5:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאָשׁ֕וּב וָאֶשָּׂ֥א עֵינַ֖י וָֽאֶרְאֶ֑ה וְהִנֵּ֖ה מְגִלָּ֥ה עָפָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐπέστρεψα καὶ ἦρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ δρέπανον πετόμενον
Et conversus sum , et levavi oculos meos , et vidi , et ecce volumen volans .
ወካዕበ ፡ ተመየጥኩ ፡ ወርኢኩ ፡ ማዕፅድ ፡ ይሰርር ።
Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.
5:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י מָ֥ה אַתָּ֖ה רֹאֶ֑ה וָאֹמַ֗ר אֲנִ֤י רֹאֶה֙ מְגִלָּ֣ה עָפָ֔ה אׇרְכָּהּ֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה וְרׇחְבָּ֖הּ עֶ֥שֶׂר בָּאַמָּֽה ׃
καὶ εἶπεν πρός με τί σὺ βλέπεις καὶ εἶπα ἐγὼ ὁρῶ δρέπανον πετόμενον μῆκος πήχεων εἴκοσι καὶ πλάτος πήχεων δέκα
Et dixit ad me : Quid tu vides ? Et dixi : Ego video volumen volans : longitudo ejus viginti cubitorum , et latitudo ejus decem cubitorum .
ይቤለኒ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ትሬኢ ፡ ወእቤሎ ፡ እሬኢ ፡ ማዕፅድ ፡ ይሰርር ፡ ወኑኁ ፡ ዕስራ ፡ በእመት ፡ ወጽፍሑ ፡ ዕስር ፡ በእመት ።
He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”
5:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י זֹ֚את הָֽאָלָ֔ה הַיּוֹצֵ֖את עַל ־פְּנֵ֣י כׇל ־הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּ֣י כׇל ־הַגֹּנֵ֗ב מִזֶּה֙ כָּמ֣וֹהָ נִקָּ֔ה וְכׇ֨ל ־הַנִּשְׁבָּ֔ע מִזֶּ֖ה כָּמ֥וֹהָ נִקָּֽה ׃
καὶ εἶπεν πρός με αὕτη ἡ ἀρὰ ἡ ἐκπορευομένη ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πάσης τῆς γῆς διότι πᾶς ὁ κλέπτης ἐκ τούτου ἕως θανάτου ἐκδικηθήσεται καὶ πᾶς ὁ ἐπίορκος ἐκ τούτου ἕως θανάτου ἐκδικηθήσεται
Et dixit ad me : Haec est maledictio quae egreditur super faciem omnis terrae : quia omnis fur , sicut ibi scriptum est , judicabitur , et omnis jurans ex hoc similiter judicabitur .
ወይቤለኒ ፡ ዝንቱኬ ፡ መርገም ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኲሉ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኲሎ ፡ ሰራቄ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይትቤቀል ፡ ዋይቀትለሎ ፡ ወለኲ ፡ ዘይምሕል ፡ በሐሰት ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይተቤቀሎ ፡ በሞት ።
Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.
5:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ הוֹצֵאתִ֗יהָ נְאֻם֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת וּבָ֙אָה֙ אֶל ־בֵּ֣ית הַגַּנָּ֔ב וְאֶל ־בֵּ֛ית הַנִּשְׁבָּ֥ע בִּשְׁמִ֖י לַשָּׁ֑קֶר וְלָ֙נֶה֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ בֵּית֔וֹ וְכִלַּ֖תּוּ וְאֶת ־עֵצָ֥יו וְאֶת ־אֲבָנָֽיו ׃
καὶ ἐξοίσω αὐτό λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ κλέπτου καὶ εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ ὀμνύοντος τῷ ὀνόματί μου ἐπὶ ψεύδει καὶ καταλύσει ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ συντελέσει αὐτὸν καὶ τὰ ξύλα αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς λίθους αὐτοῦ
Educam illud , dicit Dominus exercituum : et veniet ad domum furis , et ad domum jurantis in nomine meo mendaciter : et commorabitur in medio domus ejus , et consumet eam , et ligna ejus , et lapides ejus .
ወአወፅኦ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚብሔር ፡ ዘኲሎ ፡ ይመልክ ፡ ወይበውእ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሰራቂ ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ኲሉ ፡ ዘይምሕል ፡ በሐሰት ፡ በስምየ ፡ ወየኀድር ፡ በማእከለ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ወያኀልቆ ፡ ዕፀዊሁ ፡ ወእበኒሁ ።
I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”
5:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֵּצֵ֕א הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר בִּ֑י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י שָׂ֣א נָ֤א עֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ וּרְאֵ֔ה מָ֖ה הַיּוֹצֵ֥את הַזֹּֽאת ׃
καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ λαλῶν ἐν ἐμοὶ καὶ εἶπεν πρός με ἀνάβλεψον τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου καὶ ἰδὲ τί τὸ ἐκπορευόμενον τοῦτο
Et egressus est angelus qui loquebatur in me , et dixit ad me : Leva oculos tuos , et vide quid est hoc quod egreditur .
