60:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ ק֥וּמִי א֖וֹרִי כִּ֣י בָ֣א אוֹרֵ֑ךְ וּכְב֥וֹד יְהֹוָ֖ה עָלַ֥יִךְ זָרָֽח ׃
φωτίζου φωτίζου Ιερουσαλημ ἥκει γάρ σου τὸ φῶς καὶ ἡ δόξα κυρίου ἐπὶ σὲ ἀνατέταλκεν
Surge , illuminare , Jerusalem , quia venit lumen tuum , et gloria Domini super te orta est .
አብርሂ ፡ አብርሂ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፣፡ በጽሐ ፡ ብርሃንኪ ፡ ወስብሐተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሠረቀ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ።
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you!
60:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּֽי ־הִנֵּ֤ה הַחֹ֙שֶׁךְ֙ יְכַסֶּה ־אֶ֔רֶץ וַעֲרָפֶ֖ל לְאֻמִּ֑ים וְעָלַ֙יִךְ֙ יִזְרַ֣ח יְהֹוָ֔ה וּכְבוֹד֖וֹ עָלַ֥יִךְ יֵרָאֶֽה ׃
ἰδοὺ σκότος καὶ γνόφος καλύψει γῆν ἐπ’ ἔθνη ἐπὶ δὲ σὲ φανήσεται κύριος καὶ ἡ δόξα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ σὲ ὀφθήσεται
Quia ecce tenebrae operient terram , et caligo populos ; super te autem orietur Dominus , et gloria ejus in te videbitur .
ናሁ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ከደና ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወቆባር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ ወለኪሰ ፡ ብርሃነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወስብሐቲሁ ፡ ነዋ ፡ አስተርአያ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ።
For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.
60:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָלְכ֥וּ גוֹיִ֖ם לְאוֹרֵ֑ךְ וּמְלָכִ֖ים לְנֹ֥גַהּ זַרְחֵֽךְ ׃
καὶ πορεύσονται βασιλεῖς τῷ φωτί σου καὶ ἔθνη τῇ λαμπρότητί σου
Et ambulabunt gentes in lumine tuo , et reges in splendore ortus tui .
ወየሐውሩ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ በብርሃንኪ ፡ ወአሕዛብኒ ፡ በፀዳልኪ ።
Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
60:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ שְׂאִֽי ־סָבִ֤יב עֵינַ֙יִךְ֙ וּרְאִ֔י כֻּלָּ֖ם נִקְבְּצ֣וּ בָֽאוּ ־לָ֑ךְ בָּנַ֙יִךְ֙ מֵרָח֣וֹק יָבֹ֔אוּ וּבְנוֹתַ֖יִךְ עַל ־צַ֥ד תֵּאָמַֽנָה ׃
ἆρον κύκλῳ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδὲ συνηγμένα τὰ τέκνα σου ἰδοὺ ἥκασιν πάντες οἱ υἱοί σου μακρόθεν καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου ἐπ’ ὤμων ἀρθήσονται
Leva in circuitu oculos tuos , et vide : omnes isti congregati sunt , venerunt tibi ; filii tui de longe venient et filiae tuae de latere surgent .
አንሥኢ ፡ አዕይንተኪ ፡ ወነጽሪ ፡ ዐውደኪ ፡ ወርእዪ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተጋብኡ ፡ ደቂቅኪ ፤ ወመጽኡ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ውሉድኪ ፡ እምርኁቅ ፡ ወለአዋልድኪኒ ፡ ይጸውርዎን ፡ በመታክፍት ።
“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.
60:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָ֤ז תִּרְאִי֙ וְנָהַ֔רְתְּ וּפָחַ֥ד וְרָחַ֖ב לְבָבֵ֑ךְ כִּֽי ־יֵהָפֵ֤ךְ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ הֲמ֣וֹן יָ֔ם חֵ֥יל גּוֹיִ֖ם יָבֹ֥אוּ לָֽךְ ׃
τότε ὄψῃ καὶ φοβηθήσῃ καὶ ἐκστήσῃ τῇ καρδίᾳ ὅτι μεταβαλεῖ εἰς σὲ πλοῦτος θαλάσσης καὶ ἐθνῶν καὶ λαῶν καὶ ἥξουσίν σοι
Tunc videbis , et afflues ; mirabitur et dilatabitur cor tuum : quando conversa fuerit ad te multitudo maris ; fortitudo gentium venerit tibi .
