10:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς δώδεκα μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς ἐξουσίαν πνευμάτων ἀκαθάρτων , ὥστε ἐκβάλλειν αὐτὰ καὶ θεραπεύειν πᾶσαν νόσον καὶ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν .
Et convocatis duodecim discipulis suis , dedit illis potestatem spirituum immundorum , ut ejicerent eos , et curarent omnem languorem , et omnem infirmitatem .
ወጸውዖሙ ለዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ አርዳኢሁ ወወሀቦሙ ሥልጣነ ዲበ መናፍስት ርኩሳን ከመ ያውፅእዎሙ ወይፈውሱ ኵሎ ድዉያነ ወሕሙማነ ።
He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
10:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ Τῶν δὲ δώδεκα ἀποστόλων τὰ ὀνόματά ἐστιν ταῦτα · πρῶτος Σίμων ὁ λεγόμενος Πέτρος καὶ Ἀνδρέας ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ , καὶ Ἰάκωβος ὁ τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννης ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ,
Duodecim autem Apostolorum nomina sunt haec . Primus , Simon , qui dicitur Petrus : et Andreas frater ejus ,
ወለዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ ሐዋርያት ከመዝ አስማቲሆሙ ቀዳሚ ስምዖን ዘተሰምየ ጴጥሮስ ወእንድርያስ አኁሁ ። ወያዕቆብ ወልደ ዘብዴዎስ ወዮሐንስ እኁሁ ።
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee; John, his brother;
10:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ Φίλιππος καὶ Βαρθολομαῖος , Θωμᾶς καὶ Μαθθαῖος ὁ τελώνης , Ἰάκωβος ὁ τοῦ Ἀλφαίου καὶ Λεββαῖος ,
Jacobus Zebedaei , et Joannes frater ejus , Philippus , et Bartholomaeus , Thomas , et Matthaeus publicanus , Jacobus Alphaei , et Thaddaeus ,
ፊልጶስ ወበርተሎሜዎስ ቶማስ ወማቴዎስ መጸብሓዊ ወያዕቆብ ወልደ እልፍዮስ ወልብድዮስ ዘተሰምየ ታዴዎስ ።
Philip; Bartholomew; Thomas; Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus; Lebbaeus, who was also called Thaddaeus;
10:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ Σίμων ὁ Καναναῖος καὶ Ἰούδας ὁ Ἰσκαριώτης ὁ καὶ παραδοὺς αὐτόν .
Simon Chananaeus , et Judas Iscariotes , qui et tradidit eum .
ወስምዖን ቀነናዊ ወይሁዳ አስቆሮታዊ ዘአግብኦ ።
Simon the Zealot; and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
10:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ Τούτους τοὺς δώδεκα ἀπέστειλεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς παραγγείλας αὐτοῖς λέγων · εἰς ὁδὸν ἐθνῶν μὴ ἀπέλθητε , καὶ εἰς πόλιν Σαμαριτῶν μὴ εἰσέλθητε ·
Hos duodecim misit Jesus , praecipiens eis , dicens : In viam gentium ne abieritis , et in civitates Samaritanorum ne intraveritis :
እሎንተ ዐሠርተ ወክልኤተ ፈነዎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወአዘዞሙ እንዘ ይብል ውስተ ፍኖተ አሕዛብ ኢትሑሩ ወሀገረ ሳምር ኢትባኡ ።
Jesus sent these twelve out and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans.
10:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ πορεύεσθε δὲ μᾶλλον πρὸς τὰ πρόβατα τὰ ἀπολωλότα οἴκου Ἰσραήλ .
sed potius ite ad oves quae perierunt domus Israël .
ወሑሩ ባሕቱ ኀበ አባግዕ ዘተኀጕላ እምቤተ እስራኤል ።
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
10:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ πορευόμενοι δὲ κηρύσσετε λέγοντες ὅτι ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν .
Euntes autem praedicate , dicentes : Quia appropinquavit regnum caelorum .
