22:1
Si quis furatus fuerit bovem aut ovem , et occiderit vel vendiderit : quinque boves pro uno bove restituet , et quatuor oves pro una ove .
“If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
「人若偷牛或羊,無論是宰了,是賣了,他就要以五牛賠一牛,四羊賠一羊。
22:2
Si effringens fur domum sive suffodiens fuerit inventus , et accepto vulnere mortuus fuerit , percussor non erit reus sanguinis .
If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him.
人若遇見賊挖窟窿,把賊打了,以至於死,就不能為他有流血的罪。
22:3
Quod si orto sole hoc fecerit , homicidium perpetravit , et ipse morietur . Si non habuerit quod pro furto reddat , ipse venundabitur .
If the sun has risen on him, he is guilty of bloodshed. He shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
若太陽已經出來,就為他有流血的罪。賊若被拿,總要賠還。若他一無所有,就要被賣,頂他所偷的物。
22:4
Si inventum fuerit apud eum quod furatus est , vivens : sive bos , sive asinus , sive ovis , duplum restituet .
If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
若他所偷的,或牛,或驢,或羊,仍在他手下存活,他就要加倍賠還。
22:5
Si laeserit quispiam agrum vel vineam , et dimiserit jumentum suum ut depascatur aliena : quidquid optimum habuerit in agro suo , vel in vinea , pro damni aestimatione restituet .
“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten by letting his animal loose, and it grazes in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field, and from the best of his own vineyard.
「人若在田間或在葡萄園裏放牲畜,任憑牲畜上別人的田裏去吃,就必拿自己田間上好的和葡萄園上好的賠還。
22:6
Si egressus ignis invenerit spinas , et comprehenderit acervos frugum , sive stantes segetes in agris , reddet damnum qui ignem succenderit .
“If fire breaks out, and catches in thorns so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
「若點火焚燒荊棘,以致將別人堆積的禾捆,站着的禾稼,或是田園,都燒盡了,那點火的必要賠還。
22:7
Si quis commendaverit amico pecuniam aut vas in custodiam , et ab eo , qui susceperat , furto ablata fuerint : si invenitur fur , duplum reddet :
“If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.
「人若將銀錢或家具交付鄰舍看守,這物從那人的家被偷去,若把賊找到了,賊要加倍賠還;
22:8
si latet fur , dominus domus applicabitur ad deos , et jurabit quod non extenderit manum in rem proximi sui ,
If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.
若找不到賊,那家主必就近審判官,要看看他拿了原主的物件沒有。
22:9
ad perpetrandam fraudem , tam in bove quam in asino , et ove ac vestimento , et quidquid damnum inferre potest : ad deos utriusque causa perveniet , et si illi judicaverint , duplum restituet proximo suo .
For every matter of trespass, whether it is for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any kind of lost thing, about which one says, ‘This is mine,’ the cause of both parties shall come before God. He whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.
「兩個人的案件,無論是為甚麼過犯,或是為牛,為驢,為羊,為衣裳,或是為甚麼失掉之物,有一人說:『這是我的』,兩造就要將案件稟告審判官,審判官定誰有罪,誰就要加倍賠還。
22:10
Si quis commendaverit proximo suo asinum , bovem , ovem , et omne jumentum ad custodiam , et mortuum fuerit , aut debilitatum , vel captum ab hostibus , nullusque hoc viderit :
“If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies or is injured, or driven away, no man seeing it;
「人若將驢,或牛,或羊,或別的牲畜,交付鄰舍看守,牲畜或死,或受傷,或被趕去,無人看見,
22:11
jusjurandum erit in medio , quod non extenderit manum ad rem proximi sui : suscipietque dominus juramentum , et ille reddere non cogetur .
the oath of Yahweh shall be between them both, he has not put his hand on his neighbor’s goods; and its owner shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.
那看守的人要憑着耶和華起誓,手裏未曾拿鄰舍的物,本主就要罷休,看守的人不必賠還。
22:12
Quod si furto ablatum fuerit , restituet damnum domino ;
But if it is stolen from him, the one who stole shall make restitution to its owner.
牲畜若從看守的那裏被偷去,他就要賠還本主;
22:13
si comestum a bestia , deferat ad eum quod occisum est , et non restituet .
If it is torn in pieces, let him bring it for evidence. He shall not make good that which was torn.
