22:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָ֚ז יִקְרָ֣א יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ לָראוּבֵנִ֖י וְלַגָּדִ֑י וְלַחֲצִ֖י מַטֵּ֥ה מְנַשֶּֽׁה ׃
τότε συνεκάλεσεν Ἰησοῦς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ρουβην καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση
Eodem tempore vocavit Josue Rubenitas , et Gaditas , et dimidiam tribum Manasse ,
ወእምዝ ፡ ጸውዖሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወለደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወለመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ።
Then Joshua called the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh,
22:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אַתֶּ֣ם שְׁמַרְתֶּ֔ם אֵ֚ת כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֣ה אֶתְכֶ֔ם מֹשֶׁ֖ה עֶ֣בֶד יְהֹוָ֑ה וַתִּשְׁמְע֣וּ בְקוֹלִ֔י לְכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר ־צִוִּ֖יתִי אֶתְכֶֽם ׃
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὑμεῖς ἀκηκόατε πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο ὑμῖν Μωυσῆς ὁ παῖς κυρίου καὶ ἐπηκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς μου κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετειλάμην ὑμῖν
dixitque ad eos : Fecistis omnia quae praecepit vobis Moyses famulus Domini : mihi quoque in omnibus obedistis ,
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ለሊክሙ ፡ ሰማዕክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአዘዘክሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቍልዔሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃልየ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአዘዝኩክሙ ።
and said to them, “You have kept all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, and have listened to my voice in all that I commanded you.
22:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹֽא ־עֲזַבְתֶּ֣ם אֶת ־אֲחֵיכֶ֗ם זֶ֚ה יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֕ם אֶת ־מִשְׁמֶ֕רֶת מִצְוַ֖ת יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם ׃
οὐκ ἐγκαταλελοίπατε τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν ταύτας τὰς ἡμέρας καὶ πλείους ἕως τῆς σήμερον ἡμέρας ἐφυλάξασθε τὴν ἐντολὴν κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν
nec reliquistis fratres vestros longo tempore , usque in praesentem diem , custodientes imperium Domini Dei vestri .
ወኢኀደግሙ ፡ አኀዊክሙ ፡ በእማንቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ብዙኃት ፡ እስከ ፡ ዮም ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወዐቀብክሙ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ።
You have not left your brothers these many days to this day, but have performed the duty of the commandment of Yahweh your God.
22:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַתָּ֗ה הֵנִ֨יחַ יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ לַאֲחֵיכֶ֔ם כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם וְעַתָּ֡ה פְּנוּ֩ וּלְכ֨וּ לָכֶ֜ם לְאׇהֳלֵיכֶ֗ם אֶל ־אֶ֙רֶץ֙ אֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ נָתַ֣ן לָכֶ֗ם מֹשֶׁה֙ עֶ֣בֶד יְהֹוָ֔ה בְּעֵ֖בֶר הַיַּרְדֵּֽן ׃
νῦν δὲ κατέπαυσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἡμῶν ὃν τρόπον εἶπεν αὐτοῖς νῦν οὖν ἀποστραφέντες ἀπέλθατε εἰς τοὺς οἴκους ὑμῶν καὶ εἰς τὴν γῆν τῆς κατασχέσεως ὑμῶν ἣν ἔδωκεν ὑμῖν Μωυσῆς ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου
Quia igitur dedit Dominus Deus vester fratribus vestris quietem et pacem , sicut pollicitus est : revertimini , et ite in tabernacula vestra , et in terram possessionis , quam tradidit vobis Moyses famulus Domini trans Jordanem :
ወይእዜሰ ፡ አዕረፎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ለአኀዊክሙ ፡ በከመ ፡ ይቤሎሙ ፡ ወይእዜኒ ፡ ተመየጡ ፡ ወእትው ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲክሙ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ደወልክሙ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ዘወሀበክሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በማዕዶተ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ።
Now Yahweh your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan.
22:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ רַ֣ק ׀ שִׁמְר֣וּ מְאֹ֗ד לַעֲשׂ֨וֹת אֶת ־הַמִּצְוָ֣ה וְאֶת ־הַתּוֹרָה֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֣ה אֶתְכֶם֮ מֹשֶׁ֣ה עֶֽבֶד ־יְהֹוָה֒ לְ֠אַהֲבָ֠ה אֶת ־יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֜ם וְלָלֶ֧כֶת בְּכׇל ־דְּרָכָ֛יו וְלִשְׁמֹ֥ר מִצְוֺתָ֖יו וּלְדׇבְקָה ־ב֑וֹ וּלְעׇבְד֕וֹ בְּכׇל ־לְבַבְכֶ֖ם וּבְכׇל ־נַפְשְׁכֶֽם ׃
ἀλλὰ φυλάξασθε ποιεῖν σφόδρα τὰς ἐντολὰς καὶ τὸν νόμον ὃν ἐνετείλατο ἡμῖν ποιεῖν Μωυσῆς ὁ παῖς κυρίου ἀγαπᾶν κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν πορεύεσθαι πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ φυλάξασθαι τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ προσκεῖσθαι αὐτῷ καὶ λατρεύειν αὐτῷ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς διανοίας ὑμῶν καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς ὑμῶν
ita dumtaxat ut custodiatis attente , et opere compleatis mandatum et legem quam praecepit vobis Moyses famulus Domini , ut diligatis Dominum Deum vestrum , et ambuletis in omnibus viis ejus , et observetis mandata illius , adhaereatisque ei , ac serviatis in omni corde , et in omni anima vestra .
