63:1
מִי־זֶ֣ה׀ בָּ֣א מֵאֱד֗וֹם חֲמ֤וּץ בְּגָדִים֙ מִבׇּצְרָ֔ה זֶ֚ה הָד֣וּר בִּלְבוּשׁ֔וֹ צֹעֶ֖ה בְּרֹ֣ב כֹּח֑וֹ אֲנִ֛י מְדַבֵּ֥ר בִּצְדָקָ֖ה רַ֥ב לְהוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃
τίς οὗτος ὁ παραγινόμενος ἐξ Εδωμ ἐρύθημα ἱματίων ἐκ Βοσορ οὕτως ὡραῖος ἐν στολῇ βίᾳ μετὰ ἰσχύος ἐγὼ διαλέγομαι δικαιοσύνην καὶ κρίσιν σωτηρίου
Quis est iste, qui venit de Edom, tinctis vestibus de Bosra ? iste formosus in stola sua, gradiens in multitudine fortitudinis suae ? Ego qui loquor justitiam, et propugnator sum ad salvandum.
መኑ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ዘበጽሐ፡ እምዔዶም፣፡ ቀይሐ፡ አልባስ፡ እምባሶር፤ መካሕ፡ ብእሲ፡ ወኃያል፡ ወግሩም፡ በልብሰቱ።
Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? Who is this who is glorious in his clothing, marching in the greatness of his strength? “It is I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
63:2
מַדּ֥וּעַ אָדֹ֖ם לִלְבוּשֶׁ֑ךָ וּבְגָדֶ֖יךָ כְּדֹרֵ֥ךְ בְּגַֽת׃
διὰ τί σου ἐρυθρὰ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ τὰ ἐνδύματά σου ὡς ἀπὸ πατητοῦ ληνοῦ
Quare ergo rubrum est indumentum tuum, et vestimenta tua sicut calcantium in torculari ?
ለምንት፡ ቀይሕ፡ አልባሲከ፡ ወክዳንከኒ፡ ወፅአ፡ እምክያድ።
Why is your clothing red, and your garments like him who treads in the wine vat?
63:3
פּוּרָ֣ה׀ דָּרַ֣כְתִּי לְבַדִּ֗י וּמֵֽעַמִּים֙ אֵֽין־אִ֣ישׁ אִתִּ֔י וְאֶדְרְכֵ֣ם בְּאַפִּ֔י וְאֶרְמְסֵ֖ם בַּחֲמָתִ֑י וְיֵ֤ז נִצְחָם֙ עַל־בְּגָדַ֔י וְכׇל־מַלְבּוּשַׁ֖י אֶגְאָֽלְתִּי׃
πλήρης καταπεπατημένης καὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν οὐκ ἔστιν ἀνὴρ μετ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ κατεπάτησα αὐτοὺς ἐν θυμῷ καὶ κατέθλασα αὐτοὺς ὡς γῆν καὶ κατήγαγον τὸ αἷμα αὐτῶν εἰς γῆν
Torcular calcavi solus, et de gentibus non est vir mecum ; calcavi eos in furore meo, et conculcavi eos in ira mea : et aspersus est sanguis eorum super vestimenta mea, et omnia indumenta mea inquinavi.
ወኬድክዎ፡ ለምክያድ፡ ባሕቲትየ፡ ወአልቦ፡ እምአሕዛብ፡ ምስሌየ።
“I have trodden the wine press alone. Of the peoples, no one was with me. Yes, I trod them in my anger and trampled them in my wrath. Their lifeblood is sprinkled on my garments, and I have stained all my clothing.
63:4
כִּ֛י י֥וֹם נָקָ֖ם בְּלִבִּ֑י וּשְׁנַ֥ת גְּאוּלַ֖י בָּֽאָה׃
ἡμέρα γὰρ ἀνταποδόσεως ἐπῆλθεν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐνιαυτὸς λυτρώσεως πάρεστιν
Dies enim ultionis in corde meo ; annus redemptionis meae venit.
