12:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאֶֽל ־אַהֲרֹ֔ן בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לֵאמֹֽר ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου λέγων
Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron in terra Aegypti :
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
12:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַחֹ֧דֶשׁ הַזֶּ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם רֹ֣אשׁ חֳדָשִׁ֑ים רִאשׁ֥וֹן הוּא֙ לָכֶ֔ם לְחׇדְשֵׁ֖י הַשָּׁנָֽה ׃
ὁ μὴν οὗτος ὑμῖν ἀρχὴ μηνῶν πρῶτός ἐστιν ὑμῖν ἐν τοῖς μησὶν τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ
Mensis iste , vobis principium mensium : primus erit in mensibus anni .
ዝወርኅ ፡ ቀደማየ ፡ አውራኅ ፡ ይኩንክሙ ፡ ወአቅድምዎ ፡ እምአውራኅ ፡ ዓመት ።
“This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.
12:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ דַּבְּר֗וּ אֶֽל ־כׇּל ־עֲדַ֤ת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בֶּעָשֹׂ֖ר לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַזֶּ֑ה וְיִקְח֣וּ לָהֶ֗ם אִ֛ישׁ שֶׂ֥ה לְבֵית ־אָבֹ֖ת שֶׂ֥ה לַבָּֽיִת ׃
λάλησον πρὸς πᾶσαν συναγωγὴν υἱῶν Ισραηλ λέγων τῇ δεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς τούτου λαβέτωσαν ἕκαστος πρόβατον κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν ἕκαστος πρόβατον κατ’ οἰκίαν
Loquimini ad universum coetum filiorum Israël , et dicite eis : Decima die mensis hujus tollat unusquisque agnum per familias et domos suas .
ወንግር ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ማኅበረ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወበሎሙ ፡ በዐሡሩ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ይንሣእ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ በግዐ ፡ በበ ፡ ቤ [ተ ] ፡ ዘመዱ ፡ ወለለ ፡ ማኅደሩ ፡ በግዐ ።
Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;
12:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאִם ־יִמְעַ֣ט הַבַּ֘יִת֮ מִהְי֣וֹת מִשֶּׂה֒ וְלָקַ֣ח ה֗וּא וּשְׁכֵנ֛וֹ הַקָּרֹ֥ב אֶל ־בֵּית֖וֹ בְּמִכְסַ֣ת נְפָשֹׁ֑ת אִ֚ישׁ לְפִ֣י אׇכְל֔וֹ תָּכֹ֖סּוּ עַל ־הַשֶּֽׂה ׃
ἐὰν δὲ ὀλιγοστοὶ ὦσιν οἱ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ ὥστε μὴ ἱκανοὺς εἶναι εἰς πρόβατον συλλήμψεται μεθ’ ἑαυτοῦ τὸν γείτονα τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ψυχῶν ἕκαστος τὸ ἀρκοῦν αὐτῷ συναριθμήσεται εἰς πρόβατον
Sin autem minor est numerus ut sufficere possit ad vescendum agnum , assumet vicinum suum qui junctus est domui suae , juxta numerum animarum quae sufficere possunt ad esum agni .
ወለእመ ፡ ውኁዳን ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤት ፡ ወኢይዌድኡ ፡ አሐደ ፡ በግዐ ፡ ይንሣእ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ካልአ ፡ ዘጎሩ ፡ በኊል [ቍ ] ፡ ዘነፍስ ፡ ለለ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ዘየአክሎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይወድኡ ።
and if the household is too little for a lamb, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls. You shall make your count for the lamb according to what everyone can eat.
12:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ שֶׂ֥ה תָמִ֛ים זָכָ֥ר בֶּן ־שָׁנָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם מִן ־הַכְּבָשִׂ֥ים וּמִן ־הָעִזִּ֖ים תִּקָּֽחוּ ׃
πρόβατον τέλειον ἄρσεν ἐνιαύσιον ἔσται ὑμῖν ἀπὸ τῶν ἀρνῶν καὶ τῶν ἐρίφων λήμψεσθε
Erit autem agnus absque macula , masculus , anniculus : juxta quem ritum tolletis et haedum .
በግዐ ፡ ፍጹመ ፡ ተባዕተ ፡ ዘዓመት ፡ ይኩንክሙ ፡ እመራይ ፡ ትነሥኡ ፡ ማሕስአ ።
Your lamb shall be without defect, a male a year old. You shall take it from the sheep or from the goats.
12:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֤ה לָכֶם֙ לְמִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת עַ֣ד אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַזֶּ֑ה וְשָׁחֲט֣וּ אֹת֗וֹ כֹּ֛ל קְהַ֥ל עֲדַֽת ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֵּ֥ין הָעַרְבָּֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν διατετηρημένον ἕως τῆς τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτης τοῦ μηνὸς τούτου καὶ σφάξουσιν αὐτὸ πᾶν τὸ πλῆθος συναγωγῆς υἱῶν Ισραηλ πρὸς ἑσπέραν
Et servabitis eum usque ad quartamdecimam diem mensis hujus : immolabitque eum universa multitudo filiorum Israël ad vesperam .
ወዕቁበ ፡ ይኩንክሙ ፡ እስከ ፡ ፲ወ፬ለዝ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ወየሐርድዎ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ ማኅበሮሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ፍና ፡ ሰርክ ።
You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at evening.
12:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלָֽקְחוּ֙ מִן ־הַדָּ֔ם וְנָ֥תְנ֛וּ עַל ־שְׁתֵּ֥י הַמְּזוּזֹ֖ת וְעַל ־הַמַּשְׁק֑וֹף עַ֚ל הַבָּ֣תִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁר ־יֹאכְל֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ בָּהֶֽם ׃
καὶ λήμψονται ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος καὶ θήσουσιν ἐπὶ τῶν δύο σταθμῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν φλιὰν ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις ἐν οἷς ἐὰν φάγωσιν αὐτὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς
Et sument de sanguine ejus , ac ponent super utrumque postem , et in superliminaribus domorum , in quibus comedent illum .
