2:1

ወከመዝ፡ ይቤሎ፡ ነቢይ፡ ረዓይ፡ ዘይብልዎ፡ ይእዜሰ፡ ተፈሣሕ፡ ኅዳጠ፡ በብርሃነ፡ ሰዓት፡ ወሀለዎ፡ ይትበቀለከ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ቅዱስ፡ እስራኤል፡ በዘኢተሐዘብከ፡ ገጽ።

And thus said the prophet whom they call Reay: As for now, rejoice for a little while in the light of the hour; but the Holy One of Israel, the Lord, is about to take vengeance upon you in a manner you did not expect.

那名叫列阿伊的先知如此說：『如今你只管在這時辰的光中歡喜片時罷；但以色列的聖者，就是主，必要以你所意想不到的方式向你報復。』

2:2

ተብለነ፡ ረዋጽያነ፡ አፍራስየ፡ ወበእንተዝ፡ አመሥጥ፡ በበዲር።

Will you say to us, 'My horses are swift, and therefore I will escape by flight'?

你豈要對我們說：『我的馬匹奔馳迅速，因此我必藉著奔逃得以逃脫』麼？

2:3

ወአንሰ፡ እብአከ፡ እምአንስርት፡ ይረውፁ፡ እለ፡ ይዴግኑከ፡ ወኢታመሥጥ፡ እመንሱት፡ ወመዓተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘላዕሌከ።

But I tell you: those who pursue you run swifter than eagles, and you shall not escape from the calamity and the wrath of the Lord that is upon you.

但我告訴你：追趕你的人奔跑比鷹更快，你斷不能逃脫臨到你身上的災禍和主的忿怒。

2:4

ወትብልኑ፡ እለብስ፡ ሐፂነ፡ ወኢይክለኒ፡ ሂጵተ፡ ቀስት፡ ወደርብዮ፡ ኵያንው፡ ወአክኮኪ፡ ከማሁ፡ በደርብዮ፡ ሐፂን፡ ዘኢትቤቀለከ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ቅዱሰ፡ እስራኤል፡ አላ፡ አመጽእ፡ እኪተ፡ ሕማመ፡ ውስተ፡ ልብከ፡ ዘየአኪ፡ እምሄጳተ፡ ቀስት፡ ወደርብዮ፡ ኵናት፡ ወደዌ፡ ሲሕ፡ ወአበቅ።

Or will you say, 'I clothe myself in iron, and the dart of the bow and the cast of the spear cannot harm me'? Even so, neither shall I take vengeance upon you with the cast of iron, said the Holy One of Israel, the Lord. Rather, I will bring upon you grievous sickness into your heart, that is worse than the dart of the bow and the cast of the spear, and the disease of consumption and of swelling.

你豈要說：『我身披鐵甲，弓箭的射擊與槍矛的投擲都不能傷我』麼？以色列的聖者，就是主說：『我也不用鐵器的投擲向你報復；倒要將比弓箭的射擊、槍矛的投擲更厲害的惡疾痛苦降在你的心裡，並使你患癆病與浮腫之症。』

2:5

ወአመጽእ፡ እኪተ፡ ሕማመ፡ ውስተ፡ ልብከ፡ ወተኃጥእ፡ ዘይረድአከ፡ ወኢትረክብ፡ እስመ፡ ወሀከ፡ መዓትየ፡ ወኢታመሥጥ፡ እምእዴየ፡ እስከ፡ አጥፍዕ፡ እምድር፡ ዝክረከ።

And I will bring grievous sickness into your heart, and you shall find none to help you, for you have provoked My wrath; and you shall not escape from My hand until I have blotted out the remembrance of you from the earth.

我必將惡疾痛苦降在你心裡，你尋不見幫助你的人，也得不著；因為你惹動了我的忿怒。你斷不能逃脫我的手，直到我從地上抹除對你的記念。

2:6

ወተአምረኒ፡ ከመ፡ አነ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ፈጣሪከ፡ ሶበ፡ አገብሮ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ነገር፡ ፍጡነ፡ ከመ፡ ቅጽበተ፡ ዓይን፡ እስመ፡ አንተ፡ አግዘፍከ፡ ክሣድከ፡ ወአልዓልከ፡ ርእሰከ፡ ዲበ፡ ሀገርየ፡ እስመ፡ አንተ፡ ከመ፡ ሣዕር፡ ዘቅድመ፡ ገጸ፡ ነፋስ፡ ዘይበልዖ፡ እሳት፡ በቅድመ፡ አዕይን፡ ትየ፡ ወከመ፡ ሐመድ፡ ዘይነሥእዎ፡ ነፋሳት፡ ወአውሎ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ገጸ፡ ምድር፡ ከማሁ፡ አንተ፡ በኀቤየ።

And you shall know that I am the Lord your Creator, when I bring this thing to pass swiftly, as in the twinkling of an eye; for you have stiffened your neck and lifted up yourself over My land. You are like grass before the face of the wind, which the fire devours before my eyes, and like ashes which the winds and the storm bear away from off the face of the earth—so are you before Me.