ወሐዊረክሙ ስብኩ እንዘ ትብሉ ቀርበት መንግሥተ ሰማያት ።
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’
10:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀσθενοῦντας θεραπεύετε , νεκροὺς ἐγείρετε , λεπροὺς καθαρίζετε , δαιμόνια ἐκβάλλετε · δωρεὰν ἐλάβετε , δωρεὰν δότε .
Infirmos curate , mortuos suscitate , leprosos mundate , daemones ejicite : gratis accepistis , gratis date .
ድዉያነ ፈውሱ ሙታነ አንሥኡ እለ ለምጽ አንጽሑ አጋንንተ አውፅኡ በጸጋ ዘነሣእክሙ በጸጋ ሀቡ በከንቱ ዘነሣእክሙ በከንቱ ሀቡ ።
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
10:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ μὴ κτήσησθε χρυσὸν μηδὲ ἄργυρον μηδὲ χαλκὸν εἰς τὰς ζώνας ὑμῶν ,
Nolite possidere aurum , neque argentum , neque pecuniam in zonis vestris :
ኢታጥርዩ ለክሙ ወርቀ ወብሩረ ወኢ ጸሪቀ ውስተ ቅናውቲክሙ ።
Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
10:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ μὴ πήραν εἰς ὁδὸν μηδὲ δύο χιτῶνας μηδὲ ὑποδήματα μηδὲ ῥάβδον · ἄξιος γὰρ ὁ ἐργάτης τῆς τροφῆς αὐτοῦ .
non peram in via , neque duas tunicas , neque calceamenta , neque virgam : dignus enim est operarius cibo suo .
ወኢጽፍነተ ለፍኖት ወኢ ክልኤ ክዳናተ ወኢ አሣእነ ወኢ በትረ እስመ ይደልዎ ዐስቡ ለዘይትቀነይ ።
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor sandals, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
10:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰς ἣν δ’ ἂν πόλιν ἢ κώμην εἰσέλθητε , ἐξετάσατε τίς ἐν αὐτῇ ἄξιός ἐστιν · κἀκεῖ μείνατε ἕως ἂν ἐξέλθητε .
In quamcumque autem civitatem aut castellum intraveritis , interrogate , quis in ea dignus sit : et ibi manete donec exeatis .
ወውስተ ሀገር እንተ ቦእክሙ ወእመኒ አብያት ተሰአሉ ወበሉ ለመኑ ይደልዎ ሰላም በውስቴታ ወህየ ኅድሩ እስከ አመ ትወፅኡ ።
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go on.
10:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰσερχόμενοι δὲ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν ἀσπάσασθε αὐτήν ·
Intrantes autem in domum , salutate eam , dicentes : Pax huic domui .
ወበዊአክሙ ውስተ ቤት ተአምኅዎሙ ፤
As you enter into the household, greet it.
10:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐὰν μὲν ᾖ ἡ οἰκία ἀξία , ἐλθάτω ἡ εἰρήνη ὑμῶν ἐπ’ αὐτήν · ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ ἀξία , ἡ εἰρήνη ὑμῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐπιστραφήτω .
Et siquidem fuerit domus illa digna , veniet pax vestra super eam : si autem non fuerit digna , pax vestra revertetur ad vos .
ወለእመ ይደልዎ ለውእቱ ቤት ይኅድር ሰላምክሙ ላዕሌሁ ወእመሰ ኢይደልዎ ይግባእ ሰላምክሙ ላዕሌክሙ ።
If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it isn’t worthy, let your peace return to you.
10:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ὃς ἂν μὴ δέξηται ὑμᾶς μηδὲ ἀκούσῃ τοὺς λόγους ὑμῶν , ἐξερχόμενοι ἔξω τῆς οἰκίας ἢ τῆς πόλεως ἐκείνης ἐκτινάξατε τὸν κονιορτὸν ἐκ τῶν ποδῶν ὑμῶν .
