11:1
וַיְדַבֵּ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹ֥ר אֲלֵהֶֽם׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron, dicens :
ወነበቦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,
11:2
דַּבְּר֛וּ אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר זֹ֤את הַֽחַיָּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאכְל֔וּ מִכׇּל־הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
λαλήσατε τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λέγοντες ταῦτα τὰ κτήνη ἃ φάγεσθε ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Dicite filiis Israël : Haec sunt animalia quae comedere debetis de cunctis animantibus terrae :
ንግርዎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወበልዎሙ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.
11:3
כֹּ֣ל׀ מַפְרֶ֣סֶת פַּרְסָ֗ה וְשֹׁסַ֤עַת שֶׁ֙סַע֙ פְּרָסֹ֔ת מַעֲלַ֥ת גֵּרָ֖ה בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה אֹתָ֖הּ תֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃
πᾶν κτῆνος διχηλοῦν ὁπλὴν καὶ ὀνυχιστῆρας ὀνυχίζον δύο χηλῶν καὶ ἀνάγον μηρυκισμὸν ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσιν ταῦτα φάγεσθε
omne quod habet divisam ungulam, et ruminat in pecoribus, comedetis.
ኵሉ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወሥጡቅ ፡ ጽፍሩ ፡ ማእከሉ ፡ ወእንተ ፡ ክልኤቲ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወዘይትመሠኳዕ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ኪያሁ ፡ ብልዑ ።
Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.
11:4
אַ֤ךְ אֶת־זֶה֙ לֹ֣א תֹֽאכְל֔וּ מִֽמַּעֲלֵי֙ הַגֵּרָ֔ה וּמִמַּפְרִסֵ֖י הַפַּרְסָ֑ה אֶֽת־הַ֠גָּמָ֠ל כִּֽי־מַעֲלֵ֨ה גֵרָ֜ה ה֗וּא וּפַרְסָה֙ אֵינֶ֣נּוּ מַפְרִ֔יס טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃
πλὴν ἀπὸ τούτων οὐ φάγεσθε ἀπὸ τῶν ἀναγόντων μηρυκισμὸν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν διχηλούντων τὰς ὁπλὰς καὶ ὀνυχιζόντων ὀνυχιστῆρας τὸν κάμηλον ὅτι ἀνάγει μηρυκισμὸν τοῦτο ὁπλὴν δὲ οὐ διχηλεῖ ἀκάθαρτον τοῦτο ὑμῖν
Quidquid autem ruminat quidem, et habet ungulam, sed non dividit eam, sicut camelus et cetera, non comedetis illud, et inter immunda reputabitis.
ወዝንቱ ፡ ባሕቱ ፡ ዘኢትበልዑ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ዘይትመሠኳዕ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ዘንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ገመል ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትመሠኳዕ ፡ ወኢኮነ ፡ ንፉቀ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
“‘Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.
11:5
וְאֶת־הַשָּׁפָ֗ן כִּֽי־מַעֲלֵ֤ה גֵרָה֙ ה֔וּא וּפַרְסָ֖ה לֹ֣א יַפְרִ֑יס טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ τὸν δασύποδα ὅτι ἀνάγει μηρυκισμὸν τοῦτο καὶ ὁπλὴν οὐ διχηλεῖ ἀκάθαρτον τοῦτο ὑμῖν
Choerogryllus qui ruminat, ungulamque non dividit, immundus est.
ወደሲጶዳሂ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትመሠኳዕ ፡ ወኢኮነ ፡ ንፉቀ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወዝንቱኒ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
The hyrax, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.
11:6
וְאֶת־הָאַרְנֶ֗בֶת כִּֽי־מַעֲלַ֤ת גֵּרָה֙ הִ֔וא וּפַרְסָ֖ה לֹ֣א הִפְרִ֑יסָה טְמֵאָ֥ה הִ֖וא לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ τὸν χοιρογρύλλιον ὅτι ἀνάγει μηρυκισμὸν τοῦτο καὶ ὁπλὴν οὐ διχηλεῖ ἀκάθαρτον τοῦτο ὑμῖν
Lepus quoque : nam et ipse ruminat, sed ungulam non dividit.
ወኪሮግርሊዮስ[ኒ] ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትመሠኳዕ ፡ ወኢኮነ ፡ ንፉቀ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወውእቱኒ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
The hare, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.
