28:1
Et cum evasissemus, tunc cognovimus quia Melita insula vocabatur. Barbari vero praestabant non modicam humanitatem nobis.
When we had escaped, then they learned that the island was called Malta.
我們既已得救，才知道那島名叫馬耳他。
28:2
Accensa enim pyra, reficiebant nos omnes propter imbrem qui imminebat, et frigus.
The natives showed us uncommon kindness; for they kindled a fire and received us all, because of the present rain and because of the cold.
土人看待我們，有非常的情分；因為當時下雨，天氣又冷，就生火接待我們眾人。
28:3
Cum congregasset autem Paulus sarmentorum aliquantam multitudinem, et imposuisset super ignem, vipera a calore cum processisset, invasit manum ejus.
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand.
那時，保羅拾起一捆柴，放在火上，有一條毒蛇，因為熱了出來，咬住他的手。
28:4
Ut vero viderunt barbari pendentem bestiam de manu ejus, ad invicem dicebant : Utique homicida est homo hic, qui cum evaserit de mari, ultio non sinit eum vivere.
When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped from the sea, yet Justice has not allowed to live.”
土人看見那毒蛇懸在他手上，就彼此說：「這人必是個兇手，雖然從海裏救上來，天理還不容他活着。」
28:5
Et ille quidem excutiens bestiam in ignem, nihil mali passus est.
However he shook off the creature into the fire, and wasn’t harmed.
保羅竟把那毒蛇甩在火裏，並沒有受傷。
28:6
At illi existimabant eum in tumorem convertendum, et subito casurum et mori. Diu autem illis exspectantibus, et videntibus nihil mali in eo fieri, convertentes se, dicebant eum esse deum.
But they expected that he would have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but when they watched for a long time and saw nothing bad happen to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.
土人想他必要腫起來，或是忽然仆倒死了；看了多時，見他無害，就轉念，說：「他是個神。」
28:7
In locis autem illis erant praedia principis insulae, nomine Publii, qui nos suscipiens, triduo benigne exhibuit.
Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us and courteously entertained us for three days.
離那地方不遠，有田產是島長部百流的；他接納我們，盡情款待三日。
28:8
Contigit autem patrem Publii febribus et dysenteria vexatum jacere. Ad quem Paulus intravit : et cum orasset, et imposuisset ei manus, salvavit eum.
The father of Publius lay sick of fever and dysentery. Paul entered in to him, prayed, and laying his hands on him, healed him.
當時，部百流的父親患熱病和痢疾躺着。保羅進去，為他禱告，按手在他身上，治好了他。
28:9
Quo facto, omnes qui in insula habebant infirmitates, accedebant, et curabantur :
Then when this was done, the rest also who had diseases in the island came and were cured.
從此，島上其餘的病人也來，得了醫治。
28:10
qui etiam multis honoribus nos honoraverunt, et navigantibus imposuerunt quae necessaria erant.
They also honored us with many honors; and when we sailed, they put on board the things that we needed.
他們又多方地尊敬我們；到了開船的時候，也把我們所需用的送到船上。
28:11
Post menses autem tres navigavimus in navi Alexandrina, quae in insula hiemaverat, cui erat insigne Castorum.
After three months, we set sail in a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in the island, whose figurehead was “The Twin Brothers.”
過了三個月，我們上了亞歷山大的船往前行；這船以「宙斯雙子」為記，是在那海島過了冬的。
28:12
Et cum venissemus Syracusam, mansimus ibi triduo.
Touching at Syracuse, we stayed there three days.
到了敘拉古，我們停泊三日；
28:13
Inde circumlegentes devenimus Rhegium : et post unum diem, flante austro, secunda die venimus Puteolos :
From there we circled around and arrived at Rhegium. After one day, a south wind sprang up, and on the second day we came to Puteoli,
又從那裏繞行，來到利基翁。過了一天，起了南風，第二天就來到部丟利。
28:14
ubi inventis fratribus rogati sumus manere apud eos dies septem : et sic venimus Romam.
where we found brothers, and were entreated to stay with them for seven days. So we came to Rome.
在那裏遇見弟兄們，請我們與他們同住了七天。這樣，我們來到羅馬。
28:15
Et inde cum audissent fratres, occurrerunt nobis usque ad Appii forum, ac tres Tabernas. Quos cum vidisset Paulus, gratias agens Deo, accepit fiduciam.
From there the brothers, when they heard of us, came to meet us as far as The Market of Appius and The Three Taverns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.
那裏的弟兄們一聽見我們的信息就出來，到亞比烏市和三館 地方迎接我們。保羅見了他們，就感謝上帝，放心壯膽。
28:16
Cum autem venissemus Romam, permissum est Paulo manere sibimet cum custodiente se milite.
When we entered into Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard, but Paul was allowed to stay by himself with the soldier who guarded him.