ወባሕቱ ፡ ተዓቀቡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትግበሩ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ ወሕገ ፡ ዘአዘዘክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትግበሩ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቍልዔሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ታፍቅርዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወትሑሩ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ፍናዊሁ ፡ ወትዕቀቡ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ወትትልውዎ ፡ ወታምልክዎ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ልብክሙ ፡ ወበኵሉ ፡ ነፍስክሙ ።
Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
22:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְבָרְכֵ֖ם יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵ֔ם וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ אֶל ־אׇהֳלֵיהֶֽם ׃ {פ}
καὶ ηὐλόγησεν αὐτοὺς Ἰησοῦς καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτούς καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν
Benedixitque eis Josue , et dimisit eos . Qui reversi sunt in tabernacula sua .
ወባረኮሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ወፈነዎሙ ፡ ወአተው ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ።
So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away; and they went to their tents.
22:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלַֽחֲצִ֣י ׀ שֵׁ֣בֶט הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֗ה נָתַ֣ן מֹשֶׁה֮ בַּבָּשָׁן֒ וּלְחֶצְי֗וֹ נָתַ֤ן יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ עִם ־אֲחֵיהֶ֔ם (מעבר ) [בְּעֵ֥בֶר ] הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן יָ֑מָּה וְ֠גַ֠ם כִּֽי ־שִׁלְּחָ֧ם יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ אֶל ־אׇהֳלֵיהֶ֖ם וַֽיְבָרְכֵֽם ׃
καὶ τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση ἔδωκεν Μωυσῆς ἐν τῇ Βασανίτιδι καὶ τῷ ἡμίσει ἔδωκεν Ἰησοῦς μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου παρὰ θάλασσαν καὶ ἡνίκα ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς Ἰησοῦς εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς
Dimidiae autem tribui Manasse possessionem Moyses dederat in Basan : et idcirco mediae , quae superfuit , dedit Josue sortem inter ceteros fratres suos trans Jordanem ad occidentalem plagam . Cumque dimitteret eos in tabernacula sua , et benedixisset eis ,
ወለመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ወሀቦሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በባሳን ፡ ወለመንፈቆሙሰ ፡ ወሀቦሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አኀዊሆሙ ፡ በማዕዶተ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ ዘኀበ ፡ ባሕር ፤ ወሶበ ፡ ፈነዎሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ፡ ወባረኮሙ ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ።
Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given inheritance in Bashan; but Joshua gave to the other half among their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. Moreover when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them,
22:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם לֵאמֹ֗ר בִּנְכָסִ֨ים רַבִּ֜ים שׁ֤וּבוּ אֶל ־אׇֽהֳלֵיכֶם֙ וּבְמִקְנֶ֣ה רַב ־מְאֹ֔ד בְּכֶ֨סֶף וּבְזָהָ֜ב וּבִנְחֹ֧שֶׁת וּבְבַרְזֶ֛ל וּבִשְׂלָמ֖וֹת הַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד חִלְק֥וּ שְׁלַל ־אֹיְבֵיכֶ֖ם עִם ־אֲחֵיכֶֽם ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐν χρήμασιν πολλοῖς ἀπήλθοσαν εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν καὶ κτήνη πολλὰ σφόδρα καὶ ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον καὶ σίδηρον καὶ ἱματισμὸν πολύν καὶ διείλαντο τὴν προνομὴν τῶν ἐχθρῶν μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν
dixit ad eos : In multa substantia atque divitiis revertimini ad sedes vestras , cum argento et auro , aere ac ferro , et veste multiplici : dividite praedam hostium cum fratribus vestris .
ወአተው ፡ ምስለ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ እንስሶ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ወወርቅ ፡ ወብሩር ፡ ወብርት ፡ ወኀፂን ፡ ወልብስ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ተካፈሉ ፡ በርበረ ፡ ፀሮሙ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አኀዊሆሙ ።
and spoke to them, saying, “Return with much wealth to your tents, with very much livestock, with silver, with gold, with bronze, with iron, and with very much clothing. Divide the plunder of your enemies with your brothers.”
22:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ וַיֵּלְכ֡וּ בְּנֵֽי ־רְאוּבֵ֨ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֜ד וַחֲצִ֣י ׀ שֵׁ֣בֶט הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֗ה מֵאֵת֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִשִּׁלֹ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּאֶֽרֶץ ־כְּנָ֑עַן לָלֶ֜כֶת אֶל ־אֶ֣רֶץ הַגִּלְעָ֗ד אֶל ־אֶ֤רֶץ אֲחֻזָּתָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נֹֽאחֲזוּ ־בָ֔הּ עַל ־פִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה בְּיַד ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃
καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς υἱῶν Μανασση ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἐκ Σηλω ἐν γῇ Χανααν ἀπελθεῖν εἰς γὴν Γαλααδ εἰς γῆν κατασχέσεως αὐτῶν ἣν ἐκληρονόμησαν αὐτὴν διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ
Reversique sunt , et abierunt filii Ruben , et filii Gad , et dimidia tribus Manasse , a filiis Israël de Silo , quae sita est in Chanaan , ut intrarent Galaad terram possessionis suae , quam obtinuerant juxta imperium Domini in manu Moysi .
