7:1
וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ אַנְשֵׁ֣י׀ קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֗ים וַֽיַּעֲלוּ֙ אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן יְהֹוָ֔ה וַיָּבִ֣אוּ אֹת֔וֹ אֶל־בֵּ֥ית אֲבִינָדָ֖ב בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה וְאֶת־אֶלְעָזָ֤ר בְּנוֹ֙ קִדְּשׁ֔וּ לִשְׁמֹ֖ר אֶת־אֲר֥וֹן יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ ἔρχονται οἱ ἄνδρες Καριαθιαριμ καὶ ἀνάγουσιν τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ εἰσάγουσιν αὐτὴν εἰς οἶκον Αμιναδαβ τὸν ἐν τῷ βουνῷ καὶ τὸν Ελεαζαρ υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἡγίασαν φυλάσσειν τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου
Venerunt ergo viri Cariathiarim, et reduxerunt arcam Domini, et intulerunt eam in domum Abinadab in Gabaa : Eleazarum autem filium ejus sanctificaverunt, ut custodiret arcam Domini.
ወመጽኡ፡ ሰብአ፡ ቀርያተ፡ ያርም፡ ወነሥእዋ፡ ለታቦተ፡ ሕጉ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወወሰድዋ፡ ቤተ፡ አሚናዳብ፡ ዘውስተ፡ ወግር፡ ወቀብእዎ፡ ለአልዓዘር፡ ከመ፡ ይዕቀባ፡ ለታቦተ፡ ሕጉ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
The men of Kiriath Jearim came and took Yahweh’s ark, and brought it into Abinadab’s house on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep Yahweh’s ark.
7:2
וַיְהִ֗י מִיּ֞וֹם שֶׁ֤בֶת הָאָרוֹן֙ בְּקִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֔ים וַיִּרְבּוּ֙ הַיָּמִ֔ים וַיִּהְי֖וּ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיִּנָּה֛וּ כׇּל־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אַחֲרֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγενήθη ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἦν ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐν Καριαθιαριμ ἐπλήθυναν αἱ ἡμέραι καὶ ἐγένοντο εἴκοσι ἔτη καὶ ἐπέβλεψεν πᾶς οἶκος Ισραηλ ὀπίσω κυρίου
Et factum est, ex qua die mansit arca Domini in Cariathiarim, multiplicati sunt dies (erat quippe jam annus vigesimus), et requievit omnis domus Israël post Dominum.
ወእምዝ፡ እምድኅረ፡ ነበረት፡ ታቦት፡ ውስተ፡ ቀርያተ፡ ያርም፡ ወኮነ፡ ብዙኀ፡ መዋዕስ፡ ወአከለ፡ ፳ዓመተ፡ ወተመይጠ፡ ኵሉ፡ ቤተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ድኅሬሁ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
From the day that the ark stayed in Kiriath Jearim, the time was long—for it was twenty years; and all the house of Israel lamented after Yahweh.
7:3
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל אֶל־כׇּל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ לֵאמֹר֒ אִם־בְּכׇל־לְבַבְכֶ֗ם אַתֶּ֤ם שָׁבִים֙ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה הָסִ֜ירוּ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֧י הַנֵּכָ֛ר מִתּוֹכְכֶ֖ם וְהָעַשְׁתָּר֑וֹת וְהָכִ֨ינוּ לְבַבְכֶ֤ם אֶל־יְהֹוָה֙ וְעִבְדֻ֣הוּ לְבַדּ֔וֹ וְיַצֵּ֥ל אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִיַּ֥ד פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃
καὶ εἶπεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς πάντα οἶκον Ισραηλ λέγων εἰ ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν ὑμεῖς ἐπιστρέφετε πρὸς κύριον περιέλετε τοὺς θεοὺς τοὺς ἀλλοτρίους ἐκ μέσου ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ ἄλση καὶ ἑτοιμάσατε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν πρὸς κύριον καὶ δουλεύσατε αὐτῷ μόνῳ καὶ ἐξελεῖται ὑμᾶς ἐκ χειρὸς ἀλλοφύλων
Ait autem Samuel ad universam domum Israël, dicens : Si in toto corde vestro revertimini ad Dominum, auferte deos alienos de medio vestri, Baalim et Astaroth : et praeparate corda vestra Domino, et servite ei soli, et eruet vos de manu Philisthiim.
