54:1
רׇנִּ֥י עֲקָרָ֖ה לֹ֣א יָלָ֑דָה פִּצְחִ֨י רִנָּ֤ה וְצַֽהֲלִי֙ לֹא־חָ֔לָה כִּֽי־רַבִּ֧ים בְּֽנֵי־שׁוֹמֵמָ֛ה מִבְּנֵ֥י בְעוּלָ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃
εὐφράνθητι στεῖρα ἡ οὐ τίκτουσα ῥῆξον καὶ βόησον ἡ οὐκ ὠδίνουσα ὅτι πολλὰ τὰ τέκνα τῆς ἐρήμου μᾶλλον ἢ τῆς ἐχούσης τὸν ἄνδρα εἶπεν γὰρ κύριος
Lauda, sterilis, quae non paris ; decanta laudem, et hinni, quae non pariebas : quoniam multi filii desertae magis quam ejus quae habet virum, dicit Dominus.
ትትፌሣሕ፡ መካን፡ እንተ፡ ኢትወልድ፤ ትኬልሕ፡ ወተአወዩ፡ እንተ፡ ኢተሐምም፤ እስመ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ውሉዳ፡ ለመዓስብ፡ እምእንተ፡ ባቲ፡ ምተ።
“Sing, barren, you who didn’t give birth! Break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who didn’t travail with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says Yahweh.
54:2
הַרְחִ֣יבִי׀ מְק֣וֹם אׇהֳלֵ֗ךְ וִירִיע֧וֹת מִשְׁכְּנוֹתַ֛יִךְ יַטּ֖וּ אַל־תַּחְשֹׂ֑כִי הַאֲרִ֙יכִי֙ מֵיתָרַ֔יִךְ וִיתֵדֹתַ֖יִךְ חַזֵּֽקִי׃
πλάτυνον τὸν τόπον τῆς σκηνῆς σου καὶ τῶν αὐλαιῶν σου πῆξον μὴ φείσῃ μάκρυνον τὰ σχοινίσματά σου καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους σου κατίσχυσον
Dilata locum tentorii tui, et pelles tabernaculorum tuorum extende : ne parcas : longos fac funiculos tuos, et clavos tuos consolida.
አርሒቢ፡ መታክለ፡ ዘደብተራኪ፤ ወትክሊ፡ ዐፀደኪ፡ ወኢትምሐኪ፤ አንኂኬ፡ አሕባለኪ፡ ወአጽንዒ፡ መታክለኪ።
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
54:3
כִּֽי־יָמִ֥ין וּשְׂמֹ֖אול תִּפְרֹ֑צִי וְזַרְעֵךְ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם יִירָ֔שׁ וְעָרִ֥ים נְשַׁמּ֖וֹת יוֹשִֽׁיבוּ׃
ἔτι εἰς τὰ δεξιὰ καὶ εἰς τὰ ἀριστερὰ ἐκπέτασον καὶ τὸ σπέρμα σου ἔθνη κληρονομήσει καὶ πόλεις ἠρημωμένας κατοικιεῖς
Ad dexteram enim et ad laevam penetrabis, et semen tuum gentes haereditabit, et civitates desertas inhabitabit.
ዓዲ፡ ለፀጋም፡ ወለየማን፡ አንጦልዒ፤ እስመ፡ ዘርእኪ፡ ይወርሱ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወትነብሪ፡ አህጉረ፡ መዝበረ።
For you will spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and settle in desolate cities.
54:4
אַל־תִּֽירְאִי֙ כִּֽי־לֹ֣א תֵב֔וֹשִׁי וְאַל־תִּכָּלְמִ֖י כִּ֣י לֹ֣א תַחְפִּ֑ירִי כִּ֣י בֹ֤שֶׁת עֲלוּמַ֙יִךְ֙ תִּשְׁכָּ֔חִי וְחֶרְפַּ֥ת אַלְמְנוּתַ֖יִךְ לֹ֥א תִזְכְּרִי־עֽוֹד׃
μὴ φοβοῦ ὅτι κατῃσχύνθης μηδὲ ἐντραπῇς ὅτι ὠνειδίσθης ὅτι αἰσχύνην αἰώνιον ἐπιλήσῃ καὶ ὄνειδος τῆς χηρείας σου οὐ μὴ μνησθήσῃ
Noli timere, quia non confunderis, neque erubesces ; non enim te pudebit, quia confusionis adolescentiae tuae oblivisceris, et opprobrii viduitatis tuae non recordaberis amplius.
