22:1
אִם־בַּמַּחְתֶּ֛רֶת יִמָּצֵ֥א הַגַּנָּ֖ב וְהֻכָּ֣ה וָמֵ֑ת אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ דָּמִֽים׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἐν τῷ διορύγματι εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέπτης καὶ πληγεὶς ἀποθάνῃ οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ φόνος
Si quis furatus fuerit bovem aut ovem, et occiderit vel vendiderit : quinque boves pro uno bove restituet, et quatuor oves pro una ove.
ወከሪዮ ፡ ሰራቂ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ቈስለ ፡ ሰራቂ ፡ ወሞተ ፡ ኢይኩኖ ፡ ቀቲለ ፡ ለዘቀተለ ።
“If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
22:2
אִם־זָרְחָ֥ה הַשֶּׁ֛מֶשׁ עָלָ֖יו דָּמִ֣ים ל֑וֹ שַׁלֵּ֣ם יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם אִם־אֵ֣ין ל֔וֹ וְנִמְכַּ֖ר בִּגְנֵבָתֽוֹ׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἀνατείλῃ ὁ ἥλιος ἐπ’ αὐτῷ ἔνοχός ἐστιν ἀνταποθανεῖται ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὑπάρχῃ αὐτῷ πραθήτω ἀντὶ τοῦ κλέμματος
Si effringens fur domum sive suffodiens fuerit inventus, et accepto vulnere mortuus fuerit, percussor non erit reus sanguinis.
ወሠረቀ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ዲበ ፡ በድን ፡ ይመውት ፡ ዘቀተሎ ፤ ወለእመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ይሠየጥ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ዘሰረቀ ።
If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him.
22:3
אִֽם־הִמָּצֵא֩ תִמָּצֵ֨א בְיָד֜וֹ הַגְּנֵבָ֗ה מִשּׁ֧וֹר עַד־חֲמ֛וֹר עַד־שֶׂ֖ה חַיִּ֑ים שְׁנַ֖יִם יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ καταλημφθῇ καὶ εὑρεθῇ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸ κλέμμα ἀπό τε ὄνου ἕως προβάτου ζῶντα διπλᾶ αὐτὰ ἀποτείσει
Quod si orto sole hoc fecerit, homicidium perpetravit, et ipse morietur. Si non habuerit quod pro furto reddat, ipse venundabitur.
ወለእመ ፡ አኀዝዎ ፡ ወረከቡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ለዘሰረቀ ፡ እመሂ ፡ አድግ ፡ ወለእመሂ ፡ በግዕ ፡ ካዕበተ ፡ ይፈዲ ።
If the sun has risen on him, he is guilty of bloodshed. He shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
22:4
כִּ֤י יַבְעֶר־אִישׁ֙ שָׂדֶ֣ה אוֹ־כֶ֔רֶם וְשִׁלַּח֙ אֶת־בְּעִירֹ֔ה וּבִעֵ֖ר בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה אַחֵ֑ר מֵיטַ֥ב שָׂדֵ֛הוּ וּמֵיטַ֥ב כַּרְמ֖וֹ יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ καταβοσκήσῃ τις ἀγρὸν ἢ ἀμπελῶνα καὶ ἀφῇ τὸ κτῆνος αὐτοῦ καταβοσκῆσαι ἀγρὸν ἕτερον ἀποτείσει ἐκ τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτοῦ κατὰ τὸ γένημα αὐτοῦ ἐὰν δὲ πάντα τὸν ἀγρὸν καταβοσκήσῃ τὰ βέλτιστα τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ βέλτιστα τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος αὐτοῦ ἀποτείσει
Si inventum fuerit apud eum quod furatus est, vivens : sive bos, sive asinus, sive ovis, duplum restituet.