ወይቤሎሙ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ለኵሉ፡ ቤተ፡ እስራኤል፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል፡ ለእመ፡ በኵሉ፡ ልብክሙ፡ ገባእክሙ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አንትሙ፡ አሰስሉ፡ እምነ፡ ማእከሌክሙ፡ አማልክት፡ ነኪር፡ [ወአምሳሊሆሙ፡] ወአስተዳልዉ፡ ልበክሙ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወተቀነዩ፡ ሎቱ፡ ለባሕቲቱ፡ ወያድኅነክሙ፡ እምነ፡ እዴሆሙ፡ ለኢሎፍሊ።
Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you are returning to Yahweh with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts to Yahweh, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”
7:4
וַיָּסִ֙ירוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶת־הַבְּעָלִ֖ים וְאֶת־הָעַשְׁתָּרֹ֑ת וַיַּעַבְד֥וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה לְבַדּֽוֹ׃ {פ}
καὶ περιεῖλον οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὰς Βααλιμ καὶ τὰ ἄλση Ασταρωθ καὶ ἐδούλευσαν κυρίῳ μόνῳ
Abstulerunt ergo filii Israël Baalim et Astaroth, et servierunt Domino soli.
ወአሰሰሉ፡ ደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ አማልክት፡ በዓሊም፡ ወአምሳላተ፡ ዘአስጣሮት፡ ወተቀንዩ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ለባሕቲቱ።
Then the children of Israel removed the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and served Yahweh only.
7:5
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל קִבְצ֥וּ אֶת־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הַמִּצְפָּ֑תָה וְאֶתְפַּלֵּ֥ל בַּעַדְכֶ֖ם אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃
καὶ εἶπεν Σαμουηλ ἀθροίσατε πάντα Ισραηλ εἰς Μασσηφαθ καὶ προσεύξομαι περὶ ὑμῶν πρὸς κύριον
Dixit autem Samuel : Congregate universum Israël in Masphath, ut orem pro vobis Dominum.
ወይቤሎሙ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ አስተጋብእዎሙ፡ ለኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ ውስተ፡ መሴፋ፡ ወእጼሊ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በእንቲአክሙ።
Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to Yahweh for you.”
7:6
וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ הַ֠מִּצְפָּ֠תָה וַיִּֽשְׁאֲבוּ־מַ֜יִם וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכ֣וּ׀ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה וַיָּצ֙וּמוּ֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ שָׁ֔ם חָטָ֖אנוּ לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֧ט שְׁמוּאֵ֛ל אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בַּמִּצְפָּֽה׃
καὶ συνήχθησαν εἰς Μασσηφαθ καὶ ὑδρεύονται ὕδωρ καὶ ἐξέχεαν ἐνώπιον κυρίου ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐνήστευσαν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ εἶπαν ἡμαρτήκαμεν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐδίκαζεν Σαμουηλ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ εἰς Μασσηφαθ
Et convenerunt in Masphath : hauseruntque aquam, et effuderunt in conspectu Domini : et jejunaverunt in die illa atque dixerunt ibi : Peccavimus Domino. Judicavitque Samuel filios Israël in Masphath.
ወተጋብኡ፡ ውስተ፡ መሴፋ፡ ወአምጽኡ፡ ማየ፡ ወከዐዉ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ወጾሙ፡ ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ወይቤሉ፡ አበስነ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወኰነኖሙ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ለደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ በመሴፋ።
They gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before Yahweh, and fasted on that day, and said there, “We have sinned against Yahweh.” Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.
