5:1
וּשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה הָיָ֤ה מוֹשֵׁל֙ בְּכׇל־הַמַּמְלָכ֔וֹת מִן־הַנָּהָר֙ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְעַ֖ד גְּב֣וּל מִצְרָ֑יִם מַגִּשִׁ֥ים מִנְחָ֛ה וְעֹבְדִ֥ים אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה כׇּל־יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐχορήγουν οἱ καθεσταμένοι οὕτως τῷ βασιλεῖ Σαλωμων καὶ πάντα τὰ διαγγέλματα ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν τοῦ βασιλέως ἕκαστος μῆνα αὐτοῦ οὐ παραλλάσσουσιν λόγον καὶ τὰς κριθὰς καὶ τὸ ἄχυρον τοῖς ἵπποις καὶ τοῖς ἅρμασιν ᾖρον εἰς τὸν τόπον οὗ ἂν ᾖ ὁ βασιλεύς ἕκαστος κατὰ τὴν σύνταξιν αὐτοῦ
Misit quoque Hiram rex Tyri servos suos ad Salomonem : audivit enim quod ipsum unxissent regem pro patre ejus : quia amicus fuerat Hiram David omni tempore.
ወፈነዎሙ፡ ኪረም፡ ለደቁ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ጢሮስ፡ ኀበ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ይቅብእዎ፡ ህየንተ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡሁ፡ እስመ፡ ያፈቅሮ፡ ኪረም፡ ለዳዊት፡ በኵሉ፡ መዋዕሊሁ።
Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the place of his father, and Hiram had always loved David.
5:2
וַיְהִ֥י לֶֽחֶם־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְי֣וֹם אֶחָ֑ד שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים כֹּר֙ סֹ֔לֶת וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים כֹּ֖ר קָֽמַח׃
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ δέοντα τῷ Σαλωμων ἐν ἡμέρᾳ μιᾷ τριάκοντα κόροι σεμιδάλεως καὶ ἑξήκοντα κόροι ἀλεύρου κεκοπανισμένου
Misit autem Salomon ad Hiram, dicens :
ወለአከ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ኀበ፡ ኪረም፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል ፤
Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
5:3
עֲשָׂרָ֨ה בָקָ֜ר בְּרִאִ֗ים וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים בָּקָ֛ר רְעִ֖י וּמֵ֣אָה צֹ֑אן לְ֠בַ֠ד מֵאַיָּ֤ל וּצְבִי֙ וְיַחְמ֔וּר וּבַרְבֻּרִ֖ים אֲבוּסִֽים׃
καὶ δέκα μόσχοι ἐκλεκτοὶ καὶ εἴκοσι βόες νομάδες καὶ ἑκατὸν πρόβατα ἐκτὸς ἐλάφων καὶ δορκάδων καὶ ὀρνίθων ἐκλεκτῶν σιτευτά
Tu scis voluntatem David patris mei, et quia non potuerit aedificare domum nomini Domini Dei sui propter bella imminentia per circuitum, donec daret Dominus eos sub vestigio pedum ejus.
ታአምሮአ፡ ለሊከአ፡ ለዳዊትአ፡ አቡየአ፡ ከመ፡ ተስእኖ፡ ነዲቀ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኪየ፡ በእንተ፡ አጽባእ፡ ዘዐውዱ፡ እስከ፡ አመ፡ አግብኦሙ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ታሕተ፡ እገሪሁ።
“You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of Yahweh his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until Yahweh put his enemies under the soles of his feet.
5:4
כִּי־ה֞וּא רֹדֶ֣ה׀ בְּכׇל־עֵ֣בֶר הַנָּהָ֗ר מִתִּפְסַח֙ וְעַד־עַזָּ֔ה בְּכׇל־מַלְכֵ֖י עֵ֣בֶר הַנָּהָ֑ר וְשָׁל֗וֹם הָ֥יָה ל֛וֹ מִכׇּל־עֲבָרָ֖יו מִסָּבִֽיב׃
ὅτι ἦν ἄρχων πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ἦν αὐτῷ εἰρήνη ἐκ πάντων τῶν μερῶν κυκλόθεν
Nunc autem requiem dedit Dominus Deus meus mihi per circuitum, et non est satan, neque occursus malus.
ወይእዜሰ፡ አዕረፈኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ሊተ፡ እምነ፡ እለ፡ ዐውድየ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይስሕጥ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይመጽእ፡ ለእኪት።
But now Yahweh my God has given me rest on every side. There is no enemy and no evil occurrence.
