5:1
Recordare, Domine, quid acciderit nobis ; intuere et respice opprobrium nostrum.
Remember, Yahweh, what has come on us. Look, and see our reproach.
耶和華啊,求你記念我們所遭遇的事, 觀看我們所受的凌辱。
5:2
Haereditas nostra versa est ad alienos, domus nostrae ad extraneos.
Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our houses to aliens.
我們的產業歸與外邦人; 我們的房屋歸與外路人。
5:3
Pupilli facti sumus absque patre, matres nostrae quasi viduae.
We are orphans and fatherless. Our mothers are as widows.
我們是無父的孤兒; 我們的母親好像寡婦。
5:4
Aquam nostram pecunia bibimus ; ligna nostra pretio comparavimus.
We must pay for water to drink. Our wood is sold to us.
我們出錢才得水喝; 我們的柴是人賣給我們的。

Cervicibus nostris minabamur, lassis non dabatur requies.
Our pursuers are on our necks. We are weary, and have no rest.
追趕我們的,到了我們的頸項上; 我們疲乏不得歇息。

Aegypto dedimus manum et Assyriis, ut saturaremur pane.
We have given our hands to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
我們投降埃及人和亞述人, 為要得糧吃飽。

Patres nostri peccaverunt, et non sunt : et nos iniquitates eorum portavimus.
Our fathers sinned, and are no more. We have borne their iniquities.
我們列祖犯罪,而今不在了; 我們擔當他們的罪孽。

Servi dominati sunt nostri : non fuit qui redimeret de manu eorum.
Servants rule over us. There is no one to deliver us out of their hand.
奴僕轄制我們, 無人救我們脫離他們的手。

In animabus nostris afferebamus panem nobis, a facie gladii in deserto.
We get our bread at the peril of our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.
因為曠野的刀劍, 我們冒着險才得糧食。

Pellis nostra quasi clibanus exusta est, a facie tempestatum famis.
Our skin is black like an oven, because of the burning heat of famine.
因飢餓燥熱, 我們的皮膚就黑如爐。

Mulieres in Sion humiliaverunt, et virgines in civitatibus Juda.
They ravished the women in Zion, the virgins in the cities of Judah.
敵人在錫安玷污婦人, 在猶大的城邑玷污處女。

Principes manu suspensi sunt ; facies senum non erubuerunt.
Princes were hanged up by their hands. The faces of elders were not honored.
他們吊起首領的手, 也不尊敬老人的面。

Adolescentibus impudice abusi sunt, et pueri in ligno corruerunt.
The young men carry millstones. The children stumbled under loads of wood.
少年人扛磨石, 孩童背木柴,都絆跌了。
5:14
Senes defecerunt de portis, juvenes de choro psallentium.
The elders have ceased from the gate, and the young men from their music.
老年人在城門口斷絕; 少年人不再作樂。
5:15
Defecit gaudium cordis nostri ; versus est in luctum chorus noster.
The joy of our heart has ceased. Our dance is turned into mourning.
我們心中的快樂止息, 跳舞變為悲哀。
5:16
Cecidit corona capitis nostri : vae nobis, quia peccavimus !
The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!
冠冕從我們的頭上落下; 我們犯罪了,我們有禍了!

Propterea moestum factum est cor nostrum ; ideo contenebrati sunt oculi nostri,
For this our heart is faint. For these things our eyes are dim:
這些事我們心裏發昏, 我們的眼睛昏花。

propter montem Sion quia disperiit ; vulpes ambulaverunt in eo.
for the mountain of Zion, which is desolate. The foxes walk on it.
錫安山荒涼, 野狗 行在其上。

Tu autem, Domine, in aeternum permanebis, solium tuum in generationem et generationem.
You, Yahweh, remain forever. Your throne is from generation to generation.
耶和華啊,你存到永遠; 你的寶座存到萬代。
5:20
Quare in perpetuum oblivisceris nostri, derelinques nos in longitudine dierum ?
Why do you forget us forever, and forsake us for so long a time?
你為何永遠忘記我們? 為何許久離棄我們?
5:21
Converte nos, Domine, ad te, et convertemur ; innova dies nostros, sicut a principio.
Turn us to yourself, Yahweh, and we will be turned. Renew our days as of old.
耶和華啊,求你使我們向你回轉, 我們便得回轉。 求你復新我們的日子,像古時一樣。
5:22
Sed projiciens repulisti nos : iratus es contra nos vehementer.
But you have utterly rejected us. You are very angry against us.
你竟全然棄絕我們, 向我們大發烈怒?
