20:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Μετὰ δὲ τὸ παύσασθαι τὸν θόρυβον μεταπεμψάμενος ὁ Παῦλος τοὺς μαθητὰς καὶ παρακαλέσας , ἀσπασάμενος ἐξῆλθεν πορεύεσθαι εἰς Μακεδονίαν .
Postquam autem cessavit tumultus , vocatis Paulus discipulis , et exhortatus eos , valedixit , et profectus est ut iret in Macedoniam .
ወእምድኅረ ኀልቀ ሀከክ ጸውዐ ጳውሎስ አርዳኢሁ ወመሀሮሙ ወሰዐሞሙ ወወፅአ ወሖረ መቄዶንያ ።
After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.
20:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ διελθὼν δὲ τὰ μέρη ἐκεῖνα καὶ παρακαλέσας αὐτοὺς λόγῳ πολλῷ ἦλθεν εἰς τὴν Ἑλλάδα ,
Cum autem perambulasset partes illas , et exhortatus eos fuisset multo sermone , venit ad Graeciam :
ወኀለፈ እንተ ውእቱ በሐውርት ወብዙኀ መሀሮሙ በቃሉ ወእምዝ ሖረ ኤልዳ ።
When he had gone through those parts and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.
20:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ ποιήσας τε μῆνας τρεῖς γενομένης ἐπιβουλῆς αὐτῷ ὑπὸ τῶν Ἰουδαίων μέλλοντι ἀνάγεσθαι εἰς τὴν Συρίαν ἐγένετο γνώμης τοῦ ὑποστρέφειν διὰ Μακεδονίας .
ubi cum fecisset menses tres , factae sunt illi insidiae a Judaeis navigaturo in Syriam : habuitque consilium ut reverteretur per Macedoniam .
ወነበረ በህየ ሠለስተ አውራኀ ወተማከሩ አይሁድ ዲቤሁ ወፈቀደ ይሑር ብሔረ ሶርያ ወመከረ ይሠወጥ መቄዶንያ ።
When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.
20:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ συνείπετο δὲ αὐτῷ Σώπατρος Πύρρου Βεροιαῖος , Θεσσαλονικέων δὲ Ἀρίσταρχος καὶ Σεκοῦνδος , καὶ Γάϊος Δερβαῖος καὶ Τιμόθεος , Ἀσιανοὶ δὲ Τυχικὸς καὶ Τρόφιμος .
Comitatus est autem eum Sopater Pyrrhi Beroeensis , Thessalonicensium vero Aristarchus , et Secundus , et Gajus Derbeus , et Timotheus : Asiani vero Tychicus et Trophimus .
ወሖሩ ምስሌሁ ሱሲ ጴጥሮስ ዘሀገረ ቤርያ ወእምተሰሎንቄ አርስጥሮኮስ ወሲኮንዱስ ወጋይዮስ ደርቤያዊ ወጢሞቴዎስ ዘእምልስጥራን ወእምእስያ ቲኪቆስ ወጥሮፊሞስ ።
These accompanied him as far as Asia: Sopater of Beroea, Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians, Gaius of Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.
20:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὗτοι δὲ προελθόντες ἔμενον ἡμᾶς ἐν Τρῳάδι ·
Hi cum praecessissent , sustinuerunt nos Troade :
ወእሙንቱ ሖሩ ቅድሜነ ወጸንሑነ ውስተ ጢሮአዳ ።
But these had gone ahead, and were waiting for us at Troas.
20:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡμεῖς δὲ ἐξεπλεύσαμεν μετὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τῶν ἀζύμων ἀπὸ Φιλίππων , καὶ ἤλθομεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν Τρῳάδα ἄχρι ἡμερῶν πέντε , ὅπου διετρίψαμεν ἡμέρας ἑπτά .
nos vero navigavimus post dies azymorum a Philippis , et venimus ad eos Troadem in diebus quinque , ubi demorati sumus diebus septem .
ወንሕነሰ ነገድነ እምድኅረ ፋሲካ እምፊልጵስዩስ ወበጻሕነ ኀቤሆሙ ውስተ ጢሮአዳ በባሕር በኀምስቱ ዕለት ወነበርነ ህየ ሰቡዐ መዋዕለ ።
We sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we stayed seven days.
20:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἐν δὲ τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων συνηγμένων ἡμῶν κλάσαι ἄρτον ὁ Παῦλος διελέγετο αὐτοῖς , μέλλων ἐξιέναι τῇ ἐπαύριον , παρέτεινέν τε τὸν λόγον μέχρι μεσονυκτίου .
Una autem sabbati cum convenissemus ad frangendum panem , Paulus disputabat cum eis profecturus in crastinum , protraxitque sermonem usque in mediam noctem .
ወበዕለተ እሑድ እንዘ ጉቡኣን ንሕነ ከመ ንባርክ ማእደ ወይነግሮሙ ጳውሎስ እስመ በሳኒታ ይገይሥ ወአንኀ ነገረ እስከ መንፈቀ ሌሊት ።
On the first day of the week, when the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day; and continued his speech until midnight.
20:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἦσαν δὲ λαμπάδες ἱκαναὶ ἐν τῷ ὑπερῴῳ οὗ ἦμεν συνηγμένοι ·
Erant autem lampades copiosae in coenaculo , ubi eramus congregati .
ወብዙኅ መኃትው ውስተ ውእቱ ጽርሕ ኀበ ሀሎነ ጉቡኣን ።
There were many lights in the upper room where we were gathered together.
20:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ καθεζόμενος δέ τις νεανίας ὀνόματι Εὔτυχος ἐπὶ τῆς θυρίδος , καταφερόμενος ὕπνῳ βαθεῖ διαλεγομένου τοῦ Παύλου ἐπὶ πλεῖον , κατενεχθεὶς ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕπνου ἔπεσεν ἀπὸ τοῦ τριστέγου κάτω καὶ ἤρθη νεκρός .
Sedens autem quidam adolescens nomine Eutychus super fenestram , cum mergeretur somno gravi , disputante diu Paulo , ductus somno cecidit de tertio coenaculo deorsum , et sublatus est mortuus .
ወእንዘ ይነብር አሐዱ ወልድ ወሬዛ ውስተ መስኮት ዘስሙ አውጤክስ ደቀሰ ወኖመ ዐቢየ ንዋመ ወእንዘ ይነግር ጳውሎስ ብዙኀ ጐንደየ ወእምኀበ ይነውም ውእቱ ወልድ ጸድፈ እምተሥላስ ታሕተ ወአንሥእዎ በድኖ ።
A certain young man named Eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep. As Paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third floor and was taken up dead.
20:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ καταβὰς δὲ ὁ Παῦλος ἐπέπεσεν αὐτῷ καὶ συμπεριλαβὼν εἶπεν , μὴ θορυβεῖσθε , ἡ γὰρ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ ἐστιν .
Ad quem cum descendisset Paulus , incubuit super eum : et complexus dixit : Nolite turbari , anima enim ipsius in ipso est .
ወወረደ ጳውሎስ ወነሥኦ ኀቤሁ ወይቤሎሙ ኢትደንግፁ ሀለወት ነፍሱ ላዕሌሁ ።
Paul went down and fell upon him, and embracing him said, “Don’t be troubled, for his life is in him.”
20:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀναβὰς δὲ καὶ κλάσας τὸν ἄρτον καὶ γευσάμενος ἐφ’ ἱκανόν τε ὁμιλήσας ἄχρι αὐγῆς οὕτως ἐξῆλθεν .
Ascendens autem , frangensque panem , et gustans , satisque allocutus usque in lucem , sic profectus est .
ወእምዝ ዐርገ ወአዕረጎ ምስሌሁ ወነበረ ወባረከ ማእደ ወወሀቦ ለወሬዛ እምነ ማእድ ወብዙኀ ነገሮሙ ወጐንደየ እስከ ጎሕ ።
When he had gone up, had broken bread and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even until break of day, he departed.
20:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἤγαγον δὲ τὸν παῖδα ζῶντα , καὶ παρεκλήθησαν οὐ μετρίως .
Adduxerunt autem puerum viventem , et consolati sunt non minime .