ወይንሥኡ ፡ እምደሙ ፡ ወይደዩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ራግዛት ፡ ክልኤቱ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ መርፈቁ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ቤት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ይበልዕዎ ።
They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.
12:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָכְל֥וּ אֶת ־הַבָּשָׂ֖ר בַּלַּ֣יְלָה הַזֶּ֑ה צְלִי ־אֵ֣שׁ וּמַצּ֔וֹת עַל ־מְרֹרִ֖ים יֹאכְלֻֽהוּ ׃
καὶ φάγονται τὰ κρέα τῇ νυκτὶ ταύτῃ ὀπτὰ πυρὶ καὶ ἄζυμα ἐπὶ πικρίδων ἔδονται
Et edent carnes nocte illa assas igni , et azymos panes cum lactucis agrestibus .
ወይበልዑ ፡ ሥጋሁ ፡ በዝ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ ጥብሶ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ወናእተ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሐምለ ፡ ብሒእ ፡ ትበልዑ ።
They shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, with unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.
12:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַל ־תֹּאכְל֤וּ מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ נָ֔א וּבָשֵׁ֥ל מְבֻשָּׁ֖ל בַּמָּ֑יִם כִּ֣י אִם ־צְלִי ־אֵ֔שׁ רֹאשׁ֥וֹ עַל ־כְּרָעָ֖יו וְעַל ־קִרְבּֽוֹ ׃
οὐκ ἔδεσθε ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ὠμὸν οὐδὲ ἡψημένον ἐν ὕδατι ἀλλ’ ἢ ὀπτὰ πυρί κεφαλὴν σὺν τοῖς ποσὶν καὶ τοῖς ἐνδοσθίοις
Non comedetis ex eo crudum quid , nec coctum aqua , sed tantum assum igni : caput cum pedibus ejus et intestinis vorabitis .
ወኢትብልዑ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ጥራየ ፡ ወኢብስሎ ፡ በማይ ፡ እንበለ ፡ ጥብሶ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ርእሶ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እገሪሁ ።
Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts.
12:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹא ־תוֹתִ֥ירוּ מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עַד ־בֹּ֑קֶר וְהַנֹּתָ֥ר מִמֶּ֛נּוּ עַד ־בֹּ֖קֶר בָּאֵ֥שׁ תִּשְׂרֹֽפוּ ׃
οὐκ ἀπολείψετε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἕως πρωὶ καὶ ὀστοῦν οὐ συντρίψετε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ τὰ δὲ καταλειπόμενα ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἕως πρωὶ ἐν πυρὶ κατακαύσετε
Nec remanebit quidquam ex eo usque mane ; si quid residuum fuerit , igne comburetis .
ወትዌድእዎ ፡ ወኢታተርፉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ለነግህ ፡ ወዐጽሞ ፡ ኢትስብሩ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘተርፈ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ለነግህ ፡ አውዕይዎ ፡ በእሳት ።
You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.
12:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכָ֘כָה֮ תֹּאכְל֣וּ אֹתוֹ֒ מׇתְנֵיכֶ֣ם חֲגֻרִ֔ים נַֽעֲלֵיכֶם֙ בְּרַגְלֵיכֶ֔ם וּמַקֶּלְכֶ֖ם בְּיֶדְכֶ֑ם וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אֹתוֹ֙ בְּחִפָּז֔וֹן פֶּ֥סַח ה֖וּא לַיהֹוָֽה ׃
οὕτως δὲ φάγεσθε αὐτό αἱ ὀσφύες ὑμῶν περιεζωσμέναι καὶ τὰ ὑποδήματα ἐν τοῖς ποσὶν ὑμῶν καὶ αἱ βακτηρίαι ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἔδεσθε αὐτὸ μετὰ σπουδῆς πασχα ἐστὶν κυρίῳ
Sic autem comedetis illum : renes vestros accingetis , et calceamenta habebitis in pedibus , tenentes baculos in manibus , et comedetis festinanter : est enim Phase (id est , transitus ) Domini .
ወከመዝ ፡ ወባሕቱ ፡ ብልዕዎ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ቅኑት ፡ ሐቌክሙ ፡ ወአሣእኒክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እገሪክሙ ፡ ወቀስታማቲክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደዊክሙ ፡ ወትበልዕዎ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትጔጕኡ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፋሲካሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ።
This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Passover.
12:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעָבַרְתִּ֣י בְאֶֽרֶץ ־מִצְרַ֘יִם֮ בַּלַּ֣יְלָה הַזֶּה֒ וְהִכֵּיתִ֤י כׇל ־בְּכוֹר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם מֵאָדָ֖ם וְעַד ־בְּהֵמָ֑ה וּבְכׇל ־אֱלֹהֵ֥י מִצְרַ֛יִם אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה שְׁפָטִ֖ים אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ διελεύσομαι ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ταύτῃ καὶ πατάξω πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς θεοῖς τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ποιήσω τὴν ἐκδίκησιν ἐγὼ κύριος
Et transibo per terram Aegypti nocte illa , percutiamque omne primogenitum in terra Aegypti ab homine usque ad pecus : et in cunctis diis Aegypti faciam judicia . Ego Dominus .
ወእመጽእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ በዛ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ ወእቀትል ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምሰብእ ፡ እስከ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወእገብር ፡ በቀለ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal. I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Yahweh.
12:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָה֩ הַדָּ֨ם לָכֶ֜ם לְאֹ֗ת עַ֤ל הַבָּתִּים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַתֶּ֣ם שָׁ֔ם וְרָאִ֙יתִי֙ אֶת ־הַדָּ֔ם וּפָסַחְתִּ֖י עֲלֵכֶ֑ם וְלֹֽא ־יִֽהְיֶ֨ה בָכֶ֥ם נֶ֙גֶף֙ לְמַשְׁחִ֔ית בְּהַכֹּתִ֖י בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἔσται τὸ αἷμα ὑμῖν ἐν σημείῳ ἐπὶ τῶν οἰκιῶν ἐν αἷς ὑμεῖς ἐστε ἐκεῖ καὶ ὄψομαι τὸ αἷμα καὶ σκεπάσω ὑμᾶς καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν ὑμῖν πληγὴ τοῦ ἐκτριβῆναι ὅταν παίω ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ
Erit autem sanguis vobis in signum in aedibus in quibus eritis : et videbo sanguinem , et transibo vos : nec erit in vobis plaga disperdens quando percussero terram Aegypti .
