4:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἰησοῦς δὲ πλήρης πνεύματος ἁγίου ὑπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου , καὶ ἤγετο ἐν τῷ πνεύματι ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ
Jesus autem plenus Spiritu Sancto regressus est a Jordane : et agebatur a Spiritu in desertum
ወመልአ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ላዕለ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወተመይጠ እምዮርዳኖስ ወወሰዶ መንፈስ ገዳመ ።
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
4:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡμέρας τεσσεράκοντα πειραζόμενος ὑπὸ τοῦ διαβόλου . καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγεν οὐδὲν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις , καὶ συντελεσθεισῶν αὐτῶν ἐπείνασεν .
diebus quadraginta , et tentabatur a diabolo . Et nihil manducavit in diebus illis : et consummatis illis esuriit .
አርብዓ መዐልተ ወአርብዓ ሌሊተ ያሜክሮ ሰይጣን ወኢበልዐ ወኢሰትየ ምንተኒ በውእቶን መዋዕል ወተፈጺሞን እማንቱ መዋዕል ርኅበ ።
for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.
4:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ διάβολος · εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ , εἰπὲ τῷ λίθῳ τούτῳ ἵνα γένηται ἄρτος .
Dixit autem illi diabolus : Si Filius Dei es , dic lapidi huic ut panis fiat .
ወይቤሎ ሰይጣን እመሰ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር አንተ በል ዝንቱ እብን ይኩን ኅብስተ ።
The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀπεκρίθη πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς · γέγραπται ὅτι οὐκ ἐπ’ ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος .
Et respondit ad illum Jesus : Scriptum est : Quia non in solo pane vivit homo , sed in omni verbo Dei .
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ ጽሑፍ ዘይብል «አኮ በኅብስት ክመ ዘየሐዩ ሰብእ አላ በኵሉ ቃል ዘይወፅእ እምአፉሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ።»
Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
4:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀναγαγὼν αὐτὸν ἔδειξεν αὐτῷ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τῆς οἰκουμένης ἐν στιγμῇ χρόνου ·
Et duxit illum diabolus in montem excelsum , et ostendit illi omnia regna orbis terrae in momento temporis ,
ወአዕረጎ ሰይጣን ውስተ ደብር ነዋኅ ወአርአዮ መንግሥታተ ኵሉ ዓለም ከመ ወኢምንትኒ ።
The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
4:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ διάβολος · σοὶ δώσω τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἅπασαν καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν , ὅτι ἐμοὶ παραδέδοται καὶ ᾧ ἐὰν θέλω δίδωμι αὐτήν ·
et ait illi : Tibi dabo potestatem hanc universam , et gloriam illorum : quia mihi tradita sunt , et cui volo do illa .
ወይቤሎ ሰይጣን ዘንተ ኵሎ ምኵናነ ለከ እሁበከ ወዘንተኒ ክብረ እስመ ሊተ ተውህበ ወለዘፈቀድኩ እሁቦ ።
The devil said to him, “I will give you all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I want.
4:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ σὺ οὖν ἐὰν προσκυνήσῃς ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ , ἔσται σοῦ πᾶσα .
Tu ergo si adoraveris coram me , erunt tua omnia .
ወእምከመ ሰገድከ ሊተ አንተ ቅድሜየ ለከ ይኩንከ ኵሉ ።
If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours.”
4:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῷ · γέγραπται · προσκυνήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου καὶ αὐτῷ μόνῳ λατρεύσεις .
Et respondens Jesus , dixit illi : Scriptum est : Dominum Deum tuum adorabis , et illi soli servies .
ወአውሥአ ወይቤሎ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ሑር እምድኅሬየ ሰይጣን ጽሑፍ «ለእግዚአብሔር አምላክከ ትስግድ ወኪያሁ ባሕቲቶ ታምልክ ።»
Jesus answered him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”
4:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἤγαγεν δὲ αὐτὸν εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ καὶ ἔστησεν ἐπὶ τὸ πτερύγιον τοῦ ἱεροῦ , καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ · εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ , βάλε σεαυτὸν ἐντεῦθεν κάτω ·
Et duxit illum in Jerusalem , et statuit eum super pinnam templi , et dixit illi : Si Filius Dei es , mitte te hinc deorsum .
