40:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen , dicens :
ወተናገሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
40:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּיוֹם ־הַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ תָּקִ֕ים אֶת ־מִשְׁכַּ֖ן אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד ׃
ἐν ἡμέρᾳ μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου νουμηνίᾳ στήσεις τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου
Mense primo , prima die mensis , eriges tabernaculum testimonii ,
አመ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ሠርቅ ፡ ዘቀዳሚ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ትተክላ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ መርጡል ።
“On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
40:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ שָׁ֔ם אֵ֖ת אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵד֑וּת וְסַכֹּתָ֥ עַל ־הָאָרֹ֖ן אֶת ־הַפָּרֹֽכֶת ׃
καὶ θήσεις τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ σκεπάσεις τὴν κιβωτὸν τῷ καταπετάσματι
et pones in eo arcam , dimittesque ante illam velum :
ወታነብ [ራ ] ፡ ለታቦተ ፡ መርጡል ፡ ወትከድና ፡ ለታቦት ፡ በመንጦላዕት ።
You shall put the ark of the covenant in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.
40:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהֵבֵאתָ֙ אֶת ־הַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ן וְעָרַכְתָּ֖ אֶת ־עֶרְכּ֑וֹ וְהֵבֵאתָ֙ אֶת ־הַמְּנֹרָ֔ה וְהַעֲלֵיתָ֖ אֶת ־נֵרֹתֶֽיהָ ׃
καὶ εἰσοίσεις τὴν τράπεζαν καὶ προθήσεις τὴν πρόθεσιν αὐτῆς καὶ εἰσοίσεις τὴν λυχνίαν καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς
et illata mensa , pones super eam quae rite praecepta sunt . Candelabrum stabit cum lucernis suis ,
ወታበውእ ፡ ማእደ ፡ ወትሠርዓ ፡ በሥርዐታ ፡ ወታበውእ ፡ መናረተ ፡ ወትሠርዕ ፡ መኃትዊሃ ።
You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the lamp stand, and light its lamps.
40:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָתַתָּ֞ה אֶת ־מִזְבַּ֤ח הַזָּהָב֙ לִקְטֹ֔רֶת לִפְנֵ֖י אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵדֻ֑ת וְשַׂמְתָּ֛ אֶת ־מָסַ֥ךְ הַפֶּ֖תַח לַמִּשְׁכָּֽן ׃
καὶ θήσεις τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν εἰς τὸ θυμιᾶν ἐναντίον τῆς κιβωτοῦ καὶ ἐπιθήσεις κάλυμμα καταπετάσματος ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου
et altare aureum , in quo adoletur incensum , coram arca testimonii . Tentorium in introitu tabernaculi pones ,
ወታነብር ፡ ማዕጠንተ ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ በዘየዐጥኑ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ታቦት ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወትወዲ ፡ መንጦላዕተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኆኅተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ።
You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the covenant, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
40:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔ה אֵ֖ת מִזְבַּ֣ח הָעֹלָ֑ה לִפְנֵ֕י פֶּ֖תַח מִשְׁכַּ֥ן אֹֽהֶל ־מוֹעֵֽד ׃
καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν καρπωμάτων θήσεις παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου
et ante illud altare holocausti :
ወምሥዋ [ዐ ] ፡ ዘውስቴቱ ፡ ይሠውዑ ፡ ታነብር ፡ መንገለ ፡ ኆኅተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወትተክል ፡ ዐውደ ፡ ዐጸዱ ።
“You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
40:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָֽתַתָּ֙ אֶת ־הַכִּיֹּ֔ר בֵּֽין ־אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד וּבֵ֣ין הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וְנָתַתָּ֥ שָׁ֖ם מָֽיִם ׃
— labrum inter altare et tabernaculum , quod implebis aqua .
ወትነሥእ ፡ ቅብአ ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ይትቀብኡ ፡ ወትቀብኣ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘውስቴታ ፡ ወት [ቄድሳ ] ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ንዋያ ፡ ወትከውን ፡ ቅድስተ ።
You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein.
40:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ אֶת ־הֶחָצֵ֖ר סָבִ֑יב וְנָ֣תַתָּ֔ אֶת ־מָסַ֖ךְ שַׁ֥עַר הֶחָצֵֽר ׃
καὶ περιθήσεις τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτῆς ἁγιάσεις κύκλῳ
Circumdabisque atrium tentoriis , et ingressum ejus .
