61:1
ר֛וּחַ אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֖ה עָלָ֑י יַ֡עַן מָשַׁח֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֹתִ֜י לְבַשֵּׂ֣ר עֲנָוִ֗ים שְׁלָחַ֙נִי֙ לַחֲבֹ֣שׁ לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־לֵ֔ב לִקְרֹ֤א לִשְׁבוּיִם֙ דְּר֔וֹר וְלַאֲסוּרִ֖ים פְּקַח־קֽוֹחַ׃
πνεῦμα κυρίου ἐπ’ ἐμέ οὗ εἵνεκεν ἔχρισέν με εὐαγγελίσασθαι πτωχοῖς ἀπέσταλκέν με ἰάσασθαι τοὺς συντετριμμένους τῇ καρδίᾳ κηρύξαι αἰχμαλώτοις ἄφεσιν καὶ τυφλοῖς ἀνάβλεψιν
Spiritus Domini super me, eo quod unxerit Dominus me ; ad annuntiandum mansuetis misit me, ut mederer contritis corde, et praedicarem captivis indulgentiam, et clausis apertionem ;
መንፈሰ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕሌየ፡ በእንቲአሁ፡ ዘቀብአኒ፡ አስተፍሥሖሙ፡ ለነዳያን፡ ፈነወኒ፡ ወእፈውሶሙ፡ ለቍሱላነ፡ ልብ፡ ወእስብክ፡ ግዕዛነ፡ ለፂውዋን፡ ወይርአዩ፡ ዕዉራን።
The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound,
61:2
לִקְרֹ֤א שְׁנַת־רָצוֹן֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה וְי֥וֹם נָקָ֖ם לֵאלֹהֵ֑ינוּ לְנַחֵ֖ם כׇּל־אֲבֵלִֽים׃
καλέσαι ἐνιαυτὸν κυρίου δεκτὸν καὶ ἡμέραν ἀνταποδόσεως παρακαλέσαι πάντας τοὺς πενθοῦντας
ut praedicarem annum placabilem Domino, et diem ultionis Deo nostro ; ut consolarer omnes lugentes,
ወእስምዮ፡ ለዓመተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኅሪተ፡ ወለዕለተ፡ ፍዳ፤ አስተፍሥሖሙ፡ ለልሕዋን።
to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
61:3
לָשׂ֣וּם׀ לַאֲבֵלֵ֣י צִיּ֗וֹן לָתֵת֩ לָהֶ֨ם פְּאֵ֜ר תַּ֣חַת אֵ֗פֶר שֶׁ֤מֶן שָׂשׂוֹן֙ תַּ֣חַת אֵ֔בֶל מַעֲטֵ֣ה תְהִלָּ֔ה תַּ֖חַת ר֣וּחַ כֵּהָ֑ה וְקֹרָ֤א לָהֶם֙ אֵילֵ֣י הַצֶּ֔דֶק מַטַּ֥ע יְהֹוָ֖ה לְהִתְפָּאֵֽר׃
δοθῆναι τοῖς πενθοῦσιν Σιων δόξαν ἀντὶ σποδοῦ ἄλειμμα εὐφροσύνης τοῖς πενθοῦσιν καταστολὴν δόξης ἀντὶ πνεύματος ἀκηδίας καὶ κληθήσονται γενεαὶ δικαιοσύνης φύτευμα κυρίου εἰς δόξαν
ut ponerem lugentibus Sion, et darem eis coronam pro cinere, oleum gaudii pro luctu, pallium laudis pro spiritu moeroris ; et vocabuntur in ea fortes justitiae, plantatio Domini ad glorificandum.
ወአሀቦሙ፡ ክብረ፡ ለእለ፡ ይላሕውዋ፡ ለጽዮን፡ ህየንተ፡ ሐመድ፤ ዕፍረተ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ ለእለ፡ ይላሕው፡ ወልብሰ፡ ክብር፡ ህየንተ፡ መንፈስ፡ ትኩዝ፤ ወይሰመዩ፡ ትውልደ፡ ጻድቃን፣፡ ተክል፡ ዘእምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለስብሐት።
to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.