7:7
וַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים כִּֽי־הִתְקַבְּצ֤וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ הַמִּצְפָּ֔תָה וַיַּעֲל֥וּ סַרְנֵֽי־פְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים אֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיִּֽרְא֖וּ מִפְּנֵ֥י פְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃
καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ὅτι συνηθροίσθησαν πάντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ εἰς Μασσηφαθ καὶ ἀνέβησαν σατράπαι ἀλλοφύλων ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἀκούουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν ἀπὸ προσώπου ἀλλοφύλων
Et audierunt Philisthiim quod congregati essent filii Israël in Masphath, et ascenderunt satrapae Philisthinorum ad Israël. Quod cum audissent filii Israël, timuerunt a facie Philisthinorum.
ወሰምዑ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ከመ፡ ተጋብኡ፡ ደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ውስተ፡ መሴፋ፡ ወዐርጉ፡ መሳፍንተ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ላዕስ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወሶበ፡ ሰምዑ፡ ደቂቅ፡ እስራኤል፡ ፈርሁ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ገጾመ፡ ለኢሎፍሊ።
When the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together at Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. When the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.
7:8
וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶל־שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל אַל־תַּחֲרֵ֣שׁ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ מִזְּעֹ֖ק אֶל־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וְיֹשִׁעֵ֖נוּ מִיַּ֥ד פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃
καὶ εἶπαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πρὸς Σαμουηλ μὴ παρασιωπήσῃς ἀφ’ ἡμῶν τοῦ μὴ βοᾶν πρὸς κύριον θεόν σου καὶ σώσει ἡμᾶς ἐκ χειρὸς ἀλλοφύλων
Dixeruntque ad Samuelem : Ne cesses pro nobis clamare ad Dominum Deum nostrum, ut salvet nos de manu Philisthinorum.
ወይቤልዎ፡ ደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ለሳሙኤል፡ ኢታርምም፡ በእንቲአነ፡ ወጽራኅ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላክከ፡ ወያድኅነነ፡ እምነ፡ እዴሆሙ፡ ስኢሎፍሊ።
The children of Israel said to Samuel, “Don’t stop crying to Yahweh our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.”
7:9
וַיִּקַּ֣ח שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל טְלֵ֤ה חָלָב֙ אֶחָ֔ד (ויעלה) [וַיַּֽעֲלֵ֧הוּ] עוֹלָ֛ה כָּלִ֖יל לַיהֹוָ֑ה וַיִּזְעַ֨ק שְׁמוּאֵ֤ל אֶל־יְהֹוָה֙ בְּעַ֣ד יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֖הוּ יְהֹוָֽה׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Σαμουηλ ἄρνα γαλαθηνὸν ἕνα καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν αὐτὸν ὁλοκαύτωσιν σὺν παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ ἐβόησεν Σαμουηλ πρὸς κύριον περὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπήκουσεν αὐτοῦ κύριος
Tulit autem Samuel agnum lactentem unum, et obtulit illum holocaustum integrum Domino : et clamavit Samuel ad Dominum pro Israël, et exaudivit eum Dominus.
ወነሥአ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ መሐስዐ፡ በግዕ፡ አሐደ፡ ወገብሮ፡ መሥዋዕተ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ምስለ፡ ኵሉ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ወጸርኀ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በእንተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወሰምዖ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to Yahweh. Samuel cried to Yahweh for Israel, and Yahweh answered him.
7:10
וַיְהִ֤י שְׁמוּאֵל֙ מַעֲלֶ֣ה הָעוֹלָ֔ה וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֣ים נִגְּשׁ֔וּ לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיַּרְעֵ֣ם יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּקוֹל־גָּ֠ד֠וֹל בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֤וּא עַל־פְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ וַיְהֻמֵּ֔ם וַיִּנָּגְפ֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
καὶ ἦν Σαμουηλ ἀναφέρων τὴν ὁλοκαύτωσιν καὶ ἀλλόφυλοι προσῆγον εἰς πόλεμον ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐβρόντησεν κύριος ἐν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ συνεχύθησαν καὶ ἔπταισαν ἐνώπιον Ισραηλ
Factum est autem, cum Samuel offerret holocaustum, Philisthiim iniere praelium contra Israël : intonuit autem Dominus fragore magno in die illa super Philisthiim, et exterruit eos, et caesi sunt a facie Israël.