ወትቀብእ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ዘውስቴቱ ፡ ይሠውዑ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ንዋዮ ።
You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
40:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלָקַחְתָּ֙ אֶת ־שֶׁ֣מֶן הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֶת ־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁר ־בּ֑וֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹת֛וֹ וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־כֵּלָ֖יו וְהָ֥יָה קֹֽדֶשׁ ׃
καὶ λήμψῃ τὸ ἔλαιον τοῦ χρίσματος καὶ χρίσεις τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ ἔσται ἁγία
Et assumpto unctionis oleo unges tabernaculum cum vasis suis , ut sanctificentur :
ወትቄድሶ ፡ ለምሥዋዕ ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ምሥዋዕ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ ለቅዱሳን ።
“You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture, and it will be holy.
40:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֛ אֶת ־מִזְבַּ֥ח הָעֹלָ֖ה וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־כֵּלָ֑יו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֙ אֶת ־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וְהָיָ֥ה הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ קֹ֥דֶשׁ קׇֽדָשִֽׁים ׃
καὶ χρίσεις τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν καρπωμάτων καὶ πάντα αὐτοῦ τὰ σκεύη καὶ ἁγιάσεις τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἔσται τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων
altare holocausti et omnia vasa ejus ,
ወታ [መ ]ጽኦሙ ፡ ለአሮን ፡ ወለደቂቁ ፡ ኆኅተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወተኀፅቦሙ ፡ በማይ ።
You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar, and the altar will be most holy.
40:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֶת ־הַכִּיֹּ֖ר וְאֶת ־כַּנּ֑וֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֖ אֹתֽוֹ ׃
— labrum cum basi sua : omnia unctionis oleo consecrabis , ut sint Sancta sanctorum .
ወታለብሶ ፡ ለአሮን ፡ አልባሰ ፡ ቅድሳት ፡ ወትቀብኦ ፡ ወትቄድሶ ፡ ወይከውነኒ ፡ ካህነ ።
You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.
40:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֤ אֶֽת ־אַהֲרֹן֙ וְאֶת ־בָּנָ֔יו אֶל ־פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְרָחַצְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם בַּמָּֽיִם ׃
καὶ προσάξεις Ααρων καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ λούσεις αὐτοὺς ὕδατι
Applicabisque Aaron et filios ejus ad fores tabernaculi testimonii , et lotos aqua
ወታመጽእ ፡ ደቂቆኒ ፡ ወታለብሶሙ ፡ ውእተ ፡ አልባሰ ።
“You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.
40:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֙ אֶֽת ־אַהֲרֹ֔ן אֵ֖ת בִּגְדֵ֣י הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֹת֛וֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹת֖וֹ וְכִהֵ֥ן לִֽי ׃
καὶ ἐνδύσεις Ααρων τὰς στολὰς τὰς ἁγίας καὶ χρίσεις αὐτὸν καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτόν καὶ ἱερατεύσει μοι
indues sanctis vestibus , ut ministrent mihi , et unctio eorum in sacerdotium sempiternum proficiat .
ወትቀብኦሙ ፡ በከመ ፡ ቀባእከ ፡ አባሆሙ ፡ ወይከውኑኒ ፡ ካህናተ ፡ ወይከውኖሙ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ቅብአት ፡ ለክህነት ፡ በመዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ ለዓለም ።
You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.
40:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־בָּנָ֖יו תַּקְרִ֑יב וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם כֻּתֳּנֹֽת ׃
καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ προσάξεις καὶ ἐνδύσεις αὐτοὺς χιτῶνας
Fecitque Moyses omnia quae praeceperat Dominus .
ወገብረ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘአዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብረ ።
You shall bring his sons, and put tunics on them.
40:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֣ אֹתָ֗ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר מָשַׁ֙חְתָּ֙ אֶת ־אֲבִיהֶ֔ם וְכִהֲנ֖וּ לִ֑י וְ֠הָיְתָ֠ה לִהְיֹ֨ת לָהֶ֧ם מׇשְׁחָתָ֛ם לִכְהֻנַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם לְדֹרֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ ἀλείψεις αὐτούς ὃν τρόπον ἤλειψας τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν καὶ ἱερατεύσουσίν μοι καὶ ἔσται ὥστε εἶναι αὐτοῖς χρῖσμα ἱερατείας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα εἰς τὰς γενεὰς αὐτῶν
Igitur mense primo anni secundi , prima die mensis , collocatum est tabernaculum .
