4:1
ስምዑ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እስመ ፡ ይትዋቀሦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
Hear Yahweh’s word, you children of Israel, for Yahweh has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness, nor knowledge of God in the land.
以色列人哪，你們當聽耶和華的話。 耶和華與這地的居民爭辯， 因這地上無誠實， 無良善，無人認識上帝。
4:2
እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ምሕረት ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ሐሰት ፡ ወቀትል ፡ ወስርቅ ፡ ወዝሙት ፡ መልአ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ወይዴምሩ ፡ ደመ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ደም ።
There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed.
但起假誓，不踐前言， 殺害，偷盜，姦淫，行強暴， 殺人流血，接連不斷。
4:3
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ትላሑ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወትውሕድ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኲሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ አራዊተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወምስለ ፡ አዕዋፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወአራዊተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወየኀልቁ ፡ ዓሣተ ፡ ባሕር ።
Therefore the land will mourn, and everyone who dwells in it will waste away, with all living things in her, even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; yes, the fish of the sea also die.
因此，這地悲哀， 其上的民、田野的獸、 空中的鳥必都衰微， 海中的魚也必消滅。
4:4
ወአልቦ ፡ እንከ ፡ መኑሂ ፡ ዘይትዋቀሥ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይዛለፍ ፡ ወኢመኑሂ ፡ ወሕዝብየስ ፡ ካህናት ፡ እለ ፡ ይትዋሥኡ ፡ ኮኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘኢይትዋሥኡ ።
“Yet let no man bring a charge, neither let any man accuse; for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.
然而，人都不必爭辯，也不必指責， 因為這民與抗拒祭司的人一樣。
4:5
ወይደክሙ ፡ በፍኖት ፡ ካህን ፡ ወነቢይ ፡ ወሕዝብ ፡ ኅቡረ ፡ ወትመስል ፡ እምክሙ ፡ ሌሊተ ።
You will stumble in the day, and the prophet will also stumble with you in the night; and I will destroy your mother.
你這祭司必日間跌倒； 先知也必夜間與你一同跌倒； 我必滅絕你的母親。
4:6
ወይመስሉ ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ልብ ፡ እስመ ፡ ለከሂ ፡ ኀደገከ ፡ ልብከ ፡ ወአነሂ ፡ ኀደጉከ ፡ ኢትሡዕ ፡ ሊተ ፡ እስመ ፡ ረሳዕከ ፡ ሕገ ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወአነሂ ፡ እረስዖሙ ፡ ለደቂቅከ ።
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.
我的民因無知識而滅亡。 你棄掉知識， 我也必棄掉你， 使你不再給我作祭司。 你既忘了你上帝的律法， 我也必忘記你的兒女。
4:7
በከመ ፡ ብዝኆሙ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ አበሱ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ወእሬስዮ ፡ ኀሳረ ፡ ለክብሮሙ ።
As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame.
祭司越發增多，就越發得罪我； 我必使他們的榮耀變為羞辱。
4:8
ወትበልዖሙ ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ወይነሥእዋ ፡ ለነፍሶሙ ፡ በጌጋዩሙ ።
They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.
他們吃我民的贖罪祭， 滿心願意我民犯罪。
4:9
ወይከውን ፡ በከመ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ካህን ፡ ወእትቤቀሎሙ ፡ በፍኖቶሙ ፡ ወእትፈደዮሙ ፡ በከመ ፡ ምግባሮሙ ።
It will be like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.
將來民如何， 祭司也必如何； 我必因他們所行的懲罰他們， 照他們所做的報應他們。
4:10
ይበልዑ ፡ ወኢይጸግቡ ፡ ይዜምዉ ፡ ወኢይፈደፍዱ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኀደግዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኮሙ ፡ ይዕቀቡ ፡ ዝሙተ ፡ ወስታየ ፡ ወስካረ ።
They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned listening to Yahweh.