ኢትፍርሂ፡ እስመ፡ ተኀፈርኪ፡ ወኢትኅፈሪ፡ እስመ፡ ጸዐሉኪ፤ ወትረስዒ፡ ኃፍረተኪ፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ወኢትዜከርዮ፡ ለጽዕለትኪ፡ ዘአመ፡ ማዕሰብኪ።
“Don’t be afraid, for you will not be ashamed. Don’t be confounded, for you will not be disappointed. For you will forget the shame of your youth. You will remember the reproach of your widowhood no more.
54:5
כִּ֤י בֹעֲלַ֙יִךְ֙ עֹשַׂ֔יִךְ יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁמ֑וֹ וְגֹֽאֲלֵךְ֙ קְד֣וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֱלֹהֵ֥י כׇל־הָאָ֖רֶץ יִקָּרֵֽא׃
ὅτι κύριος ὁ ποιῶν σε κύριος σαβαωθ ὄνομα αὐτῷ καὶ ὁ ῥυσάμενός σε αὐτὸς θεὸς Ισραηλ πάσῃ τῇ γῇ κληθήσεται
Quia dominabitur tui qui fecit te, Dominus exercituum nomen ejus, et redemptor tuus, Sanctus Israël : Deus omnis terrae vocabitur.
እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘገብረ፡ ለኪ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፡ ስሙ፤ ወውእቱ፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ዘአድኀነኪ፡ ዘይሰመይ፡ በኵሉ፡ ምድር።
For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Armies is his name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of the whole earth.
54:6
כִּֽי־כְאִשָּׁ֧ה עֲזוּבָ֛ה וַעֲצ֥וּבַת ר֖וּחַ קְרָאָ֣ךְ יְהֹוָ֑ה וְאֵ֧שֶׁת נְעוּרִ֛ים כִּ֥י תִמָּאֵ֖ס אָמַ֥ר אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃
οὐχ ὡς γυναῖκα καταλελειμμένην καὶ ὀλιγόψυχον κέκληκέν σε κύριος οὐδ’ ὡς γυναῖκα ἐκ νεότητος μεμισημένην εἶπεν ὁ θεός σου
Quia ut mulierem derelictam et moerentem spiritu vocavit te Dominus, et uxorem ab adolescentia abjectam, dixit Deus tuus.
አኮ፡ ከመ፡ ብእሲት፡ ኅድግት፡ ወዕንብዝት፡ ዘጸውዐኪ፡ እግዚአብሔር፣፡ ወአኮ፡ ከመ፡ ብእሲት፡ ጽዕልት፡ እምንእሳ፡ ይቤ፡ አምላክኪ።
For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God.
54:7
בְּרֶ֥גַע קָטֹ֖ן עֲזַבְתִּ֑יךְ וּבְרַחֲמִ֥ים גְּדֹלִ֖ים אֲקַבְּצֵֽךְ׃
χρόνον μικρὸν κατέλιπόν σε καὶ μετὰ ἐλέους μεγάλου ἐλεήσω σε
Ad punctum in modico dereliqui te, et in miserationibus magnis congregabo te.
ኅዳጠ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ኀደጉኪ፡ ወበዓቢይ፡ ምሕረት፡ እሠሀለኪ።
“For a small moment I have forsaken you, but I will gather you with great mercies.
54:8
בְּשֶׁ֣צֶף קֶ֗צֶף הִסְתַּ֨רְתִּי פָנַ֥י רֶ֙גַע֙ מִמֵּ֔ךְ וּבְחֶ֥סֶד עוֹלָ֖ם רִחַמְתִּ֑יךְ אָמַ֥ר גֹּאֲלֵ֖ךְ יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
ἐν θυμῷ μικρῷ ἀπέστρεψα τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ ἐν ἐλέει αἰωνίῳ ἐλεήσω σε εἶπεν ὁ ῥυσάμενός σε κύριος
In momento indignationis abscondi faciem meam parumper a te ; et in misericordia sempiterna misertus sum tui, dixit redemptor tuus, Dominus.
በኅዳጥ፡ መዐት፡ ሜጥኩ፡ ገጽየ፡ እምኔኪ፡ ወበምሕረት፡ ዘለዓለም፡ እሠሀለኪ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘአድኀነኪ።
In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer.
