4:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה מֶ֖לֶךְ עַל ־כׇּל ־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἦν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμων βασιλεύων ἐπὶ Ισραηλ
Erat autem rex Salomon regnans super omnem Israël :
ወሰሎሞን ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ነግሠ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እስራኤል ።
King Solomon was king over all Israel.
4:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֥לֶּה הַשָּׂרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁר ־ל֑וֹ עֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ בֶן ־צָד֖וֹק הַכֹּהֵֽן ׃ {ס}
καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἄρχοντες οἳ ἦσαν αὐτοῦ Αζαριου υἱὸς Σαδωκ
et hi principes quos habebat : Azarias filius Sadoc sacerdotis :
ወእሉ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ መላእክቲሁ ፡ አዛርያስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሳዶቅ ፤
These were the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;
4:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֱלִיחֹ֧רֶף וַאֲחִיָּ֛ה בְּנֵ֥י שִׁישָׁ֖א סֹפְרִ֑ים {ס} יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן ־אֲחִיל֖וּד הַמַּזְכִּֽיר ׃ {ס}
καὶ Ελιαρεφ καὶ Αχια υἱὸς Σαβα γραμματεῖς καὶ Ιωσαφατ υἱὸς Αχιλιδ ὑπομιμνῄσκων
Elihoreph et Ahia filii Sisa scribae : Josaphat filius Ahilud a commentariis :
ወኤልያብ ፡ ወአኪያ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሱባ ፡ ጸሓፊ ፡ ወኢዮሳፍጥ ፡ ወልደ ፡ አኪያድ ፡ መዘክር ።

4:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ בֶן ־יְהוֹיָדָ֖ע עַל ־הַצָּבָ֑א {ס} וְצָד֥וֹק וְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר כֹּהֲנִֽים ׃ {ס}
καὶ Σαδουχ καὶ Αβιαθαρ ἱερεῖς
Banaias filius Jojadae super exercitum : Sadoc autem et Abiathar sacerdotes :
ወሰዶቅ ፡ ወአብያታር ፡ ካህናት ።
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
4:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַעֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ בֶן ־נָתָ֖ן עַל ־הַנִּצָּבִ֑ים {ס} וְזָב֧וּד בֶּן ־נָתָ֛ן כֹּהֵ֖ן רֵעֶ֥ה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ ׃ {ס}
καὶ Ορνια υἱὸς Ναθαν ἐπὶ τῶν καθεσταμένων καὶ Ζαβουθ υἱὸς Ναθαν ἑταῖρος τοῦ βασιλέως
Azarias filius Nathan super eos qui assistebant regi : Zabud filius Nathan sacerdos , amicus regis :
ወአርያ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ናታን ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሥዩማን ፡ ወዘባት ፡ ወልደ ፡ ናታን ፡ ዘእምታሕተ ፡ ንጉሥ ።
Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;
4:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲחִישָׁ֖ר עַל ־הַבָּ֑יִת {ס} וַאֲדֹנִירָ֥ם בֶּן ־עַבְדָּ֖א עַל ־הַמַּֽס ׃ {ס}
καὶ Αχιηλ οἰκονόμος καὶ Ελιαβ υἱὸς Σαφ ἐπὶ τῆς πατριᾶς καὶ Αδωνιραμ υἱὸς Εφρα ἐπὶ τῶν φόρων
et Ahisar praepositus domus : et Adoniram filius Abda super tributa .
ወአኪየል ፡ መጋቢ ፡ ወኤልያፍ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሰፋን ፡ ላዕለ ፡ በሓውርት ፤ አዶኒረም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኤድራ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ጾር ።
Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.
4:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֞ה שְׁנֵים ־עָשָׂ֤ר נִצָּבִים֙ עַל ־כׇּל ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְכִלְכְּל֥וּ אֶת ־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וְאֶת ־בֵּית֑וֹ חֹ֧דֶשׁ בַּשָּׁנָ֛ה יִהְיֶ֥ה עַל ־[הָאֶחָ֖ד ] (אחד ) לְכַלְכֵּֽל ׃ {ס}
καὶ τῷ Σαλωμων δώδεκα καθεσταμένοι ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ χορηγεῖν τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ μῆνα ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ ἐγίνετο ἐπὶ τὸν ἕνα χορηγεῖν
Habebat autem Salomon duodecim praefectos super omnem Israël , qui praebebant annonam regi et domui ejus : per singulos enim menses in anno , singuli necessaria ministrabant .
ወሤመ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ፲ወ፪ላዕለ ፡ እሰራኤል ፡ እለ ፡ ይትሜጠዉ ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ወለቤቱ ፤ ለለ፩ወርኅ ፡ ለለ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ያዌፍዩ ፡ ምዕረ ።
Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.
4:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֣לֶּה שְׁמוֹתָ֔ם בֶּן ־ח֖וּר בְּהַ֥ר אֶפְרָֽיִם ׃ {ס}
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν Βενωρ ἐν ὄρει Εφραιμ εἷς
Et haec nomina eorum : Benhur in monte Ephraim .
ወዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ቤዖር ፡ በደብረ ፡ ኤፍሬም ።
These are their names: Ben Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
4:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ בֶּן ־דֶּ֛קֶר בְּמָקַ֥ץ וּבְשַׁעַלְבִ֖ים וּבֵ֣ית שָׁ֑מֶשׁ וְאֵיל֖וֹן בֵּ֥ית חָנָֽן ׃ {ס}
υἱὸς Ρηχαβ ἐν Μαχεμας καὶ Βηθαλαμιν καὶ Βαιθσαμυς καὶ Αιλων ἕως Βαιθαναν εἷς
Bendecar in Macces , et in Salebim , et in Bethsames , et in Elon , et in Bethanan .
ወልደ ፡ ራኬብ ፡ ፩በማኪማስ ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ላሚ ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ሰሚስ ፡ ወኤሎም ፡ እስከ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ላማኒስ ።

4:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ בֶּן ־חֶ֖סֶד בָּאֲרֻבּ֑וֹת ל֥וֹ שֹׂכֹ֖ה וְכׇל ־אֶ֥רֶץ חֵֽפֶר ׃ {ס}
υἱὸς Εσωθ Βηρβηθνεμα Λουσαμηνχα καὶ Ρησφαρα
Benhesed in Aruboth : ipsius erat Socho , et omnis terra Epher .
ወልዶ ፡ ኤሳት ፡ በቤርኔማሉ ፡ ወሴሜንኮቄሬስ ፡ ወፈራኪሐናዳን ።
Ben Hesed, in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);
4:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ בֶּן ־אֲבִינָדָ֖ב כׇּל ־נָ֣פַת דֹּ֑אר טָפַת֙ בַּת ־שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה הָ֥יְתָה לּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה ׃ {ס}
Χιναναδαβ καὶ Αναφαθι ἀνὴρ Ταβληθ θυγάτηρ Σαλωμων ἦν αὐτῷ εἰς γυναῖκα εἷς
Benabinadab , cujus omnis Nephath Dor : Tapheth filiam Salomonis habebat uxorem .
ወሓናጡፊንጢ ፡ ብእሲ ፤ ጠብሌት ፡ ወለተ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ብእሲቱ ።
Ben Abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath, Solomon’s daughter, as wife);
4:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּֽעֲנָא֙ בֶּן ־אֲחִיל֔וּד תַּעְנַ֖ךְ וּמְגִדּ֑וֹ וְכׇל ־בֵּ֣ית שְׁאָ֡ן אֲשֶׁר֩ אֵ֨צֶל צָרְתַ֜נָה מִתַּ֣חַת לְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל מִבֵּ֤ית שְׁאָן֙ עַ֚ד אָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה עַ֖ד מֵעֵ֥בֶר לְיׇקְמְעָֽם ׃ {ס}
Βακχα υἱὸς Αχιλιδ Θααναχ καὶ Μεκεδω καὶ πᾶς ὁ οἶκος Σαν ὁ παρὰ Σεσαθαν ὑποκάτω τοῦ Εσραε καὶ ἐκ Βαισαφουδ Εβελμαωλα ἕως Μαεβερ Λουκαμ εἷς
Bana filius Ahilud regebat Thanac et Mageddo , et universam Bethsan , quae est juxta Sarthana subter Jezrahel , a Bethsan usque Abelmehula e regione Jecmaan .
