8:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen , dicens :
ወነበቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
8:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ דַּבֵּר֙ אֶֽל ־אַהֲרֹ֔ן וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֵלָ֑יו בְּהַעֲלֹֽתְךָ֙ אֶת ־הַנֵּרֹ֔ת אֶל ־מוּל֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה יָאִ֖ירוּ שִׁבְעַ֥ת הַנֵּרֽוֹת ׃
λάλησον τῷ Ααρων καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτόν ὅταν ἐπιτιθῇς τοὺς λύχνους ἐκ μέρους κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς λυχνίας φωτιοῦσιν οἱ ἑπτὰ λύχνοι
Loquere Aaron , et dices ad eum : Cum posueris septem lucernas , candelabrum in australi parte erigatur . Hoc igitur praecipe ut lucernae contra boream e regione respiciant ad mensam panum propositionis , contra eam partem , quam candelabrum respicit , lucere debebunt .
ንግሮ ፡ ለአሮን ፡ ወበሎ ፡ እምነ ፡ መንገለ ፡ ገቦሃ ፡ ዘገ [ጻ ] ፡ አንብር ፡ መኃትዊሃ ፡ ለመራናት ፡ ወአኅትዎን ፡ ሰብዑሆን ፡ መኃትዊሃ ።
“Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand.’”
8:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֤עַשׂ כֵּן֙ אַהֲרֹ֔ן אֶל ־מוּל֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה הֶעֱלָ֖ה נֵרֹתֶ֑יהָ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶֽׁה ׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν οὕτως Ααρων ἐκ τοῦ ἑνὸς μέρους κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς λυχνίας ἐξῆψεν τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ
Fecitque Aaron , et imposuit lucernas super candelabrum , ut praeceperat Dominus Moysi .
ወገብረ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ አሮን ፡ እምአሐዱ ፡ ገቦሃ ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ ገ [ጻ ] ፡ ለመራናት ፡ አሕተወ ፡ መኃትዊሃ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ።
Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lamp stand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
8:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְזֶ֨ה מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה הַמְּנֹרָה֙ מִקְשָׁ֣ה זָהָ֔ב עַד ־יְרֵכָ֥הּ עַד ־פִּרְחָ֖הּ מִקְשָׁ֣ה הִ֑וא כַּמַּרְאֶ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶרְאָ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת ־מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֵּ֥ן עָשָׂ֖ה אֶת ־הַמְּנֹרָֽה ׃ {פ}
καὶ αὕτη ἡ κατασκευὴ τῆς λυχνίας στερεὰ χρυσῆ ὁ καυλὸς αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ κρίνα αὐτῆς στερεὰ ὅλη κατὰ τὸ εἶδος ὃ ἔδειξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ οὕτως ἐποίησεν τὴν λυχνίαν
Haec autem erat factura candelabri , ex auro ductili , tam medius stipes , quam cuncta quae ex utroque calamorum latere nascebantur : juxta exemplum quod ostendit Dominus Moysi , ita operatus est candelabrum .
ወከመዝ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ግብረታ ፡ ለመራናት ፡ ወአዕጹቂሃኒ ፡ ጽኑዓን ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ኵለንታሆሙ ፡ ወ [ጽጌ ] ያቲሃኒ ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ ኵለንታሁ ፡ በከመ ፡ አርአያ ፡ ዘአርአዮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብራ ፡ ለመራናት ።
This was the workmanship of the lamp stand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work. He made the lamp stand according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses.
8:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
Et locutus est Dominus ad Moysen , dicens :
ወነበቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
8:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ קַ֚ח אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם מִתּ֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְטִהַרְתָּ֖ אֹתָֽם ׃
λαβὲ τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀφαγνιεῖς αὐτούς
Tolle Levitas de medio filiorum Israël , et purificabis eos
ንሥኦሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ እምነ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወአንጽሖሙ ።
“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
8:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכֹֽה ־תַעֲשֶׂ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לְטַֽהֲרָ֔ם הַזֵּ֥ה עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מֵ֣י חַטָּ֑את וְהֶעֱבִ֤ירוּ תַ֙עַר֙ עַל ־כׇּל ־בְּשָׂרָ֔ם וְכִבְּס֥וּ בִגְדֵיהֶ֖ם וְהִטֶּהָֽרוּ ׃
καὶ οὕτως ποιήσεις αὐτοῖς τὸν ἁγνισμὸν αὐτῶν περιρρανεῖς αὐτοὺς ὕδωρ ἁγνισμοῦ καὶ ἐπελεύσεται ξυρὸν ἐπὶ πᾶν τὸ σῶμα αὐτῶν καὶ πλυνοῦσιν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν καὶ καθαροὶ ἔσονται
juxta hunc ritum : aspergantur aqua lustrationis , et radant omnes pilos carnis suae . Cumque laverint vestimenta sua , et mundati fuerint ,
ወከመዝ ፡ ትገብር ፡ ከመ ፡ ታንጽሖሙ ፡ ትነዝኆሙ ፡ ማየ ፡ አንጽሖ ፡ ወይላጽዩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወይሕፅቡ ፡ አልባሲሆሙ ፡ ወንጹሓነ ፡ ይከውኑ ።
You shall do this to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.
8:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלָֽקְחוּ֙ פַּ֣ר בֶּן ־בָּקָ֔ר וּמִ֨נְחָת֔וֹ סֹ֖לֶת בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן וּפַר ־שֵׁנִ֥י בֶן ־בָּקָ֖ר תִּקַּ֥ח לְחַטָּֽאת ׃
καὶ λήμψονται μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν καὶ τούτου θυσίαν σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένην ἐν ἐλαίῳ καὶ μόσχον ἐνιαύσιον ἐκ βοῶν λήμψῃ περὶ ἁμαρτίας
tollent bovem de armentis , et libamentum ejus similam oleo conspersam : bovem autem alterum de armento tu accipies pro peccato :
ወይንሥኡ ፡ ላህመ ፡ አሐደ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ወሎቱኒ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ስንዳሌ ፡ ዘግበር ፡ በቅብእ ፡ ወላህም ፡ ዘዓመት ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ይንሥኡ ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ ኀጢአት ።
Then let them take a young bull and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.
8:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֙ אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לִפְנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְהִ֨קְהַלְתָּ֔ אֶֽת ־כׇּל ־עֲדַ֖ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ προσάξεις τοὺς Λευίτας ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ συνάξεις πᾶσαν συναγωγὴν υἱῶν Ισραηλ
et applicabis Levitas coram tabernaculo foederis , convocata omni multitudine filiorum Israël .
ወታመጽኦሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወታስተጋብእ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተዓይኒሆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.
8:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֥ אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֖ם לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְסָמְכ֧וּ בְנֵי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶת ־יְדֵיהֶ֖ם עַל ־הַלְוִיִּֽם ׃
καὶ προσάξεις τοὺς Λευίτας ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τοὺς Λευίτας
Cumque Levitae fuerint coram Domino , ponent filii Israël manus suas super eos .
ወታመጽኦሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይወድዩ ፡ እደዊሆሙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሌዋውያን ።
You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,
8:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהֵנִיף֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֤ם תְּנוּפָה֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה מֵאֵ֖ת בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְהָי֕וּ לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת ־עֲבֹדַ֥ת יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ἀφοριεῖ Ααρων τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπόδομα ἔναντι κυρίου παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ἔσονται ὥστε ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα κυρίου
Et offeret Aaron Levitas , munus in conspectu Domini a filiis Israël , ut serviant in ministerio ejus .
ወይፈልጦሙ ፡ አሮን ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይከውኑ ፡ ለግብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እለ ፡ ይገብሩ ።
and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.
8:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַלְוִיִּם֙ יִסְמְכ֣וּ אֶת ־יְדֵיהֶ֔ם עַ֖ל רֹ֣אשׁ הַפָּרִ֑ים וַ֠עֲשֵׂ֠ה אֶת ־הָאֶחָ֨ד חַטָּ֜את וְאֶת ־הָאֶחָ֤ד עֹלָה֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה לְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל ־הַלְוִיִּֽם ׃
οἱ δὲ Λευῖται ἐπιθήσουσιν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς τῶν μόσχων καὶ ποιήσει τὸν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ τὸν ἕνα εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα κυρίῳ ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ αὐτῶν
Levitae quoque ponent manus suas super capita boum , e quibus unum facies pro peccato , et alterum in holocaustum Domini , ut depreceris pro eis .
ወሌዋውያን ፡ ይወድዩ ፡ እደዊሆሙ ፡ ዲበ ፡ አርእስተ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ወይገብር ፡ አሐደ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኀጢአት ፡ ወአሐደ ፡ ለመሥዋዕተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወያስተሰሪ ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ ።
“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
8:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֙ אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לִפְנֵ֥י אַהֲרֹ֖ן וְלִפְנֵ֣י בָנָ֑יו וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֛ם תְּנוּפָ֖ה לַֽיהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ στήσεις τοὺς Λευίτας ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἔναντι Ααρων καὶ ἔναντι τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀποδώσεις αὐτοὺς ἀπόδομα ἔναντι κυρίου
Statuesque Levitas in conspectu Aaron et filiorum ejus , et consecrabis oblatos Domino ,
ወታቀውሞሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወቅድመ ፡ አሮን ፡ ወቅድመ ፡ ደቂቁ ፡ ወታገብኦሙ ፡ ሀብቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
You shall set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.
8:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִבְדַּלְתָּ֙ אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם מִתּ֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְהָ֥יוּ לִ֖י הַלְוִיִּֽם ׃
καὶ διαστελεῖς τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ἔσονται ἐμοί
ac separabis de medio filiorum Israël , ut sint mei .
ወትፈልጦሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ እምነ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይከውኑ ፡ ሊተ ።
Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
8:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַֽחֲרֵי ־כֵן֙ יָבֹ֣אוּ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת ־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְטִֽהַרְתָּ֣ אֹתָ֔ם וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם תְּנוּפָֽה ׃
καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσονται οἱ Λευῖται ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ καθαριεῖς αὐτοὺς καὶ ἀποδώσεις αὐτοὺς ἔναντι κυρίου
Et postea ingredientur tabernaculum foederis , ut serviant mihi . Sicque purificabis et consecrabis eos in oblationem Domini : quoniam dono donati sunt mihi a filiis Israël .
ወእምድኅረ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይበውኡ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ይግበሩ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወታነጽሖሙ ፡ ወታገብኦሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
“After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting. You shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.
8:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי֩ נְתֻנִ֨ים נְתֻנִ֥ים הֵ֙מָּה֙ לִ֔י מִתּ֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל תַּ֩חַת֩ פִּטְרַ֨ת כׇּל ־רֶ֜חֶם בְּכ֥וֹר כֹּל֙ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לָקַ֥חְתִּי אֹתָ֖ם לִֽי ׃
ὅτι ἀπόδομα ἀποδεδομένοι οὗτοί μοί εἰσιν ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἀντὶ τῶν διανοιγόντων πᾶσαν μήτραν πρωτοτόκων πάντων ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ εἴληφα αὐτοὺς ἐμοί
Pro primogenitis quae aperiunt omnem vulvam in Israël , accepi eos .
እስመ ፡ ሀብተ ፡ ገብኡ ፡ ሊተ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ እምነ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይፈትሕ ፡ ማኅፀነ ፡ ዘእምኵሉ ፡ በኵሮሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ነሣእክዎሙ ፡ ሊተ ።
For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.
8:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י לִ֤י כׇל ־בְּכוֹר֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה בְּי֗וֹם הַכֹּתִ֤י כׇל ־בְּכוֹר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם הִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי אֹתָ֖ם לִֽי ׃
ὅτι ἐμοὶ πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐπάταξα πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἡγίασα αὐτοὺς ἐμοὶ
Mea sunt enim omnia primogenita filiorum Israël , tam ex hominibus quam ex jumentis . Ex die quo percussi omne primogenitum in terra Aegypti , sanctificavi eos mihi :
እስመ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በኵር ፡ ዘእምደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምነ ፡ ሰብኡ ፡ እስከ ፡ እንስሳሁ ፤
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself.
8:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶקַּ֖ח אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֑ם תַּ֥חַת כׇּל ־בְּכ֖וֹר בִּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἔλαβον τοὺς Λευίτας ἀντὶ παντὸς πρωτοτόκου ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ
et tuli Levitas pro cunctis primogenitis filiorum Israël ,
በዕለት ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ቀተልክዎሙ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ በኵር ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ዘቀደስክዎሙ ፡ ሊተ ።
I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
8:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶתְּנָ֨ה אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֜ם נְתֻנִ֣ים ׀ לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן וּלְבָנָ֗יו מִתּוֹךְ֮ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ לַעֲבֹ֞ד אֶת ־עֲבֹדַ֤ת בְּנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד וּלְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל ־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹ֨א יִהְיֶ֜ה בִּבְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ נֶ֔גֶף בְּגֶ֥שֶׁת בְּנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל ־הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ ׃
καὶ ἀπέδωκα τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπόδομα δεδομένους Ααρων καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐξιλάσκεσθαι περὶ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ προσεγγίζων πρὸς τὰ ἅγια
tradidique eos dono Aaron et filiis ejus de medio populi , ut serviant mihi pro Israël in tabernaculo foederis , et orent pro eis ne sit in populo plaga , si ausi fuerint accedere ad sanctuarium .
ወነሣእክዎሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በኵር ፡ ዘእምደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”
8:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֨עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֧ה וְאַהֲרֹ֛ן וְכׇל ־עֲדַ֥ת בְּנֵי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לַלְוִיִּ֑ם כְּ֠כֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁר ־צִוָּ֨ה יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁה֙ לַלְוִיִּ֔ם כֵּן ־עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ πᾶσα συναγωγὴ υἱῶν Ισραηλ τοῖς Λευίταις καθὰ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν οὕτως ἐποίησαν αὐτοῖς οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ
Feceruntque Moyses et Aaron et omnis multitudo filiorum Israël super Levitas quae praeceperat Dominus Moysi :
ወአግባእክዎሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ሀብተ ፡ ወተውህቡ ፡ ለአሮን ፡ ወለደቂቁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከመ ፡ ይግበሩ ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወያስተሰርዩ ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወአልቦቱ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዘይቀርብ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ቅድሳት ፡ እምደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did so to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.
8:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽתְחַטְּא֣וּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם וַֽיְכַבְּסוּ֙ בִּגְדֵיהֶ֔ם וַיָּ֨נֶף אַהֲרֹ֥ן אֹתָ֛ם תְּנוּפָ֖ה לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וַיְכַפֵּ֧ר עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם אַהֲרֹ֖ן לְטַהֲרָֽם ׃
καὶ ἡγνίσαντο οἱ Λευῖται καὶ ἐπλύναντο τὰ ἱμάτια καὶ ἀπέδωκεν αὐτοὺς Ααρων ἀπόδομα ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἐξιλάσατο περὶ αὐτῶν Ααρων ἀφαγνίσασθαι αὐτούς
purificatique sunt , et laverunt vestimenta sua . Elevavitque eos Aaron in conspectu Domini , et oravit pro eis ,
ወገብሩ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ተዓይኒሆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘሆ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በእንተ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብሩ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
8:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַחֲרֵי ־כֵ֞ן בָּ֣אוּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם לַעֲבֹ֤ד אֶת ־עֲבֹֽדָתָם֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד לִפְנֵ֥י אַהֲרֹ֖ן וְלִפְנֵ֣י בָנָ֑יו כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ צִוָּ֨ה יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁה֙ עַל ־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם כֵּ֖ן עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶֽם ׃ {ס}
καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσῆλθον οἱ Λευῖται λειτουργεῖν τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἔναντι Ααρων καὶ ἔναντι τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ καθὼς συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν οὕτως ἐποίησαν αὐτοῖς
ut purificati ingrederentur ad officia sua in tabernaculum foederis coram Aaron et filiis ejus . Sicut praeceperat Dominus Moysi de Levitis , ita factum est .
