62:1
לְמַ֤עַן צִיּוֹן֙ לֹ֣א אֶחֱשֶׁ֔ה וּלְמַ֥עַן יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם לֹ֣א אֶשְׁק֑וֹט עַד־יֵצֵ֤א כַנֹּ֙גַהּ֙ צִדְקָ֔הּ וִישׁוּעָתָ֖הּ כְּלַפִּ֥יד יִבְעָֽר׃
διὰ Σιων οὐ σιωπήσομαι καὶ διὰ Ιερουσαλημ οὐκ ἀνήσω ἕως ἂν ἐξέλθῃ ὡς φῶς ἡ δικαιοσύνη μου τὸ δὲ σωτήριόν μου ὡς λαμπὰς καυθήσεται
Propter Sion non tacebo, et propter Jerusalem non quiescam, donec egrediatur ut splendor justus ejus, et salvator ejus ut lampas accendatur.
ወኢያረምም፡ በእንተ፡ ጽዮን፡ ወኢየኀድግ፡ በእንተ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፣፡ እስከ፡ ትወፅእ፡ ጽድቅየ፡ ከመ፡ ብርሃን፡ ወተኀቱ፡ መድኃኒትየ፡ ከመ፡ ማኅቶት።
For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp.
62:2
וְרָא֤וּ גוֹיִם֙ צִדְקֵ֔ךְ וְכׇל־מְלָכִ֖ים כְּבוֹדֵ֑ךְ וְקֹ֤רָא לָךְ֙ שֵׁ֣ם חָדָ֔שׁ אֲשֶׁ֛ר פִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה יִקֳּבֶֽנּוּ׃
καὶ ὄψονται ἔθνη τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου καὶ βασιλεῖς τὴν δόξαν σου καὶ καλέσει σε τὸ ὄνομά σου τὸ καινόν ὃ ὁ κύριος ὀνομάσει αὐτό
Et videbunt gentes justum tuum, et cuncti reges inclytum tuum ; et vocabitur tibi nomen novum, quod os Domini nominabit.
ወይሬእዩ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ጽድቀኪ፡ ወነገሥትኒ፡ ስብሐተኪ፡ ወይሰመይ፡ ስመኪ፡ ሐዲሰ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር፡ ሰመየኪ።
The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name, which Yahweh’s mouth will name.
62:3
וְהָיִ֛ית עֲטֶ֥רֶת תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת בְּיַד־יְהֹוָ֑ה (וצנוף) [וּצְנִ֥יף] מְלוּכָ֖ה בְּכַף־אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃
καὶ ἔσῃ στέφανος κάλλους ἐν χειρὶ κυρίου καὶ διάδημα βασιλείας ἐν χειρὶ θεοῦ σου
Et eris corona gloriae in manu Domini, et diadema regni in manu Dei tui.
ወትከውኒ፡ አክሊለ፡ ሠናየ፡ ውስተ፡ እደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወቀጸላ፡ መንግሥት፡ ውስተ፡ እደ፡ አምላክኪ።
You will also be a crown of beauty in Yahweh’s hand, and a royal diadem in your God’s hand.
62:4
לֹא־יֵאָמֵר֩ לָ֨ךְ ע֜וֹד עֲזוּבָ֗ה וּלְאַרְצֵךְ֙ לֹא־יֵאָמֵ֥ר עוֹד֙ שְׁמָמָ֔ה כִּ֣י לָ֗ךְ יִקָּרֵא֙ חֶפְצִי־בָ֔הּ וּלְאַרְצֵ֖ךְ בְּעוּלָ֑ה כִּֽי־חָפֵ֤ץ יְהֹוָה֙ בָּ֔ךְ וְאַרְצֵ֖ךְ תִּבָּעֵֽל׃
καὶ οὐκέτι κληθήσῃ καταλελειμμένη καὶ ἡ γῆ σου οὐ κληθήσεται ἔρημος σοὶ γὰρ κληθήσεται θέλημα ἐμόν καὶ τῇ γῇ σου οἰκουμένη
Non vocaberis ultra Derelicta, et terra tua non vocabitur amplius Desolata ; sed vocaberis, Voluntas mea in ea, et terra tua Inhabitata, quia complacuit Domino in te, et terra tua inhabitabitur.
ወኢትሰመዪ፡ እንከ፡ ኅድግተ፡ ወኢትሰመይ፡ እንከ፡ ምድርኪ፡ በድወ።
You will not be called Forsaken any more, nor will your land be called Desolate any more; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for Yahweh delights in you, and your land will be married.
