27:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּרֵאשִׁ֗ית מַמְלֶ֛כֶת יְהוֹיָקִ֥ם בֶּן ־יֹאושִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הָיָ֞ה הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֔ה מֵאֵ֥ת יְהֹוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר ׃
λόγος κυρίου ὃν ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα
In principio regni Joakim filii Josiae regis Juda , factum est verbum istud ad Jeremiam a Domino , dicens :
በቀዳሚት ፡ መንግስቱ ፡ ለኢዮአቄም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ዝቃል ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይቤ ።
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
27:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י עֲשֵׂ֣ה לְךָ֔ מוֹסֵר֖וֹת וּמֹט֑וֹת וּנְתַתָּ֖ם עַל ־צַוָּארֶֽךָ ׃
ἀναγγείλατε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἀκουστὰ ποιήσατε καὶ μὴ κρύψητε εἴπατε ἑάλωκεν Βαβυλών κατῃσχύνθη Βῆλος ἡ ἀπτόητος ἡ τρυφερὰ παρεδόθη Μαρωδαχ
Haec dicit Dominus ad me : Fac tibi vincula et catenas , et pones eas in collo tuo ,
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤለኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ግበር ፡ ለከ ፡ ጋገ ፡ ወሐግለ ፡ ወደዮ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሳድከ ።
Yahweh says to me: “Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck.
27:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשִׁלַּחְתָּם֩ אֶל ־מֶ֨לֶךְ אֱד֜וֹם וְאֶל ־מֶ֣לֶךְ מוֹאָ֗ב וְאֶל ־מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וְאֶל ־מֶ֥לֶךְ צֹ֖ר וְאֶל ־מֶ֣לֶךְ צִיד֑וֹן בְּיַ֤ד מַלְאָכִים֙ הַבָּאִ֣ים יְרוּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם אֶל ־צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה ׃
ὅτι ἀνέβη ἐπ’ αὐτὴν ἔθνος ἀπὸ βορρᾶ οὗτος θήσει τὴν γῆν αὐτῆς εἰς ἀφανισμόν καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου καὶ ἕως κτήνους
et mittes eas ad regem Edom , et ad regem Moab , et ad regem filiorum Ammon , et ad regem Tyri , et ad regem Sidonis , in manu nuntiorum qui venerunt Jerusalem ad Sedeciam regem Juda .
ወፈኑ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ኤዶምያስ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ሞአብ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ አሞን ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ጢሮስ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ሲዶና ፡ በእደ ፡ መላእክቲሆሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይመጽኡ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሴዴቅያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ።
Then send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the children of Ammon, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.
27:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְצִוִּיתָ֣ אֹתָ֔ם אֶל ־אֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּה ־אָמַ֞ר יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֹּ֥ה תֹאמְר֖וּ אֶל ־אֲדֹנֵיכֶֽם ׃
ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἥξουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό βαδίζοντες καὶ κλαίοντες πορεύσονται τὸν κύριον θεὸν αὐτῶν ζητοῦντες
Et praecipies eis ut ad dominos suos loquantur : Haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Haec dicetis ad dominos vestros :
ወአዝዞሙ ፡ ይንግርዎሙ ፡ ለአጋእዝቲሆሙ ፡ ወይበሉ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላክ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከመዝ ፡ በልዎሙ ፡ ለአጋእዝቲክሙ ።
Give them a command to their masters, saying, ‘Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “You shall tell your masters:
27:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָנֹכִ֞י עָשִׂ֣יתִי אֶת ־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת ־הָאָדָ֤ם וְאֶת ־הַבְּהֵמָה֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל ־פְּנֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ בְּכֹחִי֙ הַגָּד֔וֹל וּבִזְרוֹעִ֖י הַנְּטוּיָ֑ה וּנְתַתִּ֕יהָ לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר יָשַׁ֥ר בְּעֵינָֽי ׃
ἕως Σιων ἐρωτήσουσιν τὴν ὁδόν ὧδε γὰρ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῶν δώσουσιν καὶ ἥξουσιν καὶ καταφεύξονται πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεόν διαθήκη γὰρ αἰώνιος οὐκ ἐπιλησθήσεται
Ego feci terram , et homines , et jumenta quae sunt super faciem terrae , in fortitudine mea magna , et in brachio meo extento , et dedi eam ei qui placuit in oculis meis .
