📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Any man of the sons of Israel or of the proselytes residing among you who slaughters a calf or a sheep or a goat in the camp, or who slaughters it outside the camp,
and does not bring it to the door of the tent of witness so as to make it a whole burnt offering or a peace offering to the Lord, acceptable for a fragrant aroma; and whoever slaughters it outside and does not bring it to the door of the tent of witness so as to present a gift to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord, blood shall be reckoned to that man: he has shed blood; that soul shall be utterly destroyed from among its people.
so that the sons of Israel may bring up their sacrifices, as many as they themselves slaughter in the fields, and bring them to the Lord to the doors of the tent of witness, to the priest, and sacrifice them as a peace offering to the Lord.
And the priest shall pour the blood around upon the altar before the Lord by the doors of the tent of witness, and he shall offer up the fat for a fragrant aroma to the Lord.
And they shall no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the vain things, after which they go whoring. This shall be a perpetual statute for you throughout your generations.
And you shall say to them: Any man of the sons of Israel, or of the sons of the proselytes residing among you, who offers a whole burnt offering or a sacrifice,
And any man of the sons of Israel or of the proselytes residing among you who eats any blood, I will set my face against the soul that eats the blood, and I will destroy it from among its people.
For the life of all flesh is its blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for its blood makes atonement in place of the soul.
And any man of the sons of Israel or of the proselytes residing among you who hunts a catch, a beast or a bird that is eaten, shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
For the life of all flesh is its blood; and I said to the sons of Israel: You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, because the life of all flesh is its blood; everyone who eats it shall be utterly destroyed.
And every soul that eats what has died of itself or what was torn by beasts, whether among the natives or among the proselytes, shall wash his garments and bathe in water, and he shall be unclean until evening, and then he shall be clean.