5:5
וַיֵּ֩שֶׁב֩ יְהוּדָ֨ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל לָבֶ֗טַח אִ֣ישׁ תַּ֤חַת גַּפְנוֹ֙ וְתַ֣חַת תְּאֵנָת֔וֹ מִדָּ֖ן וְעַד־בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ {ס}
—
Quam ob rem cogito aedificare templum nomini Domini Dei mei, sicut locutus est Dominus David patri meo, dicens : Filius tuus, quem dabo pro te super solium tuum, ipse aedificabit domum nomini meo.
ወናሁ፡ አነ፡ እብል፡ ከመ፡ አሐንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኪየ፡ በከመ፡ ይቤሎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለዳዊት፡ አቡየ፡ ወልድከ፡ ዘእሁበከ፡ ላዕለ፡ መንበርከ፡ ህየንቴከ፡ ውእቱኬ፡ የሐንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስምየ።
Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, as Yahweh spoke to David my father, saying, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house for my name.’
5:6
וַיְהִ֣י לִשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶף אֻֽרְוֺ֥ת סוּסִ֖ים לְמֶרְכָּב֑וֹ וּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף פָּרָשִֽׁים׃
—
Praecipe igitur ut praecidant mihi servi tui cedros de Libano, et servi mei sint cum servis tuis : mercedem autem servorum tuorum dabo tibi quamcumque petieris : scis enim quomodo non est in populo meo vir qui noverit ligna caedere sicut Sidonii.
ወይእዜኒ፡ አዝዝ፡ ወይግዝሙ፡ ሊተ፡ ዕፀወ፡ እምነ፡ ደብረ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ወናሁ፡ አግብርትየኒ፡ ምስለ፡ አግብርቲከ፡ ወዐስበ፡ ዘተቀነደከኒ፡ እሁበከ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ዘትቤ፡ እስመ፡ ለሊከ፡ ታአምር፡ ከመ፡ አልብነአ፡ ዘያአምርአ፡ ገዚመአ፡ ዕፀውአ፡ ከመ፡ ሰብአ፡ ሲዶናአ።
Now therefore command that cedar trees be cut for me out of Lebanon. My servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say. For you know that there is nobody among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”
5:7
וְכִלְכְּלוּ֩ הַנִּצָּבִ֨ים הָאֵ֜לֶּה אֶת־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה וְאֵ֧ת כׇּל־הַקָּרֵ֛ב אֶל־שֻׁלְחַ֥ן הַמֶּלֶךְ־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ חׇדְשׁ֑וֹ לֹ֥א יְעַדְּר֖וּ דָּבָֽר׃
—
Cum ergo audisset Hiram verba Salomonis, laetatus est valde, et ait : Benedictus Dominus Deus hodie, qui dedit David filium sapientissimum super populum hunc plurimum.
ወእምዝ፡ ሶበ፡ ሰምዐ፡ ኪራም፡ ቃለ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ተፈሥሐ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ ወደቤ፡ ይተባረክ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዮም፡ ዘወሀበ፡ ለዳዊት፡ ወልደ፡ ጠቢበ፡ ላዕለ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ብዙኅ።
When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, “Blessed is Yahweh today, who has given to David a wise son to rule over this great people.”
5:8
וְהַשְּׂעֹרִ֣ים וְהַתֶּ֔בֶן לַסּוּסִ֖ים וְלָרָ֑כֶשׁ יָבִ֗אוּ אֶל־הַמָּקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִֽהְיֶה־שָּׁ֔ם אִ֖ישׁ כְּמִשְׁפָּטֽוֹ׃ {ס}
—
Et misit Hiram ad Salomonem, dicens : Audivi quaecumque mandasti mihi : ego faciam omnem voluntatem tuam in lignis cedrinis et abiegnis.
ወለአከ፡ ኀበ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል፡ ሰማዕኩአ፡ ኵሎአ፡ ዘለአከአ፡ ኀቤየ ፤ አነ፡ አገብር፡ ኵሎ፡ መፍቅደከ።
Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, “I have heard the message which you have sent to me. I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning cypress timber.
