13:1
וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
13:2
קַדֶּשׁ־לִ֨י כׇל־בְּכ֜וֹר פֶּ֤טֶר כׇּל־רֶ֙חֶם֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה לִ֖י הֽוּא׃
ἁγίασόν μοι πᾶν πρωτότοκον πρωτογενὲς διανοῖγον πᾶσαν μήτραν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους ἐμοί ἐστιν
Sanctifica mihi omne primogenitum quod aperit vulvam in filiis Israël, tam de hominibus quam de jumentis : mea sunt enim omnia.
ቀድስ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ ቀዳሚ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ ዘይፈትሕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሕምሰ ፡ እምደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምሰብእ ፡ እስከነ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ውእቱ ።
“Sanctify to me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of animal. It is mine.”
13:3
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶל־הָעָ֗ם זָכ֞וֹר אֶת־הַיּ֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְצָאתֶ֤ם מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִ֔ים כִּ֚י בְּחֹ֣זֶק יָ֔ד הוֹצִ֧יא יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִזֶּ֑ה וְלֹ֥א יֵאָכֵ֖ל חָמֵֽץ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Μωυσῆς πρὸς τὸν λαόν μνημονεύετε τὴν ἡμέραν ταύτην ἐν ᾗ ἐξήλθατε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας ἐν γὰρ χειρὶ κραταιᾷ ἐξήγαγεν ὑμᾶς κύριος ἐντεῦθεν καὶ οὐ βρωθήσεται ζύμη
Et ait Moyses ad populum : Mementote diei hujus in qua egressi estis de Aegypto et de domo servitutis, quoniam in manu forti eduxit vos Dominus de loco isto : ut non comedatis fermentatum panem.
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ተዘከርዋ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ወፃእክሙ ፡ እምብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምቤት ፡ ቅንየት ፡ እስመ ፡ በእድ ፡ ጽንዕት ፡ አውፅአክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምዝየ ፡ ወኢትብልዑ ፡ ብሑአ ።
Moses said to the people, “Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.
13:4
הַיּ֖וֹם אַתֶּ֣ם יֹצְאִ֑ים בְּחֹ֖דֶשׁ הָאָבִֽיב׃
ἐν γὰρ τῇ σήμερον ὑμεῖς ἐκπορεύεσθε ἐν μηνὶ τῶν νέων
Hodie egredimini mense novarum frugum.
እስመ ፡ በዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ትወጽኡ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ በወርኀ ፡ ሃሌሉያ ፡ (ኔሳን) ።
Today you go out in the month Abib.
13:5
וְהָיָ֣ה כִֽי־יְבִיאֲךָ֣ יְהֹוָ֡ה אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ הַֽ֠כְּנַעֲנִ֠י וְהַחִתִּ֨י וְהָאֱמֹרִ֜י וְהַחִוִּ֣י וְהַיְבוּסִ֗י אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִשְׁבַּ֤ע לַאֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ לָ֣תֶת לָ֔ךְ אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָ֑שׁ וְעָבַדְתָּ֛ אֶת־הָעֲבֹדָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַזֶּֽה׃
καὶ ἔσται ἡνίκα ἐὰν εἰσαγάγῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὴν γῆν τῶν Χαναναίων καὶ Χετταίων καὶ Ευαίων καὶ Γεργεσαίων καὶ Αμορραίων καὶ Φερεζαίων καὶ Ιεβουσαίων ἣν ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν σου δοῦναί σοι γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι καὶ ποιήσεις τὴν λατρείαν ταύτην ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τούτῳ
Cumque introduxerit te Dominus in terram Chananaei, et Hethaei, et Amorrhaei, et Hevaei, et Jebusaei, quam juravit patribus tuis ut daret tibi, terram fluentem lacte et melle, celebrabis hunc morem sacrorum mense isto.
ወእመ ፡ ወሰደክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናኔዎን ፡ ወኬጤዎን ፡ ወአሞሬዎን ፡ ወኤዌዎን ፡ ወኢያ[ቡ]ሴዎን ፡ ወጌርጌሴዎን ፡ ወፌሬዜዎን ፡ ዘመሐለ ፡ ከመ ፡ የሀቦሙ ፡ ለአበዊክሙ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትውሕዝ ፡ ሐሊበ ፡ ወመዓረ ፡ ወተዘከርዋ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ሥርዐት ፡ በዝ ፡ ወርኅ ።
It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.