እስመ፡ በጽሐቶሙ፡ ዕለተ፡ ፍዳሆሙ፡ ወመጽአት፡ ዕለተ፡ ቤዛ።
For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed has come.
63:5
וְאַבִּיט֙ וְאֵ֣ין עֹזֵ֔ר וְאֶשְׁתּוֹמֵ֖ם וְאֵ֣ין סוֹמֵ֑ךְ וַתּ֤וֹשַֽׁע־לִי֙ זְרֹעִ֔י וַחֲמָתִ֖י הִ֥יא סְמָכָֽתְנִי׃
καὶ ἐπέβλεψα καὶ οὐδεὶς βοηθός καὶ προσενόησα καὶ οὐθεὶς ἀντελαμβάνετο καὶ ἐρρύσατο αὐτοὺς ὁ βραχίων μου καὶ ὁ θυμός μου ἐπέστη
Circumspexi, et non erat auxiliator ; quaesivi, et non fuit qui adjuvaret : et salvavit mihi brachium meum, et indignatio mea ipsa auxiliata est mihi.
ወርኢኩ፡ ከመ፡ አልቦ፡ ዘይረድእ፣፡ ወአእመርኩ፡ ከመ፡ አልቦ፡ ዘይትወከፍ።
I looked, and there was no one to help; and I wondered that there was no one to uphold. Therefore my own arm brought salvation to me. My own wrath upheld me.
63:6
וְאָב֤וּס עַמִּים֙ בְּאַפִּ֔י וַאֲשַׁכְּרֵ֖ם בַּחֲמָתִ֑י וְאוֹרִ֥יד לָאָ֖רֶץ נִצְחָֽם׃ {ס}
καὶ κατεπάτησα αὐτοὺς τῇ ὀργῇ μου καὶ κατήγαγον τὸ αἷμα αὐτῶν εἰς γῆν
Et conculcavi populos in furore meo, et inebriavi eos in indignatione mea, et detraxi in terram virtutem eorum.
ወኬደቶሙ፡ መቅሠፍትየ፡ ወከዐውኩ፡ ደሞሙ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር።
I trod down the peoples in my anger and made them drunk in my wrath. I poured their lifeblood out on the earth.”
63:7
חַֽסְדֵ֨י יְהֹוָ֤ה׀אַזְכִּיר֙ תְּהִלֹּ֣ת יְהֹוָ֔ה כְּעַ֕ל כֹּ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־גְּמָלָ֖נוּ יְהֹוָ֑ה וְרַב־טוּב֙ לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁר־גְּמָלָ֥ם כְּֽרַחֲמָ֖יו וּכְרֹ֥ב חֲסָדָֽיו׃
τὸν ἔλεον κυρίου ἐμνήσθην τὰς ἀρετὰς κυρίου ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ὁ κύριος ἡμῖν ἀνταποδίδωσιν κύριος κριτὴς ἀγαθὸς τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ ἐπάγει ἡμῖν κατὰ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῆς δικαιοσύνης αὐτοῦ
Miserationum Domini recordabor ; laudem Domini super omnibus quae reddidit nobis Dominus, et super multitudinem bonorum domui Israël, quae largitus est eis secundum indulgentiam suam, et secundum multitudinem misericordiarum suarum.
ወተዘከርኩ፡ ሣህሎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ በኵሉ፡ ዕሤቱ።
I will tell of the loving kindnesses of Yahweh and the praises of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has given to us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
63:8
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אַךְ־עַמִּ֣י הֵ֔מָּה בָּנִ֖ים לֹ֣א יְשַׁקֵּ֑רוּ וַיְהִ֥י לָהֶ֖ם לְמוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃
καὶ εἶπεν οὐχ ὁ λαός μου τέκνα οὐ μὴ ἀθετήσωσιν καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῖς εἰς σωτηρίαν
Et dixit : Verumtamen populus meus est, filii non negantes ; et factus est eis salvator.