5:9
וַיִּתֵּן֩ אֱלֹהִ֨ים חׇכְמָ֧ה לִשְׁלֹמֹ֛ה וּתְבוּנָ֖ה הַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וְרֹ֣חַב לֵ֔ב כַּח֕וֹל אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיָּֽם׃
καὶ ἔδωκεν κύριος φρόνησιν τῷ Σαλωμων καὶ σοφίαν πολλὴν σφόδρα καὶ χύμα καρδίας ὡς ἡ ἄμμος ἡ παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν
Servi mei deponent ea de Libano ad mare, et ego componam ea in ratibus in mari usque ad locum quem significaveris mihi : et applicabo ea ibi, et tu tolles ea : praebebisque necessaria mihi, ut detur cibus domui meae.
ዕፀውአ፡ ዘቄድሮን፡ ወዘጰውቂና፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ያወርዱ፡ እምነ፡ ደብረ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ውስተ፡ ባሕር፡ ወአነ፡ እንብር፡ አርማሰ፡ እስከ፡ ፈለግ፡ እምኀበ፡ ትትሜጠወኒ፡ ወኣነብሮ፡ ለከ፡ ህየ፡ ወንሣእ፡ አንተ፡ ወግበር፡ ፈቃደከ፡ ወትሁብአ፡ ሲሳየአ፡ ለቤትየአ።
My servants will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea. I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you specify to me, and will cause them to be broken up there, and you will receive them. You will accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.”
5:10
וַתֵּ֙רֶב֙ חׇכְמַ֣ת שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה מֵחׇכְמַ֖ת כׇּל־בְּנֵי־קֶ֑דֶם וּמִכֹּ֖ל חׇכְמַ֥ת מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐπληθύνθη Σαλωμων σφόδρα ὑπὲρ τὴν φρόνησιν πάντων ἀρχαίων ἀνθρώπων καὶ ὑπὲρ πάντας φρονίμους Αἰγύπτου
Itaque Hiram dabat Salomoni ligna cedrina, et ligna abiegna, juxta omnem voluntatem ejus.
ወወሀቦ፡ ኪራም፡ ለሰሎሞን፡ ዕፀወ፡ ቄድሮና፡ ወኵሎ፡ በፈቀደ።
So Hiram gave Solomon cedar timber and cypress timber according to all his desire.
5:11
וַיֶּחְכַּם֮ מִכׇּל־הָאָדָם֒ מֵאֵיתָ֣ן הָאֶזְרָחִ֗י וְהֵימָ֧ן וְכַלְכֹּ֛ל וְדַרְדַּ֖ע בְּנֵ֣י מָח֑וֹל וַיְהִֽי־שְׁמ֥וֹ בְכׇֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם סָבִֽיב׃
καὶ ἐσοφίσατο ὑπὲρ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἐσοφίσατο ὑπὲρ Γαιθαν τὸν Εζραΐτην καὶ τὸν Αιμαν καὶ τὸν Χαλκαλ καὶ Δαρδα υἱοὺς Μαλ
Salomon autem praebebat Hiram coros tritici viginti millia in cibum domui ejus, et viginti coros purissimi olei : haec tribuebat Salomon Hiram per singulos annos.
ወሰሎሞን፡ ወሀቦ፡ ለኪረም፡ ፪፼በመስፈርተ፡ ቆሮስ፡ ሥርናየ፡ ወመዓክጦ፡ ለቤቱ፡ ፪፼ወ፪፼በመስፈርተ፡ ቤት፡ ቅብአ፡ ቅድወ፡ ወከመዝ፡ ወሀቦ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ለኪራም፡ በበ፡ ዓመት።
Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat for food to his household, and twenty cors of pure oil. Solomon gave this to Hiram year by year.
5:12
וַיְדַבֵּ֕ר שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֖ים מָשָׁ֑ל וַיְהִ֥י שִׁיר֖וֹ חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה וָאָֽלֶף׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν Σαλωμων τρισχιλίας παραβολάς καὶ ἦσαν ᾠδαὶ αὐτοῦ πεντακισχίλιαι
Dedit quoque Dominus sapientiam Salomoni, sicut locutus est ei : et erat pax inter Hiram et Salomonem, et percusserunt ambo foedus.
ወወሀቦ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጥበበ፡ ለሰሎሞን፡ በከመ፡ ይቤሎ፡ ወሰላም፡ ማእከለ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወማእከለ፡ ኪረም፡ ወተማሐሉ፡ ወጉበሩ፡ ኪዳነ፡ ማእከሎሙ።
Yahweh gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together.
