20:1
Locutusque est Dominus cunctos sermones hos :
God spoke all these words, saying,
上帝吩咐這一切的話說：
20:2
Ego sum Dominus Deus tuus , qui eduxi te de terra Aegypti , de domo servitutis .
“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
「我是耶和華－你的上帝，曾將你從埃及地為奴之家領出來。
20:3
Non habebis deos alienos coram me .
“You shall have no other gods before me.
「除了我以外，你不可有別的神。
20:4
Non facies tibi sculptile , neque omnem similitudinem quae est in caelo desuper , et quae in terra deorsum , nec eorum quae sunt in aquis sub terra .
“You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
「不可為自己雕刻偶像，也不可做甚麼形像彷彿上天、下地，和地底下、水中的百物。
20:5
Non adorabis ea , neque coles : ego sum Dominus Deus tuus fortis , zelotes , visitans iniquitatem patrum in filios , in tertiam et quartam generationem eorum qui oderunt me :
you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,
不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它，因為我耶和華－你的上帝是忌邪的上帝。恨我的，我必追討他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代；
20:6
et faciens misericordiam in millia his qui diligunt me , et custodiunt praecepta mea .
and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
愛我、守我誡命的，我必向他們發慈愛，直到千代。
20:7
Non assumes nomen Domini Dei tui in vanum : nec enim habebit insontem Dominus eum qui assumpserit nomen Domini Dei sui frustra .
“You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your God, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.
「不可妄稱耶和華－你上帝的名；因為妄稱耶和華名的，耶和華必不以他為無罪。
20:8
Memento ut diem sabbati sanctifices .
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
「當記念安息日，守為聖日。
20:9
Sex diebus operaberis , et facies omnia opera tua .
You shall labor six days, and do all your work,
六日要勞碌做你一切的工，
20:10
Septimo autem die sabbatum Domini Dei tui est : non facies omne opus in eo , tu , et filius tuus et filia tua , servus tuus et ancilla tua , jumentum tuum , et advena qui est intra portas tuas .
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;
但第七日是向耶和華－你上帝當守的安息日。這一日你和你的兒女、僕婢、牲畜，並你城裏寄居的客旅，無論何工都不可做；
20:11
Sex enim diebus fecit Dominus caelum et terram , et mare , et omnia quae in eis sunt , et requievit in die septimo : idcirco benedixit Dominus diei sabbati , et sanctificavit eum .
for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.
因為六日之內，耶和華造天、地、海，和其中的萬物，第七日便安息，所以耶和華賜福與安息日，定為聖日。
20:12
Honora patrem tuum et matrem tuam , ut sis longaevus super terram , quam Dominus Deus tuus dabit tibi .
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
「當孝敬父母，使你的日子在耶和華－你上帝所賜你的地上得以長久。
20:13
Non occides .
“You shall not murder.
「不可殺人。
20:14
Non moechaberis .
“You shall not commit adultery.
「不可姦淫。
20:15
Non furtum facies .
“You shall not steal.
「不可偷盜。
20:16
Non loqueris contra proximum tuum falsum testimonium .
“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
「不可作假見證陷害人。
20:17
Non concupisces domum proximi tui , nec desiderabis uxorem ejus , non servum , non ancillam , non bovem , non asinum , nec omnia quae illius sunt .
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
「不可貪戀人的房屋；也不可貪戀人的妻子、僕婢、牛驢，並他一切所有的。」
20:18
Cunctus autem populus videbat voces et lampades , et sonitum buccinae , montemque fumantem : et perterriti ac pavore concussi , steterunt procul ,
All the people perceived the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.
眾百姓見雷轟、閃電、角聲、山上冒煙，就都發顫，遠遠地站立，
20:19
dicentes Moysi : Loquere tu nobis , et audiemus : non loquatur nobis Dominus , ne forte moriamur .
They said to Moses, “Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”
對摩西說：「求你和我們說話，我們必聽；不要上帝和我們說話，恐怕我們死亡。」
20:20
Et ait Moyses ad populum : Nolite timere : ut enim probaret vos venit Deus , et ut terror illius esset in vobis , et non peccaretis .
Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won’t sin.”
摩西對百姓說：「不要懼怕；因為上帝降臨是要試驗你們，叫你們時常敬畏他，不致犯罪。」
20:21
Stetitque populus de longe . Moyses autem accessit ad caliginem in qua erat Deus .
The people stayed at a distance, and Moses came near to the thick darkness where God was.
於是百姓遠遠地站立；摩西就挨近上帝所在的幽暗之中。
20:22
Dixit praeterea Dominus ad Moysen : Haec dices filiis Israël : Vos vidistis quod de caelo locutus sim vobis .
Yahweh said to Moses, “This is what you shall tell the children of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
耶和華對摩西說：「你要向以色列人這樣說：『你們自己看見我從天上和你們說話了。
20:23
Non facietis deos argenteos , nec deos aureos facietis vobis .
You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
你們不可做甚麼神像與我相配，不可為自己做金銀的神像。
20:24
Altare de terra facietis mihi , et offeretis super eo holocausta et pacifica vestra , oves vestras et boves in omni loco in quo memoria fuerit nominis mei : veniam ad te , et benedicam tibi .
You shall make an altar of earth for me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.
你要為我築土壇，在上面以牛羊獻為燔祭和平安祭。凡記下我名的地方，我必到那裏賜福給你。
20:25
Quod si altare lapideum feceris mihi , non aedificabis illud de sectis lapidibus : si enim levaveris cultrum super eo , polluetur .
If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stones; for if you lift up your tool on it, you have polluted it.
你若為我築一座石壇，不可用鑿成的石頭，因你在上頭一動家具，就把壇污穢了。
20:26
Non ascendes per gradus ad altare meum , ne reveletur turpitudo tua .
You shall not go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed to it.’
你上我的壇，不可用臺階，免得露出你的下體來。』」