ወእምዝ ወፅአ ጌሠመ ወአወፈዮሙ ውእተ ወልደ ሕያዎ ወተፈሥሑ ፈድፋደ ።
They brought the boy in alive, and were greatly comforted.
20:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἡμεῖς δὲ προελθόντες ἐπὶ τὸ πλοῖον ἀνήχθημεν ἐπὶ τὴν Ἄσσον , ἐκεῖθεν μέλλοντες ἀναλαμβάνειν τὸν Παῦλον · οὕτως γὰρ διατεταγμένος ἦν μέλλων αὐτὸς πεζεύειν .
Nos autem ascendentes navem , navigavimus in Asson , inde suscepturi Paulum : sic enim disposuerat ipse per terram iter facturus .
ወንሕነሰ ዐረግነ ሐመረ ወሖርነ አሶን እስመ እምህየ ፈቀድነ ንትቀበሎ ለጳውሎስ እስመ ከመዝ ተናገረነ ከመ ይመጽእ በእግር ወተቀበልናሁ ።
But we, going ahead to the ship, set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there; for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land.
20:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὡς δὲ συνέβαλλεν ἡμῖν εἰς τὴν Ἄσσον , ἀναλαβόντες αὐτὸν ἤλθομεν εἰς Μιτυλήνην .
Cum autem convenisset nos in Asson , assumpto eo , venimus Mitylenen .
ወበጻሕነ አሶን ወነሣእናሁ ዲበ ሐመር ወሖርነ ሚልጢኒን ።
When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and came to Mitylene.
20:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ κἀκεῖθεν ἀποπλεύσαντες τῇ ἐπιούσῃ κατηντήσαμεν ἄντικρυς Χίου , τῇ δὲ ἑτέρᾳ παρεβάλομεν εἰς Σάμον , τῇ δὲ ἐχομένῃ ἤλθομεν εἰς Μίλητον ·
Et inde navigantes , sequenti die venimus contra Chium , et alia applicuimus Samum , et sequenti die venimus Miletum .
ወእምህየ ነገድነ በሳኒታ ወበጻሕነ አንጢቅክስዩ ወበሳኒታ ኀለፍነ እንተ አሞን ወነበርነ ትሮጊሊዮም ወእምድኅረ ውእቱ ዕለት በጻሕነ መሊጡ ።
Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we touched at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium, and the day after we came to Miletus.
20:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ κεκρίκει γὰρ ὁ Παῦλος παραπλεῦσαι τὴν Ἔφεσον , ὅπως μὴ γένηται αὐτῷ χρονοτριβῆσαι ἐν τῇ Ἀσίᾳ , ἔσπευδεν γὰρ εἰ δυνατὸν εἴη αὐτῷ τὴν ἡμέραν τῆς πεντηκοστῆς γενέσθαι εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ .
Proposuerat enim Paulus transnavigare Ephesum , ne qua mora illi fieret in Asia . Festinabat enim , si possibile sibi esset , ut diem Pentecostes faceret Jerosolymis .
እስመ አጥብዐ ጳውሎስ ከመ ይሑር ኤፌሶን ከመ ኢይጐንዲ ውስተ እስያ ወጐጕአ ለእመ ይትከሃሎ ይብጻሕ ኢየሩሳሌም ለጰንጠቈስጤ ።
For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
20:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἀπὸ δὲ τῆς Μιλήτου πέμψας εἰς Ἔφεσον μετεκαλέσατο τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τῆς ἐκκλησίας .
A Mileto autem mittens Ephesum , vocavit majores natu ecclesiae .
ወእምነ መሊጡ ለአከ ኤፌሶን ይጸውዕዎሙ ለቀሲሳን እለ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ።
From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called to himself the elders of the assembly.
20:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὡς δὲ παρεγένοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς , ὑμεῖς ἐπίστασθε ἀπὸ πρώτης ἡμέρας ἀφ’ ἧς ἐπέβην εἰς τὴν Ἀσίαν πῶς μεθ’ ὑμῶν τὸν πάντα χρόνον ἐγενόμην ,
Qui cum venissent ad eum , et simul essent , dixit eis : Vos scitis a prima die qua ingressus sum in Asiam , qualiter vobiscum per omne tempus fuerim ,
ወበጺሖሙ ኀቤሁ ይቤሎሙ ለሊክሙ ተአምሩ እምአመ መጻእኩ እስያ ዘከመ ነበርኩ ኀቤክሙ በኵሉ መዋዕል ።
When they had come to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,
20:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ δουλεύων τῷ κυρίῳ μετὰ πάσης ταπεινοφροσύνης καὶ δακρύων καὶ πειρασμῶν τῶν συμβάντων μοι ἐν ταῖς ἐπιβουλαῖς τῶν Ἰουδαίων ·
serviens Domino cum omni humilitate , et lacrimis , et tentationibus , quae mihi acciderunt ex insidiis Judaeorum :
እንዘ እትቀነይ ለእግዚአብሔር ወእሰርሕ በኵሉ ሕማም ወአንብዕ ወመንሱትሂ ዘረከበኒ እምአይሁድ ።
serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;
20:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὡς οὐδὲν ὑπεστειλάμην τῶν συμφερόντων τοῦ μὴ ἀναγγεῖλαι ὑμῖν καὶ διδάξαι ὑμᾶς δημοσίᾳ καὶ κατ’ οἴκους ,
quomodo nihil subtraxerim utilium , quominus annuntiarem vobis et docerem vos , publice et per domos ,
ወአልቦ ዘሰወርኩክሙ እምኵሉ ዘይደልወክሙ ዘኢነገርኩክሙ ወዘኢመሀርኩክሙ ።
how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,
20:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ διαμαρτυρόμενος Ἰουδαίοις τε καὶ Ἕλλησιν τὴν εἰς θεὸν μετάνοιαν καὶ πίστιν εἰς τὸν κύριον ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦν Χριστόν .
testificans Judaeis atque gentilibus in Deum poenitentiam , et fidem in Dominum nostrum Jesum Christum .
እንዘ አሰምዖሙ ለአይሁድ ክሡተ ወለአረሚኒ በአፍኣኒ ወበውስጥኒ ከመ ይትጋነዩ ወይነስሑ ለእግዚአብሔር ወይእመኑ በእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.
20:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ δεδεμένος ἐγὼ τῷ πνεύματι πορεύομαι εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ , τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ συναντήσοντά ἐμοὶ μὴ εἰδώς ,
Et nunc ecce alligatus ego spiritu , vado in Jerusalem : quae in ea ventura sint mihi , ignorans :
ወይእዜኒ ናሁ ተዐሠርኩ በመንፈስየ እሑር ኢየሩሳሌም ወኢየአምር ዘይረክበኒ በውስቴታ ።
Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;
20:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ πλὴν ὅτι τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον κατὰ πόλιν διαμαρτύρεταί μοι λέγον ὅτι δεσμὰ καὶ θλίψεις με μένουσιν .
nisi quod Spiritus Sanctus per omnes civitates mihi protestatur , dicens quoniam vincula et tribulationes Jerosolymis me manent .
ወባሕቱ አስምዐ ሊተ መንፈስ ቅዱስ በበአህጉር እንዘ ይብል ሕማም ወመዋቅሕት ይጸንሐከ ።
except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.
20:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀλλ’ οὐδενὸς λόγου ποιοῦμαι τὴν ψυχὴν τιμίαν ἐμαυτῷ ὡς τελειῶσαι τὸν δρόμον μου καὶ τὴν διακονίαν ἣν ἔλαβον παρὰ τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ , διαμαρτύρασθαι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς χάριτος τοῦ θεοῦ .
Sed nihil horum vereor : nec facio animam meam pretiosiorem quam me , dummodo consummem cursum meum , et ministerium verbi quod accepi a Domino Jesu , testificari Evangelium gratiae Dei .
