23:1
מַשָּׂ֖א צֹ֑ר הֵילִ֣ילוּ׀ אֳנִיּ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֗ישׁ כִּֽי־שֻׁדַּ֤ד מִבַּ֙יִת֙ מִבּ֔וֹא מֵאֶ֥רֶץ כִּתִּ֖ים נִגְלָה־לָֽמוֹ׃
τὸ ὅραμα Τύρου ὀλολύζετε πλοῖα Καρχηδόνος ὅτι ἀπώλετο καὶ οὐκέτι ἔρχονται ἐκ γῆς Κιτιαίων ἦκται αἰχμάλωτος
Onus Tyri. Ululate, naves maris, quia vastata est domus unde venire consueverant : de terra Cethim revelatum est eis.
ለየአወይዋ፡ አሕማረ፡ ኬልቄዶን፡ እስመ፡ ተሐጕለ፡ ወኢያመጽኡ፡ እንከ፡ እምብሔረ፡ ኬጤዎን፡ ወያመጽእዎሙ፡ ፄዋ።
The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in. From the land of Kittim it is revealed to them.
23:2
דֹּ֖מּוּ יֹ֣שְׁבֵי אִ֑י סֹחֵ֥ר צִיד֛וֹן עֹבֵ֥ר יָ֖ם מִלְאֽוּךְ׃
τίνι ὅμοιοι γεγόνασιν οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν τῇ νήσῳ μεταβόλοι Φοινίκης διαπερῶντες τὴν θάλασσαν
Tacete, qui habitatis in insula ; negotiatores Sidonis, transfretantes mare, repleverunt te.
ምንተ፡ ይመስሉ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ደሴተ፡ ፈላስያን፡ እምፊንቄስ፣፡ እለ፡ ዐደዉ፡ ባሕረ፡ ማይ፡ ብዙኅ።
Be still, you inhabitants of the coast, you whom the merchants of Sidon that pass over the sea have replenished.
23:3
וּבְמַ֤יִם רַבִּים֙ זֶ֣רַע שִׁחֹ֔ר קְצִ֥יר יְא֖וֹר תְּבוּאָתָ֑הּ וַתְּהִ֖י סְחַ֥ר גּוֹיִֽם׃
ἐν ὕδατι πολλῷ σπέρμα μεταβόλων ὡς ἀμητοῦ εἰσφερομένου οἱ μεταβόλοι τῶν ἐθνῶν
In aquis multis semen Nili ; messis fluminis fruges ejus : et facta est negotiatio gentium.
ከመ፡ ዘርእ፡ ዘይትዌለጥ፡ አመ፡ ማእረር፡ እለ፡ ቦኡ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ፈላስያን።
On great waters, the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue. She was the market of nations.
23:4
בּ֣וֹשִׁי צִיד֔וֹן כִּֽי־אָמַ֣ר יָ֔ם מָע֥וֹז הַיָּ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹא־חַ֣לְתִּי וְלֹֽא־יָלַ֗דְתִּי וְלֹ֥א גִדַּ֛לְתִּי בַּחוּרִ֖ים רוֹמַ֥מְתִּי בְתוּלֽוֹת׃
αἰσχύνθητι Σιδών εἶπεν ἡ θάλασσα ἡ δὲ ἰσχὺς τῆς θαλάσσης εἶπεν οὐκ ὤδινον οὐδὲ ἔτεκον οὐδὲ ἐξέθρεψα νεανίσκους οὐδὲ ὕψωσα παρθένους
Erubesce, Sidon ; ait enim mare, fortitudo maris, dicens : Non parturivi, et non peperi, et non enutrivi juvenes, nec ad incrementum perduxi virgines.
ተኀፈሪ፡ ሲዶና፡ ትቤ፡ ባሕር፤ ወትቤ፡ ኀይለ፡ ባሕር፤ ኢሐመምኩ፡ ወኢወለድኩ፡ ወኢያወርዘውኩ፣፡ ወኢያልሀቁ፡ ደናግለ።
Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, “I have not travailed, nor given birth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.”
23:5
כַּאֲשֶׁר־שֵׁ֖מַע לְמִצְרָ֑יִם יָחִ֖ילוּ כְּשֵׁ֥מַע צֹֽר׃
ὅταν δὲ ἀκουστὸν γένηται Αἰγύπτῳ λήμψεται αὐτοὺς ὀδύνη περὶ Τύρου
Cum auditum fuerit in Aegypto, dolebunt cum audierint de Tiro.
እስመ፡ እምከመ፡ ተሰምዐ፡ በግብጽ፣፡ ይእኅዞሙ፡ ሕማማ፡ ለጢሮስ።
When the report comes to Egypt, they will be in anguish at the report of Tyre.