በቀክ ፡ ወልደ ፡ አኪማከ ፡ በጰላማሕ ፡ ወሜቄዶ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሳሐን ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ ኤሳታን ፡ ዘመትሕተ ፡ ኤስድራኤ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ቤሳፉዱ ፡ ወኤቤልሜሑላ ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእቤር ፡ ዘሉቃሜስ ።
Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth Shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;
4:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ בֶּן ־גֶּ֖בֶר בְּרָמֹ֣ת גִּלְעָ֑ד ל֡וֹ חַוֺּת֩ יָאִ֨יר בֶּן ־מְנַשֶּׁ֜ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּגִּלְעָ֗ד ל֚וֹ חֶ֤בֶל אַרְגֹּב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּבָּשָׁ֔ן שִׁשִּׁים֙ עָרִ֣ים גְּדֹל֔וֹת חוֹמָ֖ה וּבְרִ֥יחַ נְחֹֽשֶׁת ׃ {ס}
υἱὸς Γαβερ ἐν Ρεμαθ Γαλααδ τούτῳ σχοίνισμα Ερεγαβα ἣ ἐν τῇ Βασαν ἑξήκοντα πόλεις μεγάλαι τειχήρεις καὶ μοχλοὶ χαλκοῖ εἷς
Bengaber in Ramoth Galaad : habebat Avothjair filii Manasse in Galaad : ipse praeerat in omni regione Argob , quae est in Basan , sexaginta civitatibus magnis atque muratis quae habebant seras aereas .
ወልደ ፡ ጋቤሃ ፡ በሬማት ፡ ገለአድ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወሰኖሙ ፡ ኤሬጠቦሔ ፡ በበሳን ፡ ፷አህጉር ፡ ዐበይት ፡ እለ ፡ ቦን ፡ ቅጽረ ፡ ወመናስግቲሆን ፡ ዘብርት ።
Ben Geber, in Ramoth Gilead (the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, belonged to him; and the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars, belonged to him);
4:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲחִינָדָ֥ב בֶּן ־עִדֹּ֖א מַחֲנָֽיְמָה ׃ {ס}
Αχιναδαβ υἱὸς Αχελ Μααναιν εἷς
Ahinadab filius Addo praeerat in Manaim .
ወኦኪናሖም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኣኬልማሐን ፡ ዘኤኒ ፡ ኣኒስ ።
Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
4:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲחִימַ֖עַץ בְּנַפְתָּלִ֑י גַּם ־ה֗וּא לָקַ֛ח אֶת ־בָּשְׂמַ֥ת בַּת ־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְאִשָּֽׁה ׃ {ס}
Αχιμαας ἐν Νεφθαλι καὶ οὗτος ἔλαβεν τὴν Βασεμμαθ θυγατέρα Σαλωμων εἰς γυναῖκα εἷς
Achimaas in Nephthali : sed et ipse habebat Basemath filiam Salomonis in conjugio .
ወአኬልማሴን ፡ ዘንፍታሌም ፡ ወውእቱኒ ፡ አውሰባ ፡ ለማሤማት ፡ ወለተ ፡ ሰሎሞን ።
Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife);
4:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּֽעֲנָא֙ בֶּן ־חוּשָׁ֔י בְּאָשֵׁ֖ר וּבְעָלֽוֹת ׃ {ס}
Βαανα υἱὸς Χουσι ἐν τῇ Μααλαθ εἷς
Baana filius Husi in Aser , et in Baloth .