11:7
וְאֶת־הַ֠חֲזִ֠יר כִּֽי־מַפְרִ֨יס פַּרְסָ֜ה ה֗וּא וְשֹׁסַ֥ע שֶׁ֙סַע֙ פַּרְסָ֔ה וְה֖וּא גֵּרָ֣ה לֹֽא־יִגָּ֑ר טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ τὸν ὗν ὅτι διχηλεῖ ὁπλὴν τοῦτο καὶ ὀνυχίζει ὄνυχας ὁπλῆς καὶ τοῦτο οὐκ ἀνάγει μηρυκισμόν ἀκάθαρτον τοῦτο ὑμῖν
Et sus : qui cum ungulam dividat, non ruminat.
ወሐራውያኒ ፡ እስመ ፡ ንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወሥጡቅ ፡ እምነ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ጽፈሪሁ ፡ ወኢይትመሠኳዕ ፡ ወውእቱኒ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
The pig, because it has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you.
11:8
מִבְּשָׂרָם֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ וּבְנִבְלָתָ֖ם לֹ֣א תִגָּ֑עוּ טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶֽם׃
ἀπὸ τῶν κρεῶν αὐτῶν οὐ φάγεσθε καὶ τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν οὐχ ἅψεσθε ἀκάθαρτα ταῦτα ὑμῖν
Horum carnibus non vescemini, nec cadavera contingetis, quia immunda sunt vobis.
እምነ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ ወበድኖሙኒ ፡ ኢትግስሱ ፡ እስመ ፡ ርኩሳን ፡ ውእቶሙ ፡ ለክሙ ።
You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses. They are unclean to you.
11:9
אֶת־זֶה֙ תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמָּ֑יִם כֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ֩ סְנַפִּ֨יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֜שֶׂת בַּמַּ֗יִם בַּיַּמִּ֛ים וּבַנְּחָלִ֖ים אֹתָ֥ם תֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃
καὶ ταῦτα ἃ φάγεσθε ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν αὐτοῖς πτερύγια καὶ λεπίδες ἐν τοῖς ὕδασιν καὶ ἐν ταῖς θαλάσσαις καὶ ἐν τοῖς χειμάρροις ταῦτα φάγεσθε
Haec sunt quae gignuntur in aquis, et vesci licitum est : omne quod habet pinnulas et squamas, tam in mari quam in fluminibus et stagnis, comedetis.
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘቦ ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ወቅሣረ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አፍላግ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ።
“‘You may eat of all these that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.
11:10
וְכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֵֽין־ל֜וֹ סְנַפִּ֣יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֗שֶׂת בַּיַּמִּים֙ וּבַנְּחָלִ֔ים מִכֹּל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הַמַּ֔יִם וּמִכֹּ֛ל נֶ֥פֶשׁ הַחַיָּ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמָּ֑יִם שֶׁ֥קֶץ הֵ֖ם לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ πάντα ὅσα οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτοῖς πτερύγια οὐδὲ λεπίδες ἐν τῷ ὕδατι ἢ ἐν ταῖς θαλάσσαις καὶ ἐν τοῖς χειμάρροις ἀπὸ πάντων ὧν ἐρεύγεται τὰ ὕδατα καὶ ἀπὸ πάσης ψυχῆς ζώσης τῆς ἐν τῷ ὕδατι βδέλυγμά ἐστιν
Quidquid autem pinnulas et squamas non habet, eorum quae in aquis moventur et vivunt, abominabile vobis,
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ወቅሣረ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወዘውስተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወዘውስተ ፡ አፍላግ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይጐሥዕ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እንተ ፡ ሕያውት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ።
All that don’t have fins and scales in the seas and rivers, all that move in the waters, and all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you,
11:11
וְשֶׁ֖קֶץ יִהְי֣וּ לָכֶ֑ם מִבְּשָׂרָם֙ לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֔לוּ וְאֶת־נִבְלָתָ֖ם תְּשַׁקֵּֽצוּ׃
καὶ βδελύγματα ἔσονται ὑμῖν ἀπὸ τῶν κρεῶν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἔδεσθε καὶ τὰ θνησιμαῖα αὐτῶν βδελύξεσθε
execrandumque erit : carnes eorum non comedetis, et morticina vitabitis.
ወርኩሰ ፡ ይኩንክሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ኢትብልዑ ፡ ወበድኖሙኒ ፡ አስቆርሩ ።
and you shall detest them. You shall not eat of their meat, and you shall detest their carcasses.
11:12
כֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין־ל֛וֹ סְנַפִּ֥יר וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת בַּמָּ֑יִם שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ πάντα ὅσα οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτοῖς πτερύγια καὶ λεπίδες τῶν ἐν τῷ ὕδατι βδέλυγμα τοῦτό ἐστιν ὑμῖν
Cuncta quae non habent pinnulas et squamas in aquis, polluta erunt.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ወቅሣረ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters is an abomination to you.