當我如轉眼之間迅速成就這事的時候，你必知道我是主，是創造你的。因為你硬著頸項，高抬自己過於我的地；你在我面前如同臨風的草，火在我眼前將它吞滅，又如風暴從地面捲去的灰塵—你在我面前正是如此。

2:7

እስመ፡ ወሀኮ፡ መዓትየ፡ ወኢያእመርከ፡ ፈጣሬ፡ ዚአከ፡ ወአነሂ፡ ኢትኄየዮ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ዘዚአከ፡ ወኢያተርፍ፡ ዘያስተአዝብ፡ በኵሉ፡ አድባሪከ።

For you have provoked My wrath and have not acknowledged your Creator; and I also will not spare any that belong to you, nor will I leave any that may be reckoned among all your fortresses.

因為你惹動了我的忿怒，又不認識創造你的主；我也必不顧惜一切屬你的人，並不在你一切的營壘中留下可數算的一人。

2:8

ወይእዜኒ፡ ነስሕ፡ እምነ፡ ኵሉ፡ እኩይ፡ ዘገበርከ፡ ወለእመ፡ ነሳሕከ፡ ወተጋነይከ፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በአንብዕ፡ ወበብካይ፡ ወሰአልከ፡ ኀቤሁ፡ በንጹሕ፡ ልብ፡ ይትዓደዋ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለኃጢአትከ፡ በኵሉ፡ ዘአበስከ፡ በቅድሜሁ።

And now, repent of all the evil you have done; and if you repent and humble yourself before the Lord with tears and weeping, and entreat Him with a pure heart, the Lord will forgive you your sin in all wherein you have transgressed before Him.

如今你當為所行的一切惡事悔改；你若悔改，在主面前以眼淚和哀哭謙卑自己，又以純潔的心向祂祈求，主必赦免你在祂面前所犯的一切罪。

2:9

ወውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ በከየ፡ መቃቢስ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በእንተ፡ ኃጢአቱ፡ ወለብሰ፡ ሐመደ፡ እስመ፡ ተምዕዖ፡ እግዚአብሔር።

And at that time Meqabis wept before the Lord because of his sin, and he clothed himself in ashes, for the Lord was wroth with him.

那時，梅加比斯因自己的罪在主面前哀哭，又以爐灰為衣，因為主向他發怒。

2:10

ወአእመረ፡ ከመ፡ ኢያጐነዲ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እኪተ፡ ዘነበበ፡ በአፈ፡ ነቢዩ፡ እስመ፡ ትጉሕ፡ አዕይንቲሁ፡ ወኢይነውም፡ ወክሡት፡ ዕዘኒሁ፡ ወኢይጸመም፡ ወኢትሔሱ፡ ቃለ፡ ዘነበበ፡ ወይገብራ፡ በአሐቲ፡ ጊዜ፡ ከመ፡ ቅጽበተ፡ ዓይን።

And he knew that the Lord would not delay the calamity which He had spoken by the mouth of His prophet; for His eyes are watchful and slumber not, and His ears are open and grow not deaf, and He makes not false the word which He has spoken, but performs it in one moment, as in the twinkling of an eye.

他知道主必不遲延祂藉先知口中所說的災禍；因為主的眼目時刻儆醒，並不打盹，祂的耳朵敞開，並不發沉，祂所說的話必不落空，乃要在轉眼之間頃刻成就。

2:11

ወገደፈ፡ አልባሲሁ፡ ወለብሰ፡ ሠቅ፡ ጸጕር፡ ወወደየ፡ ሐመደ፡ ዲበ፡ ርእሱ፡ ወበከየ፡ ወገዓረ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኩ፡ በእንተ፡ ዘገብረ፡ እኩየ።

And he cast off his garments and put on sackcloth of hair, and he laid ashes upon his head, and he wept and groaned before the Lord his God because of the evil he had done.

他脫下自己的衣裳，披上粗毛的麻衣，又把爐灰撒在頭上，因所行的惡，在主他的神面前哀哭悲嘆。