ወይቤ፤ አኮኑ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ወውሉድየ፡ እሙንቱ፤ ወእመሰ፡ ኢክህዱኒ፡ ወአድኅኖሙ።
For he said, “Surely, they are my people, children who will not deal falsely;” so he became their Savior.
63:9
בְּֽכׇל־צָרָתָ֣ם׀ (לא) [ל֣וֹ] צָ֗ר וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ פָּנָיו֙ הוֹשִׁיעָ֔ם בְּאַהֲבָת֥וֹ וּבְחֶמְלָת֖וֹ ה֣וּא גְאָלָ֑ם וַֽיְנַטְּלֵ֥ם וַֽיְנַשְּׂאֵ֖ם כׇּל־יְמֵ֥י עוֹלָֽם׃
ἐκ πάσης θλίψεως οὐ πρέσβυς οὐδὲ ἄγγελος ἀλλ’ αὐτὸς κύριος ἔσωσεν αὐτοὺς διὰ τὸ ἀγαπᾶν αὐτοὺς καὶ φείδεσθαι αὐτῶν αὐτὸς ἐλυτρώσατο αὐτοὺς καὶ ἀνέλαβεν αὐτοὺς καὶ ὕψωσεν αὐτοὺς πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τοῦ αἰῶνος
In omni tribulatione eorum non est tribulatus, et angelus faciei ejus salvavit eos : in dilectione sua et in indulgentia sua ipse redemit eos, et portavit eos, et elevavit eos cunctis diebus saeculi.
እምኵሉ፡ ምንዳቤሆሙ።
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.
63:10
וְהֵ֛מָּה מָר֥וּ וְעִצְּב֖וּ אֶת־ר֣וּחַ קׇדְשׁ֑וֹ וַיֵּהָפֵ֥ךְ לָהֶ֛ם לְאוֹיֵ֖ב ה֥וּא נִלְחַם־בָּֽם׃
αὐτοὶ δὲ ἠπείθησαν καὶ παρώξυναν τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐστράφη αὐτοῖς εἰς ἔχθραν καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπολέμησεν αὐτούς
Ipsi autem ad iracundiam provocaverunt, et afflixerunt spiritum Sancti ejus : et conversus est eis in inimicum, et ipse debellavit eos.
እሙንቱሰ፡ ዐለውዎ፡ ወአምፅዕዎ፡ ለመንፈስ፡ ቅዱስ።
But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.
63:11
וַיִּזְכֹּ֥ר יְמֵֽי־עוֹלָ֖ם מֹשֶׁ֣ה עַמּ֑וֹ אַיֵּ֣ה׀ הַֽמַּעֲלֵ֣ם מִיָּ֗ם אֵ֚ת רֹעֵ֣י צֹאנ֔וֹ אַיֵּ֛ה הַשָּׂ֥ם בְּקִרְבּ֖וֹ אֶת־ר֥וּחַ קׇדְשֽׁוֹ׃
καὶ ἐμνήσθη ἡμερῶν αἰωνίων ὁ ἀναβιβάσας ἐκ τῆς γῆς τὸν ποιμένα τῶν προβάτων ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ θεὶς ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον
Et recordatus est dierum saeculi Moysi, et populi sui. Ubi est qui eduxit eos de mari cum pastoribus gregis sui ? Ubi est qui posuit in medio ejus spiritum Sancti sui ;
ወተዘከረ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ዓለም።
Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, “Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among them?”