ወተመይጡ ፡ ወአተው ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ እምነ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምነ ፡ ሴሎ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሑሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ገላአድ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ርስቶሙ ፡ [ዘተዋረስዋ ፡] በትእዛዘ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በእደ ፡ ሙሴ ።
The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
22:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ אֶל ־גְּלִיל֣וֹת הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן וַיִּבְנ֣וּ בְנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֣ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֡ד וַחֲצִ֣י שֵׁ֩בֶט֩ הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֨ה שָׁ֤ם מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ עַל ־הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן מִזְבֵּ֥חַ גָּד֖וֹל לְמַרְאֶֽה ׃
καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Γαλγαλα τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἥ ἐστιν ἐν γῇ Χανααν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση ἐκεῖ βωμὸν ἐπὶ τοῦ Ιορδάνου βωμὸν μέγαν τοῦ ἰδεῖν
Cumque venissent ad tumulos Jordanis in terram Chanaan , aedificaverunt juxta Jordanem altare infinitae magnitudinis .
ወበጽሑ ፡ ውሰተ ፡ ገላአድ ፡ ዘዮርዳንስ ፡ ዘምድረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ ወነደቁ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ በህየ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ዘያስተርኢ ።
When they came to the region near the Jordan, that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an altar there by the Jordan, a great altar to look at.
22:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁמְע֥וּ בְנֵי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר הִנֵּ֣ה בָנ֣וּ בְנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֣ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֡ד וַחֲצִי֩ שֵׁ֨בֶט הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֜ה אֶת ־הַמִּזְבֵּ֗חַ אֶל ־מוּל֙ אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן אֶל ־גְּלִילוֹת֙ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן אֶל ־עֵ֖בֶר בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ λεγόντων ἰδοὺ ᾠκοδόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση βωμὸν ἐφ’ ὁρίων γῆς Χανααν ἐπὶ τοῦ Γαλααδ τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἐν τῷ πέραν υἱῶν Ισραηλ
Quod cum audissent filii Israël , et ad eos certi nuntii detulissent , aedificasse filios Ruben , et Gad , et dimidiae tribus Manasse , altare in terra Chanaan , super Jordanis tumulos , contra filios Israël :
ወሰምዑ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከመ ፡ ነደቁ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወመንፈቂ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ በኀበ ፡ ገላአድ ፡ ዘዮርዳንስ ፡ በማዕዶቶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
The children of Israel heard this, “Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar along the border of the land of Canaan, in the region around the Jordan, on the side that belongs to the children of Israel.”
22:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּקָּ֨הֲל֜וּ כׇּל ־עֲדַ֤ת בְּנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ שִׁלֹ֔ה לַעֲל֥וֹת עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם לַצָּבָֽא ׃ {פ}
καὶ συνηθροίσθησαν πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ εἰς Σηλω ὥστε ἀναβάντες ἐκπολεμῆσαι αὐτούς
convenerunt omnes in Silo , ut ascenderent , et dimicarent contra eos .
ወሰምዑ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወተጋብኡ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሴሎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይዕረጉ ፡ ይትቃተልዎሙ ።
When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.
22:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ בְנֵי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶל ־בְּנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֧ן וְאֶל ־בְּנֵי ־גָ֛ד וְאֶל ־חֲצִ֥י שֵֽׁבֶט ־מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה אֶל ־אֶ֣רֶץ הַגִּלְעָ֑ד אֶת ־פִּֽינְחָ֖ס בֶּן ־אֶלְעָזָ֥ר הַכֹּהֵֽן ׃
καὶ ἀπέστειλαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ρουβην καὶ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Γαδ καὶ πρὸς τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση εἰς γῆν Γαλααδ τόν τε Φινεες υἱὸν Ελεαζαρ υἱοῦ Ααρων τοῦ ἀρχιερέως
Et interim miserunt ad illos in terram Galaad Phinees filium Eleazari sacerdotis ,
ወለአኩ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ገላአድ ፡ ፊንሕስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ እልዐዛር ፡ ወልደ ፡ አሮን ፡ ካህን ፤
The children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest.
22:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַעֲשָׂרָ֤ה נְשִׂאִים֙ עִמּ֔וֹ נָשִׂ֨יא אֶחָ֜ד נָשִׂ֤יא אֶחָד֙ לְבֵ֣ית אָ֔ב לְכֹ֖ל מַטּ֣וֹת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאִ֨ישׁ רֹ֧אשׁ בֵּית ־אֲבוֹתָ֛ם הֵ֖מָּה לְאַלְפֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ δέκα τῶν ἀρχόντων μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἄρχων εἷς ἀπὸ οἴκου πατριᾶς ἀπὸ πασῶν φυλῶν Ισραηλ ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν εἰσιν χιλίαρχοι Ισραηλ
et decem principes cum eo , singulos de singulis tribubus .
ወዐሠርቱ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ መላእክት ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ (ወ )መልአክ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምነ ፡ አብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ነገደ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዕደወ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ኦበዊሆሙ ፡ መሳፍንት ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
With him were ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were each head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.
22:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ אֶל ־בְּנֵֽי ־רְאוּבֵ֧ן וְאֶל ־בְּנֵי ־גָ֛ד וְאֶל ־חֲצִ֥י שֵׁבֶט ־מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה אֶל ־אֶ֣רֶץ הַגִּלְעָ֑ד וַיְדַבְּר֥וּ אִתָּ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ παρεγένοντο πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Γαδ καὶ πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ρουβην καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἡμίσεις φυλῆς Μανασση εἰς γῆν Γαλααδ καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς αὐτοὺς λέγοντες
Qui venerunt ad filios Ruben , et Gad , et dimidiae tribus Manasse in terram Galaad , dixeruntque ad eos :
ወበጽሑ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወኀበ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገላአድ ፡ ወነገርዎሙ ፡ ወይቤልዎሙ ፤
They came to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying,
22:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֣ה אָמְר֞וּ כֹּ֣ל ׀ עֲדַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֗ה מָֽה ־הַמַּ֤עַל הַזֶּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר מְעַלְתֶּם֙ בֵּאלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לָשׁ֣וּב הַיּ֔וֹם מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י יְהֹוָ֑ה בִּבְנוֹתְכֶ֤ם לָכֶם֙ מִזְבֵּ֔חַ לִמְרׇדְכֶ֥ם הַיּ֖וֹם בַּיהֹוָֽה ׃
τάδε λέγει πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ κυρίου τίς ἡ πλημμέλεια αὕτη ἣν ἐπλημμελήσατε ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ Ισραηλ ἀποστραφῆναι σήμερον ἀπὸ κυρίου οἰκοδομήσαντες ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς βωμὸν ἀποστάτας ὑμᾶς γενέσθαι ἀπὸ κυρίου
Haec mandat omnis populus Domini : Quae est ista transgressio ? cur reliquistis Dominum Deum Israël , aedificantes altare sacrilegum , et a cultu illius recedentes ?
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤሉ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተዓይነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምንትኑአ ፡ ዛቲአ ፡ አበሳአ ፡ እንተ ፡ አበስክሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከመ ፡ ትኅድጉ ፡ ዮም ፡ ተሊዎቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወትንድቁ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ትክሐድዎ ፡ ዮም ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
“The whole congregation of Yahweh says, ‘What trespass is this that you have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away today from following Yahweh, in that you have built yourselves an altar, to rebel today against Yahweh?
22:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַמְעַט ־לָ֙נוּ֙ אֶת ־עֲוֺ֣ן פְּע֔וֹר אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא ־הִטַּהַ֙רְנוּ֙ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיְהִ֥י הַנֶּ֖גֶף בַּעֲדַ֥ת יְהֹוָֽה ׃
μὴ μικρὸν ἡμῖν τὸ ἁμάρτημα Φογωρ ὅτι οὐκ ἐκαθαρίσθημεν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ἐγενήθη πληγὴ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ κυρίου
an parum vobis est quod peccastis in Beelphegor , et usque in praesentem diem macula hujus sceleris in nobis permanet , multique de populo corruerunt ?
አስተንአስክሙኑ ፡ ኀጢአቶ ፡ ለፌጎር ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢነጻሕነ ፡ እምኔሃ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዮም ፡ ወኮነ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ትዕይንተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves to this day, although there came a plague on the congregation of Yahweh,
22:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַתֶּם֙ תָּשֻׁ֣בוּ הַיּ֔וֹם מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְהָיָ֗ה אַתֶּ֞ם תִּמְרְד֤וּ הַיּוֹם֙ בַּיהֹוָ֔ה וּמָחָ֕ר אֶֽל ־כׇּל ־עֲדַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יִקְצֹֽף ׃
καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀποστραφήσεσθε σήμερον ἀπὸ κυρίου καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ἀποστῆτε σήμερον ἀπὸ κυρίου καὶ αὔριον ἐπὶ πάντα Ισραηλ ἔσται ἡ ὀργή
Et vos hodie reliquistis Dominum , et cras in universum Israël ira ejus desaeviet .
ወዮምኒ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ኀደግሙ ፡ ተሊዎቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወእምከመ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ ክሕድክምዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ጌሠመ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ይከውን ፡ መቅሠፍት ።
that you must turn away today from following Yahweh? It will be, since you rebel today against Yahweh, that tomorrow he will be angry with the whole congregation of Israel.
22:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַ֨ךְ אִם ־טְמֵאָ֜ה אֶ֣רֶץ אֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֗ם עִבְר֨וּ לָכֶ֜ם אֶל ־אֶ֨רֶץ אֲחֻזַּ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר שָֽׁכַן ־שָׁם֙ מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהֹוָ֔ה וְהֵאָחֲז֖וּ בְּתוֹכֵ֑נוּ וּבַיהֹוָ֣ה אַל ־תִּמְרֹ֗דוּ וְאֹתָ֙נוּ֙ אַל ־תִּמְרֹ֔דוּ בִּבְנֹתְכֶ֤ם לָכֶם֙ מִזְבֵּ֔חַ מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֔י מִזְבַּ֖ח יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ ׃
καὶ νῦν εἰ μικρὰ ὑμῖν ἡ γῆ τῆς κατασχέσεως ὑμῶν διάβητε εἰς τὴν γῆν τῆς κατασχέσεως κυρίου οὗ κατασκηνοῖ ἐκεῖ ἡ σκηνὴ κυρίου καὶ κατακληρονομήσατε ἐν ἡμῖν καὶ μὴ ἀποστάται ἀπὸ θεοῦ γενήθητε καὶ μὴ ἀπόστητε ἀπὸ κυρίου διὰ τὸ οἰκοδομῆσαι ὑμᾶς βωμὸν ἔξω τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν
Quod si putatis immundam esse terram possessionis vestrae , transite ad terram , in qua tabernaculum Domini est , et habitate inter nos : tantum ut a Domino et a nostro consortio non recedatis , aedificato altari praeter altare Domini Dei nostri .