5:13
וַיְדַבֵּר֮ עַל־הָעֵצִים֒ מִן־הָאֶ֙רֶז֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּלְּבָנ֔וֹן וְעַד֙ הָאֵז֔וֹב אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֹצֵ֖א בַּקִּ֑יר וַיְדַבֵּר֙ עַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה וְעַל־הָע֔וֹף וְעַל־הָרֶ֖מֶשׂ וְעַל־הַדָּגִֽים׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν περὶ τῶν ξύλων ἀπὸ τῆς κέδρου τῆς ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ καὶ ἕως τῆς ὑσσώπου τῆς ἐκπορευομένης διὰ τοῦ τοίχου καὶ ἐλάλησεν περὶ τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ περὶ τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ περὶ τῶν ἑρπετῶν καὶ περὶ τῶν ἰχθύων
Elegitque rex Salomon operarios de omni Israël, et erat indictio triginta millia virorum.
ወፈነወ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ጸዋሬ፡ እምነ፡ ኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወኮኑ፡ ጸዋርያን፡ ፫፼ዕደው።
King Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
5:14
וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ מִכׇּל־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים לִשְׁמֹ֕עַ אֵ֖ת חׇכְמַ֣ת שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה מֵאֵת֙ כׇּל־מַלְכֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמְע֖וּ אֶת־חׇכְמָתֽוֹ׃ {ס}
καὶ παρεγίνοντο πάντες οἱ λαοὶ ἀκοῦσαι τῆς σοφίας Σαλωμων καὶ ἐλάμβανεν δῶρα παρὰ πάντων τῶν βασιλέων τῆς γῆς ὅσοι ἤκουον τῆς σοφίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν Σαλωμων τὴν θυγατέρα Φαραω ἑαυτῷ εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὴν πόλιν Δαυιδ ἕως συντελέσαι αὐτὸν τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον ἑαυτοῦ καὶ τὸ τεῖχος Ιερουσαλημ τότε ἀνέβη Φαραω βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ προκατελάβετο τὴν Γαζερ καὶ ἐνεπύρισεν αὐτὴν καὶ τὸν Χανανίτην τὸν κατοικοῦντα ἐν Μεργαβ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὰς Φαραω ἀποστολὰς θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ γυναικὶ Σαλωμων καὶ Σαλωμων ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Γαζερ
Mittebatque eos in Libanum, decem millia per menses singulos vicissim, ita ut duobus mensibus essent in domibus suis : et Adoniram erat super hujuscemodi indictione.
ወይፌኑ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ፼ውሰተ፡ ደብረ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ፩ወርኀ፡ ወያስተባርዮሙ፡ ከመዝ ፤ ፩ወርኀ፡ ይሄልዉ፡ ውስተ፡ ደብረ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ወ፪ወርኀ፡ ይሄልዉ፡ ውስተ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ፤ ወአዶኒረም፡ መልአከ፡ ጾር።
He sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: for a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home; and Adoniram was over the men subject to forced labor.
5:15
וַ֠יִּשְׁלַ֠ח חִירָ֨ם מֶלֶךְ־צ֤וֹר אֶת־עֲבָדָיו֙ אֶל־שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה כִּ֣י שָׁמַ֔ע כִּ֥י אֹת֛וֹ מָשְׁח֥וּ לְמֶ֖לֶךְ תַּ֣חַת אָבִ֑יהוּ כִּ֣י אֹהֵ֗ב הָיָ֥ה חִירָ֛ם לְדָוִ֖ד כׇּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Χιραμ βασιλεὺς Τύρου τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ χρῖσαι τὸν Σαλωμων ἀντὶ Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἀγαπῶν ἦν Χιραμ τὸν Δαυιδ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας
Fueruntque Salomoni septuaginta millia eorum qui onera portabant, et octoginta millia latomorum in monte,
ወቦ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ፯፼ጸዋረ፡ አርሶን፡ ወ፰፼ወቀርተ፡ እለ፡ ውስተ፡ ደብር ፤
Solomon had seventy thousand who bore burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains,
5:16
וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה אֶל־חִירָ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Σαλωμων πρὸς Χιραμ λέγων
absque praepositis qui praeerant singulis operibus, numero trium millium et trecentorum, praecipientium populo et his qui faciebant opus.
ዘእንበለ፡ ሥዩማን፡ መላእክት፡ ላዕለ፡ ግብረ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ፴፻ወ፮፻፡ ሊቃነ፡ ገባር።
besides Solomon’s chief officers who were over the work: three thousand three hundred who ruled over the people who labored in the work.