ወለእመ ፡ አብልዐ ፡ ገራህተ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ እንስሳሁ ፡ ወዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወአብልዐ ፡ ገራውሀ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ይትራዐይዎ ፡ አስማሮ ፡ ይፈዲ ፡ ወለእመሰ ፡ አግመረ ፡ ገራህተ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይበልዕ ፡ በሰመረ ፡ ገራህቱ ፡ ይፈዲ ፡ ለእመሂ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ በሰመረ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ይፈዲ ።
If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
22:5
כִּֽי־תֵצֵ֨א אֵ֜שׁ וּמָצְאָ֤ה קֹצִים֙ וְנֶאֱכַ֣ל גָּדִ֔ישׁ א֥וֹ הַקָּמָ֖ה א֣וֹ הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה שַׁלֵּ֣ם יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם הַמַּבְעִ֖ר אֶת־הַבְּעֵרָֽה׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ ἐξελθὸν πῦρ εὕρῃ ἀκάνθας καὶ προσεμπρήσῃ ἅλωνα ἢ στάχυς ἢ πεδίον ἀποτείσει ὁ τὸ πῦρ ἐκκαύσας
Si laeserit quispiam agrum vel vineam, et dimiserit jumentum suum ut depascatur aliena : quidquid optimum habuerit in agro suo, vel in vinea, pro damni aestimatione restituet.
ወለእመ ፡ ወፅአ ፡ እሳት ፡ ወአኀዘ ፡ ገዳመ ፡ ወአውዐየ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወእመሂ ፡ ክምረ ፡ ዘአውዐየ ፡ ይፈዲ ።
“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten by letting his animal loose, and it grazes in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field, and from the best of his own vineyard.
22:6
כִּֽי־יִתֵּן֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֜הוּ כֶּ֤סֶף אֽוֹ־כֵלִים֙ לִשְׁמֹ֔ר וְגֻנַּ֖ב מִבֵּ֣ית הָאִ֑ישׁ אִם־יִמָּצֵ֥א הַגַּנָּ֖ב יְשַׁלֵּ֥ם שְׁנָֽיִם׃
ἐὰν δέ τις δῷ τῷ πλησίον ἀργύριον ἢ σκεύη φυλάξαι καὶ κλαπῇ ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐὰν εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέψας ἀποτείσει διπλοῦν
Si egressus ignis invenerit spinas, et comprehenderit acervos frugum, sive stantes segetes in agris, reddet damnum qui ignem succenderit.
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘአዕቀበ ፡ ብሩረ ፡ ወእመሂ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ወተሰርቆ ፡ ለዘአዕቀብወ ፡ ወረከቦ ፡ ለዘሰረቆ ፡ ይፈዲ ፡ ካዕበተ ።
“If fire breaks out, and catches in thorns so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
22:7
אִם־לֹ֤א יִמָּצֵא֙ הַגַּנָּ֔ב וְנִקְרַ֥ב בַּֽעַל־הַבַּ֖יִת אֶל־הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים אִם־לֹ֥א שָׁלַ֛ח יָד֖וֹ בִּמְלֶ֥אכֶת רֵעֵֽהוּ׃
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ εὑρεθῇ ὁ κλέψας προσελεύσεται ὁ κύριος τῆς οἰκίας ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ὀμεῖται ἦ μὴν μὴ αὐτὸς πεπονηρεῦσθαι ἐφ’ ὅλης τῆς παρακαταθήκης τοῦ πλησίον
Si quis commendaverit amico pecuniam aut vas in custodiam, et ab eo, qui susceperat, furto ablata fuerint : si invenitur fur, duplum reddet :
ወለእመ ፡ ኢረከቡ ፡ ሰራቄ ፡ ለይሑር ፡ ባዕለ ፡ ቤት ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ፈጣሪ ፡ ወይምሐል ፡ ማሕፀነ ፡ ዘአማሕፀንዎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢተኬነወ ፡ ወኢቈጸረ ፤
“If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.
