10:1
ה֥וֹי הַחֹֽקְקִ֖ים חִקְקֵי־אָ֑וֶן וּֽמְכַתְּבִ֥ים עָמָ֖ל כִּתֵּֽבוּ׃
οὐαὶ τοῖς γράφουσιν πονηρίαν γράφοντες γὰρ πονηρίαν γράφουσιν
Vae qui condunt leges iniquas, et scribentes injustitiam scripserunt,
አሌ፡ ሎሙ፡ ለእለ፡ ይጽሕፉ፡ እኩየ፡ መጽሐፈ።
Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees
10:2
לְהַטּ֤וֹת מִדִּין֙ דַּלִּ֔ים וְלִגְזֹ֕ל מִשְׁפַּ֖ט עֲנִיֵּ֣י עַמִּ֑י לִֽהְי֤וֹת אַלְמָנוֹת֙ שְׁלָלָ֔ם וְאֶת־יְתוֹמִ֖ים יָבֹֽזּוּ׃
ἐκκλίνοντες κρίσιν πτωχῶν ἁρπάζοντες κρίμα πενήτων τοῦ λαοῦ μου ὥστε εἶναι αὐτοῖς χήραν εἰς ἁρπαγὴν καὶ ὀρφανὸν εἰς προνομήν
ut opprimerent in judicio pauperes, et vim facerent causae humilium populi mei ; ut essent viduae praeda eorum, et pupillos diriperent.
ወይመይጡ፡ ፍትሐ፡ ነዳይ፤ ወይመይጡ፡ ፍትሐ፡ ምስኪን፡ ሕዝብየ፤ ወየሀይዱ፡ እቤረ፡ ወይበረብሩ፡ እጓለ፡ ማውታ።
to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
10:3
וּמַֽה־תַּעֲשׂוּ֙ לְי֣וֹם פְּקֻדָּ֔ה וּלְשׁוֹאָ֖ה מִמֶּרְחָ֣ק תָּב֑וֹא עַל־מִי֙ תָּנ֣וּסוּ לְעֶזְרָ֔ה וְאָ֥נָה תַעַזְב֖וּ כְּבוֹדְכֶֽם׃
καὶ τί ποιήσουσιν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς ἡ γὰρ θλῖψις ὑμῖν πόρρωθεν ἥξει καὶ πρὸς τίνα καταφεύξεσθε τοῦ βοηθηθῆναι καὶ ποῦ καταλείψετε τὴν δόξαν ὑμῶν
Quid facietis in die visitationis, et calamitatis de longe venientis ? ad cujus confugietis auxilium ? et ubi derelinquetis gloriam vestram,
ወምንተ፡ ይሬስዩ፡ አመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ፍዳሆሙ፡ እስመ፡ እምርኁቅ፡ ይመጽኦሙ፡ ምንዳቤሆሙ፤ ወኀበ፡ መኑ፡ ትትመሐፀኑ፡ ወመኑ፡ ዘይረድአክሙ፤ ወአይቴ፡ ተኀደድጉ፡ ትርሲተክሙ።
What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?
10:4
בִּלְתִּ֤י כָרַע֙ תַּ֣חַת אַסִּ֔יר וְתַ֥חַת הֲרוּגִ֖ים יִפֹּ֑לוּ בְּכׇל־זֹאת֙ לֹא־שָׁ֣ב אַפּ֔וֹ וְע֖וֹד יָד֥וֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃ {פ}
τοῦ μὴ ἐμπεσεῖν εἰς ἐπαγωγήν ἐπὶ πᾶσι τούτοις οὐκ ἀπεστράφη ὁ θυμός ἀλλ’ ἔτι ἡ χεὶρ ὑψηλή
ne incurvemini sub vinculo, et cum interfectis cadatis ? Super omnibus his non est aversus furor ejus, sed adhuc manus ejus extenta.