በሀማ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኵሲ ፡ ዘእምነ ፡ ሬግቦሔል ፡ እስከ ፡ አሔል ፡ በምድረ ፡ መሐለይሶ ።
Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;
4:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן ־פָּר֖וּחַ בְּיִשָּׂשכָֽר ׃ {ס}
Σαμαα υἱὸς Ηλα ἐν τῷ Βενιαμιν
Josaphat filius Pharue in Issachar .
ወልደ ፡ ኤላ ፡ በብንያም ፡ ፩ ።
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
4:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ שִׁמְעִ֥י בֶן ־אֵלָ֖א בְּבִנְיָמִֽן ׃ {ס}
Γαβερ υἱὸς Αδαι ἐν τῇ γῇ Γαδ γῇ Σηων βασιλέως τοῦ Εσεβων καὶ Ωγ βασιλέως τοῦ Βασαν καὶ νασιφ εἷς ἐν γῇ Ιουδα
Semei filius Ela in Benjamin .
ወልደ ፡ ኣዴ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወበምድረ ፡ ሴዎን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ሐሴቦን ፡ ወአግ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባሳን ፡ ወናሴፍ ፡ ፩በምድረ ፡ ይሁዳ ።
Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
4:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ גֶּ֥בֶר בֶּן ־אֻרִ֖י בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גִּלְעָ֑ד אֶ֜רֶץ סִיח֣וֹן ׀ מֶ֣לֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִ֗י וְעֹג֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ הַבָּשָׁ֔ן וּנְצִ֥יב אֶחָ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּאָֽרֶץ ׃
Ιωσαφατ υἱὸς Φουασουδ ἐν Ισσαχαρ
Gaber filius Uri in terra Galaad , in terra Sehon regis Amorrhaei et Og regis Basan , super omnia quae erant in illa terra .
ወዮሳፍጥ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ፋሐሱድ ፡ በይሳኮር ።
Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land.
4:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהוּדָ֤ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ רַבִּ֔ים כַּח֥וֹל אֲשֶׁר ־עַל ־הַיָּ֖ם לָרֹ֑ב אֹכְלִ֥ים וְשֹׁתִ֖ים וּשְׂמֵחִֽים ׃
— Juda et Israël innumerabiles , sicut arena maris in multitudine : comedentes , et bibentes , atque laetantes .
ወእሉ ፡ ያገብኡ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ በኣምጣነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘአዘዞሙ ፡ ዘይሠርዑ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማእደ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ፩፩በበወርኁ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘያሐጽጹ ፡ ወኢበምንትኒ ።
Judah and Israel were numerous as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
4:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Salomon autem erat in ditione sua , habens omnia regna a flumine terrae Philisthiim usque ad terminum Aegypti : offerentium sibi munera , et servientium ei cunctis diebus vitae ejus .
ወሰገመኒ ፡ ወኀሠረ ፡ ለአፍራስ ፡ ወይጸውሩ ፡ ሰረገላቲሁ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሀለወ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ በበ ፡ ሥርዐቶሙ ።
Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
4:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Erat autem cibus Salomonis per dies singulos triginta cori similae , et sexaginta cori farinae ,
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘይትገበር ፡ ለሰሎሞን ፡ በበ ፡ ዕለቱ ፡ ፴በመስፈርተ ፡ ቆሮስ ፡ ስንዳሌ ፡ ወ ፡ ፰በመስፈርተ ፡ ቆሮስ ፡ ሐሪፅ ፡ ልቱም ።
Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty cors of fine flour, sixty measures of meal,
4:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — decem boves pingues , et viginti boves pascuales , et centum arietes , excepta venatione cervorum , caprearum , atque bubalorum , et avium altilium .
ወ ፲አልህምት ፡ መጋዝእ ፡ ወ ፳አልህምተ ፡ አስዋር ፡ ወ፻አባግዕ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ሀየል ፡ ወወይጠል ፡ ወመጋዝአ ፡ ደዋርህ ።
ten head of fat cattle, twenty head of cattle out of the pastures, and one hundred sheep, in addition to deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.
4:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Ipse enim obtinebat omnem regionem quae erat trans flumen , a Thaphsa usque ad Gazan , et cunctos reges illarum regionum : et habebat pacem ex omni parte in circuitu .
እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ መኰንን ፡ ላዕለ ፡ መላእክት ፡ እለ ፡ ማዕዶት ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ በውዱ ፡ ስንእ ፡ ምስሌሁ ።
For he had dominion over all on this side of the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace on all sides around him.
4:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Habitabatque Juda et Israël absque timore ullo , unusquisque sub vite sua et sub ficu sua , a Dan usque Bersabee , cunctis diebus Salomonis .
ወወህቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ለሰሎሞን ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ ወሰፍሐ ፡ ልቡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኆፃ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሐይቀ ፡ ባሕር ።
Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
4:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Et habebat Salomon quadraginta millia praesepia equorum currilium , et duodecim millia equestrium .
በዝኀ ፡ ጥበቡ ፡ ለሰሎሞን ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ እምነ ፡ ጥበቦሙ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ቀደምት ፡ ወአምኵሉ ፡ ጥበቦሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ።
Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
4:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Nutriebantque eos supradicti regis praefecti : sed et necessaria mensae regis Salomonis cum ingenti cura praebebant in tempore suo .
ወጠበ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወጠበ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤታን ፡ ዘርያዊ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ኤናን ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ኮልቀድ ፡ ወደራል ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሰማድ ።
Those officers provided food for King Solomon, and for all who came to King Solomon’s table, every man in his month. They let nothing be lacking.
4:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Hordeum quoque , et paleas equorum et jumentorum , deferebant in locum ubi erat rex , juxta constitutum sibi .
ወነበበ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ፴፻አምሳለ ፡ ወ፭፻ማሕሌቱ ።
They also brought barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where the officers were, each man according to his duty.
4:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Dedit quoque Deus sapientiam Salomoni , et prudentiam multam nimis , et latitudinem cordis quasi arenam quae est in littore maris .
ወነበበ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዕፀው ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዕፀወ ፡ አርዝ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ሊባኖስ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ሐምለ ፡ ህስጱ ፡ ዘይወፅአ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አረፍት ፡ ወነበበ ፡ በእንተ ፡ አንስሳሂ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ አዕዋፍሂ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዓሣት ።
God gave Solomon abundant wisdom, understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand that is on the seashore.
4:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Et praecedebat sapientia Salomonis sapientiam omnium Orientalium et Aegyptiorum ,
ወይመጽአ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ይስምዑ ፡ ጥበቦ ፡ ለሰሎሞን ፡ ወይነሥእ ፡ አምኃ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ሰምዑ ፡ ጥበቦ ። 31 ወነሥአ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ወለተ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ብእሲቶ ፡ ወአእተዋ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገረ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ እስከ ፡ የኀልቅ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ወአረፍተ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ። 32 ወይእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ዐርገ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወአስተጋብኣ ፡ ለጋዜር ፡ ወአውዐያ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ወከናአንሂ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሜርገብ ፡ ተቀትሉ ። 33 ወወሀባ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለወለቱ ፡ ለብእሲተ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ኪያሆን ፡ አህጉረ ፡ ወነደቃ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ለጋዜር ።
Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
4:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — et erat sapientior cunctis hominibus : sapientior Ethan Ezrahita , et Heman , et Chalcol , et Dorda filiis Mahol : et erat nominatus in universis gentibus per circuitum .
— For he was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations all around.
4:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Locutus est quoque Salomon tria millia parabolas : et fuerunt carmina ejus quinque et mille .
— He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered one thousand five.
4:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Et disputavit super lignis a cedro quae est in Libano , usque ad hyssopum quae egreditur de pariete : et disseruit de jumentis , et volucribus , et reptilibus , et piscibus .
— He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows out of the wall; he also spoke of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.
4:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — Et veniebant de cunctis populis ad audiendam sapientiam Salomonis , et ab universis regibus terrae qui audiebant sapientiam ejus .
— People of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, sent by all kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