ወአንጹሑ ፡ ርእሶሙ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ወኀፀቡ ፡ አልባሲሆሙ ፡ ወአግብእዎሙ ፡ ኀበ ፡ አሮን ፡ ሀብ [ተ ] ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአስተስረየ ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ ፡ አሮን ፡ ከመ ፡ ያንጽሖሙ ።
After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
8:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen , dicens :
ወእምድኅረ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ቦኡ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ይግበሩ ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አሮን ፡ ወቅድመ ፡ ደቂቁ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብሩ ፡ ሎሙ ።
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
8:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ זֹ֖את אֲשֶׁ֣ר לַלְוִיִּ֑ם מִבֶּן֩ חָמֵ֨שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה יָבוֹא֙ לִצְבֹ֣א צָבָ֔א בַּעֲבֹדַ֖ת אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד ׃
τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν ἀπὸ πεντεκαιεικοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω εἰσελεύσονται ἐνεργεῖν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου
Haec est lex Levitarum : a viginti quinque annis et supra , ingredientur ut ministrent in tabernaculo foederis .
ወነበቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፤
“This is what is assigned to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;
8:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמִבֶּן֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה יָשׁ֖וּב מִצְּבָ֣א הָעֲבֹדָ֑ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲבֹ֖ד עֽוֹד ׃
καὶ ἀπὸ πεντηκονταετοῦς ἀποστήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς λειτουργίας καὶ οὐκ ἐργᾶται ἔτι
Cumque quinquagesimum annum aetatis impleverint , servire cessabunt ,
ዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘበእንተ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ዘእምዕሥራ ፡ ወኀምስቱ ፡ ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ይበውኡ ፡ ይግበሩ ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ።
and from the age of fifty years they shall retire from doing the work, and shall serve no more,
8:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשֵׁרֵ֨ת אֶת ־אֶחָ֜יו בְּאֹ֤הֶל מוֹעֵד֙ לִשְׁמֹ֣ר מִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת וַעֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א יַעֲבֹ֑ד כָּ֛כָה תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה לַלְוִיִּ֖ם בְּמִשְׁמְרֹתָֽם ׃ {פ}
καὶ λειτουργήσει ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου φυλάσσειν φυλακάς ἔργα δὲ οὐκ ἐργᾶται οὕτως ποιήσεις τοῖς Λευίταις ἐν ταῖς φυλακαῖς αὐτῶν
eruntque ministri fratrum suorum in tabernaculo foederis , ut custodiant quae sibi fuerunt commendata : opera autem ipsa non faciant . Sic dispones Levitis in custodiis suis .
ወዘእምኀምሳ ፡ ይሰዐር ፡ እምግብሩ ፡ ወኢይትቀነይ ፡ እንከ ፡ ውእቱ ። ወይትለአ [ክ ] ፡ እኁሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወይዕቀብ ፡ ሕቢቶሙ ፡ ወተቀንዮ ፡ ባሕቱ ፡ [ኢ ]ይትቀነዩ ፡ ወከመዝ ፡ ትገብር ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ በበ ፡ ሕቢቶሙ ።
but shall assist their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall perform no service. This is how you shall have the Levites do their duties.”
