yea, upon thee also shall come the cup of the Lord, and thou shalt drink, and be drunken, and shalt pour out.'

of those who say, 'Rase it, rase it, even to the foundations thereof.' For though they were brethren and neighbours, they would not be at peace, but preserved the ancestral hatred.

「錫安的女子啊,你的罪孽已受了刑罰;

To Zion he proclaimed good things, but the opposite to Idumea;
他向錫安宣告美善之事,卻向以東宣告相反的事;
1:3447⧉ ⤴︎

True also is the saying, 'He will no more carry thee away into captivity.' For those who had enslaved them were utterly destroyed, and came under the dominion of the Persians.

For being men, and falling short of perfection, we have contributed our own zeal, providing some benefit to those who love God and love labour; whom we entreat to render, in return for the toil of this interpretation, the aid of their prayer;
因我們既是人,又未臻完全,只是獻上我們自己的熱忱,為那些愛神又愛勞苦的人謀求些許益處;我們懇求他們,為著這番詮釋的辛勞,以他們的禱告作為回報的幫助;

that, being upheld by it, we may accomplish what remains of life, serving in deeds and words and thoughts our God and Saviour and Lord, with whom, to the Father, together with the all-holy Spirit, belong glory and majesty, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.