5:17
אַתָּ֨ה יָדַ֜עְתָּ אֶת־דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֗י כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָכֹל֙ לִבְנ֣וֹת בַּ֗יִת לְשֵׁם֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֔יו מִפְּנֵ֥י הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר סְבָבֻ֑הוּ עַ֤ד תֵּת־יְהֹוָה֙ אֹתָ֔ם תַּ֖חַת כַּפּ֥וֹת (רגלו) [רַגְלָֽי]׃
σὺ οἶδας Δαυιδ τὸν πατέρα μου ὅτι οὐκ ἐδύνατο οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ μου ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν πολέμων τῶν κυκλωσάντων αὐτὸν ἕως τοῦ δοῦναι κύριον αὐτοὺς ὑπὸ τὰ ἴχνη τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ
Praecepitque rex ut tollerent lapides grandes, lapides pretiosos in fundamentum templi, et quadrarent eos :
ወአስተዳለዉ፡ ዕፀወ፡ ወእብነ፡ ፫ዓመተ።
The king commanded, and they cut out large stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with worked stone.
5:18
וְעַתָּ֕ה הֵנִ֨יחַ יְהֹוָ֧ה אֱלֹהַ֛י לִ֖י מִסָּבִ֑יב אֵ֣ין שָׂטָ֔ן וְאֵ֖ין פֶּ֥גַע רָֽע׃
καὶ νῦν ἀνέπαυσε κύριος ὁ θεός μου ἐμοὶ κυκλόθεν οὐκ ἔστιν ἐπίβουλος καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀπάντημα πονηρόν
quos dolaverunt caementarii Salomonis et caementarii Hiram : porro Giblii praeparaverunt ligna et lapides ad aedificandam domum.
—
Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders and the Gebalites cut them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.
5:19
וְהִנְנִ֣י אֹמֵ֔ר לִבְנ֣וֹת בַּ֔יִת לְשֵׁ֖ם יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑י כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה אֶל־דָּוִ֤ד אָבִי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בִּנְךָ֗ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֶתֵּ֤ן תַּחְתֶּ֙יךָ֙ עַל־כִּסְאֶ֔ךָ הוּא־יִבְנֶ֥ה הַבַּ֖יִת לִשְׁמִֽי׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ λέγω οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ μου καθὼς ἐλάλησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Δαυιδ τὸν πατέρα μου λέγων ὁ υἱός σου ὃν δώσω ἀντὶ σοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον σου οὗτος οἰκοδομήσει τὸν οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου

וְעַתָּ֡ה צַוֵּה֩ וְיִכְרְתוּ־לִ֨י אֲרָזִ֜ים מִן־הַלְּבָנ֗וֹן וַעֲבָדַי֙ יִהְי֣וּ עִם־עֲבָדֶ֔יךָ וּשְׂכַ֤ר עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ אֶתֵּ֣ן לְךָ֔ כְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאמֵ֑ר כִּ֣י׀ אַתָּ֣ה יָדַ֗עְתָּ כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין בָּ֛נוּ אִ֛ישׁ יֹדֵ֥עַ לִכְרׇת־עֵצִ֖ים כַּצִּדֹנִֽים׃
καὶ νῦν ἔντειλαι καὶ κοψάτωσάν μοι ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ δοῦλοί μου μετὰ τῶν δούλων σου καὶ τὸν μισθὸν δουλείας σου δώσω σοι κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν εἴπῃς ὅτι σὺ οἶδας ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἡμῖν εἰδὼς ξύλα κόπτειν καθὼς οἱ Σιδώνιοι

