3:1
ወሀሎ አሐዱ ብእሲ እምፈሪሳውያን ዘስሙ ኒቆዲሞስ መልአኮሙ ለአይሁድ።
有一個法利賽人，名叫尼哥德慕，是猶太人的官。
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
3:2
ወውእቱ መጽአ ኀበ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ቀዲሙ ሌሊተ ወይቤሎ ረቢ ነአምር ከመ እምኀበ እግዚአብሔር መጻእከ ከመ ትኩን መምህረ እስመ አልቦ ዘይክል ይግበር ዘንተ ተአምረ ዘአንተ ትገብር ዘእንበለ ዘእግዚአብሔር ምስሌሁ።
這人夜裏來見耶穌，說：「拉比，我們知道你是由上帝那裏來作師傅的；因為你所行的神蹟，若沒有上帝同在，無人能行。」
He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”
3:3
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ አማን አማን እብለከ ዘኢተወልደ ዳግመ ኢይሬእያ ለመንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር።
耶穌回答說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不重生，就不能見上帝的國。」
Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
3:4
ወይቤሎ ኒቆዲሞስ እፎ ይክል ሰብእ ዳግመ ተወልዶ እምድኅረ ልህቀ ይክልኑ በዊአ ወገቢአ ውስተ ከርሠ እሙ ወይትወለድ ዳግመ።
尼哥德慕說：「人已經老了，如何能重生呢？豈能再進母腹生出來嗎？」
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
3:5
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ አማን አማን እብለከ ዘኢተወልደ ዳግመ እማይ ወእመንፈስ ቅዱስ ኢይክል በዊአ ውስተ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር።
耶穌說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進上帝的國。
Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.
3:6
እስመ ዘተወልደ እምሥጋ ሥጋ ውእቱ ወዘተወልደ እመንፈስ መንፈስ ውእቱ።
從肉身生的就是肉身；從靈生的就是靈。
That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7
ወበእንተ ዝንቱ ኢታንክር እስመ እቤለከ ሀለወክሙ ትትወለዱ ዳግመ።
我說：『你們必須重生』，你不要以為希奇。
Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must all be born anew.’
3:8
እስመ መንፈስ ኀበ ፈቀደ ይነፍኅ ወቃሎ ትሰምዕ ወኢተአምር እምኀበ ይመጽእ ወኀበሂ የሐውር ከማሁኬ ውእቱ ኵሉ ዘይትወለድ እመንፈስ ቅዱስ።
風隨着意思吹，你聽見風的響聲，卻不曉得從哪裏來，往哪裏去；凡從聖靈生的，也是如此。」
The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
3:9
ወአውሥአ ኒቆዲሞስ ወይቤሎ እፎ ይትከሀል ዝንቱ ይኩን።
尼哥德慕問他說：「怎能有這事呢？」
Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”
3:10
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ አንተ ሊቆሙ ለእስራኤል ወዘንተ ነገረ ኢተአምር።
耶穌回答說：「你是以色列人的先生，還不明白這事嗎？
Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?
3:11
አማን አማን እብለከ ከመ ዘነአምር ንነግር ወበዘርኢነ ሰማዕተ ንከውን ወስምዐነሰ ተአብዩነ ነሢአ።
我實實在在地告訴你，我們所說的是我們知道的；我們所見證的是我們見過的；你們卻不領受我們的見證。
Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.
3:12
ወሶበ እንዘ ዘበምድር እነግረክሙ ኢተአምኑኒ እፎ እንከ ተአምኑኒ እመ ነገርኩክሙ ዘበሰማያት።
我對你們說地上的事，你們尚且不信，若說天上的事，如何能信呢？
If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
3:13
ወአልቦ ዘዐርገ ውስተ ሰማይ ዘእንበለ ዘወረደ እምሰማይ ወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ዘውእቱ ይነብር ውስተ ሰማይ።
除了從天降下、仍舊在天的人子，沒有人升過天。
No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
3:14
ወበከመ ሙሴ ሰቀሎ ለአርዌ ምድር በገዳም ከማሁ ሀለዎ ለወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ይሰቀል።
摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇，人子也必照樣被舉起來，
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
3:15
ከመ ኵሉ ዘየአምን ቦቱ ኢይትኀጐል አላ የሐዩ ለዓለም።
叫一切信他的都得永生 。
that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:16
እስመ ከመዝ አፍቀሮ እግዚአብሔር ለዓለም እስከ ወልዶ ዋሕደ መጠወ ወወሀበ ቤዛ ለኵሉ ከመ ኵሉ ዘየአምን ቦቱ ኢይትኀጐል አላ ይረክብ ሕይወተ ዘለዓለም።
「上帝愛世人，甚至將他的獨生子賜給他們，叫一切信他的，不致滅亡，反得永生。
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:17
እስመ ኢፈነዎ እግዚአብሔር ለወልዱ ውስተ ዓለም ከመ ይኰንኖ ለዓለም ዘእንበለ ከመ ያሕይዎ ለዓለም በእንቲኣሁ።
因為上帝差他的兒子降世，不是要定世人的罪 ，乃是要叫世人因他得救。
For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
3:18
ዘየአምን ቦቱ ኢይትኴነን ወዘሰ ኢየአምን ቦቱ ወድአ ተኰነነ እስመ ኢአምነ በስመ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር ዋሕድ።
信他的人，不被定罪；不信的人，罪已經定了，因為他不信上帝獨生子的名。
He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
3:19
ወዝ ውእቱ ኵነኔሁ እስመ ብርሃን መጽአ ውስተ ዓለም ወአብደረ ሰብእ ጽልመተ እምብርሃን ፈድፋደ እስመ እኩይ ምግባሩ።
光來到世間，世人因自己的行為是惡的，不愛光，倒愛黑暗，定他們的罪就是在此。
This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.