ወይእዜኒ ፡ እመ ፡ ትንእሰክሙ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ምድርክሙ ፡ ዕድው ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ደወለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ትነብር ፡ ህየ ፡ ደብተራሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተወረሱ ፡ ምስሌነ ፡ ወኢትክሐድዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢትኅድግዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ነደቅሙ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ አፍአ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምሥዋዒሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ።
However, if the land of your possession is unclean, then pass over to the land of the possession of Yahweh, in which Yahweh’s tabernacle dwells, and take possession among us; but don’t rebel against Yahweh, nor rebel against us, in building an altar other than Yahweh our God’s altar.
22:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֲל֣וֹא ׀ עָכָ֣ן בֶּן ־זֶ֗רַח מָ֤עַל מַ֙עַל֙ בַּחֵ֔רֶם וְעַֽל ־כׇּל ־עֲדַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הָ֣יָה קָ֑צֶף וְהוּא֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶחָ֔ד לֹ֥א גָוַ֖ע בַּעֲוֺנֽוֹ ׃ {ס}
οὐκ ἰδοὺ Αχαρ ὁ τοῦ Ζαρα πλημμελείᾳ ἐπλημμέλησεν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀναθέματος καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσαν συναγωγὴν Ισραηλ ἐγενήθη ὀργή καὶ οὗτος εἷς μόνος ἦν μὴ μόνος οὗτος ἀπέθανεν τῇ ἑαυτοῦ ἁμαρτίᾳ
Nonne Achan filius Zare praeteriit mandatum Domini , et super omnem populum Israël ira ejus incubuit ? et ille erat unus homo , atque utinam solum periisset in scelere suo .
አካኑ ፡ አካር ፡ ወልደ ፡ [ዛራ ፡] አበሰ ፡ ወጌገየ ፡ ወነሥአ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዘሕሩም ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ትዕይንተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኮነ ፡ መንሱት ፡ እንዘ ፡ ባሕቲቱ ፡ አበሰ ፡ ቦኑአ ፡ ባሕቲቱአ ፡ ሞተአ ፡ በኀጢአቱአ ።
Didn’t Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? That man didn’t perish alone in his iniquity.’”
22:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיַּעֲנוּ֙ בְּנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֣ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֔ד וַחֲצִ֖י שֵׁ֣בֶט הַֽמְנַשֶּׁ֑ה וַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּ אֶת ־רָאשֵׁ֖י אַלְפֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση καὶ ἐλάλησαν τοῖς χιλιάρχοις Ισραηλ λέγοντες
Responderuntque filii Ruben et Gad , et dimidia tribus Manasse , principibus legationis Israël :
ወአውሥኡ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ወይቤልዎሙ ፡ ለመላእክተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብሉ ፤
Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered, and spoke to the heads of the thousands of Israel,
22:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֵל֩ ׀אֱלֹהִ֨ים ׀יְהֹוָ֜ה אֵ֣ל ׀אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀יְהֹוָה֙ ה֣וּא יֹדֵ֔עַ וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל ה֣וּא יֵדָ֑ע אִם ־בְּמֶ֤רֶד וְאִם ־בְּמַ֙עַל֙ בַּיהֹוָ֔ה אַל ־תּוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּ הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה ׃
ὁ θεὸς θεός ἐστιν κύριος καὶ ὁ θεὸς θεὸς κύριος αὐτὸς οἶδεν καὶ Ισραηλ αὐτὸς γνώσεται εἰ ἐν ἀποστασίᾳ ἐπλημμελήσαμεν ἔναντι τοῦ κυρίου μὴ ῥύσαιτο ἡμᾶς ἐν ταύτῃ
Fortissimus Deus Dominus , fortissimus Deus Dominus , ipse novit , et Israël simul intelliget : si praevaricationis animo hoc altare construximus , non custodiat nos , sed puniat nos in praesenti :
እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ወእግዚእ ፡ ወአምላከ ፡ አማልክት ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ያአምር ፡ ወለእስራኤልኒ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ያአምሮ ፡ ከመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ለክሒድ ፡ ወለአብሶ ፡ ዘገበርነ ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወእመአኮሰ ፡ ኢያድኅነነ ፡ ዮም ።
“The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, the Mighty One, God, Yahweh, he knows; and Israel shall know: if it was in rebellion, or if in trespass against Yahweh (don’t save us today),
22:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ לִבְנ֥וֹת לָ֙נוּ֙ מִזְבֵּ֔חַ לָשׁ֖וּב מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְאִם ־לְהַעֲל֨וֹת עָלָ֜יו עוֹלָ֣ה וּמִנְחָ֗ה וְאִם ־לַעֲשׂ֤וֹת עָלָיו֙ זִבְחֵ֣י שְׁלָמִ֔ים יְהֹוָ֖ה ה֥וּא יְבַקֵּֽשׁ ׃
καὶ εἰ ᾠκοδομήσαμεν αὑτοῖς βωμὸν ὥστε ἀποστῆναι ἀπὸ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ὥστε ἀναβιβάσαι ἐπ’ αὐτὸν θυσίαν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων ἢ ὥστε ποιῆσαι ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ θυσίαν σωτηρίου κύριος ἐκζητήσει
et si ea mente fecimus ut holocausta , et sacrificium , et pacificas victimas super eo imponeremus , ipse quaerat et judicet :
ወእመኒ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ነደቅነ ፡ ለነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንክሐዶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ናዕርግ ፡ ውስቴቱ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ቍርባን ፡ ወእመኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንግበር ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ መድኅኒት ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለይትኀሠሠነ ።
that we have built us an altar to turn away from following Yahweh; or if to offer burnt offering or meal offering, or if to offer sacrifices of peace offerings, let Yahweh himself require it.
22:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאִם ־לֹ֤א מִדְּאָגָה֙ מִדָּבָ֔ר עָשִׂ֥ינוּ אֶת ־זֹ֖את לֵאמֹ֑ר מָחָ֗ר יֹֽאמְר֨וּ בְנֵיכֶ֤ם לְבָנֵ֙ינוּ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר מַה ־לָּכֶ֕ם וְלַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
ἀλλ’ ἕνεκεν εὐλαβείας ῥήματος ἐποιήσαμεν τοῦτο λέγοντες ἵνα μὴ εἴπωσιν αὔριον τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν τοῖς τέκνοις ἡμῶν τί ὑμῖν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ Ισραηλ
et non ea magis cogitatione atque tractatu , ut diceremus : Cras dicent filii vestri filiis nostris : Quid vobis et Domino Deo Israël ?
እመ ፡ አኮ ፡ በበይነ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ፍርሀተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘገበርናሁ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ንብል ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይበሉ ፡ ጌሠመ ፡ ውሉድክሙ ፡ ለውሉድነ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ብክሙ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
“If we have not out of concern done this, and for a reason, saying, ‘In time to come your children might speak to our children, saying, “What have you to do with Yahweh, the God of Israel?
22:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּגְב֣וּל נָֽתַן ־יְ֠הֹוָ֠ה בֵּינֵ֨נוּ וּבֵינֵיכֶ֜ם בְּנֵֽי ־רְאוּבֵ֤ן וּבְנֵי ־גָד֙ אֶת ־הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן אֵין ־לָכֶ֥ם חֵ֖לֶק בַּיהֹוָ֑ה וְהִשְׁבִּ֤יתוּ בְנֵיכֶם֙ אֶת ־בָּנֵ֔ינוּ לְבִלְתִּ֖י יְרֹ֥א אֶת ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ὅρια ἔθηκεν κύριος ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμῶν καὶ ὑμῶν τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὑμῖν μερὶς κυρίου καὶ ἀπαλλοτριώσουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν τοὺς υἱοὺς ἡμῶν ἵνα μὴ σέβωνται κύριον
terminum posuit Dominus inter nos et vos , o filii Ruben , et filii Gad , Jordanem fluvium , et idcirco partem non habetis in Domino : et per hanc occasionem avertent filii vestri filios nostros a timore Domini . Putavimus itaque melius ,
እስመ ፡ አቀመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሰነ ፡ ማእከሌክሙ ፡ ወማእከሌነ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወለደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወለመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ [ለዮርዳንስ ፡] ወአልብክሙ ፡ ክፍለ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይሬስይዎሙ ፡ ነኪረ ፡ ውሉድክሙ ፡ ለውሉድነ ፡ (ከመ ፡ ኢያውፅ [እዎ ]ሙ ፡) እምነ ፡ አምልኮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
For Yahweh has made the Jordan a border between us and you, you children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no portion in Yahweh.”’ So your children might make our children cease from fearing Yahweh.
22:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַנֹּ֕אמֶר נַעֲשֶׂה ־נָּ֣א לָ֔נוּ לִבְנ֖וֹת אֶת ־הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ לֹ֥א לְעוֹלָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א לְזָֽבַח ׃
καὶ εἴπαμεν ποιῆσαι οὕτως τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν βωμὸν τοῦτον οὐχ ἕνεκεν καρπωμάτων οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν θυσιῶν
et diximus : Exstruamus nobis altare , non in holocausta , neque ad victimas offerendas ,
ወንቤ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንግበር ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ወንንድቅ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ አኮ ፡ በበይነ ፡ ቍርባን ፡ ወአኮ ፡ በበይነ ፡ መሥዋዕት ።
“Therefore we said, ‘Let’s now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;
22:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי֩ עֵ֨ד ה֜וּא בֵּינֵ֣ינוּ וּבֵינֵיכֶ֗ם וּבֵ֣ין דֹּרוֹתֵ֘ינוּ֮ אַחֲרֵ֒ינוּ֒ לַעֲבֹ֞ד אֶת ־עֲבֹדַ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ לְפָנָ֔יו בְּעֹלוֹתֵ֥ינוּ וּבִזְבָחֵ֖ינוּ וּבִשְׁלָמֵ֑ינוּ וְלֹא ־יֹאמְר֨וּ בְנֵיכֶ֤ם מָחָר֙ לְבָנֵ֔ינוּ אֵין ־לָכֶ֥ם חֵ֖לֶק בַּיהֹוָֽה ׃
ἀλλ’ ἵνα ᾖ τοῦτο μαρτύριον ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμῶν καὶ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν γενεῶν ἡμῶν μεθ’ ἡμᾶς τοῦ λατρεύειν λατρείαν κυρίῳ ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς καρπώμασιν ἡμῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς θυσίαις ἡμῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς θυσίαις τῶν σωτηρίων ἡμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐροῦσιν τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν τοῖς τέκνοις ἡμῶν αὔριον οὐκ ἔστιν ὑμῖν μερὶς κυρίου
sed in testimonium inter nos et vos , et sobolem nostram vestramque progeniem , ut serviamus Domino , et juris nostri sit offerre et holocausta , et victimas , et pacificas hostias : et nequaquam dicant cras filii vestri filiis nostris : Non est vobis pars in Domino .