若被野獸撕碎,看守的要帶來當作證據,所撕的不必賠還。
22:14
Qui a proximo suo quidquam horum mutuo postulaverit , et debilitatum aut mortuum fuerit domino non praesente , reddere compelletur .
“If a man borrows anything of his neighbor’s, and it is injured, or dies, its owner not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
「人若向鄰舍借甚麼,所借的或受傷,或死,本主沒有同在一處,借的人總要賠還;
22:15
Quod si impraesentiarum dominus fuerit , non restituet , maxime si conductum venerat pro mercede operis sui .
If its owner is with it, he shall not make it good. If it is a leased thing, it came for its lease.
若本主同在一處,他就不必賠還;若是雇的,也不必賠還,本是為雇價來的。」
22:16
Si seduxerit quis virginem necdum desponsatam , dormieritque cum ea : dotabit eam , et habebit eam uxorem .
“If a man entices a virgin who isn’t pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
「人若引誘沒有受聘的處女,與她行淫,他總要交出聘禮,娶她為妻。
22:17
Si pater virginis dare noluerit , reddet pecuniam juxta modum dotis , quam virgines accipere consueverunt .
If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
若女子的父親決不肯將女子給他,他就要按處女的聘禮,交出錢來。
22:18
Maleficos non patieris vivere .
“You shall not allow a sorceress to live.
「行邪術的女人,不可容她存活。
22:19
Qui coierit cum jumento , morte moriatur .
“Whoever has sex with an animal shall surely be put to death.
「凡與獸淫合的,總要把他治死。
22:20
Qui immolat diis , occidetur , praeterquam Domino soli .
“He who sacrifices to any god, except to Yahweh only, shall be utterly destroyed.
「祭祀別神,不單單祭祀耶和華的,那人必要滅絕。
22:21
Advenam non contristabis , neque affliges eum : advenae enim et ipsi fuistis in terra Aegypti .
“You shall not wrong an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
「不可虧負寄居的,也不可欺壓他,因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的。
22:22
Viduae et pupillo non nocebitis .
“You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.
不可苦待寡婦和孤兒;
22:23
Si laeseritis eos , vociferabuntur ad me , et ego audiam clamorem eorum :
If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;
若是苦待他們一點,他們向我一哀求,我總要聽他們的哀聲,
22:24
et indignabitur furor meus , percutiamque vos gladio , et erunt uxores vestrae viduae , et filii vestri pupilli .
and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
並要發烈怒,用刀殺你們,使你們的妻子為寡婦,兒女為孤兒。
22:25
Si pecuniam mutuam dederis populo meo pauperi qui habitat tecum , non urgebis eum quasi exactor , nec usuris opprimes .
“If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest.
「我民中有貧窮人與你同住,你若借錢給他,不可如放債的向他取利。
22:26
Si pignus a proximo tuo acceperis vestimentum , ante solis occasum reddes ei .
If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,
你即或拿鄰舍的衣服作當頭,必在日落以先歸還他;
22:27
Ipsum enim est solum , quo operitur , indumentum carnis ejus , nec habet aliud in quo dormiat : si clamaverit ad me , exaudiam eum , quia misericors sum .
for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
因他只有這一件當蓋頭,是他蓋身的衣服,若是沒有,他拿甚麼睡覺呢?他哀求我,我就應允,因為我是有恩惠的。
22:28
Diis non detrahes , et principi populi tui non maledices .
“You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
「不可毀謗上帝;也不可毀謗你百姓的官長。
22:29
Decimas tuas et primitias tuas non tardabis reddere : primogenitum filiorum tuorum dabis mihi .
“You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. “You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.
「你要從你莊稼中的穀和酒醡中滴出來的酒拿來獻上,不可遲延。 「你要將頭生的兒子歸給我。
22:30
De bobus quoque , et ovibus similiter facies : septem diebus sit cum matre sua , die octava reddes illum mihi .
You shall do likewise with your cattle and with your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days, then on the eighth day you shall give it to me.
你牛羊頭生的,也要這樣;七天當跟着母,第八天要歸給我。
22:31
Viri sancti eritis mihi : carnem , quae a bestiis fuerit praegustata , non comedetis , sed projicietis canibus .
“You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any meat that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.
「你們要在我面前為聖潔的人。因此,田間被野獸撕裂牲畜的肉,你們不可吃,要丟給狗吃。」
