43:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַתָּ֞ה כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ בֹּרַאֲךָ֣ יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְיֹצֶרְךָ֖ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אַל ־תִּירָא֙ כִּ֣י גְאַלְתִּ֔יךָ קָרָ֥אתִי בְשִׁמְךָ֖ לִי ־אָֽתָּה ׃
καὶ νῦν οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ ποιήσας σε Ιακωβ ὁ πλάσας σε Ισραηλ μὴ φοβοῦ ὅτι ἐλυτρωσάμην σε ἐκάλεσά σε τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐμὸς εἶ σύ
Et nunc haec dicit Dominus creans te , Jacob , et formans te , Israël : Noli timere , quia redemi te , et vocavi te nomine tuo : meus es tu .
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዘገብረከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወዘፈጠረከ ፡ እስራኤል ፤ ኢትፍራህ ፡ እንከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አድኅንኩከ ፡ ወሰመይኩ ፡ ስመከ ።
But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.
43:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּֽי ־תַעֲבֹ֤ר בַּמַּ֙יִם֙ אִתְּךָ ־אָ֔נִי וּבַנְּהָר֖וֹת לֹ֣א יִשְׁטְפ֑וּךָ כִּֽי ־תֵלֵ֤ךְ בְּמוֹ ־אֵשׁ֙ לֹ֣א תִכָּוֶ֔ה וְלֶהָבָ֖ה לֹ֥א תִבְעַר ־בָּֽךְ ׃
καὶ ἐὰν διαβαίνῃς δῑ ὕδατος μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι καὶ ποταμοὶ οὐ συγκλύσουσίν σε καὶ ἐὰν διέλθῃς διὰ πυρός οὐ μὴ κατακαυθῇς φλὸξ οὐ κατακαύσει σε
Cum transieris per aquas , tecum ero , et flumina non operient te ; cum ambulaveris in igne , non combureris , et flamma non ardebit in te .
ወእመኒ ፡ ዐደውከ ፡ ማየ ፡ አነ ፡ ሀለውኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወአፍላግኒ ፡ ኢያሰጥሙከ ፤ ወእመኒ ፡ ዐደውከ ፡ እሳተ ፡ ነበልባልኒ ፡ ኢያውዕየከ ።
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
43:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֗י אֲנִי֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מוֹשִׁיעֶ֑ךָ נָתַ֤תִּי כׇפְרְךָ֙ מִצְרַ֔יִם כּ֥וּשׁ וּסְבָ֖א תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ ׃
ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ὁ ἅγιος Ισραηλ ὁ σῴζων σε ἐποίησά σου ἄλλαγμα Αἴγυπτον καὶ Αἰθιοπίαν καὶ Σοήνην ὑπὲρ σοῦ
Quia ego Dominus Deus tuus , Sanctus Israël , salvator tuus , dedi propitiationem tuam Aegyptum , Aethopiam , et Saba , pro te .
እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዘአድኀንኩከ ፤ ወረሰይኩከ ፡ ለከ ፡ ተውላጠከ ፡ ግብጸ ፡ ወኢትዮጵያ ፡ ወሴዎንሃ ፡ ቤዛከ ።
For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
43:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ מֵאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָקַ֧רְתָּ בְעֵינַ֛י נִכְבַּ֖דְתָּ וַאֲנִ֣י אֲהַבְתִּ֑יךָ וְאֶתֵּ֤ן אָדָם֙ תַּחְתֶּ֔יךָ וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים תַּ֥חַת נַפְשֶֽׁךָ ׃
ἀφ’ οὗ ἔντιμος ἐγένου ἐναντίον μου ἐδοξάσθης κἀγώ σε ἠγάπησα καὶ δώσω ἀνθρώπους πολλοὺς ὑπὲρ σοῦ καὶ ἄρχοντας ὑπὲρ τῆς κεφαλῆς σου
Ex quo honorabilis factus es in oculis meis , et gloriosus , ego dilexi te , et dabo homines pro te , et populos pro anima tua .
