26:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא יוּשַׁ֥ר הַשִּׁיר ־הַזֶּ֖ה בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֑ה עִ֣יר עׇז ־לָ֔נוּ יְשׁוּעָ֥ה יָשִׁ֖ית חוֹמ֥וֹת וָחֵֽל ׃
τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ᾄσονται τὸ ᾆσμα τοῦτο ἐπὶ γῆς Ιουδα λέγοντες ἰδοὺ πόλις ὀχυρά καὶ σωτήριον ἡμῶν θήσει τεῖχος καὶ περίτειχος
In die illa cantabitur canticum istud in terra Juda : Urbs fortitudinis nostrae Sion ; salvator ponetur in ea murus et antemurale .
ይእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ የኀልዩ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ማኅሌተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ይሁዳ ፤ ወይብሉ ፤ ናሁ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ጽንዕት ፤ ወመድኃኒትነ ፡ ወዘትገብር ፡ አረፍተ ፡ ወጥቅመ ።
In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city. God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.
26:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ פִּתְח֖וּ שְׁעָרִ֑ים וְיָבֹ֥א גוֹי ־צַדִּ֖יק שֹׁמֵ֥ר אֱמֻנִֽים ׃
ἀνοίξατε πύλας εἰσελθάτω λαὸς φυλάσσων δικαιοσύνην καὶ φυλάσσων ἀλήθειαν
Aperite portas , et ingrediatur gens justa , custodiens veritatem .
አርኅዉ ፡ አናቅጸ ፡ ይባእ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዘየዐቅብ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ ወይትዌከፍ ፡ ርትዐ ።
Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter: the one which keeps faith.
26:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ יֵ֣צֶר סָמ֔וּךְ תִּצֹּ֖ר שָׁל֣וֹם ׀שָׁל֑וֹם כִּ֥י בְךָ֖ בָּטֽוּחַ ׃
ἀντιλαμβανόμενος ἀληθείας καὶ φυλάσσων εἰρήνην ὅτι ἐπὶ σοὶ
Vetus error abiit : servabis pacem ; pacem , quia in te speravimus .
ወይትመሐፀን ፡ ሰላመ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ፣፡ ኪያከ ፡ ተወከልነ ።
You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.
26:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ בִּטְח֥וּ בַיהֹוָ֖ה עֲדֵי ־עַ֑ד כִּ֚י בְּיָ֣הּ יְהֹוָ֔ה צ֖וּר עוֹלָמִֽים ׃
ἤλπισαν κύριε ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος ὁ θεὸς ὁ μέγας ὁ αἰώνιος
Sperastis in Domino in saeculis aeternis ; in Domino Deo forti in perpetuum .
እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
Trust in Yahweh forever; for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.
26:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֤י הֵשַׁח֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י מָר֔וֹם קִרְיָ֖ה נִשְׂגָּבָ֑ה יַשְׁפִּילֶ֤נָּה יַשְׁפִּילָהּ֙ עַד ־אֶ֔רֶץ יַגִּיעֶ֖נָּה עַד ־עָפָֽר ׃
ὃς ταπεινώσας κατήγαγες τοὺς ἐνοικοῦντας ἐν ὑψηλοῖς πόλεις ὀχυρὰς καταβαλεῖς καὶ κατάξεις ἕως ἐδάφους
Quia incurvabit habitantes in excelso ; civitatem sublimem humiliabit : humiliabit eam usque ad terram , detrahet eam usque ad pulverem .
ዘአትሐትኮሙ ፡ ወአውረድኮሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አርያም ፤ ወትነፅኆን ፡ ለአህጉር ፡ ጽኑዓት ፡ ወታወርዶን ፡ እስከ ፡ ምድር ።
For he has brought down those who dwell on high, the lofty city. He lays it low. He lays it low even to the ground. He brings it even to the dust.
26:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ תִּרְמְסֶ֖נָּה רָ֑גֶל רַגְלֵ֥י עָנִ֖י פַּעֲמֵ֥י דַלִּֽים ׃
καὶ πατήσουσιν αὐτοὺς πόδες πραέων καὶ ταπεινῶν
Conculcabit eam pes , pedes pauperis , gressus egenorum .
ወይከይዶን ፡ እግረ ፡ የዋሃን ፡ ወትሑታን ።
The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor and the steps of the needy.”
26:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֹ֥רַח לַצַּדִּ֖יק מֵישָׁרִ֑ים יָשָׁ֕ר מַעְגַּ֥ל צַדִּ֖יק תְּפַלֵּֽס ׃
ὁδὸς εὐσεβῶν εὐθεῖα ἐγένετο καὶ παρεσκευασμένη ἡ ὁδὸς τῶν εὐσεβῶν
Semita justi recta est , rectus callis justi ad ambulandum .