3:20
እስመ ኵሉ ዘእኩይ ምግባሩ ይጸልእ ብርሃነ ወኢይመጽእ ኀበ ብርሃን ከመ ኢይትከሠቶ ምግባሩ እስመ እኩይ ውእቱ።
凡作惡的便恨光，並不來就光，恐怕他的行為受責備。
For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
3:21
ወዘሰ ጽድቀ ይገብር ይመጽእ ኀበ ብርሃን ከመ ያስተርኢ ምግባሩ እስመ በእንተ እግዚአብሔር ይገብር።
但行真理的必來就光，要顯明他所行的是靠上帝而行。」
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
3:22
ወእምዝ ሖረ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ምስለ አርዳኢሁ ውስተ ምድረ ይሁዳ ወህየ ነበረ ምስሌሆሙ እንዘ ያጠምቅ።
這事以後，耶穌和門徒到了猶太地，在那裏居住，施洗。
After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.
3:23
ወሀሎ ዮሐንስኒ ያጠምቅ በሄኖን በቅሩበ ሳሌም በማዕዶተ ዮርዳኖስ እስመ ቦቱ ህየ ብዙኅ ማያት ወይመጽኡ ኀቤሁ ብዙኃን ወያጠምቆሙ።
約翰在靠近撒冷的哀嫩也施洗；因為那裏水多，眾人都去受洗。（
John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized;
3:24
እስመ ዓዲሁ ኢተወድየ ዮሐንስ ውስተ ቤተ ሞቅሕ።
那時約翰還沒有下在監裏。）
for John was not yet thrown into prison.
3:25
ወእምዝ ኮነ ተኃሥሦ ማእከለ አርዳኢሁ ለዮሐንስ ምስለ አይሁድ በእንተ አጥሕሮ።
約翰的門徒和一個猶太人辯論潔淨的禮，
Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.
3:26
ወሖሩ ኀበ ዮሐንስ ወይቤልዎ ረቢ ዝኩ ዘምስሌከ ሀሎ በማዕዶተ ዮርዳኖስ ዘአንተ ሰማዕተ ኮንከ በእንቲኣሁ ናሁ ሀሎ ውእቱሂ ያጠምቅ ወኵሉ የሐውር ኀቤሁ።
就來見約翰，說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河外、你所見證的那位，現在施洗，眾人都往他那裏去了。」
They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”
3:27
ወአውሥአ ዮሐንስ ወይቤ ኢይክል ሰብእ ነሢአ ጸጋ ለሊሁ ወኢምንተኒ እመ ኢተውህበ ሎቱ እምሰማይ።
約翰說：「若不是從天上賜的，人就不能得甚麼。
John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
3:28
አንትሙ ለሊክሙ ሰማዕትየ ከመ እቤለክሙ አንሰ ኢኮንኩ ክርስቶስሃ ዳእሙ ተፈነውኩ ቅድሜሁ እስብክ።
我曾說：『我不是基督，是奉差遣在他前面的』，你們自己可以給我作見證。
You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’
3:29
ዘቦቱ መርዓት መርዓዊ ውእቱ ወአርኩሰ ለመርዓዊ ዘይቀውም ወይሰምዖ ፍሥሓ ይትፌሣሕ በእንተ ቃለ መርዓዊ ወመርዓት ወፍሥሓ ዚኣየሰ ናሁ ተፈጸመት።
娶新婦的就是新郎；新郎的朋友站着，聽見新郎的聲音就甚喜樂。故此，我這喜樂滿足了。
He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.
3:30
ወእንቲኣሁሰ ትበዝኅ ወእንቲኣየሰ ተሰልጠት።
他必興旺，我必衰微。」
He must increase, but I must decrease.
3:31
እስመ ዘእምላዕሉ መጽአ መልዕልተ ኵሉ ውእቱ ወዘእምድርሰ ምድራዊ ውእቱ ወዘበምድር ይነገር ወዘሰ እምሰማይ መጽአ መልዕልተ ኵሉ ውእቱ።
「從天上來的是在萬有之上；從地上來的是屬乎地，他所說的也是屬乎地。從天上來的是在萬有之上。
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
3:32
ወበዘርእየ ወበዘሰምዐ ሰማዕተ ይከውን ወስምዖሰ አልቦ ዘይትዌከፎ።
他將所見所聞的見證出來，只是沒有人領受他的見證。
What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.
3:33
ወለዘሰ ተወክፎ ስምዖ ዐተቦ እግዚአብሔር እስመ ጻድቅ ውእቱ።
那領受他見證的，就印上印，證明上帝是真的。
He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.
3:34
ወዘእግዚአብሔር ፈነዎ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ይነግር እስመ አኮ በመስፈርት ዘይሁብ እግዚአብሔር መንፈሶ።
上帝所差來的就說上帝的話，因為上帝賜聖靈給他是沒有限量的。
For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.
3:35
አብሰ ያፈቅር ወልዶ ወኵሎ ኵነኔሁ አወፈዮ ውስተ እዴሁ።
父愛子，已將萬有交在他手裏。
The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
3:36
ዘየአምን በወልድ ቦ ሕይወት ዘለዓለም ወዘሰ ኢየአምን በወልድ ኢይሬእያ ለሕይወት ዘለዓለም አላ መቅሠፍተ መዓቱ ለእግዚአብሔር ይነብር ላዕሌሁ።
信子的人有永生；不信子的人得不着永生 ，上帝的震怒常在他身上。」
One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