ወይኩን ፡ ዝደም ፡ ተአምረ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሀለውክሙ ፡ ህየ ፡ ወእሬእዮ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ደም ፡ ወእከድነክሙ ፡ ወኢይከውን ፡ ዲቤክሙ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ለተቀጥቅጦ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አምጻእክዋ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
12:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָה֩ הַיּ֨וֹם הַזֶּ֤ה לָכֶם֙ לְזִכָּר֔וֹן וְחַגֹּתֶ֥ם אֹת֖וֹ חַ֣ג לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם חֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם תְּחׇגֻּֽהוּ ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἡ ἡμέρα ὑμῖν αὕτη μνημόσυνον καὶ ἑορτάσετε αὐτὴν ἑορτὴν κυρίῳ εἰς πάσας τὰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν νόμιμον αἰώνιον ἑορτάσετε αὐτήν
Habebitis autem hunc diem in monimentum : et celebrabitis eam solemnem Domino in generationibus vestris cultu sempiterno .
ወትኩንክሙ ፡ ዛዕለት ፡ ተዝካረ ፡ ወትገብሩ ፡ በዓለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ባቲ ፡ በመዋዕሊክሙ ፡ ሕገ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፡ በዓልክሙ ፡ ይእቲ ።
This day shall be a memorial for you. You shall keep it as a feast to Yahweh. You shall keep it as a feast throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.
12:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ שִׁבְעַ֤ת יָמִים֙ מַצּ֣וֹת תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ אַ֚ךְ בַּיּ֣וֹם הָרִאשׁ֔וֹן תַּשְׁבִּ֥יתוּ שְּׂאֹ֖ר מִבָּתֵּיכֶ֑ם כִּ֣י ׀ כׇּל ־אֹכֵ֣ל חָמֵ֗ץ וְנִכְרְתָ֞ה הַנֶּ֤פֶשׁ הַהִוא֙ מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִיּ֥וֹם הָרִאשֹׁ֖ן עַד ־י֥וֹם הַשְּׁבִעִֽי ׃
ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἄζυμα ἔδεσθε ἀπὸ δὲ τῆς ἡμέρας τῆς πρώτης ἀφανιεῖτε ζύμην ἐκ τῶν οἰκιῶν ὑμῶν πᾶς ὃς ἂν φάγῃ ζύμην ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐξ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας τῆς πρώτης ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας τῆς ἑβδόμης
Septem diebus azyma comedetis : in die primo non erit fermentum in domibus vestris : quicumque comederit fermentatum , peribit anima illa de Israël , a primo die usque ad diem septimum .
ሰቡዐ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ናእተ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ቀዳሚት ፡ ዕለት ፡ ታማስኑ ፡ ብሑአ ፡ እምአብያቲክሙ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘበልዐ ፡ ብሑአ ፡ ለትሠሮ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እምእስራኤል ፡ እምዕለት ፡ ቀዳሚት ፡ እስከ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ሳብዕት ።
“‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
12:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבַיּ֤וֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן֙ מִקְרָא ־קֹ֔דֶשׁ וּבַיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י מִקְרָא ־קֹ֖דֶשׁ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֑ם כׇּל ־מְלָאכָה֙ לֹא ־יֵעָשֶׂ֣ה בָהֶ֔ם אַ֚ךְ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵאָכֵ֣ל לְכׇל ־נֶ֔פֶשׁ ה֥וּא לְבַדּ֖וֹ יֵעָשֶׂ֥ה לָכֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἡ ἡμέρα ἡ πρώτη κληθήσεται ἁγία καὶ ἡ ἡμέρα ἡ ἑβδόμη κλητὴ ἁγία ἔσται ὑμῖν πᾶν ἔργον λατρευτὸν οὐ ποιήσετε ἐν αὐταῖς πλὴν ὅσα ποιηθήσεται πάσῃ ψυχῇ τοῦτο μόνον ποιηθήσεται ὑμῖν
Dies prima erit sancta atque solemnis , et dies septima eadem festivitate venerabilis : nihil operis facietis in eis , exceptis his , quae ad vescendum pertinent .
ወዕለት ፡ ቀዳሚት ፡ ትሰመይ ፡ ቅድስተ ፡ ወዕለት ፡ ሳብዕት ፡ ትኩንክሙ ፡ ቅድስተ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ሐሪስ ፡ ኢትግበሩ ፡ ቦንቱ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይትገበሩ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ዘባሕቲቱ ፡ ይትገበር ፡ ለክሙ ።
In the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no kind of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, only that may be done by you.
12:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֮ אֶת ־הַמַּצּוֹת֒ כִּ֗י בְּעֶ֙צֶם֙ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה הוֹצֵ֥אתִי אֶת ־צִבְאוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֞ם אֶת ־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֛ה לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶ֖ם חֻקַּ֥ת עוֹלָֽם ׃
καὶ φυλάξεσθε τὴν ἐντολὴν ταύτην ἐν γὰρ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ ἐξάξω τὴν δύναμιν ὑμῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ποιήσετε τὴν ἡμέραν ταύτην εἰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν νόμιμον αἰώνιον
Et observabitis azyma : in eadem enim ipsa die educam exercitum vestrum de terra Aegypti , et custodietis diem istum in generationes vestras ritu perpetuo .
ወዕቀብዋ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ትእዛዝ ፡ እስመ ፡ በዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ አውፅኦ ፡ ለኀይልክሙ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወትገብርዋ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ በዓላቲክሙ ፡ ሕገ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this same day I have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.
12:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּרִאשֹׁ֡ן בְּאַרְבָּעָה֩ עָשָׂ֨ר י֤וֹם לַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ בָּעֶ֔רֶב תֹּאכְל֖וּ מַצֹּ֑ת עַ֠ד י֣וֹם הָאֶחָ֧ד וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ בָּעָֽרֶב ׃
ἐναρχομένου τῇ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου ἀφ’ ἑσπέρας ἔδεσθε ἄζυμα ἕως ἡμέρας μιᾶς καὶ εἰκάδος τοῦ μηνὸς ἕως ἑσπέρας
Primo mense , quartadecima die mensis ad vesperam , comedetis azyma usque ad diem vigesimam primam ejusdem mensis ad vesperam .
ወትቀድሙ ፡ ትእኅዙ ፡ እምዕለተ ፡ ዐሡሩ ፡ ወረቡዑ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ዘትቀድሙ ፡ እምሰርኩ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ ናእተ ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ፳ወ፩ለዝ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty first day of the month at evening.
12:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֔ים שְׂאֹ֕ר לֹ֥א יִמָּצֵ֖א בְּבָתֵּיכֶ֑ם כִּ֣י ׀ כׇּל ־אֹכֵ֣ל מַחְמֶ֗צֶת וְנִכְרְתָ֞ה הַנֶּ֤פֶשׁ הַהִוא֙ מֵעֲדַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בַּגֵּ֖ר וּבְאֶזְרַ֥ח הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ζύμη οὐχ εὑρεθήσεται ἐν ταῖς οἰκίαις ὑμῶν πᾶς ὃς ἂν φάγῃ ζυμωτόν ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ συναγωγῆς Ισραηλ ἔν τε τοῖς γειώραις καὶ αὐτόχθοσιν τῆς γῆς
Septem diebus fermentum non invenietur in domibus vestris : qui comederit fermentatum , peribit anima ejus de coetu Israël , tam de advenis quam de indigenis terrae .
ሰቡዐ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ብሑእ ፡ ኢይትረከብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲክሙ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘበልዐ ፡ ብሑአ ፡ ለትሠሮ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እማኅበረ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምግዩር ፡ ወእምዘ ፡ ፍጥረቱ ፡ እምድርክሙ ።
There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.
12:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּל ־מַחְמֶ֖צֶת לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֑לוּ בְּכֹל֙ מוֹשְׁבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם תֹּאכְל֖וּ מַצּֽוֹת ׃ {פ}
πᾶν ζυμωτὸν οὐκ ἔδεσθε ἐν παντὶ δὲ κατοικητηρίῳ ὑμῶν ἔδεσθε ἄζυμα
Omne fermentatum non comedetis : in cunctis habitaculis vestris edetis azyma .
ኵሎ ፡ ብሑአ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መኃድሪክሙ ፡ ናእተ ፡ ብልዑ ።
You shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations you shall eat unleavened bread.’”
12:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה לְכׇל ־זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֑ם מִֽשְׁכ֗וּ וּקְח֨וּ לָכֶ֥ם צֹ֛אן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתֵיכֶ֖ם וְשַׁחֲט֥וּ הַפָּֽסַח ׃
ἐκάλεσεν δὲ Μωυσῆς πᾶσαν γερουσίαν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς ἀπελθόντες λάβετε ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς πρόβατον κατὰ συγγενείας ὑμῶν καὶ θύσατε τὸ πασχα
Vocavit autem Moyses omnes seniores filiorum Israël , et dixit ad eos : Ite tollentes animal per familias vestras , et immolate Phase .
ወጸውዖሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ አዕሩገ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሑሩ ፡ ንሥኡ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ በግዐ ፡ በበዘመድክሙ ፡ ወሕርዱ ፡ ለፋሲካ ።
Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, “Draw out, and take lambs according to your families, and kill the Passover.
12:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְקַחְתֶּ֞ם אֲגֻדַּ֣ת אֵז֗וֹב וּטְבַלְתֶּם֮ בַּדָּ֣ם אֲשֶׁר ־בַּסַּף֒ וְהִגַּעְתֶּ֤ם אֶל ־הַמַּשְׁקוֹף֙ וְאֶל ־שְׁתֵּ֣י הַמְּזוּזֹ֔ת מִן ־הַדָּ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּסָּ֑ף וְאַתֶּ֗ם לֹ֥א תֵצְא֛וּ אִ֥ישׁ מִפֶּֽתַח ־בֵּית֖וֹ עַד ־בֹּֽקֶר ׃
λήμψεσθε δὲ δέσμην ὑσσώπου καὶ βάψαντες ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ παρὰ τὴν θύραν καθίξετε τῆς φλιᾶς καὶ ἐπ’ ἀμφοτέρων τῶν σταθμῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος ὅ ἐστιν παρὰ τὴν θύραν ὑμεῖς δὲ οὐκ ἐξελεύσεσθε ἕκαστος τὴν θύραν τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ ἕως πρωί
Fasciculumque hyssopi tingite in sanguine qui est in limine , et aspergite ex eo superliminare , et utrumque postem : nullus vestrum egrediatur ostium domus suae usque mane .