ወትሬእዪ ፡ ሶቤሃ ፡ ወትፈርሂ ፡ ወይደነግፀኪ ፡ ልበኪ ፣፡ እስመ ፡ ይትመየጥ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ ብዕለ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወዘአሕዛብ ፡ ወዘበሐውርት ።
Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.
60:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ שִֽׁפְעַ֨ת גְּמַלִּ֜ים תְּכַסֵּ֗ךְ בִּכְרֵ֤י מִדְיָן֙ וְעֵיפָ֔ה כֻּלָּ֖ם מִשְּׁבָ֣א יָבֹ֑אוּ זָהָ֤ב וּלְבוֹנָה֙ יִשָּׂ֔אוּ וּתְהִלֹּ֥ת יְהֹוָ֖ה יְבַשֵּֽׂרוּ ׃
ἀγέλαι καμήλων καὶ καλύψουσίν σε κάμηλοι Μαδιαμ καὶ Γαιφα πάντες ἐκ Σαβα ἥξουσιν φέροντες χρυσίον καὶ λίβανον οἴσουσιν καὶ τὸ σωτήριον κυρίου εὐαγγελιοῦνται
Inundatio camelorum operiet te , dromedarii Madian et Epha ; omnes de Saba venient , aurum et thus deferentes , et laudem Domino annuntiantes .
ወያመጽኡ ፡ መራዕየ ፡ አግማል ፡ ወይከድኑኪ ፡ አግማለ ፡ ምድያም ፡ ወኤፋ ።
A multitude of camels will cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. All from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense, and will proclaim the praises of Yahweh.
60:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּל ־צֹ֤אן קֵדָר֙ יִקָּ֣בְצוּ לָ֔ךְ אֵילֵ֥י נְבָי֖וֹת יְשָֽׁרְת֑וּנֶךְ יַעֲל֤וּ עַל ־רָצוֹן֙ מִזְבְּחִ֔י וּבֵ֥ית תִּפְאַרְתִּ֖י אֲפָאֵֽר ׃
καὶ πάντα τὰ πρόβατα Κηδαρ συναχθήσονταί σοι καὶ κριοὶ Ναβαιωθ ἥξουσίν σοι καὶ ἀνενεχθήσεται δεκτὰ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριόν μου καὶ ὁ οἶκος τῆς προσευχῆς μου δοξασθήσεται
Omne pecus Cedar congregabitur tibi ; arietes Nabaioth ministrabunt tibi : offerentur super placabili altari meo , et domum majestatis meae glorificabo .
ወይትጋብኡ ፡ አባግዐ ፡ ቄዳት ፡ ወያመጽኡ ፡ ሐራጊተ ፡ ዘናቤዎን ፣፡ ወያዐርጉ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ኅሩየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምሥዋዕየ ፡ ወይሴባሕ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ጸሎትየ ።
All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.
60:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִי ־אֵ֖לֶּה כָּעָ֣ב תְּעוּפֶ֑ינָה וְכַיּוֹנִ֖ים אֶל ־אֲרֻבֹּתֵיהֶֽם ׃
τίνες οἵδε ὡς νεφέλαι πέτανται καὶ ὡς περιστεραὶ σὺν νεοσσοῖς
Qui sunt isti qui ut nubes volant , et quasi columbae ad fenestras suas ?