ወእንዘ፡ ሀሎ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ይገብር፡ መሥዋዕተ፡ ተኣኀዝዎሙ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ይትቃተልዎሙ፡ ወአንጐድጐደ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በጸዓዕ፡ በዐቢይ፡ ቃል፡ ላዕለ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ በይእቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ወደንገፁ፡ ወወድቁ፡ ቅድመ፡ እስራኤል።
As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines came near to battle against Israel; but Yahweh thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.
7:11
וַיֵּ֨צְא֜וּ אַנְשֵׁ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מִן־הַמִּצְפָּ֔ה וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֖וּ אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים וַיַּכּ֕וּם עַד־מִתַּ֖חַת לְבֵ֥ית כָּֽר׃
καὶ ἐξῆλθαν ἄνδρες Ισραηλ ἐκ Μασσηφαθ καὶ κατεδίωξαν τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτοὺς ἕως ὑποκάτω τοῦ Βαιθχορ
Egressique viri Israël de Masphath, persecuti sunt Philisthaeos, et percusserunt eos usque ad locum qui erat subter Bethchar.
ወወፅኡ፡ እስራኤል፡ ውስተ፡ መሴፋ፡ ወዴገንዎሙ፡ ለኢሎፍሊ፡ ወቀተልዎሙ፡ እስከ፡ መትሕተ፡ ቤኮር።
The men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and struck them until they came under Beth Kar.
7:12
וַיִּקַּ֨ח שְׁמוּאֵ֜ל אֶ֣בֶן אַחַ֗ת וַיָּ֤שֶׂם בֵּֽין־הַמִּצְפָּה֙ וּבֵ֣ין הַשֵּׁ֔ן וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־שְׁמָ֖הּ אֶ֣בֶן הָעָ֑זֶר וַיֹּאמַ֕ר עַד־הֵ֖נָּה עֲזָרָ֥נוּ יְהֹוָֽה׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Σαμουηλ λίθον ἕνα καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτὸν ἀνὰ μέσον Μασσηφαθ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς παλαιᾶς καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Αβενεζερ λίθος τοῦ βοηθοῦ καὶ εἶπεν ἕως ἐνταῦθα ἐβοήθησεν ἡμῖν κύριος
Tulit autem Samuel lapidem unum, et posuit eum inter Masphath et inter Sen : et vocavit nomen loci illius, Lapis adjutorii. Dixitque : Hucusque auxiliatus est nobis Dominus.
ወነሥአ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ እብነ፡ አሐተ፡ ወአቀማ፡ ማእከለ፡ ብሉይ፡ ወሰመያ፡ አቤኔዜር፡ እብነ፡ ረድኤት፡ ብሂል፡ ወይቤ፡ እስክ፡ ዝየ፡ ረድአነ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Yahweh helped us until now.”
7:13
וַיִּכָּֽנְעוּ֙ הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְלֹֽא־יָסְפ֣וּ ע֔וֹד לָב֖וֹא בִּגְב֣וּל יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַתְּהִ֤י יַד־יְהֹוָה֙ בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י שְׁמוּאֵֽל׃
καὶ ἐταπείνωσεν κύριος τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους καὶ οὐ προσέθεντο ἔτι προσελθεῖν εἰς ὅριον Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγενήθη χεὶρ κυρίου ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τοῦ Σαμουηλ
Et humiliati sunt Philisthiim, nec apposuerunt ultra ut venirent in terminos Israël. Facta est itaque manus Domini super Philisthaeos cunctis diebus Samuelis.