22:8
עַֽל־כׇּל־דְּבַר־פֶּ֡שַׁע עַל־שׁ֡וֹר עַל־חֲ֠מ֠וֹר עַל־שֶׂ֨ה עַל־שַׂלְמָ֜ה עַל־כׇּל־אֲבֵדָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יֹאמַר֙ כִּי־ה֣וּא זֶ֔ה עַ֚ד הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים יָבֹ֖א דְּבַר־שְׁנֵיהֶ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר יַרְשִׁיעֻן֙ אֱלֹהִ֔ים יְשַׁלֵּ֥ם שְׁנַ֖יִם לְרֵעֵֽהוּ׃ {ס}
κατὰ πᾶν ῥητὸν ἀδίκημα περί τε μόσχου καὶ ὑποζυγίου καὶ προβάτου καὶ ἱματίου καὶ πάσης ἀπωλείας τῆς ἐγκαλουμένης ὅ τι οὖν ἂν ᾖ ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐλεύσεται ἡ κρίσις ἀμφοτέρων καὶ ὁ ἁλοὺς διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀποτείσει διπλοῦν τῷ πλησίον
si latet fur, dominus domus applicabitur ad deos, et jurabit quod non extenderit manum in rem proximi sui,
እመሂ ፡ ላህመ ፡ ወእመሂ ፡ አድገ ፡ ወእመሂ ፡ በግዐ ፡ በዘ ፡ ኀሠሥዎ ፡ በማኅፀ[ን ፡]ኀሠሥዎ ፤ በዘ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ከዊኖ ፡ በህየ ፡ ይኅልቆሙ ፡ በበይናቲሆሙ ፤ ወዘገደፈ ፡ ካዕበተ ፡ ይፈዲ ፡ ለማዕቀቢሁ ።
If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.
22:9
כִּֽי־יִתֵּן֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֜הוּ חֲמ֨וֹר אוֹ־שׁ֥וֹר אוֹ־שֶׂ֛ה וְכׇל־בְּהֵמָ֖ה לִשְׁמֹ֑ר וּמֵ֛ת אוֹ־נִשְׁבַּ֥ר אוֹ־נִשְׁבָּ֖ה אֵ֥ין רֹאֶֽה׃
ἐὰν δέ τις δῷ τῷ πλησίον ὑποζύγιον ἢ μόσχον ἢ πρόβατον ἢ πᾶν κτῆνος φυλάξαι καὶ συντριβῇ ἢ τελευτήσῃ ἢ αἰχμάλωτον γένηται καὶ μηδεὶς γνῷ
ad perpetrandam fraudem, tam in bove quam in asino, et ove ac vestimento, et quidquid damnum inferre potest : ad deos utriusque causa perveniet, et si illi judicaverint, duplum restituet proximo suo.
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘወሀበ ፡ ለካልኡ ፡ ብዕራዌ ፡ እመሂ ፡ በግዐ ፡ ዘኮነ ፡ በውስቴቱ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወሞተ ፡ ወቈስለ ፡ ወእመሂ ፡ ማህረኩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘአእመረ ፡ ሎቱ ፤
For every matter of trespass, whether it is for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any kind of lost thing, about which one says, ‘This is mine,’ the cause of both parties shall come before God. He whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.
22:10
שְׁבֻעַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֗ה תִּהְיֶה֙ בֵּ֣ין שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם אִם־לֹ֥א שָׁלַ֛ח יָד֖וֹ בִּמְלֶ֣אכֶת רֵעֵ֑הוּ וְלָקַ֥ח בְּעָלָ֖יו וְלֹ֥א יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃
ὅρκος ἔσται τοῦ θεοῦ ἀνὰ μέσον ἀμφοτέρων ἦ μὴν μὴ αὐτὸν πεπονηρεῦσθαι καθ’ ὅλης τῆς παρακαταθήκης τοῦ πλησίον καὶ οὕτως προσδέξεται ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἀποτείσει
Si quis commendaverit proximo suo asinum, bovem, ovem, et omne jumentum ad custodiam, et mortuum fuerit, aut debilitatum, vel captum ab hostibus, nullusque hoc viderit :
መሐላ ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ተርፈ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተፈቲዎ ፡ ኢተኬነወ ፡ ተማኅፃኒ ፡ ወበበይነዝ ፡ ኢይፈዲ ፡ ዘተማኅፀነ ።
“If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies or is injured, or driven away, no man seeing it;
22:11
וְאִם־גָּנֹ֥ב יִגָּנֵ֖ב מֵעִמּ֑וֹ יְשַׁלֵּ֖ם לִבְעָלָֽיו׃
ἐὰν δὲ κλαπῇ παρ’ αὐτοῦ ἀποτείσει τῷ κυρίῳ
jusjurandum erit in medio, quod non extenderit manum ad rem proximi sui : suscipietque dominus juramentum, et ille reddere non cogetur.