መኑ ፡ እሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ይሰርሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ደመና ፡ ወከመ ፡ ርግብ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እጐሊሃ ።
“Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
60:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי ־לִ֣י ׀ אִיִּ֣ים יְקַוּ֗וּ וׇאֳנִיּ֤וֹת תַּרְשִׁישׁ֙ בָּרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה לְהָבִ֤יא בָנַ֙יִךְ֙ מֵרָח֔וֹק כַּסְפָּ֥ם וּזְהָבָ֖ם אִתָּ֑ם לְשֵׁם֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהַ֔יִךְ וְלִקְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כִּ֥י פֵאֲרָֽךְ ׃
ἐμὲ νῆσοι ὑπέμειναν καὶ πλοῖα Θαρσις ἐν πρώτοις ἀγαγεῖν τὰ τέκνα σου μακρόθεν καὶ τὸν ἄργυρον καὶ τὸν χρυσὸν μετ’ αὐτῶν διὰ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τὸ ἅγιον καὶ διὰ τὸ τὸν ἅγιον τοῦ Ισραηλ ἔνδοξον εἶναι
Me enim insulae exspectant , et naves maris in principio , ut adducam filios tuos de longe ; argentum eorum , et aurum eorum cum eis , nomini Domini Dei tui , et Sancto Israël , quia glorificavit te .
ኪያየ ፡ ይሴፈዋ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ ወይቀድማ ፣፡ ወያመጽኣ ፡ አሕማረ ፡ ተርሴስ ፡ ደቂቀኪ ፡ እምርኁቅ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ወምስሌሆሙ ፡ ወርቆሙ ፡ ወብሩሮሙ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ክቡር ።
Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.
60:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבָנ֤וּ בְנֵֽי ־נֵכָר֙ חֹמֹתַ֔יִךְ וּמַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם יְשָֽׁרְת֑וּנֶךְ כִּ֤י בְקִצְפִּי֙ הִכִּיתִ֔יךְ וּבִרְצוֹנִ֖י רִחַמְתִּֽיךְ ׃
καὶ οἰκοδομήσουσιν ἀλλογενεῖς τὰ τείχη σου καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν παραστήσονταί σοι διὰ γὰρ ὀργήν μου ἐπάταξά σε καὶ διὰ ἔλεον ἠγάπησά σε
Et aedificabunt filii peregrinorum muros tuos , et reges eorum ministrabunt tibi ; in indignatione enim mea percussi te , et in reconciliatione mea misertus sum tui .
ወአሕዛብ ፡ የሐንጹ ፡ አረፋተኪ ፡ ወይቀውሙ ፡ ቅድሜኪ ፡ ነገሥቶሙ ፤ እስመ ፡ በመዐትየ ፡ ቀሠፍኩኪ ፡ ወበምሕረትየ ፡ አቅረብኩኪ ።
“Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.
60:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּפִתְּח֨וּ שְׁעָרַ֧יִךְ תָּמִ֛יד יוֹמָ֥ם וָלַ֖יְלָה לֹ֣א יִסָּגֵ֑רוּ לְהָבִ֤יא אֵלַ֙יִךְ֙ חֵ֣יל גּוֹיִ֔ם וּמַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם נְהוּגִֽים ׃
καὶ ἀνοιχθήσονται αἱ πύλαι σου διὰ παντός ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς οὐ κλεισθήσονται εἰσαγαγεῖν πρὸς σὲ δύναμιν ἐθνῶν καὶ βασιλεῖς ἀγομένους
Et aperientur portae tuae jugiter ; die ac nocte non claudentur , ut afferatur ad te fortitudo gentium , et reges earum adducantur .
ወበኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ይትረኀዉ ፡ አናቅጽኪ ፣፡ መዓልተ ፡ ወሌሊተ ፡ ኢይትዐጸው ፣፡ ወይበውእ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ ኃይለ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወነገሥቶሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ያመጽእዎሙ ።
Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.
60:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּֽי ־הַגּ֧וֹי וְהַמַּמְלָכָ֛ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא ־יַעַבְד֖וּךְ יֹאבֵ֑דוּ וְהַגּוֹיִ֖ם חָרֹ֥ב יֶחֱרָֽבוּ ׃
τὰ γὰρ ἔθνη καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς οἵτινες οὐ δουλεύσουσίν σοι ἀπολοῦνται καὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἐρημίᾳ ἐρημωθήσονται
Gens enim et regnum quod non servierit tibi peribit , et gentes solitudine vastabuntur .
