📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Lift up your eyes all around and see your children gathered together. Behold, all your sons have come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on shoulders.
Then you shall see and fear and be amazed in heart, for the wealth of the sea and of nations and of peoples shall be turned over to you, and they shall come to you.
Herds of camels, and the camels of Madiam and Gaipha shall cover you; all those from Saba shall come bringing gold, and they shall bring frankincense, and they shall proclaim the good news of the salvation of the Lord.
And all the sheep of Kedar shall be gathered to you, and the rams of Nabaioth shall come to you; and acceptable offerings shall be brought up upon my altar, and my house of prayer shall be glorified.
The islands have waited for me, and the ships of Tharsis among the first, to bring your children from afar, and with them their silver and their gold, for the sake of the holy name of the Lord, and because the Holy One of Israel is glorious.
And your gates shall be open continually; day and night they shall not be shut, to bring in to you the power of the nations, and their kings being led along.
And the sons of those who humbled you and provoked you shall come to you in fear; and you shall be called the City of the Lord, Sion of the Holy One of Israel.
Because you had become forsaken and hated, and there was no helper, therefore I will make you an everlasting exultation, a joy of generations upon generations.
And you shall suck the milk of nations, and shall eat the wealth of kings; and you shall know that I am the Lord who saves you and delivers you, the God of Israel.
And instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and instead of iron I will bring you silver, and instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and instead of stones iron; and I will appoint your rulers in peace and your overseers in righteousness.
And injustice shall no longer be heard in your land, nor ruin nor misery within your borders; but your walls shall be called Salvation, and your gates, Carved Work.
And the sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor shall the rising of the moon give light to you by night; but the Lord shall be to you an everlasting light, and God your glory.
For your sun shall no longer set, and your moon shall not wane; for the Lord shall be to you an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be fulfilled.