11:13
וְאֶת־אֵ֙לֶּה֙ תְּשַׁקְּצ֣וּ מִן־הָע֔וֹף לֹ֥א יֵאָכְל֖וּ שֶׁ֣קֶץ הֵ֑ם אֶת־הַנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ וְאֶת־הַפֶּ֔רֶס וְאֵ֖ת הָעׇזְנִיָּֽה׃
καὶ ταῦτα βδελύξεσθε ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ οὐ βρωθήσεται βδέλυγμά ἐστιν τὸν ἀετὸν καὶ τὸν γρύπα καὶ τὸν ἁλιαίετον
Haec sunt quae de avibus comedere non debetis, et vitanda sunt vobis : aquilam, et gryphem, et haliaeetum,
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘታስቆርሩ ፡ እምነ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ወዘኢትበልዑ ፡ እስመ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ንስር ፡ ወግሪጳ ፡ ወአልያጦን ፤
“‘You shall detest these among the birds; they shall not be eaten because they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture,
11:14
וְאֶ֨ת־הַדָּאָ֔ה וְאֶת־הָאַיָּ֖ה לְמִינָֽהּ׃
καὶ τὸν γύπα καὶ ἰκτῖνα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ
et milvum ac vulturem juxta genus suum,
ወ[ጊጳ] ፡ ወግለውቃ ፡ ወሆባይ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአምሳሉ ።
the red kite, any kind of black kite,
11:15
אֵ֥ת כׇּל־עֹרֵ֖ב לְמִינֽוֹ׃
καὶ κόρακα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ
et omne corvini generis in similitudinem suam,
ወቋዕ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአምሳሉ ፤
any kind of raven,
11:16
וְאֵת֙ בַּ֣ת הַֽיַּעֲנָ֔ה וְאֶת־הַתַּחְמָ֖ס וְאֶת־הַשָּׁ֑חַף וְאֶת־הַנֵּ֖ץ לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃
καὶ στρουθὸν καὶ γλαῦκα καὶ λάρον καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ καὶ ἱέρακα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ
struthionem, et noctuam, et larum, et accipitrem juxta genus suum :
ወሰገኖ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአምሳሉ ፡ ወለሮን ፡ ወዘአምሳሉ ፡ ወጕዛ ፡ ወዘአምሳሉ ፤
the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,
11:17
וְאֶת־הַכּ֥וֹס וְאֶת־הַשָּׁלָ֖ךְ וְאֶת־הַיַּנְשֽׁוּף׃
καὶ νυκτικόρακα καὶ καταρράκτην καὶ ἶβιν
bubonem, et mergulum, et ibin,
ወጉጓ ፡ ወቀጠራቅጤን ፡ ወኢብን ፤
the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,
11:18
וְאֶת־הַתִּנְשֶׁ֥מֶת וְאֶת־הַקָּאָ֖ת וְאֶת־הָרָחָֽם׃
καὶ πορφυρίωνα καὶ πελεκᾶνα καὶ κύκνον
et cygnum, et onocrotalum, et porphyrionem,
ወጶርፍሪየና ፡ ወአድገ ፡ መረብ ፡ ወቀቀኖን ፤
the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,
11:19
וְאֵת֙ הַחֲסִידָ֔ה הָאֲנָפָ֖ה לְמִינָ֑הּ וְאֶת־הַדּוּכִיפַ֖ת וְאֶת־הָעֲטַלֵּֽף׃
καὶ γλαῦκα καὶ ἐρωδιὸν καὶ χαραδριὸν καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ καὶ ἔποπα καὶ νυκτερίδα
herodionem, et charadrion juxta genus suum, upupam quoque, et vespertilionem.
ወአሮድዮን ፡ ወከራድርዮን ፡ ወዘይመስሎ ፡ ወኤጶጳ ፡ ወፅግነት ።
the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.
11:20
כֹּ֚ל שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף הַהֹלֵ֖ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֑ע שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ πάντα τὰ ἑρπετὰ τῶν πετεινῶν ἃ πορεύεται ἐπὶ τέσσαρα βδελύγματά ἐστιν ὑμῖν
Omne de volucribus quod graditur super quatuor pedes, abominabile erit vobis.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በአርባዕ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
“‘All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.
