δίκαιος εἶ κύριε καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ὁδοί σου ἐλεημοσύναι καὶ ἀλήθεια καὶ κρίσιν ἀληθινὴν καὶ δικαίαν σὺ κρίνεις εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα δίκαιος εἶ κύριε καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου δίκαια καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ὁδοί σου ἐλεημοσύνη καὶ ἀλήθεια σὺ κρίνεις τὸν αἰῶνα
dicens : Justus es, Domine, et omnia judicia tua justa sunt, et omnes viæ tuæ, misericordia, et veritas, et judicium.
ወእቤ፡ ጻድቅ፡ አንተ፡ እግዚኦ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ፍናዊከ፡ በምሕረት፡ ወበፍትሕ፡ በርትዕ፡ ወበጽድቅ፡ ትኴንን፡ ዓለመ።
“O Lord, you are righteous, and all your works and all your ways are mercy and truth, and you judge true and righteous judgement forever.
3:3
μνήσθητί μου καὶ ἐπίβλεψον ἐπ’ ἐμέ μή με ἐκδικήσῃς ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις μου καὶ τοῖς ἀγνοήμασίν μου καὶ τῶν πατέρων μου ἃ ἥμαρτον ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ νῦν σύ κύριε μνήσθητί μου καὶ ἐπίβλεψον καὶ μή με ἐκδικήσῃς ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις μου καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἀγνοήμασίν μου καὶ τῶν πατέρων μου οἷς ἥμαρτον ἐναντίον σου
Et nunc Domine, memor esto mei, et ne vindictam sumas de peccatis meis, neque reminiscaris delicta mea, vel parentum meorum.
ተዘከረኒ፡ ወነጽረኒ፡ ወኢትትበቀለኒ፡ በኃጢአትየ።
Remember me, and look at me. Don’t take vengeance on me for my sins and my ignorances, and the sins of my fathers who sinned before you.
3:4
παρήκουσαν γὰρ τῶν ἐντολῶν σου ἔδωκας ἡμᾶς εἰς διαρπαγὴν καὶ αἰχμαλωσίαν καὶ θάνατον καὶ παραβολὴν ὀνειδισμοῦ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐν οἷς ἐσκορπίσμεθα καὶ παρήκουσα τῶν ἐντολῶν σου καὶ ἔδωκας ἡμᾶς εἰς ἁρπαγὴν καὶ αἰχμαλωσίαν καὶ θάνατον καὶ εἰς παραβολὴν καὶ λάλημα καὶ ὀνειδισμὸν ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐν οἷς ἡμᾶς διεσκόρπισας
Quoniam non obedivimus præceptis tuis, ideo traditi sumus in direptionem, et captivitatem, et mortem, et in fabulam, et in improperium omnibus nationibus in quibus dispersisti nos.
ወበኃጢአተ፡ አበውየ፡ እለ፡ አበሱ፡ ለከ፡ ወኢሰምዑ፡ ትእዛዘከ፡ ወረሰይከኒ፡ ለተበርብሮ፡ ወለተሄውዎ፡ ወለተቀትሎ፡ ወኮነ፡ ትዕይርተ፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዓለም፡ ወአሕዛብ፡ እለ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ፡ ተዘርውነ፡ ኵለሄ።
For they disobeyed your commandments. You gave us as plunder, for captivity, for death, and for a proverb of reproach to all the nations among whom we are dispersed.