ወለእመ ፡ ሰረቅዎ ፡ ዘአዕቀብዎ ፡ ይፈዲ ፡ ለዘአዕቀቦ ።
the oath of Yahweh shall be between them both, he has not put his hand on his neighbor’s goods; and its owner shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.
22:12
אִם־טָרֹ֥ף יִטָּרֵ֖ף יְבִאֵ֣הוּ עֵ֑ד הַטְּרֵפָ֖ה לֹ֥א יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ {פ}
ἐὰν δὲ θηριάλωτον γένηται ἄξει αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν θήραν καὶ οὐκ ἀποτείσει
Quod si furto ablatum fuerit, restituet damnum domino ;
ወለእመ ፡ አርዌ ፡ አኀዞ ፡ በገዳም ፡ ይመርሕ ፡ ገደላሁ ፡ ወኢይፈዲ ።
But if it is stolen from him, the one who stole shall make restitution to its owner.
22:13
וְכִֽי־יִשְׁאַ֥ל אִ֛ישׁ מֵעִ֥ם רֵעֵ֖הוּ וְנִשְׁבַּ֣ר אוֹ־מֵ֑ת בְּעָלָ֥יו אֵין־עִמּ֖וֹ שַׁלֵּ֥ם יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃
ἐὰν δὲ αἰτήσῃ τις παρὰ τοῦ πλησίον καὶ συντριβῇ ἢ ἀποθάνῃ ἢ αἰχμάλωτον γένηται ὁ δὲ κύριος μὴ ᾖ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἀποτείσει
si comestum a bestia, deferat ad eum quod occisum est, et non restituet.
ወለእመ ፡ ተውሕስከ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ቢጽከ ፡ ወተሰብረ ፡ ወሞተ ፡ ወኢሀሎ ፡ ወሓሲ ፡ እግዚአ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ትፈዲ ።
If it is torn in pieces, let him bring it for evidence. He shall not make good that which was torn.
22:14
אִם־בְּעָלָ֥יו עִמּ֖וֹ לֹ֣א יְשַׁלֵּ֑ם אִם־שָׂכִ֣יר ה֔וּא בָּ֖א בִּשְׂכָרֽוֹ׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ ὁ κύριος ᾖ μετ’ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἀποτείσει ἐὰν δὲ μισθωτὸς ᾖ ἔσται αὐτῷ ἀντὶ τοῦ μισθοῦ αὐτοῦ
Qui a proximo suo quidquam horum mutuo postulaverit, et debilitatum aut mortuum fuerit domino non praesente, reddere compelletur.
[ወለእመ ፡ ሀሎ ፡ እግዚኡ ፡ ኢይፈዲ ፤] ወለእመ ፡ ገባኢሁ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዐስቦ ፡ ይፈዲ ።
“If a man borrows anything of his neighbor’s, and it is injured, or dies, its owner not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
22:15
וְכִֽי־יְפַתֶּ֣ה אִ֗ישׁ בְּתוּלָ֛ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־אֹרָ֖שָׂה וְשָׁכַ֣ב עִמָּ֑הּ מָהֹ֛ר יִמְהָרֶ֥נָּה לּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἀπατήσῃ τις παρθένον ἀμνήστευτον καὶ κοιμηθῇ μετ’ αὐτῆς φερνῇ φερνιεῖ αὐτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα
Quod si impraesentiarum dominus fuerit, non restituet, maxime si conductum venerat pro mercede operis sui.