Et quicumque non receperit vos , neque audierit sermones vestros : exeuntes foras de domo , vel civitate , excutite pulverem de pedibus vestris .
ወለዘሰ ኢተወክፈክሙ ወኢሰምዐክሙ ነገረክሙ ወፂአክሙ አፍኣ እምይእቲ ቤት ወእምይእቲ ሀገር ንግፉ ጸበለ እገሪክሙ ።
Whoever doesn’t receive you or hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.
10:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν , ἀνεκτότερον ἔσται γῇ Σοδόμων καὶ Γομόρρων ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κρίσεως ἢ τῇ πόλει ἐκείνῃ .
Amen dico vobis : Tolerabilius erit terrae Sodomorum et Gomorrhaeorum in die judicii , quam illi civitati .
አማን እብለክሙ ከመ ይረክባ ሣኅተ ምድረ ሰዶም ወገሞራ አመ ዕለተ ደይን ፈድፋደ እምይእቲ ሀገር ።
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
10:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω ὑμᾶς ὡς πρόβατα ἐν μέσῳ λύκων · γίνεσθε οὖν φρόνιμοι ὡς οἱ ὄφεις καὶ ἀκέραιοι ὡς αἱ περιστεραί .
Ecce ego mitto vos sicut oves in medio luporum . Estote ergo prudentes sicut serpentes , et simplices sicut columbae .
ወናሁ አነ እፌንወክሙ ከመ አባግዕ ማእከለ ተኵላት ኩኑ እንከ ጠቢባነ ከመ አርዌ ምድር ወየዋሃነ ከመ ርግብ ።
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
10:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ προσέχετε δὲ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀνθρώπων · παραδώσουσιν γὰρ ὑμᾶς εἰς συνέδρια , καὶ ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν μαστιγώσουσιν ὑμᾶς ·
Cavete autem ab hominibus . Tradent enim vos in conciliis , et in synagogis suis flagellabunt vos :
ወተዐቀቡ እምሰብእ እኩያን እስመ ያገብኡክሙ ውስተ አዕዋዳት ወይቀሥፉክሙ በምኵራባቲሆሙ ።
But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
10:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπὶ ἡγεμόνας δὲ καὶ βασιλεῖς ἀχθήσεσθε ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῖς ἔθνεσιν .
et ad praesides , et ad reges ducemini propter me in testimonium illis , et gentibus .
ወያገብኡክሙ ኀበ መሳንፍት ወነገሥት በእንቲኣየ ከመ ይኩን ስምዐ ላዕሌሆሙ ወላዕለ አሕዛብ ።
Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
10:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅταν δὲ παραδῶσιν ὑμᾶς , μὴ μεριμνήσητε πῶς ἢ τί λαλήσητε · δοθήσεται γὰρ ὑμῖν ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ὥρᾳ τί λαλήσητε ·
Cum autem tradent vos , nolite cogitare quomodo , aut quid loquamini : dabitur enim vobis in illa hora , quid loquamini :
ወሶበ ያገብኡክሙ ኢተኀልዩ ዘትነብቡ ወዘትትናገሩ እስመ ይትወሀበክሙ በይእቲ ሰዓት ዘትትናገሩ ።
But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
10:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐ γὰρ ὑμεῖς ἐστε οἱ λαλοῦντες ἀλλὰ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν τὸ λαλοῦν ἐν ὑμῖν .
non enim vos estis qui loquimini , sed Spiritus Patris vestri , qui loquitur in vobis .
እስመ ኢኮንክሙ አንትሙ ዘትትናገሩ አላ መንፈሱ ለአቡክሙ ሰማያዊ ውእቱ ይትናገር በላዕሌክሙ ።
For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
10:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ παραδώσει δὲ ἀδελφὸς ἀδελφὸν εἰς θάνατον καὶ πατὴρ τέκνον , καὶ ἐπαναστήσονται τέκνα ἐπὶ γονεῖς καὶ θανατώσουσιν αὐτούς .