3:5
καὶ νῦν πολλαὶ αἱ κρίσεις σού εἰσιν ἀληθιναὶ ἐξ ἐμοῦ ποιῆσαι περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν μου καὶ τῶν πατέρων μου ὅτι οὐκ ἐποιήσαμεν τὰς ἐντολάς σου οὐ γὰρ ἐπορεύθημεν ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ νῦν πολλαί σου αἱ κρίσεις ὑπάρχουσιν ἀληθιναὶ ποιῆσαι ἐξ ἐμοῦ περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν μου ὅτι οὐκ ἐποιήσαμεν τὰς ἐντολάς σου καὶ οὐκ ἐπορεύθημεν ἀληθινῶς ἐνώπιόν σου
Et nunc Domine, magna judicia tua, quia non egimus secundum præcepta tua, et non ambulavimus sinceriter coram te.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ርቱዕ፡ ውእቱ፡ ኵነኔከ፡ ዘበጽድቅ፡ ወግበር፡ ሊተ፡ በዘይሠረይ፡ ኃጢአትየ፡ ወዘአበውየ፡ እስመ፡ ኢገበርነ፡ ትእዛዝከ፡ ወኢሖርነ፡ በጽድቅ፡ ቅድሜከ።
Now your judgments are many and true; that you should deal with me according to my sins and the sins of my fathers; because we did not keep your commandments, for we didn’t walk in truth before you.
3:6
καὶ νῦν κατὰ τὸ ἀρεστὸν ἐνώπιόν σου ποίησον μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἐπίταξον ἀναλαβεῖν τὸ πνεῦμά μου ὅπως ἀπολυθῶ καὶ γένωμαι γῆ διότι λυσιτελεῖ μοι ἀποθανεῖν ἢ ζῆν ὅτι ὀνειδισμοὺς ψευδεῖς ἤκουσα καὶ λύπη ἐστὶν πολλὴ ἐν ἐμοί ἐπίταξον ἀπολυθῆναί με τῆς ἀνάγκης ἤδη εἰς τὸν αἰώνιον τόπον μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ νῦν κατὰ τὸ ἀρεστόν σου ποίησον μετ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐπίταξον ἀναλαβεῖν τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐξ ἐμοῦ ὅπως ἀπολυθῶ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς καὶ γένωμαι γῆ διὸ λυσιτελεῖ μοι ἀποθανεῖν μᾶλλον ἢ ζῆν ὅτι ὀνειδισμοὺς ψευδεῖς ἤκουσα καὶ λύπη πολλὴ μετ’ ἐμοῦ κύριε ἐπίταξον ὅπως ἀπολυθῶ ἀπὸ τῆς ἀνάγκης ταύτης ἀπόλυσόν με εἰς τὸν τόπον τὸν αἰώνιον καὶ μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου κύριε ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ διὸ λυσιτελεῖ μοι ἀποθανεῖν μᾶλλον ἢ βλέπειν ἀνάγκην πολλὴν ἐν τῇ ζωῇ μου καὶ μὴ ἀκούειν ὀνειδισμούς
Et nunc Domine, secundum voluntatem tuam fac mecum, et præcipe in pace recipi spiritum meum : expedit enim mihi mori magis quam vivere.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ዘይዔድመከ፡ ግበር፡ ምስሌየ፡ በቅድሜከ፡ ወአዝዝ፡ ዘይትሜጦ፡ መንፈስየ፡ ከመ፡ እሠዓር፡ ወእኩን፡ መሬተ፡ እስመ፡ ይኄይሰኒ፡ ትዕይርተ፡ በሐሰት፡ ወበዝኀ፡ ኃዘን፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ወአዝዝ፡ እሠዐር፡ እምሕማምየ፡ ውስተ፡ መካን፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ወኢትሚጥ፡ ገጸከ፡ እምኔየ።
Now deal with me according to that which is pleasing in your sight. Command my spirit to be taken from me, that I may be released, and become earth. For it is more profitable for me to die rather than to live, because I have heard false reproaches, and there is much sorrow in me. Command that I be released from my distress, now, and go to the everlasting place. Don’t turn your face away from me.”