ከመ፡ ኢትደቁ፡ ውስተ፡ ኃሣር፤ ወበዝኒ፡ ኵሉ፡ ኢተመይጠት፡ መዓቱ፤ ዓዲ፡ እድሂ፡ ልዕልት።
They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
10:5
ה֥וֹי אַשּׁ֖וּר שֵׁ֣בֶט אַפִּ֑י וּמַטֶּה־ה֥וּא בְיָדָ֖ם זַעְמִֽי׃
οὐαὶ Ἀσσυρίοις ἡ ῥάβδος τοῦ θυμοῦ μου καὶ ὀργῆς ἐστιν ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶν
Vae Assur ! virga furoris mei et baculus ipse est ; in manu eorum indignatio mea.
አሌ፡ ሎሙ፡ ለፋርስ፤ በትረ፡ መዓትየ፡ ወመንሱት፡ ውስተ፡ እዴሆሙ።
Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!
10:6
בְּג֤וֹי חָנֵף֙ אֲשַׁלְּחֶ֔נּוּ וְעַל־עַ֥ם עֶבְרָתִ֖י אֲצַוֶּ֑נּוּ לִשְׁלֹ֤ל שָׁלָל֙ וְלָבֹ֣ז בַּ֔ז (ולשימו) [וּלְשׂוּמ֥וֹ] מִרְמָ֖ס כְּחֹ֥מֶר חוּצֽוֹת׃
τὴν ὀργήν μου εἰς ἔθνος ἄνομον ἀποστελῶ καὶ τῷ ἐμῷ λαῷ συντάξω ποιῆσαι σκῦλα καὶ προνομὴν καὶ καταπατεῖν τὰς πόλεις καὶ θεῖναι αὐτὰς εἰς κονιορτόν
Ad gentem fallacem mittam eum, et contra populum furoris mei mandabo illi, ut auferat spolia, et diripiat praedam, et ponat illum in conculcationem quasi lutum platearum.
ወእፌኑ፡ መቅሠፍትየ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ኃጥኣን፤ ወእኤዝዞሙ፡ ለሕዝብየ፡ ከመ፡ ይበርብርዎሙ፡ ወየሐብልይዎሙ፡ ወይኪድዎን፡ ለአህጉሪሆሙ፡ ወይረስይዎን፡ ከመ፡ ጸበል።
I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
10:7
וְהוּא֙ לֹא־כֵ֣ן יְדַמֶּ֔ה וּלְבָב֖וֹ לֹא־כֵ֣ן יַחְשֹׁ֑ב כִּ֚י לְהַשְׁמִ֣יד בִּלְבָב֔וֹ וּלְהַכְרִ֥ית גּוֹיִ֖ם לֹ֥א מְעָֽט׃
αὐτὸς δὲ οὐχ οὕτως ἐνεθυμήθη καὶ τῇ ψυχῇ οὐχ οὕτως λελόγισται ἀλλὰ ἀπαλλάξει ὁ νοῦς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἔθνη ἐξολεθρεῦσαι οὐκ ὀλίγα
Ipse autem non sic arbitrabitur, et cor ejus non ita existimabit ; sed ad conterendum erit cor ejus, et ad internecionem gentium non paucarum.
ውእቱሂ፡ አኮ፡ በከመ፡ ተሐዘብዎ፡ በልብ፡ ወበነፍሱሂ፣፡ አኮ፡ በከመ፡ ሐለይዎ፤ ዳእሙ፡ ይሤሩ፡ አሕዛበ፡ ብዙኃነ፡ በምክሩ።
However, he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.
10:8
כִּ֖י יֹאמַ֑ר הֲלֹ֥א שָׂרַ֛י יַחְדָּ֖ו מְלָכִֽים׃
καὶ ἐὰν εἴπωσιν αὐτῷ σὺ μόνος εἶ ἄρχων
Dicet enim :
ወእመኒ፡ ይቤልዎ፤ ባሕቲትከኑ፡ መልአክ፡ አንተ።
For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?
10:9
הֲלֹ֥א כְּכַרְכְּמִ֖ישׁ כַּלְנ֑וֹ אִם־לֹ֤א כְאַרְפַּד֙ חֲמָ֔ת אִם־לֹ֥א כְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק שֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃
καὶ ἐρεῖ οὐκ ἔλαβον τὴν χώραν τὴν ἐπάνω Βαβυλῶνος καὶ Χαλαννη οὗ ὁ πύργος ᾠκοδομήθη καὶ ἔλαβον Ἀραβίαν καὶ Δαμασκὸν καὶ Σαμάρειαν
Numquid non principes mei simul reges sunt ? numquid non ut Charcamis, sic Calano ? et ut Arphad, sic Emath ? numquid non ut Damascus, sic Samaria ?