ወወሰዶ ኢየሩሳሌም ወአቀሞ ዲበ ርእሰ ማዕዘንተ ቤተ መቅደስ ወይቤሎ እመሰ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር አንተ ረድ ለሊከ ታሕተ እምዝየ ወተወረው ።
He led him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,
4:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ τοῦ διαφυλάξαι σε ,
Scriptum est enim quod angelis suis mandavit de te , ut conservent te :
እስመ ጽሑፍ «ከመ ለመላእክቲሁ ይኤዝዞሙ በእንቲኣከ ከመ ይዕቀቡከ በኵሉ ፍናዊከ ።
for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;’
4:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ὅτι ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε , μήποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου .
et quia in manibus tollent te , ne forte offendas ad lapidem pedem tuum .
ወበእደዊሆሙ ያነሥኡከ ከመ ኢትትዐቀፍ በእብን እግረከ ።»
and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.’”
4:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι εἴρηται · οὐκ ἐκπειράσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου .
Et respondens Jesus , ait illi : Dictum est : Non tentabis Dominum Deum tuum .
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ ተብህለ «ኢታመክሮ ለእግዚአብሔር አምላክከ ።»
Jesus answering, said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
4:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ συντελέσας πάντα πειρασμὸν ὁ διάβολος ἀπέστη ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἄχρι καιροῦ .
Et consummata omni tentatione , diabolus recessit ab illo , usque ad tempus .
ወፈጺሞ ሰይጣን አመክሮቶ በኵሉ ኀደጎ እስከ ጊዜሁ ።
When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.
4:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὑπέστρεψεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῇ δυνάμει τοῦ πνεύματος εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν · καὶ φήμη ἐξῆλθεν καθ’ ὅλης τῆς περιχώρου περὶ αὐτοῦ .
Et regressus est Jesus in virtute Spiritus in Galilaeam , et fama exiit per universam regionem de illo .
ወተመይጠ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ በኀይለ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ወሖረ ገሊላ ወተሰምዐ ነገሩ በኵሉ በሓውርት ።
Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.
4:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐδίδασκεν ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν , δοξαζόμενος ὑπὸ πάντων .
Et ipse docebat in synagogis eorum , et magnificabatur ab omnibus .
ወይሜህሮሙ በኵሉ ምኵራባቲሆሙ ወያነክሩ ምህሮቶ ወይሴብሕዎ ኵሉ ።
He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
4:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς Ναζαρά , οὗ ἦν ἀνατεθραμμένος , καὶ εἰσῆλθεν κατὰ τὸ εἰωθὸς αὐτῷ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῶν σαββάτων εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν , καὶ ἀνέστη ἀναγνῶναι .
Et venit Nazareth , ubi erat nutritus , et intravit secundum consuetudinem suam die sabbati in synagogam , et surrexit legere .