3:7
ἐν τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ συνέβη τῇ θυγατρὶ Ραγουηλ Σαρρα ἐν Ἐκβατάνοις τῆς Μηδίας καὶ ταύτην ὀνειδισθῆναι ὑπὸ παιδισκῶν πατρὸς αὐτῆς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ συνέβη Σαρρα τῇ θυγατρὶ Ραγουηλ τοῦ ἐν Ἐκβατάνοις τῆς Μηδίας καὶ αὐτὴν ἀκοῦσαι ὀνειδισμοὺς ὑπὸ μιᾶς τῶν παιδισκῶν τοῦ πατρὸς ἑαυτῆς
Eadem itaque die, contigit ut Sara filia Raguelis in Rages civitate Medorum et ipsa audiret improperium ab una ex ancillis patris sui,
ወበይእቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ረከባ፡ ለወለተ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ሣራ፡ እምነ፡ መጣኒ፡ ዘሜዶን፡ ወተአየራሃ፡ አዕማተ፡ አቡሃ።
The same day it happened to Sarah the daughter of Raguel in Ecbatana of Media, that she also was reproached by her father’s maidservants;
3:8
ὅτι ἦν δεδομένη ἀνδράσιν ἑπτά καὶ Ασμοδαυς τὸ πονηρὸν δαιμόνιον ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτοὺς πρὶν ἢ γενέσθαι αὐτοὺς μετ’ αὐτῆς ὡς ἐν γυναιξίν καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῇ οὐ συνίεις ἀποπνίγουσά σου τοὺς ἄνδρας ἤδη ἑπτὰ ἔσχες καὶ ἑνὸς αὐτῶν οὐκ ὠνάσθης διότι ἦν ἐκδεδομένη ἀνδράσιν ἑπτά καὶ Ασμοδαῖος τὸ δαιμόνιον τὸ πονηρὸν ἀπέκτεννεν αὐτοὺς πρὶν ἢ γενέσθαι αὐτοὺς μετ’ αὐτῆς καθάπερ ἀποδεδειγμένον ἐστὶν ταῖς γυναιξίν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ ἡ παιδίσκη σὺ εἶ ἡ ἀποκτέννουσα τοὺς ἄνδρας σου ἰδοὺ ἤδη ἀπεκδέδοσαι ἑπτὰ ἀνδράσιν καὶ ἑνὸς αὐτῶν οὐκ ὠνομάσθης
quoniam tradita fuerat septem viris, et dæmonium nomine Asmodæus occiderat eos, mox ut ingressi fuissent ad eam.
እስመ፡ አስተዋሰብዋ፡ ለሰብዓቱ፡ ዕደው፡ ወቀተሎሙ፡ ጋኔን፡ እኩይ፡ አስማንድዮስ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ይቅረብዋ፡ እንተ፡ ብእሲ፡ ወብእሲት፡ ወይቤላሃ፡ ኢተአምሪኑ፡ እንዘ፡ ይትሐነቁ፡ ዓምታትኪ፡ ወናሁ፡ ሰብዓቱ፡ አውሰቡኪ፡ ወአሐዱ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ኢተለወኪ።
because that she had been given to seven husbands, and Asmodaeus the evil spirit killed them, before they had lain with her. And they said to her, “Do you not know that you strangle your husbands? You have had already seven husbands, and you haven’t borne the name of any one of them.
3:9
τί ἡμᾶς μαστιγοῖς εἰ ἀπέθαναν βάδιζε μετ’ αὐτῶν μὴ ἴδοιμέν σου υἱὸν ἢ θυγατέρα εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τί ἡμᾶς μαστιγοῖς περὶ τῶν ἀνδρῶν σου ὅτι ἀπέθανον βάδιζε μετ’ αὐτῶν καὶ μὴ ἴδοιμεν υἱόν σου μηδὲ θυγατέρα εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
Ergo cum pro culpa sua increparet puellam, respondit ei, dicens : Amplius ex te non videamus filium aut filiam super terram, interfectrix virorum tuorum.
ወምንተት፡ እንከ፡ ተቀሠፍነ፡ በእንቲአሆሙ፡ እስመ፡ ሞቱ፡ ሑሪ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ወኢንርአይ፡ ወልደ፡ ወወለተ፡ እምኔኪ፡ ለዓለም።
Why do you scourge us? If they are dead, go your ways with them. Let us never see either son or daughter from you.”