አላ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ስም [ዐ ] ፡ ማእከሌነ ፡ ወማእከሌክሙ ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ ውሉድነ ፡ እምድኅሬነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያምልክዎ ፡ አምልከ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ በቍርባንክሙ ፡ ወበመሥዋዕተ ፡ መድኀኒትክሙ ፡ ወኢይበልዎሙ ፡ ውሉድክሙ ፡ ለውሉድነ ፡ ጌሠመ ፡ አልብክሙ ፡ ክፍለ ፡ ምስለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
but it will be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may perform the service of Yahweh before him with our burnt offerings, with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings;’ that your children may not tell our children in time to come, ‘You have no portion in Yahweh.’
22:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַנֹּ֕אמֶר וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי ־יֹאמְר֥וּ אֵלֵ֛ינוּ וְאֶל ־דֹּרֹתֵ֖ינוּ מָחָ֑ר וְאָמַ֡רְנוּ רְא֣וּ אֶת ־תַּבְנִית֩ מִזְבַּ֨ח יְהֹוָ֜ה אֲשֶׁר ־עָשׂ֣וּ אֲבוֹתֵ֗ינוּ לֹ֤א לְעוֹלָה֙ וְלֹ֣א לְזֶ֔בַח כִּֽי ־עֵ֣ד ה֔וּא בֵּינֵ֖ינוּ וּבֵינֵיכֶֽם ׃
καὶ εἴπαμεν ἐὰν γένηταί ποτε καὶ λαλήσωσιν πρὸς ἡμᾶς καὶ ταῖς γενεαῖς ἡμῶν αὔριον καὶ ἐροῦσιν ἴδετε ὁμοίωμα τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου ὃ ἐποίησαν οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν οὐχ ἕνεκεν καρπωμάτων οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν θυσιῶν ἀλλὰ μαρτύριόν ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν υἱῶν ἡμῶν
Quod si voluerint dicere , respondebunt eis : Ecce altare Domini , quod fecerunt patres nostri , non in holocausta , neque in sacrificium , sed in testimonium nostrum ac vestrum .
ወንቤ ፡ እመቦ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ ወይቤሉነ ፡ ጌሠመ ፡ አው ፡ ለውሉድነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቤልዎሙ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ርእዩ ፡ አምሳለ ፡ [ምሥዋዑ ፡] ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘገብሩ ፡ አበዊነ ፡ አኮ ፡ በበይነ ፡ ቍርባን ፡ ወአኮ ፡ በበይነ ፡ መሥዋዕት ፡ አላ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ስምዕ ፡ ማእከሌነ ፡ ወማእከሌክሙ ።
“Therefore we said, ‘It shall be, when they tell us or our generations this in time to come, that we shall say, “Behold the pattern of Yahweh’s altar, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.”’
22:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ חָלִ֩ילָה֩ לָּ֨נוּ מִמֶּ֜נּוּ לִמְרֹ֣ד בַּֽיהֹוָ֗ה וְלָשׁ֤וּב הַיּוֹם֙ מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה לִבְנ֣וֹת מִזְבֵּ֔חַ לְעֹלָ֖ה לְמִנְחָ֣ה וּלְזָ֑בַח מִלְּבַ֗ד מִזְבַּח֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ אֲשֶׁ֖ר לִפְנֵ֥י מִשְׁכָּנֽוֹ ׃ {פ}
μὴ γένοιτο οὖν ἡμᾶς ἀποστραφῆναι ἀπὸ κυρίου ἐν ταῖς σήμερον ἡμέραις ἀποστῆναι ἀπὸ κυρίου ὥστε οἰκοδομῆσαι ἡμᾶς θυσιαστήριον τοῖς καρπώμασιν καὶ ταῖς θυσίαις σαλαμιν καὶ τῇ θυσίᾳ τοῦ σωτηρίου πλὴν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου ὅ ἐστιν ἐναντίον τῆς σκηνῆς αὐτοῦ
Absit a nobis hoc scelus , ut recedamus a Domino , et ejus vestigia relinquamus , exstructo altari ad holocausta , et sacrificia , et victimas offerendas , praeter altare Domini Dei nostri , quod exstructum est ante tabernaculum ejus .
ሐሰ ፡ ለነ ፡ እስከ ፡ ነኀድግ ፡ ተሊዎቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በእላንቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ዮም ፡ ከመ ፡ ንክሐዶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወከመ ፡ ንንድቅ ፡ ለነ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ለቍርባን ፡ ወለመሥዋዕተ ፡ ሰላም ፡ ወለመሥዋዕተ ፡ መድኀኒት ፡ እንበለ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምሥዋዒሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ [ዘቅድመ ፡ ደብተራሁ ።]
“Far be it from us that we should rebel against Yahweh, and turn away today from following Yahweh, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides Yahweh our God’s altar that is before his tabernacle!”
22:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁמַ֞ע פִּֽינְחָ֣ס הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וּנְשִׂיאֵ֨י הָעֵדָ֜ה וְרָאשֵׁ֨י אַלְפֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתּ֔וֹ אֶ֨ת ־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֧ר דִּבְּר֛וּ בְּנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֥ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֖ד וּבְנֵ֣י מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה וַיִּיטַ֖ב בְּעֵינֵיהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἀκούσας Φινεες ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες τῆς συναγωγῆς Ισραηλ οἳ ἦσαν μετ’ αὐτοῦ τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἐλάλησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση καὶ ἤρεσεν αὐτοῖς
Quibus auditis , Phinees sacerdos , et principes legationis Israël , qui erant cum eo , placati sunt : et verba filiorum Ruben , et Gad , et dimidiae tribus Manasse , libentissime susceperunt .
