18:1
Post haec egressus ab Athenis, venit Corinthum :
After these things Paul departed from Athens and came to Corinth.
這事以後,保羅離了雅典,來到哥林多。
18:2
et inveniens quemdam Judaeum nomine Aquilam, Ponticum genere, qui nuper venerat ab Italia, et Priscillam uxorem ejus (eo quod praecepisset Claudius discedere omnes Judaeos a Roma), accessit ad eos.
He found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by race, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome. He came to them,
遇見一個猶太人,名叫亞居拉,他生在本都;因為克勞第命猶太人都離開羅馬,新近帶着妻百基拉,從意大利來。保羅就投奔了他們。
18:3
Et quia ejusdem erat artis, manebat apud eos, et operabatur. (Erant autem scenofactoriae artis.)
and because he practiced the same trade, he lived with them and worked, for by trade they were tent makers.
他們本是製造帳棚為業。保羅因與他們同業,就和他們同住做工。
18:4
Et disputabat in synagoga per omne sabbatum, interponens nomen Domini Jesu : suadebatque Judaeis et Graecis.
He reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath and persuaded Jews and Greeks.
每逢安息日,保羅在會堂裏辯論,勸化猶太人和希臘人。
18:5
Cum venissent autem de Macedonia Silas et Timotheus, instabat verbo Paulus, testificans Judaeis esse Christum Jesum.
When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
西拉和提摩太從馬其頓來的時候,保羅為道迫切,向猶太人證明耶穌是基督。
18:6
Contradicentibus autem eis, et blasphemantibus, excutiens vestimenta sua, dixit ad eos : Sanguis vester super caput vestrum : mundus ego : ex hoc ad gentes vadam.
When they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook out his clothing and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on, I will go to the Gentiles!”
他們既抗拒、毀謗,保羅就抖着衣裳,說:「你們的罪 歸到你們自己頭上,與我無干 。從今以後,我要往外邦人那裏去。」
18:7
Et migrans inde, intravit in domum cujusdam, nomine Titi Justi, colentis Deum, cujus domus erat conjuncta synagogae.
He departed there and went into the house of a certain man named Justus, one who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.
於是離開那裏,到了一個人的家中;這人名叫提多‧猶士都,是敬拜上帝的,他的家靠近會堂。
18:8
Crispus autem archisynagogus credidit Domino cum omni domo sua : et multi Corinthiorum audientes credebant, et baptizabantur.
Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house. Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized.
管會堂的基利司布和全家都信了主,還有許多哥林多人聽了,就相信受洗。
18:9
Dixit autem Dominus nocte per visionem Paulo : Noli timere, sed loquere, et ne taceas :
The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, “Don’t be afraid, but speak and don’t be silent;
夜間,主在異象中對保羅說:「不要怕,只管講,不要閉口,
18:10
propter quod ego sum tecum, et nemo apponetur tibi ut noceat te : quoniam populus est mihi multus in hac civitate.
for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”
有我與你同在,必沒有人下手害你,因為在這城裏我有許多的百姓。」
18:11
Sedit autem ibi annum et sex menses, docens apud eos verbum Dei.
He lived there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
保羅在那裏住了一年零六個月,將上帝的道教訓他們。
18:12
Gallione autem proconsule Achaiae, insurrexerunt uno animo Judaei in Paulum, et adduxerunt eum ad tribunal,
But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him before the judgment seat,
到迦流作亞該亞方伯的時候,猶太人同心起來攻擊保羅,拉他到公堂,
18:13
dicentes : Quia contra legem hic persuadet hominibus colere Deum.
saying, “This man persuades men to worship God contrary to the law.”
說:「這個人勸人不按着律法敬拜上帝。」
18:14
Incipiente autem Paulo aperire os, dixit Gallio ad Judaeos : Si quidem esset iniquum aliquid aut facinus pessimum, o viri Judaei, recte vos sustinerem.
But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If indeed it were a matter of wrong or of wicked crime, you Jews, it would be reasonable that I should bear with you;
保羅剛要開口,迦流就對猶太人說:「你們這些猶太人!如果是為冤枉或奸惡的事,我理當耐性聽你們。
18:15
Si vero quaestiones sunt de verbo, et nominibus, et lege vestra, vos ipsi videritis : judex ego horum nolo esse.
but if they are questions about words and names and your own law, look to it yourselves. For I don’t want to be a judge of these matters.”