አነአ ፡ ገበርክዋ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ ዘላዕለ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ በኃይልየ ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ ወበመዝራዕትየ ፡ ልዕልት ፡ ወወሀብክዎ ፡ ለዘአደመኒ ፡ በአዕይንትየ ።
‘I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.
27:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַתָּ֗ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ נָתַ֙תִּי֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הָאֲרָצ֣וֹת הָאֵ֔לֶּה בְּיַ֛ד נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֥ר מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֖ל עַבְדִּ֑י וְגַם֙ אֶת ־חַיַּ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה נָתַ֥תִּי ל֖וֹ לְעׇבְדֽוֹ ׃
πρόβατα ἀπολωλότα ἐγενήθη ὁ λαός μου οἱ ποιμένες αὐτῶν ἐξῶσαν αὐτούς ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη ἀπεπλάνησαν αὐτούς ἐξ ὄρους ἐπὶ βουνὸν ᾤχοντο ἐπελάθοντο κοίτης αὐτῶν
Et nunc itaque ego dedi omnes terras istas in manu Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis servi mei : insuper et bestias agri dedi ei , ut serviant illi :
ወይእዜኒ ፡ አነ ፡ አግባእክዋ ፡ ለኵላ ፡ ዛምድር ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ለናቡከደነፆር ፡ ገብርየ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወአራዊተ ፡ ገዳምኒ ፡ ወሀብኩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትቀነይዎ ።
Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.
27:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעָבְד֤וּ אֹתוֹ֙ כׇּל ־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְאֶת ־בְּנ֖וֹ וְאֶֽת ־בֶּן ־בְּנ֑וֹ עַ֣ד בֹּא ־עֵ֤ת אַרְצוֹ֙ גַּם ־ה֔וּא וְעָ֤בְדוּ בוֹ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וּמְלָכִ֖ים גְּדֹלִֽים ׃
πάντες οἱ εὑρίσκοντες αὐτοὺς κατανάλισκον αὐτούς οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτῶν εἶπαν μὴ ἀνῶμεν αὐτούς ἀνθ’ ὧν ἥμαρτον τῷ κυρίῳ νομῇ δικαιοσύνης τῷ συναγαγόντι τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν
et servient ei omnes gentes , et filio ejus , et filio filii ejus , donec veniat tempus terrae ejus et ipsius : et servient ei gentes multae et reges magni .
ወይትቀነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ለወልዱ ፡ ወለወልደ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይበጽሕ ፡ ዕድሜ ፡ ምድሩ ፡ ፤ ወሎቱኒ ፡ ይትቀነዩ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ ወነገሥት ፡ ዓበይት ።
All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.
27:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֨ה הַגּ֜וֹי וְהַמַּמְלָכָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא ־יַעַבְד֤וּ אֹתוֹ֙ אֶת ־נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֣ר מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֔ל וְאֵ֨ת אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא ־יִתֵּן֙ אֶת ־צַוָּאר֔וֹ בְּעֹ֖ל מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֑ל בַּחֶ֩רֶב֩ וּבָרָעָ֨ב וּבַדֶּ֜בֶר אֶפְקֹ֨ד עַל ־הַגּ֤וֹי הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה עַד ־תֻּמִּ֥י אֹתָ֖ם בְּיָדֽוֹ ׃
ἀπαλλοτριώθητε ἐκ μέσου Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἀπὸ γῆς Χαλδαίων καὶ ἐξέλθατε καὶ γένεσθε ὥσπερ δράκοντες κατὰ πρόσωπον προβάτων
Gens autem et regnum quod non servierit Nabuchodonosor regi Babylonis , et quicumque non curvaverit collum suum sub jugo regis Babylonis , in gladio , et in fame , et in peste visitabo super gentem illam , ait Dominus , donec consumam eos in manu ejus .