23:6
עִבְר֖וּ תַּרְשִׁ֑ישָׁה הֵילִ֖ילוּ יֹ֥שְׁבֵי אִֽי׃
ἀπέλθατε εἰς Καρχηδόνα ὀλολύξατε οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐν τῇ νήσῳ ταύτῃ
Transite maria, ululate, qui habitatis in insula !
ሖሩ፡ ኬልቄዶን፡ ወየአወይዉ፡ ላቲ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ደሴት።
Pass over to Tarshish! Wail, you inhabitants of the coast!
23:7
הֲזֹ֥את לָכֶ֖ם עַלִּיזָ֑ה מִֽימֵי־קֶ֤דֶם קַדְמָתָהּ֙ יֹבִל֣וּהָ רַגְלֶ֔יהָ מֵרָח֖וֹק לָגֽוּר׃
οὐχ αὕτη ἦν ὑμῶν ἡ ὕβρις ἡ ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς πρὶν ἢ παραδοθῆναι αὐτήν
Numquid non vestra haec est, quae gloriabatur a diebus pristinis in antiquitate sua ? Ducent eam pedes sui longe ad peregrinandum.
ዛቲ፡ እንከ፡ ኢኮነትኑ፡ እንቲአክሙ፡ እምትካት፡ ጽዕለተ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ያስተጋብእዋ።
Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her far away to travel?
23:8
מִ֚י יָעַ֣ץ זֹ֔את עַל־צֹ֖ר הַמַּעֲטִירָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר סֹחֲרֶ֙יהָ֙ שָׂרִ֔ים כִּנְעָנֶ֖יהָ נִכְבַּדֵּי־אָֽרֶץ׃
τίς ταῦτα ἐβούλευσεν ἐπὶ Τύρον μὴ ἥσσων ἐστὶν ἢ οὐκ ἰσχύει οἱ ἔμποροι αὐτῆς ἔνδοξοι ἄρχοντες τῆς γῆς
Quis cogitavit hoc super Tyrum quondam coronatam, cujus negotiatores principes, institores ejus inclyti terrae ?
መኑ፡ ከመዝ፡ አምከረ፡ ላዕለ፡ ጢሮስ፤ ቦኑ፡ ይእቲ፡ ኢትኄይስ፡ ወቦኑ፡ ኢትክል፤ ሠያጢያኒሃ፡ ክቡራን፡ መላእክተ፡ ምድር።
Who has planned this against Tyre, the giver of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the honorable of the earth?
23:9
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת יְעָצָ֑הּ לְחַלֵּל֙ גְּא֣וֹן כׇּל־צְבִ֔י לְהָקֵ֖ל כׇּל־נִכְבַּדֵּי־אָֽרֶץ׃
κύριος σαβαωθ ἐβουλεύσατο παραλῦσαι πᾶσαν τὴν ὕβριν τῶν ἐνδόξων καὶ ἀτιμάσαι πᾶν ἔνδοξον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Dominus exercituum cogitavit hoc, ut detraheret superbiam omnis gloriae, et ad ignominiam deduceret universos inclytos terrae.
እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፡ መከረ፡ ይሥዐር፡ ኵሎ፡ ትዕቢቶሙ፡ ለክቡራን፡ ወየኀሥሮሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ዓበይተ፡ ምድር።
Yahweh of Armies has planned it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.
23:10
עִבְרִ֥י אַרְצֵ֖ךְ כַּיְאֹ֑ר בַּת־תַּרְשִׁ֕ישׁ אֵ֖ין מֵ֥זַח עֽוֹד׃
ἐργάζου τὴν γῆν σου καὶ γὰρ πλοῖα οὐκέτι ἔρχεται ἐκ Καρχηδόνος
Transi terram tuam quasi flumen, filia maris ! non est cingulum ultra tibi.
ተገበር፡ ምድረከ፡ እስመ፡ ኢይመጽኣ፡ እንከ፡ አሕማር፡ እምኬልቄዶን።
Pass through your land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish. There is no restraint any more.