ወይብል፤ ኢነሣእኩ፡ ብሔረ፡ ዘመልዕልተ፡ ባቢሎን፡ ወካልአኒ፡ ኀበ፡ ተሐንጸ፡ ማኅፈዳ፤ ወነሣእኩ፡ ዐረብ፡ ወደማስቆ፡ ወሰማርያ።
Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”
10:10
כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ מָצְאָ֣ה יָדִ֔י לְמַמְלְכֹ֖ת הָאֱלִ֑יל וּפְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם מִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וּמִשֹּׁמְרֽוֹן׃
ὃν τρόπον ταύτας ἔλαβον ἐν τῇ χειρί μου καὶ πάσας τὰς ἀρχὰς λήμψομαι ὀλολύξατε τὰ γλυπτὰ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐν Σαμαρείᾳ
Quomodo invenit manus mea regna idoli, sic et simulacra eorum de Jerusalem et de Samaria.
ወከመ፡ ነሣእኩ፡ እሎንተ፡ ከማሁ፡ እነሥእ፡ ኵሎ፡ በሐውርተ።
As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,
10:11
הֲלֹ֗א כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֛יתִי לְשֹׁמְר֖וֹן וְלֶאֱלִילֶ֑יהָ כֵּ֛ן אֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה לִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וְלַעֲצַבֶּֽיהָ׃ {פ}
ὃν τρόπον γὰρ ἐποίησα Σαμαρείᾳ καὶ τοῖς χειροποιήτοις αὐτῆς οὕτως ποιήσω καὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τοῖς εἰδώλοις αὐτῆς
Numquid non sicut feci Samariae et idolis ejus, sic faciam Jerusalem et simulacris ejus ?
ወበከመ፡ ረሰይክዋ፡ ለሰማርያ፡ ወለግብረ፡ እደዊሃ፡ ከማሁ፡ እሬስያ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌምኒ፡ ወለጣዖታ።
shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
10:12
וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי־יְבַצַּ֤ע אֲדֹנָי֙ אֶת־כׇּל־מַֽעֲשֵׂ֔הוּ בְּהַ֥ר צִיּ֖וֹן וּבִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם אֶפְקֹ֗ד עַל־פְּרִֽי־גֹ֙דֶל֙ לְבַ֣ב מֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֔וּר וְעַל־תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת ר֥וּם עֵינָֽיו׃
καὶ ἔσται ὅταν συντελέσῃ κύριος πάντα ποιῶν ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σιων καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἐπάξει ἐπὶ τὸν νοῦν τὸν μέγαν τὸν ἄρχοντα τῶν Ἀσσυρίων καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ὕψος τῆς δόξης τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ
Et erit, cum impleverit Dominus cuncta opera sua in monte Sion et in Jerusalem, visitabo super fructum magnifici cordis regis Assur, et super gloriam altitudinis oculorum ejus.
ወእምዝ፡ ፈጺሞ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘንተ፡ ኵሎ፡ ገቢረ፡ በደብረ፡ ጽዮን፡ ወበኢየሩሳሌም፣፡ ይመጽእ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ዘያዐቢ፡ ልቦ፡ ላዕለ፡ መልአከ፡ ፋርስ፡ ወዲበ፡ አዕይንቲሁ፡ ወዲበ፡ ትርሲቱ።
Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.