ወንሥኡ ፡ እስረተ ፡ አዞብ ፡ ወጽብኅዎ ፡ እምዝኩ ፡ ደም ፡ ዘኀበ ፡ ኆኅት ፡ ወሢምዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መርፈቅ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ራግዛት ፡ እምውእቱ ፡ ደም ፡ ዘኀበ ፡ ኆኅት ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ቤት ፡ [ወአንትሙ ፡ ኢትፃኡ ፡ እምውእቱ ፡ ቤት ፡] እስከ ፡ ይጸብሕ ።
You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
12:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעָבַ֣ר יְהֹוָה֮ לִנְגֹּ֣ף אֶת ־מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ וְרָאָ֤ה אֶת ־הַדָּם֙ עַל ־הַמַּשְׁק֔וֹף וְעַ֖ל שְׁתֵּ֣י הַמְּזוּזֹ֑ת וּפָסַ֤ח יְהֹוָה֙ עַל ־הַפֶּ֔תַח וְלֹ֤א יִתֵּן֙ הַמַּשְׁחִ֔ית לָבֹ֥א אֶל ־בָּתֵּיכֶ֖ם לִנְגֹּֽף ׃
καὶ παρελεύσεται κύριος πατάξαι τοὺς Αἰγυπτίους καὶ ὄψεται τὸ αἷμα ἐπὶ τῆς φλιᾶς καὶ ἐπ’ ἀμφοτέρων τῶν σταθμῶν καὶ παρελεύσεται κύριος τὴν θύραν καὶ οὐκ ἀφήσει τὸν ὀλεθρεύοντα εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὰς οἰκίας ὑμῶν πατάξαι
Transibit enim Dominus percutiens Aegyptios : cumque viderit sanguinem in superliminari , et in utroque poste , transcendet ostium domus , et non sinet percussorem ingredi domos vestras et laedere .
ወይመጽእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትሎሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ፡ ወይሬእዮ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ደም ፡ ውስተ ፡ መርፈቅ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ራግዛት ፡ ወይትዐደዋ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ ኆኅት ፡ ወኢየኀድጎ ፡ ለቀታሊ ፡ ይባእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትል ።
For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.
12:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֶת ־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה לְחׇק ־לְךָ֥ וּלְבָנֶ֖יךָ עַד ־עוֹלָֽם ׃
καὶ φυλάξεσθε τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο νόμιμον σεαυτῷ καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς σου ἕως αἰῶνος
Custodi verbum istud legitimum tibi et filiis tuis usque in aeternum .
ወዕቀቡ ፡ ዘሕገ ፡ ይኩንክሙ ፡ ወለውሉድክሙ ፡ ለዓለም ።
You shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.
12:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֞ה כִּֽי ־תָבֹ֣אוּ אֶל ־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִתֵּ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֵּ֑ר וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֶת ־הָעֲבֹדָ֥ה הַזֹּֽאת ׃
ἐὰν δὲ εἰσέλθητε εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ἂν δῷ κύριος ὑμῖν καθότι ἐλάλησεν φυλάξεσθε τὴν λατρείαν ταύτην
Cumque introieritis terram , quam Dominus daturus est vobis ut pollicitus est , observabitis caeremonias istas .
ወእመ ፡ ቦእክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ይሁበክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ዘነበበ ፡ ዕቀብዋ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ሥርዐት ።
It shall happen when you have come to the land which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.
12:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֕ה כִּֽי ־יֹאמְר֥וּ אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם בְּנֵיכֶ֑ם מָ֛ה הָעֲבֹדָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את לָכֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν λέγωσιν πρὸς ὑμᾶς οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν τίς ἡ λατρεία αὕτη
Et cum dixerint vobis filii vestri : Quae est ista religio ?
ወእመ ፡ ይቤለክሙ ፡ ውሉድክሙ ፡ ምንትኑ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ሥርዐት ፤
It will happen, when your children ask you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’
12:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֡ם זֶֽבַח ־פֶּ֨סַח ה֜וּא לַֽיהֹוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר פָּ֠סַ֠ח עַל ־בָּתֵּ֤י בְנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם בְּנׇגְפּ֥וֹ אֶת ־מִצְרַ֖יִם וְאֶת ־בָּתֵּ֣ינוּ הִצִּ֑יל וַיִּקֹּ֥ד הָעָ֖ם וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ ׃
καὶ ἐρεῖτε αὐτοῖς θυσία τὸ πασχα τοῦτο κυρίῳ ὡς ἐσκέπασεν τοὺς οἴκους τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἡνίκα ἐπάταξεν τοὺς Αἰγυπτίους τοὺς δὲ οἴκους ἡμῶν ἐρρύσατο καὶ κύψας ὁ λαὸς προσεκύνησεν
Dicetis eis : Victima transitus Domini est , quando transivit super domos filiorum Israël in Aegypto , percutiens Aegyptios , et domos nostras liberans . Incurvatusque populus adoravit .
ትብልዎሙ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ፋሲካሁ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘከደነ ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ኣመ ፡ ቀተሎሙ ፡ ልግብጽ ፡ ወአድኀነ ፡ አብያቲነ ፡ ወደነነ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወሰገደ ።
that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.
12:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀπελθόντες ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καθὰ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ Ααρων οὕτως ἐποίησαν
Et egressi filii Israël fecerunt sicut praeceperat Dominus Moysi et Aaron .
ወሖሩ ፡ ወገብሩ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብሩ ።
The children of Israel went and did so; as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
12:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּחֲצִ֣י הַלַּ֗יְלָה וַֽיהֹוָה֮ הִכָּ֣ה כׇל ־בְּכוֹר֮ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ מִבְּכֹ֤ר פַּרְעֹה֙ הַיֹּשֵׁ֣ב עַל ־כִּסְא֔וֹ עַ֚ד בְּכ֣וֹר הַשְּׁבִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּבֵ֣ית הַבּ֑וֹר וְכֹ֖ל בְּכ֥וֹר בְּהֵמָֽה ׃
ἐγενήθη δὲ μεσούσης τῆς νυκτὸς καὶ κύριος ἐπάταξεν πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἀπὸ πρωτοτόκου Φαραω τοῦ καθημένου ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου ἕως πρωτοτόκου τῆς αἰχμαλωτίδος τῆς ἐν τῷ λάκκῳ καὶ ἕως πρωτοτόκου παντὸς κτήνους
Factum est autem in noctis medio , percussit Dominus omne primogenitum in terra Aegypti , a primogenito Pharaonis , qui in solio ejus sedebat , usque ad primogenitum captivae quae erat in carcere , et omne primogenitum jumentorum .