ወሶበ ፡ ሰምዐ ፡ ፊንሕስ ፡ ካህን ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ተዓይን ፡ ወመሳፍንተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እለ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዘይቤልዎሙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ አርመሙ ።
When Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them well.
22:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר פִּֽינְחָ֣ס בֶּן ־אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֡ן אֶל ־בְּנֵֽי ־רְאוּבֵ֨ן וְאֶל ־בְּנֵי ־גָ֜ד וְאֶל ־בְּנֵ֣י מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה הַיּ֤וֹם ׀יָדַ֙עְנוּ֙ כִּֽי ־בְתוֹכֵ֣נוּ יְהֹוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹא ־מְעַלְתֶּ֥ם בַּיהֹוָ֖ה הַמַּ֣עַל הַזֶּ֑ה אָ֗ז הִצַּלְתֶּ֛ם אֶת ־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִיַּ֥ד יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Φινεες ὁ ἱερεὺς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ρουβην καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Γαδ καὶ τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση σήμερον ἐγνώκαμεν ὅτι μεθ’ ἡμῶν κύριος διότι οὐκ ἐπλημμελήσατε ἐναντίον κυρίου πλημμέλειαν καὶ ὅτι ἐρρύσασθε τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ χειρὸς κυρίου
Dixitque Phinees filius Eleazari sacerdos ad eos : Nunc scimus quod nobiscum sit Dominus , quoniam alieni estis a praevaricatione hac , et liberastis filios Israël de manu Domini .
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ፊንሕስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ እልዐዛር ፡ ካህን ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወለደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወለመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ዮም ፡ አእመርነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሀለወ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢአበስክሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዛተ ፡ ኀጢአተ ፡ ወእስመ ፡ አድኀንክምዎሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ እምእዴሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben, to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, “Today we know that Yahweh is among us, because you have not committed this trespass against Yahweh. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of Yahweh’s hand.”
22:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֣שׇׁב פִּֽינְחָ֣ס בֶּן ־אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֣ן ׀וְהַנְּשִׂיאִ֡ים מֵאֵ֣ת בְּנֵֽי ־רְאוּבֵן֩ וּמֵאֵ֨ת בְּנֵי ־גָ֜ד מֵאֶ֧רֶץ הַגִּלְעָ֛ד אֶל ־אֶ֥רֶץ כְּנַ֖עַן אֶל ־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיָּשִׁ֥בוּ אוֹתָ֖ם דָּבָֽר ׃
καὶ ἀπέστρεψεν Φινεες ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ρουβην καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Γαδ καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασση ἐκ γῆς Γαλααδ εἰς γῆν Χανααν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτοῖς τοὺς λόγους
Reversusque est cum principibus a filiis Ruben et Gad de terra Galaad , finium Chanaan , ad filios Israël , et retulit eis .
ወገብአ ፡ ፊንሕስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ እልዐዛር ፡ ወመላእክት ፡ አምነ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ እምነ ፡ ገላአድ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናኣን ፡ ኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወነገርዎሙ ።
Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.
22:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּיטַ֣ב הַדָּבָ֗ר בְּעֵינֵי֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיְבָרְכ֥וּ אֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹ֣א אָמְר֗וּ לַעֲל֤וֹת עֲלֵיהֶם֙ לַצָּבָ֔א לְשַׁחֵת֙ אֶת ־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֛ר בְּנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֥ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֖ד יֹשְׁבִ֥ים בָּֽהּ ׃
καὶ ἤρεσεν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐλάλησαν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ εὐλόγησαν τὸν θεὸν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπαν μηκέτι ἀναβῆναι πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς πόλεμον ἐξολεθρεῦσαι τὴν γῆν τῶν υἱῶν Ρουβην καὶ τῶν υἱῶν Γαδ καὶ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασση καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς
Placuitque sermo cunctis audientibus . Et laudaverunt Deum filii Israël , et nequaquam ultra dixerunt , ut ascenderent contra eos , atque pugnarent , et delerent terram possessionis eorum .
ወአደሞሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ነገር ፡ ወሶበ ፡ ነገርዎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ባረክዎ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ ኢንዕርግ ፡ እንከ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንትቃተሎሙ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ናጥፍኣ ፡ ለምድረ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ወዘመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፤ ወነበሩ ፡ ላዕሌ [ሃ ] ።
The thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad lived.
22:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּ בְּנֵי ־רְאוּבֵ֥ן וּבְנֵי ־גָ֖ד לַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ כִּ֣י עֵ֥ד הוּא֙ בֵּֽינֹתֵ֔ינוּ כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה הָאֱלֹהִֽים ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν Ἰησοῦς τὸν βωμὸν τῶν Ρουβην καὶ τῶν Γαδ καὶ τοῦ ἡμίσους φυλῆς Μανασση καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι μαρτύριόν ἐστιν ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτῶν ἐστιν
Vocaveruntque filii Ruben , et filii Gad , altare quod exstruxerant , Testimonium nostrum , quod Dominus ipse sit Deus .
ወሰመዮ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ምሥዋዕ ፡ ዘሮቤል ፡ ወዘጋድ ፡ ወዘመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ እስመ ፡ ስምዕ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላኮሙ ።
The children of Reuben and the children of Gad named the altar “A Witness Between Us that Yahweh is God.”