Tradet autem frater fratrem in mortem , et pater filium : et insurgent filii in parentes , et morte eos afficient :
ወያገብእ እኍ እኅዋሁ ለሞት ወአብኒ ውሉዶ ወይትነሥኡ ውሉድ ላዕለ አዝማዲሆሙ ወይቀትልዎሙ ።
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
10:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔσεσθε μισούμενοι ὑπὸ πάντων διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου · ὁ δὲ ὑπομείνας εἰς τέλος οὗτος σωθήσεται .
et eritis odio omnibus propter nomen meum : qui autem perseveraverit usque in finem , hic salvus erit .
ወትከውኑ ጽሉኣነ በኀበ ኵሉ ሰብእ በእንተ ስምየ ወዘሰ አዝለፈ ትዕግሥቶ ውእቱ ይድኅን ።
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
10:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅταν δὲ διώκωσιν ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ , φεύγετε εἰς τὴν ἑτέραν · ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν , οὐ μὴ τελέσητε τὰς πόλεις τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἕως ἔλθῃ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου .
Cum autem persequentur vos in civitate ista , fugite in aliam . Amen dico vobis , non consummabitis civitates Israël , donec veniat Filius hominis .
ወሶበ ይሰድዱክሙ እምዛቲ ሀገር ጕዩ ውስተ ካልእታ አማን እብለክሙ ኢይትፌጸማ አህጉረ እስራኤል እስከ ሶበ ይመጽእ ወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ።
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come.
10:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ Οὐκ ἔστιν μαθητὴς ὑπὲρ τὸν διδάσκαλον οὐδὲ δοῦλος ὑπὲρ τὸν κύριον αὐτοῦ .
Non est discipulus super magistrum , nec servus super dominum suum :
አልቦ ረድእ ዘየዐቢ እምሊቁ ወኢገብር ዘየዐቢ እምእግዚኡ ።
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
10:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀρκετὸν τῷ μαθητῇ ἵνα γένηται ὡς ὁ διδάσκαλος αὐτοῦ , καὶ ὁ δοῦλος ὡς ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ . εἰ τὸν οἰκοδεσπότην Βεελζεβοὺλ ἐπεκάλεσαν , πόσῳ μᾶλλον τοὺς οἰκιακοὺς αὐτοῦ .
sufficit discipulo ut sit sicut magister ejus , et servo , sicut dominus ejus . Si patremfamilias Beelzebub vocaverunt , quanto magis domesticos ejus ?
መጠኑ ለረድእ እምከመ ኮነ ከመ ሊቁ ወለገብርኒ ከመ እግዚኡ ወለእመ ኮነ ይቤልዎ ለበዓለ ቤት በብዔል ዜቡል ያወፅኦሙ ለአጋንንት እፎ ፈድፋደ ለሰብአ ቤቱ ።
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!
10:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ μὴ οὖν φοβηθῆτε αὐτούς · οὐδὲν γάρ ἐστιν κεκαλυμμένον ὃ οὐκ ἀποκαλυφθήσεται , καὶ κρυπτὸν ὃ οὐ γνωσθήσεται .
Ne ergo timueritis eos . Nihil enim est opertum , quod non revelabitur : et occultum , quod non scietur .
ኢትፍርህዎሙኬ እንከ እስመ አልቦ ክዱን ዘኢይትከሠት ወአልቦ ኅቡእ ዘኢይትዐወቅ ።
Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
10:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὃ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ , εἴπατε ἐν τῷ φωτί · καὶ ὃ εἰς τὸ οὖς ἀκούετε , κηρύξατε ἐπὶ τῶν δωμάτων .
Quod dico vobis in tenebris , dicite in lumine : et quod in aure auditis , praedicate super tecta .