ወሶበ ፡ ኮነ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ ቀተለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምበኵረ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ዘይነብር ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንበረ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ እስከ ፡ በኵረ ፡ ፄዋዊት ፡ ቀዳሒት ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ እንስሳ ።
At midnight, Yahweh struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.
12:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֨קׇם פַּרְעֹ֜ה לַ֗יְלָה ה֤וּא וְכׇל ־עֲבָדָיו֙ וְכׇל ־מִצְרַ֔יִם וַתְּהִ֛י צְעָקָ֥ה גְדֹלָ֖ה בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם כִּֽי ־אֵ֣ין בַּ֔יִת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין ־שָׁ֖ם מֵֽת ׃
καὶ ἀναστὰς Φαραω νυκτὸς καὶ πάντες οἱ θεράποντες αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντες οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καὶ ἐγενήθη κραυγὴ μεγάλη ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ οὐ γὰρ ἦν οἰκία ἐν ᾗ οὐκ ἦν ἐν αὐτῇ τεθνηκώς
Surrexitque Pharao nocte , et omnes servi ejus , cunctaque Aegyptus : et ortus est clamor magnus in Aegypto : neque enim erat domus in qua non jaceret mortuus .
ወተንሥአ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ በሌሊት ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዐበይቱ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ አውያት ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ውስቴቶን ፡ ምውተ ።
Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
12:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָא֩ לְמֹשֶׁ֨ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֜ן לַ֗יְלָה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ ק֤וּמוּ צְּאוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ עַמִּ֔י גַּם ־אַתֶּ֖ם גַּם ־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּלְכ֛וּ עִבְד֥וּ אֶת ־יְהֹוָ֖ה כְּדַבֶּרְכֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Φαραω Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων νυκτὸς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἀνάστητε καὶ ἐξέλθατε ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ μου καὶ ὑμεῖς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ βαδίζετε καὶ λατρεύσατε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν καθὰ λέγετε
Vocatisque Pharao Moyse et Aaron nocte , ait : Surgite et egredimini a populo meo , vos et filii Israël : ite , immolate Domino sicut dicitis .
ወጸውዖሙ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ በሌሊት ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ተንሥኡ ፡ ወፃኡ ፡ እምሕዝብየ ፡ አንትሙሂ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤልሂ ፡ ወሑሩ ፡ ወተፀመድዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ በከመ ፡ ትቤሉ ።
He called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve Yahweh, as you have said!
12:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ גַּם ־צֹאנְכֶ֨ם גַּם ־בְּקַרְכֶ֥ם קְח֛וּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּרְתֶּ֖ם וָלֵ֑כוּ וּבֵֽרַכְתֶּ֖ם גַּם ־אֹתִֽי ׃
καὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ τοὺς βόας ὑμῶν ἀναλαβόντες πορεύεσθε εὐλογήσατε δὲ κἀμέ
Oves vestras et armenta assumite ut petieratis , et abeuntes benedicite mihi .
አባግዒክሙሂ ፡ ወአልህምቲክሙ ፡ ንሥኡ ፡ ወሑሩ ፡ ወባርኩኒ ፡ ኪያየ ።
Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also!”
12:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתֶּחֱזַ֤ק מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ עַל ־הָעָ֔ם לְמַהֵ֖ר לְשַׁלְּחָ֣ם מִן ־הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּ֥י אָמְר֖וּ כֻּלָּ֥נוּ מֵתִֽים ׃
καὶ κατεβιάζοντο οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι τὸν λαὸν σπουδῇ ἐκβαλεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῆς γῆς εἶπαν γὰρ ὅτι πάντες ἡμεῖς ἀποθνῄσκομεν
Urgebantque Aegyptii populum de terra exire velociter , dicentes : Omnes moriemur .
ወአጽሐብዎሙ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ለሕዝበ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከመ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ ያውፅእዎሙ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይቤሉ ፡ ኵልነ ፡ ንመውት ።
The Egyptians were urgent with the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for they said, “We are all dead men.”
12:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשָּׂ֥א הָעָ֛ם אֶת ־בְּצֵק֖וֹ טֶ֣רֶם יֶחְמָ֑ץ מִשְׁאֲרֹתָ֛ם צְרֻרֹ֥ת בְּשִׂמְלֹתָ֖ם עַל ־שִׁכְמָֽם ׃
ἀνέλαβεν δὲ ὁ λαὸς τὸ σταῖς πρὸ τοῦ ζυμωθῆναι τὰ φυράματα αὐτῶν ἐνδεδεμένα ἐν τοῖς ἱματίοις αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῶν ὤμων
Tulit igitur populus conspersam farinam antequam fermentaretur : et ligans in palliis , posuit super humeros suos .
ወነሥኡ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ሐሪጾሙ ፡ እንበለ ፡ ይትበሓእ ፡ ብሑኦሙ ፡ ዕቁረ ፡ በአልባሲሆሙ ፡ ዲበ ፡ መታክፎሙ ።
The people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.
12:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבְנֵי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל עָשׂ֖וּ כִּדְבַ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַֽיִּשְׁאֲלוּ֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם כְּלֵי ־כֶ֛סֶף וּכְלֵ֥י זָהָ֖ב וּשְׂמָלֹֽת ׃
οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐποίησαν καθὰ συνέταξεν αὐτοῖς Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾔτησαν παρὰ τῶν Αἰγυπτίων σκεύη ἀργυρᾶ καὶ χρυσᾶ καὶ ἱματισμόν
Feceruntque filii Israël sicut praeceperat Moyses : et petierunt ab Aegyptiis vasa argentea et aurea , vestemque plurimam .
ወገብሩ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአስተውሐሱ ፡ እምግብጽ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ወወርቅ ፡ ወልብስ ።
The children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing.
12:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיהֹוָ֞ה נָתַ֨ן אֶת ־חֵ֥ן הָעָ֛ם בְּעֵינֵ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם וַיַּשְׁאִל֑וּם וַֽיְנַצְּל֖וּ אֶת ־מִצְרָֽיִם ׃ {פ}
καὶ κύριος ἔδωκεν τὴν χάριν τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἔχρησαν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐσκύλευσαν τοὺς Αἰγυπτίους
Dominus autem dedit gratiam populo coram Aegyptiis ut commodarent eis : et spoliaverunt Aegyptios .
ወወሀቦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ለሕዝበ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ፡ ወአውሐስዎሙ ፡ ወሐብለይዎሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ።
Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. They plundered the Egyptians.
12:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּסְע֧וּ בְנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל מֵרַעְמְסֵ֖ס סֻכֹּ֑תָה כְּשֵׁשׁ ־מֵא֨וֹת אֶ֧לֶף רַגְלִ֛י הַגְּבָרִ֖ים לְבַ֥ד מִטָּֽף ׃
ἀπάραντες δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐκ Ραμεσση εἰς Σοκχωθα εἰς ἑξακοσίας χιλιάδας πεζῶν οἱ ἄνδρες πλὴν τῆς ἀποσκευῆς
Profectique sunt filii Israël de Ramesse in Socoth , sexcenta fere millia peditum virorum , absque parvulis .
ወግዕዙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምራምሴ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሶኮታ ፡ ፷፻-፻አጋር ፡ ዕደው ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ዘምስለ ፡ ንዋይ ።
The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, in addition to children.
12:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְגַם ־עֵ֥רֶב רַ֖ב עָלָ֣ה אִתָּ֑ם וְצֹ֣אן וּבָקָ֔ר מִקְנֶ֖ה כָּבֵ֥ד מְאֹֽד ׃
καὶ ἐπίμικτος πολὺς συνανέβη αὐτοῖς καὶ πρόβατα καὶ βόες καὶ κτήνη πολλὰ σφόδρα
Sed et vulgus promiscuum innumerabile ascendit cum eis , oves et armenta et animantia diversi generis multa nimis .
ወዘ [ተ ]ደመረ ፡ ዘዐርገ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ወበግዕ ፡ ወላህም ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ጥቀ ።
A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.
12:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּאפ֨וּ אֶת ־הַבָּצֵ֜ק אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹצִ֧יאוּ מִמִּצְרַ֛יִם עֻגֹ֥ת מַצּ֖וֹת כִּ֣י לֹ֣א חָמֵ֑ץ כִּֽי ־גֹרְשׁ֣וּ מִמִּצְרַ֗יִם וְלֹ֤א יָֽכְלוּ֙ לְהִתְמַהְמֵ֔הַּ וְגַם ־צֵדָ֖ה לֹא ־עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἔπεψαν τὸ σταῖς ὃ ἐξήνεγκαν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἐγκρυφίας ἀζύμους οὐ γὰρ ἐζυμώθη ἐξέβαλον γὰρ αὐτοὺς οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν ἐπιμεῖναι οὐδὲ ἐπισιτισμὸν ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς εἰς τὴν ὁδόν
Coxeruntque farinam , quam dudum de Aegypto conspersam tulerant : et fecerunt subcinericios panes azymos : neque enim poterant fermentari , cogentibus exire Aegyptiis , et nullam facere sinentibus moram : nec pulmenti quidquam occurrerat praeparare .
ወሐበዙ ፡ ሐሪጾሙ ፡ ዘአውጽኡ ፡ እምግብጽ ፡ ወገብርዎ ፡ ዳፍንተ ፡ ናእተ ፡ እስመ ፡ እንበለ ፡ ያብሕኡ ፡ አውጽእዎሙ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኢክህሉ ፡ ነቢረ ፡ ወኢገብሩ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ሥንቀ ፡ ለፍኖት ።
They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought out of Egypt; for it wasn’t leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, and couldn’t wait, and they had not prepared any food for themselves.
12:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמוֹשַׁב֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָשְׁב֖וּ בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָֽה ׃
ἡ δὲ κατοίκησις τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἣν κατῴκησαν ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ἐν γῇ Χανααν ἔτη τετρακόσια τριάκοντα
Habitatio autem filiorum Israël qua manserunt in Aegypto , fuit quadringentorum triginta annorum .
ወኅድረቶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዘነበሩ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወምድረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወአበዊሆሙ ፡ ፬፻፴ዓመት ።
Now the time that the children of Israel lived in Egypt was four hundred thirty years.
12:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֗י מִקֵּץ֙ שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיְהִ֗י בְּעֶ֙צֶם֙ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה יָ֥צְא֛וּ כׇּל ־צִבְא֥וֹת יְהֹוָ֖ה מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰ τετρακόσια τριάκοντα ἔτη ἐξῆλθεν πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις κυρίου ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Quibus expletis , eadem die egressus est omnis exercitus Domini de terra Aegypti .
ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ፬፻፴ዓመት ፡ ወፅአ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ሌሊተ ።
At the end of four hundred thirty years, to the day, all of Yahweh’s armies went out from the land of Egypt.
12:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֵ֣יל שִׁמֻּרִ֥ים הוּא֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה לְהוֹצִיאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם הֽוּא ־הַלַּ֤יְלָה הַזֶּה֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה שִׁמֻּרִ֛ים לְכׇל ־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְדֹרֹתָֽם ׃ {פ}
νυκτὸς προφυλακή ἐστιν τῷ κυρίῳ ὥστε ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐκείνη ἡ νὺξ αὕτη προφυλακὴ κυρίῳ ὥστε πᾶσι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ εἶναι εἰς γενεὰς αὐτῶν
Nox ista est observabilis Domini , quando eduxit eos de terra Aegypti : hanc observare debent omnes filii Israël in generationibus suis .
እምቅድመ ፡ ዕቅበቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ያውጽኦሙ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኪያሃ ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ዕቅበቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ የሀልው ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በትውልዶሙ ።
It is a night to be much observed to Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of Yahweh, to be much observed by all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
12:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאַהֲרֹ֔ן זֹ֖את חֻקַּ֣ת הַפָּ֑סַח כׇּל ־בֶּן ־נֵכָ֖ר לֹא ־יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων οὗτος ὁ νόμος τοῦ πασχα πᾶς ἀλλογενὴς οὐκ ἔδεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron : Haec est religio Phase : omnis alienigena non comedet ex eo .