ወኮነ ፡ በቀዳሚ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ በካልእት ፡ ዓመት ፡ እምዘ ፡ ወፅኡ ፡ እምግብጽ ፡ አመ ፡ ርእሳ ፡ ለሠርቀ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ተከልዋ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ ደብተራ ።
You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
40:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֖עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֑ה כְּ֠כֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה אֹת֖וֹ כֵּ֥ן עָשָֽׂה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος οὕτως ἐποίησεν
Erexitque Moyses illud , et posuit tabulas ac bases et vectes , statuitque columnas ,
ወተከላ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ ወአስተናበረ ፡ አርእስቲሃ ፡ ወወደየ ፡ መናስግቲሃ ፡ ወአቀመ ፡ አዕማዲሃ ።
Moses did so. According to all that Yahweh commanded him, so he did.
40:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֞י בַּחֹ֧דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֛וֹן בַּשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ הוּקַ֖ם הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πρώτῳ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἔτει ἐκπορευομένων αὐτῶν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου νουμηνίᾳ ἐστάθη ἡ σκηνή
et expandit tectum super tabernaculum , imposito desuper operimento , sicut Dominus imperaverat .
ወሰፍሐ ፡ አዕጻዲሃ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ ወወደየ ፡ መክደና ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ መልዕልቴሃ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ።
In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.
40:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֨קֶם מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶת ־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֗ן וַיִּתֵּן֙ אֶת ־אֲדָנָ֔יו וַיָּ֙שֶׂם֙ אֶת ־קְרָשָׁ֔יו וַיִּתֵּ֖ן אֶת ־בְּרִיחָ֑יו וַיָּ֖קֶם אֶת ־עַמּוּדָֽיו ׃
καὶ ἔστησεν Μωυσῆς τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς κεφαλίδας καὶ διενέβαλεν τοὺς μοχλοὺς καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς στύλους
Posuit et testimonium in arca , subditis infra vectibus , et oraculum desuper .
ወነሥኦን ፡ ለመጻሕፍተ ፡ ትእዛዝ ፡ ወወደዮን ፡ ውስጠ ፡ ወአንበረ ፡ መጻውርቲሁኒ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ታቦት ።
Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
40:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּפְרֹ֤שׂ אֶת ־הָאֹ֙הֶל֙ עַל ־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן וַיָּ֜שֶׂם אֶת ־מִכְסֵ֥ה הָאֹ֛הֶל עָלָ֖יו מִלְמָ֑עְלָה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐξέτεινεν τὰς αὐλαίας ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς σκηνῆς ἐπ’ αὐτῆς ἄνωθεν καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
Cumque intulisset arcam in tabernaculum , appendit ante eam velum ut expleret Domini jussionem .
ወአብኣ ፡ ለታቦት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ወወደየ ፡ መክደነ ፡ መንጦላዕተ ፡ ወሰወራ ፡ ለታቦተ ፡ መርጡል ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ።
He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקַּ֞ח וַיִּתֵּ֤ן אֶת ־הָעֵדֻת֙ אֶל ־הָ֣אָרֹ֔ן וַיָּ֥שֶׂם אֶת ־הַבַּדִּ֖ים עַל ־הָאָרֹ֑ן וַיִּתֵּ֧ן אֶת ־הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת עַל ־הָאָרֹ֖ן מִלְמָֽעְלָה ׃
καὶ λαβὼν τὰ μαρτύρια ἐνέβαλεν εἰς τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ ὑπέθηκεν τοὺς διωστῆρας ὑπὸ τὴν κιβωτὸν
Posuit et mensam in tabernaculo testimonii ad plagam septentrionalem extra velum ,
ወአንበራ ፡ ለማእድ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ መንገለ ፡ ገቦሃ ፡ ዘመስዕ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ መርጡል ፡ እምአፍአሁ ፡ ለመንጦላዕተ ፡ ደብተራ ።
He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.
40:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּבֵ֣א אֶת ־הָאָרֹן֮ אֶל ־הַמִּשְׁכָּן֒ וַיָּ֗שֶׂם אֵ֚ת פָּרֹ֣כֶת הַמָּסָ֔ךְ וַיָּ֕סֶךְ עַ֖ל אֲר֣וֹן הָעֵד֑וּת כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν τὴν κιβωτὸν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὸ κατακάλυμμα τοῦ καταπετάσματος καὶ ἐσκέπασεν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
ordinatis coram propositionis panibus , sicut praeceperat Dominus Moysi .