63:12
מוֹלִיךְ֙ לִימִ֣ין מֹשֶׁ֔ה זְר֖וֹעַ תִּפְאַרְתּ֑וֹ בּ֤וֹקֵֽעַ מַ֙יִם֙ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת ל֖וֹ שֵׁ֥ם עוֹלָֽם׃
ὁ ἀγαγὼν τῇ δεξιᾷ Μωυσῆν ὁ βραχίων τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ κατίσχυσεν ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτῷ ὄνομα αἰώνιον
qui eduxit ad dexteram Moysen, brachio majestatis suae ; qui scidit aquas ante eos, ut faceret sibi nomen sempiternum ;
ዘወሰዶሙ፡ በየማነ፡ ሙሴ፡ ወበመዝራዕተ፡ ስብሐቲሁ፤ ወጸንዐ፡ ማይ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ገጹ፡ ወረሰየ፡ ሎቱ፡ ስመ፡ ዘለዓለም።
Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses’ right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
63:13
מוֹלִיכָ֖ם בַּתְּהֹמ֑וֹת כַּסּ֥וּס בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר לֹ֥א יִכָּשֵֽׁלוּ׃
ἤγαγεν αὐτοὺς διὰ τῆς ἀβύσσου ὡς ἵππον δῑ ἐρήμου καὶ οὐκ ἐκοπίασαν
qui eduxit eos per abyssos, quasi equum in deserto non impingentem ?
ወአኀለፎሙ፡ እንተ፡ ማእከለ፡ ቀላይ፡ ከመ፡ ፈረስ፡ በገዳም፡ ወኢደክሙ።
Who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn’t stumble?
63:14
כַּבְּהֵמָה֙ בַּבִּקְעָ֣ה תֵרֵ֔ד ר֥וּחַ יְהֹוָ֖ה תְּנִיחֶ֑נּוּ כֵּ֚ן נִהַ֣גְתָּ עַמְּךָ֔ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת לְךָ֖ שֵׁ֥ם תִּפְאָֽרֶת׃
καὶ ὡς κτήνη διὰ πεδίου κατέβη πνεῦμα παρὰ κυρίου καὶ ὡδήγησεν αὐτούς οὕτως ἤγαγες τὸν λαόν σου ποιῆσαι σεαυτῷ ὄνομα δόξης
Quasi animal in campo descendens, spiritus Domini ductor ejus fuit. Sic adduxisti populum tuum, ut faceres tibi nomen gloriae.
ወከመ፡ እንስሳ፡ በሐቅል።
As the livestock that go down into the valley, Yahweh’s Spirit caused them to rest. So you led your people to make yourself a glorious name.
63:15
הַבֵּ֤ט מִשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וּרְאֵ֔ה מִזְּבֻ֥ל קׇדְשְׁךָ֖ וְתִפְאַרְתֶּ֑ךָ אַיֵּ֤ה קִנְאָֽתְךָ֙ וּגְב֣וּרֹתֶ֔ךָ הֲמ֥וֹן מֵעֶ֛יךָ וְֽרַחֲמֶ֖יךָ אֵלַ֥י הִתְאַפָּֽקוּ׃
ἐπίστρεψον ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἰδὲ ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ ἁγίου σου καὶ δόξης ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ ζῆλός σου καὶ ἡ ἰσχύς σου ποῦ ἐστιν τὸ πλῆθος τοῦ ἐλέους σου καὶ τῶν οἰκτιρμῶν σου ὅτι ἀνέσχου ἡμῶν
Attende de caelo, et vide de habitaculo sancto tuo, et gloriae tuae. Ubi est zelus tuus, et fortitudo tua, multitudo viscerum tuorum et miserationum tuarum ? Super me continuerunt se.
ተመየጥ፡ እምሰማይ፡ ወርኢ፡ እምቤተ፡ መቅደስከ፡ ወስብሐቲከ።
Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.
63:16
כִּֽי־אַתָּ֣ה אָבִ֔ינוּ כִּ֤י אַבְרָהָם֙ לֹ֣א יְדָעָ֔נוּ וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹ֣א יַכִּירָ֑נוּ אַתָּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ אָבִ֔ינוּ גֹּאֲלֵ֥נוּ מֵעוֹלָ֖ם שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
σὺ γὰρ ἡμῶν εἶ πατήρ ὅτι Αβρααμ οὐκ ἔγνω ἡμᾶς καὶ Ισραηλ οὐκ ἐπέγνω ἡμᾶς ἀλλὰ σύ κύριε πατὴρ ἡμῶν ῥῦσαι ἡμᾶς ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς ἐστιν
Tu enim pater noster : et Abraham nescivit nos, et Israël ignoravit nos : tu, Domine, pater noster, redemptor noster, a saeculo nomen tuum.
