Electus Christo locus est, ubi corda probata prouehat ad caelum sanguine, purget aqua. Hic duo purpureum domini pro nomine caesi martyrium pulchra morte tulere uiri. Hic etiam liquido fluit indulgentia fonte ac ueteres maculas diluit amne nouo. Qui cupit aeternum caeli conscendere regnum, huc ueniat sitiens, ecce parata uia est. Ante coronati scandebant ardua testes atria, nunc lotae celsa petunt animae. Spiritus aeterno solitus descendere lapsu, ut dederat palmam, sic tribuit ueniam. Haurit terra sacros aut fonte aut sanguine rores exundatque suo iugiter uda deo. Ipse loci est dominus, laterum cui uulnere utroque hinc cruor effusus fluxit et inde latex.
A place is chosen by Christ, where he may carry proven hearts to heaven by blood, and cleanse them by water. Here two men, slain for the name of the Lord, bore a crimson martyrdom by a beautiful death. Here too indulgence flows from a liquid fountain, and washes away old stains with a new stream. Whoever desires to ascend the eternal kingdom of heaven, let him come hither thirsting—behold, the way is prepared. Before, the crowned witnesses climbed the steep courts; now the washed souls seek the heights. The Spirit, wont to descend in an eternal gliding, just as it had given the palm, so it grants pardon. The earth drinks the sacred dews, whether from fount or from blood, and overflows, perpetually wet with its own God. He himself is the Lord of the place, from whose wound on both sides blood flowed forth here and water there.

Ibitis hinc, ut quisque potest, per uulnera Christi euectus gladiis alter et alter aquis.
From here you shall go, each as he is able, through the wounds of Christ—one borne up by the sword, the other by the waters.
從這裡你們將要前去，各人按著自己所能的，藉著基督的傷痕——一人被刀劍托起，另一人被眾水托起。