ወይከውን ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወመንግሥት ፡ እለ ፡ ኢይትቀነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ለናቡከደነፆር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወኢይወድዩ ፡ ክሳዶሙ ፡ ታሕተ ፡ አርዑተ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ በመጥባሕት ፡ ወበረኃብ ፡ ወብድብድ ፡ ይወድቁ ፡ ወእዋህዮሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እስከ ፡ የኀልቁ ፡ በእዴሁ ።
“‘“‘It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says Yahweh, ‘with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
27:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְ֠אַתֶּ֠ם אַל ־תִּשְׁמְע֨וּ אֶל ־נְבִיאֵיכֶ֜ם וְאֶל ־קֹסְמֵיכֶ֗ם וְאֶל֙ חֲלֹמֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֶל ־עֹנְנֵיכֶ֖ם וְאֶל ־כַּשָּׁפֵיכֶ֑ם אֲשֶׁר ־הֵ֞ם אֹמְרִ֤ים אֲלֵיכֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֥א תַעַבְד֖וּ אֶת ־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל ׃
ὅτι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐγείρω ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα συναγωγὰς ἐθνῶν ἐκ γῆς βορρᾶ καὶ παρατάξονται αὐτῇ ἐκεῖθεν ἁλώσεται ὡς βολὶς μαχητοῦ συνετοῦ οὐκ ἐπιστρέψει κενή
Vos ergo nolite audire prophetas vestros , et divinos , et somniatores , et augures , et maleficos , qui dicunt vobis : Non servietis regi Babylonis :
ወአንትሙኒ ፡ ኢትስምዕዎሙ ፡ ለሐሳውያነ ፡ ነቢያቲክሙ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ያሠግሉ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወለሐላምያኒክሙ ፡ ወለረአይያኒክሙ ፡ ወለሰብአ ፡ ሥራይ ፡ እለ ፡ ይብሉክሙ ፡ ኢትትቀነዩ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሊን ።
But as for you, don’t listen to your prophets, to your diviners, to your dreams, to your soothsayers, or to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “You shall not serve the king of Babylon;”
27:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י שֶׁ֔קֶר הֵ֖ם נִבְּאִ֣ים לָכֶ֑ם לְמַ֨עַן הַרְחִ֤יק אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵעַ֣ל אַדְמַתְכֶ֔ם וְהִדַּחְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם וַאֲבַדְתֶּֽם ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἡ Χαλδαία εἰς προνομήν πάντες οἱ προνομεύοντες αὐτὴν ἐμπλησθήσονται
quia mendacium prophetant vobis , ut longe vos faciant de terra vestra , et ejiciant vos , et pereatis .
እስመ ፡ ሐሰተ ፡ ተነበዩ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያርኅቁክሙ ፡ እምብሔርክሙ ፡ ወእዘርወክሙ ፡ ወትጠፍኡ ።
for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, so that I would drive you out, and you would perish.
27:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַגּ֗וֹי אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָבִ֧יא אֶת ־צַוָּאר֛וֹ בְּעֹ֥ל מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֖ל וַעֲבָד֑וֹ וְהִנַּחְתִּ֤יו עַל ־אַדְמָתוֹ֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה וַעֲבָדָ֖הּ וְיָ֥שַׁב בָּֽהּ ׃
ὅτι ηὐφραίνεσθε καὶ κατεκαυχᾶσθε διαρπάζοντες τὴν κληρονομίαν μου διότι ἐσκιρτᾶτε ὡς βοΐδια ἐν βοτάνῃ καὶ ἐκερατίζετε ὡς ταῦροι
Porro gens quae subjecerit cervicem suam sub jugo regis Babylonis , et servierit ei , dimittam eam in terra sua , dicit Dominus , et colet eam , et habitabit in ea .
ወሕዝብሰ ፡ ዘይወዲ ፡ ርእሶ ፡ ታሕተ ፡ አርዑተ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወይትቀነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ አነብሮ ፡ ውስረ ፡ ምድሩ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይትጌበራ ፡ ወየኀድር ፡ ውስቴታ ።
But the nation that brings their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, that nation I will let remain in their own land,’ says Yahweh; ‘and they will till it and dwell in it.’”’”
27:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶל ־צִדְקִיָּ֤ה מֶלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָה֙ דִּבַּ֔רְתִּי כְּכׇל ־הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה לֵאמֹ֑ר הָבִ֨יאוּ אֶת ־צַוְּארֵיכֶ֜ם בְּעֹ֣ל מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֗ל וְעִבְד֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ וְעַמּ֖וֹ וִֽחְיֽוּ ׃
ᾐσχύνθη ἡ μήτηρ ὑμῶν σφόδρα μήτηρ ἐπ’ ἀγαθὰ ἐσχάτη ἐθνῶν ἔρημος
Et ad Sedeciam regem Juda locutus sum secundum omnia verba haec , dicens : Subjicite colla vestra sub jugo regis Babylonis , et servite ei et populo ejus , et vivetis .