54:9
כִּֽי־מֵ֥י נֹ֙חַ֙ זֹ֣את לִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִשְׁבַּ֗עְתִּי מֵעֲבֹ֥ר מֵי־נֹ֛חַ ע֖וֹד עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ כֵּ֥ן נִשְׁבַּ֛עְתִּי מִקְּצֹ֥ף עָלַ֖יִךְ וּמִגְּעׇר־בָּֽךְ׃
ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ ἐπὶ Νωε τοῦτό μοί ἐστιν καθότι ὤμοσα αὐτῷ ἐν τῷ χρόνῳ ἐκείνῳ τῇ γῇ μὴ θυμωθήσεσθαι ἐπὶ σοὶ ἔτι μηδὲ ἐν ἀπειλῇ σου
Sicut in diebus Noë istud mihi est, cui juravi ne inducerem aquas Noë ultra super terram ; sic juravi ut non irascar tibi, et non increpem te.
እምነ፡ ማይ፡ ዘአመ፡ ኖኅ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ውእቱ፡ ስምዕየ፤ ዘከመ፡ ቀዲሙ፡ መሐልኩ፡ ለምድር፡ ከመ፡ ኢይትመዐዓ፡ እንከ።
“For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
54:10
כִּ֤י הֶהָרִים֙ יָמ֔וּשׁוּ וְהַגְּבָע֖וֹת תְּמוּטֶ֑ינָה וְחַסְדִּ֞י מֵאִתֵּ֣ךְ לֹא־יָמ֗וּשׁ וּבְרִ֤ית שְׁלוֹמִי֙ לֹ֣א תָמ֔וּט אָמַ֥ר מְרַחֲמֵ֖ךְ יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
τὰ ὄρη μεταστήσεσθαι οὐδὲ οἱ βουνοί σου μετακινηθήσονται οὕτως οὐδὲ τὸ παρ’ ἐμοῦ σοι ἔλεος ἐκλείψει οὐδὲ ἡ διαθήκη τῆς εἰρήνης σου οὐ μὴ μεταστῇ εἶπεν γὰρ κύριος ἵλεώς σοι
Montes enim commovebuntur, et colles contremiscent ; misericordia autem mea non recedet a te, et foedus pacis meae non movebitur, dixit miserator tuus Dominus.
ወከመ፡ ኢይቅሥፎሙ፡ ለአድባር፡ ወኢያፈልሶሙ፣፡ ወከመ፡ ኢይትሐወሱ፡ አውግርኪ።
For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed, but my loving kindness will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you.
54:11
עֲנִיָּ֥ה סֹעֲרָ֖ה לֹ֣א נֻחָ֑מָה הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י מַרְבִּ֤יץ בַּפּוּךְ֙ אֲבָנַ֔יִךְ וִֽיסַדְתִּ֖יךְ בַּסַּפִּירִֽים׃
ταπεινὴ καὶ ἀκατάστατος οὐ παρεκλήθης ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἑτοιμάζω σοὶ ἄνθρακα τὸν λίθον σου καὶ τὰ θεμέλιά σου σάπφειρον
Paupercula, tempestate convulsa absque ulla consolatione, ecce ego sternam per ordinem lapides tuos, et fundabo te in sapphiris :
ወትነብብ፡ በእንተ፡ ሕምምት፡ ወትሕት፡ ወኅዝንት።
“You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.
54:12
וְשַׂמְתִּ֤י כַּֽדְכֹד֙ שִׁמְשֹׁתַ֔יִךְ וּשְׁעָרַ֖יִךְ לְאַבְנֵ֣י אֶקְדָּ֑ח וְכׇל־גְּבוּלֵ֖ךְ לְאַבְנֵי־חֵֽפֶץ׃
καὶ θήσω τὰς ἐπάλξεις σου ἴασπιν καὶ τὰς πύλας σου λίθους κρυστάλλου καὶ τὸν περίβολόν σου λίθους ἐκλεκτοὺς
et ponam jaspidem propugnacula tua, et portas tuas in lapides sculptos, et omnes terminos tuos in lapides desiderabiles ;
ወአረፋትኪ፡ ዘከርከዴን፡ ወአናቅጽኪ፡ ዘቢረሌ፡ ወአልባስኪኒ፡ ዘዕንቍ፡ ክቡር።
I will make your pinnacles of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.
54:13
וְכׇל־בָּנַ֖יִךְ לִמּוּדֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְרַ֖ב שְׁל֥וֹם בָּנָֽיִךְ׃
καὶ πάντας τοὺς υἱούς σου διδακτοὺς θεοῦ καὶ ἐν πολλῇ εἰρήνῃ τὰ τέκνα σου
universos filios tuos doctos a Domino, et multitudinem pacis filiis tuis.