61:4
וּבָנוּ֙ חׇרְב֣וֹת עוֹלָ֔ם שֹׁמְמ֥וֹת רִאשֹׁנִ֖ים יְקוֹמֵ֑מוּ וְחִדְּשׁוּ֙ עָ֣רֵי חֹ֔רֶב שֹׁמְמ֖וֹת דּ֥וֹר וָדֽוֹר׃
καὶ οἰκοδομήσουσιν ἐρήμους αἰωνίας ἐξηρημωμένας πρότερον ἐξαναστήσουσιν καὶ καινιοῦσιν πόλεις ἐρήμους ἐξηρημωμένας εἰς γενεάς
Et aedificabunt deserta a saeculo, et ruinas antiquas erigent, et instaurabunt civitates desertas, dissipatas in generationem et generationem.
ወየሐንጹ፡ መዝበረ፡ ለዓለም፤ ያንሥኡ፡ ዘመዝበረ፡ ቀዲሙ፡ ወይሔድሱ፡ አህጉረ፡ ዘመዝበረ፡ ለትውልደ፡ ትውልድ።
They will rebuild the old ruins. They will raise up the former devastated places. They will repair the ruined cities that have been devastated for many generations.
61:5
וְעָמְד֣וּ זָרִ֔ים וְרָע֖וּ צֹאנְכֶ֑ם וּבְנֵ֣י נֵכָ֔ר אִכָּרֵיכֶ֖ם וְכֹרְמֵיכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἥξουσιν ἀλλογενεῖς ποιμαίνοντες τὰ πρόβατά σου καὶ ἀλλόφυλοι ἀροτῆρες καὶ ἀμπελουργοί
Et stabunt alieni, et pascent pecora vestra, et filii peregrinorum agricolae et vinitores vestri erunt.
ወእምዝ፡ ይመጽኡ፡ ካልኣን፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወይሬዕዩ፡ አባግዒከ፣፡ ወሕዝብ፡ ነኪራን፡ ይከውኑ፡ ሎሙ፡ ሐራስያነ፡ ወዓቃብያነ፡ ወይን።
Strangers will stand and feed your flocks. Foreigners will work your fields and your vineyards.
61:6
וְאַתֶּ֗ם כֹּהֲנֵ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ תִּקָּרֵ֔אוּ מְשָׁרְתֵ֣י אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ יֵאָמֵ֖ר לָכֶ֑ם חֵ֤יל גּוֹיִם֙ תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ וּבִכְבוֹדָ֖ם תִּתְיַמָּֽרוּ׃
ὑμεῖς δὲ ἱερεῖς κυρίου κληθήσεσθε λειτουργοὶ θεοῦ ἰσχὺν ἐθνῶν κατέδεσθε καὶ ἐν τῷ πλούτῳ αὐτῶν θαυμασθήσεσθε
Vos autem sacerdotes Domini vocabimini : Ministri Dei nostri, dicetur vobis, fortitudinem gentium comedetis, et in gloria earum superbietis.
ወአንትሙሰ፡ ትሰመዩ፡ ካህናቲሁ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወአግብርተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፣፡ ወትበልዑ፡ ኃይለ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወትትሬሰዩ፡ በብዕሎሙ።
But you will be called Yahweh’s priests. Men will call you the servants of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations. You will boast in their glory.
61:7
תַּ֤חַת בׇּשְׁתְּכֶם֙ מִשְׁנֶ֔ה וּכְלִמָּ֖ה יָרֹ֣נּוּ חֶלְקָ֑ם לָכֵ֤ן בְּאַרְצָם֙ מִשְׁנֶ֣ה יִירָ֔שׁוּ שִׂמְחַ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם תִּהְיֶ֥ה לָהֶֽם׃
οὕτως ἐκ δευτέρας κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γῆν καὶ εὐφροσύνη αἰώνιος ὑπὲρ κεφαλῆς αὐτῶν
Pro confusione vestra duplici et rubore, laudabunt partem suam ; propter hoc in terra sua duplicia possidebunt, laetitia sempiterna erit eis.
ወይወርሱ፡ ካልእተ፡ ምድረ፡ ወውስተ፡ ርእሶሙ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ ዘለዓለም።
Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them.