ወሠርዐ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ ዘቍርባን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ።
He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּתֵּ֤ן אֶת ־הַשֻּׁלְחָן֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד עַ֛ל יֶ֥רֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן צָפֹ֑נָה מִח֖וּץ לַפָּרֹֽכֶת ׃
καὶ ἔθηκεν τὴν τράπεζαν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐπὶ τὸ κλίτος τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου τὸ πρὸς βορρᾶν ἔξωθεν τοῦ καταπετάσματος τῆς σκηνῆς
Posuit et candelabrum in tabernaculo testimonii e regione mensae in parte australi ,
ወአንበራ ፡ ለመናረት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገቦሃ ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ አዜብ ፡ ለደብተራ ።
He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.
40:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּעֲרֹ֥ךְ עָלָ֛יו עֵ֥רֶךְ לֶ֖חֶם לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
καὶ προέθηκεν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως ἔναντι κυρίου ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
locatis per ordinem lucernis , juxta praeceptum Domini .
ወሠርዐ ፡ መኃትዊሃ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ።
He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֤שֶׂם אֶת ־הַמְּנֹרָה֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד נֹ֖כַח הַשֻּׁלְחָ֑ן עַ֛ל יֶ֥רֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן נֶֽגְבָּה ׃
καὶ ἔθηκεν τὴν λυχνίαν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου εἰς τὸ κλίτος τῆς σκηνῆς τὸ πρὸς νότον
Posuit et altare aureum sub tecto testimonii contra velum ,
ወአንበረ ፡ ማዕጠንተ ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ቅድመ ፡ መንጦላዕት ።
He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.
40:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֥עַל הַנֵּרֹ֖ת לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς ἔναντι κυρίου ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
et adolevit super eo incensum aromatum , sicut jusserat Dominus Moysi .
ወዐጠነ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ዕጣነ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ።
He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֛שֶׂם אֶת ־מִזְבַּ֥ח הַזָּהָ֖ב בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד לִפְנֵ֖י הַפָּרֹֽכֶת ׃
καὶ ἔθηκεν τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἀπέναντι τοῦ καταπετάσματος
Posuit et tentorium in introitu tabernaculi testimonii ,
ወምሥዋዕሰ ፡ ዘውስቴቱ ፡ ይሠውዑ ፡ [አንበረ ፡] ኀበ ፡ ኆኅተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ።
He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;
40:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּקְטֵ֥ר עָלָ֖יו קְטֹ֣רֶת סַמִּ֑ים כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐθυμίασεν ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ τὸ θυμίαμα τῆς συνθέσεως καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
et altare holocausti in vestibulo testimonii , offerens in eo holocaustum , et sacrificia , ut Dominus imperaverat .
ወተከለ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ዐውደ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ወዐውደ ፡ ምሥዋዕ ፡ ወፈጸመ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ግብሮ ።
and he burned incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֛שֶׂם אֶת ־מָסַ֥ךְ הַפֶּ֖תַח לַמִּשְׁכָּֽן ׃
— Labrum quoque statuit inter tabernaculum testimonii et altare , implens illud aqua .
ወከደና ፡ ደመና ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ መርጡል ፡ ወስብሐተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተመልአት ፡ ደብተራ ።
He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
40:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵת֙ מִזְבַּ֣ח הָעֹלָ֔ה שָׂ֕ם פֶּ֖תַח מִשְׁכַּ֣ן אֹֽהֶל ־מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיַּ֣עַל עָלָ֗יו אֶת ־הָעֹלָה֙ וְאֶת ־הַמִּנְחָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν καρπωμάτων ἔθηκεν παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς
Laveruntque Moyses et Aaron ac filii ejus manus suas et pedes ,
ወስእነ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በዊአ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ መርጡል ፡ እስመ ፡ ጸለለ ፡ ደመና ፡ ወስብሐተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተመልአት ፡ ደብተራ ።
He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֙שֶׂם֙ אֶת ־הַכִּיֹּ֔ר בֵּֽין ־אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד וּבֵ֣ין הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּתֵּ֥ן שָׁ֛מָּה מַ֖יִם לְרׇחְצָֽה ׃
— cum ingrederentur tectum foederis , et accederent ad altare , sicut praeceperat Dominus Moysi .