23:11
יָדוֹ֙ נָטָ֣ה עַל־הַיָּ֔ם הִרְגִּ֖יז מַמְלָכ֑וֹת יְהֹוָה֙ צִוָּ֣ה אֶל־כְּנַ֔עַן לַשְׁמִ֖ד מָעֻזְנֶֽיהָ׃
ἡ δὲ χείρ σου οὐκέτι ἰσχύει κατὰ θάλασσαν ἡ παροξύνουσα βασιλεῖς κύριος σαβαωθ ἐνετείλατο περὶ Χανααν ἀπολέσαι αὐτῆς τὴν ἰσχύν
Manum suam extendit super mare ; conturbavit regna. Dominus mandavit adversus Chanaan, ut contereret fortes ejus ;
ወትደክም፡ እንከ፡ እዴከ፡ እንተ፡ መንገለ፡ ባሕር፣፡ እንተ፡ አምዕዐቶሙ፡ ለነገሥት።
He has stretched out his hand over the sea. He has shaken the kingdoms. Yahweh has ordered the destruction of Canaan’s strongholds.
23:12
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לֹא־תוֹסִ֥יפִי ע֖וֹד לַעְל֑וֹז הַֽמְעֻשָּׁקָ֞ה בְּתוּלַ֣ת בַּת־צִיד֗וֹן (כתיים) [כִּתִּים֙] ק֣וּמִי עֲבֹ֔רִי גַּם־שָׁ֖ם לֹא־יָנ֥וּחַֽ לָֽךְ׃
καὶ ἐροῦσιν οὐκέτι μὴ προσθῆτε τοῦ ὑβρίζειν καὶ ἀδικεῖν τὴν θυγατέρα Σιδῶνος καὶ ἐὰν ἀπέλθῃς εἰς Κιτιεῖς οὐδὲ ἐκεῖ σοι ἀνάπαυσις ἔσται
et dixit : Non adjicies ultra ut glorieris, calumniam sustinens virgo filia Sidonis : in Cethim consurgens transfreta : ibi quoque non erit requies tibi.
ወይብሉ፤ ኢትደግሙ፡ እንከ፡ ወኢተዐምፅዋ፡ ለወለተ፡ ጽዮን፤ ወእመኒ፡ ሖርከ፡ ብሔረ፡ ኬጤዎን፡ በህየኒ፡ ኢተዐርፍ።
He said, “You shall rejoice no more, you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim. Even there you will have no rest.”
23:13
הֵ֣ן׀ אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים זֶ֤ה הָעָם֙ לֹ֣א הָיָ֔ה אַשּׁ֖וּר יְסָדָ֣הּ לְצִיִּ֑ים הֵקִ֣ימוּ (בחיניו) [בַחוּנָ֗יו] עֽוֹרְרוּ֙ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ שָׂמָ֖הּ לְמַפֵּלָֽה׃
καὶ εἰς γῆν Χαλδαίων καὶ αὕτη ἠρήμωται ἀπὸ τῶν Ἀσσυρίων οὐδὲ ἐκεῖ σοι ἀνάπαυσις ἔσται ὅτι ὁ τοῖχος αὐτῆς πέπτωκεν
Ecce terra Chaldaeorum, talis populus non fuit : Assur fundavit eam ; in captivitatem traduxerunt robustos ejus, suffoderunt domos ejus, posuerunt eam in ruinam.
አስመ፡ ለብሔረ፡ ከልዴዎንሂ፡ አማሰንዋ፡ ፋርስ፡ ወወድቀ፡ አረፋቲሃ።
Behold, the land of the Chaldeans. This people didn’t exist. The Assyrians founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They overthrew its palaces. They made it a ruin.
23:14
הֵילִ֖ילוּ אֳנִיּ֣וֹת תַּרְשִׁ֑ישׁ כִּ֥י שֻׁדַּ֖ד מָעֻזְּכֶֽן׃ {ס}
ὀλολύζετε πλοῖα Καρχηδόνος ὅτι ἀπώλετο τὸ ὀχύρωμα ὑμῶν
Ululate, naves maris, quia devastata est fortitudo vestra.
አውይዋ፡ አሕማረ፡ ዴልቄዶን፡ እስመ፡ ተሰብረ፡ ጸወንክሙ።
Howl, you ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is laid waste!
23:15
וְהָיָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא וְנִשְׁכַּ֤חַת צֹר֙ שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה כִּימֵ֖י מֶ֣לֶךְ אֶחָ֑ד מִקֵּ֞ץ שִׁבְעִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לְצֹ֔ר כְּשִׁירַ֖ת הַזּוֹנָֽה׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καταλειφθήσεται Τύρος ἔτη ἑβδομήκοντα ὡς χρόνος βασιλέως ὡς χρόνος ἀνθρώπου καὶ ἔσται μετὰ ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη ἔσται Τύρος ὡς ᾆσμα πόρνης
Et erit in die illa : in oblivione eris, o Tyre ! septuaginta annis, sicut dies regis unius ; post septuaginta autem annos erit Tyro quasi canticum meretricis :
ወይእተ፡ አሚር፡ ትነብር፡ ጢሮስ፡ ሰብዓ፡ ዓመተ፡ መጠነ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወመጠነ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሰብእ፤ ወእምድኅረ፡ ሰንዓ፡ ዓመት፡ ትከውን፡ ጢሮስ፡ ከመ፡ ማኅሌት፡ ዘዘማ።
It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.