11:21
אַ֤ךְ אֶת־זֶה֙ תֹּֽאכְל֔וּ מִכֹּל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף הַהֹלֵ֖ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֑ע אֲשֶׁר־[ל֤וֹ] (לא) כְרָעַ֙יִם֙ מִמַּ֣עַל לְרַגְלָ֔יו לְנַתֵּ֥ר בָּהֵ֖ן עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
ἀλλὰ ταῦτα φάγεσθε ἀπὸ τῶν ἑρπετῶν τῶν πετεινῶν ἃ πορεύεται ἐπὶ τέσσαρα ἃ ἔχει σκέλη ἀνώτερον τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ πηδᾶν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Quidquid autem ambulat quidem super quatuor pedes, sed habet longiora retro crura, per quae salit super terram,
አላ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘትበልፁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ እምነ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በአርባዕ ፡ ዘቦ ፡ አገዳ ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ በዘ ፡ ይሠርር ፡ ቦቱ ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ምድር ።
Yet you may eat these: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have long, jointed legs for hopping on the earth.
11:22
אֶת־אֵ֤לֶּה מֵהֶם֙ תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ אֶת־הָֽאַרְבֶּ֣ה לְמִינ֔וֹ וְאֶת־הַסׇּלְעָ֖ם לְמִינֵ֑הוּ וְאֶת־הַחַרְגֹּ֣ל לְמִינֵ֔הוּ וְאֶת־הֶחָגָ֖ב לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃
καὶ ταῦτα φάγεσθε ἀπ’ αὐτῶν τὸν βροῦχον καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ καὶ τὸν ἀττάκην καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ καὶ τὴν ἀκρίδα καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῇ καὶ τὸν ὀφιομάχην καὶ τὰ ὅμοια αὐτῷ
comedere debetis, ut est bruchus in genere suo, et attacus atque ophiomachus, ac locusta, singula juxta genus suum.
ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘትበልዑ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ደገብያ ፡ ወዘአምሳሉ ፡ ወአ[ጣቃ]ን ፡ ወዘአምሳሉ ፡ ወኦፍዮማክን ፡ ወዘአምሳሉ ፡ ወአንበጣ ፡ ወዘአምሳሉ ።
Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper.
11:23
וְכֹל֙ שֶׁ֣רֶץ הָע֔וֹף אֲשֶׁר־ל֖וֹ אַרְבַּ֣ע רַגְלָ֑יִם שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃
πᾶν ἑρπετὸν ἀπὸ τῶν πετεινῶν οἷς ἐστιν τέσσαρες πόδες βδέλυγμά ἐστιν ὑμῖν
Quidquid autem ex volucribus quatuor tantum habet pedes, execrabile erit vobis :
ወእምነ ፡ ዘይሠርር ፡ ዘአርባዕቱ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ ርኵስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
But all winged creeping things which have four feet are an abomination to you.
11:24
וּלְאֵ֖לֶּה תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ כׇּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃
καὶ ἐν τούτοις μιανθήσεσθε πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
et quicumque morticina eorum tetigerit, polluetur, et erit immundus usque ad vesperum :
ወቦሙ ፡ ትረኵሱ ፤
“‘By these you will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
11:25
וְכׇל־הַנֹּשֵׂ֖א מִנִּבְלָתָ֑ם יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃
καὶ πᾶς ὁ αἴρων τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
et si necesse fuerit ut portet quippiam horum mortuum, lavabit vestimenta sua, et immundus erit usque ad occasum solis.
ኵሉ ፡ ዘገሰሰ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
11:26
לְֽכׇל־הַבְּהֵמָ֡ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִוא֩ מַפְרֶ֨סֶת פַּרְסָ֜ה וְשֶׁ֣סַע׀ אֵינֶ֣נָּה שֹׁסַ֗עַת וְגֵרָה֙ אֵינֶ֣נָּה מַעֲלָ֔ה טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶ֑ם כׇּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בָּהֶ֖ם יִטְמָֽא׃
ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς κτήνεσιν ὅ ἐστιν διχηλοῦν ὁπλὴν καὶ ὀνυχιστῆρας ὀνυχίζει καὶ μηρυκισμὸν οὐ μαρυκᾶται ἀκάθαρτα ἔσονται ὑμῖν πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
Omne animal quod habet quidem ungulam, sed non dividit eam, nec ruminat, immundum erit : et qui tetigerit illud, contaminabitur.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘአልዐለ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ የኀፅብ ፡ አልባሲሁ ፡ ወርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
“‘Every animal which has a split hoof that isn’t completely divided, or doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you. Everyone who touches them shall be unclean.