ወሖረ ናዝሬተ ኀበ ተሐፅነ ወቦአ ምኵራበ በዕለተ ሰንበት በከመ ያለምድ ወተንሥአ ያንብብ ።
He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
4:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπεδόθη αὐτῷ βιβλίον τοῦ προφήτου Ἡσαΐου , καὶ ἀναπτύξας τὸ βιβλίον εὗρεν τόπον οὗ ἦν γεγραμμένον ·
Et traditus est illi liber Isaiae prophetae . Et ut revolvit librum , invenit locum ubi scriptum erat :
ወወሀብዎ መጽሐፈ ኢሳይያስ ነቢይ ወከሢቶ መጽሐፈ ረከበ መካነ ኀበ ጽሑፍ ዘይብል ።
The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
4:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ πνεῦμα κυρίου ἐπ’ ἐμέ , οὗ εἵνεκεν ἔχρισέν με εὐαγγελίσασθαι πτωχοῖς , ἀπέσταλκέν με
Spiritus Domini super me : propter quod unxit me , evangelizare pauperibus misit me , sanare contritos corde ,
«መንፈሰ እግዚአብሔር ላዕሌየ ዘበእንቲአሁ ቀብዐኒ እዜንዎሙ ለነዳያን ፈነወኒ ወእስብክ ሎሙ ግዕዛነ ለፂዉዋን ወአስተፍሥሖሙ ለኅዙናን ወይርአዩ ዕዉራን ወአንግፎሙ ለግፉዓን ወእፍትሖሙ ለሙቁሓን ወእፈውሶሙ ለቍሱላን ።
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,
4:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ κηρύξαι αἰχμαλώτοις ἄφεσιν καὶ τυφλοῖς ἀνάβλεψιν , ἀποστεῖλαι τεθραυσμένους ἐν ἀφέσει , κηρύξαι ἐνιαυτὸν κυρίου δεκτόν .
praedicare captivis remissionem , et caecis visum , dimittere confractos in remissionem , praedicare annum Domini acceptum et diem retributionis .
ወእስብክ ዐመተ እግዚአብሔር ኅሪተ »።
and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
4:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πτύξας τὸ βιβλίον ἀποδοὺς τῷ ὑπηρέτῃ ἐκάθισεν , καὶ πάντων οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ ἦσαν ἀτενίζοντες αὐτῷ .
Et cum plicuisset librum , reddit ministro , et sedit . Et omnium in synagoga oculi erant intendentes in eum .
ወከደነ መጽሐፈ ወመጠዎ ለላእክ ወነበረ ወአንሥኡ አዕይንቲሆሙ ኵሎሙ እለ ሀለዉ ውስተ ምኵራብ ወነጸርዎ ።
He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
4:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἤρξατο δὲ λέγειν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι σήμερον πεπλήρωται ἡ γραφὴ αὕτη ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν ὑμῶν .
Coepit autem dicere ad illos : Quia hodie impleta est haec scriptura in auribus vestris .
ወአኀዘ ይበሎሙ ዮም በጽሐ ቃለ ዝንቱ መጽሐፍ ወተሰልጠ ውስተ እዘኒክሙ ።
He began to tell them, “Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
4:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πάντες ἐμαρτύρουν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐπὶ τοῖς λόγοις τῆς χάριτος τοῖς ἐκπορευομένοις ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ , καὶ ἔλεγον · οὐχὶ υἱός ἐστιν Ἰωσὴφ οὗτος ;
Et omnes testimonium illi dabant : et mirabantur in verbis gratiae , quae procedebant de ore ipsius , et dicebant : Nonne hic est filius Joseph ?
ወእለ ሰምዕዎ ኵሎሙ አንከሩ ሞገሰ ቃሉ ወሣእሣአ አፉሁ ወይቤሉ አኮኑ ዝንቱ ውእቱ ወልደ ዮሴፍ ።
All testified about him and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth; and they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”
4:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς · πάντως ἐρεῖτέ μοι τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην · ἰατρέ , θεράπευσον σεαυτόν · ὅσα ἠκούσαμεν γενόμενα εἰς τὴν Καφαρναοὺμ ποίησον καὶ ὧδε ἐν τῇ πατρίδι σου .
Et ait illis : Utique dicetis mihi hanc similitudinem : Medice cura teipsum : quanta audivimus facta in Capharnaum , fac et hic in patria tua .
ወይቤሎሙ ቦኑ ትብሉኒ ኵልክሙ ዛተ ምሳሌ ዐቃቤ ሥራይ ፈውስ ርእሰከ ኵሎ ዘሰማዕነ ዘገበርከ በቅፍርናሆም ግበር በዝየኒ በሀገርከ ።
He said to them, “Doubtless you will tell me this proverb, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.’”
4:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἶπεν δέ · ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐδεὶς προφήτης δεκτός ἐστιν ἐν τῇ πατρίδι ἑαυτοῦ .