3:10
ταῦτα ἀκούσασα ἐλυπήθη σφόδρα ὥστε ἀπάγξασθαι καὶ εἶπεν μία μέν εἰμι τῷ πατρί μου ἐὰν ποιήσω τοῦτο ὄνειδος αὐτῷ ἐστιν καὶ τὸ γῆρας αὐτοῦ κατάξω μετ’ ὀδύνης εἰς ᾅδου ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐλυπήθη ἐν τῇ ψυχῇ καὶ ἔκλαυσεν καὶ ἀναβᾶσα εἰς τὸ ὑπερῷον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς ἠθέλησεν ἀπάγξασθαι καὶ πάλιν ἐλογίσατο καὶ λέγει μήποτε ὀνειδίσωσιν τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ ἐροῦσιν αὐτῷ μία σοι ὑπῆρχεν θυγάτηρ ἀγαπητὴ καὶ αὐτὴ ἀπήγξατο ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν καὶ κατάξω τὸ γῆρας τοῦ πατρός μου μετὰ λύπης εἰς ᾅδου χρησιμώτερόν μοί ἐστιν μὴ ἀπάγξασθαι ἀλλὰ δεηθῆναι τοῦ κυρίου ὅπως ἀποθάνω καὶ μηκέτι ὀνειδισμοὺς ἀκούσω ἐν τῇ ζωῇ μου
Numquid et occidere me vis, sicut jam occidisti septem viros ? Ad hanc vocem perrexit in superius cubiculum domus suæ : et tribus diebus, et tribus noctibus non manducavit, neque bibit :
ወሶበ፡ ሰምዐት፡ ዘንተ፡ ተከዘት፡ ጥቀ፡ ወትቤ፡ አሐቲ፡ አነ፡ ለአቡየ፡ ወእመ፡ ገበርኩ፡ ዘንተ፡ ከመዝ፡ ትዕይርተ፡ እከውኖ፡ ወአወርድ፡ ርስዓኒሁ፡ በፃዕር፡ ውስተ፡ መቃብር።
When she heard these things, she was grieved exceedingly, so that she thought about hanging herself. Then she said, “I am the only daughter of my father. If I do this, it will be a reproach to him, and I will bring down his old age with sorrow to the grave.”
3:11
καὶ ἐδεήθη πρὸς τῇ θυρίδι καὶ εἶπεν εὐλογητὸς εἶ κύριε ὁ θεός μου καὶ εὐλογητὸν τὸ ὄνομά σου τὸ ἅγιον καὶ ἔντιμον εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας εὐλογήσαισάν σε πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ καιρῷ διαπετάσασα τὰς χεῖρας πρὸς τὴν θυρίδα ἐδεήθη καὶ εἶπεν εὐλογητὸς εἶ θεὲ ἐλεήμων καὶ εὐλογητὸν τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας καὶ εὐλογησάτωσάν σε πάντα τὰ ἔργα σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
sed in oratione persistens cum lacrimis deprecabatur Deum, ut ab isto improperio liberaret eam.
ወጸለየት፡ በውስተ፡ ቤታ፡ ወትቤ፡ ቡሩክ፡ አንተ፡ እግዚኦ፡ አምላኪየ፡ ወይትባረክ፡ ስምከ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ወቡሩክ፡ ስምከ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዓለም፡ ወክቡር፡ ኵሉ፡ ግብርከ፡ ለዓለም።
Then she prayed by the window, and said, “Blessed are you, O Lord my God, and blessed is your holy and honorable name forever! Let all your works praise you forever!
3:12
καὶ νῦν κύριε τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου εἰς σὲ δέδωκα καὶ νῦν ἐπὶ σὲ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου ἀνέβλεψα
Factum est autem die tertia, dum compleret orationem, benedicens Dominum
ወይእዜኒ፡ እግዚኦ፡ አዕይንትየ፡ ወገጽየ፡ ለከ፡ መጠውኩ።
And now, Lord, I have set my eyes and my face toward you.