13:6
שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים תֹּאכַ֣ל מַצֹּ֑ת וּבַיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י חַ֖ג לַיהֹוָֽה׃
ἓξ ἡμέρας ἔδεσθε ἄζυμα τῇ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἑορτὴ κυρίου
Septem diebus vesceris azymis : et in die septimo erit solemnitas Domini.
ሰዱሰ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ ናእተ ፡ ወሳብዕት ፡ ዕለት ፡ በዓሉ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Yahweh.
13:7
מַצּוֹת֙ יֵֽאָכֵ֔ל אֵ֖ת שִׁבְעַ֣ת הַיָּמִ֑ים וְלֹֽא־יֵרָאֶ֨ה לְךָ֜ חָמֵ֗ץ וְלֹֽא־יֵרָאֶ֥ה לְךָ֛ שְׂאֹ֖ר בְּכׇל־גְּבֻלֶֽךָ׃
ἄζυμα ἔδεσθε τὰς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας οὐκ ὀφθήσεταί σοι ζυμωτόν οὐδὲ ἔσται σοι ζύμη ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ὁρίοις σου
Azyma comedetis septem diebus : non apparebit apud te aliquid fermentatum, nec in cunctis finibus tuis.
ናእተ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ ሰቡዐ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ወኢያስተርኢክሙ ፡ ብሑእ ፡ ወኢየሀሉ ፡ ብሕእት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አድባሪክሙ ።
Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and no leavened bread shall be seen with you. No yeast shall be seen with you, within all your borders.
13:8
וְהִגַּדְתָּ֣ לְבִנְךָ֔ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא לֵאמֹ֑ר בַּעֲב֣וּר זֶ֗ה עָשָׂ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ לִ֔י בְּצֵאתִ֖י מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἀναγγελεῖς τῷ υἱῷ σου ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ λέγων διὰ τοῦτο ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεός μοι ὡς ἐξεπορευόμην ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
Narrabisque filio tuo in die illo, dicens : Hoc est quod fecit mihi Dominus quando egressus sum de Aegypto.
ወትዜንዎ ፡ ለወልድከ ፡ በይእቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወትብሎ ፡ በእንተዝ ፡ ገብሮ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ገብሮ ፡ ሊተ ፡ አመ ፡ ወፃእኩ ፡ እምብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፤
You shall tell your son in that day, saying, ‘It is because of that which Yahweh did for me when I came out of Egypt.’
13:9
וְהָיָה֩ לְךָ֨ לְא֜וֹת עַל־יָדְךָ֗ וּלְזִכָּרוֹן֙ בֵּ֣ין עֵינֶ֔יךָ לְמַ֗עַן תִּהְיֶ֛ה תּוֹרַ֥ת יְהֹוָ֖ה בְּפִ֑יךָ כִּ֚י בְּיָ֣ד חֲזָקָ֔ה הוֹצִֽאֲךָ֥ יְהֹוָ֖ה מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἔσται σοι σημεῖον ἐπὶ τῆς χειρός σου καὶ μνημόσυνον πρὸ ὀφθαλμῶν σου ὅπως ἂν γένηται ὁ νόμος κυρίου ἐν τῷ στόματί σου ἐν γὰρ χειρὶ κραταιᾷ ἐξήγαγέν σε κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
Et erit quasi signum in manu tua, et quasi monimentum ante oculos tuos : et ut lex Domini semper sit in ore tuo, in manu enim forti eduxit te Dominus de Aegypto.
ከመ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ለከ ፡ ተአምረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደዊከ ፡ ወተዝካረ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲከ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ሕጉ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፉከ ፡ እስመ ፡ በእድ ፡ ጽንዕት ፡ አውፅአከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምግብጽ ።
It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.
13:10
וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־הַחֻקָּ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את לְמוֹעֲדָ֑הּ מִיָּמִ֖ים יָמִֽימָה׃ {פ}
καὶ φυλάξεσθε τὸν νόμον τοῦτον κατὰ καιροὺς ὡρῶν ἀφ’ ἡμερῶν εἰς ἡμέρας
Custodies hujuscemodi cultum statuto tempore a diebus in dies.
ወዕቀብዎ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ሕግ ፡ በበጊዜሁ ፡ እምዕለት ፡ ለዕለት ።
You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.