進了羅馬城， 保羅蒙准和一個看守他的兵另住在一處。
28:17
Post tertium autem diem convocavit primos Judaeorum. Cumque convenissent, dicebat eis : Ego, viri fratres, nihil adversus plebem faciens, aut morem paternum, vinctus ab Jerosolymis traditus sum in manus Romanorum,
After three days Paul called together those who were the leaders of the Jews. When they had come together, he said to them, “I, brothers, though I had done nothing against the people or the customs of our fathers, still was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,
過了三天，保羅請猶太人的首領來。他們來了，就對他們說：「弟兄們，我雖沒有做甚麼事干犯本國的百姓和我們祖宗的規條，卻被鎖綁，從耶路撒冷解在羅馬人的手裏。
28:18
qui cum interrogationem de me habuissent, voluerunt me dimittere, eo quod nulla esset causa mortis in me.
who, when they had examined me, desired to set me free, because there was no cause of death in me.
他們審問了我，就願意釋放我；因為在我身上，並沒有該死的罪。
28:19
Contradicentibus autem Judaeis, coactus sum appellare Caesarem, non quasi gentem meam habens aliquid accusare.
But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything about which to accuse my nation.
無奈猶太人不服，我不得已，只好上告於凱撒，並非有甚麼事要控告我本國的百姓。
28:20
Propter hanc igitur causam rogavi vos videre, et alloqui. Propter spem enim Israël catena hac circumdatus sum.
For this cause therefore I asked to see you and to speak with you. For because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.”
因此，我請你們來見面說話，我原為以色列人所指望的，被這鍊子捆鎖。」
28:21
At illi dixerunt ad eum : Nos neque litteras accepimus de te a Judaea, neque adveniens aliquis fratrum nuntiavit, aut locutus est quid de te malum.
They said to him, “We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor did any of the brothers come here and report or speak any evil of you.
他們說：「我們並沒有接着從猶太來論你的信，也沒有弟兄到這裏來報給我們說你有甚麼不好處。
28:22
Rogamus autem a te audire quae sentis : nam de secta hac notum est nobis quia ubique ei contradicitur.
But we desire to hear from you what you think. For, as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.”
但我們願意聽你的意見如何；因為這教門，我們曉得是到處被毀謗的。」
28:23
Cum constituissent autem illi diem, venerunt ad eum in hospitium plurimi, quibus exponebat testificans regnum Dei, suadensque eis de Jesu ex lege Moysi et prophetis a mane usque ad vesperam.
When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about God’s Kingdom, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.
他們和保羅約定了日子，就有許多人到他的寓處來。保羅從早到晚，對他們講論這事，證明上帝國的道，引摩西的律法和先知的書，以耶穌的事勸勉他們。
28:24
Et quidam credebant his quae dicebantur : quidam vero non credebant.
Some believed the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.
他所說的話，有信的，有不信的。
28:25
Cumque invicem non essent consentientes, discedebant, dicente Paulo unum verbum : Quia bene Spiritus Sanctus locutus est per Isaiam prophetam ad patres nostros,
When they didn’t agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one message: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
他們彼此不合，就散了；未散以先，保羅說了一句話，說：「聖靈藉先知以賽亞向你們祖宗所說的話是不錯的。
28:26
dicens : Vade ad populum istum, et dic ad eos : Aure audietis, et non intelligetis, et videntes videbitis, et non perspicietis.
saying, ‘Go to this people and say, in hearing, you will hear, but will in no way understand. In seeing, you will see, but will in no way perceive.
他說： 你去告訴這百姓說： 你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白； 看是要看見，卻不曉得；
28:27
Incrassatum est enim cor populi hujus, et auribus graviter audierunt, et oculos suos compresserunt : ne forte videant oculis, et auribus audiant, et corde intelligant, et convertantur, et sanem eos.
For this people’s heart has grown callous. Their ears are dull of hearing. Their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, then I would heal them.’
因為這百姓油蒙了心， 耳朵發沉， 眼睛閉着； 恐怕眼睛看見， 耳朵聽見， 心裏明白，回轉過來， 我就醫治他們。
28:28
Notum ergo sit vobis, quoniam gentibus missum est hoc salutare Dei, et ipsi audient.
“Be it known therefore to you that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”
所以你們當知道，上帝這救恩，如今傳給外邦人，他們也必聽受。」
28:29
Et cum haec dixisset, exierunt ab eo Judaei, multam habentes inter se quaestionem.
When he had said these words, the Jews departed, having a great dispute among themselves.
所以你們當知道，上帝這救恩，如今傳給外邦人，他們也必聽受。」
28:30
Mansit autem biennio toto in suo conducto : et suscipiebat omnes qui ingrediebantur ad eum,
Paul stayed two whole years in his own rented house and received all who were coming to him,
保羅在自己所租的房子裏住了足足兩年。凡來見他的人，他全都接待，
28:31
praedicans regnum Dei, et docens quae sunt de Domino Jesu Christo cum omni fiducia, sine prohibitione.
preaching God’s Kingdom and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, without hindrance.
放膽傳講上帝國的道，將主耶穌基督的事教導人，並沒有人禁止。
