31:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּעֵ֤ת הַהִיא֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶֽהְיֶה֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים לְכֹ֖ל מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְהֵ֖מָּה יִֽהְיוּ ־לִ֥י לְעָֽם ׃ {ס}
τῇ Μωαβ οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος οὐαὶ ἐπὶ Ναβαυ ὅτι ὤλετο ἐλήμφθη Καριαθαιμ ᾐσχύνθη Αμαθ καὶ ἡττήθη
In tempore illo , dicit Dominus , ero Deus universis cognationibus Israël , et ipsi erunt mihi in populum .
ውእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እከውኖሙ ፡ አምላኮሙ ፡ ለሕዝበ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እሙንሩኒ ፡ ይከውኑኒ ፡ ሕዝብየ ።
“At that time,” says Yahweh, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”
31:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה מָצָ֥א חֵן֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר עַ֖ם שְׂרִ֣ידֵי חָ֑רֶב הָל֥וֹךְ לְהַרְגִּיע֖וֹ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι ἰατρεία Μωαβ ἀγαυρίαμα ἐν Εσεβων ἐλογίσαντο ἐπ’ αὐτὴν κακά ἐκόψαμεν αὐτὴν ἀπὸ ἔθνους καὶ παῦσιν παύσεται ὄπισθέν σου βαδιεῖται μάχαιρα
Haec dicit Dominus : Invenit gratiam in deserto populus qui remanserat a gladio : vadet ad requiem suam Israël .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ረከበ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ በገዳም ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ ተቀትሉ ፡ በመጥባሕት ፡ ሑሩ ፡ ወኢታጥፍእዎሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
Yahweh says, “The people who survive the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.”
31:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ מֵרָח֕וֹק יְהֹוָ֖ה נִרְאָ֣ה לִ֑י וְאַהֲבַ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ אֲהַבְתִּ֔יךְ עַל ־כֵּ֖ן מְשַׁכְתִּ֥יךְ חָֽסֶד ׃
ὅτι φωνὴ κεκραγότων ἐξ Ωρωναιμ ὄλεθρος καὶ σύντριμμα μέγα
Longe Dominus apparuit mihi . Et in caritate perpetua dilexi te : ideo attraxi te , miserans .
እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አስተርአየኒ ፡ እምርኁቅ ፡ ፍቅረ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፡ አፍቀርኩከ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሣህልየ ፡ ሰሐብኩከ ።
Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.
31:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ ע֤וֹד אֶבְנֵךְ֙ וְֽנִבְנֵ֔ית בְּתוּלַ֖ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל ע֚וֹד תַּעְדִּ֣י תֻפַּ֔יִךְ וְיָצָ֖את בִּמְח֥וֹל מְשַׂחֲקִֽים ׃
συνετρίβη Μωαβ ἀναγγείλατε εἰς Ζογορα
Rursumque aedificabo te , et aedificaberis , virgo Israël : adhuc ornaberis tympanis tuis , et egredieris in choro ludentium .
ወዓዲ ፡ አሐንጸኪ ፡ ወትትሐነጺ ፡ ድንግለ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ንሥኢ ፡ ከበሮኪ ፡ ወፃኢ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ማኅበር ፡ እለ ፡ ይትዋነዩ ።
I will build you again, and you will be built, O virgin of Israel. You will again be adorned with your tambourines, and will go out in the dances of those who make merry.
31:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ ע֚וֹד תִּטְּעִ֣י כְרָמִ֔ים בְּהָרֵ֖י שֹֽׁמְר֑וֹן נָטְע֥וּ נֹטְעִ֖ים וְחִלֵּֽלוּ ׃
ὅτι ἐπλήσθη Αλαωθ ἐν κλαυθμῷ ἀναβήσεται κλαίων ἐν ὁδῷ Ωρωναιμ κραυγὴν συντρίμματος ἠκούσατε
Adhuc plantabis vineas in montibus Samariae : plantabunt plantantes , et donec tempus veniat , non vindemiabunt .
ዓዲ ፡ ትተክሊ ፡ አዕፃዳተ ፡ ወይን ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ሰማርያ ፡ ትክሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ትተክሉ ፡ ወሰብሑ ።
Again you will plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria. The planters will plant, and will enjoy its fruit.
31:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י יֶשׁ ־י֔וֹם קָרְא֥וּ נֹצְרִ֖ים בְּהַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם ק֚וּמוּ וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה צִיּ֔וֹן אֶל ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ ׃ {פ}
φεύγετε καὶ σώσατε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν καὶ ἔσεσθε ὥσπερ ὄνος ἄγριος ἐν ἐρήμῳ
Quia erit dies in qua clamabunt custodes in monte Ephraim : Surgite , et ascendamus in Sion ad Dominum Deum nostrum .
እስመ ፡ ሀለወት ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ጽዋዔሁ ፡ ወታወሥኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ተንሥኡ ፡ ወንዕርግ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽዮን ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ።
For there will be a day that the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim cry, ‘Arise! Let’s go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.’”
31:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי ־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה רׇנּ֤וּ לְיַֽעֲקֹב֙ שִׂמְחָ֔ה וְצַהֲל֖וּ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם הַשְׁמִ֤יעוּ הַֽלְלוּ֙ וְאִמְר֔וּ הוֹשַׁ֤ע יְהֹוָה֙ אֶֽת ־עַמְּךָ֔ אֵ֖ת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
ἐπειδὴ ἐπεποίθεις ἐν ὀχυρώμασίν σου καὶ σὺ συλλημφθήσῃ καὶ ἐξελεύσεται Χαμως ἐν ἀποικίᾳ οἱ ἱερεῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτοῦ ἅμα
Quia haec dicit Dominus : Exsultate in laetitia , Jacob , et hinnite contra caput gentium : personate , et canite , et dicite : Salva , Domine , populum tuum , reliquias Israël .
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተፈሥሑ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ትፍሥሕተ ፡ ወክልሑ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አርእስተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወአስምዑ ፡ ወበሉ ፡ አድኀነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሕዝቦ ፡ እለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ እምእስራኤል ።
For Yahweh says, “Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations. Publish, praise, and say, ‘Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel!’
31:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנְנִי֩ מֵבִ֨יא אוֹתָ֜ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפ֗וֹן וְקִבַּצְתִּים֮ מִיַּרְכְּתֵי ־אָ֒רֶץ֒ בָּ֚ם עִוֵּ֣ר וּפִסֵּ֔חַ הָרָ֥ה וְיֹלֶ֖דֶת יַחְדָּ֑ו קָהָ֥ל גָּד֖וֹל יָשׁ֥וּבוּ הֵֽנָּה ׃
καὶ ἥξει ὄλεθρος ἐπὶ πᾶσαν πόλιν καὶ πόλις οὐ μὴ σωθῇ καὶ ἀπολεῖται ὁ αὐλών καὶ ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ πεδινή καθὼς εἶπεν κύριος
Ecce ego adducam eos de terra aquilonis , et congregabo eos ab extremis terrae : inter quos erunt caecus et claudus , praegnans et pariens simul , coetus magnus revertentium huc .
ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ አመጽኦሙ ፡ እምሰሜን ፡ ወአስተጋብኦሙ ፡ እምአጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ በበዓለ ፡ ፋሲካ ፡ ወይትወለዱ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወይመጽኡ ፡ ዝየ ።
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, along with the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together. They will return as a great company.
31:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ בִּבְכִ֣י יָבֹ֗אוּ וּֽבְתַחֲנוּנִים֮ אֽוֹבִילֵם֒ אֽוֹלִיכֵם֙ אֶל ־נַ֣חֲלֵי מַ֔יִם בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יָשָׁ֔ר לֹ֥א יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ בָּ֑הּ כִּֽי ־הָיִ֤יתִי לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְאָ֔ב וְאֶפְרַ֖יִם בְּכֹ֥רִי הֽוּא ׃ {פ}
δότε σημεῖα τῇ Μωαβ ὅτι ἁφῇ ἀναφθήσεται καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις αὐτῆς εἰς ἄβατον ἔσονται πόθεν ἔνοικος αὐτῇ
In fletu venient , et in misericordia reducam eos : et adducam eos per torrentes aquarum in via recta , et non impingent in ea , quia factus sum Israëli pater , et Ephraim primogenitus meus est .
እንዘ ፡ ይበክዩ ፡ ኀለፉ ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ ይትፌሥሑ ፡ አእተዎሙ ፡ ወየኀድሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሙኃዘ ፡ ማይ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ መጽያሕት ፡ ወኢየዐይሉ ፡ እንከ ፡ እምኔሃ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኮንክዎ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ አባሁ ፡ ወኤፍሬም ፡ በኵርየ ፡ ውእቱ ።
They will come with weeping. I will lead them with petitions. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they won’t stumble; for I am a father to Israel. Ephraim is my firstborn.
31:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ שִׁמְע֤וּ דְבַר ־יְהֹוָה֙ גּוֹיִ֔ם וְהַגִּ֥ידוּ בָאִיִּ֖ים מִמֶּרְחָ֑ק וְאִמְר֗וּ מְזָרֵ֤ה יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ יְקַבְּצֶ֔נּוּ וּשְׁמָר֖וֹ כְּרֹעֶ֥ה עֶדְרֽוֹ ׃
ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ποιῶν τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ἀμελῶς ἐξαίρων μάχαιραν αὐτοῦ ἀφ’ αἵματος
Audite verbum Domini , gentes , et annuntiate in insulis quae procul sunt , et dicite : Qui dispersit Israël congregabit eum , et custodiet eum sicut pastor gregem suum .
ስምዑ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወዜንዉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ ዘርኁቅ ፡ ወበሉ ፡ ዘዘረዎ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ያስተጋብኦ ፡ ወየዐቅቦ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኖላዊ ፡ ዘይርዒ ፡ መርዔቶ ።
“Hear Yahweh’s word, you nations, and declare it in the distant islands. Say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.’
31:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּֽי ־פָדָ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶֽת ־יַעֲקֹ֑ב וּגְאָל֕וֹ מִיַּ֖ד חָזָ֥ק מִמֶּֽנּוּ ׃
ἀνεπαύσατο Μωαβ ἐκ παιδαρίου καὶ πεποιθὼς ἦν ἐπὶ τῇ δόξῃ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐνέχεεν ἐξ ἀγγείου εἰς ἀγγεῖον καὶ εἰς ἀποικισμὸν οὐκ ᾤχετο διὰ τοῦτο ἔστη γεῦμα αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ὀσμὴ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐξέλιπεν
Redemit enim Dominus Jacob , et liberavit eum de manu potentioris .
እስመ ፡ አድኀኖ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ወባልሖ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ዘይኄይሎ ።
For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.
31:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבָ֘אוּ֮ וְרִנְּנ֣וּ בִמְרוֹם ־צִיּוֹן֒ וְנָהֲר֞וּ אֶל ־ט֣וּב יְהֹוָ֗ה עַל ־דָּגָן֙ וְעַל ־תִּירֹ֣שׁ וְעַל ־יִצְהָ֔ר וְעַל ־בְּנֵי ־צֹ֖אן וּבָקָ֑ר וְהָיְתָ֤ה נַפְשָׁם֙ כְּגַ֣ן רָוֶ֔ה וְלֹא ־יוֹסִ֥יפוּ לְדַאֲבָ֖ה עֽוֹד ׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται φησὶν κύριος καὶ ἀποστελῶ αὐτῷ κλίνοντας καὶ κλινοῦσιν αὐτὸν καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ λεπτυνοῦσιν καὶ τὰ κέρατα αὐτοῦ συγκόψουσιν
Et venient , et laudabunt in monte Sion : et confluent ad bona Domini , super frumento , et vino , et oleo , et foetu pecorum et armentorum : eritque anima eorum quasi hortus irriguus , et ultra non esurient .
ወይመጽኡ ፡ ወይትፌሥሑ ፡ በደብረ ፡ ጽዮን ፡ ወይመጽኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሠናይተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ እክል ፡ ወወይን ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ቅብእ ፡ ወአልህምት ፡ ወአባግዕ ፡ ወትከውን ፡ ነፍሶሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ገነት ፡ ርዊት ፡ ወኢይርኅቡ ፡ እንከ ።
They will come and sing in the height of Zion, and will flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, to the new wine, to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd. Their soul will be as a watered garden. They will not sorrow any more at all.
31:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָ֣ז תִּשְׂמַ֤ח בְּתוּלָה֙ בְּמָח֔וֹל וּבַחֻרִ֥ים וּזְקֵנִ֖ים יַחְדָּ֑ו וְהָפַכְתִּ֨י אֶבְלָ֤ם לְשָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְנִ֣חַמְתִּ֔ים וְשִׂמַּחְתִּ֖ים מִיגוֹנָֽם ׃
καὶ καταισχυνθήσεται Μωαβ ἀπὸ Χαμως ὥσπερ κατῃσχύνθη οἶκος Ισραηλ ἀπὸ Βαιθηλ ἐλπίδος αὐτῶν πεποιθότες ἐπ’ αὐτοῖς
Tunc laetabitur virgo in choro , juvenes et senes simul : et convertam luctum eorum in gaudium , et consolabor eos , et laetificabo a dolore suo .
ውእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ይትፌሥሓ ፡ ደናግል ፡ በኃሤት ፡ ወወራዙት ፡ ወሊቃውንት ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ወእሬስዮ ፡ ለላሖሙ ፡ ፍሥሐ ፡ ወአስተፌሥሖሙ ፡ ፍሥሐ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትኀሠዩ ።
Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
31:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְרִוֵּיתִ֛י נֶ֥פֶשׁ הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים דָּ֑שֶׁן וְעַמִּ֛י אֶת ־טוּבִ֥י יִשְׂבָּ֖עוּ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
πῶς ἐρεῖτε ἰσχυροί ἐσμεν καὶ ἄνθρωπος ἰσχύων εἰς τὰ πολεμικά
Et inebriabo animam sacerdotum pinguedine , et populus meus bonis meis adimplebitur , ait Dominus .
ወአዐብዮሙ ፡ ወአረውያ ፡ ለነፍሶሙ ፡ ለካህናት ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሌዊ ፡ ወይጸግቡ ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ እምበረከትየ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people will be satisfied with my goodness,” says Yahweh.
31:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה ק֣וֹל בְּרָמָ֤ה נִשְׁמָע֙ נְהִי֙ בְּכִ֣י תַמְרוּרִ֔ים רָחֵ֖ל מְבַכָּ֣ה עַל ־בָּנֶ֑יהָ מֵאֲנָ֛ה לְהִנָּחֵ֥ם עַל ־בָּנֶ֖יהָ כִּ֥י אֵינֶֽנּוּ ׃ {ס}
ὤλετο Μωαβ πόλις αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκλεκτοὶ νεανίσκοι αὐτοῦ κατέβησαν εἰς σφαγήν
Haec dicit Dominus : Vox in excelso audita est lamentationis : luctus , et fletus Rachel plorantis filios suos , et nolentis consolari super eis , quia non sunt .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቃል ፡ በራማ ፡ ተሰምዐ ፡ ብካይ ፡ ወላሕ ፡ ወገዓር ፡ ራሔል ፡ ትበክዮሙ ፡ ለደቂቃወአበየት ፡ ነጊፈ ፡ ላሐ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢሀለዉ ።
Yahweh says: “A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children. She refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.”
31:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה מִנְעִ֤י קוֹלֵךְ֙ מִבֶּ֔כִי וְעֵינַ֖יִךְ מִדִּמְעָ֑ה כִּי֩ יֵ֨שׁ שָׂכָ֤ר לִפְעֻלָּתֵךְ֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְשָׁ֖בוּ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ אוֹיֵֽב ׃
ἐγγὺς ἡμέρα Μωαβ ἐλθεῖν καὶ πονηρία αὐτοῦ ταχεῖα σφόδρα
Haec dicit Dominus : Quiescat vox tua a ploratu , et oculi tui a lacrimis , quia est merces operi tuo , ait Dominus , et revertentur de terra inimici :
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ክልኢ ፡ ቃለኪ ፡ እምብካይ ፡ ወአዕይንተኪ ፡ እምአንብዕ ፡ እስመቦ ፡ ዕሤት ፡ ለምግባርኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይሰወጡ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ፀር ።
Yahweh says: “Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,” says Yahweh. “They will come again from the land of the enemy.
31:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיֵשׁ ־תִּקְוָ֥ה לְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה וְשָׁ֥בוּ בָנִ֖ים לִגְבוּלָֽם ׃
κινήσατε αὐτῷ πάντες κυκλόθεν αὐτοῦ πάντες εἰδότες ὄνομα αὐτοῦ εἴπατε πῶς συνετρίβη βακτηρία εὐκλεής ῥάβδος μεγαλώματος
et est spes novissimis tuis , ait Dominus , et revertentur filii ad terminos suos .
ወቦተስፋ ፡ ለደኃሪትኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተመይጡ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደወሎሙ ።
There is hope for your latter end,” says Yahweh. “Your children will come again to their own territory.
31:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ שָׁמ֣וֹעַ שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ מִתְנוֹדֵ֔ד יִסַּרְתַּ֙נִי֙ וָֽאִוָּסֵ֔ר כְּעֵ֖גֶל לֹ֣א לֻמָּ֑ד הֲשִׁבֵ֣נִי וְאָשׁ֔וּבָה כִּ֥י אַתָּ֖ה יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי ׃
κατάβηθι ἀπὸ δόξης καὶ κάθισον ἐν ὑγρασίᾳ καθημένη Δαιβων ἐκτρίβητε ὅτι ὤλετο Μωαβ ἀνέβη εἰς σὲ λυμαινόμενος ὀχύρωμά σου
Audiens audivi Ephraim transmigrantem : Castigasti me , et eruditus sum , quasi juvenculus indomitus : converte me , et convertar , quia tu Dominus Deus meus .
ሰሚዐ ፡ ሰማዕኩ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይግዕር ፡ ገሠጽከኒ ፡ ወተገሠጽኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ላህም ፡ ዘኢተምህረ ፡ ሚጠኒ ፡ ወእትመየጥ ፡ እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላኪየ ።
“I have surely heard Ephraim grieving thus, ‘You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf. Turn me, and I will be turned, for you are Yahweh my God.
31:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּֽי ־אַחֲרֵ֤י שׁוּבִי֙ נִחַ֔מְתִּי וְאַֽחֲרֵי֙ הִוָּ֣דְעִ֔י סָפַ֖קְתִּי עַל ־יָרֵ֑ךְ בֹּ֚שְׁתִּי וְגַם ־נִכְלַ֔מְתִּי כִּ֥י נָשָׂ֖אתִי חֶרְפַּ֥ת נְעוּרָֽי ׃
ἐφ’ ὁδοῦ στῆθι καὶ ἔπιδε καθημένη ἐν Αροηρ καὶ ἐρώτησον φεύγοντα καὶ σῳζόμενον καὶ εἰπόν τί ἐγένετο
Postquam enim convertisti me , egi poenitentiam : et postquam ostendisti mihi , percussi femur meum . Confusus sum , et erubui , quoniam sustinui opprobrium adolescentiae meae .
እምድኅረ ፡ ተመጠውኩ ፡ ተፈሣሕኩ ፡ ወእምድኅረ ፡ አእመርኩ ፡ ጠፋሕኩ ፡ እዴየ ፡ ወኀፈርኩ ፡ ወእትኀፈር ፡ እስመ ፡ ነሣእኩ ፡ ጽዕለተ ፡ ንእስየ ።
Surely after that I was turned. I repented. After that I was instructed. I struck my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.’
31:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֲבֵן֩ יַקִּ֨יר לִ֜י אֶפְרַ֗יִם אִ֚ם יֶ֣לֶד שַׁעֲשֻׁעִ֔ים כִּֽי ־מִדֵּ֤י דַבְּרִי֙ בּ֔וֹ זָכֹ֥ר אֶזְכְּרֶ֖נּוּ ע֑וֹד עַל ־כֵּ֗ן הָמ֤וּ מֵעַי֙ ל֔וֹ רַחֵ֥ם אֲֽרַחֲמֶ֖נּוּ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
κατῃσχύνθη Μωαβ ὅτι συνετρίβη ὀλόλυξον καὶ κέκραξον ἀνάγγειλον ἐν Αρνων ὅτι ὤλετο Μωαβ
Si filius honorabilis mihi Ephraim , si puer delicatus ! quia ex quo locutus sum de eo , adhuc recordabor ejus . Idcirco conturbata sunt viscera mea super eum : miserans miserebor ejus , ait Dominus .
ወልድ ፡ ዘአፈቅር ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ሊተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሕፃን ፡ ልሕድ ፡ ለለተናገርክዎ ፡ ተዘክሮ ፡ እዜከሮ ፡ በእንተዝ ፡ ተሀውከ ፡ አማዑትየ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ተሣህሎ ፡ እሠሀሎ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I still earnestly remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh.
31:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַצִּ֧יבִי לָ֣ךְ צִיֻּנִ֗ים שִׂ֤מִי לָךְ֙ תַּמְרוּרִ֔ים שִׁ֣תִי לִבֵּ֔ךְ לַֽמְסִלָּ֖ה דֶּ֣רֶךְ (הלכתי ) [הָלָ֑כְתְּ ] שׁ֚וּבִי בְּתוּלַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שֻׁ֖בִי אֶל ־עָרַ֥יִךְ אֵֽלֶּה ׃
καὶ κρίσις ἔρχεται εἰς γῆν τοῦ Μισωρ ἐπὶ Χαιλων καὶ ἐπὶ Ιασσα καὶ ἐπὶ Μωφαθ
Statue tibi speculam ; pone tibi amaritudines ; dirige cor tuum in viam rectam in qua ambulasti : revertere , virgo Israël , revertere ad civitates tuas istas .
አቅሚ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ጸወናተ ፡ ወግበሪ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ትእምርታተ ፡ ደዪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልብኪ ፡ መጽያሕተ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ እንተ ፡ ሖርኪ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሰወጢ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገርኪ ፡ ድንግለ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ተሰወጢ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገርኪ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትላሕዊ ።
“Set up road signs. Make guideposts. Set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went. Turn again, virgin of Israel. Turn again to these your cities.
31:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַד ־מָתַי֙ תִּתְחַמָּקִ֔ין הַבַּ֖ת הַשּֽׁוֹבֵבָ֑ה כִּֽי ־בָרָ֨א יְהֹוָ֤ה חֲדָשָׁה֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ נְקֵבָ֖ה תְּס֥וֹבֵֽב גָּֽבֶר ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐπὶ Δαιβων καὶ ἐπὶ Ναβαυ καὶ ἐπ’ οἶκον Δεβλαθαιμ
Usquequo deliciis dissolveris , filia vaga ? quia creavit Dominus novum super terram : femina circumdabit virum .
እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ትገብኢ ፡ ወለት ፡ ዕሉት ፡ እስመ ፡ ገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሐዳሰ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወይመጽእ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መድኃኒት ።
How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? For Yahweh has created a new thing on the earth: a woman will encompass a man.”
31:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֞ר יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל ע֣וֹד יֹאמְר֞וּ אֶת ־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֗ה בְּאֶ֤רֶץ יְהוּדָה֙ וּבְעָרָ֔יו בְּשׁוּבִ֖י אֶת ־שְׁבוּתָ֑ם יְבָרֶכְךָ֧ יְהֹוָ֛ה נְוֵה ־צֶ֖דֶק הַ֥ר הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ ׃
καὶ ἐπὶ Καριαθαιμ καὶ ἐπ’ οἶκον Γαμωλ καὶ ἐπ’ οἶκον Μαων
Haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Adhuc dicent verbum istud in terra Juda et in urbibus ejus , cum convertero captivitatem eorum : Benedicat tibi Dominus , pulchritudo justitiae , mons sanctus :
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ይብሉ ፡ ዘነገረ ፡ በይሁዳ ፡ ወበአህጉሪሁ ፡ አመ ፡ ሜጥኩ ፡ ፄዋሆሙ ፡ ይባርከከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ማኅደረ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ደብረ ፡ መቅደስከ ።
Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Yet again they will use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I reverse their captivity: ‘Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.’
31:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָ֥שְׁבוּ בָ֛הּ יְהוּדָ֥ה וְכׇל ־עָרָ֖יו יַחְדָּ֑ו אִכָּרִ֕ים וְנָסְע֖וּ בַּעֵֽדֶר ׃
καὶ ἐπὶ Καριωθ καὶ ἐπὶ Βοσορ καὶ ἐπὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις Μωαβ τὰς πόρρω καὶ τὰς ἐγγύς
et habitabunt in eo Judas et omnes civitates ejus simul , agricolae et minantes greges .
ወእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ አህጉሪሁ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ሐረሳውያን ፡ ወያነሥኡ ፡ መራዕየ ።
Judah and all its cities will dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.
31:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֥י הִרְוֵ֖יתִי נֶ֣פֶשׁ עֲיֵפָ֑ה וְכׇל ־נֶ֥פֶשׁ דָּאֲבָ֖ה מִלֵּֽאתִי ׃
κατεάχθη κέρας Μωαβ καὶ τὸ ἐπίχειρον αὐτοῦ συνετρίβη
Quia inebriavi animam lassam , et omnem animam esurientem saturavi .
እስመ ፡ አርወይኩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ ጽምእተ ፡ ወአጽገብኩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ ርኅብተ ።
For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”
31:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַל ־זֹ֖את הֱקִיצֹ֣תִי וָאֶרְאֶ֑ה וּשְׁנָתִ֖י עָ֥רְבָה לִּֽי ׃ {ס}
μεθύσατε αὐτόν ὅτι ἐπὶ κύριον ἐμεγαλύνθη καὶ ἐπικρούσει Μωαβ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται εἰς γέλωτα καὶ αὐτός
Ideo quasi de somno suscitatus sum : et vidi , et somnus meus dulcis mihi .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ነቃሕኩ ፡ ወርኢኩ ፡ ወጥዕመኒ ፡ ንዋምየ ።
On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.
31:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֛ה יָמִ֥ים בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה וְזָרַעְתִּ֗י אֶת ־בֵּ֤ית יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְאֶת ־בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה זֶ֥רַע אָדָ֖ם וְזֶ֥רַע בְּהֵמָֽה ׃
καὶ εἰ μὴ εἰς γελοιασμὸν ἦν σοι Ισραηλ εἰ ἐν κλοπαῖς σου εὑρέθη ὅτι ἐπολέμεις αὐτόν
Ecce dies veniunt , dicit Dominus , et seminabo domum Israël et domum Juda semine hominum et semine jumentorum .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ናሁ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወእዘርኦሙ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወለቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ዘርአ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ ወዘርአ ፡ እንስሳ ።
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of animal.
31:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֞ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֧ר שָׁקַ֣דְתִּי עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם לִנְת֧וֹשׁ וְלִנְת֛וֹץ וְלַהֲרֹ֖ס וּלְהַאֲבִ֣יד וּלְהָרֵ֑עַ כֵּ֣ן אֶשְׁקֹ֧ד עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם לִבְנ֥וֹת וְלִנְטֹ֖עַ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃
κατέλιπον τὰς πόλεις καὶ ᾤκησαν ἐν πέτραις οἱ κατοικοῦντες Μωαβ ἐγενήθησαν ὡς περιστεραὶ νοσσεύουσαι ἐν πέτραις στόματι βοθύνου
Et sicut vigilavi super eos ut evellerem , et demolirer , et dissiparem , et disperderem , et affligerem , sic vigilabo super eos ut aedificem et plantem , ait Dominus .
ወበከመ ፡ ተጋህኩ ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ እንሥቶሙ ፡ ወአሕምሞሙ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ እተግህ ፡ ከመ ፡ እሕንጾሙ ፡ ወእትክሎሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
It will happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” says Yahweh.
31:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם לֹא ־יֹאמְר֣וּ ע֔וֹד אָב֖וֹת אָ֣כְלוּ בֹ֑סֶר וְשִׁנֵּ֥י בָנִ֖ים תִּקְהֶֽינָה ׃
ἤκουσα ὕβριν Μωαβ ὕβρισεν λίαν ὕβριν αὐτοῦ καὶ ὑπερηφανίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ ὑψώθη ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ
In diebus illis non dicent ultra : Patres comederunt uvam acerbam , et dentes filiorum obstupuerunt .
ውእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ኢይብሉ ፡ እንከ ፡ አበው ፡ በልዑ ፡ ቆዓ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ፀርሱ ፡ ስነኒሆሙ ።
“In those days they will say no more, “‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’
31:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֛י אִם ־אִ֥ישׁ בַּעֲוֺנ֖וֹ יָמ֑וּת כׇּל ־הָֽאָדָ֛ם הָאֹכֵ֥ל הַבֹּ֖סֶר תִּקְהֶ֥ינָה שִׁנָּֽיו ׃ {ס}
ἐγὼ δὲ ἔγνων ἔργα αὐτοῦ οὐχὶ τὸ ἱκανὸν αὐτοῦ οὐχ οὕτως ἐποίησεν
Sed unusquisque in iniquitate sua morietur : omnis homo qui comederit uvam acerbam , obstupescent dentes ejus .
ዳእሙ ፡ ፩፩ይመውት ፡ በኃጢአቱ ፡ ወዘሂ ፡ በልዐ ፡ ቆዓ ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ ይፀርስ ፡ ስነኒሁ ።
But everyone will die for his own iniquity. Every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be set on edge.
31:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֛ה יָמִ֥ים בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה וְכָרַתִּ֗י אֶת ־בֵּ֧ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וְאֶת ־בֵּ֥ית יְהוּדָ֖ה בְּרִ֥ית חֲדָשָֽׁה ׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἐπὶ Μωαβ ὀλολύζετε πάντοθεν βοήσατε ἐπ’ ἄνδρας Κιραδας αὐχμοῦ
Ecce dies venient , dicit Dominus , et feriam domui Israël et domui Juda foedus novum ,
ናሁ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወእሠርዕ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወለቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ሥርዓተ ፡ ሐዲሰ ።
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah,
31:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹ֣א כַבְּרִ֗ית אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּרַ֙תִּי֙ אֶת ־אֲבוֹתָ֔ם בְּיוֹם֙ הֶחֱזִיקִ֣י בְיָדָ֔ם לְהוֹצִיאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁר ־הֵ֜מָּה הֵפֵ֣רוּ אֶת ־בְּרִיתִ֗י וְאָנֹכִ֛י בָּעַ֥לְתִּי בָ֖ם נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃
ὡς κλαυθμὸν Ιαζηρ ἀποκλαύσομαί σοι ἄμπελος Σεβημα κλήματά σου διῆλθεν θάλασσαν Ιαζηρ ἥψαντο ἐπὶ ὀπώραν σου ἐπὶ τρυγηταῖς σου ὄλεθρος ἐπέπεσεν
non secundum pactum quod pepigi cum patribus eorum in die qua apprehendi manum eorum ut educerem eos de terra Aegypti , pactum quod irritum fecerunt : et ego dominatus sum eorum , dicit Dominus .
ወአኮ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሥርዓት ፡ ዘሠራዕኩ ፡ ለአበዊሆሙ ፡ አመ ፡ አኀዝኩ ፡ በእደዊሆሙ ፡ ወአውፃእክዎሙ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እስመ ፡ እሙንቱኒ ፡ ኢነበሩ ፡ በኪዳንየ ፡ ወአነሂ ፡ ተሀየይክዎሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.
31:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י זֹ֣את הַבְּרִ֡ית אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶכְרֹת֩ אֶת ־בֵּ֨ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אַחֲרֵ֨י הַיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵם֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה נָתַ֤תִּי אֶת ־תּֽוֹרָתִי֙ בְּקִרְבָּ֔ם וְעַל ־לִבָּ֖ם אֶכְתְּבֶ֑נָּה וְהָיִ֤יתִי לָהֶם֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים וְהֵ֖מָּה יִֽהְיוּ ־לִ֥י לְעָֽם ׃
συνεψήσθη χαρμοσύνη καὶ εὐφροσύνη ἐκ τῆς Μωαβίτιδος καὶ οἶνος ἦν ἐπὶ ληνοῖς σου πρωὶ οὐκ ἐπάτησαν οὐδὲ δείλης οὐκ ἐποίησαν αιδαδ
Sed hoc erit pactum quod feriam cum domo Israël post dies illos , dicit Dominus : dabo legem meam in visceribus eorum , et in corde eorum scribam eam , et ero eis in Deum , et ipsi erunt mihi in populum :
ወከመዝ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሥርዓት ፡ እንተ ፡ እሠርዕ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ እማንቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እወዲ ፡ ሕግየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ወእጽሕፎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕሊናሆሙ ፡ ወእከውኖሙ ፡ አምላኮሙ ፡ ወእሙንቱኒ ፡ ይከውኑኒ ፡ ሕዝብየ ።
“But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh: “I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
31:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹ֧א יְלַמְּד֣וּ ע֗וֹד אִ֣ישׁ אֶת ־רֵעֵ֜הוּ וְאִ֤ישׁ אֶת ־אָחִיו֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר דְּע֖וּ אֶת ־יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּֽי ־כוּלָּם֩ יֵדְע֨וּ אוֹתִ֜י לְמִקְּטַנָּ֤ם וְעַד ־גְּדוֹלָם֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה כִּ֤י אֶסְלַח֙ לַֽעֲוֺנָ֔ם וּלְחַטָּאתָ֖ם לֹ֥א אֶזְכָּר ־עֽוֹד ׃ {ס}
ἀπὸ κραυγῆς Εσεβων ἕως Ελεαλη αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν ἔδωκαν φωνὴν αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Ζογορ ἕως Ωρωναιμ καὶ Αγλαθ‐σαλισια ὅτι καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ Νεβριμ εἰς κατάκαυμα ἔσται
et non docebit ultra vir proximum suum et vir fratrem suum , dicens : Cognosce Dominum : omnes enim cognoscent me , a minimo eorum usque ad maximum , ait Dominus : quia propitiabor iniquitati eorum , et peccati eorum non memorabor amplius .
ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይሜህር ፡ እንከ ፡ ፩፩ለእኅዋሁ ፡ ወ፩፩ለቢጹ ፡ ወይብሎ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ የአምሩኒ ፡ ንኡሶሙ ፡ ወዓቢዮሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ እሰሪ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ኃጢአቶሙ ፡ ወኢይዜከር ፡ እንከ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ አበሳሆሙ ።
They will no longer each teach his neighbor, and every man teach his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh;’ for they will all know me, from their least to their greatest,” says Yahweh, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
31:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה נֹתֵ֥ן שֶׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ לְא֣וֹר יוֹמָ֔ם חֻקֹּ֛ת יָרֵ֥חַ וְכוֹכָבִ֖ים לְא֣וֹר לָ֑יְלָה רֹגַ֤ע הַיָּם֙ וַיֶּהֱמ֣וּ גַלָּ֔יו יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁמֽוֹ ׃
καὶ ἀπολῶ τὸν Μωαβ φησὶν κύριος ἀναβαίνοντα ἐπὶ βωμὸν καὶ θυμιῶντα θεοῖς αὐτοῦ
Haec dicit Dominus qui dat solem in lumine diei , ordinem lunae et stellarum in lumine noctis : qui turbat mare , et sonant fluctus ejus : Dominus exercituum nomen illi :
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘወሀበ ፡ ፀሐየ ፡ ያብርህ ፡ በመዓልት ፡ ወወርኃ ፡ ወከዋክብተ ፡ ያብርሁ ፡ በሌሊተ ፡ ዘያረምማ ፡ ለባሕር ፡ ወለድምፀ ፡ ማዕበላ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘኵሎ ፡ ይመልክ ፡ ስሙ ።
Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar— Yahweh of Armies is his name, says:
31:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ אִם ־יָמֻ֜שׁוּ הַחֻקִּ֥ים הָאֵ֛לֶּה מִלְּפָנַ֖י נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה גַּם֩ זֶ֨רַע יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל יִשְׁבְּת֗וּ מִהְי֥וֹת גּ֛וֹי לְפָנַ֖י כׇּל ־הַיָּמִֽים ׃ {ס}
διὰ τοῦτο καρδία μου Μωαβ ὥσπερ αὐλοὶ βομβήσουσιν καρδία μου ἐπ’ ἀνθρώπους Κιραδας ὥσπερ αὐλὸς βομβήσει διὰ τοῦτο ἃ περιεποιήσατο ἀπώλετο ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου
Si defecerint leges istae coram me , dicit Dominus , tunc et semen Israël deficiet , ut non sit gens coram me cunctis diebus .
ወዝኒ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ኀደጉ ፡ ሥርዓቶሙ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘርአ ፡ እስራኤልኒ ፡ ይትኀደጉ ፡ እምከዊነ ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕል ።
“If these ordinances depart from before me,” says Yahweh, “then the offspring of Israel also will cease from being a nation before me forever.”
31:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה אִם ־יִמַּ֤דּוּ שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ מִלְמַ֔עְלָה וְיֵחָקְר֥וּ מוֹסְדֵי ־אֶ֖רֶץ לְמָ֑טָּה גַּם ־אֲנִ֞י אֶמְאַ֨ס בְּכׇל ־זֶ֧רַע יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עַֽל ־כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשׂ֖וּ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
πᾶσαν κεφαλὴν ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ ξυρήσονται καὶ πᾶς πώγων ξυρηθήσεται καὶ πᾶσαι χεῖρες κόψονται καὶ ἐπὶ πάσης ὀσφύος σάκκος
Haec dicit Dominus : Si mensurari potuerint caeli sursum , et investigari fundamenta terrae deorsum , et ego abjiciam universum semen Israël , propter omnia quae fecerunt , dicit Dominus .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሶበ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ይትሌዐል ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወይትአተት ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወምድርኒ ፡ ይወርድ ፡ ወይተሐት ፡ ወአነሂ ፡ እሜንኖሙ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ዘርአ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵኩ ፡ ምግባሮሙ ።
Yahweh says: “If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done,” says Yahweh.
31:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֛ה יָמִ֥ים [בָּאִ֖ים ] נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה וְנִבְנְתָ֤ה הָעִיר֙ לַיהֹוָ֔ה מִמִּגְדַּ֥ל חֲנַנְאֵ֖ל שַׁ֥עַר הַפִּנָּֽה ׃
καὶ ἐπὶ πάντων τῶν δωμάτων Μωαβ καὶ ἐπὶ πλατείαις αὐτῆς ὅτι συνέτριψα τὸν Μωαβ φησὶν κύριος ὡς ἀγγεῖον οὗ οὐκ ἔστιν χρεία αὐτοῦ
Ecce dies veniunt , dicit Dominus , et aedificabitur civitas Domino , a turre Hananeel usque ad portam anguli .
ናሁ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወትትሐነጽ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እማኅፈደ ፡ አናምሔል ፡ እስከ ፡ ኆኅተ ፡ ማዕዘንት ።
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the city will be built to Yahweh from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.
31:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָצָ֨א ע֜וֹד (קוה ) [קָ֤ו ] הַמִּדָּה֙ נֶגְדּ֔וֹ עַ֖ל גִּבְעַ֣ת גָּרֵ֑ב וְנָסַ֖ב גֹּעָֽתָה ׃
πῶς κατήλλαξεν πῶς ἔστρεψεν νῶτον Μωαβ ᾐσχύνθη καὶ ἐγένετο Μωαβ εἰς γέλωτα καὶ ἐγκότημα πᾶσιν τοῖς κύκλῳ αὐτῆς
Et exibit ultra norma mensurae in conspectu ejus super collem Gareb , et circuibit Goatha ,
ወይበጽሕ ፡ አምጣኒሃ ፡ እስከ ፡ ወግረ ፡ ጋሬብ ።
The measuring line will go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and will turn toward Goah.
31:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכׇל ־הָעֵ֣מֶק הַפְּגָרִ֣ים ׀וְהַדֶּ֡שֶׁן וְכׇֽל ־[הַשְּׁדֵמוֹת֩ ] (השרמות ) עַד ־נַ֨חַל קִדְר֜וֹן עַד ־פִּנַּ֨ת שַׁ֤עַר הַסּוּסִים֙ מִזְרָ֔חָה קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַיהֹוָ֑ה לֹא ־יִנָּתֵ֧שׁ וְֽלֹא ־יֵהָרֵ֛ס ע֖וֹד לְעוֹלָֽם ׃ {פ}
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος
et omnem vallem cadaverum , et cineris , et universam regionem mortis usque ad torrentem Cedron , et usque ad angulum portae equorum orientalis , Sanctum Domini : non evelletur , et non destruetur ultra in perpetuum .
ወኵሉ ፡ አስሬሞት ፡ እስከ ፡ ፈለገ ፡ ቄድሮስ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ማዕዘንተ ፡ ዴዴ ፡ አፍራስ ፡ እምጽባሕ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢየኀልቅ ፡ እንከ ፡ ወኢይትነሠት ፡ እምከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, will be holy to Yahweh. It will not be plucked up or thrown down any more forever.”
31:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ἐλήμφθη Ακκαριωθ καὶ τὰ ὀχυρώματα συνελήμφθη
— — Akkarioth has been taken, and the strongholds have been captured.
31:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ — καὶ ἀπολεῖται Μωαβ ἀπὸ ὄχλου ὅτι ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἐμεγαλύνθη
— — And Moab shall perish from being a multitude, for he magnified himself against the Lord.
31:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ — παγὶς καὶ φόβος καὶ βόθυνος ἐπὶ σοί καθήμενος Μωαβ
— — A snare and fear and a pit are upon you, O inhabitant of Moab.
31:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ — ὁ φεύγων ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ φόβου ἐμπεσεῖται εἰς τὸν βόθυνον καὶ ὁ ἀναβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ βοθύνου συλλημφθήσεται ἐν τῇ παγίδι ὅτι ἐπάξω ταῦτα ἐπὶ Μωαβ ἐν ἐνιαυτῷ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῆς
— — He who flees from before the fear shall fall into the pit, and he who comes up out of the pit shall be caught in the snare; for I will bring these things upon Moab in the year of her visitation.
