ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And the men of Kariathiarim come and bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and they bring it into the house of Aminadab, the one on the hill; and they sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
And it came to pass, from the day that the ark was in Kariathiarim, the days were multiplied and became twenty years; and all the house of Israel looked after the Lord.
And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, If you are turning to the Lord with all your heart, put away the foreign gods from among you, and the groves, and prepare your hearts toward the Lord, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
And they were gathered to Massephath, and they draw water and poured it out upon the ground before the Lord, and they fasted on that day, and they said, We have sinned before the Lord. And Samuel judged the sons of Israel at Massephath.
And the Philistines heard that all the sons of Israel had gathered to Massephath, and the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel; and the sons of Israel hear, and they were afraid before the face of the Philistines.
And the sons of Israel said to Samuel, Do not keep silent toward us, so as not to cry out to the Lord your God, and he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.
And Samuel took one suckling lamb and offered it up as a whole burnt offering to the Lord with all the people; and Samuel cried to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord listened to him.
And Samuel was offering up the whole burnt offering, and the Philistines drew near for battle against Israel; and the Lord thundered with a great voice on that day upon the Philistines, and they were thrown into confusion and were defeated before Israel.
And Samuel took one stone and set it up between Massephath and the old city, and he called its name Abenezer, the stone of the helper; and he said, Thus far the Lord has helped us.
And the Lord humbled the Philistines, and they did not come again into the border of Israel; and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
And the cities which the Philistines had taken from the sons of Israel were given back, and they restored them to Israel, from Ascalon to Azob; and they took back the border of Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorite.