ወነገርክዎ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘነገረ ፡ ለሴዴቅያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወእቤሎ ፡ አትሕቱ ፡ ክሳደክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አርዑተ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወተቀነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወለሕዝቡ ፡ ወተሐይዉ ።
I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, “Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
27:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָ֤מָּה תָמ֙וּתוּ֙ אַתָּ֣ה וְעַמֶּ֔ךָ בַּחֶ֖רֶב בָּרָעָ֣ב וּבַדָּ֑בֶר כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל ־הַגּ֕וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא ־יַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת ־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל ׃
ἀπὸ ὀργῆς κυρίου οὐ κατοικηθήσεται καὶ ἔσται εἰς ἀφανισμὸν πᾶσα καὶ πᾶς ὁ διοδεύων διὰ Βαβυλῶνος σκυθρωπάσει καὶ συριοῦσιν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν πληγὴν αὐτῆς
Quare moriemini , tu et populus tuus , gladio , et fame , et peste , sicut locutus est Dominus ad gentem quae servire noluerit regi Babylonis ?
ለምንት ፡ ትመውት ፡ አንተ ፡ ወሕዝብከ ፡ በመጥባሕት ፡ ወበረኃብ ፡ ወበብድብድ ፡ በከመ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ዘኢተቀንየ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
27:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַֽל ־תִּשְׁמְע֞וּ אֶל ־דִּבְרֵ֣י הַנְּבִאִ֗ים הָאֹמְרִ֤ים אֲלֵיכֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֥א תַעַבְד֖וּ אֶת ־מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֑ל כִּ֣י שֶׁ֔קֶר הֵ֖ם נִבְּאִ֥ים לָכֶֽם ׃
παρατάξασθε ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα κύκλῳ πάντες τείνοντες τόξον τοξεύσατε ἐπ’ αὐτήν μὴ φείσησθε ἐπὶ τοῖς τοξεύμασιν ὑμῶν
Nolite audire verba prophetarum dicentium vobis : Non servietis regi Babylonis : quia mendacium ipsi loquuntur vobis :
ወኢትትስምዑ ፡ ቃሎሙ ፡ ለነቢያት ፡ እለ ፡ ይቤሉክሙ ፡ ኢትትቀነዩ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ እስመ ፡ ሐሰተ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ይትኔበዩ ፡ ለክሙ ።
Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
27:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י לֹ֤א שְׁלַחְתִּים֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְהֵ֛ם נִבְּאִ֥ים בִּשְׁמִ֖י לַשָּׁ֑קֶר לְמַ֨עַן הַדִּיחִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ וַאֲבַדְתֶּ֔ם אַתֶּ֕ם וְהַנְּבִאִ֖ים הַֽנִּבְּאִ֥ים לָכֶֽם ׃
κατακροτήσατε ἐπ’ αὐτήν παρελύθησαν αἱ χεῖρες αὐτῆς ἔπεσαν αἱ ἐπάλξεις αὐτῆς καὶ κατεσκάφη τὸ τεῖχος αὐτῆς ὅτι ἐκδίκησις παρὰ θεοῦ ἐστιν ἐκδικεῖτε ἐπ’ αὐτήν καθὼς ἐποίησεν ποιήσατε αὐτῇ
quia non misi eos , ait Dominus , et ipsi prophetant in nomine meo mendaciter , ut ejiciant vos , et pereatis , tam vos quam prophetae qui vaticinantur vobis .