13:11
וְהָיָ֞ה כִּֽי־יְבִאֲךָ֤ יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר נִשְׁבַּ֥ע לְךָ֖ וְלַֽאֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ וּנְתָנָ֖הּ לָֽךְ׃
καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν εἰσαγάγῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὴν γῆν τῶν Χαναναίων ὃν τρόπον ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν σου καὶ δώσει σοι αὐτήν
Cumque introduxerit te Dominus in terram Chananaei, sicut juravit tibi et patribus tuis, et dederit tibi eam :
ወሶበ ፡ ወሰደከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናኔዎን ፡ እንተ ፡ መሐለ ፡ ለአበዊከ ፡ ወወሀበካሃ ፤
“It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and will give it to you,
13:12
וְהַעֲבַרְתָּ֥ כׇל־פֶּֽטֶר־רֶ֖חֶם לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וְכׇל־פֶּ֣טֶר׀ שֶׁ֣גֶר בְּהֵמָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִהְיֶ֥ה לְךָ֛ הַזְּכָרִ֖ים לַיהֹוָֽה׃
καὶ ἀφελεῖς πᾶν διανοῖγον μήτραν τὰ ἀρσενικά τῷ κυρίῳ πᾶν διανοῖγον μήτραν ἐκ τῶν βουκολίων ἢ ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσίν σου ὅσα ἐὰν γένηταί σοι τὰ ἀρσενικά ἁγιάσεις τῷ κυρίῳ
separabis omne quod aperit vulvam Domino, et quod primitivum est in pecoribus tuis : quidquid habueris masculini sexus, consecrabis Domino.
ትፍልጥ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘይፈትሕ ፡ ሕምሰ ፡ እመራዕይከ ፡ ወእምእንስሳከ ፡ ዘተወልደ ፡ ተባዕተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
that you shall set apart to Yahweh all that opens the womb, and every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have. The males shall be Yahweh’s.
13:13
וְכׇל־פֶּ֤טֶר חֲמֹר֙ תִּפְדֶּ֣ה בְשֶׂ֔ה וְאִם־לֹ֥א תִפְדֶּ֖ה וַעֲרַפְתּ֑וֹ וְכֹ֨ל בְּכ֥וֹר אָדָ֛ם בְּבָנֶ֖יךָ תִּפְדֶּֽה׃
πᾶν διανοῖγον μήτραν ὄνου ἀλλάξεις προβάτῳ ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀλλάξῃς λυτρώσῃ αὐτό πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἀνθρώπου τῶν υἱῶν σου λυτρώσῃ
Primogenitum asini mutabis ove : quod si non redemeris, interficies. Omne autem primogenitum hominis de filiis tuis, pretio redimes.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘይፈትሕ ፡ ሕምሰ ፡ [እድግት] ፡ ትዌልጦ ፡ በበግዕ ፡ ወእመ ፡ ኢወለጥካሁ ፡ ትቤዝዎ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ ተባዕት ፡ እምውሉድከ ፡ ትቤዝዎ ።
Every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck; and you shall redeem all the firstborn of man among your sons.
13:14
וְהָיָ֞ה כִּֽי־יִשְׁאָלְךָ֥ בִנְךָ֛ מָחָ֖ר לֵאמֹ֣ר מַה־זֹּ֑את וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֔יו בְּחֹ֣זֶק יָ֗ד הוֹצִיאָ֧נוּ יְהֹוָ֛ה מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἐρωτήσῃ σε ὁ υἱός σου μετὰ ταῦτα λέγων τί τοῦτο καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτῷ ὅτι ἐν χειρὶ κραταιᾷ ἐξήγαγεν ἡμᾶς κύριος ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας
Cumque interrogaverit te filius tuus cras, dicens : Quid est hoc ? respondebis ei : In manu forti eduxit nos Dominus de terra Aegypti, de domo servitutis.