ወባሕቱ ኢየሐስባ ለነፍስየ ወኢምንተኒ ዳእሙ ከመ እፈጽም መልእክትየ ወእሰልጥ ግብርየ ዘነሣእኩ እምኀበ እግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ከመ እምሀር ወእስብክ ወንጌለ ጸጋሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
20:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ οἶδα ὅτι οὐκέτι ὄψεσθε τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ὑμεῖς πάντες ἐν οἷς διῆλθον κηρύσσων τὴν βασιλείαν ·
Et nunc ecce ego scio quia amplius non videbitis faciem meam vos omnes , per quos transivi praedicans regnum Dei .
ወይእዜኒ ናሁ አነ አእመርኩ ከመ ኢትሬኢዩኒ ገጽየ እንከ አንትሙ ኵልክሙ እለ ሰበኩ ለክሙ በእንተ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ።
“Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching God’s Kingdom, will see my face no more.
20:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ διότι μαρτύρομαι ὑμῖν ἐν τῇ σήμερον ἡμέρᾳ ὅτι καθαρός εἰμι ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος πάντων ,
Quapropter contestor vos hodierna die , quia mundus sum a sanguine omnium .
ወናሁ አሰምዕ ለክሙ ዮም በዛቲ ዕለት ከመ ንጹሕ አነ እምደመ ኵልክሙ ።
Therefore I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men,
20:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐ γὰρ ὑπεστειλάμην τοῦ μὴ ἀναγγεῖλαι πᾶσαν τὴν βουλὴν τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῖν .
Non enim subterfugi , quominus annuntiarem omne consilium Dei vobis .
ወአልቦ ዘኀባእኩክሙ ወዘኢነገርኩክሙ ኵሎ ምክሮ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
20:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ προσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς καὶ παντὶ τῷ ποιμνίῳ , ἐν ᾧ ὑμᾶς τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον ἔθετο ἐπισκόπους , ποιμαίνειν τὴν ἐκκλησίαν τοῦ κυρίου , ἣν περιεποιήσατο διὰ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ ἰδίου .
Attendite vobis , et universo gregi , in quo vos Spiritus Sanctus posuit episcopos regere ecclesiam Dei , quam acquisivit sanguine suo .
ወይእዜኒ ዕቀቡ ርእሰክሙ ወኵሎ መራዕየ ዘሎቱ ሤመክሙ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ጳጳሳተ ከመ ትርዐዩ ቤተ ክርስቲያኑ ለእግዚአብሔር እንተ አጥረያ በደሙ ።
Take heed, therefore, to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.
20:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐγὼ οἶδα ὅτι εἰσελεύσονται μετὰ τὴν ἄφιξίν μου λύκοι βαρεῖς εἰς ὑμᾶς μὴ φειδόμενοι τοῦ ποιμνίου ,
Ego scio quoniam intrabunt post discessionem meam lupi rapaces in vos , non parcentes gregi .
ወአነ አአምር ከመ ይመጽኡ እምድኅሬየ ተኵላት መሠጥ እለ ኢይምህክዋ ለመርዔት ።
For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
20:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν ἀναστήσονται ἄνδρες λαλοῦντες διεστραμμένα τοῦ ἀποσπᾶν τοὺς μαθητὰς ὀπίσω ἑαυτῶν .
Et ex vobisipsis exsurgent viri loquentes perversa , ut abducant discipulos post se .
ወእምውስቴትክሙ ይትነሥኡ ዕደው እለ ይሜህሩ ጠዋየ ነገረ ከመ ያግብእዎሙ ለአርድእት ኀቤሆሙ ።
Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
20:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ διὸ γρηγορεῖτε , μνημονεύοντες ὅτι τριετίαν νύκτα καὶ ἡμέραν οὐκ ἐπαυσάμην μετὰ δακρύων νουθετῶν ἕνα ἕκαστον .
Propter quod vigilate , memoria retinentes quoniam per triennium nocte et die non cessavi , cum lacrimis monens unumquemque vestrum .
ወይእዜኒ ትግሁ ወተዘከሩ ከመ ሠለስተ ዓመተ ኢነትገ አንብዕየ ሌሊተ ወመዓልተ እንዘ እሜህረክሙ ለኵልክሙ ።
Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn’t cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.
20:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ τὰ νῦν παρατίθεμαι ὑμᾶς τῷ θεῷ καὶ τῷ λόγῳ τῆς χάριτος αὐτοῦ τῷ δυναμένῳ οἰκοδομῆσαι καὶ δοῦναι τὴν κληρονομίαν ἐν τοῖς ἡγιασμένοις πᾶσιν .
Et nunc commendo vos Deo , et verbo gratiae ipsius , qui potens est aedificare , et dare haereditatem in sanctificatis omnibus .
ወይእዜኒ አማሕፀንኩክሙ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወለቃለ ጸጋሁ ዘይክል ሐኒጾተክሙ ወየሀብክሙ ርስተ ምስለ ኵሎሙ ቅዱሳን ።
Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
20:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀργυρίου ἢ χρυσίου ἢ ἱματισμοῦ οὐδενὸς ἐπεθύμησα ·
Argentum , et aurum , aut vestem nullius concupivi , sicut
ተአምሩ ከመ ኢተሰቈቁ ንዋየክሙ ኢወርቀ ወኢብሩረ ወኢአልባሰ ኢነሣእኩ ወኢ እምኀበ አሐዱሂ እምኔክሙ ።
I coveted no one’s silver, gold, or clothing.
20:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ αὐτοὶ γινώσκετε ὅτι ταῖς χρείαις μου καὶ τοῖς οὖσιν μετ’ ἐμοῦ ὑπηρέτησαν αἱ χεῖρες αὗται .
ipsi scitis : quoniam ad ea quae mihi opus erant , et his qui mecum sunt , ministraverunt manus istae .
ለሊክሙ ተአምሩ ኢለትካዝየ ወኢለእለ ምስሌየ አላ ተቀንያ እላንቱ እደውየ ።
You yourselves know that these hands served my necessities, and those who were with me.
20:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ πάντα ὑπέδειξα ὑμῖν ὅτι οὕτως κοπιῶντας δεῖ ἀντιλαμβάνεσθαι τῶν ἀσθενούντων , μνημονεύειν τε τῶν λόγων τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ , ὅτι αὐτὸς εἶπεν · μακάριόν ἐστιν μᾶλλον διδόναι ἢ λαμβάνειν .
Omnia ostendi vobis , quoniam sic laborantes , oportet suscipere infirmos ac meminisse verbi Domini Jesu : quoniam ipse dixit : Beatius est magis dare , quam accipere .
እስመ ከማሁ ይደልወነ ከመ በጻማነ ወበተግባርነ ንትወከፎሙ ለድኩማን ወዘንተ መሀርኩክሙ ተዘከሩ ቃሎ ለእግዚእነ ዘይቤ «ብፁዕ ዘይሁብ እምዘይነሥእ ።»
In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
20:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ταῦτα εἰπὼν θεὶς τὰ γόνατα αὐτοῦ σὺν πᾶσιν αὐτοῖς προσηύξατο .
Et cum haec dixisset , positis genibus suis oravit cum omnibus illis .
ወዘንተ ብሂሎ ሰገደ ወጸለየ ምስለ ኵሎሙ እለ ሀለዉ ምስሌሁ ።
When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.
20:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἱκανὸς δὲ κλαυθμὸς ἐγένετο πάντων , καὶ ἐπιπεσόντες ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον τοῦ Παύλου κατεφίλουν αὐτόν ,
Magnus autem fletus factus est omnium : et procumbentes super collum Pauli , osculabantur eum ,
ወብዙኀ በከዩ ኵሎሙ ወሐቀፍዎ ክሣዶ ለጳውሎስ ወሰዐምዎ እንዘ ይቴክዙ ወፈድፋደሰ እስመ ይቤሎሙ ኢትሬእዩኒ እንከ ገጽየ ።
They all wept freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him,
20:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὀδυνώμενοι μάλιστα ἐπὶ τῷ λόγῳ ᾧ εἰρήκει ὅτι οὐκέτι μέλλουσιν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ θεωρεῖν . προέπεμπον δὲ αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ πλοῖον .
dolentes maxime in verbo quod dixerat , quoniam amplius faciem ejus non essent visuri . Et deducebant eum ad navem .
ወአስተፋነውዎ ወዐርገ ሐመረ ።
sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