እስመ ፡ ኢፈነውክዎሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቶሙኒ ፡ ሐሰተ ፡ ይትኔበዩ ፡ በስምየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያሕጕሉክሙ ፡ ወትጠፍኡ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ወነቢያቲክሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ተነበዩ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ በሐሰት ።
For I have not sent them,” says Yahweh, “but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”
27:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶל ־הַכֹּהֲנִים֩ וְאֶל ־כׇּל ־הָעָ֨ם הַזֶּ֜ה דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי לֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּה֮ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָה֒ אַֽל ־תִּשְׁמְע֞וּ אֶל ־דִּבְרֵ֣י נְבִיאֵיכֶ֗ם הַֽנִּבְּאִ֤ים לָכֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הִנֵּ֨ה כְלֵ֧י בֵית ־יְהֹוָ֛ה מוּשָׁבִ֥ים מִבָּבֶ֖לָה עַתָּ֣ה מְהֵרָ֑ה כִּ֣י שֶׁ֔קֶר הֵ֖מָּה נִבְּאִ֥ים לָכֶֽם ׃
ἐξολεθρεύσατε σπέρμα ἐκ Βαβυλῶνος κατέχοντα δρέπανον ἐν καιρῷ θερισμοῦ ἀπὸ προσώπου μαχαίρας Ἑλληνικῆς ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἀποστρέψουσιν καὶ ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ φεύξεται
Et ad sacerdotes , et ad populum istum , locutus sum , dicens : Haec dicit Dominus : Nolite audire verba prophetarum vestrorum , qui prophetant vobis , dicentes : Ecce vasa Domini revertentur de Babylone nunc cito : mendacium enim prophetant vobis .
ወለካህናትኒ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገርክዎሙ ፡ ወእቤ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢትስምዑ ፡ ቃሎሙ ፡ ለነቢያት ፡ እለ ፡ ይትኔበዩ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወይብሉክሙ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ያገብኡ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምባቢሎን ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሐሰተ ፡ ተነበዩ ፡ ለክሙ ።
Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Yahweh says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
27:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַל ־תִּשְׁמְע֣וּ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם עִבְד֥וּ אֶת ־מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֖ל וִֽחְי֑וּ לָ֧מָּה תִֽהְיֶ֛ה הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֖את חׇרְבָּֽה ׃
πρόβατον πλανώμενον Ισραηλ λέοντες ἐξῶσαν αὐτόν ὁ πρῶτος ἔφαγεν αὐτὸν βασιλεὺς Ασσουρ καὶ οὗτος ὕστερον τὰ ὀστᾶ αὐτοῦ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος
Nolite ergo audire eos : sed servite regi Babylonis , ut vivatis : quare datur haec civitas in solitudinem ?
ኢትስምዕዎሙ ፡ ተቀነዩ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወተሐይዉ ፡ አንትሙ ።
Don’t listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city become a desolation?
27:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאִם ־נְבִאִ֣ים הֵ֔ם וְאִם ־יֵ֥שׁ דְּבַר ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אִתָּ֑ם יִפְגְּעוּ ־נָא֙ בַּיהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת לְבִלְתִּי ־בֹ֜אוּ הַכֵּלִ֣ים ׀ הַנּוֹתָרִ֣ים בְּבֵית ־יְהֹוָ֗ה וּבֵ֨ית מֶ֧לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֛ה וּבִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם בָּבֶֽלָה ׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐκδικῶ ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ καθὼς ἐξεδίκησα ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα Ασσουρ
Et si prophetae sunt , et est verbum Domini in eis , occurrant Domino exercituum , ut non veniant vasa quae derelicta fuerant in domo Domini , et in domo regis Juda , et in Jerusalem , in Babylonem .
ወእመሰ ፡ ነቢያት ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወቦሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ይምጽኡኬ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይባኡ ፡ እለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ ንዋያት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወበኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ባቢሎን ።
But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.
27:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת אֶל ־הָֽעַמֻּדִ֔ים וְעַל ־הַיָּ֖ם וְעַל ־הַמְּכֹנ֑וֹת וְעַל֙ יֶ֣תֶר הַכֵּלִ֔ים הַנּוֹתָרִ֖ים בָּעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת ׃
καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω τὸν Ισραηλ εἰς τὴν νομὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ νεμήσεται ἐν τῷ Καρμήλῳ καὶ ἐν ὄρει Εφραιμ καὶ ἐν τῷ Γαλααδ καὶ πλησθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ
Quia haec dicit Dominus exercituum ad columnas , et ad mare , et ad bases , et ad reliqua vasorum quae remanserunt in civitate hac ,
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ በእንተ ፡ አዕማድ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ሜኮኖት ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ተረፈ ፡ ንዋያት ፡ እለ ፡ ተርፋ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ሀግር ።
For Yahweh of Armies says concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
27:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא ־לְקָחָ֗ם נְבֽוּכַדְנֶאצַּר֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל בַּ֠גְלוֹת֠וֹ אֶת ־[יְכׇנְיָ֨ה ] (יכוניה ) בֶן ־יְהוֹיָקִ֧ים מֶלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָ֛ה מִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם בָּבֶ֑לָה וְאֵ֛ת כׇּל ־חֹרֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃
ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ζητήσουσιν τὴν ἀδικίαν Ισραηλ καὶ οὐχ ὑπάρξει καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας Ιουδα καὶ οὐ μὴ εὑρεθῶσιν ὅτι ἵλεως ἔσομαι τοῖς ὑπολελειμμένοις ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς λέγει κύριος
quae non tulit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis cum transferret Jechoniam filium Joakim regem Juda de Jerusalem in Babylonem , et omnes optimates Juda et Jerusalem :
ዘኢነሥኦሙ ፡ ናቡከደነፆር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ አመ ፡ አፍለሶ ፡ ለኢኮንያን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮአቄም ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ እምኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ባቢሎንሃ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ መላእክት ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወኢየሩሳሌም ።
which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem—
27:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י כֹ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עַל ־הַכֵּלִ֗ים הַנּֽוֹתָרִים֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֔ה וּבֵ֥ית מֶלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃
πικρῶς ἐπίβηθι ἐπ’ αὐτὴν καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπ’ αὐτήν ἐκδίκησον μάχαιρα καὶ ἀφάνισον λέγει κύριος καὶ ποίει κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐντέλλομαί σοι
quia haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël , ad vasa quae derelicta sunt in domo Domini , et in domo regis Juda et Jerusalem :
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላክ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በእንተ ፡ ንዋያት ፡ እለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአንሔር ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወኢየሩሳሌም ።
yes, Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says concerning the vessels that are left in Yahweh’s house, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:
27:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּבֶ֥לָה יוּבָ֖אוּ וְשָׁ֣מָּה יִֽהְי֑וּ עַ֠ד י֣וֹם פׇּקְדִ֤י אֹתָם֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְהַֽעֲלִיתִים֙ וַהֲשִׁ֣יבֹתִ֔ים אֶל ־הַמָּק֖וֹם הַזֶּֽה ׃ {פ}
φωνὴ πολέμου καὶ συντριβὴ μεγάλη ἐν γῇ Χαλδαίων
In Babylonem transferentur , et ibi erunt usque ad diem visitationis suae , dicit Dominus , et afferri faciam ea , et restitui in loco isto .
ይበውኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወህየ ፡ ይሄልዉ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ እዋህዮሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተዐርጉ ፡ ወትሰወጡ ፡ ውስተዝ ፡ ንሔር ።
‘They will be carried to Babylon, and there they will be, until the day that I visit them,’ says Yahweh; ‘then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.’”
27:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ — πῶς συνεκλάσθη καὶ συνετρίβη ἡ σφῦρα πάσης τῆς γῆς πῶς ἐγενήθη εἰς ἀφανισμὸν Βαβυλὼν ἐν ἔθνεσιν
— — How the hammer of all the earth has been broken and shattered! How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations!
27:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἐπιθήσονταί σοι καὶ ἁλώσῃ ὦ Βαβυλών καὶ οὐ γνώσῃ εὑρέθης καὶ ἐλήμφθης ὅτι τῷ κυρίῳ ἀντέστης
— — They shall set upon you and you shall be captured, O Babylon, and you shall not know it. You were found and taken, because you withstood the Lord.
27:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἤνοιξεν κύριος τὸν θησαυρὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξήνεγκεν τὰ σκεύη ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἔργον τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ἐν γῇ Χαλδαίων
— — The Lord has opened his treasury and brought out the vessels of his wrath, for the Lord God has a work in the land of the Chaldeans.
27:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ὅτι ἐληλύθασιν οἱ καιροὶ αὐτῆς ἀνοίξατε τὰς ἀποθήκας αὐτῆς ἐρευνήσατε αὐτὴν ὡς σπήλαιον καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσατε αὐτήν μὴ γενέσθω αὐτῆς κατάλειμμα
— — For her times have come. Open her storehouses, search her as one searches a cave, and destroy her utterly; let there be no remnant of her.
27:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἀναξηράνατε αὐτῆς πάντας τοὺς καρπούς καὶ καταβήτωσαν εἰς σφαγήν οὐαὶ αὐτοῖς ὅτι ἥκει ἡ ἡμέρα αὐτῶν καὶ καιρὸς ἐκδικήσεως αὐτῶν
— — Dry up all her fruits, and let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them, for their day has come and the time of their punishment.
27:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ — φωνὴ φευγόντων καὶ ἀνασῳζομένων ἐκ γῆς Βαβυλῶνος τοῦ ἀναγγεῖλαι εἰς Σιων τὴν ἐκδίκησιν παρὰ κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν
— — A sound of those fleeing and escaping from the land of Babylon, to announce in Zion the vengeance from the Lord our God.
27:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ — παραγγείλατε ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα πολλοῖς παντὶ ἐντείνοντι τόξον παρεμβάλετε ἐπ’ αὐτὴν κυκλόθεν μὴ ἔστω αὐτῆς ἀνασῳζόμενος ἀνταπόδοτε αὐτῇ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτῆς κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν ποιήσατε αὐτῇ ὅτι πρὸς τὸν κύριον ἀντέστη θεὸν ἅγιον τοῦ Ισραηλ
— — Summon many against Babylon, everyone who bends a bow. Encamp against her round about; let there be no one of hers who escapes. Repay her according to her works; according to all that she did, do to her, because she withstood the Lord, the holy God of Israel.
27:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ — διὰ τοῦτο πεσοῦνται οἱ νεανίσκοι αὐτῆς ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις αὐτῆς καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ πολεμισταὶ αὐτῆς ῥιφήσονται εἶπεν κύριος
— — Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all her men of war shall be cast away, said the Lord.
27:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ τὴν ὑβρίστριαν λέγει κύριος ὅτι ἥκει ἡ ἡμέρα σου καὶ ὁ καιρὸς ἐκδικήσεώς σου
— — Behold, I am against you, you insolent one, says the Lord, for your day has come and the time of your punishment.
27:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ — καὶ ἀσθενήσει ἡ ὕβρις σου καὶ πεσεῖται καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἀνιστῶν αὐτήν καὶ ἀνάψω πῦρ ἐν τῷ δρυμῷ αὐτῆς καὶ καταφάγεται πάντα τὰ κύκλῳ αὐτῆς
— — And your insolence shall grow weak and fall, and there shall be no one to raise it up; and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour everything around her.
27:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ — τάδε λέγει κύριος καταδεδυνάστευνται οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα ἅμα πάντες οἱ αἰχμαλωτεύσαντες αὐτοὺς κατεδυνάστευσαν αὐτούς ὅτι οὐκ ἠθέλησαν ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτούς
— — Thus says the Lord: The sons of Israel and the sons of Judah alike have been oppressed; all who took them captive have oppressed them, for they refused to let them go.
27:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ — καὶ ὁ λυτρούμενος αὐτοὺς ἰσχυρός κύριος παντοκράτωρ ὄνομα αὐτῷ κρίσιν κρινεῖ πρὸς τοὺς ἀντιδίκους αὐτοῦ ὅπως ἐξάρῃ τὴν γῆν καὶ παροξυνεῖ τοῖς κατοικοῦσι Βαβυλῶνα
— — But the one who redeems them is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will surely plead their case against his adversaries, so as to remove the land and to provoke those who dwell in Babylon.
27:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ — μάχαιραν ἐπὶ τοὺς Χαλδαίους καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς μεγιστᾶνας αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς συνετοὺς αὐτῆς
— — A sword against the Chaldeans, and against those who dwell in Babylon, and against her nobles and against her wise men.
27:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ — μάχαιραν ἐπὶ τοὺς μαχητὰς αὐτῆς καὶ παραλυθήσονται
— — A sword against her warriors, and they shall be paralyzed.
27:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ — μάχαιραν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἵππους αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἅρματα αὐτῶν μάχαιραν ἐπὶ τοὺς μαχητὰς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν σύμμικτον τὸν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς καὶ ἔσονται ὡσεὶ γυναῖκες μάχαιραν ἐπὶ τοὺς θησαυροὺς αὐτῆς καὶ διασκορπισθήσονται
— — A sword against their horses and against their chariots; a sword against their warriors and against the mixed people in her midst, and they shall be like women; a sword against her treasures, and they shall be scattered.
27:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι αὐτῆς ἐπεποίθει καὶ καταισχυνθήσονται ὅτι γῆ τῶν γλυπτῶν ἐστιν καὶ ἐν ταῖς νήσοις οὗ κατεκαυχῶντο
— — She had trusted in her water, and they shall be put to shame, for it is a land of carved images, and in the islands where they used to boast.
27:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ — διὰ τοῦτο κατοικήσουσιν ἰνδάλματα ἐν ταῖς νήσοις καὶ κατοικήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ θυγατέρες σειρήνων οὐ μὴ κατοικηθῇ οὐκέτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
— — Therefore phantoms shall dwell in the islands, and daughters of sirens shall dwell in her; she shall never again be inhabited, forever.
27:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ — καθὼς κατέστρεψεν ὁ θεὸς Σοδομα καὶ Γομορρα καὶ τὰς ὁμορούσας αὐταῖς εἶπεν κύριος οὐ μὴ κατοικήσῃ ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπος καὶ οὐ μὴ παροικήσῃ ἐκεῖ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου
— — Just as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbours, said the Lord, so no one shall dwell there, and no son of man shall sojourn there.
27:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἰδοὺ λαὸς ἔρχεται ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἔθνος μέγα καὶ βασιλεῖς πολλοὶ ἐξεγερθήσονται ἀπ’ ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς
— — Behold, a people is coming from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be roused from the end of the earth.
27:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ — τόξον καὶ ἐγχειρίδιον ἔχοντες ἰταμός ἐστιν καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐλεήσῃ φωνὴ αὐτῶν ὡς θάλασσα ἠχήσει ἐφ’ ἵπποις ἱππάσονται παρεσκευασμένοι ὥσπερ πῦρ εἰς πόλεμον πρὸς σέ θύγατερ Βαβυλῶνος
— — They hold bow and dagger; he is ruthless and will show no mercy; their voice shall roar like the sea. They ride upon horses, equipped like fire for battle against you, O daughter of Babylon.
27:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἤκουσεν βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος τὴν ἀκοὴν αὐτῶν καὶ παρελύθησαν αἱ χεῖρες αὐτοῦ θλῖψις κατεκράτησεν αὐτοῦ ὠδῖνες ὡς τικτούσης
— — The king of Babylon heard the report of them, and his hands were slackened; anguish gripped him, pangs as of a woman in labour.
27:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἰδοὺ ὥσπερ λέων ἀναβήσεται ἀπὸ τοῦ Ιορδάνου εἰς τόπον Αιθαμ ὅτι ταχέως ἐκδιώξω αὐτοὺς ἀπ’ αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα νεανίσκον ἐπ’ αὐτὴν ἐπιστήσω ὅτι τίς ὥσπερ ἐγώ καὶ τίς ἀντιστήσεταί μοι καὶ τίς οὗτος ποιμήν ὃς στήσεται κατὰ πρόσωπόν μου
— — Behold, like a lion he shall come up from the Jordan to the place of Aitham; for I will swiftly drive them out from her, and I will appoint every young man against her. For who is like me? And who will withstand me? And who is this shepherd who will stand before my face?
27:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ — διὰ τοῦτο ἀκούσατε τὴν βουλὴν κυρίου ἣν βεβούλευται ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα καὶ λογισμοὺς αὐτοῦ οὓς ἐλογίσατο ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Χαλδαίους ἐὰν μὴ διαφθαρῇ τὰ ἀρνία τῶν προβάτων αὐτῶν ἐὰν μὴ ἀφανισθῇ νομὴ ἀπ’ αὐτῶν
— — Therefore hear the counsel of the Lord which he has purposed against Babylon, and his thoughts which he has thought against the Chaldean inhabitants: surely the lambs of their flock shall be destroyed; surely their pasture shall be laid waste.
27:46 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ὅτι ἀπὸ φωνῆς ἁλώσεως Βαβυλῶνος σεισθήσεται ἡ γῆ καὶ κραυγὴ ἐν ἔθνεσιν ἀκουσθήσεται
— — For at the sound of Babylon's capture the earth shall quake, and a cry shall be heard among the nations.