10:13
כִּ֣י אָמַ֗ר בְּכֹ֤חַ יָדִי֙ עָשִׂ֔יתִי וּבְחׇכְמָתִ֖י כִּ֣י נְבֻנ֑וֹתִי וְאָסִ֣יר׀ גְּבוּלֹ֣ת עַמִּ֗ים (ועתידתיהם) [וַעֲתֽוּדֹתֵיהֶם֙] שׁוֹשֵׂ֔תִי וְאוֹרִ֥יד כַּאבִּ֖יר יוֹשְׁבִֽים׃
εἶπεν γάρ τῇ ἰσχύι ποιήσω καὶ τῇ σοφίᾳ τῆς συνέσεως ἀφελῶ ὅρια ἐθνῶν καὶ τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτῶν προνομεύσω καὶ σείσω πόλεις κατοικουμένας
Dixit enim : In fortitudine manus meae feci, et in sapientia mea intellexi ; et abstuli terminos populorum, et principes eorum depraedatus sum, et detraxi quasi potens in sublimi residentes.
እስመ፡ ይቤ፤ በኃይልየ፡ እገብር፡ ወበምክረ፡ ጥበብየ፡ እነሥእ፡ በሐውርተ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወእበረብሮ፡ ለኃይሎሙ።
For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.
10:14
וַתִּמְצָ֨א כַקֵּ֤ן׀יָדִי֙ לְחֵ֣יל הָעַמִּ֔ים וְכֶֽאֱסֹף֙ בֵּיצִ֣ים עֲזֻב֔וֹת כׇּל־הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲנִ֣י אָסָ֑פְתִּי וְלֹ֤א הָיָה֙ נֹדֵ֣ד כָּנָ֔ף וּפֹצֶ֥ה פֶ֖ה וּמְצַפְצֵֽף׃
καὶ τὴν οἰκουμένην ὅλην καταλήμψομαι τῇ χειρὶ ὡς νοσσιὰν καὶ ὡς καταλελειμμένα ᾠὰ ἀρῶ καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὃς διαφεύξεταί με ἢ ἀντείπῃ μοι
Et invenit quasi nidum manus mea fortitudinem populorum ; et sicut colliguntur ova quae derelicta sunt, sic universam terram ego congregavi ; et non fuit qui moveret pennam, et aperiret os, et ganniret.
ወአድለቀልቆን፡ ለአህጉር፡ እለ፡ ውስቴቱ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ወአስተጋብእ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዓለመ፡ ወእትሜጠዋ፡ በእዴየ፡ ከመ፡ ሕፃን፡ ወከመ፡ አንቆቅሖ፣፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘያመሥጠኒ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘይትዋሥአኒ።
My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”
10:15
הֲיִתְפָּאֵר֙ הַגַּרְזֶ֔ן עַ֖ל הַחֹצֵ֣ב בּ֑וֹ אִם־יִתְגַּדֵּ֤ל הַמַּשּׂוֹר֙ עַל־מְנִיפ֔וֹ כְּהָנִ֥יף שֵׁ֙בֶט֙ וְאֶת־מְרִימָ֔יו כְּהָרִ֥ים מַטֶּ֖ה לֹא־עֵֽץ׃ {פ}
μὴ δοξασθήσεται ἀξίνη ἄνευ τοῦ κόπτοντος ἐν αὐτῇ ἢ ὑψωθήσεται πρίων ἄνευ τοῦ ἕλκοντος αὐτόν ὡσαύτως ἐάν τις ἄρῃ ῥάβδον ἢ ξύλον
Numquid gloriabitur securis contra eum qui secat in ea ? aut exaltabitur serra contra eum a quo trahitur ? Quomodo si elevetur virga contra elevantem se, et exaltetur baculus, qui utique lignum est.
ይንእድዎኑ፡ ለጕድብ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ዘይገዝሙ፡ ቦቱ፤ ይትሌዐልኑ፡ ሞሠርት፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ዘይወሥር፡ ቦቱ፡ ከመ፡ ዘይነሥእ፡ በትረ፡ ወዕፀ።
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
10:16
לָ֠כֵן יְשַׁלַּ֨ח הָאָד֜וֹן יְהֹוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת בְּמִשְׁמַנָּ֖יו רָז֑וֹן וְתַ֧חַת כְּבֹד֛וֹ יֵקַ֥ד יְקֹ֖ד כִּיק֥וֹד אֵֽשׁ׃
καὶ οὐχ οὕτως ἀλλὰ ἀποστελεῖ κύριος σαβαωθ εἰς τὴν σὴν τιμὴν ἀτιμίαν καὶ εἰς τὴν σὴν δόξαν πῦρ καιόμενον καυθήσεται
Propter hoc mittet Dominator, Dominus exercituum, in pinguibus ejus tenuitatem ; et subtus gloriam ejus succensa ardebit quasi combustio ignis.