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ዝውእቱ ፡ ሕጉ ፡ ለፋሲካ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘእምባዕድ ፡ ዘመድ ፡ ኢይብላዕ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner shall eat of it,
12:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכׇל ־עֶ֥בֶד אִ֖ישׁ מִקְנַת ־כָּ֑סֶף וּמַלְתָּ֣ה אֹת֔וֹ אָ֖ז יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ ׃
καὶ πᾶν οἰκέτην τινὸς ἢ ἀργυρώνητον περιτεμεῖς αὐτόν καὶ τότε φάγεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
Omnis autem servus emptitius circumcidetur , et sic comedet .
ወኵሉ ፡ ገብር ፡ ዘኮነ ፡ ወዘበሤጥ ፡ ትገዝርዎ ፡ ወይእተ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ይበልዕ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
but every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat of it.
12:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ תּוֹשָׁ֥ב וְשָׂכִ֖יר לֹא ־יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ ׃
πάροικος ἢ μισθωτὸς οὐκ ἔδεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
Advena et mercenarius non edent ex eo .
ኀደሪ ፡ ወገባኢ ፡ ኢይብላዕ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it.
12:46 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּבַ֤יִת אֶחָד֙ יֵאָכֵ֔ל לֹא ־תוֹצִ֧יא מִן ־הַבַּ֛יִת מִן ־הַבָּשָׂ֖ר ח֑וּצָה וְעֶ֖צֶם לֹ֥א תִשְׁבְּרוּ ־בֽוֹ ׃
ἐν οἰκίᾳ μιᾷ βρωθήσεται καὶ οὐκ ἐξοίσετε ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας τῶν κρεῶν ἔξω καὶ ὀστοῦν οὐ συντρίψετε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
In una domo comedetur , nec efferetis de carnibus ejus foras , nec os illius confringetis .
ወበአሐዱ ፡ ቤት ፡ ይትበላዕ ፡ ወኢታውጽኡ ፡ አፍአ ፡ እምቤት ፡ እምውእቱ ፡ ሥጋ ፡ ወዐጽሞሂ ፡ ኢትስብሩ ።
It must be eaten in one house. You shall not carry any of the meat outside of the house. Do not break any of its bones.
12:47 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּל ־עֲדַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יַעֲשׂ֥וּ אֹתֽוֹ ׃
πᾶσα συναγωγὴ υἱῶν Ισραηλ ποιήσει αὐτό
Omnis coetus filiorum Israël faciet illud .
ወኵሉ ፡ ማኅበረ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ለይግበሮ ።
All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
12:48 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכִֽי ־יָג֨וּר אִתְּךָ֜ גֵּ֗ר וְעָ֣שָׂה פֶ֘סַח֮ לַיהֹוָה֒ הִמּ֧וֹל ל֣וֹ כׇל ־זָכָ֗ר וְאָז֙ יִקְרַ֣ב לַעֲשֹׂת֔וֹ וְהָיָ֖ה כְּאֶזְרַ֣ח הָאָ֑רֶץ וְכׇל ־עָרֵ֖ל לֹֽא ־יֹ֥אכַל בּֽוֹ ׃
ἐὰν δέ τις προσέλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς προσήλυτος ποιῆσαι τὸ πασχα κυρίῳ περιτεμεῖς αὐτοῦ πᾶν ἀρσενικόν καὶ τότε προσελεύσεται ποιῆσαι αὐτὸ καὶ ἔσται ὥσπερ καὶ ὁ αὐτόχθων τῆς γῆς πᾶς ἀπερίτμητος οὐκ ἔδεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ
Quod si quis peregrinorum in vestram voluerit transire coloniam , et facere Phase Domini , circumcidetur prius omne masculinum ejus , et tunc rite celebrabit : eritque sicut indigena terrae : si quis autem circumcisus non fuerit , non vescetur ex eo .
ወእመቦ ፡ ዘመጽአ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ፡ ግዩር ፡ ወገብረ ፡ ፋሱካሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ትገዝር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተባዕቶ ፡ ወይእተ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ይሀውእ ፡ ይግሀሮ ፡ ወይከውነክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትውልደ ፡ ብሔሩ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ቈላፍ ፡ ኢይብላዕ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
When a stranger lives as a foreigner with you, and would like to keep the Passover to Yahweh, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it. He shall be as one who is born in the land; but no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
12:49 ⧉ ⤴︎ תּוֹרָ֣ה אַחַ֔ת יִהְיֶ֖ה לָֽאֶזְרָ֑ח וְלַגֵּ֖ר הַגָּ֥ר בְּתוֹכְכֶֽם ׃
νόμος εἷς ἔσται τῷ ἐγχωρίῳ καὶ τῷ προσελθόντι προσηλύτῳ ἐν ὑμῖν
Eadem lex erit indigenae et colono qui peregrinatur apud vos .
አሐዱ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ለሐቃል ፡ ወለግዩር ፡ (ወ )ለዘይመጽእ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ።
One law shall be to him who is born at home, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you.”
12:50 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֖וּ כׇּל ־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽת ־אַהֲרֹ֖ן כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καθὰ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ Ααρων πρὸς αὐτούς οὕτως ἐποίησαν
Feceruntque omnes filii Israël sicut praeceperat Dominus Moysi et Aaron .
ወገብሩ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብሩ ።
All the children of Israel did so. As Yahweh commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
12:51 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֕י בְּעֶ֖צֶם הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה הוֹצִ֨יא יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶת ־בְּנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם עַל ־צִבְאֹתָֽם ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐξήγαγεν κύριος τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν
Et eadem die eduxit Dominus filios Israël de terra Aegypti per turmas suas .
ወኮነ ፡ በይእቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ አውጽኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይሎሙ ።
That same day, Yahweh brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
