6:1
ወተዘከሩ፡ ዕለተ፡ ሞትክሙ፡ ወሐልደዋ፡ ለእንተ፡ ትመጽአክሙ፡ አመ፡ ትወጽእ፡ ነፍስ፡ ክሙ፡ እምሥጋክሙ፡ ወአመ፡ ተኃድጉ፡ ለባዕድ፡ ብዕለክሙ፡ ወትሐውሩ፡ ፍኖተ፡ ኀበ፡ ኢተአምሩ።
你要記念你死亡的日子，思想那要臨到你的事，就是你的靈魂離開肉身、你把財富撇給別人、你走上你所不知道之路的時候。
And remember the day of your death, and ponder that which shall come upon you, when your soul departs from your body, and you leave your wealth to another, and you go on a way you do not know.
6:2
ወእለ፡ ይትሜጠዉክሙኒ፡ ፀዋጋን፡ እሙንቱ፡ ወኅሡማን፡ በራዕዮሙ፡ ወመፍርሃን፡ በግርማሆሙ፡ ወኢይሰምዑ፡ ቃለክሙ፡ ወኢተሰምዑ፡ ቃሎሙ።
那些要來接你的乃是兇惡的，其相貌醜陋，其威猛令人恐懼；它們不聽你的話，你也聽不見它們的話。
And those who shall receive you are cruel and hideous in their appearance, and terrifying in their dreadfulness; they will not hear your words, nor will you hear their words.
6:3
ወሶበሂ፡ ለአልክምዎሙ፡ ኢይሠጠውክሙ፡ በእንተ፡ ዘኢገብርክሙ፡ ፈቃደ፡ እግዚአብ፡ ሔር፡ አምላክክሙ፡ ወበእንተዝኪ፡ ይፈርሁክሙ፡ ፈድፋደ።
你向它們哀求的時候，它們也不應允你，因為你沒有遵行那良善之主你神的旨意；為此緣故，它們要大大地恐嚇你。
And when you beseech them, they will not answer you, because you did not do the will of the Lord your good God; and for this cause they will terrify you exceedingly.
6:4
ወእለሰ፡ ገብሩ፡ ፈቃዶ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ አልቦሙ፡ ፍርሃት፡ እስመ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ይፈርህ፡ ዎሙ፡ ወለነፍስ፡ ኃጥአንሰ፡ ይሣለቅዎሙ፡ አጋንንት።
那些遵行主旨意的人卻沒有懼怕，因為鬼魔反倒怕他們；但鬼魔卻譏笑罪人的靈魂。
But those who did the will of the Lord have no fear, for the demons fear them; but the demons mock the souls of sinners.
6:5
ወለነፍሳተ፡ ጻድቃንሰ፡ ይትፌሥሑ፡ በይባቤ፡ መላእክት፡ እስመ፡ ያስተፌሥሖሙ፡ ፈድፋደ፡ በእንተ፡ ዘመነንዎ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ዓለም፡ ወለነፍሳተ፡ ኃጥአንሰ፡ ይትሜጠውዎሙ፡ መላእክተ፡ ጸዋጋን።
義人的靈魂卻與天使的歡呼一同喜樂，因他們輕看了這世界，便大得歡欣；罪人的靈魂卻被那兇惡的使者接去。
But the souls of the righteous rejoice with the jubilation of the angels, for they are greatly gladdened because they despised this world; but the souls of sinners the cruel angels receive.
6:6
ወለነፍሳተ፡ ጻድቃንሰ፡ ወሔራን፡ ይትሜጠውዎሙ፡ መላእክተ፡ ምሕረት፡ እስመ፡ እምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ይትፌነዉ፡ ከመ፡ ይናዝዝዎሙ፡ ለነፍሳተ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ወለነፍሳተ፡ ኃጥአንሰ፡ እስመ፡ እምኀበ፡ ዲያብሎስ፡ ይትፌነዉ፡ መላእክት፡ ፀዋጋን፡ ከመ፡ ይሳለቅዎን፡ ለነፍሳተ፡ ኃጥአን።
義人和善人的靈魂卻有施憐憫的天使來接，因為他們是奉神差遣來安慰義人的靈魂；至於罪人的靈魂，既有兇惡的使者從魔鬼那裡奉差來譏笑他們，鬼魔便接去罪人的靈魂。
But the souls of the righteous and the good, the angels of mercy receive, for they are sent from God to comfort the souls of the righteous; but the souls of sinners, since cruel angels are sent from the Devil to mock them, the demons receive the souls of sinners.
6:7
አሌ፡ ለክሙ፡ ኃጥአን፡ ብኩ፡ ላዕለ፡ ርእስክሙ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ትብጻሕክሙ፡ ዕለተ፡ ሞትክሙ፡ እስመ፡ እምድኅረ፡ ሞትክሙሰ፡ ኢይገብዕ፡ መዋዕሌክሙ፡ ዘኃለፈ።
罪人哪，你們有禍了！要趁你們死亡的日子未到，先為自己哀哭；因為你們死後，所過去的日子就不再回來。
Woe to you, sinners! Weep for yourselves before the day of your death comes upon you; for after your death, your days that have passed shall not return.
6:8
አላ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ይኅልፍ፡ መዋዕሊክሙ፡ ነስሑ፡ በዘሀሎክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ትኩኑ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ደዌ፡ ወሕማም፡ አመ፡ ትበጽሑ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በፍሥሐ።
趁你們的日子未過去以先，要趁著還有時候悔改，使你們歡歡喜喜地到神面前的時候，沒有疾病痛苦；因為你們既死，時候就不再回來，所以現今要哀哭。
But before your days pass, repent while you have time, that you may be without sickness and pain when you come before God in joy; for your time shall not return once you have died, so weep now.