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ይፌኑ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኃሣረ፡ ዲበ፡ ክብርከ፡ ወእሳተ፡ ዲበ፡ ትርሲትከ፡ ዘይነድድ፡ ወያውዒ።
Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.
10:17
וְהָיָ֤ה אֽוֹר־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְאֵ֔שׁ וּקְדוֹשׁ֖וֹ לְלֶהָבָ֑ה וּבָעֲרָ֗ה וְאָכְלָ֛ה שִׁית֥וֹ וּשְׁמִיר֖וֹ בְּי֥וֹם אֶחָֽד׃
καὶ ἔσται τὸ φῶς τοῦ Ισραηλ εἰς πῦρ καὶ ἁγιάσει αὐτὸν ἐν πυρὶ καιομένῳ καὶ φάγεται ὡσεὶ χόρτον τὴν ὕλην τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ
Et erit lumen Israël in igne, et Sanctus ejus in flamma ; et succendetur, et devorabitur spina ejus et vepres in die una.
ወይከውን፡ ብርሃነ፡ እስራኤል፡ እሳተ፡ ወይትቄደሱ፡ በእሳት፡ ዘይነድድ፡ ወያውዒ፡ ወይበልዕ፡ ዖመ፡ ከመ፡ ሣዕር።
The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
10:18
וּכְב֤וֹד יַעְרוֹ֙ וְכַרְמִלּ֔וֹ מִנֶּ֥פֶשׁ וְעַד־בָּשָׂ֖ר יְכַלֶּ֑ה וְהָיָ֖ה כִּמְסֹ֥ס נֹסֵֽס׃
ἀποσβεσθήσεται τὰ ὄρη καὶ οἱ βουνοὶ καὶ οἱ δρυμοί καὶ καταφάγεται ἀπὸ ψυχῆς ἕως σαρκῶν καὶ ἔσται ὁ φεύγων ὡς ὁ φεύγων ἀπὸ φλογὸς καιομένης
Et gloria saltus ejus, et carmeli ejus, ab anima usque ad carnem consumetur ; et erit terrore profugus.
ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይጠፍኡ፡ አድባር፡ ወአውግር፡ ወዖም፡ ወይበልዕ፡ ነፍሰ፡ ወሥጋ፤ ወይከውን፡ ዘይጐይይ፡ ከመ፡ ዘይጐይይ፡ እምነበልባለ፡ እሳት፡ ዘይነድድ።
He will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.
10:19
וּשְׁאָ֥ר עֵ֛ץ יַעְר֖וֹ מִסְפָּ֣ר יִהְי֑וּ וְנַ֖עַר יִכְתְּבֵֽם׃ {ס}
καὶ οἱ καταλειφθέντες ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ἔσονται ἀριθμός καὶ παιδίον γράψει αὐτούς
Et reliquiae ligni saltus ejus prae paucitate numerabuntur, et puer scribet eos.
ወእለ፡ ተርፉ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ፡ ይከውኑ፡ በኍልቍ፡ ወይጽሕፎሙ፡ ሕፃን።
The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
10:20
וְהָיָ֣ה׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא לֹא־יוֹסִ֨יף ע֜וֹד שְׁאָ֤ר יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וּפְלֵיטַ֣ת בֵּֽית־יַעֲקֹ֔ב לְהִשָּׁעֵ֖ן עַל־מַכֵּ֑הוּ וְנִשְׁעַ֗ן עַל־יְהֹוָ֛ה קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֶּאֱמֶֽת׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ οὐκέτι προστεθήσεται τὸ καταλειφθὲν Ισραηλ καὶ οἱ σωθέντες τοῦ Ιακωβ οὐκέτι μὴ πεποιθότες ὦσιν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀδικήσαντας αὐτούς ἀλλὰ ἔσονται πεποιθότες ἐπὶ τὸν θεὸν τὸν ἅγιον τοῦ Ισραηλ τῇ ἀληθείᾳ
Et erit in die illa : non adjiciet residuum Israël, et hi qui fugerint de domo Jacob, inniti super eo qui percutit eos ; sed innitetur super Dominum, Sanctum Israël, in veritate.
ወይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ኢይትዌሰኩ፡ እንከ፡ እለ፡ ተርፉ፡ እስራኤል፣፡ ወእለሂ፡ ድኅኑ፡ እምያዕቆብ፡ ኢይትአመንዎሙ፡ እንከ፡ ለእለ፡ አስሐትዎሙ፤ ዳእሙ፡ ይትዌከሉ፡ በእግዚአብሔር፡ ቅዱሰ፡ እስራኤል፡ በጽድቅ።
It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
10:21
שְׁאָ֥ר יָשׁ֖וּב שְׁאָ֣ר יַעֲקֹ֑ב אֶל־אֵ֖ל גִּבּֽוֹר׃
καὶ ἔσται τὸ καταλειφθὲν τοῦ Ιακωβ ἐπὶ θεὸν ἰσχύοντα
Reliquiae convertentur ; reliquiae, inquam, Jacob ad Deum fortem.
ወይጸንዑ፡ በእግዚአብሔር፡ እለ፡ ተርፉ፡ እምያዕቆብ።
A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
10:22
כִּ֣י אִם־יִהְיֶ֞ה עַמְּךָ֤ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ כְּח֣וֹל הַיָּ֔ם שְׁאָ֖ר יָשׁ֣וּב בּ֑וֹ כִּלָּי֥וֹן חָר֖וּץ שׁוֹטֵ֥ף צְדָקָֽה׃
καὶ ἐὰν γένηται ὁ λαὸς Ισραηλ ὡς ἡ ἄμμος τῆς θαλάσσης τὸ κατάλειμμα αὐτῶν σωθήσεται λόγον γὰρ συντελῶν καὶ συντέμνων ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ
Si enim fuerit populus tuus, Israël, quasi arena maris, reliquiae convertentur ex eo ; consummatio abbreviata inundabit justitiam.
ወእመ፡ ኮነ፡ ኍልቆሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ከመ፡ ኆፃ፡ ባሕር፣፡ እለ፡ ተርፉ፡ ይድኅኑ።
For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
10:23
כִּ֥י כָלָ֖ה וְנֶחֱרָצָ֑ה אֲדֹנָ֤י יֱהֹוִה֙ צְבָא֔וֹת עֹשֶׂ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ {פ}
ὅτι λόγον συντετμημένον ποιήσει ὁ θεὸς ἐν τῇ οἰκουμένῃ ὅλῃ
Consummationem enim et abbreviationem Dominus Deus exercituum faciet in medio omnis terrae.
እስመ፡ ኅሉቀ፡ ወምቱረ፡ ነገረ፡ በጽድቅ።
For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
10:24
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֤י יֱהֹוִה֙ צְבָא֔וֹת אַל־תִּירָ֥א עַמִּ֛י יֹשֵׁ֥ב צִיּ֖וֹן מֵאַשּׁ֑וּר בַּשֵּׁ֣בֶט יַכֶּ֔כָּה וּמַטֵּ֥הוּ יִשָּֽׂא־עָלֶ֖יךָ בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος σαβαωθ μὴ φοβοῦ ὁ λαός μου οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν Σιων ἀπὸ Ἀσσυρίων ὅτι ἐν ῥάβδῳ πατάξει σε πληγὴν γὰρ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ σὲ τοῦ ἰδεῖν ὁδὸν Αἰγύπτου
Propter hoc, haec dicit Dominus Deus exercituum : Noli timere, populus meus, habitator Sion, ab Assur : in virga percutiet te, et baculum suum levabit super te, in via Aegypti.
በበይነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፤ ኢትፍርሁ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ እለ፡ ትነብሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ጽዮን፡ እምነ፡ ፋርስ፡ እስመ፡ በበትር፡ ይዘብጠከ፤ እስመ፡ መቅሠፍትየ፡ አመጽእ፡ ላዕሌከ፡ ከመ፡ ትርአይ፡ ፍኖተ፡ ግብጽ።
Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.