Ait autem : Amen dico vobis , quia nemo propheta acceptus est in patria sua .
ወይቤሎሙ አማን እብለክሙ ኢይከብር ነቢይ በሀገሩ ።
He said, “Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
4:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐπ’ ἀληθείας δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι πολλαὶ χῆραι ἦσαν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Ἡλείου ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ , ὅτε ἐκλείσθη ὁ οὐρανὸς ἐπὶ ἔτη τρία καὶ μῆνας ἕξ , ὡς ἐγένετο λιμὸς μέγας ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ,
In veritate dico vobis , multae viduae erant in diebus Eliae in Israël , quando clausum est caelum annis tribus et mensibus sex , cum facta esset fames magna in omni terra :
አማን እብለክሙ ብዙኃት መበለታት ሀለዋ በውስተ እስራኤል አመ መዋዕለ ኤልያስ ነቢይ አመ ተዐጽወ ሰማይ ሠለስተ ዓመተ ወስድስተ አውራኀ እስከ ኮነ ረኀብ ዐቢይ ውስተ ኵሉ ምድር ።
But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.
4:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πρὸς οὐδεμίαν αὐτῶν ἐπέμφθη Ἡλείας εἰ μὴ εἰς Σάρεπτα τῆς Σιδωνίας πρὸς γυναῖκα χήραν .
et ad nullam illarum missus est Elias , nisi in Sarepta Sidoniae , ad mulierem viduam .
ወኢተፈነወ ኤልያስ ኀበ አሐቲ እምኔሆን ዘእንበለ ኀበ አሐቲ ብእሲት መበለት ዘሰራጵታ ዘሲዶና ።
Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
4:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πολλοὶ λεπροὶ ἦσαν ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ Ἐλισαίου τοῦ προφήτου , καὶ οὐδεὶς αὐτῶν ἐκαθαρίσθη εἰ μὴ Ναιμὰν ὁ Σύρος .
Et multi leprosi erant in Israël sub Eliseo propheta : et nemo eorum mundatus est nisi Naaman Syrus .
ወብዙኃን እለ ለምጽ ሀለዉ በውስተ እስራኤል አመ መዋዕለ ኤልሳዕ ነቢይ ወኢነጽሐ አሐዱሂ እምኔሆሙ ዘእንበለ ንእማን ሶርያዊ ።
There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian.”
4:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπλήσθησαν πάντες θυμοῦ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ ἀκούοντες ταῦτα ,
Et repleti sunt omnes in synagoga ira , haec audientes .
ወተምዑ ኵሎሙ እለ ሀለዉ በምኵራብ ሰሚዖሙ ዘንተ ።
They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue as they heard these things.
4:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀναστάντες ἐξέβαλον αὐτὸν ἔξω τῆς πόλεως , καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν ἕως ὀφρύος τοῦ ὄρους ἐφ’ οὗ ἡ πόλις ᾠκοδόμητο αὐτῶν , ὥστε κατακρημνίσαι αὐτόν ·
Et surrexerunt , et ejecerunt illum extra civitatem : et duxerunt illum usque ad supercilium montis , super quem civitas illorum erat aedificata , ut praecipitarent eum .
ወተንሥኡ ሶቤሃ ወአውፅእዎ አፍኣ እምሀገር ወወሰድዎ ውስተ ሕፅነ ርእሰ ደብር ዘተነድቀት ላዕሌሁ ሀገሮሙ ከመ ያጽድፍዎ ።
They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.
4:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ αὐτὸς δὲ διελθὼν διὰ μέσου αὐτῶν ἐπορεύετο .
Ipse autem transiens per medium illorum , ibat .
ወውእቱሰ ኀለፈ እንተ ማእከሎሙ ወሖረ ።
But he, passing through the middle of them, went his way.
4:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ κατῆλθεν εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ πόλιν τῆς Γαλιλαίας , καὶ ἦν διδάσκων αὐτοὺς ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν ·
Et descendit in Capharnaum civitatem Galilaeae , ibique docebat illos sabbatis .