但所爭論的,若是關乎言語、名目,和你們的律法,你們自己去辦吧!這樣的事我不願意審問」;
18:16
Et minavit eos a tribunali.
So he drove them from the judgment seat.
就把他們攆出公堂。
18:17
Apprehendentes autem omnes Sosthenem principem synagogae, percutiebant eum ante tribunal : et nihil eorum Gallioni curae erat.
Then all the Greeks seized Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. Gallio didn’t care about any of these things.
眾人便揪住管會堂的所提尼,在堂前打他。這些事迦流都不管。
18:18
Paulus vero cum adhuc sustinuisset dies multos fratribus valefaciens, navigavit in Syriam (et cum eo Priscilla et Aquila), qui sibi totonderat in Cenchris caput : habebat enim votum.
Paul, having stayed after this many more days, took his leave of the brothers, and sailed from there for Syria, together with Priscilla and Aquila. He shaved his head in Cenchreae, for he had a vow.
保羅又住了多日,就辭別了弟兄,坐船往敘利亞去;百基拉、亞居拉和他同去。他因為許過願,就在堅革哩剪了頭髮。
18:19
Devenitque Ephesum, et illos ibi reliquit. Ipse vero ingressus synagogam, disputabat cum Judaeis.
He came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself entered into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.
到了以弗所,保羅就把他們留在那裏,自己進了會堂,和猶太人辯論。
18:20
Rogantibus autem eis ut ampliori tempore maneret, non consensit,
When they asked him to stay with them a longer time, he declined;
眾人請他多住些日子,他卻不允,
18:21
sed valefaciens, et dicens : Iterum revertar ad vos, Deo volente : profectus est ab Epheso.
but taking his leave of them, he said, “I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem, but I will return again to you if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.
就辭別他們,說:「上帝若許我,我還要回到你們這裏」;於是開船離了以弗所。
18:22
Et descendens Caesaream, ascendit, et salutavit ecclesiam, et descendit Antiochiam.
When he had landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the assembly, and went down to Antioch.
在凱撒利亞下了船,就上耶路撒冷去問教會安,隨後下安提阿去。
18:23
Et facto ibi aliquanto tempore profectus est, perambulans ex ordine Galaticam regionem, et Phrygiam, confirmans omnes discipulos.
Having spent some time there, he departed and went through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, in order, establishing all the disciples.
住了些日子,又離開那裏,挨次經過加拉太和弗呂家地方,堅固眾門徒。
18:24
Judaeus autem quidam, Apollo nomine, Alexandrinus genere, vir eloquens, devenit Ephesum, potens in scripturis.
Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by race, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus. He was mighty in the Scriptures.
有一個猶太人,名叫亞波羅,來到以弗所。他生在亞歷山大,是有學問 的,最能講解聖經。
18:25
Hic erat edoctus viam Domini : et fervens spiritu loquebatur, et docebat diligenter ea quae sunt Jesu, sciens tantum baptisma Joannis.
This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, although he knew only the baptism of John.
這人已經在主的道上受了教訓,心裏火熱,將耶穌的事詳細講論教訓人;只是他單曉得約翰的洗禮。
18:26
Hic ergo coepit fiducialiter agere in synagoga. Quem cum audissent Priscilla et Aquila, assumpserunt eum, et diligentius exposuerunt ei viam Domini.
He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside, and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
他在會堂裏放膽講道;百基拉、亞居拉聽見,就接他來,將上帝的道給他講解更加詳細。
18:27
Cum autem vellet ire Achaiam, exhortati fratres, scripserunt discipulis ut susciperent eum. Qui cum venisset, contulit multum his qui crediderant.
When he had determined to pass over into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him; and wrote to the disciples to receive him. When he had come, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace;
他想要往亞該亞去,弟兄們就勉勵他,並寫信請門徒接待他 。他到了那裏,多幫助那蒙恩信主的人,
18:28
Vehementer enim Judaeos revincebat publice, ostendens per Scripturas esse Christum Jesum.
for he powerfully refuted the Jews, publicly showing by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
在眾人面前極有能力駁倒猶太人,引聖經證明耶穌是基督。