11:27
וְכֹ֣ל׀ הוֹלֵ֣ךְ עַל־כַּפָּ֗יו בְּכׇל־הַֽחַיָּה֙ הַהֹלֶ֣כֶת עַל־אַרְבַּ֔ע טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖ם לָכֶ֑ם כׇּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃
καὶ πᾶς ὃς πορεύεται ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς θηρίοις ἃ πορεύεται ἐπὶ τέσσαρα ἀκάθαρτα ἔσται ὑμῖν πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
Quod ambulat super manus ex cunctis animantibus, quae incedunt quadrupedia, immundum erit : qui tetigerit morticina eorum, polluetur usque ad vesperum.
ወእምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘንፉቅ ፡ ሰኰናሁ ፡ ወሥጡቅ ፡ ጽፈሪሁ ፡ ወኢይትመሠኳዕ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገሰሰ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ።
Whatever goes on its paws, among all animals that go on all fours, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
11:28
וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙ אֶת־נִבְלָתָ֔ם יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֣א עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב טְמֵאִ֥ים הֵ֖מָּה לָכֶֽם׃ {ס}
καὶ ὁ αἴρων τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας ἀκάθαρτα ταῦτα ὑμῖν ἐστιν
Et qui portaverit hujuscemodi cadavera, lavabit vestimenta sua, et immundus erit usque ad vesperum : quia omnia haec immunda sunt vobis.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በእደዊሁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አራዊት ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በአርባዕቱ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገሰሰ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.
11:29
וְזֶ֤ה לָכֶם֙ הַטָּמֵ֔א בַּשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ הַחֹ֥לֶד וְהָעַכְבָּ֖ר וְהַצָּ֥ב לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃
καὶ ταῦτα ὑμῖν ἀκάθαρτα ἀπὸ τῶν ἑρπετῶν τῶν ἑρπόντων ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἡ γαλῆ καὶ ὁ μῦς καὶ ὁ κροκόδειλος ὁ χερσαῖος
Haec quoque inter polluta reputabuntur de his quae moventur in terra, mustela et mus et crocodilus, singula juxta genus suum,
ወዘጾረ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ የኀፅብ ፡ አልባሲሲሁ ፡ ወርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ፡ ወዝንቱ ፡ ዘርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
“‘These are they which are unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard,
11:30
וְהָאֲנָקָ֥ה וְהַכֹּ֖חַ וְהַלְּטָאָ֑ה וְהַחֹ֖מֶט וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת׃
μυγαλῆ καὶ χαμαιλέων καὶ καλαβώτης καὶ σαύρα καὶ ἀσπάλαξ
mygale, et chamaeleon, et stellio, et lacerta, et talpa.
ወእምነ ፡ ዘሕያውኒ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘርኩስ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ አንጸዋ ፡ ወጽቍጽቌን ፡ ወኀገጽ ፡ ወላጽቄት ፡ ወኀንጶን ፡ ወዐንጉግ ፡ ወጋሌ ፡ ወከሜሌዎን ፡ ወሰጳለክስ ።
the gecko, and the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink, and the chameleon.
11:31
אֵ֛לֶּה הַטְּמֵאִ֥ים לָכֶ֖ם בְּכׇל־הַשָּׁ֑רֶץ כׇּל־הַנֹּגֵ֧עַ בָּהֶ֛ם בְּמֹתָ֖ם יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃
ταῦτα ἀκάθαρτα ὑμῖν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἑρπετῶν τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος αὐτῶν τεθνηκότων ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
Omnia haec immunda sunt. Qui tetigerit morticina eorum, immundus erit usque ad vesperum :
ዝንቱ ፡ ዘርኩስ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ዘሕያው ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገሰሰ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening.
11:32
וְכֹ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־יִפֹּל־עָלָיו֩ מֵהֶ֨ם׀בְּמֹתָ֜ם יִטְמָ֗א מִכׇּל־כְּלִי־עֵץ֙ א֣וֹ בֶ֤גֶד אוֹ־עוֹר֙ א֣וֹ שָׂ֔ק כׇּל־כְּלִ֕י אֲשֶׁר־יֵעָשֶׂ֥ה מְלָאכָ֖ה בָּהֶ֑ם בַּמַּ֧יִם יוּבָ֛א וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעֶ֖רֶב וְטָהֵֽר׃
καὶ πᾶν ἐφ’ ὃ ἂν ἐπιπέσῃ ἀπ’ αὐτῶν τεθνηκότων αὐτῶν ἀκάθαρτον ἔσται ἀπὸ παντὸς σκεύους ξυλίνου ἢ ἱματίου ἢ δέρματος ἢ σάκκου πᾶν σκεῦος ὃ ἐὰν ποιηθῇ ἔργον ἐν αὐτῷ εἰς ὕδωρ βαφήσεται καὶ ἀκάθαρτον ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ καθαρὸν ἔσται
et super quod ceciderit quidquam de morticinis eorum, polluetur, tam vas ligneum et vestimentum, quam pelles et cilicia : et in quocumque fit opus, tingentur aqua, et polluta erunt usque ad vesperum, et sic postea mundabuntur.
ወኵሉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዘወድቀ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ አው ፡ ልብስ ፡ አው ፡ ማእስ ፡ አው ፡ ኀስል ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ ዘይገብሩ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ይጠምዕዎ ፡ ወርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ውእቱ ።
Anything they fall on when they are dead shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or clothing, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening. Then it will be clean.
11:33
וְכׇ֨ל־כְּלִי־חֶ֔רֶשׂ אֲשֶׁר־יִפֹּ֥ל מֵהֶ֖ם אֶל־תּוֹכ֑וֹ כֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁ֧ר בְּתוֹכ֛וֹ יִטְמָ֖א וְאֹת֥וֹ תִשְׁבֹּֽרוּ׃
καὶ πᾶν σκεῦος ὀστράκινον εἰς ὃ ἐὰν πέσῃ ἀπὸ τούτων ἔνδον ὅσα ἐὰν ἔνδον ᾖ ἀκάθαρτα ἔσται καὶ αὐτὸ συντριβήσεται
Vas autem fictile, in quod horum quidquam intro cecidit, polluetur, et idcirco frangendum est.
ወኵሉ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ልሕኵት ፡ ዘወድቀ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ከርሡ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ውስጡ ፡ ወድቀ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይሰብርዎ ።
Every earthen vessel into which any of them falls and all that is in it shall be unclean. You shall break it.
11:34
מִכׇּל־הָאֹ֜כֶל אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵאָכֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָב֥וֹא עָלָ֛יו מַ֖יִם יִטְמָ֑א וְכׇל־מַשְׁקֶה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִשָּׁתֶ֔ה בְּכׇל־כְּלִ֖י יִטְמָֽא׃
καὶ πᾶν βρῶμα ὃ ἔσθεται εἰς ὃ ἐὰν ἐπέλθῃ ἐπ’ αὐτὸ ὕδωρ ἀκάθαρτον ἔσται καὶ πᾶν ποτόν ὃ πίνεται ἐν παντὶ ἀγγείῳ ἀκάθαρτον ἔσται
Omnis cibus, quem comedetis, si fusa fuerit super eum aqua, immundus erit : et omne liquens quod bibitur de universo vase, immundum erit.
ወኵሉ ፡ በዘ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ እክለ ፡ ወእመኒ ፡ ተወድየ ፡ ውስቴቱ ፡ ማይ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወእመኒ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ስቴ ፡ በዘ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ትሰትዩ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱኒ ።
All food which may be eaten which is soaked in water shall be unclean. All drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
11:35
וְ֠כֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁר־יִפֹּ֨ל מִנִּבְלָתָ֥ם׀עָלָיו֮ יִטְמָא֒ תַּנּ֧וּר וְכִירַ֛יִם יֻתָּ֖ץ טְמֵאִ֣ים הֵ֑ם וּטְמֵאִ֖ים יִהְי֥וּ לָכֶֽם׃
καὶ πᾶν ὃ ἐὰν πέσῃ ἀπὸ τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἐπ’ αὐτό ἀκάθαρτον ἔσται κλίβανοι καὶ κυθρόποδες καθαιρεθήσονται ἀκάθαρτα ταῦτά ἐστιν καὶ ἀκάθαρτα ταῦτα ὑμῖν ἔσονται
Et quidquid de morticinis hujuscemodi ceciderit super illud, immundum erit : sive clibani, sive chytropodes, destruentur, et immundi erunt.
ወኵሉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዘወድቀ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወእመሰ ፡ እቶን ፡ አው ፡ ምንባረ ፡ መቅጹት ፡ ትነሥትዎ ፡ እስመ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ወርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
Everything whereupon part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces. They are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
11:36
אַ֣ךְ מַעְיָ֥ן וּב֛וֹר מִקְוֵה־מַ֖יִם יִהְיֶ֣ה טָה֑וֹר וְנֹגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖ם יִטְמָֽא׃
πλὴν πηγῶν ὑδάτων καὶ λάκκου καὶ συναγωγῆς ὕδατος ἔσται καθαρόν ὁ δὲ ἁπτόμενος τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται
Fontes vero et cisternae, et omnis aquarum congregatio munda erit. Qui morticinum eorum tetigerit, polluetur.