23:16
קְחִ֥י כִנּ֛וֹר סֹ֥בִּי עִ֖יר זוֹנָ֣ה נִשְׁכָּחָ֑ה הֵיטִ֤יבִי נַגֵּן֙ הַרְבִּי־שִׁ֔יר לְמַ֖עַן תִּזָּכֵֽרִי׃
λαβὲ κιθάραν ῥέμβευσον πόλεις πόρνη ἐπιλελησμένη καλῶς κιθάρισον πολλὰ ᾆσον ἵνα σου μνεία γένηται
Sume citharam, circui civitatem, meretrix oblivioni tradita : bene cane, frequenta canticum, ut memoria tui sit.
ንሥኢ፡ መሰንቆ፡ ወዑዲ፡ ሀገረ፡ ዘማ፡ እንተ፡ ተረስዐት፡ ሠናየ፡ ሰንቅዊ፡ ወብዙኀ፡ ኅልዪ፡ ከመ፡ ይዝክሩኪ።
Take a harp; go about the city, you prostitute that has been forgotten. Make sweet melody. Sing many songs, that you may be remembered.
23:17
וְהָיָ֞ה מִקֵּ֣ץ׀ שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֗ה יִפְקֹ֤ד יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־צֹ֔ר וְשָׁבָ֖ה לְאֶתְנַנָּ֑הֿ וְזָ֥נְתָ֛ה אֶת־כׇּל־מַמְלְכ֥וֹת הָאָ֖רֶץ עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃
καὶ ἔσται μετὰ ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη ἐπισκοπὴν ποιήσει ὁ θεὸς Τύρου καὶ πάλιν ἀποκατασταθήσεται εἰς τὸ ἀρχαῖον καὶ ἔσται ἐμπόριον πάσαις ταῖς βασιλείαις τῆς οἰκουμένης
Et erit post septuaginta annos : visitabit Dominus Tyrum, et reducet eam ad mercedes suas, et rursum fornicabitur cum universis regnis terrae super faciem terrae ;
ወእምድኅረ፡ ሰብዓ፡ ዓመት፡ ይሔውጻ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለጢሮስ፡ ወትገብእ፡ ካዕበ፡ ከመ፡ ትካት፣፡ ወትከውን፡ ምቅዳሐ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ነገሥተ፡ ዓለም፡ ላዕለ፡ ገጸ፡ ምድር።
It will happen after the end of seventy years that Yahweh will visit Tyre. She will return to her wages, and will play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world on the surface of the earth.
23:18
וְהָיָ֨ה סַחְרָ֜הּ וְאֶתְנַנָּ֗הּ קֹ֚דֶשׁ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה לֹ֥א יֵאָצֵ֖ר וְלֹ֣א יֵחָסֵ֑ן כִּ֣י לַיֹּשְׁבִ֞ים לִפְנֵ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה סַחְרָ֔הּ לֶאֱכֹ֥ל לְשׇׂבְעָ֖ה וְלִמְכַסֶּ֥ה עָתִֽיק׃ {פ}
καὶ ἔσται αὐτῆς ἡ ἐμπορία καὶ ὁ μισθὸς ἅγιον τῷ κυρίῳ οὐκ αὐτοῖς συναχθήσεται ἀλλὰ τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν ἔναντι κυρίου πᾶσα ἡ ἐμπορία αὐτῆς φαγεῖν καὶ πιεῖν καὶ ἐμπλησθῆναι εἰς συμβολὴν μνημόσυνον ἔναντι κυρίου
et erunt negotiationes ejus et mercedes ejus sanctificatae Domino : non condentur neque reponentur, quia his qui habitaverint coram Domino erit negotiatio ejus, ut manducent in saturitatem, et vestiantur usque ad vetustatem.
ወትከውን፡ መስተገብረ፡ ወዕሤተ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ቅዱስ፤ ወአኮ፡ ለእሙንቱ፡ ዘይትጋብኡ፡ ዳእሙ፡ ለእለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፤ ወኵሉ፡ ተግባራ፡ ለበሊዕ፡ ወለሰቲይ፡ ወለጸጊብ፡ ወታጸግብ፡ ተዝካራ፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Her merchandise and her wages will be holiness to Yahweh. It will not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise will be for those who dwell before Yahweh, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