62:5
כִּֽי־יִבְעַ֤ל בָּחוּר֙ בְּתוּלָ֔ה יִבְעָל֖וּךְ בָּנָ֑יִךְ וּמְשׂ֤וֹשׂ חָתָן֙ עַל־כַּלָּ֔ה יָשִׂ֥ישׂ עָלַ֖יִךְ אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃
καὶ ὡς συνοικῶν νεανίσκος παρθένῳ οὕτως κατοικήσουσιν οἱ υἱοί σου μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ἔσται ὃν τρόπον εὐφρανθήσεται νυμφίος ἐπὶ νύμφῃ οὕτως εὐφρανθήσεται κύριος ἐπὶ σοί
Habitabit enim juvenis cum virgine, et habitabunt in te filii tui ; et gaudebit sponsus super sponsam, et gaudebit super te Deus tuus.
ወከመ፡ ይነብር፡ ወሬዛ፡ ምስለ፡ ድንግል፡ ከማሁ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ደቂቅኪ፤ ወከመ፡ ይትፌሣሕ፡ መርዓዊ፡ በመርዓቱ፡ ከማሁ፡ ይትፌሣሕ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ብኪ።
For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.
62:6
עַל־חוֹמֹתַ֣יִךְ יְרוּשָׁלַ֗͏ִם הִפְקַ֙דְתִּי֙ שֹֽׁמְרִ֔ים כׇּל־הַיּ֧וֹם וְכׇל־הַלַּ֛יְלָה תָּמִ֖יד לֹ֣א יֶחֱשׁ֑וּ הַמַּזְכִּרִים֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה אַל־דֳּמִ֖י לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν τειχέων σου Ιερουσαλημ κατέστησα φύλακας ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν καὶ ὅλην τὴν νύκτα οἳ διὰ τέλους οὐ σιωπήσονται μιμνῃσκόμενοι κυρίου
Super muros tuos, Jerusalem, constitui custodes ; tota die et tota nocte in perpetuum non tacebunt. Qui reminiscimini Domini, ne taceatis,
ወአነብር፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ መዓቅበ፡ ዲበ፡ አረፋትኪ፡ መዓልተ፡ ወሌሊተ፡ እለ፡ ኢያረምሙ፡ እንዘ፡ ይዜከርዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. They will never be silent day nor night. You who call on Yahweh, take no rest,
62:7
וְאַֽל־תִּתְּנ֥וּ דֳמִ֖י ל֑וֹ עַד־יְכוֹנֵ֞ן וְעַד־יָשִׂ֧ים אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ֛͏ִם תְּהִלָּ֖ה בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
οὐκ ἔστιν γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅμοιος ἐὰν διορθώσῃ καὶ ποιήσῃ Ιερουσαλημ ἀγαυρίαμα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
et ne detis silentium ei, donec stabiliat et donec ponat Jerusalem laudem in terra.
ኢታርምሙ፡ ሎቱ፡ እስከ፡ ይሠርዕ፡ ወእስከ፡ ይሬሲ፡ ትፍሥሕተ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም፡ በዲበ፡ ምድር።
and give him no rest until he establishes, and until he makes Jerusalem a praise on the earth.
62:8
נִשְׁבַּ֧ע יְהֹוָ֛ה בִּימִינ֖וֹ וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ עֻזּ֑וֹ אִם־אֶתֵּן֩ אֶת־דְּגָנֵ֨ךְ ע֤וֹד מַֽאֲכָל֙ לְאֹ֣יְבַ֔יִךְ וְאִם־יִשְׁתּ֤וּ בְנֵֽי־נֵכָר֙ תִּֽירוֹשֵׁ֔ךְ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָגַ֖עַתְּ בּֽוֹ׃
ὤμοσεν κύριος κατὰ τῆς δεξιᾶς αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τῆς ἰσχύος τοῦ βραχίονος αὐτοῦ εἰ ἔτι δώσω τὸν σῖτόν σου καὶ τὰ βρώματά σου τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου καὶ εἰ ἔτι πίονται υἱοὶ ἀλλότριοι τὸν οἶνόν σου ἐφ’ ᾧ ἐμόχθησας
Juravit Dominus in dextera sua, et in brachio fortitudinis suae : Si dedero triticum tuum ultra cibum inimicis tuis ; et si biberint filii alieni vinum tuum in quo laborasti.
መሐለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በስብሐቲሁ፡ ወበኃይለ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይሁብ፡ እንከ፡ እክለኪ፡ ወስርነናየኪ፡ ለፀር፣፡ ወአኢይሰትይዎ፡ እንከ፡ ፀር፡ ለዓለም፡ ለወይንኪ፡ ዘተገበርኪ።
Yahweh has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, “Surely I will no more give your grain to be food for your enemies, and foreigners will not drink your new wine, for which you have labored,
62:9
כִּ֤י מְאַסְפָיו֙ יֹאכְלֻ֔הוּ וְהִֽלְל֖וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה וּמְקַבְּצָ֥יו יִשְׁתֻּ֖הוּ בְּחַצְר֥וֹת קׇדְשִֽׁי׃ {ס}
ἀλλ’ ἢ οἱ συνάγοντες φάγονται αὐτὰ καὶ αἰνέσουσιν κύριον καὶ οἱ συνάγοντες πίονται αὐτὰ ἐν ταῖς ἐπαύλεσιν ταῖς ἁγίαις μου
Quia qui congregant illud, comedent, et laudabunt Dominum ; et qui comportant illud, bibent in atriis sanctis meis.
ዳእሙ፡ ዘአስተጋብኦ፡ ይበልዖ፡ ወይሴብሖ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፣፡ ወእለ፡ አስተጋብእዎ፡ ይሰትይዎ፡ በአህጉርየ፡ ቅዱሳት።
but those who have harvested it will eat it, and praise Yahweh. Those who have gathered it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”
62:10
עִבְר֤וּ עִבְרוּ֙ בַּשְּׁעָרִ֔ים פַּנּ֖וּ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הָעָ֑ם סֹ֣לּוּ סֹ֤לּוּ הַֽמְסִלָּה֙ סַקְּל֣וּ מֵאֶ֔בֶן הָרִ֥ימוּ נֵ֖ס עַל־הָעַמִּֽים׃
πορεύεσθε διὰ τῶν πυλῶν μου καὶ ὁδοποιήσατε τῷ λαῷ μου καὶ τοὺς λίθους τοὺς ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ διαρρίψατε ἐξάρατε σύσσημον εἰς τὰ ἔθνη
Transite, transite per portas, praeparate viam populo : planum facite iter, eligite lapides, et elevate signum ad populos.
ሖሩ፡ ባኡ፡ እንተ፡ አንቀጽየ፡ ወጺሑ፡ ፍኖተ፡ ለሕዝብየ፤ ወአእትቱ፡ እብነ፡ እምፍኖት፡ ወንሥኡ፡ ትእምርተ፡ ለአሕዛብ።
Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way of the people! Build up, build up the highway! Gather out the stones! Lift up a banner for the peoples.
62:11
הִנֵּ֣ה יְהֹוָ֗ה הִשְׁמִ֙יעַ֙ אֶל־קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ אִמְרוּ֙ לְבַת־צִיּ֔וֹן הִנֵּ֥ה יִשְׁעֵ֖ךְ בָּ֑א הִנֵּ֤ה שְׂכָרוֹ֙ אִתּ֔וֹ וּפְעֻלָּת֖וֹ לְפָנָֽיו׃
ἰδοὺ γὰρ κύριος ἐποίησεν ἀκουστὸν ἕως ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς εἴπατε τῇ θυγατρὶ Σιων ἰδού σοι ὁ σωτὴρ παραγίνεται ἔχων τὸν ἑαυτοῦ μισθὸν καὶ τὸ ἔργον πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ
Ecce Dominus auditum fecit in extremis terrae : Dicite filiae Sion : Ecce Salvator tuus venit ; ecce merces ejus cum eo, et opus ejus coram illo.
ናሁ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ይገብር፡ መንክረ፡ እስከ፡ አጽናፈ፡ ምድር።
Behold, Yahweh has proclaimed to the end of the earth: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your salvation comes! Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him!’”
62:12
וְקָרְא֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם עַם־הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ גְּאוּלֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְלָךְ֙ יִקָּרֵ֣א דְרוּשָׁ֔ה עִ֖יר לֹ֥א נֶעֱזָֽבָה׃ {ס}
καὶ καλέσει αὐτὸν λαὸν ἅγιον λελυτρωμένον ὑπὸ κυρίου σὺ δὲ κληθήσῃ ἐπιζητουμένη πόλις καὶ οὐκ ἐγκαταλελειμμένη
Et vocabunt eos, Populus sanctus, redempti a Domino ; tu autem vocaberis, Quaesita civitas, et non Derelicta.
ወትሰመዩ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ቅዱሰ፡ ዘአድኀነ፡ እግዚአብሔር፤ አንቲኒ፡ ትሰመዪ፡ ቅድስተ፡ ሀገረ፡ እንተ፡ ይፈቅድዋ፡ ወአኮ፡ እንተ፡ የኀድግዋ።
They will call them “The Holy People, Yahweh’s Redeemed”. You will be called “Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken”.