ዘነገርኩክሙ በጽልመት ንግርዎ በብርሃን ወዘኒ አልኈሰስኩ ውስተ እዝንክሙ ስብክዎ በዲበ አንሕስት ።
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
10:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ μὴ φοβεῖσθε ἀπὸ τῶν ἀποκτεννόντων τὸ σῶμα , τὴν δὲ ψυχὴν μὴ δυναμένων ἀποκτεῖναι · φοβεῖσθε δὲ μᾶλλον τὸν δυνάμενον καὶ ψυχὴν καὶ σῶμα ἀπολέσαι ἐν γεέννῃ .
Et nolite timere eos qui occidunt corpus , animam autem non possunt occidere : sed potius timete eum , qui potest et animam et corpus perdere in gehennam .
ኢትፍርህዎሙኬ ለእለ ይቀትሉ ሥጋክሙ ወለነፍስክሙሰ ኢይክሉ ቀቲሎታ ወባሕቱ ፍርህዎ ለዘቦ ሥልጣን ወይክል እምድኅረ ቀተለ ነፍሰ ወሥጋ ኅቡረ አኅጕሎ በውስተ ገሃነም ።
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
10:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐχὶ δύο στρουθία ἀσσαρίου πωλεῖται ; καὶ ἓν ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐ πεσεῖται ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἄνευ τοῦ πατρὸς ὑμῶν .
Nonne duo passeres asse veneunt ? et unus ex illis non cadet super terram sine Patre vestro .
አኮኑ ክልኤቲ አዕዋፍ ይሠየጣ በክልኤ ጸሪቀ አሶርዮን ወአሐቲ እምኔሆን ኢትወድቅ ውስተ ምድር ዘእንበለ ያእምር አቡክሙ ሰማያዊ ።
“Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
10:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὑμῶν δὲ καὶ αἱ τρίχες τῆς κεφαλῆς πᾶσαι ἠριθμημέναι εἰσίν .
Vestri autem capilli capitis omnes numerati sunt .
ወለክሙሰ ሥዕርተ ርእስክሙኒ ኵሉ ኍሉቍ ውእቱ ።
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
10:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ μὴ οὖν φοβεῖσθε · πολλῶν στρουθίων διαφέρετε ὑμεῖς .
Nolite ergo timere : multis passeribus meliores estis vos .
ኢትፍርሁኬ እስመ እምብዙኅ አዕዋፍ ትኄይሱ አንትሙ ።
Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
10:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ Πᾶς οὖν ὅστις ὁμολογήσει ἐν ἐμοὶ ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθρώπων , ὁμολογήσω κἀγὼ ἐν αὐτῷ ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ πατρός μου τοῦ ἐν οὐρανοῖς ·
Omnis ergo qui confitebitur me coram hominibus , confitebor et ego eum coram Patre meo , qui in caelis est .
ኵሉ እንከ ዘየአምን ብየ በቅድመ ሰብእ አነሂ አአምኖ በቅድመ አቡየ ዘበሰማያት ።
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.
10:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅστις δ’ ἂν ἀρνήσηταί με ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθρώπων , ἀρνήσομαι κἀγὼ αὐτὸν ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ πατρός μου τοῦ ἐν οὐρανοῖς .
Qui autem negaverit me coram hominibus , negabo et ego eum coram Patre meo , qui in caelis est .
ወለዘሰ ክሕደኒ በቅድመ ሰብእ አነሂ እክሕዶ በቅድመ አቡየ ዘበሰማያት ።
But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.
10:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ Μὴ νομίσητε ὅτι ἦλθον βαλεῖν εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν · οὐκ ἦλθον βαλεῖν εἰρήνην ἀλλὰ μάχαιραν .
Nolite arbitrari quia pacem venerim mittere in terram : non veni pacem mittere , sed gladium :
ኢይምሰልክሙ ዘአምጻእኩ ሰላመ ለምድር አላ መጥባሕተ ።
“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
10:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἦλθον γὰρ διχάσαι ἄνθρωπον κατὰ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ θυγατέρα κατὰ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ νύμφην κατὰ τῆς πενθερᾶς αὐτῆς ,
veni enim separare hominem adversus patrem suum , et filiam adversus matrem suam , et nurum adversus socrum suam :
ወመጻእኩሰ እፍልጥ ብእሴ እምአቡሁ ወወለተኒ እምእማ ወመርዓተኒ እምሐማታ ።
For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
10:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐχθροὶ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οἱ οἰκιακοὶ αὐτοῦ .
et inimici hominis , domestici ejus .