ዘእንበለ ፡ አንቅዕተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወዐዘቃት ፡ ወአዕያጋተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘንጹሕ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወዘገሰሰ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ።
Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is gathered shall be clean, but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.
11:37
וְכִ֤י יִפֹּל֙ מִנִּבְלָתָ֔ם עַל־כׇּל־זֶ֥רַע זֵר֖וּעַ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִזָּרֵ֑עַ טָה֖וֹר הֽוּא׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἐπιπέσῃ τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἐπὶ πᾶν σπέρμα σπόριμον ὃ σπαρήσεται καθαρὸν ἔσται
Si ceciderit super sementem, non polluet eam.
ወእመሰ ፡ ወድቀ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘርእ ፡ ዘይዘራእ ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ውእቱ ።
If part of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
11:38
וְכִ֤י יֻתַּן־מַ֙יִם֙ עַל־זֶ֔רַע וְנָפַ֥ל מִנִּבְלָתָ֖ם עָלָ֑יו טָמֵ֥א ה֖וּא לָכֶֽם׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ ἐπιχυθῇ ὕδωρ ἐπὶ πᾶν σπέρμα καὶ ἐπιπέσῃ τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἐπ’ αὐτό ἀκάθαρτόν ἐστιν ὑμῖν
Si autem quispiam aqua sementem perfuderit, et postea morticinis tacta fuerit, illico polluetur.
ወእመ ፡ ባሕቱ ፡ ተክዕወ ፡ ማይ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘርእ ፡ [ወ]ወድቀ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
But if water is put on the seed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.
11:39
וְכִ֤י יָמוּת֙ מִן־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־הִ֥יא לָכֶ֖ם לְאׇכְלָ֑ה הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בְּנִבְלָתָ֖הּ יִטְמָ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἀποθάνῃ τῶν κτηνῶν ὅ ἐστιν ὑμῖν τοῦτο φαγεῖν ὁ ἁπτόμενος τῶν θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
Si mortuum fuerit animal, quod licet vobis comedere, qui cadaver ejus tetigerit, immundus erit usque ad vesperum :
ወእመቦ ፡ ዘሞተ ፡ እምእንስሳ ፡ ዘይከውነክሙ ፡ ለበሊዕ ፡ ዘገሰሰ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
“‘If any animal of which you may eat dies, he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
11:40
וְהָֽאֹכֵל֙ מִנִּבְלָתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֣א עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙ אֶת־נִבְלָתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃
καὶ ὁ ἐσθίων ἀπὸ τῶν θνησιμαίων τούτων πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ ὁ αἴρων ἀπὸ θνησιμαίων αὐτῶν πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ λούσεται ὕδατι καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας
et qui comederit ex eo quippiam, sive portaverit, lavabit vestimenta sua, et immundus erit usque ad vesperum.
ወዘበልዐ ፡ ማውታሁ ፡ የኀፅብ ፡ አልባሲተ ፡ ወርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ፡ ወዘአልዐለ ፡ በድኖሙ ፡ የኀፅብ ፡ አልባሲሁ ፡ ወርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሰርክ ።
He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
11:41
וְכׇל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ שֶׁ֥קֶץ ה֖וּא לֹ֥א יֵאָכֵֽל׃
καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετόν ὃ ἕρπει ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς βδέλυγμα τοῦτο ἔσται ὑμῖν οὐ βρωθήσεται
Omne quod reptat super terram, abominabile erit, nec assumetur in cibum.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ አርዌ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወኢትብልዕዎ ።
“‘Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
11:42
כֹּל֩ הוֹלֵ֨ךְ עַל־גָּח֜וֹן וְכֹ֣ל׀ הוֹלֵ֣ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֗ע עַ֚ד כׇּל־מַרְבֵּ֣ה רַגְלַ֔יִם לְכׇל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֣ץ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹ֥א תֹאכְל֖וּם כִּי־שֶׁ֥קֶץ הֵֽם׃
καὶ πᾶς ὁ πορευόμενος ἐπὶ κοιλίας καὶ πᾶς ὁ πορευόμενος ἐπὶ τέσσαρα διὰ παντός ὃ πολυπληθεῖ ποσὶν ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἑρπετοῖς τοῖς ἕρπουσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς οὐ φάγεσθε αὐτό ὅτι βδέλυγμα ὑμῖν ἐστιν
Quidquid super pectus quadrupes graditur, et multos habet pedes, sive per humum trahitur, non comedetis, quia abominabile est.