ወነገሥት ፡ እለ ፡ ኢይትቀነዩ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ይመውቱ ፣፡ ወአሕዛብኒ ፡ ጠፊአ ፡ ይጠፍኡ ።
For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
60:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ כְּב֤וֹד הַלְּבָנוֹן֙ אֵלַ֣יִךְ יָב֔וֹא בְּר֛וֹשׁ תִּדְהָ֥ר וּתְאַשּׁ֖וּר יַחְדָּ֑ו לְפָאֵר֙ מְק֣וֹם מִקְדָּשִׁ֔י וּמְק֥וֹם רַגְלַ֖י אֲכַבֵּֽד ׃
καὶ ἡ δόξα τοῦ Λιβάνου πρὸς σὲ ἥξει ἐν κυπαρίσσῳ καὶ πεύκῃ καὶ κέδρῳ ἅμα δοξάσαι τὸν τόπον τὸν ἅγιόν μου
Gloria Libani ad te veniet , abies , et buxus , et pinus simul ad ornandum locum sanctificationis meae ; et locum pedum meorum glorificabo .
ወይመጽእ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ ክብረ ፡ ሊባኖስ ፡ በኤላጡኑስ ፡ ወበሕቍ ፡ ወበአርዝ ፡ ኅቡረ ፣፡ ወይሴባሕ ፡ ቤተ ፡ መቅደስየ ።
“The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
60:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָלְכ֨וּ אֵלַ֤יִךְ שְׁח֙וֹחַ֙ בְּנֵ֣י מְעַנַּ֔יִךְ וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֛וּ עַל ־כַּפּ֥וֹת רַגְלַ֖יִךְ כׇּל ־מְנַאֲצָ֑יִךְ וְקָ֤רְאוּ לָךְ֙ עִ֣יר יְהֹוָ֔ה צִיּ֖וֹן קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ πορεύσονται πρὸς σὲ δεδοικότες υἱοὶ ταπεινωσάντων σε καὶ παροξυνάντων σε καὶ κληθήσῃ πόλις κυρίου Σιων ἁγίου Ισραηλ
Et venient ad te curvi filii eorum qui humiliaverunt te , et adorabunt vestigia pedum tuorum omnes qui detrahebant tibi : et vocabunt te civitatem Domini , Sion Sancti Israël .
ወይመጽኡ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይፈርሁ ፣፡ ወያመጽኡ ፡ አምኃ ፡ ደቂቆሙ ፡ እልኩ ፡ እለ ፡ አምዕዑኪ ፣፡ ወትሰመዪ ፡ ሀገረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ጽዮን ።
The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you Yahweh’s City, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
60:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ תַּ֧חַת הֱיוֹתֵ֛ךְ עֲזוּבָ֥ה וּשְׂנוּאָ֖ה וְאֵ֣ין עוֹבֵ֑ר וְשַׂמְתִּיךְ֙ לִגְא֣וֹן עוֹלָ֔ם מְשׂ֖וֹשׂ דּ֥וֹר וָדֽוֹר ׃
διὰ τὸ γεγενῆσθαί σε ἐγκαταλελειμμένην καὶ μεμισημένην καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ βοηθῶν καὶ θήσω σε ἀγαλλίαμα αἰώνιον εὐφροσύνην γενεῶν γενεαῖς
Pro eo quod fuisti derelicta et odio habita , et non erat qui per te transiret : ponam te in superbiam saeculorum , gaudium in generationem et generationem :
እስመ ፡ ኅድግተ ፡ ኮንኪ ፡ ወጽልእተ ፡ ወኀጣእኪ ፡ ዘይረድአኪ ።
“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
60:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָנַקְתְּ֙ חֲלֵ֣ב גּוֹיִ֔ם וְשֹׁ֥ד מְלָכִ֖ים תִּינָ֑קִי וְיָדַ֗עַתְּ כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ מֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֔ךְ וְגֹאֲלֵ֖ךְ אֲבִ֥יר יַעֲקֹֽב ׃
καὶ θηλάσεις γάλα ἐθνῶν καὶ πλοῦτον βασιλέων φάγεσαι καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ σῴζων σε καὶ ἐξαιρούμενός σε θεὸς Ισραηλ
et suges lac gentium , et mamilla regum lactaberis ; et scies quia ego Dominus salvans te , et redemptor tuus , Fortis Jacob .