እስመ ፡ ክቡር ፡ አንተ ፡ በቅድሜየ ፡ ወከበርከ ፣፡ ወአነ ፡ አፍቀርኩከ ፡ ወእሁበከ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ቤዛከ ፡ ወመላእክተሂ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ርእስከ ።
Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life.
43:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַל ־תִּירָ֖א כִּ֣י אִתְּךָ ־אָ֑נִי מִמִּזְרָח֙ אָבִ֣יא זַרְעֶ֔ךָ וּמִֽמַּעֲרָ֖ב אֲקַבְּצֶֽךָּ ׃
μὴ φοβοῦ ὅτι μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἄξω τὸ σπέρμα σου καὶ ἀπὸ δυσμῶν συνάξω σε
Noli timere , quia ego tecum sum ; ab oriente adducam semen tuum , et ab occidente congregabo te .
ኢትፍራህ ፡ እንከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ሀለውኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ።
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.
43:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֹמַ֤ר לַצָּפוֹן֙ תֵּ֔נִי וּלְתֵימָ֖ן אַל ־תִּכְלָ֑אִי הָבִ֤יאִי בָנַי֙ מֵרָח֔וֹק וּבְנוֹתַ֖י מִקְצֵ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
ἐρῶ τῷ βορρᾷ ἄγε καὶ τῷ λιβί μὴ κώλυε ἄγε τοὺς υἱούς μου ἀπὸ γῆς πόρρωθεν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας μου ἀπ’ ἄκρων τῆς γῆς
Dicam aquiloni : Da ; et austro : Noli prohibere : affer filios meos de longinquo , et filias meas ab extremis terrae .
ወእብሎ ፡ ለሰሜን ፤ አምጽኦሙ ።
I will tell the north, ‘Give them up!’ and tell the south, ‘Don’t hold them back! Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
43:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֚ל הַנִּקְרָ֣א בִשְׁמִ֔י וְלִכְבוֹדִ֖י בְּרָאתִ֑יו יְצַרְתִּ֖יו אַף ־עֲשִׂיתִֽיו ׃
πάντας ὅσοι ἐπικέκληνται τῷ ὀνόματί μου ἐν γὰρ τῇ δόξῃ μου κατεσκεύασα αὐτὸν καὶ ἔπλασα καὶ ἐποίησα αὐτόν
Et omnem qui invocat nomen meum , in gloriam meam creavi eum , formavi eum , et feci eum .
ወለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ተሰምዩ ፡ በስምየ ፤ እስመ ፡ ለስብሐትየ ፡ ፈጠርክዎሙ ፡ ወገበርክዎሙ ።
everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.’”
43:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ הוֹצִ֥יא עַם ־עִוֵּ֖ר וְעֵינַ֣יִם יֵ֑שׁ וְחֵרְשִׁ֖ים וְאׇזְנַ֥יִם לָֽמוֹ ׃
καὶ ἐξήγαγον λαὸν τυφλόν καὶ ὀφθαλμοί εἰσιν ὡσαύτως τυφλοί καὶ κωφοὶ τὰ ὦτα ἔχοντες
Educ foras populum caecum , et oculos habentem ; surdum , et aures ei sunt .
ወአውፃእኩ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ዕዉረ ፡ እለ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ አዕይንተ ፡ ኢይሬእዩ ፡ ወእለ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ እዝነ ፡ ኢይሰምዑ ።
Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.
43:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּֽל ־הַגּוֹיִ֞ם נִקְבְּצ֣וּ יַחְדָּ֗ו וְיֵאָֽסְפוּ֙ לְאֻמִּ֔ים מִ֤י בָהֶם֙ יַגִּ֣יד זֹ֔את וְרִאשֹׁנ֖וֹת יַשְׁמִיעֻ֑נוּ יִתְּנ֤וּ עֵֽדֵיהֶם֙ וְיִצְדָּ֔קוּ וְיִשְׁמְע֖וּ וְיֹאמְר֥וּ אֱמֶֽת ׃
πάντα τὰ ἔθνη συνήχθησαν ἅμα καὶ συναχθήσονται ἄρχοντες ἐξ αὐτῶν τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ταῦτα ἢ τὰ ἐξ ἀρχῆς τίς ἀναγγελεῖ ὑμῖν ἀγαγέτωσαν τοὺς μάρτυρας αὐτῶν καὶ δικαιωθήτωσαν καὶ εἰπάτωσαν ἀληθῆ
Omnes gentes congregatae sunt simul , et collectae sunt tribus . Quis in vobis annuntiet istud , et quae prima sunt audire nos faciet ? Dent testes eorum , justificentur , et audiant , et dicant : Vere .