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘአስሐታ ፡ ለድንግል ፡ ወሰክበ ፡ ምስሌሃ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይነሥእ ፡ ይነሥኣ ፡ ወትከውኖ ፡ ብእሲተ ።
If its owner is with it, he shall not make it good. If it is a leased thing, it came for its lease.
22:16
אִם־מָאֵ֧ן יְמָאֵ֛ן אָבִ֖יהָ לְתִתָּ֣הּ ל֑וֹ כֶּ֣סֶף יִשְׁקֹ֔ל כְּמֹ֖הַר הַבְּתוּלֹֽת׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ ἀνανεύων ἀνανεύσῃ καὶ μὴ βούληται ὁ πατὴρ αὐτῆς δοῦναι αὐτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα ἀργύριον ἀποτείσει τῷ πατρὶ καθ’ ὅσον ἐστὶν ἡ φερνὴ τῶν παρθένων
Si seduxerit quis virginem necdum desponsatam, dormieritque cum ea : dotabit eam, et habebit eam uxorem.
ወለእመ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ምታ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢየሀብዎ ፡ የሐፂ ፡ ሕፄሃ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ ለአቡሃ ፡ ሕፄ ፡ የሐፅይዎ ፡ ለድንግል ።
“If a man entices a virgin who isn’t pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
22:17
מְכַשֵּׁפָ֖ה לֹ֥א תְחַיֶּֽה׃
φαρμακοὺς οὐ περιποιήσετε
Si pater virginis dare noluerit, reddet pecuniam juxta modum dotis, quam virgines accipere consueverunt.
[ወዘሥራይ ፡ ኢይሕየው ።]
If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
22:18
כׇּל־שֹׁכֵ֥ב עִם־בְּהֵמָ֖ה מ֥וֹת יוּמָֽת׃ {ס}
πᾶν κοιμώμενον μετὰ κτήνους θανάτῳ ἀποκτενεῖτε αὐτούς
Maleficos non patieris vivere.
ኵሉ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ኵነኔሁ ፡ መዊት ።
“You shall not allow a sorceress to live.
22:19
זֹבֵ֥חַ לָאֱלֹהִ֖ים יׇֽחֳרָ֑ם בִּלְתִּ֥י לַיהֹוָ֖ה לְבַדּֽוֹ׃
ὁ θυσιάζων θεοῖς θανάτῳ ὀλεθρευθήσεται πλὴν κυρίῳ μόνῳ
Qui coierit cum jumento, morte moriatur.
ዘይሠውዕ ፡ ለአማልክት ፡ ለይሠረው ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ባሕቲቱ ።
“Whoever has sex with an animal shall surely be put to death.
22:20
וְגֵ֥ר לֹא־תוֹנֶ֖ה וְלֹ֣א תִלְחָצֶ֑נּוּ כִּֽי־גֵרִ֥ים הֱיִיתֶ֖ם בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ προσήλυτον οὐ κακώσετε οὐδὲ μὴ θλίψητε αὐτόν ἦτε γὰρ προσήλυτοι ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ
Qui immolat diis, occidetur, praeterquam Domino soli.
ወኢታሕስሙ ፡ ለግዩር ፡ ወኢታጥቅዎ ፡ እስመ ፡ አንትሙሂ ፡ ግዩራነ ፡ ኮንክሙ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
“He who sacrifices to any god, except to Yahweh only, shall be utterly destroyed.
22:21
כׇּל־אַלְמָנָ֥ה וְיָת֖וֹם לֹ֥א תְעַנּֽוּן׃
πᾶσαν χήραν καὶ ὀρφανὸν οὐ κακώσετε
Advenam non contristabis, neque affliges eum : advenae enim et ipsi fuistis in terra Aegypti.
ወለኵሉ ፡ እቤራት ፡ ወለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ኢታሕስሙ ።
“You shall not wrong an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
22:22
אִם־עַנֵּ֥ה תְעַנֶּ֖ה אֹת֑וֹ כִּ֣י אִם־צָעֹ֤ק יִצְעַק֙ אֵלַ֔י שָׁמֹ֥עַ אֶשְׁמַ֖ע צַעֲקָתֽוֹ׃
ἐὰν δὲ κακίᾳ κακώσητε αὐτοὺς καὶ κεκράξαντες καταβοήσωσι πρός με ἀκοῇ εἰσακούσομαι τῆς φωνῆς αὐτῶν
Viduae et pupillo non nocebitis.