ወአንተ፡ ውእቱ፡ አቡነ፣፡ አብርሃምሰ፡ ኢያእመረነ፡ ወእስራኤልኒ፡ ኢጠየቀነ፣፡ አንተ፡ ዳእሙ፡ አቡነ፡ አድኅነነ፤ እምትካት፡ ስምከ፡ ላዕሌነ።
For you are our Father, though Abraham doesn’t know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, Yahweh, are our Father. Our Redeemer from everlasting is your name.
63:17
לָ֣מָּה תַתְעֵ֤נוּ יְהֹוָה֙ מִדְּרָכֶ֔יךָ תַּקְשִׁ֥יחַ לִבֵּ֖נוּ מִיִּרְאָתֶ֑ךָ שׁ֚וּב לְמַ֣עַן עֲבָדֶ֔יךָ שִׁבְטֵ֖י נַחֲלָתֶֽךָ׃
τί ἐπλάνησας ἡμᾶς κύριε ἀπὸ τῆς ὁδοῦ σου ἐσκλήρυνας ἡμῶν τὰς καρδίας τοῦ μὴ φοβεῖσθαί σε ἐπίστρεψον διὰ τοὺς δούλους σου διὰ τὰς φυλὰς τῆς κληρονομίας σου
Quare errare nos fecisti, Domine, de viis tuis ; indurasti cor nostrum ne timeremus te ? Convertere propter servos tuos, tribus haereditatis tuae.
በእንተ፡ ምንት፡ አስሐትከነ፡ እግዚኦ፡ እምፍኖትከ፤ ወአጽናዕከ፡ ልበነ፡ ከመ፡ ኢንፍራህከ፤ ተመየጦሙ፡ ለአግብርቲከ፡ ወለሕዝበ፡ ርስትከ።
O Yahweh, why do you make us wander from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants’ sake, the tribes of your inheritance.
63:18
לַמִּצְעָ֕ר יָרְשׁ֖וּ עַם־קׇדְשֶׁ֑ךָ צָרֵ֕ינוּ בּוֹסְס֖וּ מִקְדָּשֶֽׁךָ׃
ἵνα μικρὸν κληρονομήσωμεν τοῦ ὄρους τοῦ ἁγίου σου οἱ ὑπεναντίοι ἡμῶν κατεπάτησαν τὸ ἁγίασμά σου
Quasi nihilum possederunt populum sanctum tuum : hostes nostri conculcaverunt sanctificationem tuam.
ከመ፡ ንርከብ፡ ኅዳጠ፡ መክፈልተ፡ ርስትከ፡ ውስተ፡ ደብረ፡ መቅደስከ።
Your holy people possessed it but a little while. Our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary.
63:19
הָיִ֗ינוּ מֵֽעוֹלָם֙ לֹא־מָשַׁ֣לְתָּ בָּ֔ם לֹֽא־נִקְרָ֥א שִׁמְךָ֖ עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם לֽוּא־קָרַ֤עְתָּ שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ יָרַ֔דְתָּ מִפָּנֶ֖יךָ הָרִ֥ים נָזֹֽלּוּ׃
ἐγενόμεθα ὡς τὸ ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς ὅτε οὐκ ἦρξας ἡμῶν οὐδὲ ἐπεκλήθη τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς ἐὰν ἀνοίξῃς τὸν οὐρανόν τρόμος λήμψεται ἀπὸ σοῦ ὄρη καὶ τακήσονται
Facti sumus quasi in principio, cum non dominareris nostri, neque invocaretur nomen tuum super nos.
እስመ፡ ኮነ፡ ከመ፡ ትካት፡ አመ፡ ኢኰነንከነ፡ ወአመ፡ ኢተሰምየ፡ ስምከ፡ በላዕሌነ።
We have become like those over whom you never ruled, like those who were not called by your name.
