2:1
አስተበቍዐከ ቀዳሜ ኵሉ ትግበር ጸሎተ ወስኢለ ወተጋንዮ።
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men,
我勸你，第一要為萬人懇求、禱告、代求、祝謝；
2:2
ወበእንተዝ ጸልዩ ላዕለ ኵሉ ሰብእ ወላዕለ ኵሉ ነገሥት ወመኳንንት ከመ በህዱእ ወበጽምው ይኩን ንብረትነ በኵሉ ጽድቅ ወንጽሕ።
for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
為君王和一切在位的，也該如此，使我們可以敬虔、端正、平安無事地度日。
2:3
ዝኬ ሠናይ ወኅሩይ በቅድመ እግዚአብሔር መድኀኒነ።
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
這是好的，在上帝我們救主面前可蒙悅納。
2:4
እስመ ውእቱ ይፈቅድ ኵሉ ሰብእ ይሕየው ወያእምርዋ ለጽድቅ።
who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
他願意萬人得救，明白真道。
2:5
አሐዱ እግዚአብሔር ወአሐዱ ኅሩይ ማእከለ እግዚአብሔር ወሰብእ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዘኮነ ሰብአ።
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
因為只有一位上帝，在上帝和人中間，只有一位中保，乃是降世為人的基督耶穌；
2:6
ዘመጠወ ርእሶ ቤዛ ኵሉ ወኮነ ሰማዕተ በዕድሜሁ።
who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time,
他捨自己作萬人的贖價，到了時候，這事必證明出來。
2:7
ዘሎቱ ተሠየምኩ ሐዋርያ ወዐዋዴ እሙነ እብል ወኢይሔሱ ተሠየምኩ መምህረ ለአሕዛብ በሃይማኖት ወበጽድቅ።
to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am telling the truth in Christ, not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
我為此奉派作傳道的，作使徒，作外邦人的師傅，教導他們相信，學習真道。我說的是真話，並不是謊言。
2:8
ወእፈቅድ ለኵሉ ሰብእ ይጸልዩ በኵሉ ገጸ መካን ወያንሥኡ እደዊሆሙ በንጽሕ ዘእንበለ ነጐርጓር ወኑፋቄ።
I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.
我願男人無忿怒，無爭論 ，舉起聖潔的手，隨處禱告；
2:9
ወከማሁ አንስትኒ ይትረሰያ ለጸሎት በፈሪሀ እግዚአብሔር ወበኀፍረት ወበልቡና ወበአንጽሖ ርእሶን እምዝሙት አኮ በሐብላተ ወርቅ ወበባሕርይ ወበአልባስ ቅድው ዘዕፁብ ሤጡ ወአኮ በተጸፍሮ ሥዕርቶን።
In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing,
又願女人廉恥、自守，以正派衣裳為妝飾，不以編髮、黃金、珍珠，和貴價的衣裳為妝飾，
2:10
ዘእንበለ በዘይደልዎን ለአንስት ቀዲሙ አምልኮ እግዚአብሔር በትምህርተ ጽድቅ ወበምግባረ ሠናይ።
but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness.
只要有善行，這才與自稱是敬上帝的女人相宜。
2:11
ብእሲትኒ በጽምው ትትመሀር ወትትአዘዝ በኵሉ የውሀት ወብእሲትሰ ትምሀር ኢናበውሓ ወኢትመብል ላዕለ ብእሲ።
Let a woman learn in quietness with full submission.
女人要沉靜學道，一味地順服。
2:12
ዳእሙ በጽምው ተሀሉ።
But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.
我不許女人講道，也不許她轄管男人，只要沉靜。
2:13
እስመ አዳም ቀደመ ተፈጥሮ ወእምድኅሬሁ ሔዋን።
For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
因為先造的是亞當，後造的是夏娃，
2:14
ወአዳምሰ ኢስሕተ አላ ብእሲት ስሕተት ወዐለወት።
Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;
且不是亞當被引誘，乃是女人被引誘，陷在罪裏。
2:15
ወባሕቱ ተሐዩ በእንተ ውሉዳ ለእመ ነበሩ በሃይማኖት ወበተፋቅሮ ወበቅድሳት ወበአንጽሖ ርእሶሙ በአእምሮ።
but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.
然而，女人若常存信心、愛心，又聖潔自守，就必在生產上得救。