ወወረደ ቅፍርናሆም ሀገረ ገሊላ ወመሀሮሙ በሰንበት ።
He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,
4:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξεπλήσσοντο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ , ὅτι ἐν ἐξουσίᾳ ἦν ὁ λόγος αὐτοῦ .
Et stupebant in doctrina ejus , quia in potestate erat sermo ipsius .
ወያነክሩ ምህሮቶ እስመ በትእዛዝ ውእቱ ቃሉ ።
and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
4:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ ἦν ἄνθρωπος ἔχων πνεῦμα δαιμονίου ἀκαθάρτου , καὶ ἀνέκραξεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ·
Et in synagoga erat homo habens daemonium immundum , et exclamavit voce magna ,
ወሀሎ ብእሲ በምኵራብ ዘጋኔን እኩይ ላዕሌሁ ወከልሐ በዐቢይ ቃል ።
In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice,
4:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἔα , τί ἡμῖν καὶ σοί , Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ ; ἦλθες ἀπολέσαι ἡμᾶς ; οἶδά σε τίς εἶ , ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ θεοῦ .
dicens : Sine , quid nobis et tibi , Jesu Nazarene ? venisti perdere nos ? scio te quis sis , Sanctus Dei .
ወይቤ ምንት ብየ ምስሌከ ኢየሱስ ናዝራዊ መጻእከኑ ታጥፍአነ አአምረከ መኑ አንተ ኦ ቅዱሱ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
4:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων · φιμώθητι καὶ ἔξελθε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ . καὶ ῥίψαν αὐτὸν τὸ δαιμόνιον εἰς τὸ μέσον ἐξῆλθεν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ μηδὲν βλάψαν αὐτόν .
Et increpavit illum Jesus , dicens : Obmutesce , et exi ab eo . Et cum projecisset illum daemonium in medium , exiit ab illo , nihilque illum nocuit .
ወገሠጾ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ ተፈፀም ወፃእ እምኔሁ ወነፅኆ ጋኔኑ ማእከለ ምኵራብ ወወፅአ እምኔሁ ወኢነከዮ ወኢምንተኒ ።
Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down in the middle of them, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
4:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγένετο θάμβος ἐπὶ πάντας , καὶ συνελάλουν πρὸς ἀλλήλους λέγοντες · τίς ὁ λόγος οὗτος , ὅτι ἐν ἐξουσίᾳ καὶ δυνάμει ἐπιτάσσει τοῖς ἀκαθάρτοις πνεύμασιν , καὶ ἐξέρχονται ;
Et factus est pavor in omnibus , et colloquebantur ad invicem , dicentes : Quod est hoc verbum , quia in potestate et virtute imperat immundis spiritibus , et exeunt ?
ወደንገፁ ኵሎሙ ወተናገሩ በበይናቲሆሙ ወይቤሉ ምንትኑ ዝ ነገር እስመ በትእዛዝ ወበኀይል ይኤዝዞሙ ለአጋንንት እኩያን ወይወፅኡ ።
Amazement came on all and they spoke together, one with another, saying, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
4:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξεπορεύετο ἦχος περὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς πάντα τόπον τῆς περιχώρου .
Et divulgabatur fama de illo in omnem locum regionis .
ወወፅአ ወተሰምዐ ነገሩ በኵሉ በሓውርተ አድያም ።
News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.
4:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἀναστὰς δὲ ἀπὸ τῆς συναγωγῆς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Σίμωνος . πενθερὰ δὲ τοῦ Σίμωνος ἦν συνεχομένη πυρετῷ μεγάλῳ , καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν περὶ αὐτῆς .
Surgens autem Jesus de synagoga , introivit in domum Simonis . Socrus autem Simonis tenebatur magnis febribus : et rogaverunt illum pro ea .
ወወፂኦ እምኵራብ ቦአ ቤተ ስምዖን ወሐማቱ ለስምዖን ተሐምም ዐቢየ ፈፀንተ ወነገርዎ በእንቲኣሃ ።
He rose up from the synagogue and entered into Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him to help her.
4:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπιστὰς ἐπάνω αὐτῆς ἐπετίμησεν τῷ πυρετῷ , καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτήν · παραχρῆμα δὲ ἀναστᾶσα διηκόνει αὐτοῖς .
Et stans super illam imperavit febri : et dimisit illam . Et continuo surgens , ministrabat illis .
ወቆመ ኀቤሃ ወገሠጾ ለፈፀንታ ወኀደጋ ወተንሥአት ሶቤሃ ወተልእክቶሙ ።
He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
4:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ Δύνοντος δὲ τοῦ ἡλίου πάντες ὅσοι εἶχον ἀσθενοῦντας νόσοις ποικίλαις ἤγαγον αὐτοὺς πρὸς αὐτόν · ὁ δὲ ἑνὶ ἑκάστῳ αὐτῶν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπιτιθεὶς ἐθεράπευεν αὐτούς .
Cum autem sol occidisset , omnes qui habebant infirmos variis languoribus , ducebant illos ad eum . At ille singulis manus imponens , curabat eos .
ወሶበ የዐርብ ፀሓይ አምጽኡ ኀቤሁ ኵሎ ድዉያነ ወሕሙማነ እለ ቦሙ ደዌ ዘዘ ዚኣሁ ወለለ አሐዱ እምኔሆሙ አንበረ እዴሁ ዲቤሆሙ ወፈወሶሙ ።
When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
4:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐξήρχοντο δὲ καὶ δαιμόνια ἀπὸ πολλῶν , κραυγάζοντα καὶ λέγοντα ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ . καὶ ἐπιτιμῶν οὐκ εἴα αὐτὰ λαλεῖν , ὅτι ᾔδεισαν τὸν Χριστὸν αὐτὸν εἶναι .
Exibant autem daemonia a multis clamantia , et dicentia : Quia tu es Filius Dei : et increpans non sinebat ea loqui : quia sciebant ipsum esse Christum .
ወብዙኃን አጋንንት ይወፅኡ ወይኬልሑ ወይብልዎ አንተ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር ወይጌሥጾሙ ወኢያበውሖሙ ይንብቡ እስመ የአምርዎ ከመ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ ።
Demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Rebuking them, he didn’t allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
4:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ Γενομένης δὲ ἡμέρας ἐξελθὼν ἐπορεύθη εἰς ἔρημον τόπον , καὶ οἱ ὄχλοι ἐπεζήτουν αὐτόν · καὶ ἦλθον ἕως αὐτοῦ , καὶ κατεῖχον αὐτὸν τοῦ μὴ πορεύεσθαι ἀπ’ αὐτῶν .
Facta autem die egressus ibat in desertum locum , et turbae requirebant eum , et venerunt usque ad ipsum : et detinebant illum ne discederet ab eis .
ወጸቢሖ ወፅአ ወሖረ ውስተ ገዳም ወኀሠሥዎ ሕዝብ ወሖሩ ኀቤሁ ወአኀዝዎ ወአቀምዎ ከመ ኢይኅልፍ እምኔሆሙ ።
When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place and the multitudes looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn’t go away from them.
4:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι καὶ ταῖς ἑτέραις πόλεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαί με δεῖ τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ , ὅτι ἐπὶ τοῦτο ἀπεστάλην .
Quibus ille ait : Quia et aliis civitatibus oportet me evangelizare regnum Dei : quia ideo missus sum .
ወይቤሎሙ ለካልኣትኒ አህጉር ሀለወኒ እዜንዎን በእንተ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር እስመ እንበይነ ዝንቱ ተፈነውኩ ።
But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of God’s Kingdom to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent.”
4:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἦν κηρύσσων εἰς τὰς συναγωγὰς τῆς Γαλιλαίας .
Et erat praedicans in synagogis Galilaeae .
ወይሰብክ በምኵራባተ ገሊላ ።
He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