ወይከውን ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ርቱዐ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፡ ወትጸያሕ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ራትዓን ።
The way of the just is uprightness. You who are upright make the path of the righteous level.
26:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַ֣ף אֹ֧רַח מִשְׁפָּטֶ֛יךָ יְהֹוָ֖ה קִוִּינ֑וּךָ לְשִׁמְךָ֥ וּלְזִכְרְךָ֖ תַּאֲוַת ־נָֽפֶשׁ ׃
ἡ γὰρ ὁδὸς κυρίου κρίσις ἠλπίσαμεν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου καὶ ἐπὶ τῇ μνείᾳ
Et in semita judiciorum tuorum , Domine , sustinuimus te : nomen tuum et memoriale tuum in desiderio animae .
እስመ ፡ ርቱዕ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you. Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.
26:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ נַפְשִׁ֤י אִוִּיתִ֙ךָ֙ בַּלַּ֔יְלָה אַף ־רוּחִ֥י בְקִרְבִּ֖י אֲשַׁחֲרֶ֑ךָּ כִּ֞י כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר מִשְׁפָּטֶ֙יךָ֙ לָאָ֔רֶץ צֶ֥דֶק לָמְד֖וּ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל ׃
ᾗ ἐπιθυμεῖ ἡ ψυχὴ ἡμῶν ἐκ νυκτὸς ὀρθρίζει τὸ πνεῦμά μου πρὸς σέ ὁ θεός διότι φῶς τὰ προστάγματά σου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς δικαιοσύνην μάθετε οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Anima mea desideravit te in nocte , sed et spiritu meo in praecordiis meis de mane vigilabo ad te . Cum feceris judicia tua in terra , justitiam discent habitatores orbis .
በሌሊት ፡ ትገይስ ፡ መንፈስየ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ፤ እስመ ፡ ብርሃን ፡ ትእዛዝከ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are on the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
26:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ יֻחַ֤ן רָשָׁע֙ בַּל ־לָמַ֣ד צֶ֔דֶק בְּאֶ֥רֶץ נְכֹח֖וֹת יְעַוֵּ֑ל וּבַל ־יִרְאֶ֖ה גֵּא֥וּת יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
πέπαυται γὰρ ὁ ἀσεβής οὐ μὴ μάθῃ δικαιοσύνην ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀλήθειαν οὐ μὴ ποιήσῃ ἀρθήτω ὁ ἀσεβής ἵνα μὴ ἴδῃ τὴν δόξαν κυρίου
Misereamur impio , et non discet justitiam ; in terra sanctorum iniqua gessit , et non videbit gloriam Domini .
እስመ ፡ ኀልቀ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ ዘኢይሜሀር ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ምድር ፤ ወዘኢይገብር ፡ ሠናየ ።
Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not see Yahweh’s majesty.
26:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהֹוָ֛ה רָ֥מָה יָדְךָ֖ בַּל ־יֶחֱזָי֑וּן יֶחֱז֤וּ וְיֵבֹ֙שׁוּ֙ קִנְאַת ־עָ֔ם אַף ־אֵ֖שׁ צָרֶ֥יךָ תֹאכְלֵֽם ׃ {ס}
κύριε ὑψηλός σου ὁ βραχίων καὶ οὐκ ᾔδεισαν γνόντες δὲ αἰσχυνθήσονται ζῆλος λήμψεται λαὸν ἀπαίδευτον καὶ νῦν πῦρ τοὺς ὑπεναντίους ἔδεται
Domine , exaltetur manus tua , et non videant ; videant , et confundantur zelantes populi ; et ignis hostes tuos devoret .
እግዚኦ ፡ ልዑለ ፡ መዝራዕተከ ፡ ኢያእመሩ ፣፡ ወእምከመሰ ፡ አእመሩ ፡ ይትኀፈሩ ።
Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.
26:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהֹוָ֕ה תִּשְׁפֹּ֥ת שָׁל֖וֹם לָ֑נוּ כִּ֛י גַּ֥ם כׇּֽל ־מַעֲשֵׂ֖ינוּ פָּעַ֥לְתָּ לָּֽנוּ ׃ {ס}
κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν εἰρήνην δὸς ἡμῖν πάντα γὰρ ἀπέδωκας ἡμῖν
Domine , dabis pacem nobis : omnia enim opera nostra operatus es nobis .
እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ ሀበነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ወሀብከነ ።
Yahweh, you will ordain peace for us, for you have also done all our work for us.
26:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ בְּעָל֥וּנוּ אֲדֹנִ֖ים זוּלָתֶ֑ךָ לְבַד ־בְּךָ֖ נַזְכִּ֥יר שְׁמֶֽךָ ׃
κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν κτῆσαι ἡμᾶς κύριε ἐκτὸς σοῦ ἄλλον οὐκ οἴδαμεν τὸ ὄνομά σου ὀνομάζομεν
Domine Deus noster , possederunt nos domini absque te ; tantum in te recordemur nominis tui .
እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ አጥርየነ ፤ እግዚኦ ፡ ዘእንበሌከ ፡ ባዕደ ፡ ኢነአምር ፤ ወስመ ፡ ዚአከ ፡ ንሰሚ ።
Yahweh our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us, but we will only acknowledge your name.
26:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ מֵתִים֙ בַּל ־יִ֣חְי֔וּ רְפָאִ֖ים בַּל ־יָקֻ֑מוּ לָכֵ֤ן פָּקַ֙דְתָּ֙ וַתַּשְׁמִידֵ֔ם וַתְּאַבֵּ֥ד כׇּל ־זֵ֖כֶר לָֽמוֹ ׃
οἱ δὲ νεκροὶ ζωὴν οὐ μὴ ἴδωσιν οὐδὲ ἰατροὶ οὐ μὴ ἀναστήσωσιν διὰ τοῦτο ἐπήγαγες καὶ ἀπώλεσας καὶ ἦρας πᾶν ἄρσεν αὐτῶν
Morientes non vivant , gigantes non resurgant : propterea visitasti et contrivisti eos , et perdidisti omnem memoriam eorum .
ምውታንሰ ፡ ኢይሬእይዋ ፡ ለሕይወት ፤ ወዓቀብተ ፡ ሥራይኒ ፡ ያነሥኡ ።
The dead shall not live. The departed spirits shall not rise. Therefore you have visited and destroyed them, and caused all memory of them to perish.
26:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ יָסַ֤פְתָּ לַגּוֹי֙ יְהֹוָ֔ה יָסַ֥פְתָּ לַגּ֖וֹי נִכְבָּ֑דְתָּ רִחַ֖קְתָּ כׇּל ־קַצְוֵי ־אָֽרֶץ ׃ {פ}
πρόσθες αὐτοῖς κακά κύριε πρόσθες κακὰ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐνδόξοις τῆς γῆς
Indulsisti genti , Domine , indulsisti genti , numquid glorificatus es ? elongasti omnes terminos terrae .
ወስኮሙ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እኪተ ፤ ወስኮሙ ፡ እኪተ ፡ ለክቡራነ ፡ ምድር ።
You have increased the nation, O Yahweh. You have increased the nation! You are glorified! You have enlarged all the borders of the land.
26:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהֹוָ֖ה בַּצַּ֣ר פְּקָד֑וּךָ צָק֣וּן לַ֔חַשׁ מוּסָרְךָ֖ לָֽמוֹ ׃
κύριε ἐν θλίψει ἐμνήσθην σου ἐν θλίψει μικρᾷ ἡ παιδεία σου ἡμῖν
Domine , in angustia requisierunt te , in tribulatione murmuris doctrina tua eis .
እግዚኦ ፡ በሕማምነ ፡ ተዘከርናከ ፤ ወበኅዳጥ ፡ ሕማም ፡ ገሠጽከነ ።
Yahweh, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.
26:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ כְּמ֤וֹ הָרָה֙ תַּקְרִ֣יב לָלֶ֔דֶת תָּחִ֥יל תִּזְעַ֖ק בַּחֲבָלֶ֑יהָ כֵּ֛ן הָיִ֥ינוּ מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ὡς ἡ ὠδίνουσα ἐγγίζει τοῦ τεκεῖν καὶ ἐπὶ τῇ ὠδῖνι αὐτῆς ἐκέκραξεν οὕτως ἐγενήθημεν τῷ ἀγαπητῷ σου διὰ τὸν φόβον σου κύριε
Sicut quae concipit , cum appropinquaverit ad partum , dolens clamat in doloribus suis , sic facti sumus a facie tua , Domine .
ወከመ ፡ እንተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማሕምም ፡ ወእንተ ፡ አልጸቀት ፡ ለወሊድ ፡ ወአውየወት ፡ በሕማማ ፣፡ ከማሁ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ለፍቁርከ ።
Just as a woman with child, who draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain and cries out in her pangs, so we have been before you, Yahweh.
26:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָרִ֣ינוּ חַ֔לְנוּ כְּמ֖וֹ יָלַ֣דְנוּ ר֑וּחַ יְשׁוּעֹת֙ בַּל ־נַ֣עֲשֶׂה אֶ֔רֶץ וּבַֽל ־יִפְּל֖וּ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵֽל ׃
ἐν γαστρὶ ἐλάβομεν καὶ ὠδινήσαμεν καὶ ἐτέκομεν πνεῦμα σωτηρίας σου ἐποιήσαμεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀλλὰ πεσοῦνται οἱ ἐνοικοῦντες ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Concepimus , et quasi parturivimus , et peperimus spiritum . Salutes non fecimus in terra ; ideo non ceciderunt habitatores terrae .
በእንተ ፡ ፈሪሆትከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ፀነስነ ፣፡ ሐመምነሂ ፡ ወወለድነ ፡ መመንፈሰ ፡ አድኅኖትከ ፡ በዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
We have been with child. We have been in pain. We gave birth, it seems, only to wind. We have not worked any deliverance on the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
26:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִֽחְי֣וּ מֵתֶ֔יךָ נְבֵלָתִ֖י יְקוּמ֑וּן הָקִ֨יצוּ וְרַנְּנ֜וּ שֹׁכְנֵ֣י עָפָ֗ר כִּ֣י טַ֤ל אוֹרֹת֙ טַלֶּ֔ךָ וָאָ֖רֶץ רְפָאִ֥ים תַּפִּֽיל ׃ {פ}
ἀναστήσονται οἱ νεκροί καὶ ἐγερθήσονται οἱ ἐν τοῖς μνημείοις καὶ εὐφρανθήσονται οἱ ἐν τῇ γῇ ἡ γὰρ δρόσος ἡ παρὰ σοῦ ἴαμα αὐτοῖς ἐστιν ἡ δὲ γῆ τῶν ἀσεβῶν πεσεῖται
Vivent mortui tui , interfecti mei resurgent . Expergiscimini , et laudate , qui habitatis in pulvere , quia ros lucis ros tuus , et terram gigantum detrahes in ruinam .
ምውታንሰ ፡ ይትነሥኡ ፡ ወየሐይዉ ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መቃብር ፤ ወይትፌሥሑ ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
Your dead shall live. Their dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth will cast out the departed spirits.
26:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֵ֤ךְ עַמִּי֙ בֹּ֣א בַחֲדָרֶ֔יךָ וּֽסְגֹ֥ר (דלתיך ) [דְּלָֽתְךָ֖ ] בַּעֲדֶ֑ךָ חֲבִ֥י כִמְעַט ־רֶ֖גַע עַד ־(יעבור )־[יַעֲבׇר ־]זָֽעַם ׃
βάδιζε λαός μου εἴσελθε εἰς τὰ ταμίειά σου ἀπόκλεισον τὴν θύραν σου ἀποκρύβηθι μικρὸν ὅσον ὅσον ἕως ἂν παρέλθῃ ἡ ὀργὴ κυρίου
Vade , populus meus , intra in cubicula tua ; claude ostia tua super te , abscondere modicum ad momentum , donec pertranseat indignatio .
ሖር ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ ወባእ ፡ ቤተከ ፡ ወዕጹ ፡ ኆኅጠከ ፡ ወተኀባእ ፡ ኅዳጠ ፡ ምዕረ ፡ እስከ ፡ የኀልፍ ፡ መዐቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
Come, my people, enter into your rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a little moment, until the indignation is past.
26:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּֽי ־הִנֵּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ יֹצֵ֣א מִמְּקוֹמ֔וֹ לִפְקֹ֛ד עֲוֺ֥ן יֹֽשֵׁב ־הָאָ֖רֶץ עָלָ֑יו וְגִלְּתָ֤ה הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶת ־דָּמֶ֔יהָ וְלֹא ־תְכַסֶּ֥ה ע֖וֹד עַל ־הֲרוּגֶֽיהָ ׃ {פ}
ἰδοὺ γὰρ κύριος ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου ἐπάγει τὴν ὀργὴν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἐνοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀνακαλύψει ἡ γῆ τὸ αἷμα αὐτῆς καὶ οὐ κατακαλύψει τοὺς ἀνῃρημένους
Ecce enim Dominus egredietur de loco suo , ut visitet iniquitatem habitatoris terrae contra eum ; et revelabit terra sanguinem suum , et non operiet ultra interfectos suos .
ናሁ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መቅደሱ ፡ ያመጽእ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ ዲበ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፤ ወትከሥት ፡ ምድርኒ ፡ ደማ ፡ ወኢትከድኖሙ ፡ ለቅቱላን ።
For, behold, Yahweh comes out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth also will disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.