3:13
εἰπὸν ἀπολῦσαί με ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ μὴ ἀκοῦσαί με μηκέτι ὀνειδισμόν εἰπὸν ἀπολυθῆναί με ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ μὴ ἀκούειν με μηκέτι ὀνειδισμούς
dixit : Benedictum est nomen tuum, Deus patrum nostrorum : qui cum iratus fueris, misericordiam facies, et in tempore tribulationis peccata dimittis his qui invocant te.
ወእብለከ፡ ሠዓረኒ፡ እምነ፡ ምድር፡ ከመ፡ ኢይስማዕ፡ ትዕይርተ።
Command that I be released from the earth, and that I no longer hear reproach.
3:14
σὺ γινώσκεις κύριε ὅτι καθαρά εἰμι ἀπὸ πάσης ἁμαρτίας ἀνδρὸς σὺ γινώσκεις δέσποτα ὅτι καθαρά εἰμι ἀπὸ πάσης ἀκαθαρσίας ἀνδρὸς
Ad te, Domine, faciem meam converto ; ad te oculos meos dirigo.
ለሊከ፡ እግዚኦ፡ ተአምር፡ ከመ፡ ንጽሕት፡ አነ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ኃጢአት፡ ዘምስለ፡ ብእሲ።
You know, Lord, that I am pure from all sin with man,
3:15
καὶ οὐκ ἐμόλυνα τὸ ὄνομά μου οὐδὲ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρός μου ἐν τῇ γῇ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας μου μονογενής εἰμι τῷ πατρί μου καὶ οὐχ ὑπάρχει αὐτῷ παιδίον ὃ κληρονομήσει αὐτόν οὐδὲ ἀδελφὸς ἐγγὺς οὐδὲ ὑπάρχων αὐτῷ υἱός ἵνα συντηρήσω ἐμαυτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα ἤδη ἀπώλοντό μοι ἑπτά ἵνα τί μοι ζῆν καὶ εἰ μὴ δοκεῖ σοι ἀποκτεῖναί με ἐπίταξον ἐπιβλέψαι ἐπ’ ἐμὲ καὶ ἐλεῆσαί με καὶ μηκέτι ἀκοῦσαί με ὀνειδισμόν καὶ οὐχὶ ἐμόλυνά μου τὸ ὄνομα καὶ οὐδὲ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρός μου ἐν τῇ γῇ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας μου μονογενής εἰμι τῷ πατρί μου καὶ οὐχ ὑπάρχει αὐτῷ ἕτερον τέκνον ἵνα κληρονομήσῃ αὐτόν οὐδὲ ἀδελφὸς αὐτῷ ἐγγὺς οὔτε συγγενὴς αὐτῷ ὑπάρχει ἵνα συντηρήσω ἐμαυτὴν αὐτῷ γυναῖκα ἤδη ἀπώλοντό μοι ἑπτά καὶ ἵνα τί μοί ἐστιν ἔτι ζῆν καὶ εἰ μή σοι δοκεῖ ἀποκτεῖναί με κύριε νῦν εἰσάκουσον ὀνειδισμόν μου
Peto, Domine, ut de vinculo improperii hujus absolvas me, aut certe desuper terram eripias me.
ወኢያገመንኩ፡ ስምየ፡ ወስመ፡ አቡየ፡ በብሔር፡ ዘተፄወውኩ፡ ወአሐቲ፡ አነ፡ ለአቡየ፡ ወአልብየ፡ እኍ፡ ወአልብየ፡ ዘቅሩብ፡ ወእትዓቀብ፡ ለብእሲ፡ እስመ፡ ሰብዓቱ፡ ሞቱኒ፡ ለምንተ፡ እንከ፡ አሐዩ፡ ወለእመኒ፡ ኢፈቀድከ፡ ትቅትለኒ፡ ነጽር፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ወአስተምሕረኒ፡ ወአዝዝ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይስማዕ፡ ትዕይርተ፡ እንከ።
and that I never polluted my name or the name of my father, in the land of my captivity. I am the only daughter of my father, and he has no child that will be his heir, nor brother near him, nor son belonging to him, that I should keep myself for a wife to him. Seven husbands of mine are dead already. Why should I live? If it doesn’t please you to kill me, command some regard to be had of me, and pity taken of me, and that I hear no more reproach.”