ወተጋብኡ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ወተጋብኡ ፡ መላእክቲሆሙኒ ።
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified, or let them hear, and say, “That is true.”
43:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַתֶּ֤ם עֵדַי֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְעַבְדִּ֖י אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּחָ֑רְתִּי לְמַ֣עַן תֵּ֠דְע֠וּ וְתַאֲמִ֨ינוּ לִ֤י וְתָבִ֙ינוּ֙ כִּֽי ־אֲנִ֣י ה֔וּא לְפָנַי֙ לֹא ־נ֣וֹצַר אֵ֔ל וְאַחֲרַ֖י לֹ֥א יִהְיֶֽה ׃ {ס}
γένεσθέ μοι μάρτυρες κἀγὼ μάρτυς λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός καὶ ὁ παῖς ὃν ἐξελεξάμην ἵνα γνῶτε καὶ πιστεύσητε καὶ συνῆτε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ἔμπροσθέν μου οὐκ ἐγένετο ἄλλος θεὸς καὶ μετ’ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἔσται
Vos testes mei , dicit Dominus , et servus meus quem elegi : ut sciatis , et credatis mihi , et intelligatis quia ego ipse sum ; ante me non est formatus Deus , et post me non erit .
አንትሙ ፡ ኩኑኒ ፡ ሰማዕትየ ፡ ወአነሂ ፡ እከውነክሙ ፡ ሰማዕተ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፤ ወቍልዔየኒ ፡ ዘኀረይክዎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታእምሩ ፡ ወትእመኑ ፡ ወትለብዉ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ።
“You are my witnesses,” says Yahweh, “With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me.
43:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָנֹכִ֥י אָנֹכִ֖י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְאֵ֥ין מִבַּלְעָדַ֖י מוֹשִֽׁיעַ ׃
ἐγὼ ὁ θεός καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν πάρεξ ἐμοῦ σῴζων
Ego sum , ego sum Dominus , et non est absque me salvator .
አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዘእንበሌየ ፡ ዘያሐዩ ።
I myself am Yahweh. Besides me, there is no savior.
43:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָנֹכִ֞י הִגַּ֤דְתִּי וְהוֹשַׁ֙עְתִּי֙ וְהִשְׁמַ֔עְתִּי וְאֵ֥ין בָּכֶ֖ם זָ֑ר וְאַתֶּ֥ם עֵדַ֛י נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֖ה וַאֲנִי ־אֵֽל ׃
ἀνήγγειλα καὶ ἔσωσα ὠνείδισα καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἐν ὑμῖν ἀλλότριος ὑμεῖς ἐμοὶ μάρτυρες κἀγὼ μάρτυς λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός
Ego annuntiavi , et salvavi ; auditum feci , et non fuit in vobis alienus : vos testes mei , dicit Dominus , et ego Deus .
ነገርኩሂ ፡ ወአድኀንኩሂ ፡ ወገሠጽኩሂ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ እምውስቴትክሙ ፡ ነኪረ ።
I have declared, I have saved, and I have shown, and there was no strange god among you. Therefore you are my witnesses”, says Yahweh, “and I am God.
43:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ גַּם ־מִיּוֹם֙ אֲנִ֣י ה֔וּא וְאֵ֥ין מִיָּדִ֖י מַצִּ֑יל אֶפְעַ֖ל וּמִ֥י יְשִׁיבֶֽנָּה ׃ {ס}
ἔτι ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν μου ἐξαιρούμενος ποιήσω καὶ τίς ἀποστρέψει αὐτό
Et ab initio ego ipse , et non est qui de manu mea eruat . Operabor , et quis avertet illud ?