ወአሕመሞሙ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለኢሎፍሊ፡ ወኢደገሙ፡ እንከ፡ በዊኦተ፡ ውስተ፡ ደወሎሙ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ወኮነት፡ እዴሁ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ በኵሉ፡ መዋዕሊሁ፡ ለሳሙኤል።
So the Philistines were subdued, and they stopped coming within the border of Israel. Yahweh’s hand was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
7:14
וַתָּשֹׁ֣בְנָה הֶעָרִ֡ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָֽקְחוּ־פְלִשְׁתִּים֩ מֵאֵ֨ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל׀לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵעֶקְר֣וֹן וְעַד־גַּ֔ת וְאֶ֨ת־גְּבוּלָ֔ן הִצִּ֥יל יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִיַּ֣ד פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים וַיְהִ֣י שָׁל֔וֹם בֵּ֥ין יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וּבֵ֥ין הָאֱמֹרִֽי׃
καὶ ἀπεδόθησαν αἱ πόλεις ἃς ἔλαβον οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπέδωκαν αὐτὰς τῷ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ Ἀσκαλῶνος ἕως Αζοβ καὶ τὸ ὅριον Ισραηλ ἀφείλαντο ἐκ χειρὸς ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἦν εἰρήνη ἀνὰ μέσον Ισραηλ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ Αμορραίου
Et redditae sunt urbes quas tulerant Philisthiim ab Israël, Israëli, ab Accaron usque Geth, et terminos suos : liberavitque Israël de manu Philisthinorum, eratque pax inter Israël et Amorrhaeum.
ወገብኣ፡ እልክቱሂ፡ አህጉር፡ እለ፡ ነሥኡ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወአስተጋብእዎን፡ እስራኤል፡ እምነ፡ አስቃሎና፡ እስከ፡ ጌት፡ ወአስተጋብኡ፡ ደወሎሙ፡ እስራኤል፡ እምነ፡ ኢሎፍሊ፡ ወሰላም፡ ውእቱ፡ ማእከለ፡ አሞሬዎን፡ ወማእከለ፡ እስራኤል።
The cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even to Gath; and Israel recovered its border out of the hand of the Philistines. There was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
7:15
וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֤ט שְׁמוּאֵל֙ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו׃
καὶ ἐδίκαζεν Σαμουηλ τὸν Ισραηλ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ
Judicabat quoque Samuel Israëlem cunctis diebus vitae suae :
ወኰነኖሙ፡ ሳሙኤል፡ ለእስራኤል፡ በኵሉ፡ መዋዕሊሁ፡ ዘሐይወ።
Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.
7:16
וְהָלַ֗ךְ מִדֵּ֤י שָׁנָה֙ בְּשָׁנָ֔ה וְסָבַב֙ בֵּֽית־אֵ֔ל וְהַגִּלְגָּ֖ל וְהַמִּצְפָּ֑ה וְשָׁפַט֙ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵ֥ת כׇּל־הַמְּקוֹמ֖וֹת הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
καὶ ἐπορεύετο κατ’ ἐνιαυτὸν ἐνιαυτὸν καὶ ἐκύκλου Βαιθηλ καὶ τὴν Γαλγαλα καὶ τὴν Μασσηφαθ καὶ ἐδίκαζεν τὸν Ισραηλ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἡγιασμένοις τούτοις
et ibat per singulos annos circuiens Bethel et Galgala et Masphath, et judicabat Israëlem in supradictis locis.
ወየሐውር፡ በበዓመት፡ ወየዐውድ፡ ቤቴል፡ ወገልገላ፡ ወመሴፋ፡ ወይኴንኖሙ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ እሉ፡ ቅዱሳን።
He went from year to year in a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all those places.
7:17
וּתְשֻׁבָת֤וֹ הָרָמָ֙תָה֙ כִּֽי־שָׁ֣ם בֵּית֔וֹ וְשָׁ֖ם שָׁפָ֣ט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּבֶן־שָׁ֥ם מִזְבֵּ֖חַ לַיהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
ἡ δὲ ἀποστροφὴ αὐτοῦ εἰς Αρμαθαιμ ὅτι ἐκεῖ ἦν ὁ οἶκος αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐδίκαζεν ἐκεῖ τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐκεῖ θυσιαστήριον τῷ κυρίῳ
Revertebaturque in Ramatha : ibi enim erat domus ejus, et ibi judicabat Israëlem : aedificavit etiam ibi altare Domino.
ወምእታዉሰ፡ አርማቴም፡ እስመ፡ ህየ፡ ቤቱ፡ ወበህየኒ፡ ይኴንኖሙ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ወነደቀ፡ ህየ፡ ምሥዋፀ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
His return was to Ramah, for his house was there, and he judged Israel there; and he built an altar to Yahweh there.