ወኵሎሙ፡ ደቂቅኪ፡ ምሁራን፡ በኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፤ ወውስተ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ሰላም፡ ደቂቅኪ።
All your children will be taught by Yahweh, and your children’s peace will be great.
54:14
בִּצְדָקָ֖ה תִּכּוֹנָ֑נִי רַחֲקִ֤י מֵעֹ֙שֶׁק֙ כִּי־לֹ֣א תִירָ֔אִי וּמִ֨מְּחִתָּ֔ה כִּ֥י לֹֽא־תִקְרַ֖ב אֵלָֽיִךְ׃
καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ οἰκοδομηθήσῃ ἀπέχου ἀπὸ ἀδίκου καὶ οὐ φοβηθήσῃ καὶ τρόμος οὐκ ἐγγιεῖ σοι
Et in justitia fundaberis : recede procul a calumnia, quia non timebis, et a pavore, quia non appropinquabit tibi.
ወናሁ፡ ትትሐነጺ፡ በጽድቅ።
You will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, for you will not be afraid, and far from terror, for it shall not come near you.
54:15
הֵ֣ן גּ֥וֹר יָג֛וּר אֶ֖פֶס מֵאוֹתִ֑י מִי־גָ֥ר אִתָּ֖ךְ עָלַ֥יִךְ יִפּֽוֹל׃
ἰδοὺ προσήλυτοι προσελεύσονταί σοι δῑ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ σὲ καταφεύξονται
Ecce accola veniet qui non erat mecum, advena quondam tuus adjungetur tibi.
ናሁ፡ ፈላስያን፡ ይመጽኡ፡ እንተ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ወይትመሐፀኑ፡ ብኪ።
Behold, they may gather together, but not by me. Whoever gathers together against you will fall because of you.
54:16
(הן) [הִנֵּ֤ה] אָנֹכִי֙ בָּרָ֣אתִי חָרָ֔שׁ נֹפֵ֙חַ֙ בְּאֵ֣שׁ פֶּחָ֔ם וּמוֹצִ֥יא כְלִ֖י לְמַעֲשֵׂ֑הוּ וְאָנֹכִ֛י בָּרָ֥אתִי מַשְׁחִ֖ית לְחַבֵּֽל׃
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κτίζω σε οὐχ ὡς χαλκεὺς φυσῶν ἄνθρακας καὶ ἐκφέρων σκεῦος εἰς ἔργον ἐγὼ δὲ ἔκτισά σε οὐκ εἰς ἀπώλειαν φθεῖραι
Ecce ego creavi fabrum sufflantem in igne prunas, et proferentem vas in opus suum ; et ego creavi interfectorem ad disperdendum.
ናሁ፡ አነ፡ እፈጥረኪ፤ አኮ፡ ከመ፡ ነሃቢ፡ ዘይበቍጽ፡ አፍሐመ፡ ወያወፅእ፡ ንዋየ፡ ምግባሩ፤ ወአንሰ፡ ፈጠርኩኪ፡ ለሠናይ፡ ወአኮ፡ ለሕርትምና።
“Behold, I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame, and forges a weapon for his work; and I have created the destroyer to destroy.
54:17
כׇּל־כְּלִ֞י יוּצַ֤ר עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ לֹ֣א יִצְלָ֔ח וְכׇל־לָשׁ֛וֹן תָּקוּם־אִתָּ֥ךְ לַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט תַּרְשִׁ֑יעִי זֹ֡את נַחֲלַת֩ עַבְדֵ֨י יְהֹוָ֧ה וְצִדְקָתָ֛ם מֵאִתִּ֖י נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
πᾶν σκεῦος φθαρτόν ἐπὶ σὲ οὐκ εὐοδώσω καὶ πᾶσα φωνὴ ἀναστήσεται ἐπὶ σὲ εἰς κρίσιν πάντας αὐτοὺς ἡττήσεις οἱ δὲ ἔνοχοί σου ἔσονται ἐν αὐτῇ ἔστιν κληρονομία τοῖς θεραπεύουσιν κύριον καὶ ὑμεῖς ἔσεσθέ μοι δίκαιοι λέγει κύριος
Omne vas quod fictum est contra te, non dirigetur, et omnem linguam resistentem tibi in judicio, judicabis. Haec est haereditas servorum Domini, et justitia eorum apud me, dicit Dominus.
ወይትነሣእ፡ ኵሉ፡ ቃል፡ ወይትዋቀሠኪ፣፡ ወባሕቱ፡ ትመውኢዮሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ወይወርስዎሙ፡ ሰብእኪ።
No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.