ወእምከመ ፡ ሰሰለ ፡ ደመና ፡ እምላዕለ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ይግዕዙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በመንገዶሙ ።
He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.
40:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְרָחֲצ֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן וּבָנָ֑יו אֶת ־יְדֵיהֶ֖ם וְאֶת ־רַגְלֵיהֶֽם ׃
— Erexit et atrium per gyrum tabernaculi et altaris , ducto in introitu ejus tentorio . Postquam omnia perfecta sunt ,
ወእመሰ ፡ ኢሰሰለ ፡ ደመና ፡ ኢይግዕዙ ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ይሴስል ፡ ደመና ።
Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.
40:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּבֹאָ֞ם אֶל ־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֗ד וּבְקׇרְבָתָ֛ם אֶל ־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ יִרְחָ֑צוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃ {ס}
— operuit nubes tabernaculum testimonii , et gloria Domini implevit illud .
እስመ ፡ ደመና ፡ ይነብር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ መዓልተ ፡ ወእሳት ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በኵልሄ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ግዕዙ ።ተፈጸመ ፡ ኦሪት ፡ ዘፀአት ።
When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
40:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֣קֶם אֶת ־הֶחָצֵ֗ר סָבִיב֙ לַמִּשְׁכָּ֣ן וְלַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וַיִּתֵּ֕ן אֶת ־מָסַ֖ךְ שַׁ֣עַר הֶחָצֵ֑ר וַיְכַ֥ל מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶת ־הַמְּלָאכָֽה ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἔστησεν τὴν αὐλὴν κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ συνετέλεσεν Μωυσῆς πάντα τὰ ἔργα
Nec poterat Moyses ingredi tectum foederis , nube operiente omnia , et majestate Domini coruscante , quia cuncta nubes operuerat .
— He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
40:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְכַ֥ס הֶעָנָ֖ן אֶת ־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וּכְב֣וֹד יְהֹוָ֔ה מָלֵ֖א אֶת ־הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן ׃
καὶ ἐκάλυψεν ἡ νεφέλη τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ δόξης κυρίου ἐπλήσθη ἡ σκηνή
Siquando nubes tabernaculum deserebat , proficiscebantur filii Israël per turmas suas :
— Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.
40:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹא ־יָכֹ֣ל מֹשֶׁ֗ה לָבוֹא֙ אֶל ־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד כִּֽי ־שָׁכַ֥ן עָלָ֖יו הֶעָנָ֑ן וּכְב֣וֹד יְהֹוָ֔ה מָלֵ֖א אֶת ־הַמִּשְׁכָּֽן ׃
καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθη Μωυσῆς εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου ὅτι ἐπεσκίαζεν ἐπ’ αὐτὴν ἡ νεφέλη καὶ δόξης κυρίου ἐπλήσθη ἡ σκηνή
si pendebat desuper , manebant in eodem loco .
— Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.
40:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבְהֵעָל֤וֹת הֶֽעָנָן֙ מֵעַ֣ל הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן יִסְע֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בְּכֹ֖ל מַסְעֵיהֶֽם ׃
ἡνίκα δ’ ἂν ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη ἀπὸ τῆς σκηνῆς ἀνεζεύγνυσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ σὺν τῇ ἀπαρτίᾳ αὐτῶν
Nubes quippe Domini incubabat per diem tabernaculo , et ignis in nocte , videntibus cunctis populis Israël per cunctas mansiones suas .
— When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;
40:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאִם ־לֹ֥א יֵעָלֶ֖ה הֶעָנָ֑ן וְלֹ֣א יִסְע֔וּ עַד ־י֖וֹם הֵעָלֹתֽוֹ ׃
εἰ δὲ μὴ ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη οὐκ ἀνεζεύγνυσαν ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἧς ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη
— — but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.
40:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי֩ עֲנַ֨ן יְהֹוָ֤ה עַֽל ־הַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ יוֹמָ֔ם וְאֵ֕שׁ תִּהְיֶ֥ה לַ֖יְלָה בּ֑וֹ לְעֵינֵ֥י כׇל ־בֵּֽית ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּכׇל ־מַסְעֵיהֶֽם ׃
νεφέλη γὰρ ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς ἡμέρας καὶ πῦρ ἦν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς νυκτὸς ἐναντίον παντὸς Ισραηλ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἀναζυγαῖς αὐτῶν
— — For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
