1:1

በብዙኅ ነገር ወበብዙኅ መክፈልት አይድዐ እግዚአብሔር ለአበዊነ በነቢያቲሁ እምትካት።

上帝既在古時藉着眾先知多次多方地曉諭列祖，

God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,

1:2

ወበደኃሪሰ መዋዕል ነገረነ በወልዱ ዘረሰዮ ወራሴ ለኵሉ ወቦቱ ፈጠሮ ለኵሉ።

就在這末世藉着他兒子曉諭我們；又早已立他為承受萬有的，也曾藉着他創造諸世界。

has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

1:3

ዘውእቱ ብርሃነ ስብሐቲሁ ወአምሳለ አርኣያሁ ዘይእኅዝ ኵሎ በኀይለ ቃሉ ወውእቱ በህላዌሁ ገብረ በዘያነጽሕ ኀጢአተነ ወነበረ በየማነ ዕበዩ በሰማያት።

他是上帝榮耀所發的光輝，是上帝本體的真像，常用他權能的命令托住萬有。他洗淨了人的罪，就坐在高天至大者的右邊。

His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,

1:4

ወተለዐለ እመላእክት በዘመጠነዝ ኀየሰ ወወረሰ ስመ ዘየዐቢ እምአስማቲሆሙ ወይከብር።

他所承受的名，既比天使的名更尊貴，就遠超過天使。

having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.

1:5

ለመኑ እመላእክቲሁ ይቤሎ እምአመ ኮነ «ወልድየ አንተ ወአነ ዮም ወለድኩከ» ወካዕበ ይቤ «አነ እከውኖ አባሁ ወውእቱኒ ይከውነኒ ወልድየ።»

所有的天使，上帝從來對哪一個說：你是我的兒子，我今日生你？又指着哪一個說：我要作他的父，他要作我的子？

For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”

1:6

ወአመ ካዕበ ፈነዎ ለበኵሩ ውስተ ዓለም ይቤ ይሰግዱ ሎቱ ኵሎሙ መላእክተ እግዚአብሔር።

再者，上帝使長子到世上來的時候，就說：上帝的使者都要拜他。

When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”

1:7

ወበእንተ መላእክቲሁሰ ይቤ ዘይሬስዮሙ ለመላእክቲሁ መንፈሰ ወለእለ ይትለአክዎ ነደ እሳት።

論到使者，又說：上帝以風為使者，以火焰為僕役；

Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”

1:8

ወበእንተ ወልዱሰ ይቤ መንበርከ እግዚኦ ለዓለመ ዓለም በትረ ጽድቅ ወበትረ መንግሥትከ።

論到子卻說：上帝啊，你的寶座是永永遠遠的；你的國權是正直的。

But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.

1:9

አፍቀርከ ጽድቀ ወዐመፃ ጸላእከ ወበእንተዝ ቀብዐከ እግዚአብሔር አምላክከ ቅብዐ ትፍሥሕት ዘይኄይስ እምእለ ከማከ።

你喜愛公義，恨惡罪惡；所以上帝，就是你的上帝，用喜樂油膏你，勝過膏你的同伴；

You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