他們吃，卻不得飽； 行淫，而不得立後； 因為他們離棄耶和華， 不遵他的命。
4:11
እስመ ፡ አፍቀረ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ሰገለ ፡ ይስአል ፡ ወበትሩ ፡ ይሰጠዎ ፡ ወበመንፈሰ ፡ ዝሙት ፡ ስሕቱ ፡ ወዘመዉ ፡ እምአምላኮሙ ።
Prostitution, wine, and new wine take away understanding.
姦淫和酒，並新酒， 奪去人的心。
4:13
ወይሠውዑ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባር ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አውግር ፡ ወይዘብሑ ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ባሉጥ ፡ ወቡጥም ፡ ወገውዝ ፡ ወለውዝ ፡ ወታሕተ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ዘሠናይ ፡ ጽላሎቱ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይዜምዋ ፡ አዋልዲክሙ ፡ ወይትመሐዛ ፡ መራዕዊክሙ ።
They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks, poplars, and terebinths, because its shade is good. Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, and your brides commit adultery.
在各山頂，各高岡的橡樹、 楊樹、栗樹之下，獻祭燒香， 因為樹影美好。 所以，你們的女兒淫亂， 你們的新婦 行淫。
4:14
ወኢገሠጽክዎን ፡ ለአዋልዲክሙ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ዘመዋ ፡ ወኢ ፡ ለመራዕዊክሙ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ተመሐዘዋ ። እስመ ፡ ተደመሩ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ዘማውያን ፡ ወሦዑ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሕጉላን ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወሕዝብ ፡ ዘይሌቡ ፡ ተደመረ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ዘኢይሌቡ ።
I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin.
你們的女兒淫亂， 你們的新婦行淫， 我卻不懲罰她們； 因為你們自己離群與娼妓同居， 與妓女一同獻祭。 這無知的民必致傾倒。
4:15
ወአንተኒ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኢትእበድ ፡ ወአንተኒ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ኢትሑር ፡ ገልገላ ። ወኢትዕርግ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አዎን ፡ ወኢትምሐል ፡ በሐሰት ፡ በስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሕያው ።
“Though you, Israel, play the prostitute, yet don’t let Judah offend; and don’t come to Gilgal, neither go up to Beth Aven, nor swear, ‘As Yahweh lives.’
以色列啊，你雖然行淫， 猶大卻不可犯罪。 不要往吉甲去， 不要上到伯‧亞文， 也不要指着永生的耶和華起誓。
4:16
እስመ ፡ ከመ ፡ እጐልት ፡ እንተ ፡ ተሀረብድ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ሀርበደ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ወናሁ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ይሬዕዮሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፂኦት ።
For Israel has behaved extremely stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer. Then how will Yahweh feed them like a lamb in a meadow?
以色列倔強， 猶如倔強的母牛； 現在耶和華要放他們， 如同放羊羔在寬闊之地。
4:17
ከማሁ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ አፍቀረ ፡ ጣዖተ ፡ ወሤመ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ዕቅፍተ ።
Ephraim is joined to idols. Leave him alone!
以法蓮親近偶像， 任憑他吧！
4:18
ወአብደሮሙ ፡ ለከናኔዎን ፡ ዘምዎ ፡ ዘመዉ ፡ ወአብደሩ ፡ ኀሳረ ፡ በእከዮሙ ።
Their drink has become sour. They play the prostitute continually. Her rulers dearly love their shameful way.
他們所喝的已經發酸， 他們時常行淫， 他們的官長最愛羞恥的事。
4:19
ወበዕልወተ ፡ ነፍሶሙ ፡ እንተ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ መንፈሰ ፡ ዝሙት ፡ ወይትኀፈሩ ፡ በምሥዋዓቲሆሙ ።
The wind has wrapped her up in its wings; and they shall be disappointed because of their sacrifices.
風把他們裹在翅膀裏； 他們因所獻的祭必致蒙羞。