10:25
כִּי־ע֖וֹד מְעַ֣ט מִזְעָ֑ר וְכָ֣לָה זַ֔עַם וְאַפִּ֖י עַל־תַּבְלִיתָֽם׃
ἔτι γὰρ μικρὸν καὶ παύσεται ἡ ὀργή ὁ δὲ θυμός μου ἐπὶ τὴν βουλὴν αὐτῶν
Adhuc enim paululum modicumque, et consummabitur indignatio et furor meus super scelus eorum.
እስመ፡ ዓዲ፡ ኅዳጠ፡ ወይቈርር፡ መዓትየ፡ ወመቅሠፍትየ፡ ላዕለ፡ ምክሮሙ።
For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”
10:26
וְעוֹרֵ֨ר עָלָ֜יו יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ שׁ֔וֹט כְּמַכַּ֥ת מִדְיָ֖ן בְּצ֣וּר עוֹרֵ֑ב וּמַטֵּ֙הוּ֙ עַל־הַיָּ֔ם וּנְשָׂא֖וֹ בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐπεγερεῖ ὁ θεὸς ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς κατὰ τὴν πληγὴν τὴν Μαδιαμ ἐν τόπῳ θλίψεως καὶ ὁ θυμὸς αὐτοῦ τῇ ὁδῷ τῇ κατὰ θάλασσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν τὴν κατ’ Αἴγυπτον
Et suscitabit super eum Dominus exercituum flagellum, juxta plagam Madian in petra Oreb : et virgam suam super mare, et levabit eam in via Aegypti.
ወያመጽእ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዲቤሆሙ፡ መቅሠፍተ፡ ከመ፡ መቅሠፍተ፡ ምድያም፡ በውስተ፡ ብሔረ፡ ሕማም፤ ወሕምዙሂ፡ መንገለ፡ ፍኖተ፡ ባሕር፡ ወውስተ፡ ፍኖት፡ መንገለ፡ ግብጽ።
Yahweh of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.
10:27
וְהָיָ֣ה׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יָס֤וּר סֻבֳּלוֹ֙ מֵעַ֣ל שִׁכְמֶ֔ךָ וְעֻלּ֖וֹ מֵעַ֣ל צַוָּארֶ֑ךָ וְחֻבַּ֥ל עֹ֖ל מִפְּנֵי־שָֽׁמֶן׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἀφαιρεθήσεται ὁ φόβος αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ ὁ ζυγὸς αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὤμου σου καὶ καταφθαρήσεται ὁ ζυγὸς ἀπὸ τῶν ὤμων ὑμῶν
Et erit in die illa : auferetur onus ejus de humero tuo et jugum ejus de collo tuo, et computrescet jugum a facie olei.
ወውእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይሠዐር፡ አርዑት፡ እምክሳድከ፡ ወፍርሃት፡ እመኔከ፡ ወይትቀጠቀጥ፡ አርዑት፡ እመትከፍትከ።
It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
10:28
בָּ֥א עַל־עַיַּ֖ת עָבַ֣ר בְּמִגְר֑וֹן לְמִכְמָ֖שׂ יַפְקִ֥יד כֵּלָֽיו׃
ἥξει γὰρ εἰς τὴν πόλιν Αγγαι καὶ παρελεύσεται εἰς Μαγεδω καὶ ἐν Μαχμας θήσει τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ
Veniet in Ajath, transibit in Magron, apud Machmas commendabit vasa sua.
እስመ፡ ይመጽእ፡ ውስተ፡ ሀገረ፡ ሐጌ፡ ወየኀልፍ፡ ውስተ፡ መጌዶን፡ ወያነብር፡ ንዋዮ፡ ውስተ፡ ምክማስ።
He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.
10:29
עָֽבְרוּ֙ מַעְבָּרָ֔ה גֶּ֖בַע מָל֣וֹן לָ֑נוּ חָֽרְדָה֙ הָרָמָ֔ה גִּבְעַ֥ת שָׁא֖וּל נָֽסָה׃
καὶ παρελεύσεται φάραγγα καὶ ἥξει εἰς Αγγαι φόβος λήμψεται Ραμα πόλιν Σαουλ φεύξεται
Transierunt cursim, Gaba sedes nostra ; obstupuit Rama, Gabaath Saulis fugit.