ወሰብአ ቤቱ ይፃረሮ ለሰብእ ። ዘያፈቅር አባሁ ወእሞ እምኔየ ኢይደሉ ሊተ ወኢይክል ይፀመደኒ ።
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
10:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ὁ φιλῶν πατέρα ἢ μητέρα ὑπὲρ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἔστιν μου ἄξιος , καὶ ὁ φιλῶν υἱὸν ἢ θυγατέρα ὑπὲρ ἐμὲ οὐκ ἔστιν μου ἄξιος ,
Qui amat patrem aut matrem plus quam me , non est me dignus : et qui amat filium aut filiam super me , non est me dignus .
ወዘያፈቅር ወልዶ ወወለቶ እምኔየ ኢይደሉ ሊተ ወኢይክል ይፀመደኒ ።
He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me.
10:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ὃς οὐ λαμβάνει τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀκολουθεῖ ὀπίσω μου , οὐκ ἔστιν μου ἄξιος .
Et qui non accipit crucem suam , et sequitur me , non est me dignus .
ዘኢያጥብዐ ወዘኢነሥአ መስቀለ ሞቱ ወዘኢተለወኒ ድኅሬየ ኢይደሉ ሊተ ወኢይክል ይፀመደኒ ።
He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
10:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ εὑρὼν τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἀπολέσει αὐτήν , καὶ ὁ ἀπολέσας τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ εὑρήσει αὐτήν .
Qui invenit animam suam , perdet illam : et qui perdiderit animam suam propter me , inveniet eam .
ዘረከባ ለነፍሱ ለይግድፋ ወዘሰ ገደፋ ለነፍሱ በእንቲኣየ ይረክባ ።
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
10:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ὁ δεχόμενος ὑμᾶς ἐμὲ δέχεται , καὶ ὁ ἐμὲ δεχόμενος δέχεται τὸν ἀποστείλαντά με .
Qui recipit vos , me recipit : et qui me recipit , recipit eum qui me misit .
ዘኪያክሙ ተወክፈ ኪያየ ተወክፈ ወዘኪያየ ተወክፈ ተወክፎ ለዘፈነወኒ ።
“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
10:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δεχόμενος προφήτην εἰς ὄνομα προφήτου μισθὸν προφήτου λήμψεται , καὶ ὁ δεχόμενος δίκαιον εἰς ὄνομα δικαίου μισθὸν δικαίου λήμψεται .
Qui recipit prophetam in nomine prophetae , mercedem prophetae accipiet : et qui recipit justum in nomine justi , mercedem justi accipiet .
ዘተወክፈ ነቢየ በስመ ነቢይ ዐስበ ነቢይ ይነሥእ ወዘተወክፈ ጻድቀ በስመ ጻድቅ ዐስበ ጻድቅ ይነሥእ ።
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
10:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ὃς ἐὰν ποτίσῃ ἕνα τῶν μικρῶν τούτων ποτήριον ψυχροῦ μόνον εἰς ὄνομα μαθητοῦ , ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν , οὐ μὴ ἀπολέσῃ τὸν μισθὸν αὐτοῦ .
Et quicumque potum dederit uni ex minimis istis calicem aquae frigidae tantum in nomine discipuli : amen dico vobis , non perdet mercedem suam .
ወዘአስተየ ለአሐዱ እምእሉ ንኡሳን ጽዋዐ ማይ ቈሪር ባሕቲቶ በስመ ረድእየ አማን እብለክሙ ኢየኀጕል ዐስቦ ።
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.”