ወእመ ፡ ተስእለከ ፡ ወልድከ ፡ እምድኅረዝ ፡ ወይቤለከ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ውእቱዝ ፡ ወትብሎ ፡ እስመ ፡ በእድ ፡ ጽንዕት ፡ አውፅአነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምቤተ ፡ ቅንየት ።
It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall tell him, ‘By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13:15
וַיְהִ֗י כִּֽי־הִקְשָׁ֣ה פַרְעֹה֮ לְשַׁלְּחֵ֒נוּ֒ וַיַּהֲרֹ֨ג יְהֹוָ֤ה כׇּל־בְּכוֹר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם מִבְּכֹ֥ר אָדָ֖ם וְעַד־בְּכ֣וֹר בְּהֵמָ֑ה עַל־כֵּן֩ אֲנִ֨י זֹבֵ֜חַ לַֽיהֹוָ֗ה כׇּל־פֶּ֤טֶר רֶ֙חֶם֙ הַזְּכָרִ֔ים וְכׇל־בְּכ֥וֹר בָּנַ֖י אֶפְדֶּֽה׃
ἡνίκα δὲ ἐσκλήρυνεν Φαραω ἐξαποστεῖλαι ἡμᾶς ἀπέκτεινεν πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἀπὸ πρωτοτόκων ἀνθρώπων ἕως πρωτοτόκων κτηνῶν διὰ τοῦτο ἐγὼ θύω τῷ κυρίῳ πᾶν διανοῖγον μήτραν τὰ ἀρσενικά καὶ πᾶν πρωτότοκον τῶν υἱῶν μου λυτρώσομαι
Nam cum induratus esset Pharao, et nollet nos dimittere, occidit Dominus omne primogenitum in terra Aegypti, a primogenito hominis usque ad primogenitum jumentorum : idcirco immolo Domino omne quod aperit vulvam masculini sexus, et omnia primogenita filiorum meorum redimo.
አመ ፡ አበየ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ፈንዎተነ ፡ ቀተለ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምበኵረ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ እስከ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወበእንተዝ ፡ አነ ፡ እሠውዕ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተባዕተ ፡ ዘይፈትሕ ፡ ሕምሰ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ በኵረ ፡ ውሉድየ ፡ እቤዙ ።
When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, Yahweh killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of livestock. Therefore I sacrifice to Yahweh all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’
13:16
וְהָיָ֤ה לְאוֹת֙ עַל־יָ֣דְכָ֔ה וּלְטוֹטָפֹ֖ת בֵּ֣ין עֵינֶ֑יךָ כִּ֚י בְּחֹ֣זֶק יָ֔ד הוֹצִיאָ֥נוּ יְהֹוָ֖ה מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔσται εἰς σημεῖον ἐπὶ τῆς χειρός σου καὶ ἀσάλευτον πρὸ ὀφθαλμῶν σου ἐν γὰρ χειρὶ κραταιᾷ ἐξήγαγέν σε κύριος ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
Erit igitur quasi signum in manu tua, et quasi appensum quid, ob recordationem, inter oculos tuos : eo quod in manu forti eduxit nos Dominus de Aegypto.
ወይኩን ፡ ተአም[ረ] ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ወዘኢይሴስል ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ዐይንከ ፡ እስመ ፡ በእድ ፡ ጽንዕት ፡ አውጽአነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
It shall be for a sign on your hand, and for symbols between your eyes; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought us out of Egypt.”
13:17
וַיְהִ֗י בְּשַׁלַּ֣ח פַּרְעֹה֮ אֶת־הָעָם֒ וְלֹא־נָחָ֣ם אֱלֹהִ֗ים דֶּ֚רֶךְ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים כִּ֥י קָר֖וֹב ה֑וּא כִּ֣י׀ אָמַ֣ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים פֶּֽן־יִנָּחֵ֥ם הָעָ֛ם בִּרְאֹתָ֥ם מִלְחָמָ֖ה וְשָׁ֥בוּ מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃
ὡς δὲ ἐξαπέστειλεν Φαραω τὸν λαόν οὐχ ὡδήγησεν αὐτοὺς ὁ θεὸς ὁδὸν γῆς Φυλιστιιμ ὅτι ἐγγὺς ἦν εἶπεν γὰρ ὁ θεός μήποτε μεταμελήσῃ τῷ λαῷ ἰδόντι πόλεμον καὶ ἀποστρέψῃ εἰς Αἴγυπτον
Igitur cum emisisset Pharao populum, non eos duxit Deus per viam terrae Philisthiim quae vicina est : reputans ne forte poeniteret eum, si vidisset adversum se bella consurgere, et reverteretur in Aegyptum.
ወሶበ ፡ ፈነዎሙ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ኢመርሖሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ፍልስ[ጥኤ]ም ፡ እስመ ፡ ቅርብት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዮጊ ፡ ይኔስሕ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ርእየ ፡ ቀትለ ፡ ወይገብእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብጽ ።
When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;
13:18
וַיַּסֵּ֨ב אֱלֹהִ֧ים׀אֶת־הָעָ֛ם דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר יַם־ס֑וּף וַחֲמֻשִׁ֛ים עָל֥וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐκύκλωσεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν λαὸν ὁδὸν τὴν εἰς τὴν ἔρημον εἰς τὴν ἐρυθρὰν θάλασσαν πέμπτη δὲ γενεὰ ἀνέβησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Sed circumduxit per viam deserti, quae est juxta mare Rubrum : et armati ascenderunt filii Israël de terra Aegypti.
ወዐገቶሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ሐቅለ ፡ ባሕረ ፡ [ኤ]ርትራ ፤ ወበኀምስ ፡ ትውልድ ፡ ዐርጉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
but God led the people around by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.
13:19
וַיִּקַּ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־עַצְמ֥וֹת יוֹסֵ֖ף עִמּ֑וֹ כִּי֩ הַשְׁבֵּ֨עַ הִשְׁבִּ֜יעַ אֶת־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר פָּקֹ֨ד יִפְקֹ֤ד אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְהַעֲלִיתֶ֧ם אֶת־עַצְמֹתַ֛י מִזֶּ֖ה אִתְּכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωυσῆς τὰ ὀστᾶ Ιωσηφ μεθ’ ἑαυτοῦ ὅρκῳ γὰρ ὥρκισεν Ιωσηφ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ λέγων ἐπισκοπῇ ἐπισκέψεται ὑμᾶς κύριος καὶ συνανοίσετέ μου τὰ ὀστᾶ ἐντεῦθεν μεθ’ ὑμῶν
Tulit quoque Moyses ossa Joseph secum : eo quod adjurasset filios Israël, dicens : Visitabit vos Deus ; efferte ossa mea hinc vobiscum.
ወነሥአ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ አዕጽምቲሁ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ መሐላ ፡ አምሐሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ አመ ፡ ኀውጾ ፡ ይኄውጸክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ንሥኡ ፡ አዕጽምትየ ፡ ወአውጽኡ ፡ ምስሌክሙ ፡ እምዝየ ።
Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the children of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones away from here with you.”
13:20
וַיִּסְע֖וּ מִסֻּכֹּ֑ת וַיַּחֲנ֣וּ בְאֵתָ֔ם בִּקְצֵ֖ה הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃
ἐξάραντες δὲ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐκ Σοκχωθ ἐστρατοπέδευσαν ἐν Οθομ παρὰ τὴν ἔρημον
Profectique de Socoth castrametati sunt in Etham, in extremis finibus solitudinis.
ወግዕዙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምሶኮት ፡ ወሐደሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኦቶ[ም] ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ በድው ።
They took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.
13:21
וַֽיהֹוָ֡ה הֹלֵךְ֩ לִפְנֵיהֶ֨ם יוֹמָ֜ם בְּעַמּ֤וּד עָנָן֙ לַנְחֹתָ֣ם הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ וְלַ֛יְלָה בְּעַמּ֥וּד אֵ֖שׁ לְהָאִ֣יר לָהֶ֑ם לָלֶ֖כֶת יוֹמָ֥ם וָלָֽיְלָה׃
ὁ δὲ θεὸς ἡγεῖτο αὐτῶν ἡμέρας μὲν ἐν στύλῳ νεφέλης δεῖξαι αὐτοῖς τὴν ὁδόν τὴν δὲ νύκτα ἐν στύλῳ πυρός
Dominus autem praecedebat eos ad ostendendam viam per diem in columna nubis, et per noctem in columna ignis : ut dux esset itineris utroque tempore.
ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይመርሖሙ ፡ መዓልተ ፡ በዐምደ ፡ ደመና ፡ ወሌሊተ ፡ በዐምደ ፡ እሳት ።
Yahweh went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on their way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light, that they might go by day and by night:
13:22
לֹֽא־יָמִ֞ישׁ עַמּ֤וּד הֶֽעָנָן֙ יוֹמָ֔ם וְעַמּ֥וּד הָאֵ֖שׁ לָ֑יְלָה לִפְנֵ֖י הָעָֽם׃ {פ}
οὐκ ἐξέλιπεν ὁ στῦλος τῆς νεφέλης ἡμέρας καὶ ὁ στῦλος τοῦ πυρὸς νυκτὸς ἐναντίον παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ
Numquam defuit columna nubis per diem, nec columna ignis per noctem, coram populo.
ወኢሰሰለ ፡ ዐምደ ፡ ደመና ፡ መዓልተ ፡ ወኢዐምደ ፡ እሳት ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, didn’t depart from before the people.