3:16
καὶ εἰσηκούσθη ἡ προσευχὴ ἀμφοτέρων ἐνώπιον τῆς δόξης τοῦ μεγάλου Ραφαηλ ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ καιρῷ εἰσηκούσθη ἡ προσευχὴ ἀμφοτέρων ἐνώπιον τῆς δόξης τοῦ θεοῦ
Tu scis, Domine, quia numquam concupivi virum, et mundam servavi animam meam ab omni concupiscentia.
ወተሰምዓ፡ ጸሎቶሙ፡ ለክልኤሆሙ፡ በቅድመ፡ ስብሐተ፡ ዕበዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
The prayer of both was heard before the glory of the great God.
3:17
καὶ ἀπεστάλη ἰάσασθαι τοὺς δύο τοῦ Τωβιτ λεπίσαι τὰ λευκώματα καὶ Σαρραν τὴν τοῦ Ραγουηλ δοῦναι Τωβια τῷ υἱῷ Τωβιτ γυναῖκα καὶ δῆσαι Ασμοδαυν τὸ πονηρὸν δαιμόνιον διότι Τωβια ἐπιβάλλει κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ καιρῷ ἐπιστρέψας Τωβιτ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ καὶ Σαρρα ἡ τοῦ Ραγουηλ κατέβη ἐκ τοῦ ὑπερῴου αὐτῆς καὶ ἀπεστάλη Ραφαηλ ἰάσασθαι τοὺς δύο Τωβιν ἀπολῦσαι τὰ λευκώματα ἀπὸ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ ἵνα ἴδῃ τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς τὸ φῶς τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ Σαρραν τὴν Ραγουηλ δοῦναι αὐτὴν Τωβια τῷ υἱῷ Τωβιθ γυναῖκα καὶ λῦσαι Ασμοδαιον τὸ δαιμόνιον τὸ πονηρὸν ἀπ’ αὐτῆς διότι Τωβια ἐπιβάλλει κληρονομῆσαι αὐτὴν παρὰ πάντας τοὺς θέλοντας λαβεῖν αὐτήν ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ ἐπέστρεψεν Τωβιθ ἀπὸ τῆς αὐλῆς εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ καὶ Σαρρα ἡ τοῦ Ραγουηλ καὶ αὐτὴ κατέβη ἐκ τοῦ ὑπερῴου
Numquam cum ludentibus miscui me, neque cum his qui in levitate ambulant, participem me præbui.
ወፈነዎ፡ ለሩፋኤል፡ ከመ፡ ይፈውሶሙ፡ ለክልኤሆሙ፡ ወለጦቢትኒ፡ ከመ፡ ያሰስል፡ ጢሰ፡ ዓይኑ፡ ወለሣራኒ፡ ወለተ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ከመ፡ የሀባ፡ ለጦብያ፡ ወልደ፡ ጦቢት፡ ትኰኖ፡ ብእሲቶ፡ ወከመ፡ ይሥዓሮ፡ ለአስማንድዮስ፡ ጋኔን፡ እኵይ፡ እስመ፡ ጦብያ፡ ይወርሳ፡ ወበእማንቱ፡ መዋዕል፡ ተመይጠ፡ ጦቢት፡ ወዐተወ፡ ቤቶ፡ ወሣራኒ፡ ወለተ፡ ራጉኤል፡ ወረደት፡ እምነ፡ ጽርሐ፡ ላዕላይ።
Raphael also was sent to heal them both, to scale away the white films from Tobit’s eyes, and to give Sarah the daughter of Raguel for a wife to Tobias the son of Tobit; and to bind Asmodaeus the evil spirit; because it belonged to Tobias that he should inherit her. At that very time, Tobit returned and entered into his house, and Sarah the daughter of Raguel came down from her upper chamber.
