2:1
ወአንተኒ ወልድየ ጽናዕ በጸጋሁ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
我兒啊，你要在基督耶穌的恩典上剛強起來。
2:2
ወዘሰማዕከ በላዕሌየ በኀበ ብዙኃን ሰማዕት ኪያሁ መሀሮሙ ለመሃይምናን ሰብእ እለ ይደልዎሙ ከመ ይምሀሩ ለባዕዳን።
The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
你在許多見證人面前聽見我所教訓的，也要交託那忠心能教導別人的人。
2:3
ወጻሙ ከመ ኄር መስተጋድል ላእከ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
你要和我同受苦難，好像基督耶穌的精兵。
2:4
እስመ አልቦ ዘይትቃተል ወይኄሊ ንብረተ ዝ ዓለም ዘእንበለ ከመ ያድሉ ለዘሤሞ።
No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
凡在軍中當兵的，不將世務纏身，好叫那招他當兵的人喜悅。
2:5
መስተጋድልኒ ኢይከውኖ ምዝጋና ለእመ በሕጉ ኢተጋደለ።
Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
人若在場上比武，非按規矩，就不能得冠冕。
2:6
ወዘኒ ይጻሙ ሐረሳዊ ግብረ ይቀድም ረኪበ ፍሬሁ።
The farmer who labors must be the first to get a share of the crops.
勞力的農夫理當先得糧食。
2:7
ወለቡ ዘእቤለከ የሀብከ እግዚአብሔር ጥበበ በኵሉ።
Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
我所說的話，你要思想，因為凡事主必給你聰明。
2:8
ተዘከሮ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዘተንሥአ እምዉታን ዘእምዘርዐ ዳዊት ዘመሀርኩ በስሙ።
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,
你要記念耶穌基督乃是大衛的後裔，他從死裏復活，正合乎我所傳的福音。
2:9
ዘበእንቲኣሁ እሰርሕ ወእትሞቃሕ ከመ ጕሕልያ ወባሕቱ ቃለ እግዚአብሔርሰ ኢይትአሰር።
in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.
我為這福音受苦難，甚至被捆綁，像犯人一樣。然而上帝的道卻不被捆綁。
2:10
ወበእንተዝ እትዔገሥ በኵሉ በእንተ ኅሩያኒሁ ከመ እሙንቱሂ ይርከቡ ሕይወተ ዘበኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ወስብሐተ ዘለዓለም ዘበሰማያት።
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
所以，我為選民凡事忍耐，叫他們也可以得着那在基督耶穌裏的救恩和永遠的榮耀。
2:11
እሙን ነገር እምከመ ዐረይነ መዊተ ንዔሪ ሕይወተ።
This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
有可信的話說： 我們若與基督同死，也必與他同活；
2:12
ወእምከመ ዐረይነ ትዕግሥተ ንዔሪ ነጊሠ ወእመሰ ክሕድናሁ ውእቱኒ ይክሕደነ።
If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
我們若能忍耐，也必和他一同作王。 我們若不認他，他也必不認我們；
2:13
ወእመኒ ኢአመናሁ ውእቱሰ ምእመነ ይነብር ወኢይክል ክሒደ ርእሶ።
If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”
我們縱然失信，他仍是可信的， 因為他不能背乎自己。
2:14
ከመዝ ዘክሮሙ ወአስምዕ ቅድመ እግዚአብሔር ወኢትትላኰይ በግብር ዘኢይበቍዕ በዘይትገፈትዑ እለ ይሰምዑ።
Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord that they don’t argue about words to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