6:9
ወኢይከውን፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ ነውር፡ እኩ፡ ወሕንቋቌ፡ ወአፍቅሮ፡ ተድላ፡ ወመባልዕት፡ ከመ፡ ኢይስሐብክሙ፡ ውስተ፡ ፍትወተ፡ ከንቱ፡ ዘያርኅቅ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር፡ እስመ፡ ነፍስ፡ ጽግብት፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ዓቅም፡ ኢትዜከር፡ ስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወኢየኃድር፡ ላዕሌሃ፡ መንፈሰ፡ ሕይወት፡ አላ፡ የኃድር፡ ላዕሌሃ፡ መንፈስ፡ ዲያብሎስ።
不可使你們有惡毒的瑕疵、放縱、貪愛宴樂和食物，免得這些把你們拖入那使你們遠離神的虛空情慾；因為無節制飽足的人不記念神的名，生命的靈也不住在他裡面，倒有魔鬼的靈住在其中。
And let there not be in you evil blemish, and licentiousness, and the love of pleasure and of foods, lest it drag you into vain desire that removes you far from God; for a soul sated without measure does not remember the name of God, and the spirit of life does not dwell in it, but the spirit of the Devil dwells in it.
6:10
በከመ፡ ይቤ፡ ሙሴ፡ በልዓ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ ወፀግበ፡ ወሰብሐ፡ ወገዝፈ፡ ወርኀበ፡ ወኀደጎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ፈጣሪሁ።
正如摩西所說：雅各喫了就飽足；他長得肥胖粗壯，便離棄造他的神。
As Moses said: Jacob ate and was filled; he grew fat and thick and gross, and he forsook God his Creator.
6:11
ወርኅከ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር፡ ሕይወቱ፡ እስመ፡ ምልዓተ፡ ከርሥ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ዓቅም፡ ከመ፡ ሃለሌ፡ ፈረስ፡ ወከመ፡ ሐራውያን፡ ዘገዳም፡ በሊዕ፡ ወሰትይ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ዓቅም፡ ወዝሙት።
一個無節制飽足的肚腹，如同肥壯的馬，又像曠野的野豬一般，喫喝沒有節制，又行淫亂——這樣的生活叫人的性命遠離神。
For a belly filled without measure, like a fattened horse and like the wild boars of the wilderness in eating and drinking without restraint, and in fornication—such a way of life removes one's life far from God.
6:12
ወዘሰ፡ ኢይመልዕ፡ ከርሦ፡ በመሠረተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ፅኑዕ፡ ወከመ፡ ዓረፍተ፡ አድማስ፡ ወከመ፡ ንድቅ፡ ጽኑዕ፡ ዘቦቱ፡ ቅጽር፡ እስመ፡ ይቤ፡ ይጐይይ፡ ረሲዕ፡ እንዘ፡ አልቦ፡ ዘይሰ፡ ድደ።
但那不縱口腹的人，靠著神的扶持就剛強，像天際的牆垣，又像有城牆環繞的堅固建築；因為經上說：惡人雖無人追趕也逃跑。
But he who does not fill his belly is strong by the support of God, like the wall of the horizon and like a firm structure that has a rampart; for it is said: The wicked flee when no one pursues.
6:13
ወጽድቅሰ፡ ከመ፡ አንበሳ፡ ውኩል።
義人卻受人尊重，如同獅子。
But the righteous is honored, like a lion.
6:14
ወእለሰ፡ ኢያፈቅርዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ቃሎኒ፡ ኢየዓቅቡ፡ ወልቦሙኒ፡ ኢኮነ፡ ርቱዓ።
那些不愛神的人卻不遵守祂的話，他們的心也不正直。
But those who do not love God do not keep His word, and their heart is not upright.
6:15
ወእግዚአብሔር፡ ይሁቦሙ፡ ድንጋፄ፡ ወኀዘን፡ እንዘ፡ ሀለዉ፡ በዲበ፡ ምድር፡ ክመ፡ ኢያዕርፉ፡ በፍርሃት፡ ወበረዓድ፡ ወበመሢጠ፡ ንዋዮሙ፡ ወበምንዳቤያት፡ ብዙኅ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኊልቍ፡ ወበሰናስል፡ ዘውስተ፡ እደዊሆሙ፡ እምእደ፡ አጋዕዝቲሆሙ።
當他們還在地上的時候，神必使他們驚惶憂傷，叫他們不得安息，反在懼怕戰兢之中，財物被人奪去，又陷在無數的患難裡，並被主人用鎖鏈鎖住他們的手；
And God shall give them terror and sorrow while they are upon the earth, that they may have no rest, but be in fear and trembling, and in the plundering of their goods, and in many tribulations without number, and in chains upon their hands at the hand of their masters;
6:16
ወበሕማማት፡ ዘዘዚአሆሙ፡ ዘያደነግፁ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይኩኑ፡ ዕሩፋነ፡ ወኢበሰላም፡ ንብረ፡ ቶሙ።
又陷在各樣使他們各人驚惶的疾病裡，叫他們不得安息，他們的住處也不得平安。
and in diverse sicknesses that terrify each of them, that they may not be at rest, and that their dwelling may not be in peace.
