus .
ወበእንተ ዝንቱ ኢይትመካሕ እንከ አሐዱሂ እምዕጓለ እመሕያው እስመ ኵሉ ዘዚኣክሙ ።
Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,
3:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἴτε Παῦλος εἴτε Ἀπολλῶς εἴτε Κηφᾶς εἴτε κόσμος εἴτε ζωὴ εἴτε θάνατος εἴτε ἐνεστῶτα εἴτε μέλλοντα , πάντα ὑμῶν ,
Omnia enim vestra sunt , sive Paulus , sive Apollo , sive Cephas , sive mundus , sive vita , sive mors , sive praesentia , sive futura : omnia enim vestra sunt :
እመኒ ጳውሎስ ወእመኒ አጵሎስ ወእመኒ ጴጥሮስ ወእመኒ ዓለም ወእመኒ ሕይወት ወእመኒ ሞት ወእመኒ ዘኮነ ወእመኒ ዘይከውን ኵሉ ዘዚኣክሙ ።
whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,
3:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὑμεῖς δὲ Χριστοῦ , Χριστὸς δὲ θεοῦ .
vos autem Christi : Christus autem Dei .
ወአንትሙሰ ዘክርስቶስ ወክርስቶስኒ ዘእግዚአብሔር ።
and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