እምፍጥረት ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘያመሥጥ ፡ እምእዴየ ፤ ወዘገበርኩ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘይመይጥ ።
Yes, since the day was, I am he. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?”
43:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה גֹּאַלְכֶ֖ם קְד֣וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לְמַעַנְכֶ֞ם שִׁלַּ֣חְתִּי בָבֶ֗לָה וְהוֹרַדְתִּ֤י בָֽרִיחִים֙ כֻּלָּ֔ם וְכַשְׂדִּ֖ים בָּאֳנִיּ֥וֹת רִנָּתָֽם ׃
οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ λυτρούμενος ὑμᾶς ὁ ἅγιος Ισραηλ ἕνεκεν ὑμῶν ἀποστελῶ εἰς Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπεγερῶ πάντας φεύγοντας καὶ Χαλδαῖοι ἐν πλοίοις δεθήσονται
Haec dicit Dominus , redemptor vester , Sanctus Israël : Propter vos misi in Babylonem , et detraxi vectes universos , et Chaldaeos in navibus suis gloriantes .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዘአድኀነክሙ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እስራኤል ፤ ናሁ ፡ በእንቲአክሙ ፡ እፌኑ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ መራደ ፡ ወአነሥኦሙ ፡ ለኲሎሙ ፣፡ ወፋርስኒ ፡ ይትአሰሩ ፡ በመስዋሕት ።
Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: “For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.
43:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה קְדֽוֹשְׁכֶ֑ם בּוֹרֵ֥א יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מַלְכְּכֶֽם ׃ {ס}
ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἅγιος ὑμῶν ὁ καταδείξας Ισραηλ βασιλέα ὑμῶν
Ego Dominus , Sanctus vester , creans Israël , rex vester .
አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ዘአርእዩ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ንጉሥክሙ ።
I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”
43:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה הַנּוֹתֵ֥ן בַּיָּ֖ם דָּ֑רֶךְ וּבְמַ֥יִם עַזִּ֖ים נְתִיבָֽה ׃
οὕτως λέγει κύριος ὁ διδοὺς ὁδὸν ἐν θαλάσσῃ καὶ ἐν ὕδατι ἰσχυρῷ τρίβον
Haec dicit Dominus , qui dedit in mari viam , et in aquis torrentibus semitam ;
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዘወሀበ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወመጽያሕተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ብዙኅ ።
Yahweh, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,
43:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַמּוֹצִ֥יא רֶכֶב ־וָס֖וּס חַ֣יִל וְעִזּ֑וּז יַחְדָּ֤ו יִשְׁכְּבוּ֙ בַּל ־יָק֔וּמוּ דָּעֲכ֖וּ כַּפִּשְׁתָּ֥ה כָבֽוּ ׃
ὁ ἐξαγαγὼν ἅρματα καὶ ἵππον καὶ ὄχλον ἰσχυρόν ἀλλὰ ἐκοιμήθησαν καὶ οὐκ ἀναστήσονται ἐσβέσθησαν ὡς λίνον ἐσβεσμένον
qui eduxit quadrigam et equum , agmen et robustum : simul obdormierunt , nec resurgent ; contriti sunt quasi linum , et extincti sunt .
ዘያወፅእ ፡ ሠረገላ ፡ ወአፍራሰ ፡ ወሠራዊተ ፡ ጽኑዓነ ።
who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched like a wick) says:
43:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַֽל ־תִּזְכְּר֖וּ רִאשֹׁנ֑וֹת וְקַדְמֹנִיּ֖וֹת אַל ־תִּתְבֹּנָֽנוּ ׃
μὴ μνημονεύετε τὰ πρῶτα καὶ τὰ ἀρχαῖα μὴ συλλογίζεσθε
Ne memineritis priorum , et antiqua ne intueamini .
ኢትዜከሩ ፡ ዘትካት ፡ ወዘቀዲሙ ፡ ኢትሔልዩ ።
“Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old.
43:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנְנִ֨י עֹשֶׂ֤ה חֲדָשָׁה֙ עַתָּ֣ה תִצְמָ֔ח הֲל֖וֹא תֵּדָע֑וּהָ אַ֣ף אָשִׂ֤ים בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ דֶּ֔רֶךְ בִּישִׁמ֖וֹן נְהָרֽוֹת ׃
ἰδοὺ ποιῶ καινὰ ἃ νῦν ἀνατελεῖ καὶ γνώσεσθε αὐτά καὶ ποιήσω ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὁδὸν καὶ ἐν τῇ ἀνύδρῳ ποταμούς
Ecce ego facio nova , et nunc orientur , utique cognoscetis ea : ponam in deserto viam , et in invio flumina .
ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ እገብር ፡ ሐዲሰ ፡ ዘይእዜኒ ፡ ይሠርቅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታእምሩ ፤ ወእገብር ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በድው ፡ ወአውኅዝ ፡ ማየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ።
Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
43:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ תְּכַבְּדֵ֙נִי֙ חַיַּ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה תַּנִּ֖ים וּבְנ֣וֹת יַעֲנָ֑ה כִּֽי ־נָתַ֨תִּי בַמִּדְבָּ֜ר מַ֗יִם נְהָרוֹת֙ בִּֽישִׁימֹ֔ן לְהַשְׁק֖וֹת עַמִּ֥י בְחִירִֽי ׃
εὐλογήσει με τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ σειρῆνες καὶ θυγατέρες στρουθῶν ὅτι ἔδωκα ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὕδωρ καὶ ποταμοὺς ἐν τῇ ἀνύδρῳ ποτίσαι τὸ γένος μου τὸ ἐκλεκτόν
Glorificabit me bestia agri , dracones , et struthiones : quia dedi in deserto aquas , flumina in invio , ut darem potum populo meo , electo meo .
ወይድኅሩኒ ፡ አራዊተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወእጕለ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ወሴሪኒስ ፣፡ እስመ ፡ ወሀብኩ ፡ ማየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በድው ፡ ወአውኀዝኩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ከመ ፡ አስትዮሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ለኅሩያንየ ።
The animals of the field, the jackals and the ostriches, shall honor me, because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
43:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַם ־זוּ֙ יָצַ֣רְתִּי לִ֔י תְּהִלָּתִ֖י יְסַפֵּֽרוּ ׃ {ס}
λαόν μου ὃν περιεποιησάμην τὰς ἀρετάς μου διηγεῖσθαι
Populum istum formavi mihi : laudem meam narrabit .
እለ ፡ አጥረይኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይንግሩ ፡ ስብሐትየ ።
the people which I formed for myself, that they might declare my praise.
43:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹא ־אֹתִ֥י קָרָ֖אתָ יַעֲקֹ֑ב כִּֽי ־יָגַ֥עְתָּ בִּ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
οὐ νῦν ἐκάλεσά σε Ιακωβ οὐδὲ κοπιᾶσαί σε ἐποίησα Ισραηλ
Non me invocasti , Jacob , nec laborasti in me , Israël .
አኮ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ዘጸዋዕኩከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወኢያጽሐብኩከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.
43:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹֽא ־הֵבֵ֤יאתָ לִּי֙ שֵׂ֣ה עֹלֹתֶ֔יךָ וּזְבָחֶ֖יךָ לֹ֣א כִבַּדְתָּ֑נִי לֹ֤א הֶעֱבַדְתִּ֙יךָ֙ בְּמִנְחָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א הוֹגַעְתִּ֖יךָ בִּלְבוֹנָֽה ׃
οὐκ ἐμοὶ πρόβατα τῆς ὁλοκαρπώσεώς σου οὐδὲ ἐν ταῖς θυσίαις σου ἐδόξασάς με οὐδὲ ἔγκοπον ἐποίησά σε ἐν λιβάνῳ
Non obtulisti mihi arietem holocausti tui , et victimis tuis non glorificasti me ; non te servire feci in oblatione , nec laborem tibi praebui in thure .
እስመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ዘሦዕከ ፡ አባግዒከ ፡ ወኢሰባሕከኒ ፡ በመሥዋዕትከ ፡ ወኢያገበርኩከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሡዕ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ወኢያጽሐብኩከ ፡ በስኂን ።
You have not brought me any of your sheep for burnt offerings, neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.
43:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹא ־קָנִ֨יתָ לִּ֤י בַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ קָנֶ֔ה וְחֵ֥לֶב זְבָחֶ֖יךָ לֹ֣א הִרְוִיתָ֑נִי אַ֗ךְ הֶעֱבַדְתַּ֙נִי֙ בְּחַטֹּאותֶ֔יךָ הוֹגַעְתַּ֖נִי בַּעֲוֺנֹתֶֽיךָ ׃
οὐδὲ ἐκτήσω μοι ἀργυρίου θυμίαμα οὐδὲ τὸ στέαρ τῶν θυσιῶν σου ἐπεθύμησα ἀλλὰ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις σου καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἀδικίαις σου προέστην σου
Non emisti mihi argento calamum , et adipe victimarum tuarum non inebriasti me : verumtamen servire me fecisti in peccatis tuis ; praebuisti mihi laborem in iniquitatibus tuis .
ወኢተሣየጥከ ፡ ሊተ ፡ በወርቅ ፡ ዕጣነ ፣፡ ወኢፈተውኩ ፡ መሥዋዕተከ ፡ ወኢሥብሐ ፡ አባግዒከ ፤ ዳእሙ ፡ ቆምከ ፡ በኃጢአትከ ፡ ወበጌጋይከ ።
You have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices, but you have burdened me with your sins. You have wearied me with your iniquities.
43:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָנֹכִ֨י אָנֹכִ֥י ה֛וּא מֹחֶ֥ה פְשָׁעֶ֖יךָ לְמַעֲנִ֑י וְחַטֹּאתֶ֖יךָ לֹ֥א אֶזְכֹּֽר ׃
ἐγώ εἰμι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ἐξαλείφων τὰς ἀνομίας σου καὶ οὐ μὴ μνησθήσομαι
Ego sum , ego sum ipse qui deleo iniquitates tuas propter me , et peccatorum tuorum non recordabor .
አነኬ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘእደመስሶን ፡ ለኃጣውኢከ ፡ ወኢይዜከሮን ።
I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
43:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַזְכִּירֵ֕נִי נִשָּׁפְטָ֖ה יָ֑חַד סַפֵּ֥ר אַתָּ֖ה לְמַ֥עַן תִּצְדָּֽק ׃
σὺ δὲ μνήσθητι καὶ κριθῶμεν λέγε σὺ τὰς ἀνομίας σου πρῶτος ἵνα δικαιωθῇς
Reduc me in memoriam , et judicemur simul : narra si quid habes ut justificeris .
ወአንተሰ ፡ ትዜከር ፡ ወንትዋቀሥ ።
Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Declare your case, that you may be justified.
43:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָבִ֥יךָ הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן חָטָ֑א וּמְלִיצֶ֖יךָ פָּ֥שְׁעוּ בִֽי ׃
οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν πρῶτοι καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν ἠνόμησαν εἰς ἐμέ
Pater tuus primus peccavit , et interpretes tui praevaricati sunt in me :
ቀዳሚሁኒ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ ወመላእክቲክሙ ፡ ዐለዉኒ ።
Your first father sinned, and your teachers have transgressed against me.
43:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲחַלֵּ֖ל שָׂ֣רֵי קֹ֑דֶשׁ וְאֶתְּנָ֤ה לַחֵ֙רֶם֙ יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְגִדּוּפִֽים ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐμίαναν οἱ ἄρχοντες τὰ ἅγιά μου καὶ ἔδωκα ἀπολέσαι Ιακωβ καὶ Ισραηλ εἰς ὀνειδισμόν
et contaminavi principes sanctos ; dedi ad internecionem Jacob , et Israël in blasphemiam .
ወአርኰሱ ፡ መቅደስየ ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ አዘዝኩ ፡ ያጥፍእዎ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ያኅሥርዎ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel an insult.”