ወለእመ ፡ አሕሰምክሙ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወጸርሑ ፡ ወአውየው ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ሰሚዐ ፡ እሰምዕ ፡ ገዓሮሙ ።
“You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.
22:23
וְחָרָ֣ה אַפִּ֔י וְהָרַגְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם בֶּחָ֑רֶב וְהָי֤וּ נְשֵׁיכֶם֙ אַלְמָנ֔וֹת וּבְנֵיכֶ֖ם יְתֹמִֽים׃ {פ}
καὶ ὀργισθήσομαι θυμῷ καὶ ἀποκτενῶ ὑμᾶς μαχαίρᾳ καὶ ἔσονται αἱ γυναῖκες ὑμῶν χῆραι καὶ τὰ παιδία ὑμῶν ὀρφανά
Si laeseritis eos, vociferabuntur ad me, et ego audiam clamorem eorum :
ወእትመዓዕ ፡ በመዐትየ ፡ ወእቀትለክሙ ፡ በኀፂን ፡ ወይከውናክሙ ፡ አንስቲያክሙ ፡ መበለት ፡ ወውሉድክሙ ፡ እጓለ ፡ ማውታ ።
If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;
22:24
אִם־כֶּ֣סֶף׀ תַּלְוֶ֣ה אֶת־עַמִּ֗י אֶת־הֶֽעָנִי֙ עִמָּ֔ךְ לֹא־תִהְיֶ֥ה ל֖וֹ כְּנֹשֶׁ֑ה לֹֽא־תְשִׂימ֥וּן עָלָ֖יו נֶֽשֶׁךְ׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἀργύριον ἐκδανείσῃς τῷ ἀδελφῷ τῷ πενιχρῷ παρὰ σοί οὐκ ἔσῃ αὐτὸν κατεπείγων οὐκ ἐπιθήσεις αὐτῷ τόκον
et indignabitur furor meus, percutiamque vos gladio, et erunt uxores vestrae viduae, et filii vestri pupilli.
ወለእመ ፡ ለቃሕከ ፡ ብሩረ ፡ ለነዳየ ፡ ሕዝብከ ፡ ኢታጥቆ ፡ ወኢትትራደዮ ።
and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
22:25
אִם־חָבֹ֥ל תַּחְבֹּ֖ל שַׂלְמַ֣ת רֵעֶ֑ךָ עַד־בֹּ֥א הַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ תְּשִׁיבֶ֥נּוּ לֽוֹ׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἐνεχύρασμα ἐνεχυράσῃς τὸ ἱμάτιον τοῦ πλησίον πρὸ δυσμῶν ἡλίου ἀποδώσεις αὐτῷ
Si pecuniam mutuam dederis populo meo pauperi qui habitat tecum, non urgebis eum quasi exactor, nec usuris opprimes.
ወእመ ፡ አእኀዘከ ፡ ልብሶ ፡ ቢጽከ ፡ እንበለ ፡ ይዕርብ ፡ [ፀሐይ ፡ አግብእ ፡ ሎቱ ።]
“If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest.
22:26
כִּ֣י הִ֤וא כְסוּתֹה֙ לְבַדָּ֔הּ הִ֥וא שִׂמְלָת֖וֹ לְעֹר֑וֹ בַּמֶּ֣ה יִשְׁכָּ֔ב וְהָיָה֙ כִּֽי־יִצְעַ֣ק אֵלַ֔י וְשָׁמַעְתִּ֖י כִּֽי־חַנּ֥וּן אָֽנִי׃ {ס}
ἔστιν γὰρ τοῦτο περιβόλαιον αὐτοῦ μόνον τοῦτο τὸ ἱμάτιον ἀσχημοσύνης αὐτοῦ ἐν τίνι κοιμηθήσεται ἐὰν οὖν καταβοήσῃ πρός με εἰσακούσομαι αὐτοῦ ἐλεήμων γάρ εἰμι
Si pignus a proximo tuo acceperis vestimentum, ante solis occasum reddes ei.