61:8
כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ אֹהֵ֣ב מִשְׁפָּ֔ט שֹׂנֵ֥א גָזֵ֖ל בְּעוֹלָ֑ה וְנָתַתִּ֤י פְעֻלָּתָם֙ בֶּאֱמֶ֔ת וּבְרִ֥ית עוֹלָ֖ם אֶכְר֥וֹת לָהֶֽם׃
ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι κύριος ὁ ἀγαπῶν δικαιοσύνην καὶ μισῶν ἁρπάγματα ἐξ ἀδικίας καὶ δώσω τὸν μόχθον αὐτῶν δικαίοις καὶ διαθήκην αἰώνιον διαθήσομαι αὐτοῖς
Quia ego Dominus diligens judicium, et odio habens rapinam in holocausto ; et dabo opus eorum in veritate, et foedus perpetuum feriam eis.
እስመ፡ አነ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘአፈቅር፡ ጽድቀ፡ ወእጸልእ፡ ሀይደ፡ ወዓመፃ።
“For I, Yahweh, love justice. I hate robbery and iniquity. I will give them their reward in truth and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
61:9
וְנוֹדַ֤ע בַּגּוֹיִם֙ זַרְעָ֔ם וְצֶאֱצָאֵיהֶ֖ם בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעַמִּ֑ים כׇּל־רֹֽאֵיהֶם֙ יַכִּיר֔וּם כִּ֛י הֵ֥ם זֶ֖רַע בֵּרַ֥ךְ יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ γνωσθήσεται ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἔκγονα αὐτῶν πᾶς ὁ ὁρῶν αὐτοὺς ἐπιγνώσεται αὐτούς ὅτι οὗτοί εἰσιν σπέρμα ηὐλογημένον ὑπὸ θεοῦ
Et scient in gentibus semen eorum, et germen eorum in medio populorum ; omnes qui viderint eos cognoscent illos, quia isti sunt semen cui benedixit Dominus.
ወይትዐወቅ፡ ዘርኦሙ፡ በውስተ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወትውልዶሙ፡ በማእከለ፡ አሕዛብ።
Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are the offspring which Yahweh has blessed.”
61:10
שׂ֧וֹשׂ אָשִׂ֣ישׂ בַּֽיהֹוָ֗ה תָּגֵ֤ל נַפְשִׁי֙ בֵּֽאלֹהַ֔י כִּ֤י הִלְבִּישַׁ֙נִי֙ בִּגְדֵי־יֶ֔שַׁע מְעִ֥יל צְדָקָ֖ה יְעָטָ֑נִי כֶּֽחָתָן֙ יְכַהֵ֣ן פְּאֵ֔ר וְכַכַּלָּ֖ה תַּעְדֶּ֥ה כֵלֶֽיהָ׃
καὶ εὐφροσύνῃ εὐφρανθήσονται ἐπὶ κύριον ἀγαλλιάσθω ἡ ψυχή μου ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ ἐνέδυσεν γάρ με ἱμάτιον σωτηρίου καὶ χιτῶνα εὐφροσύνης ὡς νυμφίῳ περιέθηκέν μοι μίτραν καὶ ὡς νύμφην κατεκόσμησέν με κόσμῳ
Gaudens gaudebo in Domino, et exsultabit anima mea in Deo meo, quia induit me vestimentis salutis, et indumento justitiae circumdedit me, quasi sponsum decoratum corona, et quasi sponsam ornatam monilibus suis.
ወይትፌሥሑ፡ ትፍሥሕተ፡ በእግዚአብሔር።
I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
61:11
כִּ֤י כָאָ֙רֶץ֙ תּוֹצִ֣יא צִמְחָ֔הּ וּכְגַנָּ֖ה זֵרוּעֶ֣יהָ תַצְמִ֑יחַ כֵּ֣ן׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֗ה יַצְמִ֤יחַ צְדָקָה֙ וּתְהִלָּ֔ה נֶ֖גֶד כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃
καὶ ὡς γῆν αὔξουσαν τὸ ἄνθος αὐτῆς καὶ ὡς κῆπος τὰ σπέρματα αὐτοῦ οὕτως ἀνατελεῖ κύριος δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν
Sicut enim terra profert germen suum, et sicut hortus semen suum germinat, sic Dominus Deus germinabit justitiam et laudem coram universis gentibus.
ወከመ፡ ፍሬ፡ ገራህት፡ ስሙር፡ ወከመ፡ ዘርአ፡ ገነት፣፡ ከማሁ፡ ያሠርቅ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጽድቀ፡ ወኃሤት፡ በቅድመ፡ ኵሉ፡ አሕዛብ።
For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so the Lord Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