וַיְהִ֞י כִּשְׁמֹ֧עַ חִירָ֛ם אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֥י שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה וַיִּשְׂמַ֣ח מְאֹ֑ד וַיֹּ֗אמֶר בָּר֤וּךְ יְהֹוָה֙ הַיּ֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֤ן לְדָוִד֙ בֵּ֣ן חָכָ֔ם עַל־הָעָ֥ם הָרָ֖ב הַזֶּֽה׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη καθὼς ἤκουσεν Χιραμ τῶν λόγων Σαλωμων ἐχάρη σφόδρα καὶ εἶπεν εὐλογητὸς ὁ θεὸς σήμερον ὃς ἔδωκεν τῷ Δαυιδ υἱὸν φρόνιμον ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν τὸν πολὺν τοῦτον

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח חִירָם֙ אֶל־שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה לֵאמֹ֔ר שָׁמַ֕עְתִּי אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֖חְתָּ אֵלָ֑י אֲנִ֤י אֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ אֶת־כׇּל־חֶפְצְךָ֔ בַּעֲצֵ֥י אֲרָזִ֖ים וּבַעֲצֵ֥י בְרוֹשִֽׁים׃
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς Σαλωμων λέγων ἀκήκοα περὶ πάντων ὧν ἀπέσταλκας πρός με ἐγὼ ποιήσω πᾶν θέλημά σου ξύλα κέδρινα καὶ πεύκινα

עֲ֠בָדַ֠י יֹרִ֨דוּ מִן־הַלְּבָנ֜וֹן יָ֗מָּה וַ֠אֲנִ֠י אֲשִׂימֵ֨ם דֹּבְר֤וֹת בַּיָּם֙ עַֽד־הַמָּק֞וֹם אֲשֶׁר־תִּשְׁלַ֥ח אֵלַ֛י וְנִפַּצְתִּ֥ים שָׁ֖ם וְאַתָּ֣ה תִשָּׂ֑א וְאַתָּה֙ תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה אֶת־חֶפְצִ֔י לָתֵ֖ת לֶ֥חֶם בֵּיתִֽי׃
οἱ δοῦλοί μου κατάξουσιν αὐτὰ ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν ἐγὼ θήσομαι αὐτὰ σχεδίας ἕως τοῦ τόπου οὗ ἐὰν ἀποστείλῃς πρός με καὶ ἐκτινάξω αὐτὰ ἐκεῖ καὶ σὺ ἀρεῖς καὶ ποιήσεις τὸ θέλημά μου τοῦ δοῦναι ἄρτους τῷ οἴκῳ μου

וּשְׁלֹמֹה֩ נָתַ֨ן לְחִירָ֜ם עֶשְׂרִים֩ אֶ֨לֶף כֹּ֤ר חִטִּים֙ מַכֹּ֣לֶת לְבֵית֔וֹ וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים כֹּ֖ר שֶׁ֣מֶן כָּתִ֑ית כֹּֽה־יִתֵּ֧ן שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה לְחִירָ֖ם שָׁנָ֥ה בְשָׁנָֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ Σαλωμων ἔδωκεν τῷ Χιραμ εἴκοσι χιλιάδας κόρους πυροῦ καὶ μαχιρ τῷ οἴκῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδας βεθ ἐλαίου κεκομμένου κατὰ τοῦτο ἐδίδου Σαλωμων τῷ Χιραμ κατ’ ἐνιαυτόν

וַֽיהֹוָ֗ה נָתַ֤ן חׇכְמָה֙ לִשְׁלֹמֹ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּר־ל֑וֹ וַיְהִ֣י שָׁלֹ֗ם בֵּ֤ין חִירָם֙ וּבֵ֣ין שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וַיִּכְרְת֥וּ בְרִ֖ית שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃
καὶ κύριος ἔδωκεν σοφίαν τῷ Σαλωμων καθὼς ἐλάλησεν αὐτῷ καὶ ἦν εἰρήνη ἀνὰ μέσον Χιραμ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Σαλωμων καὶ διέθεντο διαθήκην ἀνὰ μέσον ἑαυτῶν

καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁ βασιλεὺς φόρον ἐκ παντὸς Ισραηλ καὶ ἦν ὁ φόρος τριάκοντα χιλιάδες ἀνδρῶν

וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֣ם לְבָנ֗וֹנָה עֲשֶׂ֨רֶת אֲלָפִ֤ים בַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ חֲלִיפ֔וֹת חֹ֚דֶשׁ יִהְי֣וּ בַלְּבָנ֔וֹן שְׁנַ֥יִם חֳדָשִׁ֖ים בְּבֵית֑וֹ וַאֲדֹנִירָ֖ם עַל־הַמַּֽס׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν Λίβανον δέκα χιλιάδες ἐν τῷ μηνί ἀλλασσόμενοι μῆνα ἦσαν ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ καὶ δύο μῆνας ἐν οἴκῳ αὐτῶν καὶ Αδωνιραμ ἐπὶ τοῦ φόρου

χωρὶς ἀρχόντων τῶν καθεσταμένων ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων τῶν Σαλωμων τρεῖς χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι ἐπιστάται οἱ ποιοῦντες τὰ ἔργα