ወኵሎ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በከብዱ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ በአርባዕ ፡ ለዝሉፉ ፡ ወዘብዘኅ ፡ እገሪሁ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ አርዌ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኢትብልዕዎ ፡ እስመ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለክሙ ።
Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
11:43
אַל־תְּשַׁקְּצוּ֙ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכׇל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הַשֹּׁרֵ֑ץ וְלֹ֤א תִֽטַּמְּאוּ֙ בָּהֶ֔ם וְנִטְמֵתֶ֖ם בָּֽם׃
καὶ οὐ μὴ βδελύξητε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἑρπετοῖς τοῖς ἕρπουσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ οὐ μιανθήσεσθε ἐν τούτοις καὶ οὐκ ἀκάθαρτοι ἔσεσθε ἐν αὐτοῖς
Nolite contaminare animas vestras, nec tangatis quidquam eorum, ne immundi sitis.
ወኢታርኵሱ ፡ ነፍሰክሙ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ አራዊት ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወኢትርኰሱ ፡ በእሉ ፡ ወኢትኩኑ ፡ ርኩሳነ ፡ ቦሙ ።
You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps. You shall not make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled by them.
11:44
כִּ֣י אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָה֮ אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֒ וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם֙ וִהְיִיתֶ֣ם קְדֹשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י קָד֖וֹשׁ אָ֑נִי וְלֹ֤א תְטַמְּאוּ֙ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכׇל־הַשֶּׁ֖רֶץ הָרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν καὶ ἁγιασθήσεσθε καὶ ἅγιοι ἔσεσθε ὅτι ἅγιός εἰμι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν καὶ οὐ μιανεῖτε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἑρπετοῖς τοῖς κινουμένοις ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Ego enim sum Dominus Deus vester : sancti estote, quia ego sanctus sum. Ne polluatis animas vestras in omni reptili quod movetur super terram.
እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔ ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወተቀደሱ ፡ ወቅዱሳነ ፡ ኩኑ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ አነ ፡ ወኢትገምኑ ፡ ነፍሰክሙ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ አራዊት ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
For I am Yahweh your God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth.
11:45
כִּ֣י׀ אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה הַֽמַּעֲלֶ֤ה אֶתְכֶם֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לִהְיֹ֥ת לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִ֑ים וִהְיִיתֶ֣ם קְדֹשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י קָד֖וֹשׁ אָֽנִי׃
ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ ἀναγαγὼν ὑμᾶς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου εἶναι ὑμῶν θεός καὶ ἔσεσθε ἅγιοι ὅτι ἅγιός εἰμι ἐγὼ κύριος
Ego enim sum Dominus, qui eduxi vos de terra Aegypti, ut essem vobis in Deum. Sancti eritis, quia ego sanctus sum.
እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ዘአውፃእኩክሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ከመ ፡ እኩንክሙ ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወትኩኑ ፡ ቅዱሳነ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ አነ ።
For I am Yahweh who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
11:46
זֹ֣את תּוֹרַ֤ת הַבְּהֵמָה֙ וְהָע֔וֹף וְכֹל֙ נֶ֣פֶשׁ הַֽחַיָּ֔ה הָרֹמֶ֖שֶׂת בַּמָּ֑יִם וּלְכׇל־נֶ֖פֶשׁ הַשֹּׁרֶ֥צֶת עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
οὗτος ὁ νόμος περὶ τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ πάσης ψυχῆς τῆς κινουμένης ἐν τῷ ὕδατι καὶ πάσης ψυχῆς ἑρπούσης ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Ista est lex animantium ac volucrum, et omnis animae viventis, quae movetur in aqua, et reptat in terra,
ዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወዘበእንተ ፡ አዕዋፍ ፡ ወዘበእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትትሐወስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፤
“‘This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,
11:47
לְהַבְדִּ֕יל בֵּ֥ין הַטָּמֵ֖א וּבֵ֣ין הַטָּהֹ֑ר וּבֵ֤ין הַֽחַיָּה֙ הַֽנֶּאֱכֶ֔לֶת וּבֵין֙ הַֽחַיָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א תֵאָכֵֽל׃ {פ}
διαστεῖλαι ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ἀκαθάρτων καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ζωογονούντων τὰ ἐσθιόμενα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ζωογονούντων τὰ μὴ ἐσθιόμενα
ut differentias noveritis mundi et immundi, et sciatis quid comedere et quid respuere debeatis.
ዘይፈልጥ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ወታሌብዎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምነ ፡ ሕያው ፡ ዘይበልዑ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ሕያው ፡ ዘኢይበልዑ ።
to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.’”