ወትትሐፀኒ ፡ በሐሊበ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወትበልዒ ፡ ብዕለ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወነገሥት ፤ ወተአምሪ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘአድኅነኪ ፡ ወዘአነግፈኪ ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
60:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ תַּ֣חַת הַנְּחֹ֜שֶׁת אָבִ֣יא זָהָ֗ב וְתַ֤חַת הַבַּרְזֶל֙ אָ֣בִיא כֶ֔סֶף וְתַ֤חַת הָעֵצִים֙ נְחֹ֔שֶׁת וְתַ֥חַת הָאֲבָנִ֖ים בַּרְזֶ֑ל וְשַׂמְתִּ֤י פְקֻדָּתֵךְ֙ שָׁל֔וֹם וְנֹגְשַׂ֖יִךְ צְדָקָֽה ׃
καὶ ἀντὶ χαλκοῦ οἴσω σοι χρυσίον ἀντὶ δὲ σιδήρου οἴσω σοι ἀργύριον ἀντὶ δὲ ξύλων οἴσω σοι χαλκόν ἀντὶ δὲ λίθων σίδηρον καὶ δώσω τοὺς ἄρχοντάς σου ἐν εἰρήνῃ καὶ τοὺς ἐπισκόπους σου ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ
Pro aere afferam aurum , et pro ferro afferam argentum , et pro lignis aes , et pro lapidibus ferrum : et ponam visitationem tuam pacem , et praepositos tuos justitiam .
ወናሁ ፡ እሁበኪ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ብርት ፡ ወርቀ ፣፡ ወህየንተ ፡ ኀፂን ፡ ብሩረ ፣፡ ወህየንተ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ብርተ ፣፡ ወህየንተ ፡ እብን ፡ ኀፂነ ።
For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.
60:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹא ־יִשָּׁמַ֨ע ע֤וֹד חָמָס֙ בְּאַרְצֵ֔ךְ שֹׁ֥ד וָשֶׁ֖בֶר בִּגְבוּלָ֑יִךְ וְקָרָ֤את יְשׁוּעָה֙ חוֹמֹתַ֔יִךְ וּשְׁעָרַ֖יִךְ תְּהִלָּֽה ׃
καὶ οὐκ ἀκουσθήσεται ἔτι ἀδικία ἐν τῇ γῇ σου οὐδὲ σύντριμμα οὐδὲ ταλαιπωρία ἐν τοῖς ὁρίοις σου ἀλλὰ κληθήσεται σωτήριον τὰ τείχη σου καὶ αἱ πύλαι σου γλύμμα
Non audietur ultra iniquitas in terra tua ; vastitas et contritio in terminis tuis : et occupabit salus muros tuos , et portas tuas laudatio .
ወኢይሰማዕ ፡ እንከ ፡ ዓመፃ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምድርኪ ፡ ወኢኃሣር ፡ ወኢተቀጥቅጦ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ብሔርኪ ፣፡ ወይሰመይ ፡ አጽዋንኪ ፡ መድኃኒተ ፡ ወይትገለፍ ፡ አናቅጽኪ ።
Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor desolation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.
60:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹא ־יִֽהְיֶה ־לָּ֨ךְ ע֤וֹד הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ לְא֣וֹר יוֹמָ֔ם וּלְנֹ֕גַהּ הַיָּרֵ֖חַ לֹא ־יָאִ֣יר לָ֑ךְ וְהָֽיָה ־לָ֤ךְ יְהֹוָה֙ לְא֣וֹר עוֹלָ֔ם וֵאלֹהַ֖יִךְ לְתִפְאַרְתֵּֽךְ ׃
καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι ὁ ἥλιος εἰς φῶς ἡμέρας οὐδὲ ἀνατολὴ σελήνης φωτιεῖ σοι τὴν νύκτα ἀλλ’ ἔσται σοι κύριος φῶς αἰώνιον καὶ ὁ θεὸς δόξα σου
Non erit tibi amplius sol ad lucendum per diem , nec splendor lunae illuminabit te : sed erit tibi Dominus in lucem sempiternam , et Deus tuus in gloriam tuam .
ወአኮ ፡ እንከ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ዘያበርህ ፡ ለኪ ፡ መዓልተ ፣፡ ወአኮ ፡ እንከ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ዘይሠርቅ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ሌሊተ ፣፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ለኪሰ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ብርሃንኪ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወአምላክኪ ፡ ክብርኪ ።
The sun will be no more your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
60:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹא ־יָב֥וֹא עוֹד֙ שִׁמְשֵׁ֔ךְ וִירֵחֵ֖ךְ לֹ֣א יֵאָסֵ֑ף כִּ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה יִֽהְיֶה ־לָּךְ֙ לְא֣וֹר עוֹלָ֔ם וְשָׁלְמ֖וּ יְמֵ֥י אֶבְלֵֽךְ ׃
οὐ γὰρ δύσεται ὁ ἥλιός σοι καὶ ἡ σελήνη σοι οὐκ ἐκλείψει ἔσται γὰρ κύριός σοι φῶς αἰώνιον καὶ ἀναπληρωθήσονται αἱ ἡμέραι τοῦ πένθους σου
Non occidet ultra sol tuus , et luna tua non minuetur , quia erit tibi Dominus in lucem sempiternam , et complebuntur dies luctus tui .
እስመ ፡ ኢየዐርብ ፡ ፀሐይኪ ፡ ወኢየኀልቅ ፡ ወርኅኪ ፤ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ብርሃንኪ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወየኀልፍ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ላሕኪ ።
Your sun will not go down any more, nor will your moon withdraw itself; for Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will end.
60:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַמֵּךְ֙ כֻּלָּ֣ם צַדִּיקִ֔ים לְעוֹלָ֖ם יִ֣ירְשׁוּ אָ֑רֶץ נֵ֧צֶר (מטעו ) [מַטָּעַ֛י ] מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדַ֖י לְהִתְפָּאֵֽר ׃
καὶ ὁ λαός σου πᾶς δίκαιος καὶ δῑ αἰῶνος κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γῆν φυλάσσων τὸ φύτευμα ἔργα χειρῶν αὐτοῦ εἰς δόξαν
Populus autem tuus omnes justi ; in perpetuum haereditabunt terram : germen plantationis meae , opus manus meae ad glorificandum .
ወይጸድቁ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብኪ ፡ ወይወርሱ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ምድረ ፣፡ ወየዐቅቡ ፡ ተግባረ ፡ እደዊሁ ፡ ለስብሐቲሁ ።
Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
60:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַקָּטֹן֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָאֶ֔לֶף וְהַצָּעִ֖יר לְג֣וֹי עָצ֑וּם אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה בְּעִתָּ֥הּ אֲחִישֶֽׁנָּה ׃ {ס}
ὁ ὀλιγοστὸς ἔσται εἰς χιλιάδας καὶ ὁ ἐλάχιστος εἰς ἔθνος μέγα ἐγὼ κύριος κατὰ καιρὸν συνάξω αὐτούς
Minimus erit in mille , et parvulus in gentem fortissimam . Ego Dominus in tempore ejus subito faciam istud .
ወእለሂ ፡ ይውሕዱ ፡ የአክሉ ፡ እልፈ ፣፡ ወእለሂ ፡ ይቴሐቱ ፡ ይከውኑ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ጽኑዓ ፤ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አስተጋብኦሙ ፡ በበዕድሜሆሙ ።
The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, Yahweh, will do this quickly in its time.”