ወየኀልፍ፡ ቈላ፣፡ ወበጺሖ፡ ሐጌ፡ ይፈርሁ፡ ሬማት፡ ሀገረ፡ ሳኦል።
They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.
10:30
צַהֲלִ֥י קוֹלֵ֖ךְ בַּת־גַּלִּ֑ים הַקְשִׁ֥יבִי לַ֖יְשָׁה עֲנִיָּ֥ה עֲנָתֽוֹת׃
ἡ θυγάτηρ Γαλλιμ ἐπακούσεται Λαισα ἐπακούσεται Αναθωθ
Hinni voce tua, filia Gallim, attende Laisa, paupercula Anathoth.
ወትጐይይ፡ ወለተ፡ ጋላን፡ ወይሰማዕ፡ በኤንሶን፡ ወይሰማዕ፡ በአናቶት።
Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
10:31
נָֽדְדָ֖ה מַדְמֵנָ֑ה יֹשְׁבֵ֥י הַגֵּבִ֖ים הֵעִֽיזוּ׃
ἐξέστη Μαδεβηνα καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες Γιββιρ παρακαλεῖτε
Migravit Medemena ; habitatores Gabim, confortamini.
ወይደነግፁ፡ መዴቤና፡ ወእለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ጋቤር።
Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
10:32
ע֥וֹד הַיּ֖וֹם בְּנֹ֣ב לַעֲמֹ֑ד יְנֹפֵ֤ף יָדוֹ֙ הַ֣ר (בית) [בַּת־]צִיּ֔וֹן גִּבְעַ֖ת יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ {פ}
σήμερον ἐν ὁδῷ τοῦ μεῖναι τῇ χειρὶ παρακαλεῖτε τὸ ὄρος τὴν θυγατέρα Σιων καὶ οἱ βουνοὶ οἱ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ
Adhuc dies est ut in Nobe stetur ; agitabit manum suam super montem filiae Sion, collem Jerusalem.
ያስተበቍዕዎሙ፡ በእንተ፡ ፍኖቱ፡ ከመ፡ የሀሉ፡ ምስለ፡ እዴሁ፤ ወያስተበቍዕዎ፡ ለደብረ፡ ወለተ፡ ጽዮን፡ ወለአውግረ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
10:33
הִנֵּ֤ה הָאָדוֹן֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת מְסָעֵ֥ף פֻּארָ֖ה בְּמַעֲרָצָ֑ה וְרָמֵ֤י הַקּוֹמָה֙ גְּדוּעִ֔ים וְהַגְּבֹהִ֖ים יִשְׁפָּֽלוּ׃
ἰδοὺ γὰρ ὁ δεσπότης κύριος σαβαωθ συνταράσσει τοὺς ἐνδόξους μετὰ ἰσχύος καὶ οἱ ὑψηλοὶ τῇ ὕβρει συντριβήσονται καὶ οἱ ὑψηλοὶ ταπεινωθήσονται
Ecce Dominator, Dominus exercituum, confringet lagunculam in terrore ; et excelsi statura succidentur, et sublimes humiliabuntur.
ናሁ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፡ የሀውኮሙ፡ ለክቡራን፡ በኃይሉ፡ ወይቀጠቅጦሙ፡ ለዓበይት፡ ኃሣር፡ ወየኀሥሩ፡ ዓበይት።
Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
10:34
וְנִקַּ֛ף סִֽבְכֵ֥י הַיַּ֖עַר בַּבַּרְזֶ֑ל וְהַלְּבָנ֖וֹן בְּאַדִּ֥יר יִפּֽוֹל׃ {ס}
καὶ πεσοῦνται οἱ ὑψηλοὶ μαχαίρᾳ ὁ δὲ Λίβανος σὺν τοῖς ὑψηλοῖς πεσεῖται
Et subvertentur condensa saltus ferro ; et Libanus cum excelsis cadet.
ወይወድቁ፡ ነዋኃት፡ በመጥባሕት፤ ወይወድቅ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ምስለ፡ ነዋኃት፡ አርዝ።
He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