እስመ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ባሕቲታ ፡ ዐራዙ ፡ ወ[ልብሰ ፡] ኀፍረቱ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ በዘይበይት ፡ ወለእመ ፡ ግዕረ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ እሰምዖ ፡ እስመ ፡ መሓሪ ፡ አነ ።
If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,
22:27
אֱלֹהִ֖ים לֹ֣א תְקַלֵּ֑ל וְנָשִׂ֥יא בְעַמְּךָ֖ לֹ֥א תָאֹֽר׃
θεοὺς οὐ κακολογήσεις καὶ ἄρχοντας τοῦ λαοῦ σου οὐ κακῶς ἐρεῖς
Ipsum enim est solum, quo operitur, indumentum carnis ejus, nec habet aliud in quo dormiat : si clamaverit ad me, exaudiam eum, quia misericors sum.
ለአማልክት ፡ ኢትሕሚ ፡ ወመኰንነ ፡ ሕዝብከ ፡ እኪተ ፡ ኢትበሎ ።
for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
22:28
מְלֵאָתְךָ֥ וְדִמְעֲךָ֖ לֹ֣א תְאַחֵ֑ר בְּכ֥וֹר בָּנֶ֖יךָ תִּתֶּן־לִֽי׃
ἀπαρχὰς ἅλωνος καὶ ληνοῦ σου οὐ καθυστερήσεις τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν υἱῶν σου δώσεις ἐμοί
Diis non detrahes, et principi populi tui non maledices.
ከተማ ፡ ዐውድከ ፡ ወዘዐውድከ ፡ ኢታእኅር ፤ በኵረ ፡ ወልድከ ፡ ትሁበኒ ፡ ሊተ ።
“You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
22:29
כֵּֽן־תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה לְשֹׁרְךָ֖ לְצֹאנֶ֑ךָ שִׁבְעַ֤ת יָמִים֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה עִם־אִמּ֔וֹ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַשְּׁמִינִ֖י תִּתְּנוֹ־לִֽי׃
οὕτως ποιήσεις τὸν μόσχον σου καὶ τὸ πρόβατόν σου καὶ τὸ ὑποζύγιόν σου ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἔσται ὑπὸ τὴν μητέρα τῇ δὲ ὀγδόῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἀποδώσεις μοι αὐτό
Decimas tuas et primitias tuas non tardabis reddere : primogenitum filiorum tuorum dabis mihi.
ከማሁ ፡ ትገብር ፡ ሊተ ፡ ላህመከ ፡ ወበግዐከ ፡ ወአድገከ ፡ ሰቡዐ ፡ ይነብር ፡ ኀበ ፡ እሙ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ሳምንት ፡ ዕለት ፡ ትሁበኒ ፡ ሊተ ።
“You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. “You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.
22:30
וְאַנְשֵׁי־קֹ֖דֶשׁ תִּהְי֣וּן לִ֑י וּבָשָׂ֨ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֤ה טְרֵפָה֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ לַכֶּ֖לֶב תַּשְׁלִכ֥וּן אֹתֽוֹ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἄνδρες ἅγιοι ἔσεσθέ μοι καὶ κρέας θηριάλωτον οὐκ ἔδεσθε τῷ κυνὶ ἀπορρίψατε αὐτό
De bobus quoque, et ovibus similiter facies : septem diebus sit cum matre sua, die octava reddes illum mihi.
ወትከውኑኒ ፡ ዕደወ ፡ ቅዱሳነ ፡ ወሥጋ ፡ ገደላ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ ለከልብ ፡ ግድፍዎ ።
You shall do likewise with your cattle and with your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days, then on the eighth day you shall give it to me.
22:31——
Viri sancti eritis mihi : carnem, quae a bestiis fuerit praegustata, non comedetis, sed projicietis canibus.
—
“You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any meat that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.