ወወፅአ ፡ መልአክ ፡ ዘኩ ፡ ዜትናገረኒ ፡ ወይቤለኒ ፡ ነጽር ፡ በአዕይንቲከ ፡ ወረኢ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ዘየሐውር ።
Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”
5:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֹמַ֖ר מַה ־הִ֑יא וַיֹּ֗אמֶר זֹ֤את הָֽאֵיפָה֙ הַיּוֹצֵ֔את וַיֹּ֕אמֶר זֹ֥את עֵינָ֖ם בְּכׇל ־הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
καὶ εἶπα τί ἐστιν καὶ εἶπεν τοῦτο τὸ μέτρον τὸ ἐκπορευόμενον καὶ εἶπεν αὕτη ἡ ἀδικία αὐτῶν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ
Et dixi : Quidnam est ? Et ait : Haec est amphora egrediens . Et dixit : Haec est oculus eorum in universa terra .
ወእቤለ ፡ ምንትኑ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ወይቤለኒ ፡ ዝቱ ፡ መስፈርት ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ ኲላ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዓመፃሆሙ ፡ ውእቱ ።
I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—
5:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּ֛ה כִּכַּ֥ר עֹפֶ֖רֶת נִשֵּׂ֑את וְזֹאת֙ אִשָּׁ֣ה אַחַ֔ת יוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת בְּת֥וֹךְ הָאֵיפָֽה ׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ τάλαντον μολίβου ἐξαιρόμενον καὶ ἰδοὺ μία γυνὴ ἐκάθητο ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ μέτρου
Et ecce talentum plumbi portabatur , et ecce mulier una sedens in medio amphorae .
ወናሁ ፡ መክሊተ ፡ ዐረር ፡ ይትነሣእ ፡ ወብእሲት ፡ ትነብር ፡ ማእከለ ፡ መስፈርት ።
and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephah basket.”
5:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ זֹ֣את הָרִשְׁעָ֔ה וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ אֹתָ֖הּ אֶל ־תּ֣וֹךְ הָֽאֵיפָ֑ה וַיַּשְׁלֵ֛ךְ אֶת ־אֶ֥בֶן הָעוֹפֶ֖רֶת אֶל ־פִּֽיהָ ׃ {ס}
καὶ εἶπεν αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ ἀνομία καὶ ἔρριψεν αὐτὴν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ μέτρου καὶ ἔρριψεν τὸν λίθον τοῦ μολίβου εἰς τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς
Et dixit : Haec est impietas . Et projecit eam in medio amphorae , et misit massam plumbeam in os ejus .
ወይቤለኒ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ኃጢአት ፡ ወረውዋ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ መስፈርት ፡ ወወርዉ ፡ እብነ ፡ ዓረር ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፋሃ ።
He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.
5:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶשָּׂ֨א עֵינַ֜י וָאֵ֗רֶא וְהִנֵּה֩ שְׁתַּ֨יִם נָשִׁ֤ים יֽוֹצְאוֹת֙ וְר֣וּחַ בְּכַנְפֵיהֶ֔ם וְלָהֵ֥נָּה כְנָפַ֖יִם כְּכַנְפֵ֣י הַחֲסִידָ֑ה וַתִּשֶּׂ֙אנָה֙ אֶת ־הָ֣אֵיפָ֔ה בֵּ֥ין הָאָ֖רֶץ וּבֵ֥ין הַשָּׁמָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἦρα τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ δύο γυναῖκες ἐκπορευόμεναι καὶ πνεῦμα ἐν ταῖς πτέρυξιν αὐτῶν καὶ αὗται εἶχον πτέρυγας ὡς πτέρυγας ἔποπος καὶ ἀνέλαβον τὸ μέτρον ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ οὐρανοῦ
Et levavi oculos meos , et vidi : et ecce duae mulieres egredientes : et spiritus in alis earum , et habebant alas quasi alas milvi , et levaverunt amphoram inter terram et caelum .
ወአንሳእኩ ፡ አዕይንትየ ፡ ወርኢኩ ፡ ክልኤተ ፡ አንስተ ፡ የሐውራ ፡ ወነፋስ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክነፊሆን ፡ ወቦቶን ፡ ክንፈ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እገሪሆን ፡ ወነስኦሃ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ መስፈርት ፡ መእከለ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወምድር ።
Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.
5:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֹמַ֕ר אֶל ־הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר בִּ֑י אָ֛נָה הֵ֥מָּה מֽוֹלִכ֖וֹת אֶת ־הָאֵיפָֽה ׃
καὶ εἶπα πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον τὸν λαλοῦντα ἐν ἐμοί ποῦ αὗται ἀποφέρουσιν τὸ μέτρον
Et dixi ad angelum qui loquebatur in me : Quo istae deferunt amphoram ?
ወእቤሎ ፡ ለመልአክ ፡ ዜትናገረኒ ፡ አይቴ ፡ ይወስዳ ፡ መስፈረተ ፡ እላንቱ ፡ አንስት ።
Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”
5:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י לִבְנֽוֹת ־לָ֥הֿ בַ֖יִת בְּאֶ֣רֶץ שִׁנְעָ֑ר וְהוּכַ֛ן וְהֻנִּ֥יחָה שָּׁ֖ם עַל ־מְכֻנָתָֽהּ ׃ {פ}
καὶ εἶπεν πρός με οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἰκίαν ἐν γῇ Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἑτοιμάσαι καὶ θήσουσιν αὐτὸ ἐκεῖ ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ
Et dixit ad me : Ut aedificetur ei domus in terra Sennaar , et stabiliatur , et ponatur ibi super basem suam .
ወይቤለኒ ፡ ይሕንጻ ፡ ቤተ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወያስተዳዋሀ ፡ ወያነብራሓ ፡ ህየ ፡ አስተዳዎን ።
He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”