你要使眾人回想這些事，在主面前囑咐他們：不可為言語爭辯；這是沒有益處的，只能敗壞聽見的人。
2:15
አስተፋጥን ከመ ትረሲ ርእሰከ ኅሩየ ለኀበ እግዚአብሔር ከመ ገባራዊ ዘኢይትኀፈር ዘርቱዐ ይመትር ቃለ እግዚአብሔር በጽድቅ።
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
你當竭力在上帝面前得蒙喜悅，作無愧的工人，按着正意分解真理的道。
2:16
ወለነገረ ርኩሳንሰ ዘአልቦ ባቍዕ እበዮ እስመ ያአብይዋ ለኀጢአቶሙ።
But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,
但要遠避世俗的虛談，因為這等人必進到更不敬虔的地步。
2:17
ወነገሮሙኒ ከንቱ ከመ ዘይትረአይ ወይልህቅ በብዙኃን እለ ሄሜኔዎስ ወፊሎጦስ።
and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:
他們的話如同毒瘡，越爛越大；其中有許米乃和腓理徒，
2:18
እለ አውከኩ እምጽድቅ ወይብሉ ወድአ ኮነ ትንሣኤ ምዉታን ወይገፈትዑ ሃይማኖቶሙ ለብዙኃን።
men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
他們偏離了真道，說復活的事已過，就敗壞好些人的信心。
2:19
ወዘሰ ጽኑዕ በመሠረተ እግዚአብሔር ይቀውም እንዘ ቦ ዝንቱ ማዕተብ ወየአምሮሙ እግዚአብሔር ለእሊኣሁ ወይርኅቅ እምዐመፃ ኵሉ ዘይሰሚ ስመ እግዚአብሔር።
However, God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
然而，上帝堅固的根基立住了；上面有這印記說：「主認識誰是他的人」；又說：「凡稱呼主名的人總要離開不義。」
2:20
ውስተ ቤትኒ ዐቢይ አኮ ባሕቲቱ ንዋየ ወርቅ ወብሩር ዓዲ ቦ ዘዕፅኒ ወዘልሕኵትኒ ቦ ዘለክብርኒ ወቦ ዘለኀሣርኒ።
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor and some for dishonor.
在大戶人家，不但有金器銀器，也有木器瓦器；有作為貴重的，有作為卑賤的。
2:21
ወእመቦ ዘአንጽሐ ርእሶ እምዝ እኩይ ይከውን ንዋየ ክብር ቅዱሰ ወባቍዐ ለመልእክተ እግዚኡ ወድልወ ለኵሉ ምግባረ ሠናይ።
If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.
人若自潔，脫離卑賤的事，就必作貴重的器皿，成為聖潔，合乎主用，預備行各樣的善事。
2:22
ጕየያ ለፍትወተ ውርዙት ወዴግና ለጽድቅ ወለሃይማኖት ተፋቅሮ ወሰላም ምስለ ኵሎሙ እለ ይጼውዕዎ ለእግዚአብሔር በልብ ንጹሕ።
Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
你要逃避少年的私慾，同那清心禱告主的人追求公義、信德、仁愛、和平。
2:23
እበዮ ለነገረ እበድ፥ ወሥላቅ ወተኃሥሦ ከንቱ ተአምር ከመ መንሱተ ያመጽእ።
But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
惟有那愚拙無學問的辯論，總要棄絕，因為知道這等事是起爭競的。
2:24
ወገብረ እግዚአብሔርሰ ኢይትገዐዝ አላ ከመ ሕፃን የዋሀ ይከውን ምስለ ኵሉ ወመምህረ ወመስተዐግሠ እምኵሉ።
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient,
然而主的僕人不可爭競，只要溫溫和和地待眾人，善於教導，存心忍耐，
2:25
ወይጌሥጽ በየውሀት ለእለ ይትቃረኑ እመቦ ከመ የሀቦሙ እግዚአብሔር ይነስሑ ወያእምርዎ ለጽድቅ።
in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
用溫柔勸戒那抵擋的人；或者上帝給他們悔改的心，可以明白真道，
2:26
ወያንቅሁ ነፍሶሙ እመሥገርተ ሰይጣን እስመ ወድአ አሥገሮሙ ለተሊወ ፈቃዱ።
and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
叫他們這已經被魔鬼任意擄去的，可以醒悟，脫離他的網羅。
